20 Best Hair Product For Humidity (2023 Updated)

I have thick, coily hair and the humidity is not my friend. I have used this spray multiple ways. When my hair is styled in a “natural” coily style, I use this spray to prevent the humidity frizz. It works very well! I normally apply it about 15 mins prior to going outside.

When my hair is straight, I use this in the morning. I do have to touch is up if I exercise outside, but it works very well. I only wash my hair once a week so using this multiple days a week can cause a little buildup and doesn’t apply the weightless experience everyday.

Most people wash more frequently so this shouldn’t be an issue.

This is hands down THE BEST PRODUCT EVER!!!! Miami has some unbearably high humidity levels and I’m telling you, this product is not phased by humidity. I don’t know what ingredient makes it work so well but this is literally magic.

My hair is naturally straight but it will frizz up is the weather is muggy. I just recently graduated college and our ceremony was outside due to covid my hair was pin straight on what was probably the hottest/ most humid morning ever.

It’s odd that I love this and am peeved by this at the same time. It has alcohol in it which you smell right away after spraying it on… almost smells like Aquanet. You think it would strip your hair but it doesn’t.

It does smooth your hair down quite well. I spray it on right before I apply Biolage’s leave in treatment and wrap my hair up for bed. In the morning, my long hair is hydrated and completely smooth all the way down to the ends.

And it smells like a tropical beach… who doesn’t love that?.

I have fine hair and live in a subtopical climate where humidity is high and the sun is almost always out. This provides UV protection and controls the majority of my frizz!! It’s light and doesn’t make my hair greasy and works instantly.

I also love that all Sun Bum products are high quality, clean and cruelty free. It also smells like I’m at the beach so win, win, win.

So I was at Ulta in need of a serum/anti frizz… so I bought this one. I’m definitely not a fan. The smell is super strong. 3 sprays and you’re gagging from the strong smell. It does work ok but the smell ruins the entire product.

Wayyyyy too strong for a hair product. It smells good but it’s TOO MUCH!!.

Not sure if it’s worth $42, but a decent product if you want to treat yourself to a luxury brand purchase. I live in the ungodly hot and humid southeast, and this hairspray did help with frizz, but I wish it had a bit more hold because my hair went a little limp halfway throughout the day.

I appreciate how this hairspray is lightweight and not sticky, but some hold would be nice since it is hairspray after all. The scent and packaging are nice like a high-end product, but I would expect better results for the price point.

This is not meant to replace your leave in conditioner or detangler whatsoever. This is a styling product and using it as anything other than that would be a huge mistake. This does add some hydration along with slight hold.

I always recommend allowing your hair to dry fully before touching it. This product saturates your hair really well and thus takes a while to dry. I always use a light hydrating mist leave in or very light creamy textured one.

I then apply this styling mousse and a hair oil. I allow to air dry and then I toss and fluff my curls. If you want a slight bit more hold I would suggest another product OR make your own simple flaxseed gel and mix both the mousse and gel.

This will give you defined, juicy curls. Pls keep in mind that flaxseed gel goes bad quickly so you have to keep in the fridge and use often. It’s super easy to make and worth the fridge cold gel feeling.

I usually only use hairspray when I have styling my natural curly hair for some extra hold. I have always used Aussie because of the smell and well I bought some in bulk so I have infinite. I also am a huge fan of mist and not spritz.

I will use hairspray sometimes when I am curling my hair with a iron to give it some extra hold especially if it’s day one of clean hair. I will say this is probably one of the best smelling hairsprays I have ever had and I like the smell WAY more than – Aussie.

I also like that it doesn’t make my hair crunchy or hard no matter how much I spray into it. However, the hold isn’t the best. I have thick curly hair naturally, so my curls have never had a problem holding with a wand or curling iron.

They still fall, but not fall out. One a day that I wash my hair, blow dry it with my hair dryer brush, and then curl it, my curls are deff not expected to hold that good so I usually use hair spray and some salt spray.

I’m use to using the maximum hold hairspray from Aussie so maybe that’s why. I am gonna continue to use this hairspray and monitor its hold more. If you just need a little bit of hair spray for the day and don’t want crunchy hair AND want your hair to spell AMAZING — then I highly recommend the purchase!.

I received this sample from Influenster for my honest review. To begin, my hair is type 1 and slightly on the dry side. It thin to medium, unprocessed and is fairly silky. For me, this worked okay, not great (although I’m not one to style my hair often).

It has a decent hold and decent humidity resistance. The crunch is expected for a firm hold so I did not mind it as long as it held my hair in place. For an average day, it held my hair for a few hours (not all day).

The smell is good, but I have a sensitive nose so the smell does linger on for quite a bit which I don’t particularly enjoy. One concern I do have is that I noticed a bit of a white residue on my hair with this.

I should mention, however, that my sister tried it and said she liked it and that it held her hair well. Her hair is denser and thicker than mine and closer to type 2A.

I have been trying the Freeze Fix Hairspray humidity-resistant hairspray with firm hold for a few weeks now, and I really like it. I think the hold is light. I have straight hair, so when I curl it, the freeze spray holds them for a few hours, and they just become very loose waves.

What I love about this product is that my hair doesn’t feel crunchy to the touch, and the scent is beautiful. I can’t stop smelling my hair after I use it. It makes me feel like my hair is clean, and I just came out of the hair salon.

It also helps control my frizzy hair and gives me some volume. Something that I have noticed is that I have to hold the bottle around 10 inches away. I get a white residue on my hair if I hold it closer.

This product is good if you are not looking for light hold, some volume, and a good hair scent.

WOW! So far I’ve been very impressed with Virtue and their Frizz Block Smoothing Spray is the creme de la creme of frizz prevention. I put this to the test on a recent trip to New Orleans. My wavy hair held up to that Louisiana summer humidity without skipping a beat! It doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it feel crunchy.

