20 Best Guitars For Big Hands (2023 Updated)

I’ve waited quite some time before writing this review as I wanted to base it on sufficient experience. I bought this guitar in Sept 2021 (6 months ago. ). Acoustically it is gorgeous. Its plays and sounds incredible.

I was planning to gig with it regularly but that became problematic. When I plug it in it has two problems. The output signal is very weak even at full volume. I have another guitar with a K&K pure mini pickup (which is passive) and it has WAY more signal than the Taylor with the ES2.

The second problem is that it sounds very harsh. not natural at all. I have adjusted the pickups per Taylor’s instructions and it did not fix either problem. I can adjust the parametric EQ on our board and improve the sound somewhat, but it is still less than satisfactory.

I called Taylor and they didn’t seem to be interested in helping beyond telling me how to adjust the pickups. very disappointing. I am not the only one that has had this experience. If you google it (or search on YouTube) you’ll find plenty of people that have had the same problem with the Taylor Expression 2 System.

After spending this much money I had much higher expectations. I now have to spend even more money to buy an after market pickup and have it installed.

I sold my lifelong Taylor 814ce to pay college tuition five years ago. It was like losing a part of my body. After some time, I bought a Taylor 814ce again. At SamAsh in Manhattan, I was able to compare and play various Taylor guitars.

The 814ce also had great balance and a warm sound. I love the body finish of the newly designed Taylor 814ce. I will be with this guitar for the rest of my life. Thank you to the staff who kindly explained to me and made me happy.

Bought this guitar based on a recommendation from the luthier at my local GC in Johnson City, NY. Also, because I’m pretty fond of Taylor’s; owning 3 others besides this one. That said, this guitar is gorgeous with a finish as smooth as silk.

The quality is obvious and it’s voice will blow you away, especially with the soundport cutaway. Whether strumming, playing some riffs or fingerpicking, it rewards you with an almost surround sound sensation.

Finally, I have to say it again, it’s a gorgeous instrument and it’s easy to play.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this guitar as I usually play electric. This is a beautiful guitar both in appearance and sound. It has a very comfortable neck to play. The stock strings that came on it don’t even need changing and are of high quality.

Sure there are cheaper electro acoustics but I bet they are not of the quality of this instrument. If your bothered about what the head stock says Alvarez is a well renowned company with certain models built in Japan.

This Chinese built model was perfect out the box I may get the action lowered slightly but that’s a personal preference. PMT where the cheapest for this guitar by a good amount so a bargain also.

Bought this model to get back to playing after a bad accident stopped me playing at a time when I owned a seriously expensive guitar. Didn’t want to spend too much in case I couldn’t get back into playing but I can’t praise this guitar too highly.

The tone is outstanding and it’s playability is second to none. The guitar is set up perfectly, no need to have it set up at your expense as with a lot of guitars out there. The build quality is superb and as it sits it the stand encourages you to get it off and play it.

This model belies the price you pay because in my opinion it it a 400 to 500 pound guitar in all respects. It is delivered ‘mummified’ in bubble wrap to ensure safe passage and was delivered as promised.

I bought this guitar as an “entry level” to acoustic-electric guitars and have had it for over a year. It’s so comfortable that I play it daily and always enjoy the experience. It has surprisingly good action for a not-too-expensive guitar The on-board tuner is fantastic as are the 3 bands of EQ.

The “Presence” is a nice addition as well. It’s my favorite guitar to just sit around and practice on. I run it through a 20-watt Acoustic brand amplifier most of the time and the sound is “large” and balanced.

If you’re looking for a great, inexpensive and fun guitar that is always fun to play, this is it. For the record, I have a Martin 12-string, but this is my “go to” guitar for daily practice, love it.

Low expectations considering this is a very low end Fender and for the price even came with a hardshell case. Was pleasantly surprised. Fit and finish is excellent. Very easy to play, it feel great. Sounds surprisingly good.

With a good strongly strummed chord, it projects well, no buzzing at all. Played softly it still sounds good. Neck is as straight as it should be, feels smooth and uniform along the fret board edges, no sharp frets.

And all the wood looks really nice. Looks like a standard issue Fender case too, decent enough quality. Really hard to find fault with it.

