20 Best Hair Straighteners For Curling (2023 Updated)

I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted.

This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up.

As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet.

One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings.

I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past.

With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.

I bought this item during the Target Black Friday sale. The first iron I received was defective and would automatically turn off as soon as I turned it on. I tried multiple plugs to make sure it was the iron and not the outlet before sending it back.

Target replaced it, although it took a few weeks to receive the new one. I have owned many other brands of irons, most of them considered higher end vs this one. I am impressed with the features this one comes with: electronic temperature control (my GHD does not have this), curved plate edges for curling hair (again my GHD does not have this), additional length of plates accommodating for long hair, and the smoothness of the Titanium plates.

It is packed with features for the price. However, it does not have dual voltage which means I can not travel with it as it won’t convert in other countries to their power type, which is something I general seek out in an iron.

Also, there is something about it that just feels a little flimsy compared to the GHD I am replacing it with, or the Amika I had previously owned, or even the Chi iron I had before that one. I use my iron every day, sometimes multiple times a day for touch ups, and they tend to last me about 2 years (doesn’t matter which brand) before they fizzle out.

I have long wavy hair, that I either straighten or put a curl into depending on how much time I have. I will keep this iron because I only paid $60 for it during the Black Friday sale, but it’s not my favorite of all the irons I have owned and used in the past.

It’s definitely “passable” and worth the $60 price tag however. I’ll be looking to purchase another iron with dual voltage when I am able to start traveling again. This one should get me through until then.

I received a defective hair straightener. Turns on fine, heats up, then if I move the straightener, it also moves the electrical cord of course, then it shuts off immediately. I turn it back on, and try to straighten my hair, again it shuts off immediately.

Manual says that temperature blink until it heats up, which it did, then once a desired temperature is reached, it suppose to be on a few minutes. In my case, I pick up the straightener after it heats up, then it shuts off and cools off quickly!!! Impossible to keep it warm, due to the electrical issue in the cord.

The product was defective. Not happy dealing with re-packing, printing labels, and packaging again. I have a video recording available to proof this issue. I am sure it works, not in my case. Not one star, if possible- there was no choice of 0 star.

Best straightener ever! Price point is so good. ESP considering it comes with a dust bag, hair clips, and a heat resistant glove! I love that you can choose the exact temp you want. I have fine hair that I bleach regularly, so I keep at around 285-300.

It smooths my hair beautifully and makes it so soft! I use a little coconut oil on the ends before straightening and it’s perfect. It heats up super quick and somehow doesn’t make any weird kinks when I use it, even on my bangs! I highly recommend this!.

This straightener is so good! Digital screen lets you see the exact heat setting. The dial to the change the heat setting can be a little hard to get to the exact temp you want, but it gets easier as you use it.

The argan oil-infused plates make your hair skinny and soft. It doesn’t pull on your hair either! Also, the cord is super long which is nice for those places that the plug in isn’t conveniently located by a mirror.

And finally, the rounded edges of the plates make it easy to curl your hair too!.

This hair straightener works so well. I have bleached curly hair and it only takes one-two swipes before it is fully straight. It has a large range of temperatures for you to choose from. It heats up very quickly.

It also does not leave my hair frizzy by the end of my styling.

I can’t speak for the longevity of this yet, but ease of use and quality for price? 5 stars. I have been using this to curl my short hair (hits mid neck), and this gives me the perfect texture I am looking for.

As someone who has had long hair before, I can’t say if this would be successful for that. This heats up quickly, I feel comfortable running this close to my head, and I can actually style my hair straight or wavy or curly.

I bought my previous straighter about 10 years ago, it was this same model just an old version. (Hopefully this one lasts me as long as my old one) It stopped working last week so I bought this one bcuz it’s the same as my old one but an upgrading version of it.

It works amazing! It heats up well, i LOVE the long plates on this one compared to my old one. I also love that it is so much easier to curl my hair with this one! I couldn’t do it with the old one. The design is perfect on this! The sleek and lightweight, so very easy to use.

The temp dial is the only thing that will take some time to get used to but, i love this product. I would definitely recommend this! A bunch of my family/friends have the old version of this from 10 years ago, and i will be telling them to buy this new one! So much better!!.

Looks pretty! The first one I bought died straight out if the box, and Sally’s replaced it right away without question. I haven’t had a chance to use this one yet, but would say I miss the ole version of this flattener.

