20 Best Grow Light For A 4X4 Tent (2023 Updated)

I have owned some of the first generation of these lights. A friend of ours recently purchased a set of these,the first was a little longer shipping but he was informed his that this was a possibility? The second came with in a week of the first light.

These are a look at a true performance light I have seen that lights will be in the near future. Great system,no different than any AC Infinities products. As we grow older and wearable parts keep wearing! The circle of a growers life? If your just starting out,,,great products and for every growing lights,tents,and anything you have seen! We grow inside,I love the bag appeal on our product.

When I make with our old lights are still a more precision developed lights. This as I mentioned before,,every product AC Infinity has created or just made better you or friends will find these on the AC Infinity web site.

This light is kicking a m/h ts1000’s *** in a 3×3 side by side comparison! I have never seen a foot & a half fallen over stretched seedling stand back up on it’s own; wish I could show pics. Not 1 plant has stretched that began under this S22 light; both tents are set at same heights, intensities, and maintained in corresponding environments.

Plants moved under the S22 that stretched under the TS1000 have stood up, ceased stretching, and are LOVING this light! AC Infinity has the BEST customer service by far, so I feel great giving them my money; I cannot wait to buy their upcoming products!! Thank You AC Infinity!.

AC infinity provides high quality at every single step. The tent is a step above, zipper, material, fan controller mount, everything works. The light is very pure WHITE. The plants are thriving!! A great hanger setup on the ionboard, much better than others.

I had the light installed in a few minutes, installing solo. AC infinity has my vote for great and best grow tent equipment. Keep up the great work!.

Ignore dumb reviews and consider these LEDs. first, two quick things regarding silly reviews: 1) Being sent an incorrect or damaged (in-transit) product isn’t a legitimate reason to review a product poorly.

Rate the business or shipper poorly instead. Or shop at a more specialized store that knows what it’s shipping. 2) Using an INDOOR light OUTDOORS and writing a negative review because it “filled with water” after rain is both funny and sad.

Believe it or not, these INDOOR lights won’t actually fill with water unless they are literally kept outside during rain. 😐 lol I’ve been using these (from a different source) for 2+ years now and they are mint.

They perform well, don’t get super-hot, and grow plants from 12-24in away without much issue. They are super-bright day spectrum LEDs though, so don’t expect the blurple hue found elsewhere. PAR specs are halfway decent too, although a little weak towards the red-end of the spectrum.

If you are looking to grow plants farther than 24in away, you’ll need to double-up (or triple-up) with these LEDs. Don’t expect a huge energy savings vs. T5HO, considering there’s only a 6W difference between 48in models.

They work great, really good for leafy plants Giving 5 stars for the bulbs themselves. They work great, really good for leafy plants. Because they aren’t LED, they do give off some heat, so keep that in mind.

The only gripe about Sunblaster lights, in general, the metal piece you have to install to allow for you to hang it off a chain or cord is really hard to put on, you have to struggle to get onto the light.

Just a note for Growbuds fulfillment centres themselves. I had to return this product twice since both times they arrived broken. The first time, completely smashed, and the second time the filament was broken.

The light itself came with with just some paper as protective packaging. I’ve been sent other items by Growbuds that needed less protection with better protection that what was given in these 2 instances.

I suggest bubble wrap or those air cushions that you use with pottery. The bulbs themselves are glass and easy to break if not properly protected.

I had my best indoor start with tomato, pepper plant seedlings and lettuce ever. I have the light set with the sunblaster. The plants were straight and grew very strong stems. No more spindly weak plants that needed support as soon as they were transplanted.

I plan on growing herbs year round on my kitchen counter, this comes with 4 small pots, sized 6. 5 inches by 4 inches each and the pots are 2 inches deep. The watering reservoir system makes for foolproof watering, so seedlings or small plants don’t get over watered or under watered and fertilizer can be added into the water reservoir system.

The growlight switch doesn’t include a timer, just an on off switch, I assume a timer can be purchased separately and added, I will probably just set a timer on my iPhone and turn it on and off manually.

The T5 growlight it comes with saves on electricity bills and is perfect for growing seeds. The T5 growlight bulb comes with a P65 warning because there is mercury inside the bulb, if the bulb were to break it would be very toxic to humans.

Makes recycling the bulb difficult because chance of breakage during recycling process is very high. Nothing is perfect, that is why I only gave it 3 stars. Without the P65 warning, I would have given it five stars.

It all depends how environmentally concerned you are. If I buy another indoor grow system I will research the safety of the growlight, to make a better decision on my purchase, but I am too lazy to return it and it fits perfectly on my countertop.

Because of the mercury warning I would not recommend this to a friend, I do love our planet and want to preserve it for future generations. When the bulb burns out I plan on getting a different system.

