20 Best Grow Light For Houseplants (2023 Updated)

So I am new to gardening and growing plants. I specifically focus on growing herbs in my home to use in cooking and thought it would be helpful to use a grow light to aid in the growth of my plants. After some research I decided this would be worth the try to see if it helped.

Of course I was curious to determine if I could get measurable results to determine if it was worth the buy. So I proceeded to use the same seeds and plant them in areas; one with direct exposure from the light consistently and another with only normal sunlight.

Before I get to the results a quick comment on the quality of the bulb. The first thing you will notice is this bulb is heavy, it is solidly built with nice plastic and a good thick glass lens on it.

SO you will need to plan your lighting appropriately to make sure it can support the weight of the bulb. The bulb also has a nice spectrum , which if you happen to catch a direct hit from the light, you will see every color the bulb produced in vivid color.

The bulb also produces a nice amount of heat, not too much where it will worry but comfortable and seems good for plants. Back to the experiment, I conducted the experiment for two weeks and monitored the growth of each of the plants.

After a couple days I got my first sprouts and was very pleased. Of course I know there is naturally going to be a randomness in germination rates, so I won’t include any analysis there. Overall from what I could discern, the bulb was effective in providing my plants the extra light and warmth they need to grow faster and taller.

There was a noticeable difference (I won’t bore with the actual metrics) but it was clear to see the difference. Another caveat of course is this wasn’t the most strict scientific method to ensure valid results, but for my purposes it was enough to prove the bulb was worth the investment.

If you are looking for that extra light and warmth or just don’t have any convenient areas in your house that are conducive to plant growth,t his is a great alternative that will get you the results.

The bulb is great. Honestly, it was better than I thought it would be. I was considering one of those LED square arrays for plant growing, but I’m very happy with this bulb instead. I’m sure those arrays offer more intensity of light, but for my two plants this bulb is perfect.

My plants are visibly healthier and loving this bulb. I should have gotten it sooner. The light from the grow light is pleasing to the eye as well, so I can keep my plants in my living room rather than the closet or basement.

The only thing I’m not so keen on is that the bulb is very heavy and will tip my lamp over if I don’t put a weight on the bottom of the stand. Otherwise, it’s everything I was looking for.

The GE LED+ Speaker Soft White 65W Replacement Indoor LED Floodlight is extremely nice! This bulb has the convenience of a Bluetooth speaker and the practicality of a flood light bulb wrapped in one.

There are no cords to worry about and no battery life to watch compared to a regular Bluetooth speaker. This light is so easy to install, pair with other speaker bulbs, and it works really well. The instructions are clear and easy to understand.

It’s as simple as screwing it in, turning it on, finding it with your Bluetooth enabled device, and selecting it. Then it’s automatically a Bluetooth speaker that needs no other maintenance. It works flawlessly with other bulbs; automatically pairing them together once turned on.

The light itself looks nice; it gives off a nice warm but bright glow. The light bulb is significantly heavier than a regular non-speaker bulb, but my sockets didn’t have any issues accommodating the weight, the size overall is the same and fit in place of my existing floodlight bulbs.

The sound quality is that of a nice Bluetooth speaker. I love the overhead sound it creates. The remote is easy to use; the buttons are straightforward, and the remote is attractive. It gives you full control over the light and the music in one simple remote.

Another nice feature is that you don’t have to have the light on to be using the speaker. There are times I don’t need a light but can definitely use some music so I appreciate it still working even when the bulb is off.

I also like that you can change the light intensity with the remote as well. Overall, this is a really nice floodlight speaker LED light bulb. It’s super easy to use and the sound and light quality are great.

I would absolutely recommend it.

I am very impressed with this light. I had some electrical issues in my mud room recently that left the climate in that room not much better than outdoors. I returned home one day, and my baby aloe plants were on the verge of popsicle status and were in need of help.

My mountainside home could provide the temperature indoors but not the sun. With shriveled leaves and a brown tint setting in, I immediately bought this lamp. Within a day of receiving this light, my aloe had done a complete turn around.

The leaves started to fill out and turn green again. The sleek design of this lamp makes it convenient to place anywhere. I don’t have to have a designated room for my plants (which I don’t have anyway lol).

