20 Best Guitar Amp Speaker Cable (2023 Updated)

This a review of the Boss speaker cable that I recently purchased on line. These speaker cables are of excellent quality, and are very well made. My only criticism is that the cables themselves are not marked with the words “speaker cable”.

The service from Better music was great, I received the cables in just a few days.

I had no idea that a speaker cable of similar guage to other cables I’ve been using would show a marked improvement in sound for my wonderful vox valvetronic 120 head / ad412 setup, but it did. The two five foot cables (takes two, stereo amp / stereo cabinet) created a richer sound and enhanced sustain, what more can you ask from a cable.

I wanted a good, solid speaker cable. Though I haven’t put it through any on-the-road abuse yet, it certainly seems up to the task, with good-quality plugs and a strong, flexible cable jacket.

I was looking for a short speaker cable to attach my Orange Micro Terror to its matching PPC108 cab. This cable was perfect for the job. It allows you to put the amp right on top of the cab, or to move it further away without having yards of cable to manage or trip over.

The construction is sturdy, and the label “Speaker” is built into the heat shrink right by both plugs to prevent disastrous confusion.

Earlyer i purchased a orange micro amp, but didnt have speaker cab. So i soldered a jack on a old 15 inch base speaker from the 60s. Used the cord to connect amp to speaker. Great sound, little amp really drives that big speaker.

Buy and Return if you are not impressed. Musicians Friends Customer Service is A+ so listen and regret you paid more for Cables that over promise and under deliver. Great construction for the price point with durable Jacks and nice moulding for hands when inserting and removing from my Amp Head to the Speaker Cabinet.

My home stereo consists of have a Tube Amp (Sonic Frontiers SF 80), Conrad Johnson Mosfet Pre Amp and have spent big bucks for speaker cables and interconnects and have heard the difference between brands.

A total pleasure to spend much less for so much more. I use this to connect from my late 80’s Marshall Mosfet Lead 100 to the Blackstar Cabinet and the input jacks for both create a very solid, tight connection.

I bought the short 5 foot cable with the belief that less is more when it comes to Cables. The Jacks, Cable construction inspire confidence in longevity when breakdown and set up. I will buy another set for my other gear.

I have used these cables for a few years and not one problem . I will continue to purchase and use these cables until there is a issue not to . But I don’t think that will ever be a problem .

Heavy Duty Cable; Larger than other 14’s ( Durable / will made ) but Has a softer pliable, more / as workable feel as other 14,s that are smaller around. Not stiff at all. Should last a long, long time.

Awesome product. Heavy duty and quiet. My only complaint is that the plug in grips are so large that if your 2 inputs are close together they may not fit. They would not fit on my keyboards stereo outputs, but they work great going from my Focusrite 18i20 to my monitors.

This is A really beefy cable… Improved my sound quality and I feel more confident with these cables plugged into my expensive powered mixer and speakers. Really impressed… Highly recommend.

These cables are fantastic very well made! Definitely would buy these again! Can’t believe the amazing price that Amy’s sells these for they worked perfect on my line 6 amp head seems like they are built like a tank very road worthy if your looking for speaker cables look no more these get the job done and they do it very well I’m very impressed with the over all quality and and performance of the cables I bought two so I could run my 4-12 cabinet in stereo and man do they work like a champ!.

I have been using CBI Guitar cables for near 2 decades now and love them dearly. This is my 1st speaker cable and I have to say, every bit as impressed. It’s seriously heavy duty with great heavy serviceable terminals and nice rubber strain reliefs.

Couldn’t ask for more, especially for the fantastic price. I got the 3′ 16awg to run from head to cab. AMS got it here quick as always.

Not much to say other than this cable is well made and heavy duty. A must have for connecting an extension cab to any amp. I’m definitely going to purchase a few more of these. The only thing that would be a plus is if they are available with a right angle plug on at least on or both ends.

Maybe they are, I really haven’t looked. Definitely a good value for this cable.

I use these as a patch cord from a pedal to my amp input. The 2 straight ends work best for me particularly for the amp in. I am only using a single pedal with no board.

I bought this so I could swap out the speaker in a Nextone Stage 40 to an Avatar/Fane M65 because Boss uses a different speaker connection. Worked perfectly. Would not hesitate to purchase again if needed.

Allows audio signal to pass from output transformer to the speaker terminals resulting in amplified sounds!