I purchased this Micro Grow Light Station at the end of 2017 as part of my streptocarpus leaf cutting propagation project over the winter time. It fits perfectly in the limited space I have for it. Love the adjustable height of the grow light based on ones different needs.

I had the light connected to a timer to turn it on and off for several months while I grew several leaf cuttings. It worked great! I’m using this grow light station to germinate seeds for my garden for planting in the spring.

Such a great product – highly recommend it!.

I have the bigger version for growing garden seedlings; I got this version to sit on my desk at work. It’s a bit of spring here in cube-land! The only downside is that the wicking reservoir and fabric get a bit grungy and attract gnats.

What I’ve done instead is to put plants in small decorative pots and not really use the wicking reservoir. If I were using this at home to grow herbs indoors, I wouldn’t worry about that, and I’d use the wicking feature (which is the best self-watering system I’ve ever owned).

Growing some herbs indoors to keep the isolation covid/winter blues away. Followed recommended instructions on the back of the package regarding seedlings (about 8″ above, at least 14 hrs light) along with covering the pots with plastic wrap/film to keep soil moist during germination process.

All the seeds sprouted around or under 5 days (twice as fast)! So far so good, will have to wait and see how well the seedlings grow.

I received these lights to replace bulbs in my can lights. When I used the lighting in my kitchen before these you could feel the heat from the floodlights almost immediately. These LEDs solved that problem completely.

I bought them to try in the kitchen and there was such a difference I ordered more so I can change the bedroom lights and the living room lights. They are smaller than the standard floodlight bulb but look fine, and are bright, perfect light.

I am a frugal shopper, and often I buy generic brands. This is not a generic product, but I buy this on the regular. I like that this helps save money, that is my main goal. These light bulbs last for a long time, and give off a great glow.

These are perfect for any light socket that fits, I use them all around the house. I’d definitely recommend this product.

Everything about this was exceptional! The quality, the packaging, the instructions, and the variety of contents that you get. As soon as it arrived I knew that I would be buying another grow tent kit but even bigger after I broke this one in.

The hardest part of the whole thing was figuring out how/which way I wanted to have the exhaust fan, duct, and carbon filter. I might have missed it on the actual fan but if perhaps the fan itself were labeled with a small airflow direction indicator that would make it even easier.

Just be prepared that you might have to make some adjustments but other than that no complaints. It has definitely been engineered and manufactured to last. Plus the controller and app behind the whole thing is great! So easy to use and setup the different settings from timing of lights to how frequently the fans run or what temps and how hard the exhaust will run.

If you’re looking for an all in one setup look no further. Should you have questions or concerns customer service was great!.

This Grow tent kit is hands down the best kit you can get anywhere! The quality is grade A top premium, the equipment is top notch, the price is easily understandable and compared to the other others way more doable.

It’s compact size make it perfect for one plant and easily capable of stashing in a small closet or laundry room. I love it and I am already planning on getting one of the larger ones just for the luxury of doing multiple plants at the same time.

Oh yea definitely gonna upgrade my controller 69 Bluetooth to the 69 wifi as soon as it’s available to order.

I knocked a star because I wish the company would offer options to upgrade certain components of the kit like the light, as 200W isn’t sufficient enough if you want to try and go crazy with your grow; using everything to its max capabilities.

Other than that, everything is very solid and really enjoy this tent. I used a discount code for 10% off the entire purchase and was able to get the silencer included after shipping($629). for less that what I would have been paying (692) without the discount.

Arrived within 3 days in custom packaging that shows its a quality product and looks built to last years. Upon opening the panel it has the Spider Farmer markings and the build quality looks fantastic.

LEDs cover the board over what is a white background of highly finished coating. Two Meanwell drivers power the board with adjustable dimming options and the option of linking two or several units together.

Love the dimming option and the whole panel has 2 easy to assemble mounting cables with adjustable hangers, panel is nicely balanced for horizontal hanging. From initial power on the footprint was as expected for an LED board and although the lighting panel cost more than its HID alternative the extra lifespan, cheaper costs to run and less heat to deal with mean it should pay for itself within months.

I like it so much im considering getting another one as previously stated the footprint is less than its HID alternative but the board should run a 4 x 4 foot grow area with ease. Conclusion:- Quality Built Product, Dimming and Linking Option Is Great, Would Recommend A+++++++++.

Ive been using the purple color LEDs for about 5 years. The whole time thinkin I was getting the most bang for my buck. wrong! Quantum lighting is the way to go. Been running it for 3 weeks and can already tell a considerable difference.

Super bright, adjustable, and very little heat. Like the title of this review states, I wish I would have purchased a long time ago. So stop just looking at them in your watch list and dreaming, just buy the damn thing, youll be more than satisfied! If not, youll be left behind by all of those who do.