I set up the plants on top of my bookshelf in my living room. The dimming aspect makes for a less intrusive light in the evening, as well as, not having to worry about any heat being given off either.

I am also impressed with the customer service. Although the light arrived in two days without a hitch, I was still contacted to make sure it arrived, and to make sure the light had not been damaged in anyway during shipping.

I have had some bad online shopping experiences. This definitely was not one of them. So far I have had a wonderful experience across the board. My baby aloe and I thank you.

I love this light. It works very well. This light allows blue, red, or both options so it is good for flowering and non flowering plants. The timer is awesome. I set the auto timer for 3 hours each day in the morning.

It auto turns on and off. I did have to reset the timer when my power went out or I unplug the light and move it. But that is to be expected with any electronic thing. The clamp is very easy to use and opens pretty widely so I can clamp it to various things.

The light is long so it works for large and small plant leaves. And the necks bend really easily so I can bend the lights into different configurations to reach various leaves. The instructions are easy and my plants are blooming and growing like crazy.

One note, put the light so it shines on the tops of the leaves cause that’s how light absorption works. Took me a minute to remember that. LOL Highly recommend this product. I already bought another one and will likely get a third one.

Had for over a year now, and the light function works great and the clamp is nice and strong but also padded so that you don’t have to worry about it moving or scratching. I like that you can chose the intensity, as I’ve been able to slowly acclimate new plants that were coming from a shady spot.

(I rotate plants in/out of my practically sunless office to the TLC station at home I created with these lights so that my office stays pretty but not deadly to plants. ) The only downside is the timer function.

I have the newer/current version where the timer will also turn the light back on for you in the mornings. The number of hours lighted is always accurate, but the unlighted time ends up being about 10-15 minutes short each day so the full cycle is only 23.

75 hours a day. This means the start time slowly drifts earlier and earlier so that I have to reset the system about once a week or I’ll end up with the lights coming on in the middle of the night instead of 8 am like I want.

It is very likely Brite-labs won’t even show my review, but this is my honest opinion. When I first unpackaged the box the pieces were noticeably cheap. There is no weight to the tripod and the remote is flimsy.

I figured it was just the materials they used so I tried to put it all together. When I tried to screw in the top of the tripod to the four led lamp part the screw was too short, so I was unable to screw my pieces together! I was pretty upset about that, however, I figured I could still use the lights.

Nope! I have various light meters that I use to monitor the light that my plants get. Each meter I tried on the saber-pod read as pretty much dark. So the lights are not actually producing the light that plants need.

I am beyond disappointed. I chose Brite-labs because it seemed like an easy fix to my lack of sunlight in certain areas in my house. I should’ve done more research before I spent $67 — waste of my money!.

It’s OK, but, just like with other items I have purchased from Brite Labs previously, the documentation is wrong in places. There are not six brightness levels, but ten. Once I set the timer, the 3H/9H/12H indicator does NOT flash; it does flash on my Saber QUAD, but NOT on the Saber POD.

(I had similar issues with the Saber QUAD, btw, where the documentation at times appears to be talking about a different light altogether. ) Sloppy.

I love this light! I didn’t realize how much difference a grow light would make until I got one for myself. My plants have grown more than twice as fast since I started using this light. I like that it has different settings for the light intensity and the timer.

The timer is especially handy because there are so many different settings. It is great for not forgetting to turn off the lights when you leave the house for work or when you go to sleep at night.

used this for about a week before roller on off switch stopped working. got it to work and then where plug fits into bulb kept coming loose, then plastic end came away from bulb. only way it works is manually pressing ends of bulb together and holding them.

not worth $45. had high hpes for this product, but it is very flimsy.

If only I could rate this 0 stars! Buyer beware!! The light itself works but the stand is junk. I tried to assemble the stand and it broke on six of the assembly points. I can’t believe the poor quality of this item.

It’s a $47 piece of JUNK!!!! Plantation Products, LLC should be ashamed of themselves for the rip-off they are peddling. I would not recommend this item.

It was easy to assemble and my seedlings are happy! I only wish that the height was somehow adjustable but otherwise I think it’s a great product. I use it with the accompanying seedling tray by the same brand bought separately.