I use mogami gold exclusively and while it’s a little expensive it pays off over time since I never have to replace them. Between rehearsals, gigs, and personal practice, they’re getting used almost everyday.

The only time I’ve had to replace one is when a singer accidentally stepped on one coming out of my pedal board and broke it. Clean tone, durable, and quality made. Simply the best!!!.

After having used many speaker cables over 25 years. This is the closest to indestructible by far.

This speaker cable actually made a very noticeable and positive difference in my rig’s tone. I already had all Mogami Gold for every other cable in my rig, and after every cable I replaced with Mogami Gold, the sound kept getting better and better.

I bought a pair of these to go with my 100 watt Marshall stack, among other amps / cabs in my home studio and possibly for gigging. Although I haven’t taken them apart, they seem to be well constructed.

Nice beefy cable with larger plugs. I’ve run them at 4,8, and 16 ohms and so far they’ve preformed well and are completely noiseless. Knowing time is the real test I can only wait and see how they hold up, but for the price even if they need to be repaired or replaced down the road it’s not a big deal! So at this point, I’m completely happy with them!.

Shipping, service, people at the store. all very good. I have only used these cables twice for practice so I cannot attest to longevity. Plugs are super heavy duty, and the cable is the same. I did a comparison from the original cables received with the pa and these heavy duty cables.

I tested the sound with both sets but did not tell the band members which was which. I asked if they heard any difference. Out of three trials, the guys picked the heavy cables for sound every time. I don’t know if it would be the same for every test situation.

All in all. worth the money!.

DO NOT BUY THESE turned on my amp this morning & no sound. turned out to be the speaker cable. unscrewed the jack & white powder fell out, the wires at the solder connections are completely corroded & eaten through- looks like when an old battery leaks.

but these are just cables. i checked all 4 cables i bought 4 months ago & they are all the same or about to be. i used 2, the other 2 were backups that were never plugged in and still corroded. there’s a reason they are 12 gauge 10 foot cables for this price- you get what you pay for.

never again. i thought cables were fine so long as you took care of them. lesson learned.

Very nice cable.. However, Unless you are building custom crossovers. The standard fittings are too small for this chunk of meat for internal wiring. External wiring awesome

This will work for non-grounded power cable or for speaker cable. It works great on my DC power supply.

I’ve used this same speaker wire many times in the past with no issues. The copper is good quality so there will be no sound quality issues. Where I had trouble was with splitting the cable to add banana plugs.

Maybe it was a bad batch, but the wire was extremely difficult to separate and strip. Normally you can just pull it apart, pop the banana plug on and you are done. I was not able to pull the L/R channels apart by hand and I had to cut the sleeve.

The sleeves were not perfectly shaped and caused problems trying to attach the rocketfish banana plug rings. If you get this speaker wire and want to use banana plugs, dont use the rocketfish plugs.

This wire is the best I have used in along time. When I was looking to put in a Surround Sound system for our Outdoor Entertainment Area I looked at various options for speakers and set up. I chose to hard wire our speakers rather than go with Bluetooth.

I have enough things on Bluetooth without having Speakers also. And the receiver I purchased is Bluetooth so that is just fine. My 2 furthest speakers both required 100 foot spools of wire whereas the closer ones only 50 or less.

This wire was easy to connect and conceal and attach along it’s route to the receiver. We will see how it survives the Winter.

I’ve been using rocketfish speaker wire for years and they’ve given me years of great HTS sound in return! The thickness of the insulation has protected the wire from the elements. No discoloration of the pure copper within.

I needed more rocketfish wire for my Klipsch RP500M surround speakers to fill my system out! Great sound quality you will get with the oxygen-free copper for pure signal integrity. The wire is marked for easy polarity identification and measuring.

I rarely give negative reviews because I research before I buy. I feel the need to pass this on so someone else can do better research than I did. Great cable with a very weak 1/4″ plug. The tip is very prone to bending.

Bending leads to breaking and shorting out. Nope, next time I will spend the extra cash and get American made cable. Also, the 1/4″ plug was too big to fit into a female extension plug – never had that happen before.

I’m sure these cables are fine, but if you need to plug them into a device that has L/R speaker out jacks too close, they won’t fit. I found this out when I tried to use these cables for studio monitors out of a PreSonus Audiobox.