Bought this LH Fender because I wanted an acoustic. Overall the sound is good with the right strings. Within 3 weeks of purchase I had to have the neck adjusted and frets filed because they were inset too high.

The sound overall is bright and vibrant. Had a couple times playing where the sound was not the best. Overall, it’s a solid entry level guitar. Could be better but could be far worse.

A beautiful guitar with a wonderful tone, it was sent with a relatively good action. There were some finish issues in the one I ordered that I will have to correct so I can’t give it a perfect review, but this is a really good guitar for the price.

Had I payed full price (I got it on sale for 100) I would have been very upset with the finish flaws and probably sent it back for a replacement. That being said, it sounds and plays beautifully.

I play electric more than acoustic, so I never went out and bought an acoustic/electric. I’ve been playing on an early 80’s Epiphone acoustic for years around the house. Don’t get me wrong, for an old Epi with a set of elixirs it sounded pretty good.

I went in to GC and played the Taylor 114ce, I couldn’t put it down. Now most Taylor enthusiasts may look down on this “intermediate/entry level” guitar due to the fact that the walnut back and sides are “layered/laminate”, but I tried several higher end Taylor’s and the 114ce still held strong in my opinion at a much lower price point.

I like the matte finish over the gloss. I wish the 114 had a tortoise pick guard as found on the 214, but that could easily be replaced. The gig bag could stand to have a little more padding, but it serves as a glorified dust cover at the end of the day.

If you’re searching a sub $1k Guitar, I would definitely recommend adding a test drive of the 114ce. I’m playing through a Fender Acoustic 200 and absolutely love it. Give the Fender Acoustic 100 or 200 a try when you’re testing out the 114ce.

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I’m still learning to play. I had $150 guitar previously that was difficult to play and it really hindered my progress because there was nothing I could seem to do to conquer barre chords. I picked up this guitar and could instantly play them! I was blown away.

I bought my first guitar based on appearance. I told myself with my next guitar I was going to buy based on playability and sound and not get hung up on the aesthetics. My goal was to get an instrument that made me want to play.

This guitar is just that! The front side of this guitar is indeed very plain but the back side is beautiful with the layered walnut. I also notice a sound quality difference between the layered walnut and the previous versions layered sapele backs.

To my ears the new layered walnut has a more balanced tone and the bass is more pronounced. I hope to eventually upgrade again but overall this is a great guitar especially for someone learning and looking for a guitar that is easy to play.

The Taylor brand has definitely won me over!.

I’m a former professional musician, but these days I play decks, docks, and bonfires with a bunch of buddies. One day, I went with a buddy to GC who needed strings for his acoustic. Of course we had to try a few acoustics for the fun of it.

He pulled this thing off the wall, played one chord and we both stopped in our tracks. He left with strings and I left with this guitar. Off the wall, it played like a dream and had booming sound. Playing with friends at our usual casual jams sessions, I have to consciously back off otherwise, I drown out the others.

This this has great tone and is loud. I’m looking for “guest” guitar for visitors to use while at my place, but am now seriously considering a second one of these. At this price, I’m not finding anything that stands up to this boomer.

I wanted a nylon string guitar, and was not looking for an electric acoustic. When I found this with the electronics and nylon stings and the cut away at such a good price I took a chance and bought it.

I’m glad I did. The built in tuner is not the greatest but the pickup seems very sensitive and the volume control works throughout the entire range from low to high. The body is not too thick but the guitar still has a nice resonance and the nylon strings ring out well when not plugged in.

Construction seems fine to me, with no glaring seams, where wood is joined together. The joint of the neck and body is well done The neck is a comfortable width, not too thick and the bridge seems nice and strong.

the top on Mine is more of a wine color not like the orangish pic on the site. The body is a sort of walnut brown with decent grain. 5 stars for price, workmanship, and features.

For a “flawed” item, it is hard to ascertain any notable flaws. The couple of minor ones have no effect on appearence or play-ability! Added a Planet Waves O-Port and the guitar now sustains wonderfully! Bass note were clear as were the trebles.

The addition of the O-Port made mids come alive and the bass resonate, while the trebles becane crystal! All notes and strings were good before, but after the clarification makes this sound like a $600.

