20 Best Hairspray To Hold Curls For Straight Hair (2023 Updated)

I love this product. I have gone through at least 10 brands over the last 10 years looking for something that would leave my hair soft and enable me to restyle it the next day without it feeling like there was a lot of build up.

My hair still feels very clean. I use Ouidad styling products so this is a finishing spray – a final spritz to make sure the curls I worked so hard to put right where I wanted them will still be there 8 hours later.

My hair stays soft to the touch all day.

My favorite hair spray. I have curly (3b-3c) hair and use this before I begin diffusing to help set my hair! Just learned it put it on BEFORE diffusing and it has made a wonderful difference in lasting hair! Also, no build up which is great and softens up so by the end of the day, there’s no reminiscent of it.

Great for everyday use especially after refreshing curls.

Do not buy this product. And do not buy it from Ulta. I bought two cans of this. When I could get the spray nozzle to work, it made my hair both frizzy and sticky. But every time I tried to used the product the spray nozzle would jam.

I tried to return it to Ulta and they wouldn’t accept the return. I offered to do an exchange and they wouldn’t permit it even though they could view the purchase on my member card. They offered me $2.

I went home and threw it away. But thinking about it, that is all the spray is worth!.

I have used their products in the past and have always thought of them as a leader in the hairspray industry. I was so excited that they decided to come out with the micro mist line as I actually used to use their chubby green can of hairspray religiously for YEARS up until a couple years ago when I started travelling more and opted for other brands with smaller and sleeker cans.

So happy that they decided to switch it up and introduce a skinny and ergonomically advantageous can! Aside from being obviously smaller, the micro mist line also contains 50% less gas than the regular cans for a superfine ‘micro mist’ spray.

This product was so easy to use especially because I have naturally wavy hair. I like to let my hair dry naturally and then throw some product in to help enhance my natural beach waves and curls. I followed the directions on the can; shake, spray, repeat, and voila! For me it was more of a shake, squeeze, and scrunch.

but same idea and same result! The smell is so nice and light and it’s not overpowering or chemically in the slightest. It doesn’t leave a huge fog of hairspray in the room after either. My hair did not feel crunchy or greasy and there was no obvious residue.

It definitely helped enhance my natural wave where it looked and felt natural and had tons of movement. The hold lasted all day and even after sleeping on it, it still looked awesome the next day too! It also combatted my frizz, which I was not expecting, but it was definitely a nice bonus! I have been using this product every single day since receiving it and this is definitely going to be introduced into my regular hair care lineup.

The product brands itself as a level 1 hold and it holds true to it’s claim. At $5-$6 this product is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to enhance a natural wave or curl or is simply looking for a hairspray to naturally hold and lock in their style.

This is NOT for someone who wants an intense hold or is rockin’ a complicated style. But for those who are sporting natural hair or ponytails, top knots and braids. you will love this!.

I’ve used Tresemme hair products for years now including their line of original hair sprays, I always loved them however they were the worst for trying to travel (unless you got travel size) or just generally taking up way to much counter space, however the micro mist I adore the size of it, it’s more compact but still the same great product and the packaging is just the cutest, I love purple/pink detail.

I was sent the level 2, smooth which was fantastic as I want my hair to be held in place, but the texture to still be smooth and invisible, and it did just that!. It held up great for around 3 hours which is a lot longer than most hair sprays do for me, I have hair that is VERY long and VERY heavy so it usually is to heavy and I lose any amount of effort put into it other than when straightened, but I was quiet impressed.

I really like the micro mist, another issue with regular hair sprays is that it disburses to much product at once, and way to forceful no matter how far away I held my hand, so for someone with short arms it’s awesome because it’s a great amount put out without over doing it.

I really loved that my hair kept it’s regular texture and didn’t get hard, crunchy or sticky. the packaging again is super cute, super sleek and appealing to the eye. I think the price is perfect, and would happily repurchase and recommend to anyone who uses hair spray.

