I got the kids version because I thought they would be good for holding my 2 braids and also because I like rainbows. They work well and look cute. However. The place where the coils are joined is rather sloppy.

It’s sort of rough which I think I’d find annoying when I wear it on my wrist. Having a rough bit could be uncomfortable if it ends up scratching me. Also, there are sort of trails of plastic strands from that part, probably because it was melted together to stay put.

It was a issue with all 5 of the hair ties I got. I had to use a nail clipper to clip off the extra bits and then I used a nail file to try to smooth it down a little. It worked to some extent but the fact that I had to go out of my way to do so was disappointing.

I fixed up the first two then decided to take a picture of the remaining ones. I used a macro lens so my fingers look distorted but I was able to capture the issue.

I had purchased these for my niece but I loved the colors so much that now I have to buy another set for her. I’m always a fan of Invisibobble. I’ve had some hair ties for years and they still work perfectly.

This pack has beautiful colors for the spring. Highly recommend for adults and kids.

I have extremely thick hair and it is really hard for me to find really good hair ties that last. I constantly snap the majority of hair ties I use and I was looking for good, quality hair ties that are affordable to allow me to buy a ton of in the event they do snap.

I found older Scunci hair ties that I had back in HS (I graduated over 11 years ago) and used them since they were still in good condition. I was shocked that they held my hair so well that even a high ponytail didn’t drop the entire day I had them on.

I decided to purchase more and I was so happy to see that Bed Bath & Beyond had them in stock. I’m not sure what exactly happened, but these new Scunci ties are not the same as the older version. The rubber grip on the new ones literally peel off in its entirety after only 1 use.

Having black hair, it is not a pretty sight to see a clear rubber string hanging out of your hair. Once that rubber grip falls out, expect any type of ponytail to drop. At that point, you might be better off purchasing the regular, unbranded hair ties at your local dollar store.

I purchased 7 packs of these so I know I did not receive a bad batch. The only plus sides were that these hair ties did not snap, were still as durable as the older version, and I was able to purchase these online without having to leave my house during the Covid-19 lockdown in NYC.

If I had purchased these without a coupon, I would say these would not be worth it.

Okay, so I really, really liked the Scunci Strong Hair Bands my boyfriend got for me. He got me a bright multicolored pack and a black pack of 18 hair ties each. They hold up really well with thick hair actually and only one out of my 36 hair ties has snapped on me, hence why I’m giving a 4 star review because I just don’t feel like it should have snapped being brand new.

But I would definitely recommend this brand of hair tie as it’s generally really strong and durable and they don’t pull hair out when you remove them either. All in all I find Scunci brand to be a very reliable hair tie brand and with so many colors and thicknesses it’s perfect for any hair type.

I use the original size for myself and loved that there was a smaller kids version. I worry about using smaller hair ties as she might eat them or choke on them. I lobe that these are durable enough if she does get a hold of it and bite it and large enough that she won’t choke.

Elastic hair ties covered in fabric with a small tab sewn over the join. So far, these haven’t snagged or damaged my hair. I have very long (waist length) very thick, very heavy hair and it holds it in place.

Can stretch enough to put it up in a bun with no difficulty. It will lose its shape and go a bit ‘wavy’ if constantly stretched as all my hair bands do but the benefit here is that the outer covering stretches with it and keeps the elastic covered so it doesn’t snag your hair.

I imagine at some point it will be so stretched it won’t work anymore. But all hair bands do that or snap. It’s a good thick, flat band rather than a string shape which I also prefer. I’m quite impressed with it actually.

I’ve got very thick hair and find these work pretty well at the start, but tend to stretch out and – as mentioned by another reviewer – start shedding little bits of the inner rubber. Once they’re stretched out, I find they aren’t particularly secure (even doubled up or paired with a new one).

I’ll probably keep using them/possibly even buy more because honestly I have these same issues with “regular” hair ties too (and do feel like these seem a touch more durable than the standard single band elastic ones); I just wish feel like they’re missing a little something.

Bought these on clearance because I was on my way to dinner and needed to pull my hair up. They are oddly thick, but did keep my hair in a ponytail for the whole evening. I’m leaving them in my car for emergencies.

These are nice and thick. I have very fine hair that breaks with the regular thinner hair ties. These thick hair ties holds my ponytail without breaking my hair. I bought 6 packages of these on sale!

