20 Best Hair Product For Mullet (2023 Updated)

I love this Clarifying Shampoo. I’ve tried many before (Creme of Nature Apple Cider Rinse, Camille Rose Clean Rinse, etc), and all of those stripped the moisture from my hair and made it so dry and straw-like.

But after using Bounce Curls: Clarifying Shampoo, my hair wasn’t dry at all! It was moisturized, super soft, and had so much volume! I couldn’t keep my hands out of my hair I was so surprised. And even after I dried it with my microfiber towel it was still so soft, my hair cuticles were so smooth.

For this product you really don’t need a lot, it foams and spreads easily, and it really does clarify the scalp and remove product build-up. This product gives amazing results on my low porosity 3C-4A curls.

As soon as I got done using it, I tossed my other clarifying shampoo’s in the trash and immediately went to Bounce Curls to purchase more of this product. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

I have scalp psoriasis that is helped, but not cured, by expensive oral medication. I realized that my scalp seemed even angrier after washing my hair and started researching common trigger ingredients….

narrowed it down to propylene glycol, which is in SO MANY THINGS, including my expensive Purology shampoo and the steroid creams I was using that didn’t seem to help. It was really difficult to find a shampoo that was curly safe and didn’t have PG.

This shampoo has literally changed my life. The scent is divine, it actually seems to calm my red itchy scalp spots, and it really cleans my hair without that dried-out tangly feel. And I don’t have to scrub for 15 minutes to get clean.

I have been using this shampoo for a little over two months now, and the change in my hair has been fantastic! I use this to wash two to three times a week, and follow-up with the super smooth cream conditioner.

I have also been using the hair detox mask once per month, with deep conditioner. Since using this shampoo, my curls have gained more definition, life, and shine. My 2c/3a hair has been COMPLETELY transformed by the Bounce Curl Products, and I am more comfortable washing my hair more often.

This shampoo leaves my roots without build-up, adding great volume to my hair after each wash. It does not leave the hair feeling dry, but rather leaves it feeling soft – the perfect precursor to detangling once conditioner is in.

In LOVE! I have tried literally every type of dry shampoo stocked on the shelves of my local Walmart, Target and Walgreen’s or CVS! I’m not even exaggerating a little bit! I have my little list of the ones that I can use, in case of emergency (ya know, the type of emergency where you don’t pay close enough attention to how much product is left in the bottle and recorder on time, so your midway through styling what is turning out to be the best hair day you’ve had in 6 months, and mid-spray, your bottle is completely empty, and your perfect hair day is ruined, all bc you didn’t order your replacement bottle last week-emergency?!) I have a stash of “acceptable” in case of that kind of emergency.

But, seriously the selection is microscopic at best and very seldom touched. because I can’t do without my L’ange Style Revival! Hands down, SR is amazing, and the absolute best dry shampoo I have ever used!! I don’t not have, nor have I found any other brand that compares to this!! My hair always comes out looking, feeling and smelling amazing, there is no chalky, powdery residue left visible in my dark brown and red hair, nor is there any deposited on my clothes when I brush through my hair or wear dark colors! That is a HUGE deal breaker for me; My chosen career field requires me to wear a uniform every day.

and no matter which uniform I have to wear, they are all very dark navy blue or solid black, so I can’t use a product that flakes white dust all over, looking nasty on my dark uniforms. Zero problem with my SR! I can use it confidently, knowing, my hair looks, feels and smells amazing, and my uniform is not wearing it, or giving my secret of unwashes hair away! Customer for life! I exclusively use l’ange products but was always afraid to hair train because I used either big Box store products, department store products or even salon products and they always weigh down my hair, caked it up and over all never worked.

They definitely wouldn’t allow me to go 4 days without washing my hair But with this I can go 4 days sometimes even 5 with different hairstyles everyday And it does not weigh my hair down it actually helps with the different hairstyles it gives it that little bit of grit that I need to go from beach waves to straight hair to curls.

This stuff is amazing! I have type 4 hair with high shrinkage and not the smoothest surface texture. I’m currently a little above bra strap length and this helps to detangle my hair so well with little product.

I apply about a dime size throughout my whole head and work it through with my fingers. I twist my hair into rough sections (about 6-8) to keep it stretched. As I detangle section by section, I spray my hair with a little water as needed, then apply just a dab (just the tip of my pinky finger) more to the section and brush through.

