After hearing RAVE reviews about this product, I finally took the leap and purchased a small travel sized version in the hopes that it would be the answer to my miserably limp, fine hair. Although I was wowed when I first applied it, as the day wore on, I was pretty disappointed.

PROS: Smells great! I’m not as enraptured as other people seem to be with Oribe’s signature scent (to me it smells like nice salon shampoo, nothing much more?), but it does feel luxurious and clean when you spray it in compared to regular high street brands which can be a bit headachey and chemical smelling.

I tried it both in my roots and all over layer by layer) to see how it held up, and honestly – it looks pretty. It gives you a nice, messy, undone kind of look that is effortlessly ‘rolled out of bed’ voluminous and wavy.

I compared one half of my head to the other when using it, and there was a definite increase in volume and it looked pretty glamorous! CONS: You cannot. Touch. Your hair. AT ALL! Once I ran my fingers through it to fluff it up a bit more, the volume seemed to collapse and disappear ENTIRELY.

It was super bizarre – even my boyfriend (who watched me spray it in and subjected to my ‘are you SURE it’s different? Different in what way? Is it nice big? Do you like it?’) was surprised at how quickly it reversed back to my normal flat hair.

I ended up spraying the whole thing again to try and get it back to being voluminous – very wasteful and I only have very fine medium length hair! Also – it leaves your hair feeling ROUGH and DRY AS HELL.

I bundled it up that evening and when I woke up to brush my hair out, I was shocked at how horrible and rough my hair had become! I was really not impressed at all by that point – I have used drugstore products that have left my hair feeling much better and produce reasonable volume.

Really outrageous in that respect given how much Oribe charges for this. Overall, I think this is a great product if you’re the kind of person who can leave their hair alone once it’s all done up – otherwise, any touching will make the hair collapse again.

I feel like maybe this would work well with a mousse of some kind and a shine serum (Oribe has a great one in a blue tube!). However, this is a luxury product, and I should not have to purchase and invest more products just to make this work.

However, I have friends and relatives who adore this stuff and swear by it. I’d still recommend it if you’re already quite good at styling hair and you have lots of hair products already in your routine.

But for me, it’s going back to the store in a returns box!.

I highly recommend all Oribe products especially this amazing texturizing spray it adds life back to hair especially day after washing it. I first used this 10 years ago for my wedding my hair stylist used this to create my beautiful wedding hair.

I’ve been addicted ever since. I have fine hair that completely transforms with this spray. It’a volume and body that you didn’t even know your hair was capable of. There’s a reason that oribe products are used time and time again by top industry hair stylists and salons because they really work and smell amazing too.

This is the lightest heat protector I’ve used. My hair is very thin, seems to get thinner every day. Breaking off, dry, damaged, highlights, curly and thin. Most heat protectants make my hair feel like there’s something in it, which makes me feel like I need to wash it again.

which kinda adds even more damage because I’ve been trying to just wash 2-3x/week because I use the blow dryer brush then straightening iron afterwards to reduce frizz. My hair is seriously in bad shape lately so I’m glad I found a lightweight heat protector.

It’s so light part of me wonders if I’m using enough. I hope it helps with the fried hair. To dispense it, I just turn the bottle over and tap the bottom A small drop comes out, and I use between 15-25 drops each time.

The instructions say to use “a metered drop” but I don’t feel like that’s enough even though my hair is super thin, and shoulder length. Maybe I’m wrong, I’d love some feedback on how many drops everyone uses and I would also love to know like.

how heat protectors work. Obviously it can’t reduce all the damage. but, maybe how much % less damage do you get when you use this? I like it because it’s lightweight and you’d have to spend a lot of time getting too much out, so I don’t run the risk of using too much product, because I have a bad habit of that since my hair is in such bad shape.

I’m always trying to add more products to make it “appear” healthier. I also use the #3 and I really like that. About to purchase my 2nd bottle of that along with the primer and hopefully it will help my hair out.

This is a small bottle but it will DEFINITELY last me probably close to a year. maybe a little less, but close, so it seems worth it to me. Adds a pretty shine, doesn’t help my flyaways much, I guess I just have too many at the current moment :(.