This is the best & easiest-to-use 450W grow light with on/off timer I found to use in a 48″ x 24″ grow tent for my herb garden. Specs: 90 LED lights arranged in 3 groups of 5×6 Outputs 12 different light waves for full light spectrum good for all plant stages including seedlings/growing/veg/flower/fruit/etc.

120V A/C indoor use, draws about 210W when lights are on 100% brightness Has power output plug so you can daisy chain these together, but the timer on 1 unit doesn’t control other units plugged into it.

They are each about 16″ overall length. This is a very easy-to-setup and use grow light that works for growing just about any plant at any stage of it’s life from seed to fully-grown. I got it because I didn’t want to buy a grow light along with a timer to control it along with a separate fan to cool it along with a power supply that adjusted to wattage.

This unit can be dimmed in 1% increments from 100% down to 0% for both light groups, it has cooling fans built in, and it’s built-in timer can be set to turn on once and off once per day, every day, like an alarm on your smartphone.

The LEDs are arrainged in 3 rectangular areas as you can see from the pics. The light is wide enough to perfectly cover a 30″ x 18″ grow tent. I have since switched to a 48″ x 24″ grow tent now and it still works fine for my herb garden but for perfect coverage I think using two 300W lights might give you a little more even coverage even though I haven’t noticed any of my herbs wanting to point inward instead of growing straight up so for me this light works perfectly well.

You can daisy chain multiple Viparspectra lights together, even if the other ones are not the same model as this one or do not have timer function. Unfortunately the timer on each light does not control any functions on any other lights you daisy chain from it, the daisy chain only allows power to be run in series to save you from running individual extension cords or taking up moreoutlets if you run a bunch of these lights.

For example you can daisy chain this light along with a 300W non-timer light, and 600W non-timer light together but the timer on this only controls this light’s on/off capabilities. The other 2 lights daisy chained to this will just stay on 100% of the time unless you have a separate control for them.

If you want a bunch of daisy chained lights to all turn on and off together then every model light must be the version with timer built-in like this one. The light output of this LED light is approx equivalent to a 450W halogen light but the LEDs are much more efficient which is why this light only draws about 210W at 100% brightness, and is also why it barely gets luke warm when it’s on.

I have been running my light at 40% power all day and it’s not even warm, it feels like it’s room temperature. The 2x 120mm fans on top of this unit produce some noise which most people don’t know how to measure and their interpretation of “loud” or “quiet” is hugely skewed because I see some reviews saying this unit “is so quiet” and others say “it’s very loud” but not everyone has perfect hearing so loud to me with great hearing could actually be silent to someone with very poor hearing.

Noise is measured in decibels (dB) and things such as a light breeze or breathing which can barely be heard is about 5-10dB, the average compuer fan is about 25-30dB, a conversation in a nice restaurant with low music in the background is about 50dB.

This unit sounds to me like it’s about 30-35dB, or slightly louder than the average computer fan running at 100% speed. Since it’s in the grow tent most of the noise is trapped inside so it sounds like about 15dB from the outside of the grow tent when it’s closed.

Controlling the VEG and BLOOM light groups independently is nice because you can control the different wavelengths your plant needs at different stages of it’s growth very accurately with this light.

I couldn’t find any specs on which of the 12 wavelengths are actually controlled by each setting though. The timer and remote are very handy because this light can be mounted out-of-reach and still be fully controlled with the remote.

So i write my first recension in my life, we’ll see. I’m not the kind of man who thinks in the past was all better, but in the future?, i don’t think all will be better. It always two faces. Now to the LED-Board.

I’ve got good onions and garlic grown with the Mars Hydro 2 900W. That Board is really good for 90cm tent, till today! The average was all the time really satisfactioned. But when you think it over, 10years go by, it must be made something new inventions in led technics, otherwhile it where stupid wasted time (or making much money).

So i collect informations at web, and i’ve seen, the time is ready for a new age of LED Boards. To many people said it’s amazing what’s invited already. And the Mars Hydro ST3000 is the right one for my 120cm tent, and my purse.

It’s like from dark to the light, can’t believe it. It’s totally quite, and the temperature is exactly nice warm over 20degrees. Now i don’t waste any power, it’s much better than the Hydro2 for the same power what would be putting out.