I’m rating it a 4. 5, I love it and the improvements however docking 5 points simply because the scent is still wildly over powering. But I love it non the less. Thank you Chick Advisor & Tresemme for giving me this opportunity.

I received the TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist Hair Spray for free from TRESemmé. I use TRESemmé heat protectant spray as well as their flawless curls mousse so I was very excited to try out this new product.

I used it on the daily to help keep my baby hairs maintained, as well as using it when I would curl my hair to keep my curls long lasting! I received level 2 hold which did its job but I may use a stronger hold as the baby hairs didn’t stay down all day.

When used to hold my curls in place it did a wonderful job! The smell of this product is pleasant, I got compliments on my hair smelling “clean”. TRESemmé always has yummy fresh smelling products. Although, I didn’t notice any long-lasting scent which is good for me because I like my perfume to be my focal smell.

The texture of this product is very light, it doesn’t leave a crunchy feeling in your hair like some other hair sprays, nor does it leave it looking too shiny or greasy. I’m not sure of the price of this product since I received it for free but the canister has lasted a long time… I have a ton of hair so I used a lot of product especially since I got it in the mail to make sure I could do an honest review.

A week of daily use it still has a ton of product left which leads me to believe it will be well worth it! When I straighten or curl my hair and use this product I have been receiving compliments in which I tell people they must try the product! I would recommend to any friend or family member searching for a hair spray that will help their style last and leave their hair smelling good without the crunch! I would recommend Beyond the Zone Frozen Stiff ultimate hair spray because it is not heavy and it holds your hair exactly in place. It does not require a lot of the product so it is very economical. It has a light citrus fragrance which is unusually nice for a hair product.

It is not hard to wash out and does not leave residue. I absolutely love it !.

I love buying this product! My whole family uses this hairspray. It doesn’t leave a white residue. I have been using this hairspray for years now. I have 0 complaints.

Brilliant hold, great scent, no flaking! I loved it!!! The scent is fruity but very light and doesn’t linger in your hair long; though does in the atmosphere. But it’s nice and fresh, just make sure the area is ventilated as a lot sprays with a tap on the nozzle.

I tried it when my hair was curly and straight and it worked well to hold all styles. What I loved most about this is that it didn’t flake or make my hair feel sticky the next day. The cast was firm enough to hold up for the duration I wanted for the hairstyle, but softened by the next day and definitely once in a steamy shower.

I am using it during winter months, it would be interesting to see how it held up in the summer. This is targeted at colour treated hair, tbh I didn’t see any difference in making the colour pop or increasing the longevity in my hair.

I would definitely purchase this in future and it’s a huge can!.

Omg let’s just say this hairspray is the bombest I’ve ever used before. It doesn’t leave a bit of a white cast residue or make your hair flaky at all. It holds your hair in place all day long and it doesn’t make it super stiff hard feeling either.

It smells really nice not to overwhelming. You don’t need to spray a lot to keep your hair the nice style you want to keep all through out your day. It gives your hair a really nice beautiful vibrant shine.

It’s very fast drying and it’s still easy to brush your hair after using it. This is a very high end great quality hairspray that everyone needs to tryout because I guarantee that you will never want to use any other kind again once you get your hands on this one!! I would most definitely purchase this again and I highly highly highly recommend it to everyone with out a doubt.

First off, the slight scent this spray has always makes me feel like I just left the salon, which is always a nice feeling! It’s not strong, but enough to notice upon first application. This is a great medium hold hairspray that doesn’t weigh down your hair dries down surprisingly quick! If you’re slicking back your hair for a pony or bun, this does leave a shine on your hair, fyi, as opposed to being matte.

I was hoping to super love this hairspray all the way around, and while I do really like the hold it gives my hair, on the next day after use, the areas where I applied spray for a slicked back pony have a white-ish residue left on them and sometimes even look a bit flaky.

Not a great look when I’m not due to wash my hair for a few days lol. So, the only reason why it’s not a full 5 stars is because of this. Otherwise, it’s a great medium hold hairspray with a really light, lovely scent!.

