20 Best Growing Conditions For Lavender (2023 Updated)

I put these seeds in a wet paper towel in the refrigerator for 6 weeks, then I germinated the seeds just pressed lightly into 1 inch seed trays in the house on top of heated mats, lightly misted with water and covered them with plastic domes.

All the seeds germinated. I have them under grow lights and they’re ready to be hardened outside in the sun for an hour a day for a few days. Then I’ll transplant them into 4 inch pots. Once big enough, I’ll move them to 6 inch pots until they’re ready to plant in the yard.

Very satisfied!.

We extended our veggie garden, put in a simple black fence in sections. Husband said “whatever I wanted to plant”. I found these Lavender plants worth a try since they are tough enough to go through winter and able to endure hot summers.

We’ve had them about 2 months. I planted them right away, try to water them but haven’t as often as I would like. I did feed them twice and they are all growing beautifully. I can update my review as time goes on but they look really good right now.

I went for the 9 plant special and they will deter bugs and deer and look gorgeous at the same time,.

About a week ago all of the leaves and the stem is turned black on the bottom. Today the whole plan is dead. It gets plenty of Sun. It’s been raining a lot recently. But we are in zone 8b, which is the right zone for this flower.

I bought lavender from your website and also a few from a local nursery. Every single one of your plants died within a week. The other ones from the nursery are fine. Super disappointed

In cold stratification along with the johnny jump ups are tucked away in the fridge, in a moistened paper towel, in a plastic baggy. A great plenty of seeds nicely packaged and arrived in a timely manner.

I recently planted a 72 cell tray full of 3 types of lavender seeds, from different vendors. The True Leaf Market seeds performed very well in this test. Out of an entire packet, I was able to get about 65 lavender sprouts, which is great, considering how difficult it is to grow lavender from seed.

Purchased this item and was very excited to grow some Lavender in my apartment. The pack says it takes 14 days to grow normally, which made me anticipate some growth. I have a greenhouse and heat mats and everything BUT my lavender was growing.

I’ve since been able to plant and have growth for two whole trays of veggies, herbs, and flow ers. but I have only recently gotten 1 lavender to sprout. VERY disappointed in this product. There is no other growth occuring in the soil.

Concerned about the health of our tree , looks like it’s dead , no new leaves, all leaves look dead. We planted as instructed , hole was 2x the size of the tree, used organic potting soil mixed with manure and planted in the burlap bag it came with.

After planted we mixed some miracle grow in water and watered it then watered every 3 days for first couple weeks and noticed leaves were turning yellow, seen on your website that if watered to much leaves would turn yellow and they can handle drought so we quit watering it so often , watered only 2 x a week if there was no rain in site.

The tree never seemed right from the day we got it out of the box , awfully expensive to have this problem, advice would be appreciated thank you in advance.

Came in drop in bags. Planted immediately on receiving a month or two ago. All looked good, but one had thick, main root cut. Have been feeding, gave it choice area, but immediately started dying. Other two have many beautiful blooms on them.

Disappointed the third one may not come back, but have been purchasing trees from FGT for years now and this is the first time I’ve had to fight to keep any of them alive.

My 5’ Purple Rose of Sharon Tree was superbly packed. Not one breakage. It had green buds on all the limbs. I planted it about two weeks ago the buds have grown slightly so I think it will do just fine.

After the fact, I should have planted the burlap that held the rootball in place. Before planting make cuts in the burlap & trim excess burlap where it is tied to the trunk. Then backfill. Wait until tree is almost back filled then also cut the tie.

I took the burlap off and saw very few roots. Still, I think my lovely tree forgives me & takes off in a majestic way. Lots of Butterflies and hummingbirds are in waiting.

I had been so anxious to try New Car Scent for sometime now, because I read that this was one of Little Trees’ most popular scents. I opened it my hopes of a pleasant scent was SHATTERED. This smells horrible! It smells like an overpowering scent that is used to hide something that’s rotting.

12. 6 macOS Sierra (High Sierra is not recommended *yet* for installing Parallels 13). Completely genuine brand new copy. Both 32 & 64 bit discs were included. Disc installed Windows much faster than USB media of the same software would have installed.

Something like 30 minutes! Really quick for a brand new install (I had no copy of Windows installed previous to this). Do keep in mind that my Mac has a disc drive, and all modern Retina MacBook Pros (and newer) do *not* have onboard disc drives.

If you want to install this onto a newer Mac as mentioned, you would need a SuperDrive USB disc drive (or other compatible USB disc drive) to install said media. I’m going to access Windows Update on Ultimate to download and install Service Pack 1 update (a lot of software requires Service Pack 1 to be installed).

I confidently expect update to go swimmingly. — I will include this disclaimer: be careful about buying cheap copies of Windows 7 Ultimate at prices that seem too good to be true. Remember that this software used to cost well above $200.

This software is valuable even if you only think about how few of these brand new completely genuine copies are likely available on the market (we are almost in 2018 now). This software, notably, is still currently supported by Microsoft.

I sent this as a gift to faraway grandchildren I won’t be able to see for a while. They are pre-school age with little to do now, so I thought this would be fun for them to do and then watch grow. Also, a hopeful thing!.

Before buying I literally spent a month reading reviews on Amazon, Etsy, etc. After reading all those reviews I was terrified of getting bad oils. I was especially nervous about the lavender because people seem to be the most fussy with it, I finally decided on Rocky Mountain and came here directly, thank god I did because this organic lavender is mind blowing!! It is exactly the way my wife and I were hoping for! We’ve already made bath salts and put a few drops on our pillows and beanies.