But you as a customer can use all the Hydro LED’s cheap and good at all, also everyone needs a second lamp, because of murphy’s law. I can’t send photos because no one want’s to see tomatoes at work! I’m the dude, believe me.

Really thanks to Mars Hydro, we stay tuned. And greest from my wife, she got all older lamps for growing cucumber!.

I have been putting off buying led lights for a long time, because the first one I bought 10-years ago, a Flying Saucer put off this ghastly pink light that hurt your eyes to look at it, so I went back to using a HPS.

This Viparspectra, is only slightly pink so you can actually work on your plants without the special glass’s. From what I’ve seen on Youtube more white LED’s are the future. My second concern was do they grew plants as fast as the HID lamps! A couple of years ago I bought this house with two acres of land, where they cut down almost every tree on the land.

Why people do this is beyond my understanding, so I’m in the process of turning it back into woodlands. I live next to a federal game preserve and wildlife abounds, so everything I plant if for the animals! This is the second one of these lights I’ve bought.

I bought one last October, and started some apple, cherry, maple, and oaks from seed keeping the light on 24/7, and even with trimming the trees several times, by march I had some nice bushy 4 foot trees, ready to plant in the spring.

Needless to say I’m impressed. Even though these lights are nowhere, near as bright as HID’s every plant I’ve grown under them so far seem to grow just as fast, and are more compact then under the HID’s with way less heat, soI bought another one for bushes, and flowers.

I can’t give them a 5 star because I haven’t had them long enough to judge how long they will last; but at the price it’s a great way to try LED’s!.

I have never attempted to use grow lights so I had to do some research to figure out which color lights do what.

I have limited natural light in my home based on where the sun rises and sets and how my house is configured. I like that this has not only an adjustable timer but that I can also choose the between three light colors which all do different things.

The flexible arms make it easy to use this light for multiple plants and the clip or base option makes it easy to setup no matter how much or how little space you have. I’ll be interested to see if this will help me keep my plants alive.

You can also move it around easily because it can clip onto anything you want and it also is a stand. I have really enjoyed being able to move it around from different plants and vegetation that I am growing.

It has blue lights for vegetation growth and red lights for flowering growth. It also comes with a mounting bracket if you would like it to be stationary. This is a great replacement for any of the areas in your house that lack natural sunlight.

So I was very happy to receive and try this product. My house has limited windows, so I get hardly any light in many rooms for plant growing. This product was easy to set up and start. Plus the three separate lights make it easy to use it over several plants at a time.

The two best features are the adjustable timer and the color selection options. A very useful product that can be used year after year. I recommend it.

We recently had a sunroom enclosed and the glass is UV protected so my plant were not getting enough sun nutrients. I added a couple of these lights on timers to run them while we were not using the room and my plants have exploded.

also we bring our citrus trees in during cold months and they all blossomed and are growing like crazy. i loved the light so much i also purchased a few more to put in my green house for winter months.

The overall experience I had with the 80W grow light was positive. The light were delivered in a timely fashion and were easy to setup. I ordered three lights, but one was defective and didn’t light up at all.

Much to my surprise,when I emailed this difficulty to the company I was told they were out of stock and it was estimated to be four weeks before the replacement light would be shipped. I am still waiting and hope the light replacement will be delivered when the stock is replenished.

Otherwise the lights that work do a great job.

Love ’em! Bought these lights to start seeds and keep existing pepper plants growing through the New York winter in our basement. All of our plants (mint, parsley, garlic, celery, peppers, pepperomias, lettuces etc) are demonstrating phototropisms toward the light fixtures and growing well.

We’re very pleased with them and are considering buying a few more to expand the operation.

I was using regular 100W incandescent bulbs to keep my cuttings alive over the winter. The 15w replacement grow light bulbs were brighter, and I could readjust the lamp without burning my hands. The LED lamps put out heat, but not even close to as hot as an incandescent bulb.

I would describe it more as “warm to the touch. ” I liked these bulbs because I didn’t have to modify any of my existing lamps. They are ready to screw into an existing socket.

I got the veg model without all the green (white light), and they are very good units. However they are not ramped up to a good 6500K that is especially good for the kind of seedlings I work with, but even so, they are good solid units, and will be good for other things like for revegetating a plant or other such times of my own hobby growing.