I have fairly thick and extremely long hair and work with kids so I have my hair up often and I haven’t stopped using these since I got them. With normal pony tails I need 2 and need the wrap them each 3 times around but with these I need one wrapped around twice.

They are easy to take out and don’t pull which is also super nice! I definitely recommend :).

I bought these as one of the favors for my daughter’s LOL birthday party. They are cute and brightly colored but they are not very stretchy at all. Also, the tie sticks out at an odd angle when you try to put it in hair.

Good concept but doesn’t really work!.

I loved this with the different designs. It was very cute, no cons. I loved that it was cute but also had a purpose for keeping my daughters hair up. I would buy this again, it was pretty affordable and not expensive at all.

There are no better hair ties on planet earth than these, I promise you! I have been on the hunt for the perfect coil hair tie for years. I bought some amazing ones in Europe five years ago, and was never able to find any in the US that were as good.

This is how I evaluate a quality coil hair tie: long lasting, bounces back to shape and size after use, realistic/natural color for hair, and doesn’t break easily. These hair ties fit ALL of those parameters, they are long lasting and return to their shape and size even after hours and hours of use in my hair, they stay tight in the hair without pulling individual hairs at the scalp and causing pain, and they don’t break easily.

I use teleties literally every single day. They’re amazing and cute and I can’t feel normal without at least one in my hair or on my wrist. The lightest shade in this pack goes with practically anything.

I love the light blue it’s probably my favorite color of teleties ever. (I have a lot more in other colors but this has been my favorite set. ) I would totally recommend! As a dancer I hate regular hair ties cause they pull out my hair and they don’t hold it well.

I finally found these in my local WalMart but hadn’t seen them anywhere else before. I tried these because they are thicker than the regular elastics & I love these. They all seem to be the same length, which the elastics aren’t, & they’re easier on my really thin hair.

My advice, if you see Goody products that you love, buy all the store has. LOL! I would love to find more of this particular item.

Love the happy colors; these soft elastics stay bright for many months of daily use(and abuse). My hair is quite thick, so I use these to finish off braid styles where I want a bright final touch. They don’t pull hair, and they last.

I buy these all the time for my daughter who just turned five. I’ve actually been using these since she turned two. They match her outfits perfectly. They don’t snag her thick curly hair.

These are great for my littles’ hair but they come apart and snag on things quite easily. Since there are so many it’s not a big deal, especially since I am only using them for the girls when their hairs is really thin and short.

But for the price, it has been worth it to allow for some cute little girl styles.

I was really hoping these would be better than the standard hair bands I’ve gotten from Scruncci for years. Since they were thinner bands I thought they’d be more comfortable to wear on my wrist when I need to take them out temporarily, and don’t leave an imprint.

GOOD NEWS! They ARE more comfortable. BAD NEWS! They snap at the glue point within three days of use. Not worth it. Frustratingly wasteful. Bring my back those wrist strangling hair bands that actually last.

LOVE LOVE LOVE These! Highly recommended! Originally found them at a local store but they must have stopped carrying them. Luckily I found them on here. I have extremely thick hair med-long length and its hard to find hair ties that will actually “hold” a pony tail or whatever.

I’ve had so many slip out, hair get caught on metal cuppling, loosen up when I don’t want it to or simply fall apart (silacone backed ones 🖓). Ive tried the silacone backed ones for it to eventually peel/fall away from tie twisted ribbed kind with silacone for it not to hold the weight of my hair stretch out way to fast enviably die/break before its time.

I like the fact that these hair ties are strong and do not break easy. I have really thick hair that needs a sturdy hair tie. One of the things that needs improved on is that it still rips my hair when I try to remove them.

Even though they do not have the metal, they still tears my hair. I have a sensitive scalp and it hurts when I try to take these out. You need to improve this part of the hair ties.

I have very thick, curly hair. My ponytails are very hard to hold. After one or two wears, these ties snap right apart. I cannot use them for a ponytail with all my hair in them. Sometimes, the elastic breaks on the first use.

I love these. The colors are cute and they are a great size for little ones. However, my girl will not leave them in her hair. Within minutes she is pulling them out! Bonus: these are soft enough to NOT pull the hair out when she takes them out.

We keep trying as we want to keep her bangs out of her eyes (she takes headbands out immediately too!).

These provide a gentle hold. They do stretch out, but can be used several times. They’re best for thin hair or smaller portions of thick hair, such as holding together the bottom of a braid.
