20 Best Hairspray For Thick Hair (2023 Updated)

I was given this product by #Influenster and #Sebastian for my fair and honest review. I am 56 and have thin, fine hair. My hair is shoulder length and thinning due to RA medications. My hair has just enough wave to it to be annoying, lol.

Not enough to blow and leave natural, so I typically use a flat iron to straighten the waves. Generally, within a couple of hours the few waves that I have come back and my hair looks like I didn’t even bother to style it.

With Sebastian Shaper Medium Hold I was able to actually get a bit of height with my hair and the gold was really great. I used a flat iron and styled it and several hours later it continued to hold.

My hair was not stiff and I do tend to touch my hair often, so this hairspray has excellent endurance. I also am in love with the light scent that it has. Does not smell at all like typical hair spray.

I will definitely be buying this product again. The pictures don’t do it justice, but I am telling you that from someone who is a bit older with thinning hair, it was really awesome!.

I received this product free from Influenster & Sebastian Professionals to review, & I am really glad I didn’t pay for it. I do not recommend this product to anyone who cares about the feel / look / texture of their hair, breathing in horrible smelling fumes, or using dangerous ingredients.

I followed directions, tried it twice – before & after styling, on damp hair and then on dry. I could not tolerate the smell. It immediately made my nauseas & caused a headache. I left it on for about 30 minutes, to see if the odor would dissipate.

It barely did. I had to rewash my hair to get rid of the stink. Even if this Sebastian hairspray was unscented, I would not use it because it made my hair sticky, dull, & straw-like. The ingredients list reads like the definition of Dirty Beauty.

I will continue to use only Wen & Beekman1802 hair styling products.

Typically within a couple of hours it looks as if I didn’t style it at all and it is flat to my head. With Sebastian Medium Hold hairspray I was able to achieve some height to the top of my hair instead of it laying flat on my head.

And several hours later it still had the height and looked styled. My hair was not stiff like some hair sprays make your hair feel. I loved the light scent as well. Will definitely be purchasing this product in the future.

I’m so glad to have found TheOnlineDrugstore! Aqua Net Extra Super Hold Professional Hairspray seems to have become an extinct item on most websites and in most stores. Not only was I able to purchase it through TheOnlineDrugstore, but it was reasonable enough to stock up! Delivery was very reasonable, as well.

I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw Aqua Net offering their product in these round shouldered bottles. This is traditionally what the packaging was until the changed to a straight can with the lid same size as can.

The sprayers on the straight cans would spit and spatter vs the round shouldered cans that had a sprayer that produced a fine, even mist. And in addition, Aqua Net is nearly the least expensive hairspray on the market.

All is right in my world now. The best hairspray at the lowest price!! Yayyyy!.

This is THE BEST hairspray ever!! It is perfect for my fine, thin hair because it helps add both hold and style to my hair without weighing it down or feeling sticky and heavy. I like to use it to add some waviness and body to my straight hair.

It adds a nice finishing touch to my hair after letting it air dry too. I seriously hope this product never goes away because it is perfect and I plan on using it for life!.

I love this product. I have gone through at least 10 brands over the last 10 years looking for something that would leave my hair soft and enable me to restyle it the next day without it feeling like there was a lot of build up.

My hair still feels very clean. I use Ouidad styling products so this is a finishing spray – a final spritz to make sure the curls I worked so hard to put right where I wanted them will still be there 8 hours later.

My hair stays soft to the touch all day.

My favorite hair spray. I have curly (3b-3c) hair and use this before I begin diffusing to help set my hair! Just learned it put it on BEFORE diffusing and it has made a wonderful difference in lasting hair! Also, no build up which is great and softens up so by the end of the day, there’s no reminiscent of it.

Great for everyday use especially after refreshing curls.

Do not buy this product. And do not buy it from Ulta. I bought two cans of this. When I could get the spray nozzle to work, it made my hair both frizzy and sticky. But every time I tried to used the product the spray nozzle would jam.

I tried to return it to Ulta and they wouldn’t accept the return. I offered to do an exchange and they wouldn’t permit it even though they could view the purchase on my member card. They offered me $2.

I went home and threw it away. But thinking about it, that is all the spray is worth!.

I bought this one for my partner – he decided to grow his hair out and needed to comb them back until he can actually put them in a bun. He’s on his 3rd one right now – he absolutely loves it. It offers great hold and never gives his hair this hairspray chunky look or the feel that you could snap the hair off, and he’s using a lot of it (despite my repeated pleas not to use half a can every day).