Even though these lamps emit a purple glow, it is not a heavy purple glow like some LEDs, but has a cast closer to what the T12 Plant/Aquarium bulb would have, so it does not drive you crazy like a thick heavy colored party type of light that is so unnatural, that only a kid could appreciate.

Kewel! There is just a touch of the green spectrum on these, but there is some. I am sure their products will just get better. They appear to be quality orientated. You can tell. Junk never fools anyone, not eventually.

Used this one for indoor miniature rose. So far worked perfectly. The rose grew 4 inches after just one week. Unlike visually annoying purple hue led grow lights, it retains good room atmosphere, acts as a good spot light.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis light answered all my problems with BUGS day and night. It appears to be a white light but when you turn the light on it is a yellow bug light. This bug light keeps about 95% of the bugs away.

I have a regular light switch so the light when it on starts out white , when you flip the switch on the light automatically turns yellow. If you flip the switch off then on again there will be a regular white bulb you can use.

If you have a toggle switch you can have different variations of white and yellow. When I use the bulb as a bug light bulb it really lights up my whole deck and it works the same way when the bulb is white.

I am really happy with this bug light. I am definitely going to buy another bulb because my light requires 2 bulbs. So I am anxious to see how bright my deck and yard will be when there are 2 bulbs. I highly recommend this product.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt’s hard to find a mid-priced LED strong enough for flowering and fruiting plants. I wasn’t. convinced when I first bought this, but so far my two Feit 3-Setting lights have been up to the task.

I’m growing an indoor 2×4 vegetable garden for the off-season with great progress, but there are a few caveats to keep in mind: The Good: – all of my plants respond very well to the lights – the variety of light settings do seem to work for their respective growth stages – barely any heat emitted, even after 18+hrs on, no running noise – great 1.

8 PAR efficiency, 1. 5 is considered efficient – my cherry tomatoes are fruiting with the light well-contained to only a 2×2 space The Bad: – the directions are not complete about setting up an optimal grow space – no mention of ventilation, reflective walls, light leakage which are all really important indoor growing conditions.

Only mention buying more of their lights to add intensity – confusing and convoluted wording in the manual, especially in the light distance and plant biology sections. I had trouble understanding how far my lights should hang from the plant canopy, but figured it out on my own after some experimenting.

All in all I’m really happy with the light. I just wish Feit had given customers more detail and insight into how to contain indoor grow light’s rays to stay concentrated on plants. You’re not likely to find another LED with this level of growing power for the price.

IšverstiShow in original languageSo I’ve been running several of these for a few months now during our darkest winter days and nights, and I’ve now ordered more because I like them so much. Previously I was running halogens giving half the lumens for four times the wattage, so now I’m saving energy and getting way more brightness.

They do sometimes flicker but I think that is more dependent on your switch hardware and wiring (are there other devices on the same circuit?), and in my experience most LED bulbs will flicker in these situations.

I haven’t seen anyone else offering B10s that put out this much light. I have some rooms that rely on a single B10 for their main lighting source (ceiling fan fixtures) and finally, these ones can handle the job.

I highly recommend.

I’ve purchased 2 of these. One was white and I use it for my box turtle table. The second I bought for my macaw’s cage. It’s redblue adjustable light. I really like how easy these are to attach and adjusting the lighting intensity and timer are very simple.

Would definitely recommend. I need another one to replace my current plant bulb.

This lamp is pretty great! I love all the options and the 3-arm design. I wish the movement of the arms was a little sturdier because when I move it around it doesn’t stay on it’s own. I have to steady the arm with part of the frame of my plant stand.

I really like the lights for my plants, geraniums, I transplanted for indoors during the winter. The lights are very compact & are great on the table in my laundry/sewing room.

These grow lights are awesome. I bought five of them to put in different rooms for my plants. I have had other grow lights before and always found the light to be garish- even ones labeled as “warm white”.

This light emits a nice soft warm white light similar to a regular lamp, so you don’t feel like you don’t really want to be in the same room with it, like so many other grow lights. More importantly, my plants are loving it! My oxalis has filled out.