00 classic! Solid construct, and while the clear coat is thick it is not distracting from the beauty of the guitar. The cutaway makes all frets easily reachable as well. Action set up is nicely decent.

Minor fret buzz when finger-style hard plucked, but that is good for Flamenco style! A truss rod, while unusual on classicals is a decent touch and may, or may not add to the sustain, which is good. Some complain of the “orange” color, but I find it normal after playing a Conn classical for the last 44 years! Needs a new fret board and frets, but may just retire it now that Washburn has provided such a good replacement! Acoustically this sounds very good, and amp’ed is remarkable for the price point! The electronics are very good, if slightly simple (no tone control and limited volume use).

Tuner is very good and highly accurate. If you buyone of these, and I recommend it, also get a Planet Waves O-Port by D’Addarrio for less than $20 bucks and plan to be amazed by what you hear! Thanks to Washburn and this seller for such a well made value! Get this guitar fiends, you will not be sorry I believe.

So I was looking to get the Ibanez GA35TCE or This Washburn classical guitar. Acoustically both guitars are nice except that the Ibanez was a bit flat from G-E nylon strings. It also had a buzz in the bridge that I did not like however the electrics of the Ibanez were flawless, clean and no hum or hiss.

Now the Wshburn, the guitar is a beautiful guitar, nice finish and well made. Acoustically the tone is clearer and more balanced throughout all 6 strings compared to the Ibanez. The ibanez probaby could do with better quality strings to fix the flat sound issue.

The Washburn has very good sustain and resonance such that at times other strings start resonating and dirtying the sound – especially when playing solo sections. This may be fixed with a new set of higher end strings which I will chnage after I use the ones that came with it or changing the bridge and nut to graphtech.

Maybe I’ll switch in the future. The electrics are ok. The electric pickup reporoduced the guitar sound pretty well except that there is a lot of Hiss with the BBand system. The pickup has treble, mid and bass EQ plus a presence knob where you can mold the tone as youplease.

It also has a built in tuner that work well. So I sent back the Ibanez and kept the Washburn. The tonal character was much better. If the ibanez goes as a SDOTD sale dirt cheap I will pick it up just because of the cleaner pickup system.

This guitar is great. I’ve had no real qualms with it so far, albeit I’ve only had it since April 1st. I used to play about a decade ago, but life happened and I stopped playing consistently. I bought a Jasmine S34-C about a month back to start up playing again, but it didn’t revitalize my love for guitar quite like this one did.

I had only played an acoustic before up until I picked up this GK Studio. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. The ebony/gold tuning keys look very refined and the guitars “negra” or black style looks sooooo good.

The contrast between the lighter and darker colors does a lot for me. The sound(for me) is just right. Not too soft, but not excessively punchy. I am not someone to perform at gigs as I’ve only ever played at home, but this guitar definitely has made me want to give it my all and try new things! When things finally get back to 100% here in the states I’ll be giving this guitar a shot at a few spots.

I’ve seen a few reviews online that suggest that this is a great gig guitar as well and has a great sound when plugged in so I can’t wait to try that out even more so! The only (minor)thing I can think of that I would call a “con” is the Fishman tuner built onto the side of the guitar.

I have not had a chance to test out the different options when it is plugged into an amp, but the on-hand guitar tuner setting can be a bit fidgety at times. Its not anything severe as I usually just tune by ear, but I personally only use it for a guide to get back to standard when I’m done messing about with other alt.

tunings. I wouldn’t say it docks a star from this review, but its just something to look out for if anyone is wondering about it.

Pretty decent quality acoustic for this price. Of course you can find minor imperfections along the edge trim of the body and where the nut is glued to the neck, as well as poorly sanded internal bracing and the edges of the pickguard, but that’s if you really sit there and look for them.

More importantly the finish is great where it really counts, I. e. edges of frets, fingerboard, bridge etc. Overall for a budget guitar made in Indonesia it’s fairly well crafted. Good playability and action, the resonance of the body is decent enough, and plugged in it sounds even better thanks to Fishman electronics.

Comes with a 2 band EQ and a pretty intuitive built-in tuner. And all mahogany version with satin finish looks spectacular.