I was given this product by #Influenster and #Sebastian for my fair and honest review. I am 56 and have thin, fine hair. My hair is shoulder length and thinning due to RA medications. My hair has just enough wave to it to be annoying, lol.

Not enough to blow and leave natural, so I typically use a flat iron to straighten the waves. Generally, within a couple of hours the few waves that I have come back and my hair looks like I didn’t even bother to style it.

With Sebastian Shaper Medium Hold I was able to actually get a bit of height with my hair and the gold was really great. I used a flat iron and styled it and several hours later it continued to hold.

My hair was not stiff and I do tend to touch my hair often, so this hairspray has excellent endurance. I also am in love with the light scent that it has. Does not smell at all like typical hair spray.

I will definitely be buying this product again. The pictures don’t do it justice, but I am telling you that from someone who is a bit older with thinning hair, it was really awesome!.

I received this product free from Influenster & Sebastian Professionals to review, & I am really glad I didn’t pay for it. I do not recommend this product to anyone who cares about the feel / look / texture of their hair, breathing in horrible smelling fumes, or using dangerous ingredients.

I followed directions, tried it twice – before & after styling, on damp hair and then on dry. I could not tolerate the smell. It immediately made my nauseas & caused a headache. I left it on for about 30 minutes, to see if the odor would dissipate.

It barely did. I had to rewash my hair to get rid of the stink. Even if this Sebastian hairspray was unscented, I would not use it because it made my hair sticky, dull, & straw-like. The ingredients list reads like the definition of Dirty Beauty.

I will continue to use only Wen & Beekman1802 hair styling products.

Typically within a couple of hours it looks as if I didn’t style it at all and it is flat to my head. With Sebastian Medium Hold hairspray I was able to achieve some height to the top of my hair instead of it laying flat on my head.

And several hours later it still had the height and looked styled. My hair was not stiff like some hair sprays make your hair feel. I loved the light scent as well. Will definitely be purchasing this product in the future.

I used to love this hairspray. I knew that a lot of their other products were not receiving good reviews when they changed the formula, but I was hopeful with this one because it WAS the best hairspray for my hair.

Unfortunately, the new scent bothers me. I preferred their old scent. I used this product once and have to return it. Not sure what I’m going to get now.

I have naturally curly, thick, prone to frizz, very porous hair. I have used several volumizing/curl mousses and this one is my favorite. It does not dry my hair! It defines curls without weighing them down! It also has an added feature of locking curls in place.

Often when I wake up my curls are still intact with very little needing to be done to redefine them. I use this on damp hair after spraying with a light leave in conditioner and Ouidad whipped curls conditioning primer.

Awesome product for 4c hair. If you have a looser curl pattern than 4c it probably will not work for you. As for 4c, I put a generous amount on my hair from root to tip and then, to ensure hold, I place a teaspoon of super firm gel on top.

My hair is shiny, well defined. Because it’s not overloaded with gel I can spike it up. Great product very moisturizing too.

I have several different bottles of hairspray with the same issue; I love Aveda. I love all of their products. I love the conditioner, but the pump design is ridiculous. Not only do I have to wash off the spout every time I want to use it, it squirts out everywhere.

I understand the problem with aerosol and global warming, but this is ridiculous. Find a better way. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but it’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve had this for so long and literally never use it only because it squirts all over my face and all over my floor and makes everything sticky.

I think maybe one drop actually hits my hair.

I have used this for years and when it wasn’t available a couple of months ago, I thought it had been discontinued. What a relief when I saw it for sale recently. This is a very light hair spray which isn’t sticky and smells nice too.

I don’t like aerosols, they cause too much mist which goes all over the place and make me sneeze. This spray is much more gentle , you don’t need as much , so lasts a long time. Keep making it Aveda !.

I normally love Aveda products, but this hair spray is heavily perfumed. Aveda products usually have a pleasant scent, but this particular scent is a headache inducing, offensive perfume (sorry, Aveda!).