I can detangle so much faster now because it has the ultimate slip. My blowouts are also way more smooth and lightweight due to not needing much product. My hair, even when I flat twist and sit under a hooded dryer, just has more swing.

No stiffness from being weighed down. If you have “natural hair” and it’s not working, it’s more than likely because you’re being too heavy handed. I got the 6 ounce bottle for half off during the Gorgeous Hair Event and it should definitely last until the next one, but if it doesn’t for whatever reason, I’m willing to pay full price for it.

For all of my life I’ve had long, thick, dirty blonde hair. I definitely struggled with dry ends, but they were never a massive problem. Half way through high school I started highlighting my hair. It also restoresrepairs every portion of your curls. Over time, with Silk Infusion, I have been able to grow my curls longer, much faster vs. Infra. I have found when I have tried the Infra, it does not do as good a job as the Silk Infusion.

Also, the Silk Infusion does so much better job as a leavein conditioner, instantaneously giving your curls a beautiful shine so the curls, and color, of your hair really come through. The Infra kind of just sits there, and weighs my curls down.

I have Chestnut mahogany colored, thick Irish curls. I apply a dimesize portion in the palm of my hands and run through all the way to the ends of the curls in the front and sides. I then apply a second dimesize portion to apply to the back and underside.

I use a wide comb to more completely incorporate. This greatly reduces split ends, repairs hair shaft and allows me to grow my hair. I do not blow dry my hair except my bangs. I have used this for 11 years, and it is amazing.

Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Damaged / Dry Hair has been working great so far. I received this product as a free sample box from @bzzagent It’s a heat protectant and moisturiser so I don’t burn my hair any more.

I have medium length, wavy, thin, dry hair, color-treated and prone to frizziness. First off, this product smells absolutely amazing and it lasts all day long. First of the scent is amazing. It’s citrusy but not over powering and leaves my hair smelling fresh all day long.

It has a creamy texture that applied nicely to my damp hair and didn’t make my strands sticky or weighed Down. I love that I can put this in after the shower and then blow dry my hair and it is extremely silky smooth and shiny.

It has helped tremendously and I absolutely love styling my hair now. Once I was completely done drying my hair, I noticed that my hair created a good volume. It looked so much healthy & hydrated. This product definitely gave me visible results with just one use.

It’s glides through your hair without weighing down. My hair was very manageable & silky after using it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good styling/heat protectant product.

Kerastase Resistance Blow-Dry Primer for Damaged / Dry Hair has been working great so far. I have medium length, straight, thick, dry hair, and I am always concerned about using heat products. I have been following the instructions and applying a chestnut sized amount onto my towel dried hair, prior to blow drying it.

I have been making sure that I only apply the product towards the length and ends of my hair – not on my scalp. I used just a blow dryer and a round brush to style my hair for the first time, after using this primer.

Once I was completely done drying my hair, I noticed that my hair still had some volume, and even some shine to it! It looked healthy and hydrated and there was so much less frizz than normal. I usually always have to flat iron my hair after blow drying it, because the ends still look terrible, and the frizz is out of control.

Not this time though! I was so shocked and surprised by the outcome. I would absolutely purchase this product and incorporate it to my hair care routine. I would recommend Kerastase Resistance Blow-Dry Primer for Damaged / Dry Hair to my friends and my family.

I received a BzzAgent sample product of the Kérastase Discipline Leave in treatment to try. The condition of my hair during the winter months can be a challenge. My curl /wave pattern is between a 2A and 2C with random coils.

My hair is thick and beyond mid back length, so in the winter months it’s more necessary to blow dry my hair. The texture of the leave in does not feel heavy, but I did need to use double of the amount instructed again for the length of hair that I have.

I found that the treatment did cut down on my blowdry time, so that is a bonus. Compared to other heat protecting, straightening products, the Kérastase leave in had my hair more manageable and less frizzy.

While not completely frizz free, styling my hair has been easier with less tangles. I’ll get myself another tube (if I run out before) when it gets warmer to see how well using this product performs air dried.

Air drying during the winter is not an option since my hair takes almost half a day, it’s just too thick.

Overall, I was not impressed with this product. A but of background info: 1. ) I have naturally curly hair and will use curling irons and straighteners to sytle my hair on occasion. 2. ) We have hard water in our home.

After using this product for both curly and straight hairstyles, I would not purchase this product or recommend to a ffriend. Pro 1. ) No noticeable scent to the product. (Pro for some people) Cons 1.