The Big Baby Taylor is not quite full-sized but has a big sound for a small guitar. It is a 15/16-scale Dreadnought, according to Taylor, and it is approximately the size of a 000 guitar. The the back is bowed and it has an open finish which contribute to how loud it is.

The neck is thin and when the action is properly adjusted, this guitar plays easily and sounds good. I find that the action is sensitive to temperature and/or humidity changes and I have adjusted the truss rod several times to compensate.

This could be a quirk of this specific guitar, or it might be a function of the bolt-on neck of this model. P. S. I had a luthier add a shim under the neck and that greatly improved the action. Sadly, I sold this guitar and would be happy to acquire another one.

I bought this from here yesterday afternoon and had it sent overnight delivery. It just came in this morning and to be quite honest, I am in awe ! I’m 58 years old and have been playing for over 45 years with the emphasis on solely Acoustic for close to 2 years now and I have to say that even though this is a less expensive Taylor, the quality and sound of it could easily pass for that of a instrument that costs at least twice as much, maybe more.

When I got it in, it was already set up nicely without having to make any adjustments at all. That alone, is a sign of top notch guitar making. The neck is easy and fast on my middle aged hands and the Spruce solid top give out tones with sustain that ring through nice and clear with plenty of volume to share.

Did I also mention that this guitar stays in tune forever and that the added gig bag is also top notch as well ? So what if it’s made in Mexico ? I don’t have a problem with that and nor the fact that there are two screws in the neck either.

I love this guitar and after playing this, I just can’t see myself playing anything else. I’m now a confirmed Taylor fan. Thanks Musicians Friend for not only a great guitar but also for the outstanding customer service as well !.

I will qualify my opinion by sharing with you my backround as a Luthier and repairman for Guild, Ovation (R&D for Adamus prototype) & Augustino LoPrinzi. Love the sound. Around the 1 yr point the neck twisted.

The bass side is fine, the treble side has a rise from frets 10-15 that becomes a challenge with some of the open tunings I use. Tuned to concert pitch, the challenge is minimized but doesn’t stand up to aggressive flat-picking without fret buzz.

Taylors chief repairman tells me I need to change the gauge of individual strings for the different tunings I use to replicate the string tension of concert pitch (A=440hz). In other words, I would need a different guitar for every different tuning I use.

Your on your own with your decision to speculate on neck behavior. Its like a Strat neck with a neck pocket held on with drywall screws (2). Taylor is very innovative with their body bracing engineering.

Sapelle plywood sounds sublime. They did not brace the back of the guitar along with the solid Sitka top produces incredible overtone production and sustain. They have that guitar body exceptionally dialed in.

The neck and it’s attachment design is the risk. Good Luck!.

Not the guitar I originally wanted. Between delivery problems and finding out what I had ordered was junk. So I did a weeks worth of checking out guitars on-line. I got the choice down to two that were in stock at my local Guitar Center.

I decided to trade in the last guitar I was left with after months of. delays. I knew I would lose some money on the deal, but I hated that guitar. So at guitar center I told the guy was I was thinking about, and said if he had any other options I was willing to look.

He took me right over to the Taylor 114e (my first choice) I saw my second choice and asked the guy about that one. “Not bad” he said, “But wait till you see this Taylor”. He told me that they had just unpacked it that morning so nobody has had any time to do a set-up.

He handed me the guitar and I tried some bar chords; easy to play and the neck was perfect (right out of the box) This guitar is at the high end of their lower priced guitars, but the quality is excellent.

My main guitar is a Martin and this Taylor doesn’t had the same sound as the Martin, it’s brighter. The more I play it, the more I really enjoy it. It really does have a nice sound, just realizing it’s just a different guitar with it own beautiful voice.

Oh!!. and the case. WOW!!. It’s not a hard shell, but it’s close. Way more than just a gig bag. Which makes this an excellent choice for the money. Also I love the Maple neck, like on my Strat.

excellent finish; has perfect mass; great size for playing hours; sound is excellent not as loud as dread but no slouch; pickup is 10/10; use martin stings; hold tune very well changes are prolly caused by temp and humidity; only personal complaint is pick guard needs better design caused some waffling on the southside by bridge; have about 600-1000 hours playing it; earned my keep now d28 is on the way.