The hold was perfect and if Aveda modified the scent or made it without a scent, I’d be a fan. Fortunately, Nordstrom has a great return policy, so I returned the item.

I have Cutaneous Lupus, and this is the first hair spray I have found that does not enflame and cause a flare- up on my scalp! Believe me, this is a Huge Win! I have been searching for about 5 years and tried SOoooooo many that did not work.

Adding to that, I am losing my hair and have extremely fine, thinning hair; I have to back comb the roots and spray them just to get a little lift/body. This product works great with a soft, touchable, non- sticky, natural look while still “ holding”.

I am Grateful and Thankful to finally find something that works for me. Hopefully, it will continue to work without causing irritation to my skin. The can is so small, I have used very little. There is only enough for about 4-6 “brief spray” uses.

It’s pretty expensive for the amount and I wish for a larger size. if it continues to work for me, I have to say; I would continue to pay the price!.

I purchased this because I had run out of Trois Chic (which has been out of stock for months). The product itself is quite nice. Great hold without stickiness or stiffness. Most impressive (for me) is there’s also very little scent.

I have tried dozens of other hairspray brands and have had to discard them due to the overwhelming scents. I’m allergic to many of them (as is my coworker). It’s been wonderful being able to use hairspray without triggering an asthma attack or hives.

Aussie is a wonderful haircare brand and I love their 3 minute moisture masks so I had high hopes for this Instant Freeze Hairspray. First, the bottle is large and will last a long time. The nozzle seems to be a sturdy and like it will not get clogged.

The scent is light and fantastic, it is the signature Aussie scent. I use a small amount of the hairspray before curling my hair and then a good amount afterward. I always brush through my curls after they have cooled down.

Some hairsprays will add frizz to hair or make hair crunchy but this just held my curl while still making my hair brushable.

My hair savior. I’ve used this forever. I use this as part of my hair routine every time I wash my hair when I wear my very curly 3b hair curly. I get out knots with the original it’s a 10 spray. I then use IGK Rich Kid hair gel and spray my wet hair with the Aussie Mega.

I usually wrap my hair in a towel to let it air dry. If I want a faster dry, I have a diffuser on my hair dryer. The Aussie Mega smells great, like grapes. It can be sticky at the time im spraying on my wet hair if I use a lot, but it never leaves residue in my hair and washes clean.

I use a non sulfate shampoo bar most days, and once a week or so as needed, I use a clarifying shampoo. I have to use a non-pump hair spray like this with the lightest hold, and this has always been the best (and cheapest) option.

When my hair dries, it isn’t sticky or crunchy, I just have soft bouncy ringlets thanks to the Mega. If I want some extra softness and shine, I use a hair oil like the gisou honey oil.

We bought this product for my cousins wedding. My wife did her hair and it looked amazing. It held up all night. I tried to help my wife brush out the tangles when we got home. From 11:20pm to 1:15am I brushed which made it better than worse, scrubbed tried to remove the product, used shampoo, and even dawn dish soap.

Nothing was getting it out and all brushing did was make it worse. The product made her hair crunchy which is why we were trying to get it out. We are now at a salon as they attempt to get this out of her hair without having to cut any off.

0/10 would not recommend this product. Will be reaching out to customer support Monday. Our hair stylist even said this isn’t how it should be.

I have had such a difficult time finding a hairspray that works well for my hair, and I’m overjoyed to have finally found it in this one. I’ve never had success with flexible hold hairsprays before- they seemed to just do absolutely nothing.

A strong hold hairspray to me is more for formal styles or updos. FINALLY I found this medium hold by Moroccanoil and it lands perfectly in the middle. It plays very nicely with the other tools and products I use on my hair and keeps my curls in place without any crunch.

The best part is it can be layered, so you can use a very light layer for a small amount of hold, or spray on a couple more to build it up. LOVE, will repurchase again and again.

