20 Best Hair Serums For Growth (2023 Updated)

I received a full size sample of this product from Influenster and Ouai, in exchange for my honest review. I have been using this product for the past 6 weeks, at least 5x’s/ week. I have straight, long hair with an overly dry and sometimes sensitive scalp.

I have this both on wet and dry hair, and I haven’t noticed much of a difference in this aspect, however, I did prefer using it on wet hair, just because I felt that it absorbed better and was easier to distribute evenly onto scalp.

After initially using, I did appreciate the nice, clean smell that the product had and I did enjoy the feel of the product on my scalp. However, that is about where it has ended for me. I’m unsure to how much benefit that I have really seen.

I don’t see much of a difference in regards to how thick, longer, fuller that my hair has been vs. prior to using this product. I do think that there may have been a slight difference in how much it seems as if my scalp is less dry.

I do appreciate that the product did not make my scalp any more dry, nor did it leave my hair looking or feeling greasy or leave any greasy residue. However, with the temperature change/ season changes, my scalp is usually pretty bad during this time.

I do however, think that I would continue to use this product, and possibly add the vitamins along with this product, before I gave this product a final determination.

In exchange for my honest review, I did receive this product to test from Influenster. I started testing this serum a little over a month ago and I have actually noticed a slight change! I have a bit of eczema on my hairline that causes dandruff as well as irritation.

Since using this product a few times a week, I’ve noticed that my hairline isn’t nearly as dry or flaky! Do not use it on ANY open areas or irritated skin though! After applying this to my scalp, I put aloe on a sunburn without washing it off my hands and it burned so bad! There was only a very very small bit still left on my hands but please use caution with broken or irritated skin while using this stuff.

The best application method I’ve found is after the shower but dropping it onto a dry scalp and rubbing it in seems to have worked just fine! It takes a bit to soak in but dries down in any hair it was applied to amazingly.

I just rub my fingers across it when it’s all dry and you can’t tell anything was there. The serum does have a strong minty kinda citrusy, clean scent. I didn’t mind it but it is something to note. I also suffer from some hair loss on my hairline as well and haven’t noticed much of a difference in my hair fullness if any.

I’ll continue using the bottle up and seeing if there is any difference. Overall it gets a 6 1/2 out of 10 for me. I don’t know if I would purchase this product at full price but a bottle of it seems like it would last a very long time!.

I have a lot of stress (emotional and otherwise) and my hair was thinning, which aggravated my stress. It became a horrific cycle that I thought wouldn’t end. I’ve been using the shampoo daily and the serum at night for about 3 months now.

It does look like my hair line is thicker/fuller. I think it’s actually working despite all the tension in my body – which means this must actually work lol I’m eventually going to do PRP and get one of those laser light therapy caps too boost results.

But these products do seem to be helping so I will continue. I would recommend them more than Minoxidil since I had side effects from that (heart palpitations) and no side effects from these products.

I’m on the monthly subscription for continuous growth. The little spots in the front look like they are filling in. Definitely worth the $ plus they check in and care about their customers beyond the money.

Always read the return policy before purchasing. This product arrived in a dirty, stomped on box (the pretty interior box holding the product) and the serum has no safety seal whatsoever. The box is also not sealed.

Do you all put this product in your head when there is no product safety seal?! No way for me. Especially since it came in a dirty box. Who knows how adulterated this could be. The return policy says even if dissatisfied as a first time buyer, they will refund LESS the original shipping and you have to ship it back yourself no label provided.

Unbelievable. I would contact American Express but I don’t want this company unjustly enriched just because Am Ex is an actual good company. So annoyed to have to deal with this.

I am so blessed to have become a mother in 2019. My hair has always been thick, long and a major confidence booster throughout my life. After having my son just before 2020, my hair was suddenly falling out in clumps.

Well…. I have had the Curlmix watermelon kit for a few months, but have only used three times because I am still learning the process. Coach Jai has been the most helpful because I have low porosity hair and she explained a clearer process.

Third time was ALMOST the charm …. Getting better. Will try WNG twice a week to get hair used to saturation. Still getting some crunch after drying under hooded dryer. Still trying to figure out refresh.

Overall, I’m satisfied with the product … Just need to stick with the process.

Was in the market for a silicone free serum and boy are these hard to find! I use this for separating and breaking the hard cast after the gel dries and loved it! Before I had been using olive or cocunut oil but this is so much better.

Plus with the added benefits of helping with hair growth! Only note I would give is maybe make one that doesn’t have any scent? Or milder one because even though I like the watermelon scent it can be a little strong sometimes, and before I got used to it it kind of gave me a headache.