This guitar has the feel of a “Grand” instrument, and the full body (slightly larger than average and without the cutaway), does make a worthwhile difference. Thought I would enjoy the sound and feel of an “American” type acoustic instrument, and I am not disappointed.

I didn’t need the electronics, but glad I have them. Delivered on time and in perfect condition. Richard Jackson.

Probably not the most well known brand, in fact definitely not the most well known brand, Rogue more than makes a valid effort to deliver a quality product. I’m not the only one I know with one of their guitars and while you’d be hard pressed to fairly compare it to say a Fender, well, that’s not really who their trying to compete with.

Rather instead their trying to target those on a budget who want a brand that at least a few, in the music world, have heard of. Ok, if you can afford a minimum of $150-$200 for say a Yamaha guitar then by all means do so.

If you’re budget is under a $100 and your still hoping for an at least semi decent guitar, then given what the price is you really should be impressed. Do be careful tightening the strings during your first time tuning it.

It’s still a budget guitar and it isn’t quite up to the same level as others. It’s again just the best in the budget priced category. This review is also transferable to pretty much any Rogue brand guitar.

But I don’t have the time to write that many reviews. But still, if you got this guitar as a gift or are considering it then don’t worry too much about it. For the price they simply can’t be beat.

I was very excited to see and play a highly reviewed 12 string that costs pennies compared to my 12 string Takamine, Yamaha and Ibanez. Once I got through the box I saw the guitar had the look of some cheap pressed wood.

The sound was as weak as a cup of Finnish coffee. The darn thing couldn’t stay in tune to save mine or its life. How this guitar gets rated so highly MUST be a result of fake reviewers OR I simply got the ONE Rogue 12 string that seemed to be made by the Fisher-Price Company.

This is NOT a musical instrument. It IS an instrument to make noise with. My edition was not worthy of the effort one has to put forward to learn and play guitar. One must have to have an instrument meet the musician at least half-way.

With this “musical” instrument, you have to cross the block, pick the guitar up and fight against it to produce close to a tone that sounds musical. Best to buy a used good name 12 string guitar. Or save your pennies and get a Takamine or Yamaha.

The latter will be excellent and cost in the $350 range. But a Yamaha will play forever and stay in tune. I recommend my Yamaha over my ash Ibanez. The former just has a fuller tone. If possible save for the Takamine which is on another guitar plane altogether.

But don’t buy a guitar based on price and/or name. I’ve discovered many of the friends I play with can’t tell if their singing and/or playing is in tune!!. And yet, they own $5,000 MARTIN GUITARS!! Haha.

Quite simply a waste of money. Be like me buying a red-green “masterpiece” oil painting, as I’m red-green color blind. But I DO have a good ear and this Rogue of a guitar is worthy of no one’s money or effort.

M. F. has many more-though more expensive-options that will bring the performer YEARS if not DECADES of playing happiness. Only misery lies in a 12 string Rogue guitar. Avoid.

I really wanted to like this guitar. It is very pretty, and affordable. But that is about where it ends. The neck is just a wee too narrow for a 12 string. In my opinion, the tuners are a bit too close together for normal sized fingers.

Yes. You can use a mechanical tuner/crank; but the beginner guitarist (who I think this is more geared toward) is probably not going to be using that. I have been playing for over 30 years, and I still tune by hand.

The action is just okay. When I initially began to tune the guitar (right out of the box), the bridge began to separate from the body and pull away. This should NOT happen – especially on a brand new instrument.

This could have easily ended with an injury to the hands or face. The bridge should have been reinforced. This was just not the case here. It’s possible I got a fluke. But this was enough to make me wary of this brand – and can be the type of thing that makes someone new to the guitar turn away.

This is considered an entry level guitar, and comes in at an entry level price point. But quality shouldn’t be compromised because of a price tag. Again, it’s a very pretty guitar. It just needs (in my opinion) a little more QC and a little bit of refinement.

I am not a professional musician as it is not my vocation but I have played many years and at a very high technical level. I mostly play steel string acoustic but own nylons and have played them many times.

I played this guitar for 5 minutes and that was that. It is incredibly responsive great tone deep basses because of the rosewood and surprising loud for a shallow very light guitar. Sound great plugged in too.