My very first one was purchased off eBay and the cord was flat with a velcro attached to it. This cord is chunky and round, making it harder to store. If the wire was changed back I’d but that version in a heartbeat.

I love this straightener! The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of five, is the dial used to change the temperature is very vague. Its hard to see exactly what temperature you have it on. More numbers or maybe an LED would have made this 5 out of 5.

I have very thick red hair so not many straightening iron work well on my hair to make it look really straight, and if I went and bought another that shows you how much I did like the performance. Best straightener I have ever owned. This is the second one I’ve bought in 4 years, and not because the last one broke but because I passed it on to someone else who loved it! I use to only buy CHI but after using this, I can never go back.

CHI is overpriced and not durable! They can’t handle daily use. This doesn’t snag and glides through hair. I love the gripping matte texture, the automatic 1 hr shut off, and the swiveling cord. I am white with thick hair that is probably 7/10 in terms of curliness.

Tight but not ringlets. I use this to get straight hair, or beachy curls/waves. It’s always soft and holds style between washes. The cherry on top is that it isn’t overpriced!.

I had the same straightener for a little over 10 years when the cord started shorting. I knew exactly what I wanted when it was time to purchase a new one. I had been watching the Lange videos for a couple of years and never made a purchase yet (I’m a procrastinator) if you are too.

don’t wait! It’s a great product! I ordered 3 things but this straightener was the first thing in my basket. With my old straightener I always had to turn it all the way up above 400. with this one 340 is plenty, I could probably do less tbh.

The only con is that it kind of pulls my hair when straightening, not all of it but 1 or 2 pieces at a time. This could be me doing something wrong though. Going to start brushing my hair more before running the straightener over it.

I have had the same flat iron for 10 years until it finally broke. I researched and was willing to pay decent money for a good one. Reviews looked great and I have the Le Volume Brush Dryer and like it so figured the flat iron would be good too.

I was so excited to use it but quickly found that it does not work well on my hair. It does heat up quickly which is a plus and had a nice long cord it just doesn’t work well on my thick, wavy hair. My daughter tried it as well and her hair is thinner and quite straight.

She didn’t feel that it straightened well either. She had to take it over her hair multiple times to get the desired straightness and even then it wasn’t as good as it could be. Over all not worth money in my book.

There is nothing special about this flat iron, got this on sell and it, unfortunately, still is not worth the price. However, the shipping was amazing and on time, which I love. But, I wish it went more specifically into more heat ranges.

Like 370 to 390 to 400 to 410 and not to just 370 to 450. The burning point of our hair is 420 so 450 simply is impractical. I went as slow as I could and my hair looked blown out and I did not like the way my hair felt, disappointed.

I’ve had the original chi straightener for maybe like 12 years. It was time for a new one so I decided to get what has always worked. They’ve changed the design of how the plate is built into the straightener.

It is now flush with the straightener which means you are constantly grabbing your hair with portions of the straightener that are not the smooth gliding plate causing your hair to be pulled out with almost every stroke.

The original design had the plates elevated above the plastic portion of the straightener so your hair would not get caught. I don’t know if it was because this item was made exclusively for Target, but this product does not live up to the hype I have heard over Chi straighteners. I asked (and received) this item for Christmas.

I only straighten my hair 1-2 times per week. My hair is long, straight, and medium thickness (READ: super manageable), so I only use a flat iron to get out some frizz/fly-aways after letting it air dry.

Occasionally, I used a flat iron to curl my hair, but this one is near impossible. The heated blades do not line up and put at my hair. I have never had this happen with any other flat iron, including the $19.

99 flat iron that I bought at from a discount retailer, and lasted me 8 years. For $100 I expected so much more. The only positive comments I can provide are that it heats up fast and gets really hot.

However, you cannot adjust the temperature, and it is switch operated, so there is no auto-shut off feature. There are so many other flat irons available, don’t waist your hard earned money on this piece of garbage.

It has multiple heat settings that allow you to leave your hair much more soft than other flat irons. It operates on 3 settings: smooth, curl, or both and it also has a great locking mechanism, which is great for the curling feature.

The only reason I could not give this product 5 stars is that it is slightly more difficult to use it to curl your hair. If you are not used to using a straightening iron to curl your hair, then there is a slight learning curve to get used to using the locking feature and rolling the iron to accomplish the curled look you are wanting.

Overall PROS: 3 styling settings the softness of hair after use multiple heat settings 3 in 1 product CONS: difficulty using the curl feature and locking mechanism.