He loves the design as well – let’s face it, it’s stunning. The one thing I would change is the scent – it’s very potent, and makes me sneeze if he doesn’t close the bathroom door. Then again, my nose is very fragile and a whole other story.

Aerosol varnish outer space has a medium hold. dry application, glossy finish. The styling remains mobile, the hair is soft, the varnish is easy to comb out. Great for light daily styling and home use.

I have used this product for years. I normally stock up. I just ran out and had to buy more. I stopped at the store and grabbed 3 bottles – the last they had. I shouldn’t have. I didn’t notice anything different about them at the store.

When I used it today, I realized that its totally different. Even the bottles are slightly darker – almost tinted. But the smell is sooo strong. I loved the old scent because it smelled clean and fresh and wasn’t overpowering.

Today I had to put my bathroom exhaust on just to clear away the new scent. I hope that the actual formula didn’t change also. I’ll find out after today I guess.

Have used this hairspray for MANY years. Loved this product because it was light and pretty much unscented. Was running low so picked up a bottle. Did notice different bottling. The cap was smaller. The spray itself appeared thicker.

Color used to be clear but now has a slightly dark hue. Should have put it back on the shelf!!! It is now scented. Too heavy for me. Didn’t bother trying it on my hair because I would have had to rewash it due to the scent.

Very disappointed with this change. Seeing similar reviews posted, this change was a mistake.

I’ve used Dove products and the hairspray for over 20 years and love that they can be used safely on my sensitive skin. Like many of the other reviewers, I feel that the new scent on this hairspray is overpowering and nauseating.

My husband had to open the windows in our car when I used it because it was giving him (and me) a headache. He keeps complaining about how bad it smells and I totally agree. I’m so disappointed in this product that I used to love and wear all the time.

I will no longer use this product and am looking for alternatives. I typically love Dove products and am frustrated that I have to find an alternative. I hope you continue to keep the soap and deodorant as is because these are the only products I’ve found that I can use.

I do not use sprays that contain a aerosols because of their environmental damage so this one is a pump-type and ecologically sound. I like that it is unscented so it doesn’t clash with my cologne. It definitely is extra-hods.

Arrived quickly and in pretty good shape. One package leaked a little, but I cleaned and dried the bottles off. In the past, I have always ordered it by the gallon and filled up my spray bottle, but this way will be easier on me as Im getting up in years! In my opinion, Final Net Hairspray is a good product. I have used is for a very long time. Other hairsprays do not do the job. Final Net holds extremely well, and washes out well too. Other products seem to leave a residue on my hair and get gummy, I will continue to buy Final Net Hairspray as long as I can find it.

I was given this hair spray as a gift from the brand. I really like the hairspray and would definitely recommend to anybody who is looking for a flexible strong hold. Not because it was given to me, but because that’s my honest opinion.

I like that it doesn’t get crunchy or flaky and I can brush my hair out without it ripping out my hair. It doesn’t leave crazy residue and it’s not sticky at all. It is definitely everything that It claims to be! I normally put gel In my hair when it’s wet and then as it dries I will spray with hairspray.

Sadly, Pantene has broken what used to be a good product in their efforts to “improve” it. The new aerosol spray cap does NOT spray a fine mist but rather the hair spray comes out in forceful spitting blobs.

I have used your Pantene hair spray forever. This new 7oz. Spray is NOT hairspray. It is sticky Gook that only comes out in squirts; not like a hairspray should. I just bought 2 cans because I can’t find the old spray anywhere.

They are in the trash, and I will not be buying any more of your products until you go back to the original, or figure out how to have the so-called hairspray nozzle changed!.

I’ve tried all hold strengths and the Extreme Hold is my favorite. Even though it really is an extreme hold my hair doesn’t get crunchy, dry or stiff to where it doesn’t move. A fast spray all around my head helps keep my curls and volume stay all day.

I purchased Suave Extreme Hold Hairspray at my local Walmart for about $2. 50, the price is what I love the most about it. You can’t tell from the photo, but this hairspray is a level 10. Which is just the perfect level of coverage for what I needed.

This Hairspray does leave a sticky residue and massive buildup if used in large quantities. If you need extreme hold for an updo, this is the hairspray to go to. For all weather types I choose this Hairspray, because I know it will last all day and all night without needing to “touch up”.

The smell is a bit overwhelming, but like I said it is according to how much you use. I find that you don’t have to spray a lot to get great results, as with other products, it seems as if you have to use quite a bit to achieve the same results you get with this particular Hairspray.

Suave products has been my go-to for quite some time and I really like this Hairspray. If you are on a budget and are looking for salon quality hair spray this is a great option for anyone’s wallet.