The neck is much more friendly to the acoustic or electric player than a traditional classical guitar where your hand may feel “dwarfed” by the fret spacing. Not to mention the guitar is gorgeous. Well worth the money.

I was so ready to buy this guitar. I couldn’t find one locally, so I drove out of town about 45 miles away. They had one. I knew about the crack at the input jack, so the first thing I did was to look for the crack.

There it was. This is not an isolated case. There are several reviews online about the crack at the input jack. There are several used ones for sale, stating that there is a crack at the jack. If not for that flaw in the design that causes them to crack, I would have bought it by now.

Otherwise, it does sound GREAT! Not all sound the same. You have to try them out before buying. The one with the crack did not sound as good as another one I fell in love with. I’m not knocking Cordoba guitars.

I’m just pointing out the flaw in this one. I own the Cordoba Fusion Natural and it sounds good. I also will be buying the Cordoba “Mini” soon.

This is a phenomenal instrument for its price. It looks, plays, feels, and sounds like a far more expensive guitar it is worth every cent. After getting this guitar I simply don’t find any of my other acoustic guitars to be on par with this one.

Playing this is effortless the size is perfect the best thing about this guitar though is that it produces an amazing warm tone that is surprisingly Loud for its size. Lastly the woods, hardware and electronics on the hellcat are amazing quality and again this thing looks, sounds, and feels like a guitar that cost a couple thousand dollars not 450.

Can’t recommend it enough it is my daily acoustic guitar now.

I purchased this Tim Armstrong Hellcat guitar recently at the Nashville Guitar Center and I’m so grateful the salesman showed it to me! It sounds great both acoustically and plugged in via the Fishman pickup system (I use a Fishman loud box mini).

The solid mahagony top gives it a warm sound. It is an extremely comfortable guitar to play from the concert body size, which makes it easy on the shoulders, to the neck which feels a lot the one on my Big Baby Taylor (which has a soft C shape).

I find it very seamless to switch between those guitars because of this. The Fender is perhaps slightly thicker but to me the difference is very subtle. The only thing I changed in the guitar was I put on a set of Light Curt Mangan Fusion Matched Coated Strings 11-52, which I have on all of my acoustic guitars I primarily use the Tim Armstrong it for fingerstyle, which it excells at, though it’s great when using a flat pick as well Lastly, it’s extremely aesthetically pleasing instrument with a lot of extra touches, from the binding to the inlays (I like the arched cats, the skulls are not my thing but I embrace the humor in them being so not me!), which is always a nice bonus!!.

So far, so good. The guitar was shipped to me and arrived in pristine condition. It’s gorgeous to look at and the sound is just what I wanted. Very warm and resonant. I’m not a small person, but I wanted something a bit more compact to get my arms around and learn on but didn’t want anything too bright sounding.

This fits the bill perfect for me. I did want to say, I was looking for a guitar that was made in the USA, and while Guitar Center has its country of origin as USA, this was manufactured in China. If that is important to you, you may want to keep searching.

An excellent guitar regarding craftsmanship, aesthetics, playability, setup and tone. Usually, I must tinker with the action, intonation, pick-up height and maybe change the strings and file on a fret or two before I’m happy but this was excellent right out of the box.

The Fender vibrato is too coarse for me (I don’t do nose dives); I’ll install a Floyd Rose for a more subtle, sensitive touch. The potentiometers ooze quality and, as promised, the pickups generate that “strat” sound without the noise.

The tapped humbucker is a delight; the switch feels solid and provides positive feedback of its on/off status. I immediately noticed the slick finish on the neck; my hand glided up and down with seemingly no friction at all.

The neck morphs from a D shape at the body to a C shape at the head which initially puzzled me; however, after playing it for a while I am impressed with the comfort and playability of the neck design.

The contours of the body are well thought out making the guitar easy and comfortable to play. The case is tough with a plush interior and the kit includes quick release strap locks if you want to use them, a really nice neck adjustment tool and a couple of hex wrenches.

When I started playing guitar, I wouldn’t have noticed or appreciated all of the design nuances packed into this guitar but, as a seasoned player, I think Fender has really stepped up their game with this one.

Recording, practicing, playing out. Purchased at a music store, so tried it, fell in love, and brought it to a new forever home. Those people who were helping me choose had several acoustics for me to try.