Love the smell of this hairspray. It has the signature Moroccan Oil scent. I would say it has a light to medium hold. I have fine hair that’s mainly straight, but with some frizz. The hair spray helped to keep the top wispy pieces in place without weighing it down, but those unruly side edges where the hair recedes needed a stronger hold.

I love Aussie hair products, I’ve used them for years and loved everything I have ever tried. This is a travel size Mega Hair Spray with 24hr hold is a level 1out of 4 for flexible hold. Shake well before using for best results.

When I used this one it doesn’t leave my hair crunchy or flaky afterwards. You style your hair as desired, then to finish you spray the product 8-10inches away onto dry hair to help lock in your flexible look all day long.

And it smells really nice compared to other aerosol hairspray‘s. .

I typically don’t purchase from this brand, as I have not had great results from any of their products. Let me tell you though, this hairspray beats high end in my opinion. the nozzle is nice and releases a fine even mist.

The bottle is HUGE, it lasts forever, although I’m on my third or fourth [email protected] I have been using this for years at this point. It has a nice hold without being sticky and tacky. It is pliable and provides a nice texture when used as a texture spray.

It is not shiny or greasy. It’s just the right amount of hold, the right polished look(natural), and the smell is clean and not cheap smelling (which doesn’t matter to me, as I usually spray perfume or hair fragrance in anyway).

Was pleasantly surprised by this product. Was in need of a hairspray that didn’t leave my hair feeling sticky, overly dry, or flat and clumpy like other super strong-hold ones tend to. Curled my hair today for a wedding, lasted ALL day in this Fl.

I used this for years and absolutely loved it, but stopped for a about 3 years because I couldn’t afford to buy a $30 hairspray every time I needed one (plus, devacurl was making people bald). It used to be super soft, shiny, weightless; unlike any hairspray I’ve ever had, and it didn’t smell like chemicals.

It was like a more natural lavender smell and it genuinely didn’t make your hair feel hard but you’re hair stayed in place. But they must’ve changed their formula bc now it just feels like I’m buying “big sexy hair” brand from the drug store.

It smells bad and feels bad. Just find something else, I don’t recommend anymore.

I had never used Deva Curl before. So I wasn’t sure how it would leave my curls. But I am so glad I had the opportunity to try it. It’s been very light and airy on my hair. Not weighing it down like some hairsprays can.

It holds up really well in humid weather. It does a great job at keeping my frizz and fly aways under control. I have been pleasantly surprised by how bouncy soft my curls look. And did I mention how awesome it smells too.

It has this wonderful clean scent to it. I love the end result I get from it. And will continue to use it.

I love, love all DevaCurl products! They are awesome. I have medium length wavy fine hair. My hair can go to the curly side when it’s well moisturized. No other shampoo works as well on my wavy hair like DevaCurl products.

I can spray the refresher on my hair when it’s straight and it instantly starts developing nice waves and curls.

This product was not a tester. I purchased this product without question from my personal hair dresser knowing she knew my preferences on what type of hold, texture, movement and scent I prefer when it come to hair spray.

Although Kenra is my favorite line, I’m always open to try different product lines including inexpensive brands given the opportunity to do so. I’m a believer that just because a product or item cost more than another doesn’t make it any better.

I’ve been using this hairspray for years, and I love it. Nothing holds like this spray does. It smells good, works like a dream. If you want your hair to not move, but look like it’s soft and beautiful, then this is the hairspray for you!!! It’s not gummy, it dries beautifully, you can still style it, and then use more of this spray in case it’s raining or windy, and people will say, how does your hair still look so beautiful?? And you’ll smile and think to yourself, it’s bedhead from beauty brands! It has kept my style for over 12 hours while working at a hospital.

I have to be honest, I love all of bed head products. They have such fun packaging and they all smell soooo good! On top of that, they also work great too. This hair spray is one of my favorites. It does an awesome job at holding your style in place.

If you are going out w/ friends and going dancing, then you definitely need this. Or if you just need a little mist for a more natural look, just hold this further back a light spray will do. It’s universal is an overall great product.