I bought a SpiderFarmer 4000w to replace my 1000 MH in my Moon Cabbage vadge room. I LOVE IT!!! I bought another one that I will use to replace the 1000 HPS in my Electric Lettuce flower room, and I’m going to by ANOTHER one because they use WAY less power than HID lighting and the LED’s run SO COOL that there won’t be a heat problem in my either of my rooms next summer! This is now my 3rd California Lightworks LED grow light. I bought my first Solar Storm 440 in 2015. I then added a second 440 in 2017. I’ve been more than happy with my Solar Storms and with the support I’ve received from California Lightworks.

Not only are their lights very well made- they’re made here in the USA, which was a big selling point for me. These lights have been great but I’ve always disliked the purple/pinkish light it put out.

Don’t get me wrong- I grew massive buds with those two units for years and they were solid workhorses, but it was time for an upgrade. Enter the SolarXtreme 1000. Granted, I’ve only had it in for about 3 weeks, I am more than impressed with the light it puts out.

Heat output is relatively low, keeping the “lights on” temps around 70 degrees in my tent. I’ll be starting a new grow in a few weeks and can’t wait to see how it does. Currently, it’s lighting my small citrus, fig and avocado trees before they get rotated outside now that warmer weather is finally upon us.

The lime tree is in the process of fruiting, as is the fig tree- both are setting fruit without any issues. I can’t wait to run my next medical grow with this light!.

I have used Vipar spectra par 600T’s (3) with great results I have a 10×12 grow room and I recently added the solar extreme 500 I have placed two viparspectra’s next to the one solar extreme to compare the plants during their flowering cycle, after 2 weeks all the plants are doing well the northern lights (2)plants under the one solar extreme have noticeably filled out more and seems to have produced more bud sites, the (2) lemon haze og plants under the viparspectra lights seem a little slower, however the lemon haze being sativa is naturally taller and thinner taking longer to mature than the northern lights so I will update at harvest time but at present the solar extreme seems to be a much better light.

Two viparspectra’ cost me about what one solar extreme costs ,they do pull 150 watts more from the wall than the solar extreme at around 400watts. All in all I may keep the viparspectra’s for spares and update the veg and flower rooms with the solar extreme line.

A few weeks to go to be sure but very optimistic about the solar extreme. Thanks to California light works who also seem to get my light to me by the time I requested which was really cool. So if u grow love your plants and listen to them they will tell u what they want! Peace!!!!!.

Overall very impressed and will be recommending to friends.

I would have given this light 5 stars but the “S” hooks are too large to easily raise and lower the light. You have to search for a link that will allow the “S” hook to pass through it. I like everything else about the light.

This grow light works well for basic application. This was my first grow light ever purchased.. had I done a little more research, I would have known 40w is not really enough for hydroponics growing.

I bought these back in March to grow vegetables seeds in my basement. They were right on time for planting early May. I am thrilled by this GE Grow brand, it really made my Spring!! Will buy more bulbs next year for more seeding.

We recently had a sunroom enclosed and the glass is UV protected so my plant were not getting enough sun nutrients. I added a couple of these lights on timers to run them while we were not using the room and my plants have exploded.

also we bring our citrus trees in during cold months and they all blossomed and are growing like crazy. i loved the light so much i also purchased a few more to put in my green house for winter months.

The units were easy to install and operate as described. The plants seems to ‘love’ the energy these lights generate as they are going much faster than I expected. One comment – monitor the plants carefully as the the distance from the plant to the grow light can cause the plants to wilt if the heat from the light is too high.

I have had to make adjustments twice.

I purchased 24 of these full spectrum LED lights and use them over the winter for our numerous indoor houseplants plants. While the plants spend the summers outside must be brought indoors for the cold winters here in Minnesota.

These lights keep my indoor plants very healthy and vigorous during our dark and cold winters! I highly recommend them!.

I’ve wanted a bar style light for a long time, but they were too pricey! Mars Hydro would not be my 1st pick, but they have stepped up their game. Light seems well made, but the instructions were lacking, and the dimmer doesn’t work.

I will be sending it back.

I own one of these, bought it in a crunch, a. c. broke and hps was pushing 90 degrees. This light rocks! It changed my view on lighting. It’s super bright, super cool and quiet running, well made, energy efficient and affordable.

One will fill a 3. 5×3. 5 tent with flowers. Two could probably flower 3. 5 x7 or overlap to 3. 5×6 nicely. The reflector approach works really well, bounces light everywhere. These lights effortlessly germinate and pull up super healthy plants, something harsher lights can’t do.

Yes, I would definitely recommend these to my friends, including my friend Bruce Lee.

No more dark Corners light is bright then the thousand watt HPS I was running should have bought this a long time ago I’d recommend this light to anybody that’s personally growing

These are simply bright lights that give the plants exactly what they need – LIGHT. The versatility of these lights are endless and they last for years. Running some of these for over 3 years, 12 hours a day and still working flawlesly.