Once this 322ce got into my hands, I couldn’t put it down. I might have passed up some other really nice instruments that I never tried, but I know this is the perfect guitar for me, hands down. Something about the tone and the feel of this guitar.

And being a 4’10” female, the size of this guitar with several unusual features (like the classical appearance of the headstock and the neck joining at the body at the 12th fret, for instance), makes this guitar look like Taylor custom-built this beautiful instrument to my specs.

For 57 years, I’ve been playing some REALLY nice guitars, including another cherished Taylor, that were built with larger people in mind-it was all just the way it was. until I discovered this beauty.

Actually, the smaller size and fast fret board took some getting used to. I’m already accomplished in my self-taught, bluesy, fingerpicking style, but this guitar has demanded me to step up to another level of playing, and not only is my playing even more precise, I am tackling material I never thought of learning before.

This guitar is just that much fun. Just what I was looking for without knowing it at the time. I’ve had this beauty for about two months now, and I guess for the sake of the tone and playability of my other guitars, I should quit abandoning them.

But it’s going to be hard because everything about this new one is addictive. It sounds so beautiful, I was drawing a small crowd in the store while trying it out. Yes, THAT beautiful. Thank you, Taylor!.

After visiting my local Sam Ash in Huntington and playing this guitar numerous times, I finally pulled the trigger. It’s not easy dropping close to 3 grand on a guitar. Loved it in the store but now that I have it home, I am amazed at the sounds that come out of this guitar.

It’s is big sounding guitar with the right amount of brightness and a warmth. The sustain is beautiful. The fretboard and all finishes are impeccable and very well thought out, right down to the black nut.

Sounds great plugged into my Fender Accoustasonic amp. This is a big guitar and anyone looking to invest in a beautiful instrument that will make you want to keep picking it up should consider one. Whatever type of player you are, this guitar will keep you playing for hours on end.

I’ve been rocking my RG for years, and wanted an acoustic guitar I can go wherever with and not stress about. I’ve always liked Ibanez, and this guitar is a new reason why. For an entry level model this thing plays like a dream.

Needed a little adjustment on the truss rod, but the awesome team in Eugene adjusted it to perfection. Sound is great for entry level. Playability is surprisingly good. The electronics are a great option, and function perfectly.

Can’t say enough good things about this guitar, or the staff at the Eugene Oregon store.

There are hundreds of reviews on this guitar, of course some good and some bad. The good reviews (4-5 stars) far out number the rest. Although I’ve read some really, really bad ones. I suppose every guitar maker churns out a turd on occasion when mass producing affordable beginner (read inexpensive) guitars.

I can only tell you about my particular guitar. It is fantastic, it’s beautiful, sounds amazing (plugged in and acoustic), plays amazingly well, stays in tune, the tuners are smooth and work as you would expect on a much more expensive guitar.

The neck is perfect, the action is great (Martin MA540 Authentic Acoustic Light strings 0. 054-0. 012). I haven’t a single complaint I can’t say whether the quality has gone up or down in the last few years.

Mine is an earlier production model about 10 years old. They’re relatively common , You can find a nice used one locally in most cities for under $150. That way you can play and give it a thorough inspection before you buy it.

Check your local Guitar Center, try it, return it if you don’t like it, my bet is you will love it.

So it has a built in tuner and the manual that came with the guitar basically just gives you a warning not to play close to your head in case a string breaks, and too keep it away from sun light, humidity, etc.

So I wanted the electronic pickup pre-installed, and the price was right for this guitar. As others have suggested it sounds amazing. Family or friends your quarintined with may think you’ve been playing awhile and they may think it is a top end guitar too.

It’s got a beautiful tone, and I am a finger pricker (don’t use a pick). I’ve always wanted a guitar and my wife knows how to play, and while we are REALLY stuck inside this helps pass the time, to express yourself.

Some of the frets are really sharp on the side so be careful. The finish is also very beautiful. I have guitar pedals I use on my synths and I used them on this and wow it takes it to another level. Tremelo, chorus, space echo, flanger, reverb all sound really cool.

Can’t wait to purchase a guitar audio out to midi to have a synth play along.