I absolutely love this iron! I’ve been using the chi iron ever since it came out years and years ago and I still actually have my original one! I have also gotten the chi turbo iron and the Chi Air flat iron as well throughout the years and they all still work! I love this ceramic iron it’s my favorite out of all I’ve ever tried! I purchased another one that cost me double the price and I still went back to using the chi iron.

There’s just nothing like it, I used to hate that it was so small I’ve always loved the iron , but I thought it was too small because I wanted to get bigger sections of my hair done at a time but now I can appreciate the small size because it forces you to do your hair and it’s smaller sections which is the only way that it comes out nice.

That’s why I didn’t like the chi turbo iron because it was just too big and for some reason it didn’t come out the same as the others. I have been a long time use of Chi flat irons. It’s all I’ve used and I’ve used one for the last 15+ years. I’ve always used the original chi. Never had any issues. I’ve never once dyed, highlighted or colored my hair.

First the packaging is so cute and I absolutely ADORE the pink color and simple logo on it. I think this was also on me but the ceramique flat iron does not straighten my hair very well and I would describe my hair to be wavy and thick but not course which is why I went with this one instead of the Titanium Flat Iron.

My old flat iron made it impossible from burning my hands to not having the oval shape barrel it just looked terrible.

I have had this straigtner for almost a year now, and I can honestly say, I haven’t picked up my curling iron in that time. this straightens my hair very well as well as curl with the slightest twist of my wrist.

Something I did learn with this tool is 1. Don’t squeeze the plates too hard. This iron is easy to squeeze too tight, and when you do that, it can create creases and gives that skipping feel. Just need them to touch, not press.

2. If you want good curls, use smaller, thinner sections, and again, very little pressure. Doing a half twist on your wrist when you place on your hair will give you a good curl without extra work. 3.

if you have thin hair, use product that helps add texture your hair. this can be anything from a texture spray, dry shampoo (my favorite thing to use, as it also helps prevent oil build up at the root), or even hairspray.

Also don’t forget that heat protectant. 4. Use the lowest setting and work up. if it’s too hot for your hair, you will get creasing. I have thin hair and it’s hard to keep style as it will fall limp quickly.

I found 355 works the best (other tools I used were much hotter). There is a little bit of a learning curve when you first get this to really get the full benefit, however, this thing works amazing and can replace multiple hot tools, which means less clutter and more space.

There’s a decent sized gap between the plates so they won’t even touch your hair, and I have extremely thick hair so that’s how big the gap was. Don’t buy. They also make it so hard to return anything.

The 37 dollar Remington one I have is 10x better.

I bought this for around 40. 00 at a local store and it died the first week I had it hence the skeptical I lost the receipt but I contacted Conair and they were amazing I told them what happened and they told me they would replace it and about a week and half later I received my replacement! I have very long, highlighted, thick, combination hair. My top layer being relatively straight, and bottom layers being wavy and curly with sections that are kinky. Now that that’s out of the way… I used the Original 1” Styler 3 different ways, because some days I’m lazy, and some days I actually have the time to put “pro-effort” into my hairstyle, either by straightening or curling it.

For my thick hair the Classic Styler straightens better than it curls. If I want the curls to last all day and not fall out I have to start curling my hair from its natural state. With that being said, in order for me to get smooth curls that don’t have any creases or kink in the individual hair strands, I have to pass over my hair at least once before I go in for the actual curling motion… which means when I actually go over it that second time the curl it isn’t as curly, and even has some areas that want to fall immediately.

Last thing I did was “lazy” straightened it by not sectioning or isolating any of it at all… So starting with air dried hair in its natural form, I ran the straightener through my hair randomly.

This is where the Classic Styler really shines! It DOES NOT pull on hair or snag at all. Not even a little! I was super impressed by this. The results of this lazy method were fantastic for putting minimal effort in! I cannot stress this enough.

I really think that the Classic 1” Styler is a great 1st time straightener if you aren’t ready for a slightly larger investment with one of their higher end straighteners with more features, and you’ll love the way this straightener performs! Even though I mentioned above that I didn’t get a great result curling due to my hair type, I’m still giving it a 5 star rating – My reasoning for this is, for its intended function as their “Classic” option it does the job very well!.

Whenever I use GHD straighteners, I always think back to the first set I was bought for Christmas in 2005. They were the original ceramic styler from the Think Pink campaign and whilst they’re still going strong almost 2 decades later, they do not compete with the GHD original styler I’ve got now.