I have fine hair and when I assisted at Aveda salons near downtown Austin, we used this every day. We used it as a finishing spray on 85 percent of clients. It has a light yet buildable hold. The smell is awesome.

Just the aroma reminds me of happy days in the salons, which I miss. It is expensive. I miss my discount wholeheartedly. However, if I have a guaranteed gig at a time roller derby event, concert, wedding, Quinceanera, photo shoot, or anything for a client that needs a nice hold for 3-4 hours, I know I can accomplish buildable hold with this item (and workable flexibility).

I prefer to use this on dry hair but I know talented stylists that use it on damp hair before a blow out, for example (or if creating a “wet” look). People with heavier, thicker hair may need a different form of this or something with more staying strength (which is the only downside).

I know not everyone is wild about aerosol cans, too, but this helps spread this product the most evenly throughout a style or updo as possible. This works great on mostly anyone overall because it performs.

Before ordering this product I read reviews, many of which commented on the unpleasant odor of this hair spray. Have used Aveda for 20+ years and could not quite believe that the odor could be that bad.

Well, it is that bad and the odor clings to the hair until you shampoo to get rid of it. The odor transferred to my pillow and my hairbrush which was unacceptable. The spray does hold nicely but that does not compensate for the really, really strong and unpleasant odor.

This is the best product that Aveda makes, and the best styling/hold product on the market. I have used this all over the world and it never fails me. My home climate is a hot, humid, heavy climate that is very unkind to all hair types.

I use this as a styling product when I am curling my stick straight asian hair, just a light all over spray and brush it through. When I finish styling, I give it another light all over spray to set it.

If I know I’m going to be outside in the humidity for a long time, I will lightly spritz each section and brush it through before using my hot tool to add extra super staying power. If I need to refresh my hairstyle, a quick spritz of this revives it.

It adds body, has incredibly flexible hold, never sticky, and acts as a perfume for the hair. The fact that its environmentally friendly just adds to its pluses. Comes in a large and travel size and one can lasts a long time, so its a phenomenal value.

I can style my hair and ride it out for an easy 3-4 days (I put my hair in a bun at night, shake it out in the morning for amazing volume). People stop me frequently to compliment my hair, but always remark on how good my hair smells.

One negative: the nozzle sometimes gets stopped up and you have to a. rinse it under hot water b. remove the sticky dried up spray clogging the nozzle, or c. take it back to the salon and they will exchange it for a new bottle (so this becomes a positive experience!).

While it’s definitely pricey for a hairspray, I love this product and keep repurchasing! I have thick, long, wavy/curly hair, and this gives the hold I need without ever being too crunchy or stiff.

It smells great on top of it, are used to use big sexy but I have decided to stick with Kenra based on my experience over the last several years. If you’re not sure if you love it, just buy a smaller bottle or try out the tester at the store! It lasts a good while to on top of it.

I hardly ever have to restock even though I style weekly. .

I have been looking for 5 years now for a replacement for my HG hairspray Redken Pure Force 16 since they discontinued it. I had high hopes for this one because it was Non-Aerosol which I prefer and was suppose to hold well.

I will say the hold was ok. But I had 2 problems with it this hairspray. First, the smell. Super Strong and smell lasted all day. Not chemical smelled almost herbal. And second it went on very wet and took a long time to dry down.

So for a person like me with short, fine hair it just weighed my hair down. In addition, when I purchase it in the store I noticed that on one of the bottles the pump was broken. And on the other the pump would not go down.

So I’m thinking there may be a problem with the pump mechanism as well on this hairspray. But for me this was a no go so I have to Return it.

My hair is really curly but also very fine. So it is often difficult to find products that do what I need without weighing down my hair. This is it! I think I may have found my holy grail hairspray. It leaves my hair smelling amazing, doesn’t weigh it down and my hair looks shiny and is not crunchy at all.