It’s lush and beautiful looking- and better yet, has started blooming on the side near the lamp. It has never bloomed on the side not facing the window in the five years I’ve had it! My various philodendron species, Sanseverias, Pepperomias, etc.

have all started pushing out lots of new growth since I started using these, and it’s only been a few weeks! I know these are more expensive than a lot of other grow lights, but they are sooo worth it.

I’ll never use anything else again.

Two feet is not enough to even reach the wall in most cases.

IšverstiShow in original languageI liked the two I previously purchased for Grow Tent use, so I picked up a spare. These fixtures run relatively cool and use very little power. The Light put out has a good multi spectrum and has not burnt my seedlings.

Also, they have a 3 Year Warranty. I’m sure I will be picking up a few more in the future.

While we’ve only started seeds in a plastic tray with this light close above. BUT. It has boosted the growth of the seeds we planted no end. We planted seeds on Sunday and had the first few shoots 4/5 days later.

Full tray seedling growth around 6 or 7 days. The hue from this light is not like shown. It’s a gentler pink~white. Which as a light generally (in your personal space) is quite a nice. Being that it’s not overly intrusive.

It’s good and I like the features and the price if you find that you want these spectrum specific lights they’re the best price and they can be daisy chained which is very convenient! If you’re not sure about the spectrum there are cheaper LED tube lights that do a great job for even less but these are clearly made with growing features like linking them together in mind which can be nice.

On the topic of the spectrum, I have found that the cheaper white light LED tubes grew as well and even better for less up front cost but I guess the long term consumption on these LEDs keeps your energy spent on the most important part of the spectrum and may be a better energy to production ration on large scale or in long term.

I cannot confirm that however and my personal opinion leans toward the white light.

I love this light! It’s smaller and lighter (pardon the pun) than I expected, but I suspect that’s due to not having the old-style lights. These are LED. Much more reliable and Earth-friendly, and they last a lot longer too.

I’ve had this light a few months now, and it’s still great. It was easy to hang and it’s been trouble free. You should get one for your plants!.

I had one of the previous FEIT bulbs that looked exactly like the one on the front package and it was fantastic! This one is more cheaply made. I’ve discover the key to LED spotlights is that the glass on the front be Clear/White.

If it is clear, the LED is emitting the exact colour you want and the bulb is way brighter and more efficient. If it is tinted the colour you want, the LED is white and the colour is filtered through making it way duller.

Bulb seems cheap as it’s lightweight, but that because it’s plastic, which might be good as it’s harder to break(?). Light output is good, similar in brightness to my old school 75W glass grow light; plants showed a response.

Not sure how they get the wave lengths best for plants, but I expected output to look more blue. Does not get hot; get incandescent if you want to supply heat for speed of growth or germination. No comment on lifespan as I just bought it.

Low wattage is very good if you want to run on peak hydro rate hours. Stick it on a timer if you really want to save $$ and log the hours till it’s death.

The Canadian Tire app shows this bulb as NOMA brand but the bulb in the store is actually Globe. Bought a competitors LED par38 from another store for less money and it is significantly better quality, and not thin plastic as the Globe flood is made from.

The narrow construction of the bulb is also too small for the water seal on the base of the lawn spike. Will be getting myself a refund. will not be purchasing NOMA/Globe for floodlights in the future.

IšverstiShow in original languageSo, the small screws used to affix the metal clamps are too small. had to improvise to make it work. And the light deflectors “snapping into place” during assembly is laughable.

I’ve been working for nearly 30 minutes to get these in and gave up before something broke. It shouldn’t be this difficult to attach these but the combination of flimsy plastic and curvature of the LED light bar and the deflectors don’t make getting these on easy.

It’s 2022 and this is the best we can do? I sure hope the performance is better than the assembly. Until that time, 2 stars is the best I can begrudgingly give.

IšverstiShow in original languageI was excited about using this system for my plant starts. It came together pretty easily (although I agree with some other reviews that some pieces do not “snap” into place as easily as the instructions imply), and my plants loved it.

However, the entire unit gave off a terrible acrid smell, like burning plastic. Gardeners assured me this was a “new plastic smell,” but after a week it had still not dissipated, so I took apart the unit (the shelf smelled terrible even sitting outside in the sun) and rigged the lights to use alone.