Just the packaging alone has been streamlined and looks so much cooler and sleeker than it’s predecessor. Safety is clearly a priority since the straighteners beep when the plug is turned on at the mains although the appliance hasn’t been switched on yet.

The smooth flat button that lights up when turning on the straighteners is a nice touch compared to the old switch style on my original GHDs. These heat up quickly and I counted it took 15 seconds for the straighteners to be ready; plus incorporating another beep to signal they’re good to go! I also noticed a raised finger guard on the top plate, something my original straighteners never had and could’ve done with to save my singed sausage fingers over the years.

The handling is really comfortable as the straighteners are slightly curved and rounded so fit in my hands better and feel really smooth when going through my hair. My hair is quite thick and gets tangled easily but these just glide through nice and slick! When using these, I don’t get that stretched feeling or that the straighteners are pulling on my hair and causing damage.

Owing to this, I also really like that it’s easy to add curls and tidy up my waves. Everything just wraps round nicely and doesn’t feel taut or pinched. Although I’m putting away the pink O. Gs, I’m really glad I’ve got these as a replacement.

They’re basically a massive improvement on what I fell in love with all those years ago and GHD never fails to let me down.

The original styler was already a holy grail straightener for me – so I was really curious to see how the updated version would perform! The new styler features the updated power button that the recent stylers have – which makes a welcome change to the usual on/off switch! It takes literally seconds for the styler to heat up (making a little noise when it’s ready) – very ideal for mornings or when you’re in a rush! There’s still only one heat setting (so no temperature control), however it seems to be quite an optimum temperature and doesn’t heat up too hot where you’re frying your hair, but also heats up enough to create hairstyles that last (curls for me using this styler last until I next wash my hair!).

The floating ceramic plates with rounded edges are still perfect for curling my hair and distributing heat evenly, and it feels even smoother going through my hair. I love how versatile this straightener is – I’ve used it for both straightening and curling and it’s perfect for both.

My hair’s quite long and fairly thick but it doesn’t take long at all to straighten – maybe around 10-15 minutes at the most! I love how light the styler is and that it has a swivel cord – it just makes it so easy to use, especially when curling hair since that involves a lot more movement! Overall I absolutely love this styler and would recommend it to anyone.

It’s the perfect size for long or short hair and so versatile. I’ve owned many GHD products throughout the years, so I know this styler will last me years to come. (My first pair lasted me at least 7+ years!) It’s also perfect for travelling due to how light it is and the amount of hair styles you can create with this is endless.

I was so excited to finally get to try one of the infamous Dyson hair styling tools! The Dyson Corrale is a flat iron that has the option to be used without a cord and is also rechargeable. The Corrale has a maximum temperature of 410 degrees.

I have naturally curly 3c/4a hair that’s thick and mid length. I washed and blow dried my hair first and then used the Dyson Corrale to finish off my look. Pros: * cordless option – great because you don’t have to worry about the cord getting in the way when using and it can be convenient when on the go * leaves hair shiny and sleek – I have black hair which can sometimes look dull if not styled properly and the Dyson gave my finished look sleekness and with a nice sheen * works great on thicker and curly textured hair – sometimes larger brand products aren’t geared towards hair types that some ethic groups have but the Dyson worked great on my thick, course hair which is natural with no chemical straighter.

* charge is decent – I was able to straighten roughly 90% of my hair off of a full charge which was about 35 minutes. * digital display makes it easy to know the status of your iron’s charge levels and temperature * stand and carrying case come with the iron – the stand is very convenient when using the iron to style Cons: * heavier than the average flat iron – while it wasn’t an issue for me just know the iron does have some weight to it.

likely due to the rechargeable battery. which can take a moment to get used to * charge – while I think the amount of time the Corrale holds its charge when in use, 30 minutes is not a long time for those who have thicker and longer hair.

If part of the wonder of this iron is its ability to be cordless, I’d expect at least an hour. *could be difficult to travel with via plane – while the Dyson has a airplane mode feature, you must remember to set it to that mode and for international travel, some countries such as Japan wouldn’t allow you to travel in or out the coun.

It’s crazy to me to see so many negative reviews, but reading several gave me some insight into how I’d like to break down my own review: First, I have short, mostly gray (wirey) hair. I use IGK brand hair products, in addition to occasional use of the Dyson straightener.