I’m so in love with this oil I’ve been buying it as gifts for friends and family! It’s almost a dry oil it’s so lightweight, but very very effective at smoothing hair and eliminating frizz, I have thick hair but don’t usually get on well with oils, often ending up greasy looking even when applying as little as possible, very frustrating when you’ve just done your hair! Uppercut products are choice. Top of the line, hands down. I’ve loved everything I’ve purchased from the brand. The deluxe pomade is no different. I use almost daily. Washes out and easily restyled. Competitively priced, although it’s worth whatever they decide to charge.

Great product! The pomade has a nice firm hold and last for the entire day. This was just what I was looking for in a pomade: clean, strong, firm hold for my hair with some sheen to it. Excellent product.

Over lockdown I grew my hair out like a lot of people and decided to go to for a traditional barber cut afterwards ending up with a slick back style. I found my existing hair products a bit lacking so decided to look into getting more professional (if you will) products.

After some research I liked the look of Uppercut’s products and also their brand ideals and after browsing their site settled on the Matte Pomade. Now that I’ve been using it for a while and figured out the best amount and application for my hair I’m really pleased with it.

It’s light and not too shiny giving my hair a natural look which I really like. It also washes out well with water meaning I don’t have to put my hair through shampooing every day but still working without making my hair greasy or limp a couple of days after shampooing.

I do find I need to hold the sides with some hairspray but that could be down to my hair or inexperience in styling longer hair (any plans for adding hairspray to your range?). Just on a side note, I was sent a really handy little guide with the product that gave scores out of 10 for hold and shine for all the styling products which was much more helpful than the info on the site in my opinion.

I’m rating this purchase one star because the product has completely changed or the wrong product was shipped to me. I’ve been using Suavecito’s premium blends matte pomade for over 3 years and have always been more than satisfied.

I was running out, so I bought it again. However, when I received the product and used it a few times, it was obvious that the product was not the same. Instead, the product in the can has a different texture than all the other purchases I’ve made of this product.

Additionally, and worst of all, the product makes my hair look and feel greasy. I will need to find a new product.

Dallas thickening spray really works to beef up thin, fine hair. It goes on clean, dries clear, is not flaky, sticky, and provides just the little bit of lift I need at the roots without the unnatural stiffness of other products.

This spray reminded me of the principle of the salt spray, only the hair sticks together less. With him, such a mane really turns out if you dry it with a diffuser. This is NOT the same American Crew Fiber that I’ve been using for the last several years. Inexplicably, they changed their formula to something softer and that does not hold all day the way it used to.

The first time I saw this, I thought the supplier either sourced a fake batch or didn’t store it property. This is infuriating. To change the product being sold with no announcement or disclaimer label is dishonest at best and counterfeit at worst.

I bought this as I thought with it’s alleged popularity amongst celebrities that it would be good quality and do the job it states it does. I was wrong. It doesn’t hold in place, gives little gloss to hair, but strangely, a lot of grease.

Makes hair look dirty and feel tacky. It’s also very scented, which is fine if you like the scent, but sickly if you don’t. My sister uses a run of the mill pomade for men and her hair looks way better for a fraction of the price.

Tried this out for the first time and I have not been very impressed. You can tell this is an old style of pomade. It does work very effectively if you want it to hold well but it will make your head look greasy.

If that’s your style then this may be perfect for you. My other issue is that it is impossible to get out of your hair! Even after a couple of washes, it will not all be out. That alone will make me not want to repurchase this product again.

Hi. This is the best product I’ve ever tried. Nothing else has worked for me. I am a white woman with hair that is wavy, medium-length, and very frizzy. Just a dime-sized amount makes it smooth and shiny.

It also defines my waves. Also, I don’t have to apply more that day. I just finger-comb it. Regardless of what some people say, it is not like glue. Maybe they use too much of it. I don’t know. I put this in dry hair and it’s perfect just the way it is.

I just warm it up in my hands a little first. Jennifer Aniston supposedly uses it, too. All in all, this is a great product that is very affordable. I highly recommend it. BTW, for those reading this, do not apply any thick hair product to the scalp.

It may close up the pores, eventually resulting in hair loss.

I remember my father using this back in the 60’s. He was African American and Seminole Indian. His hair was wavy. He would use this and brush it down to make waves in his hair. It is an excellent product to use, it is thick so it will hold your edges in place.

The scent is also appealing, I have used this to hold my edges in place, so it works.