I have several flat against a wall, to give light to hanging plants; I have others under cabinets, some in greenhouses, some hanging above plants, some to enhance terrarium light. The thinness of the panel makes them extremely versatile.

I’ve been ordering these flat panels from apluschoice for several years and while the price has increased slightly, I still find these lights to beat out the fancy so-called grow lights, with dimmers, fans and other unnecessary gadgets.

I have over 300 plants in my house and yes, I use other lights as well, but these panels are my favorite and judging from plant growth, my plants are happy with them too. Don’t get roped in by “gadgets” on grow lights – get something that actually works, like these panels.

I bought these for my Venus Flytraps, which require a minimun of 4 hours DIRECT sunlight. I was skeptical about buying them. However I’ve had them under the leds for about two weeks now, their new growth is healthy and has very good coloration you only get with bright light.

These leds pull 22 watts and are very cool. I have them completly covering a fishtank. (to keep my cat out) and the fishtank only gets to about 85 deg F. and its August in AR. I receved 2 panels unharmed however.

I am still waiting on a replacement for a third that was damaged in shipping. the panels are shiped in a bag not a box. with alot of shiping being automated the chances of it being crushed by another shipment are probably pretty high.

Giving 3 stars for now as I just received the unit and already am not impressed. THE GOOD: -The light is very bright and my plants appear black under it, so I hope it will help my plants grow in the next few months, only time will tell).

-It lights about a 16″x16″ very well and less so further out. -Very simple. No buttons or control. THE BAD: -The light is VERY thin, so much so, that it was warped before or during shipping. This doesn’t affect its ability to turn on and off, but was difficult to hang with the weird warping.

-No hanging kit, clips or any other accessories included. Disappointing as I thought a mounting kit was included (I used fishing line and a ceiling hook I had on hand) -No power switch so you must unplug to turn off (which is only a pain because of where I have my plants set up).

-Very simple. No buttons or control. (I listed this as both a pro and con as some may like the simplicity).

I looked for it one day, and picked it up for a minute, but thought the package was too light, so I put it back. It also seemed like too high a price. But, I looked online for a day and ended up back in the store, & this time I bought it.

It’s exactly what I needed, a bit smaller size to fit in my space. Tubing is sturdy, use a rubber mallet to connect. The light is a good quality grow light, too. No regrets!.

Good all around set up. Seedlings took off no problem. The frame and pull string works pretty well. Worth the money.

As others have mentioned, there are no useful instructions included. Other than that, I believe this lamp has really helped my my seed starts to grow, especially since the last month has been too cold and wet to safely transplant most of my starts outside.

I am satisfied with this purchase, but having real instructions would have initially saved me a lot of time.

A great plant light. Fully adjustable. My plants are going to be very happy to have this (especially during the winter months). Easy to set it up (even without instructions)! Not so easy to figure out how to run it.

Had to guess. I would’ve appreciated it if instructions had been included.

These are awesome for greenhouses or larger plant areas in your home where your plants want more light but can’t handle the heat. This is also great for use in winter time to keep all the plants brought in from the outside alive.

I got this one because a friend has one and it was working well for him in a 3×3 tent. It may be a bit small for a 3×3 in flower but I am impressed with the light none the less and I will run this crop out to see how it goes with 4 plants in a 3×3 , I liked the fact that I could remove the driver and the dimmer and place them out of the tent to reduce the heat put out by the combination of the 3 pieces.

I recently bought a used complete grow kit and I wanted to say thank you for having such quality items and doing such a great job making your products in such a pleasure to have. Im saving up so I can buy a bigger one from you guys before Christmas I thoroughly enjoy the results of my garden so far.

I like how you can hook up to 8 lights on each other. It has all you need in the box to hang it properly. Size is perfect for any tent. Only had it about a week so don’t really know any real results just yet, but I’m thinking it’s helped my plants tremendously.

Looks flimsy but it is only a plant grow light. Easy to setup just plug in press the ON button. Plant is okay under it.

These grow lights are awesome. I bought five of them to put in different rooms for my plants. I have had other grow lights before and always found the light to be garish- even ones labeled as “warm white”.

This light emits a nice soft warm white light similar to a regular lamp, so you don’t feel like you don’t really want to be in the same room with it, like so many other grow lights. More importantly, my plants are loving it! My oxalis has filled out.

It’s lush and beautiful looking- and better yet, has started blooming on the side near the lamp. It has never bloomed on the side not facing the window in the five years I’ve had it! My various philodendron species, Sanseverias, Pepperomias, etc.

have all started pushing out lots of new growth since I started using these, and it’s only been a few weeks! I know these are more expensive than a lot of other grow lights, but they are sooo worth it.

I’ll never use anything else again.