I’ve never had universally considered “good” hair: it’s thin, frizzy, can take 6 hours to air dry, is brittle, and only grows out to my shoulders before it starts falling out like crazy—seemingly genetic as all women on my mom’s side have the same issue.

I balked at the price of this. I bought a BNY brand little mini ceramic hair straightener 7 years ago for $200 and instantly regretted that purchase. But it lasted 7 years! The problem was: I didn’t realize it was terrible until I bought this Dyson.

My hair is so smooth, no flyaways, and it actually holds its style—whether I curl or just straighten with this)!! I’ve literally never achieved that with any other heat tool (even leaving the hair stylist’s, within 30 minutes my hair is frizzy and I get the big waves right around my face which I hate on me).

While using this, I haven’t had to touch-up my style at all throughout the day—it holds beautifully. The downsides are absolutely the price, and I do wish it held a charge longer. BUT I did my hair and 2/3 of my kids’ with one charge, totaling roughly 50 minutes of use yesterday on a 3/4 full battery.

With my short hair, I can get roughly 4 days of use before I need to charge my straightener. Next, I agree that it is heavy. I’m very strong and have no issue, but my oldest daughter struggled with it after just two sections of hair.

If this lasts as long as the little $200 crappy straightener I had, I’ll be happy. But one of the biggest selling features to me was the ability to use it wirelessly, and if the battery depletes to a point where it’s wireless use is defunct, I’ll likely regret this purchase….

Great product. Lots of positives, small amounts of negatives that Dyson has still not sorted. Positives: straightens my thick candy floss/nylon hair mixed heritage long hair into a chic straight style with lots and lots of shine.

It does it quite quickly with only a few passes. I do need more than one pass for my hair. The shape of it means that I do not have frizzy rat tail ends to my hair as I can shape them under – something that just did not work with my old straighteners by a well-known brand.

My hair never feels scorched or gets a burning smell that I got with my old straighteners. My hair is down my back but I can still do it within 30 – 40 mins. It gets right up to the root and it does not leave any ridges.

It’s easy to understand how to use – once you’ve figured out that you need to take out the Flight Mode Button and turn it the opposite way – lining the green House icon up with the green arrow – and put it back in.

The flight mode feature allows you in theory to take it in your hand luggage (but they advise that you still check with your Airline). The good news is that on these latest models, they have made the Flight Mode button so that you remove and put back in, in reverse– whereas in the old one, you just pulled it out and left it hanging out, which was crazy as it was destined to get broken off.

It charges up pretty quickly. It has three heat settings meaning that my mum with her much thinner hair in her 70s can use it but I can also use it on my very, thick long hair. And of course, it can be used cordless (but let’s come back to that bit).

Abby Horne does a superb job of demonstrating this excellent product and what she tells you is the truth – it’s a game changer. I no longer have to go to the Hairdressers for expensive blow-dries. I also own a Dyson hairdryer.

The two together cost about the same as my second hand car. It’s a considered purchase and one I do not regret. The instalment plans and 60 day return, if you are unhappy, really is as good as you get.

At first, as they are different from your standard straighteners and dryers, you might think you cannot handle them. Keep going for at least 2 weeks. You will then never turn back! Negatives: 1) It’s nice that it’s cordless for freedom of styling in the home but it’s heavy and big and they still haven’t sorted that out.

So, in reality, it’s not something you would really want to carry with you unless absolutely necessary. 2) For those with thick, long hair, straightening it means that the battery runs out before you’ve finished so you end up putting it back In the dock to charge for quite a while.

I’ve tried putting the cord on when it starts to sound its beep that the battery is low but it carries on beeping even with the cord in and more importantly struggles to keep the straightener charged.

It’s not broken – a relative has the same one and the same challenge. My tip: keep the cord in right at the start whilst it is fully charged and it seems to keep its charge better that way. I’ve still not solved the problem though.

3) I’ve watched beautiful curls being created by Abby and the models on QVC and YouTube but no matter how hard I try, I cannot create them with this straightener. My mixed heritage hair does not slip through traditional straighteners and I think that might be the issue.

I think my mixed heritage hair does not need the corrale part of the plates fitting so closely together. I cannot pull the product down the hair – it will not slide – so I cannot create the ribbon-like curls that sadly everyone else can.