However, when the lights were in use, they alone emitted the same pungent smell. I’ve just decided to put the plants back in the window because I can’t deal with exposing my household to whatever fumes the lights are emitting.

I am surprised no one else has commented on this odor, so I’m not sure if my unit was faulty or what. Disappointing.

IšverstiShow in original languageI mainly use this product to start seedlings, overwinter houseplants and non-hardy perennials. I have a very small house so the vertical space utilization is perfect.

This product essentially creates an indoor greenhouse which is incredible when you compare its cost to that of an actual greenhouse. I have had mine for about three years and the bulbs are still going strong.

It was extremely easy to put together, the people that complained about this are clearly mechanically inept. Also the modular nature of this product is awesome, you can customize to fit your exact needs! This unit does have its drawbacks however.

As it is made of plastic it is somewhat rickety, the lights aren’t strong enough to sustain fully mature plants for long periods of time (will sustain them in the short term however) and watering the plants can be difficult without pulling all the plants off the shelf.

A drip tray would be a nice touch and extremely helpful.

%50 failure rate w/in weeks they do not stand by their awful product. Buying these lights is just like throwing your money away. These people will lie to you about returns and replacements hoping that you will just give up on them!.

Une bonne lampe de croissance qui n’est pas trop dispendieuse. Assez facile à installer, mais attention, si vos lampes sont de lots de production différents, les trous pour les vis ne seront pas tous à la même place! La lumière est très blanche sans être super éblouissanteni désagréable aux yeux, donc convenable dans les pièces à plusieurs fonctions.

Le cordon électrique a une bonne longueur, donc donne de la flexibilité pour l’installation. N’ayant pas de photomètre, je ne peux pas confirmer le taux de luminosité, mais je ne pense pas que c’est aussi puissant qu’indiqué sur l’emballage: en tout cas, le rayon de luminosité n’est pas aussi large qu’indiqué 2″x2″.

ce n’est pas un problème pour la plupart des plantes d’intérieur, qui en générale n’ont besoin qu’un supplément de lumière. Par contre, pour les semis, il faut s’assurer de les placer juste en-dessous de la lampe, au-delà de 15cm de chaque côté de la lampe, les semis s’étiolent.

Puisque les lampes ne sont pas super chères, le problème peut être réglé en mettant 2 lampes côte à côte pour les étagères de plus de 30cm de largeur.

C’est excellent pour commencer ses semis. Les plantes sont plus fortes, plus trapues Ils ne gaspillent pas leur énergie en cherchant de la lumière.

These are great grow-light bulbs for seedlings and houseplants. I also use them for my terrarium (for carnivorous “Pitcher Plants” and “Venus Fly Traps”). I use a utility clamp light with these bulbs and the clamp light reflector works good for directing the light.

Full spectrum, white light (not the blurple type lights). Good for backup grow-light bulbs to keep your plants growing, in case your main grow-light burns out and you need time to get a new one.

These help keep my plants alive and I get used to the very bright light. They do wear out though, and I don’t think they really last as long as advertised. I replace a bulb at least yearly, out of three.

3 of the 4 bulbs have worked well. The other bulb popped as soon as I put it in the fixture. Now I am having trouble getting it replaced. I would appreciate some help in this area.

I bought many of these recently to change out the LED shoplights I used for seed starting. I thought the plant lights might offer a little better type of light. Nice size, lightweight. I only have one in use at this time, for some houseplants I am nursing back to health.

They seem to be responding well. I used coupons for the 5 I just bought, this made them an EXCEPTIONALLY great bargain! I can’t wait until this winter/spring, to see if they make a difference in next year’s garden starts.

Pretty simple to use plug and play. First time using it and it works like a standard grow light. It’s keeping my seedlings from reaching for the light so they’re not leggy at all. The only issue I have is the chains they give you are super short.

On that note they supply you with some screws for wall mounting a short chain and some screw hooks. So you’re really ready to put it to use out of the box.

I like how you can hook up to 8 lights on each other. It has all you need in the box to hang it properly. Size is perfect for any tent. Only had it about a week so don’t really know any real results just yet, but I’m thinking it’s helped my plants tremendously.