We also got the organic orange and eucalyptus and both of those are excellent as well!! My order was shipped out immediately and the bottles were filled to the top. We are thrilled that we found this company and would definitely recommend!!.

I had purchased lavender from another company and it was more expensive. They discontinued it and so I found it on this website. I am glad I did. The price was better and had more quantity. I made lavender lemonade and it was delicious.

I will definitely be getting more when I run out and that may be sooner than later.

I feel these were shipped too early for my zone 6a, received them March 6, even before the estimated ship date. Had to wait another 1. 5 weeks for the ground to thaw to plant them. We’ve had a cold spell this weekend and 3 of the 5 look pretty ragged.

The new leaves that were growing look frozen, bent and done. I hope they will survive. 2 other companies that carry the product don’t ship it until late April. I don’t get it.

I have read comments and appreciate others experience for plants not doing well or dead and/or not recovered. I purchased 3 plants. They all arrived with good roots, small, typically rough appearance of most dormant perennial plants.

I planted them in 3 areas with full sun and in well-drained soil. They have developed very well in year one into refreshingly nice, effective ornamentals. I have become accustomed to the fact that it might take 2 to 3 years for many of these plants to achieve catalog appearance in year one.

I have really enjoyed and continue to enjoy this lavender purchase. I have noted complaints about the return policy. I have purchased for many years and have continued to do so because when I have had disappointing failures, I have called or emailed and always received credits or replacement when possible.

It sets you back a year from the garden effect you envisioned and it is frustrating but I have never been denied. I pay a premium for the plants but appreciated the service and often cutting edge releases of new cultivars not often found in garden centers.

My Phenomenal Lavender arrived in perfect condition. Per the directions, we waited for several days before planting. The plants are good size and already look beautiful. We are looking forward to seeing how they fare over the winter and, hopefully, fill the space where we planted them.

We are zone 4b, so we did take a bit of a chance, depending on our research for zone 4 lavender. Some websites indicated that Phenomenal Lavender was a zone 4 plant. They are in a protected spot next to our house on the east side.

Compared to the horrible old overgrown shrubs we pulled out of there, these look amazing. Fingers crossed for over wintering.

I do not believe these plants were in ‘gallon’ pots – the pots look much smaller than that. Also, I was willing to pay more for these plants because I expected them to be much larger – I paid the same amount for the same size plants from a competitor of yours a few weeks ago BUT I receive 9 plants for the same price as your 3 plants.

Out of the box, the plants had browning occurring on their tips which extended approximately 2-3 inches down the stems. After receiving them, I put them in sunlight for a couple of hours then in shade for a couple of hours alternating this process to acclimate the plants to their new surroundings since they were in a box for a quite a while.

As of Sunday afternoon, one plant looks like it is nearly completely dead and the other two are not looking so hot themselves. This email is not meant to bash you guys at all. You have been very good responding to my email(s) and I believe that you truly want your business to be as successful as possible.

I’m just disappointed that I paid nearly triple the amount for plants that are struggling to survive after only a few days of their arrival, and the size of the plants seem a bit deceptive as per their description online.

All the plants I ordered came well packaged. They arrived without a single branch or leaf broken. I’ve already planted two roses and they are thriving. I haven’t yet planted the lavender but I am sure it will do well.

Great pure quality EO! Love all 12 different I bought. Supererior quality compared with lots of other suppliers. Smell and color are all distinctively different (read better) when compared. ordered frankincense and lavender essential oils, and Brazil nut carrier oil. All three products are exceptional! I use these oils in a shaving lotion that I have formulated, and I have seen a noticeable improvement in the lubricating and beard softening effect of my formula.

Because these oils are not diluted like many of the products sold on the internet, I can use smaller amounts in my formula, and even better results from my formula. I had tried many other brands before.

MY SEARCH IS FINALLY OVER!!! My one and only complaint is that it took almost a month for my initial order to arrive in the US. But that’s no reflection on Florihana. Hopefully, my next order will not take as long.

Beautiful plant that is thriving in one year. I started with 1 vine last summer and in May, have 6 vines climbing the pole. I am knocking off a star because the color is completely different than the picture showed; I fell in love with the periwinkle blue color in the ad and the true color is vivid pink! I’m wondering if I can change the color by adjusting the PH, like hydrangeas?.

Purchased multiple boxes bc of great price. Smells are faint and do not match descriptive name. Slight coconut background scent. Unable to use.

They smell good in the bottle but are not strong in a diffuser. I have to pop out the plastic piece to get it out of the bottle and noticed it makes my house smoky which I have never had that happen with any diffuser l.

For the purposes of diffusing lavender essential oil to create a relaxing atmosphere, this oil is great. almost a little too great! I added a few drops to my diffuser and once I start diffusing, its a bit pungent almost down the hall.

Usually when I diffuse my essential oils from YoungLiving, it usually takes a few more drops and the scent remains contained to my room. I think because of that, I would love for them to share more about how the essential oil is gathered and its purity because I almost want to say it may feel a little synthetic, but it’s great for setting a relaxing atmosphere and I just use it before I go to sleep.

This smells amazing. It’s super concentrated, so you don’t need much. I actually got this for my dryer balls. I don’t like lavender, eucalyptus would be gross (smell like grandma with the vicks, lol), there were others, but not something I would want my laundry smelling like.

This oil is perfect. The bottle is also about twice the size of what you would buy in the store (and about 50x better quality).

I use essential oils all the time. I was a little skeptical about this price but after purchasing and using, I found it to be therapeutical grade. I could not be more pleased! I drop the lemon in all my cleaning products, in my lotions, and Castile soap.

I now don’t have to pay for name brand, fancy packaging, and advertising.