This is the one thing that Abby hasn’t yet covered in her superb presentation – ABBY – HOW CAN I GET IT TO SLIDE TO CREATE CURLS IN MY MIXED RACE HAIR? I DON’T HAVE INSTAGRAM! MANY THANKS It was also difficult to register the product for its guarantee with Dyson online and we had to telephone them in the end, to do so.

We downloaded the manual for the straightener and looked for the registration information – that gave a Dyson website address based in India. We visited that website and put in the serial number but it said it was ‘invalid’.

We then looked on Google for the registration website and found one. We put in the serial number but it wouldn’t accept it. Luckily we had a telephone number for Dyson customer service and the lady took the serial number and registered it.

We got a confirmation email OK. Overall, a must gadget. A considered purchase but over time, it pays for itself through the vastly reduced visits to the hairdressers. Finally, we can all create our best looks, at home!.

This is my first time using a steam straightener so I wasn’t sure if my hair would accept this type of straightening because I have naturally wavy hair and I was afraid it would make it frizzy or curly.

But after doing a little research, l found out that the main culprit of frizz is actually a lack of moisture in your hair. This straightener releases just the right amount of steam to help maintain a higher level of moisture in your hair shaft as you pass the tool over your hair without leaving it wet.

It gives me pin straight hair, without looking flat and lifeless. I find that the steam facilitates more even heat distribution, which really cuts down on straightening time. I have long fine hair and one pass gets my hair totally curl-free.

It takes me less than 20 min to straighten my hair and it lasts me perfectly for days even in humidity. It comes with an integrated comb that can be taken out, but I prefer to use it with a comb because I like how it separates my hair and helps keep it in place so each hair gets perfectly straight.

It’s a bit bulkier than a regular straightener making it a little more difficult to get a consistent wave when you use it as a waver, especially if you have short hair. There is a cold protective barrier that prevents you from getting too close to the roots, but this is not an issue for me as my hair is mostly straight at the roots.

Plates are smooth and flexible and I find that they provide closer contact between the plates when the iron is closed, so you don’t have to make several more passes on your hair than necessary. Also, I love the long cord because it makes it easy to hold and use.

I bought this straightner with high hopes that my curly thick coarse hair can be straightned into sleek smooth and shiny mane with less damage. Not sure how it is working for others and how genuine all the youtube videos are, but for my hair it’s causing more damage by pulling the hair all the time.

The plates are 1 inch but there is a casing around these plates for the steam to pass through. The hair is getting stuck on that casing and breaking the hair. Tried removing the comb and using it but still the same issue.

I could see the hair breaking. Immediately switched to my previous straightner to finish styling and took the steampod back to the store. The staff member tried it on my hair which has already been straightned before I stepped out and obviously it was gliding without pulling.

Also the section was straightened without going much closer to the roots. So apparently it’s something that is not an issue with the product so cannot be returned or exchanged. I have requested them to wet a section of the hair, dry it and then try the steampod on curly hair to see how hair is pulled out but I got the answers that you have to section and straighten the hair and that the hair should be completely dry.

I have been straightning my hair for years and know how to work with a flat iron. Such a disappointing experience. After you save money hoping to get something better for yourself but purchasing a much worse product that is causing more damage.

Have to be stuck with it because of terms and conditions without regard for customer experience. Money down the drain.

Short report: Its simple but gets hot quick and stays hot, the features work well, great for short hair but you need the longer one for long hair, expect a tiny learning curve but it is worth it. Full report: My stylist recommended this brand to me and I am a fan.

This tool was exactly what I needed- it heats up fast and stays hot, the outside stays cool thanks to the fan (low risk of burning myself major ++), the cord is long and thick, the tool itself weighs next to nothing, and it is under $100.

I have short hair for the first time in forever so my ancient tools needed an update and this thing was perfect- it replaced a straightener and my wide curling iron and let me splurge on a hair dryer (which is what matters most imho).

THE GOOD: It is basically a solid hair straightener with a cool blast feature. This feature ‘sets’ the curl or wave immediately, letting you pin it or leave it hanging without burning yourself or getting your neck all sweaty.

You can curl tighter or looser depending on your movement, bump or flip ends, and quickly tame cowlicks and bangs. Thats it. Its simple but works!. if you know what you are doing. If you are used to curling with a straight iron then this will feel amazing but if not then there is like a 20 min learning curve but it is worth it! (and honestly applies to all straighteners so learn once and do forever) -It is a perfectly neutral pink, not a huge eye sore -it is sooooo light, I never thought I would care but I realized I could do my whole hair without needing to give my wrists a break -It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off after a certain time THE BAD: HOWEVER.