But that’s just me. After I got used to the smell it didn’t happen again but it can definitely be a little overwhelming.

I’ve been doing wash n go for years. Didn’t know that was what it was called. I love the way it makes my hair feel during the wash all the way thru the gel. I had not used gel for years. I did use the blow dryer but even when my hair is air dried which I have always done it looks beautiful 🙂 I used the lavender because my hair has always had a dryness and I used the berry-vanilla because my hair is on the finer side and I wanted to build up more strength.

I have used this product for the last 20 years. I am 79 and still have a sufficient amount of hair. I originally became familiar with it 45 years ago when I was in my 30’s. Then it made my hair very comfortable, soft and healthy.

My supplier disappeared and was able to find it when internet became available. I also use for skin on other parts of my body. A recent one is when my dermatologist prescribed a $350 medication for rosacea that was between my lips and nose.

I tried Kaminomoto and it relieved the rosacea. Skin at base of my nose no longer scales and does not turn red. I have used a brush for my hair for 2-3 years and there is hardly any hair in it, maybe 10 hairs.

I think that is a good indication of the working properties of this product.

– Baby hairs growing denser – Significantly less hair fallout – Hair root is SO MUCH less oily. I usually wake up to oily hair everyday, but if I put this on in the morning, the next day my hair isn’t greasy and still feels fresh.

This leaves a nice cooling feeling on my scalp and i think this is what helps promote healthy hair: Warm scalp = more sebum production = dirt and grime sticks to hair roots = bad for hair health. But that’s just my theory! Transferred this into a spray bottle for easier application.

Overall, this has done wonders for my hair and scalp. I used to use it sporadically but now I use it every night cause I just genuinely enjoy what it does for me!.

I use Fantasia products quite a bit, unfortunately this one did not work well for my hair. I have thin blonde hair and the spray was too heavy and greasy for me. It does however work very well for my two granddaughters.

They are biracial and it worked wonderfully when my daughter tried it on their hair. She has started buying it for them since I gave her this can.

I love these products. The serum helps strengthen my hair keeps my scalp healthy. My product is by earthshine. It’s an oil that you apply to your hair and scalp to stimulate new hair growth. I’m on my 3rd bottle just waiting for results. I want it to work really bad. However, I’m not so convinced.

I have seen a little growth around my temples but that’s about it. I believe I’m done with this. I’ll be searching for a new miracle cure.

I have to say since I started using the Thinning Hair Serum , I have noticed a slowing down of the hair falling out. The more I’ve used it the less I found in my brush or the shower. I don’t usually wash my hair every day , I’m usually a wash my hair once a week kind of woman because I do color my hair.

The directions suggest to use the serum at night & wash with thinning shampoo in the morning. So I’ve adjusted to washing my hair twice a week for now. , but have been applying the serum every night.

I love what I’m seeing. The serum has a nice scent and actually feels good when I massage it onto my scalp. Everyone is different so should work out what’s best for you. I love the fact my hair feels fuller and I see baby hairs growing.

My hair has started thinning over the last few years due to age and stress. I went on a search for a solution. I tried at least four different shampoos, supplements , not using a brush and only a wide tooth comb to help and shampooing less.

Finally I found L’ange. I have to say this serum has helped so much. It has been several weeks and the hair loss is less and my hair has more lift. I have noticed some new hair growth on top. After what I have already experienced I have confidence the serum will only help the problem get even better.

The scent is very light which I also love.

All I can say is WOW! I have tried every oil there is out there to try to slow down my shedding. But oils are SO hard to wash out, sometimes it takes 2-3 shampoos. This little beige bottle of magic is creamy not oily, so it washes out like conditioner.

It is one of the only products that actually gives volume to my hair. Since you do have to leave it over night, I don’t even use as described and still have AMAZING results. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!.

These drops feel so amazing on the scalp. My husband has dreads and I use these to moisturize his scalp and he states it feels much better than any oil he’s ever used. I use these as well for my edges and it also smells amazing.

I love Camille Rose products so much. The consistency of the product is not like that of other scalp moisturizers. It is more liquidy, almost like watered down aloe vera gel. It makes my hair so soft and smells yummy.

I’m obsessed with this product. I’ve always been skeptical of these especially how much you pay for a small amount, but this one is very generous and I have noticed so much new growth in areas I was worried I’d caused permanent damage to.

I use 1-2 droppers worth once or twice a day and apply directly to my scalp from the dropper. I wish I would’ve measured before and after but I can tell just from looking at it that my thinner areas have filled out and it is growing longer as well.