When you plug in one, the other doesn’t have space to fit in next to it because the casing around the plug is too wide. Maybe its bad design on the part of PreSonus, but be forewarned if that’s what you want to use these cables for.

I got tired of stringing my guitar cables from my pedal board to the backline and then have all the roaming musicians step on them or worse, tripping over them and unplugging my board. With this 50′ cable I now run the cable around everyone to my amp.

Now if I can only get them to stop unplugging my acoustic from the direct box with their huge clown feet.

I ordered this 21’ coiled cable because I wanted a backup for the exact same Monster Classic Coiled Cable I bought six years ago and still use. What I received is not at all the same quality or even the advertised length.

It might be 10’ stretched out. The cable material feels like cheap plastic. The straight sections of cable on each end are much shorter than previous models. Only the plugs are the same. This cable was unusable so I returned it.

I got this new and improved Monster classic cable as a replacement for the old poorly performing and designed Monster Pro Link cable. I was disappointed by the old “poor design” with the all plastic input casing.

These all metal input casing, new classic cables are very strong, good sounding, and do not tangle up like the old Pro Link design. These are robust and the inputs fit well into the guitar jack. The old design seem to have been thin and never quite stayed in.

These new ones sound good, a bit bright but very clear and transparent. A definite improvement in tone. My faith in Monster cables has been restored after having been disappointed by the old design. Highly recommended.

I was really hesitant to spend so much on a cable but OH MY GOODNESS. It sounds like I got a new guitar. I have a line 6 amp. Small Clone Boss Metal Distortion and a digital delay pedal. I have only tried it with my Ibanez which I got on sale at a pawn shop for forty.

I still have lower quality patch cables as well as the cable that runs from my last pedal to my amp. The only cable I changed was the one going from my guitar into my amp. Before my tone was horrible.

Was thinking about getting a new guitar just for that. I wasn’t expecting such a drastic improvement. I don’t know how much better tone would me for a medium range priced cable like fender, but the ones I had were the cheapest I could get.

I was pretty broke at the time. I’ve only had it for a few days so I can affirm their longevity. If these cables do indeed last years. I would say these are cheaper in the long run. The cables I usually get only last less than a year and at around 10-12.

If this one last 3 years. It would be less money with superior sound quality. I’m so happy I bought this cable. Only high end cables for me for now on!.

Got 4 of these. All had one bad end or both ends were bad. The solder connections were good – there was conductivity. The problem was inserting them into the jacks – they would not slide in. With close inspection I could see the spade shaped tips and the insulators (the little rings) in the TRS combination were off center – relative to the shaft (sleeve).

(I can picture some no-nothing supervisor giving these a cursory nod of approval as they flew off the assembly line in record time), Glad I checked these for operation, rather than assume they would work.

They got replaced and half of those ends are also useless. Stay away from these!.

These speakers cables connect my Line 6 Spider V 240HC head to the matching 4×12 speaker cabinet. The length is perfect. The construction of these cables is great. The 4×12 cabinet came with some speakers cables, but I never even took them out of the package because these On-Stage cables are vastly superior.

Works as advertised. Low noise, simple cable with metal connectors, and the price is right. I would not want anything else.

I purchased a number of these cables for my home studio. They are durable and exactly what was needed.

I use it for my Speakers for my Dj Business..great product at an affordable price..

The speaker cables are good so far. No complaints here.

I have actually purchased two of these. In both cases the end plugs have fallen apart. And I am in no way hard on them. Both were used in my bedroom and never moved or gigged. It is a nice heavy cord too bad they don’t put a quality end jack on them.

I had to repair both on mine with aftermarket jacks. There are much better quality cords out there to be purchased.

Cable has very useful characteristics like low resistance, low inductance and reasonable capacitance when used in 2+2 mode. It is also very flexible for its diameter and easy to terminate. To get something similar made from more exotic materials would sell for more than 10x the price with marginal improvement.

Long runs up to 20ft are possible.

I used the center speaker as a test and I can honestly say the sound is better out of the center speaker with the Mogami cable. I’m hearing whisper with it now. I didn’t hear them before when watching a quiet place.

Recently purchased this cable. Best pricing I could find. This is a thick cable, be patient and use proper tools when prepping for termination.

Von daher besteht meiner Meinung nach keine Gefahr der Verpolung. Das Produkt hält was es Verspricht.