If you have LONG HAIR aka PAST YOUR SHOULDERS (and, like me, have a lot of it) then do NOT get this tool. this guy would’ve been useless to me a month ago when my hair was past my chest. Maybe if your hair is fine or you don’t have much then ok BUT FEAR NOT- They sell a longer version on their website, I will upgrade to that one when I get there and this one will transition to live on as my travel tool.

Love this lil guy. -The iron doesnt open very wide, which I admit my older tool probably had a hinge issue, but I wish this opened wider to feed hair easier (also why this isnt a good match for long thicker hair) THE THINGS OF NOTE, but ok it at this price point: The two buttons are sensitive and their size and position is right where I tend to place my hand when rotating it.

I’m learning my way around it, but can throw you off. (Maybe its my hands? I wear size medium winter gloves. ?) -The fan does make noise, but it is not very loud and you can turn it on and off. I actually love it.

it reminds my clumsy self that a hot tool is there and to turn it off. -Please at least skim the manual to read about cleaning and maintaining it, its easy and will make sure your money was well spent.

If you have hard to curl hair – get this tool! I have very fine/silky hair. It never wants to hold a curl, especially in the summer when it’s consistently 80-90% humidity. The only way it would hold it the best was with a flat iron, and even on extra humid days or rainy days, it would be almost completely straight after a day.

At first I thought this thing was a gimmick, but what intrigued me about the Le Duo is the fact that it blows air while you’re curling, so essentially setting the curl immediately, and I decided to give it a try.

When I tell you my hair has never held a curl like this. it has NEVER held a curl like this!! I even had to tame them because the curls were so curly! After the initial settling of the curls, I went outside, where the humidity was intense that day, and all my curls stayed! I’ve used it a few times now with different hair dirtiness and styling products, and every time the curls stay better than any other tool I’ve used.

I highly doubt I’ll ever go back to a regular flat iron (or a curling iron/wand which literally does nothing for my hair), this is it for me! Seriously, if you have silky hard to curl hair, try this out!.

I totally don’t understand all the bad reviews for this bad boy! I want to preface by stating that I am not great with hair – I don’t watch YouTube videos or tutorials, and if something isn’t easy, it simply won’t get used.

My hair is shoulder length, wavy and thick – I’ve got A LOT of hair. I bought this because I was looking for a great combo tool – that can curl and straighten – to keep in my suitcase (I travel for work a lot).

I’ve tried curling with my straightener but can’t seem to master it, and I don’t want to pack both a wand and a straightener in my carry-on. I just got the Le Duo, and so far I am SUPER impressed! I’m glad I didn’t read into all the negative reviews! – this is easy to use.

Something about the clamp action makes it easier to curl than my straightener – it heats up quickly – it does seem that the fan adds to the curl, but you can turn this off if preferred – I haven’t yet hit the buttons like some reviews mention – they’re a tad bit recessed and just haven’t had this issue – I will update my review if this happens bc I can see how that would be annoying – I also tested with zero product in super oily hair, so I can’t wait to try when my hair is cleaner + product! I think this will only get better Anyway, just my $.

02 – if I love it, I’ll likely be purchasing a second one for my everyday use!.

Not the greatest quality. I didn’t expect a lot but Certainly was surprised with the quality of the product. It’s most definitely not what I expected. which says a lot considering the fact that I had no high expectations whatsoever.

It gets the job done. not fast enough, but it gets it done. It also smells weird. i bought a few months ago. Not even a year old. I saw a review that said “as good as Chi” on here so I bought it. It was a lie, It’s not as good as Chi.

It’s not good at all at least not for the price. But I do like the color and it how it looks. 1 star for color, 1 star for looks 👌🏼👏🏼.

I’ve been straightening my hair for over 10 years and have gone through a lot of flat irons. I would skip this one. I read the reviews for purchasing, and I should’ve listened. As a flat iron, it’s just okay.

It does take multiple passes to straighten as others have stated. I have moderately wavy to curly hair, so nothing too crazy, and it does a mediocre job. This does pull at my hair, which results in fall out.

The temp controls are the best I’ve ever across since it allows you to choose basically any heat setting, which is awesome. That isn’t enough to make this straightener worth the purchase though. Definitely skip this and look for a better reviewed flat iron.

I will be returning this one.