) My hair felt more static-y and rough than normal when using this product. 2. ) My hair was frizzy as soon as I finished my style. Normally, my hair is frizzy by the end of a day but this product didn’t help with my frizz in the beginning of the day at all.

3. ) This product has no noticeable scent. I prefer a light scent for my hair products. 4. ) After I began using this product, I’ve seen more acne pop up. Unfortunately, I just don’t think my skin or hair likes this one.

I was just repurchasing this product for the umpteenth time and figured that it was well past time that I shared my review because it is the best leave-in that I have ever used for my thick, frizzy hair.

In fact, this is the first leave-in that I have tried that has enabled me to blow dry my own hair and get salon-worthy results. It also does a great job softening and smoothing my hair when I don’t blow dry it.

You only need a small amount, but it completely smooths the feel of my hair in a way that I have never experienced before, and I have tried so, so, so many products. This was the first product in the Discipline line that I tried, and I loved it so much that I bought the matching Shampoo and Conditioner, and love them too! I tired and wasn’t impressed by the mask product, but the Shampoo, Conditioner, and Primer make my hair more soft, smooth, and manageable than I have ever experienced in my whole life! My hairstylist, who isn’t a Kerastase fan, touched my hair when I first started to use it and was amazed — and she was extremely surprised to hear that it was a Kerastase product that gave these results.

I can’t recommend this product and line highly enough. Give it a try if you’ve tried everything but haven’t gotten any noticeable results for frizz and softness. I would be devastated if they ever discontinued the Discipline line!.

I bought this because 2 stylists damaged my hair. One is a Paul Mitchell stylist, go figure huh? A Anyhow, this was in last desperation of hope and it did work for me thank you so much for making some thing that does work.

So much of my hair got damaged but it did start to break is very sad and wrong, first time that ever happened to me 🙁 But I’ve been using this every week twice a week sometimes and between the Beautiful scent & the way it feels on my hair makes me so much happier.

It has been the only product along with their shampoo to match That actually started to repair my hair it’s tolerable now sad to say but at least something worked. Thank you so very much again I will be back ;).

I have spent hundreds of dollars at Ulta on hair masks because I’m trying to save my thin damaged hair. I haven’t had much luck lately. Seems like all the masks lately have left my hair gooey and lifeless.

They help moisturize, but my hair looks like crud. After one use with this, I was so delighted to feel some bounce, shine, and silliness with my hair. It’s good stuff. Definitely my favorite mask right now.

I’ve been wanting to try Oribe for a while, and I was looking for something that would help with flyaways when I received this box. Needless to say, I was excited to try this out. First, the bad. I work in an industry where I can’t wear heavily scented products.

This cream doesn’t smell bad, but it is fairly strong so I have to be careful about how much I use. Second, which isn’t a real con as it’s to be expected with these products, it doesn’t last all day.

My flyaways do start popping up by the end. of the work day. It’s still better than nothing though, and I assume people without scent restrictions could just smooth more on after a few hours. Now for the good! The scent is pretty nice.

Not something I’d go for in a perfume, but it’s pleasant. I really like that this is a water-based silicone product rather than silicone-based because it’s easier to distribute throughout my hair. Straight silicone products make my hair filmy after a couple of days, but this one doesn’t.

It also does a decent job at smoothing my hair and reducing flyaways. It’s not a gel so it isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of adding shine and smoothness without making my hair look oily or requiring me to wash my hair more often.

If I need to use it multiple days in a row, I just put a small dab in my hand with some water, rub my hands together, and smooth it over my head the next days. I’d probably personally rate this a 4. 5/5 because of the scent being strong, but because it’s more of a personal issue than a fault of the product, I’ll give it 5/5.

I’ve been using this product for 2 weeks now so I feel like I’ve had adequate time to test it and give an honest review. So far, I’m loving what I’m seeing! I recently took my naturally dark brunette hair to a light blonde balayaged look and the bleaching and lightening process took a bit of a toll on my locks.

My hair was dry and brittle and, combined with the cold winter, suffered from split ends and a general lack of moisture. I religiously used this Oribe cream on my freshly washed hair (about 2-3 times a week) after I showered.

Worked a generous amount into my ends since my hair is pretty long. First of all, I love the smell. Minor point but I just love the salon smell of it. As for moisture, it definitely adds a good amount of moisture back into my thirsty hair.

The other big draw for me is that it controls crazy flyaways and frizz, which I seem to suffer from a lot more in the winter months. I’ll keep using this as part of my hair regimen and see what it does after a few more weeks of use, but I can say that I am liking what Im seeing so far.