My hair is soft to the touch after using this and my hair stays in place. This hair spray is next level. The price is a little high but for the quality of the product and the high class packaging I am willing to gladly pay the price, I think it is worth it.

I was a little nervous to try Oribe Superfine Hairspray as I have been a ‘Shaper’ user for many years. I decided to give it a try after reading posiitve reviews. Recently (with Shaper) I’ve found that body/curls from my irons was not holding well anymore and needed a new go to hairspray.

We ‘hair girls’ 💁🏼‍♀️ know how difficult it is to find a spray that holds the style but that you can comb through as needed. This is my second time using the Oribe and I do like it. The first day I used i had waves/curls from an iron and I did find it to be a better hold then Shaper.

Today I didn’t use any heat beyond my dryer and just needed a few quick sprays to give a little texture and hold. Upon first spray it does firm up where its not easy to comb, but you can brush through if needed.

I’m still learning what’s best in terms of how much spray for a flexible hold. Its not the holy grail of sprays I was hoping for, and I probably won’t use if daily when I am wearing straight, but will use when I add curl.

I have to use hairspray cuz I have fine n needs volume. Love the fragrance of this hairspray! Unlike others that feels like a heavy net, this will give you a soft glossy hold especially for dry frizz ends.

The best part is the nozzle spray won’t clogged up after uses! The hold is good not super strong but it gives a soft natural look.

Dude, this sprays lit! Especially now that they added 50% more to the can for the same price, it’s was real easy to go thru a can in a couple weeks before they increased the size. Great smell too! I’m a guy that uses this spray everyday and have been for years.

White-boy jew-fro that I totally tame and style like a beast – I wouldn’t be the stud I am if it weren’t for this spray being one of my go-to tricks for getting that firm hold on my fresh doo daily. Plus it doesn’t create that tacky, wet/oily look or result in a greasy finish that can flatten your hair.

This spray goes on clean, quick, and dries almost instantly. You can easily mold, shape, scrunch, and style while applying the spray, instantly freezing the go-to “flavor of the week” look in place. AND this stuff does works really well combined with other hair products too – the fructis clean firm hold gel is awesome – for a slicker look or spiked style) that when you wanna use this spray as a finisher or as a polisher.

But by itself it can certainly hold its own – I just hit it in the morning, spritzz and done! Good looks. Firm hold. All day. More you apply, the stronger /firmer the hold. Best part, it doesn’t even look like you have product in your hair – only way someone could tell is if they touch it – and ya best not touch the fro bro!.

I’ve recent tried this hairspray and I had my doubts as I’m not usually a huge fan of this brand’s styling products, but I was very impressed with the results! I have very thick, wavy, frizzy prone hair and hairspray is NECESSITY for me even if I’m just rocking a ponytail because I have more fly-away than a hive of swarming bees and if my hairspray doesn’t do it’s job I look like Pennywise.

With this hairspray, I brushed my hair, sprayed the sides where I’m prone to fly-aways, and then brushed my hair into a ponytail. I’m excited to report that from 5am-7pm my hair was fly-away free without feeling like I had a ballistic helmet on my head.

My hair was still pretty soft. Now, the ultimate test was curls. could this stuff hold my curls in place? Unless I use about half a can, nothing holds my curls in place. My usual curling routine is to spray a section of hair, roll it into a hot roller, then spray again, I leave the hot rollers in my hair for at least an hour and spray again before taking them out.

And just for good measure, I spritz again after I’ve taken them all out. Do you know what that gives me? Gorgeous curls that a tsunami couldn’t move. They’re pretty, but no one really wants hair that doesn’t move.

Plus- I know you can all imagine how long it takes me to brush it out and wash it out. Anyways, I decided I’d really test the hold ability of this stuff. So, all I did was roll my hair up in hot rollers (no pre-roll spritz), sprayed when they were set in the rollers and then once again when I took them out.

To my extreme surprise and delight, my curls could move AND they held ALL day. In short, this is my new go-to hairspray. If you have thick hair, this is definitely a product you want to buy.