I decided to try the entire IGK Good Behavior line–the Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray, the 4-in-1 Prep Spray, and the Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Balm. The entire line smells great.

All three promise frizz-free smoothness, high shine, and heat protection. I also appreciate that these products are color safe and meant to prevent fading. Although the products make the same claims, each has a different delivery system.

Further, while all include spirulina protein, their headline ingredients differ but overlap. The smoothing spray is an aerosol, which comes out in a fine, easy-to-manage mist. It contains IGK’s “innovative bonding polymers,” which are meant to mimic a keratin treatment once you add heat.

I did notice a lot of shine and less frizz (although my hair is not terribly frizzy). The 4-in-1 prep spray is similar to a spray on, leave-in conditioner–the spray is less fine than the aerosol and comes out in bigger drops.

This feels the least precise of the three, as you have less control over where it “lands. ” That said, you can work it through to get more or less the same coverage. This is the only of the the products that does not include IGK’s “innovative bonding polymers,” although it does include coconut oil for detangling and extra shine.

Finally, the balm is a balm that you squeeze onto you hand and then work through your hair. It also contains IGK’s “innovative bonding polymers,” as well as shea butter. Of the three, I liked the balm best–it contained the polymers and a moisturizing oil, and I could get the product exactly where I wanted.

It was also the only product promising 72- vs. 24-hour frizz control. My second favorite is the smoothing spray, which offered a lot of shine and minimized frizz, but was the least moisturizing. I was surprised that my “least” favorite of the three was the prep spray.

That said, all three are excellent products that I would rate five stars, so pick your poison!.

When Influenster asked if I wanted to try IGK products in exchange for my honest feedback I jumped for the chance as I had read great things about it on magazines and seen great things online. Like I had said before on the other Good Behavior products, I have been trying all 3 of them.

Now this Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray definitely does not disappoint. You have to give it a try if you want shiny, smooth hair. More like strat from a salon finish style.

My mom and I love it how our hair comes out after flat ironing it. It totally does look like a keratin treatment. Beautiful for sure. It leaves our hair frizz free also. It comes out with a nice fine mist and a wonderful smell like citrus vanilla or something but really pleasant for sure.

Another thing I like is that our hair with different textures and lengths looks great after styling, it last and never greasy. Oh am almost forgoting to mention one of my favorite things and it’s the Spirulina Protein that helps strengthen and nourish our hair.

So it is a heat protector that also strengthen, it’s great! I am for sure continue to buy these again.

I absolutely LOVE this product!! Especially when combined with a natural boar bristle brush *chefs kiss* My hair stays STRAIGHT, SMOOTH, SLEEK, SOFT, and MOVEABLE for days!!!! Even if I try to use an iron to curl my hair after using this product + a straightener — it will stay stick straight with this product until I wash it.

I used to have dry, frizzy, coarse, lifeless hair with split ends sometimes up to 3 inches long. After 4 years of growth, my hair was down to my hips so I was afraid to cut it (I should have been trimming it but I did not).

This product is so good, it even helped me mask all that damage! (Of course I eventually improved my hair care, then finally cut all the split ends off. ) Now my boyfriend and I both use this. He has loose curls but struggled with frizz, so I forced him to try this.

He ended up consistently buying his own cans because it works so well. It’s the holy grail that keeps our hair completely smooth. Also. This might be obvious. but if your hair gets wet and you’re moving around a lot (in my case it’s from sweating, since I am a dancer), your hair may frizz and curl again, so the smaller one to have on hand is nice so you can spray your hair again.

For dance shoots, I respray my just brush with a boar bristle brush in between and occasionally respray (maybe every half/full hour or so).

Long time Tigi product user. Love most of their pfoducts. Well, first off, let me say that I purchased this thinking it was a hair spray. I even asked the ladies at the front counter if it was, and I was told that it was.

I know you all are thinking “read the bottle lady”. Well, the print is do dang tiny, there was no way I could read it, therefore, relying on the staff at Ulta. That being said, I looked up how to use the product.

I do have hair that is frizzy, so I wasn’t completely discouraged when I read the product description and use. I sprayed a small amount on the ends where it tends to be the worst. It works pretty good.

Smell is ok. Just be careful how much you use.

I love using this spray after straightening or styling my natural hair to tame any frizz or add shine to my hair. I love using this instead of adding oil when my hair is a little dry because most oils weigh down my hair and I have to wash it out in order to style my hair again.

With this, my hair lasts until the next wash day and still looks good! It is so inexpensive at my local hair store compared to retail shops!.

The hairspray did not work for my hair in the humidity; maybe it’s according to the hair texture. My hair is of a course texture. The hairspray does have a nice smell. I would recommend if it was sold in a smaller can but $15 is too much just to see if it works for your hair-type.

I think it’s a good quality for the hair it works on and $15 is not a good value for a can of hairspray.

This product is horrible. I used the wonderful original formula years ago. I stopped when I went solely organic. When I decided to add Mizani Shyne back into my hair routine, I discovered the formula change.

I tried another brand, which was ok, then decided to try the new Mizani. It was a HUGE mistake. It smells weird, kind of like bad fruit mixed with chemicals. The alcohol content is so high it literally burned my throat once I breathed after spraying.

It’s tacky and made my hair feel stiff and lifeless. It made my hair bulky with very little body. Avoid this product like the plague.

I have been natural since 2008, and this is the ONLY Humidity spray that works on natural straightened hair. My hair type is 4a with fine strands, so I frizz at the thought of humidity PLUS I live in Georgia.

I cannot use heavy products on my hair because it will become weighed down. I always spray this on my straightened hair when the humidity is high or when there is the threat of rain and this spray has NEVER failed me.