I’ve been using this product for five weeks. Following the how to use directions to the T. I have thing edges and some small spots that are bald. I’m not sure if it’s working just yet. But I like the fact that the contents is not messy and drys quicks.

What I didn’t like about this product , while using the drops I had my hair In a protective style. Braided cornrows. My scalp was extremely flaky!!! I couldn’t understand why. I have a very healthy scalp so that took me by surprise.

Of all the Kerastase serums (even the latest bestsellers), I like this one the best, and it’s the only serum I’ve reordered (multiple times). My hair is long & fine, and I wash it two-three times per week.

It’s already healthy (I rarely use any heat tools, always air dry & get regular trims), so I didn’t see much difference with respect to enhancing hair strength & shine. That said, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that my scalp occasionally becomes more itchy and gets red/irritated along my front hairline.

This serum absolutely soothes & calms my scalp. Within a few days of initial & continued regular use, the itchiness & redness goes away and stays away for awhile. My scalp feels SO MUCH better after using this, and not even the bestselling serum in the gold bottle calmed my scalp like this Extensioniste serum.

I buy it for the scalp relief, and hair benefits are icing on the cake for me. Also, if you use too much, your scalp & hair could feel overly heavy or oily after a day or two. However, if you follow the application directions and use only the instructed amount, the heaviness & oiliness can be avoided.

I have used this product since Sep 2020 (2 vials so far), and am about to purchase my third in Jan 2020. I have thick, naturally curly hair which is cut in layers/highlighted every 8 weeks, and I typically blow dry straight with a round brush.

I have seen improvement in overall health and shine, and recently, have seen exceptional increase in growth. I wash my hair with the extentioniste shampoo, towel dry, apply the extentioniste masque, and most recently steam my hair while using my facial steamer (10-15 min), massaging the hair and scalp.

I then rinse, towel dry, apply the extentioniste serum, massage in, and then apply the extentioniste thermique (I may or may not blow dry at this point). This seems extensive, but I have noticed by doing this routine, I now only have to wash my hair (and do the process) on Sundays and Wednesdays, without any need for dry shampoo.

2020 was enough to make me realize this investment in myself is truly worth it—and is actually cheaper than the years of neglect and throwing fixes at my neglected hair (expecting miracles of my stylist every 8 weeks).

I don’t usually use conditioner around my roots because I have straight fine hair (but a lot of it) that gets oily and weighed down quickly. While I haven’t necessarily seen the intended results of this, namely stronger hair that grows longer, that wasn’t really my issue.

I love using one pipette of this on my scalp after a shower as I find it does a great job of ensuring that the hair around my roots is smooth, soft, and detangled without getting greasy. I also love the smell of this, very lightweight and fresh without being overly floral or woodsy.

I am diagnosed with female pattern hair loss (AGA) which developed around 4. 5 years ago and worsened drastically after being on birth control for over 2 years. Now I only have about 30% hair left compared to what I used to have in 2015 and they continue to get thinner and fall out.

I’m not giving up, though, so I completed PRP therapy course which did help grow new hairs. Unfortunately, most of them only grew up to a couple of cm long and then fell out because of DHT attacks. For many reasons, minoxidil is not an option for me so after studying the scientific research reports I decided to try melatonin-based treatment.

The original one was too expensive and I was rather lucky to come across this serum which is a bit more affordable. What I can say is it really STOPS HAIR FALL. In just 2 weeks the number of hair falling out has noiceably decreased.

I wash and comb my hair every morning so I can see the difference it makes. Healthy women with usually lose old, long hair while with AGA your hair becomes thinner and doesn’t grow long so I had lots of short and vellus hairs remaining on my comb and hands each morning.

Now I see much less short hair falling out which is a real win for an AGA patient! I can’t say it promotes new hair growth (PRP-therapy shows much better results in stimulating new hair) but it definitely makes already grown hair stay in place.

With AGA, I couldn’t wish for more! However, once I stop using it for a week or two, hair fall starts as usual but this is rather expected (AGA never sleeps). The only drawback I noticed is that it makes my scalp really itchy after continuous use and even causes acne-like spots under hair but this can be fixed with proper salon peeling and home treatment.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with this serum as I’m seeing visible results with much less hair staying on my comb so I definitely recommend this (don’t forget to combine with other treatments like PRP, mesotherapy, electric stimulation, laser etc.

as topical serum alone won’t work miracles).

It’s too soon to know if it’s working or not. I just started using this, but I love the way it feels on my scalp. It is not greasy, and has a slight cooling affect. It helps any itchiness, and best of all I feel like I don’t have to wash it out like other hair serums I have tried.