My split ends look like they’re being repaired and my hair looks healthier in general, especially the bleached dried ends. Overall another win from Oribe.

My natural hair is very very fine, so normally I wouldn’t need a product like this. However, right now I have a bleached ombre look, and my hair is very dry at the ends. Since I’ve never really had to deal with this problem, I’ve been trying a few different solutions to find out what works best without weighing my hair down too much.

This product works GREAT for conditioning and moisturizing my dry ends! I only use a dime-sized amount on the lower 6-10 inches of my hair, and use a much more lightweight leave-in spray near the roots.

It works like a dream. My hair is practically as soft as its natural state! I would not, however, say it does too much for the naturally occurring frizziness when air drying. Nor have I tried it on dry hair.

The only thing that may keep me from purchasing more in the future is the high price tag. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

I’ve only tried it once, but they keep asking me to review so here goes. I put it on my hair dry just to play with it and see how well the color would show. The color is amazing, and I finally learned that silver is not for me.

lol The wax never dried in some spots, which could have been because I put it on too thick. I didn’t notice the flaking that some people have mentioned, but I did wash it out by the end of the next day.

Definitely need to be happy with your hairdo before it sets because no brush is going through your hair. Most of us with curly hair are probably used to at least sometimes throwing it up in a ponytail and letting it be chaos, though.

I might get more colors for Halloween or cosplays, but not something I’d try to use daily.

My pics using the red, blue and purple. I was surprised with the blue because it actually turned out turquoise which I loved even better, I think its because of my highlights 🤷‍♀️ I highly recommend this product, its safe and looks great.

People think I’m always at tge hair salon getting different colors 😄 when I’m just wearing Ashley Lee Cosmetics ❤💯 I love the red on me too, and will still wear it, but I found it to be the one that stains the most even after its dry ill put my hair up and my hands would be all red, so wearing white with rwd wasn’t a great idea, had to wash my visor and long sleeve because even though my hair was dry, it still stained on the white.

but it has been very humid out, so I think that can be the reason too. But definitely an Awesome product 💯🤗.

To start, if you don’t like the people that make long reviews, you won’t like me. Obviously, Overtone leaves my hair suuuuper soft, even though I use a flat iron about twice a week and use no products in my hair (maybe gel for flyaways).

The conditioner smells like mint a bit, the spearmint type where it’s minty but also sweet, and this is appreciated. I am sensitive to ammonia odors/ gases, so the whole box dye thing is no bueno for me.

I also threw up and passed out last time my mum dyed her hair (I wasn’t even in her house when it happened, it was after she dyed it), so scent affected me too. The color was tricky, but in this case, it worked out BEAUTIFULLY.

I am a dark blonde (I have one friend that says I’m brunette?), so color naturally is hard to hold in my hair (I do no pre-lightening, again, for the smells). I am also thick-haired, and I’m a curly gurly, so it’s hard to check and make sure that the dye is evenly distributed, etc etc.

The first time I used Overtone, it was the Extreme silver and Vibrant Purple. The Vibrant washed out in a week I think, and the color was hardly there to begin with. So, if you wanna skip the pre-lightening like me and only do color, DO THE EXTREME LINE, no vibrant 🙂 I am always happy with Overtone, and they’re making more of their packaging happy for the earth.

I would like more gloves when I buy dye, since it’s a bit hard to wash and reuse the gloves. Also, since I’ve no light hair, I do end up touching up my hair. every two weeks? And I wash my hair every three days.

Just a note for those who need numbers to work with.

So I got the red for brown hair and vibrant purple. I wanted a mulberry color. I was excited to try because all the reviews I read was how healthy their hair felt after – my hair has never felt worse.

It felt waxy and unclean. Maybe I didn’t wash it out well enough?? But I was pretty displeased at how my hair felt after rinsing the conditioner out. But as far as the color goes, it’s certainly vibrant.

I had dirty blonde roots and bleached ends. So I certainly got a heck of a lot of vibrancy with the blonde. I was semi disappointed as to how the color changed at my roots, after the first application you could certainly tell the difference, but after a few days (I only wash once a week) the color faded significantly, I was super surprised since no water, shampoo or conditioner had touched my hair.

So, for a fun color change – I’m totally for this. But I won’t be buying again – to maintain the color, you would absolutely need to apply the conditioner at least once a week.