It’s very easy to apply. It helps my shampoo lather up better- I think this could be that I’m massaging my scalp and loosening any oils and dirt etc but either way it makes washing easier. I am hopeful for this to help with growth and thickness.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find that your company’s claims of being able to stimulate hair growth were valid. The hair regrowth has begun already, and although it is not as yet fully merged with the hair I had left, I expect that it will get there.

I was so excited to try the new dpHUE ACV Daily Scalp Serum and was not disappointed. First off I love that this product is color safe because I color my roots and that is free of parabens, SLS and SLES sulfates, vegan, fragrance free, no phthalates, and silicone to name a few so I know it’s a high quality product that is good and safe for my scalp and hair and feel good about using it.

I’ve been using this serum every day for several weeks now by massaging it on nightly with my fingertips to my dry scalp. I’ve noticed my scalp is no longer dry and it has really nourished my scalp as well.

I was using it before coloring my roots so know it also protected my scalp and kept it healthy. Now my hair has been shedding more then usual I believe due to stress and was excited to see if this helped in lessen my hair shedding and loss and it did! I’ve noticed less hair shedding and still have the high stress level in my life so I know it’s due to this scalp serum! I think it also has to do that this serum unclogs and exfoliates hair follicles so helps with the regrowth, and shedding and healthier hair in that.

It’s also helped in hair regrowth because I’ve noticed more hair regrowth as well to my surprise because have tried other products that were supposed to help with this but saw no results except for this dpHUE.

I bought this shampoo for my husband to try. He has used another professional shampoo for years but wanted a shampoo he could use that would be effective and less costly. I bought this on a whim and he loves it.

He has grey hair which is thinning a little due to medication. He often has problems with shampoos, having to much perfume which cause him allergy problems and often times find that some shampoos leave his hair to soft, or make his scalp itchy.

Daily Vitamins and ORS serum. My edges were pulled out from tight braids n in a month and a half they grew back.Be patient because it does work!

This smells absolutely horrible! I’m not sensitive to smells but this was so overpowering it gave me a headache immediately upon using. I also washed my hands (as directed on the box) three times and my hands still smelled and felt greasy.

It doesn’t smell like a pleasant or light salon product. Its more like a burned chemical. I could only use it once- will be returning. As for volume, I’ll go with something else. No dramatic results after one use.

Not worth the money AT ALL.

My hair grew back different after chemo with lots of gray mixed in a mousy brown and dark brown that is thin and some areas that showed a look of baldness in my crown and very curly that would cause a lot of knots in the back of my hair that is a few inches below my shoulders.

I purchased the Intense Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner, Bodifying Leave In Serum and the Original Hair Density Serum. After one use of the shampoo and conditioner and bodifying serum, I saw a big difference! My hair had more thickness and volume and I didn’t notice my thinness in my crown! I have been using my 20 drops of density serum religiously once a day and massage it all through my scalp, once i put it on my areas of biggest concern.

While it’s too soon to know the results, I can definitely feel the scensation on my scalp. I expect great results! Also, I have noticed my mousy brown has toned to a darker brown and overall it just looks healthier.

My hair is naturally blonde and curly (Caucasian ringlets) but I also have blonde highlights and fashion colours in there, so it can be hard to find a range that supports my needs. Last year I caught Covid, after 2 weeks of illness I suddenly starting losing a great amount of hair, my scalp became so sensitive and reddish. By pure chance on one of the websites I buy products from my eye caught the products of Barbara Sturm and one of them was the hair serum.

I purchased it and after a couple of weeks of use I noticed that the redness was fading and I no longer was sensitive. I have now being using this serum for over a year and I cannot do without. I just feel that my scalp has benefit so much from the use of it and will continue especially now that I am also going through hormone changes.

This is the only hair product I have ever used that calms my itchy scalp. I get ‘itchy scalp’ syndrome when I’m stressed out and really busy with work, it’s driven me mad for years and I have spent a lot of money trying out pricey products.

I am on my second bottle of this (it lasts ages). When I feel my scalp starting to irritate I use the dropper to put dots of the serum onto my finger tips then I massage my whole scalp starting with the most itchy area and continuing by adding more of the product to my fingertips….

the irritation is calmed very quickly. Excellent.

I bought a scalp serum. Overall, great product with visible results from week 3. I think there are some opportunities on the administration form. The pipet sometimes can be difficult to use when applying drops to the whole scalp.

Since its complicated to distribute it uniformly. At last, very happy with the scent and the sensation it leaves after applying. Happy to have acquired the product.
