Using a Keurig coffee maker is simple. Just pop in a coffee pod, choose your cup size, and press brew. But what kind of coffee should you use in a Keurig Can you just use any ground coffee, or does it need to be a special kind.
The answer is that you can use any ground coffee in a Keurig, but there are some things to keep in mind. The coffee grounds should be a medium grind, and they should be packed loosely into the coffee filter.
If the grind is too fine, the water will have trouble getting through and the coffee will be weak. If the grind is too coarse, the coffee will be too watery.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Keurigs use a lot of water, so you’ll want to use a coffee that has a strong flavor. A light roast coffee will be more watery and have less flavor, while a dark roast coffee will be more full-bodied and have more flavor.
So, to sum it up, you can use any ground coffee in a Keurig, but it’s best to use a medium grind and a coffee with a strong flavor.

Community Coffee Breakfast Blend Coffee Keurig K Cup
Community Breakfast Blend ground coffee is an aromatic, medium roast sure to awaken your senses and follow with a smooth finish. For use in all KEURIG K-CUP brewers. Smooth and bright. Sourced and roasted with four generations of family care.
Community Coffee Company has sold rich, smooth coffee since 1919.
Alert fellow coffee snobs! If you find blonde roast coffees a too mild and dark roast coffees too harsh, then give Community Med-Dark a try. It is a great blend of medium roast with some dark roast in there also and I find it a perfect roast blend.
I have shared a few K cups this coffee with family members and they have all loved it. If you like most medium roast coffees you will love this one – it’s got a little something extra over straight medium roasts like Dunkin’ or most donut shop coffees but it is not harsh and burnt tasting.
If you are looking for a new coffee, give this one a try!.
For more than 50 years, Jacobs Kroenung has presented itself as one of the most popular filter coffees in Germany and has impressed coffee connoisseurs with its unmistakable aroma. Pamper yourself with a cup of Jacobs coffee.
Open your eyes to all that lies ahead of you. Focus on your lifelong dream – and wake it up. Jacobs supports you in all of this.
As the title says, it’s one of our favourite coffees. Difficult to get in the UK, so over the moon to be able to order some as a Christmas present for hubby! The flavour is rich and strong, yet rounded.
Perfect for any time of the day. Once opened it’s best kept in a completely airtight container to maintain the flavour and freshness. The original pack is vacuum sealed for ultimate freshness.
This coffee is fantastic! IT has a smooth flavor, it’s not bitter like Maxwell House, and has a smoother taste than Folger’s. That was my favorite coffee prior to trying this. It’s imported (Germany) but it is SO worth the money – and getting it in a 6-pack like this is a great find.
IF you can find it in local stores (Jungle Jim’s around Cincinnatti, or sometimes Big Lots will have) you’ll only see it in single packs. Whatever you do, TRY THIS!.
My favorite coffee I have been drinking Jacobs Krönung for over 50 years! When I first came to the United States In 1967 I could not find it here, my Family used to send it to me! So I’m happy now!
Espresso Italiano is a 100% Arabica blend perfected by Lavazza to produce a rich, classic Italian espresso however you brew it. Since 1895, the Lavazza family has been devoted to the pursuit of coffee perfection.
True Italian coffee taste: our passion, your pleasure.
Love this coffee. It is very smooth, aromatic with good quality and taste. It’s nice and intense with no bitter aftertaste and a good all rounder. Great to have either by itself or with milk. The trick is getting the correct quantity when making it.
Mix two tablespoons in a small cafetiere, stir well, leave for four minutes and its perfect to enjoy. Great value for money.
I liked the intensity of this one – there was some fruity flavour to it in the background. I think I have switched brands and Lavazza is my favourite now. So many variations to choose from too. Everyone has this in the morning at ours.
I will be getting a few different ones to make hampers for coffee addicted work colleagues!.
It’s no accident that Lavazza is Italy’s favorite coffee. Four generations of the Lavazza family have dedicated over 120 years to finding the best blends of coffee beans from all over the world to provide you the authentic Italian experience.
The Lavazza Qualita Rossa Ground Coffee Blend is no exception. A mix of Brazilian and African Arabica and Robusta coffees creates an intense medium roast with a rich aroma. You’ll note the persistent aftertaste following every full-bodied sip.
This blend is ideally brewed in a drip coffee maker or French press. Enjoy a true taste of Italy that is uniquely Lavazza.
Suggested Storage: After opening, store in a cool and dry place. Best before: see date shown on the side of the pack.
Reviews From Real Customers
hard to rate something like coffee bcs it’s down to personal taste but I never seem to enjoy Lavazza, either when tried in a cafe or at home. No discerning flavour that makes me want to drink it again, or enjoy it really and this was awful, had some weird slightly acrid dusty flavour to it.
i know, hard to describe but never buying that brand again. find the Asda Extra Special Java a much nicer flavour, full, fruity etc but this, meeeeeeeeeh no thanks. for flavour reference i can’t stand starbucks but don’t mind Costa or Dunelm or Nero.
We had high hopes after reading so many great reviews, and expected “creamy/smooth/chocolate” notes based on other reviewers – but this coffee was a major disappointment for us. We’ve tried preparing it several different ways in our Jura E8.
coffee, espresso, flat white, cappuccino. we changed the grind settings, aroma settings, water pour settings. but every single cup tasted sour/citrusy/bitter or just plain stale and weak. We cannot help but think of “Folgers” every time we look at the unfinished bag now.
I ordered these Lavazza Qualita Rossa beans to use in my bean to cup machine at home. I’ve previously used the ground version but freshly ground beans definitely add to the the freshness of the brew.
The Qualita Rossa is a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans which has a full bodied flavour, with a slight taste of cacao. I’ve found it to be quite versatile and it works equally well as an espresso or in a latte.
OUR FAN FAVORITE! The perfect combination – Irish Crème and Caramel collide in this medium roast coffee for the ultimate treat. A smooth-bodied coffee with low acidity, our fan favorite. Highlander Grogg creates moments to savor and an aroma that is truly unlike any other.
I purchased a variety of flavored coffees recently and couldn’t wait until my package arrived to try them. The first 2 flavors we brewed were Smores and Vanilla Caramel. They both were absolutely SUPERB.
Love the smell of the brewing coffee, as well as the delicious flavor. I couldn’t wait to open the Jamaican Me Crazy blend because that is the main reason I purchased coffee from you. When I visited the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Outer Banks Coffee Company had this flavor.
It was my absolute FAVORITE. Alas, they closed their business and I no longer had my favorite brew. When I searched the flavor online I was led to your company. What utter disappointment when I tasted this flavor.
At first I thought I received a batch that had NOT been flavored but I don’t know how that would have happened. Needless to say I’m truly saddened that your blend did not compare to the one I can no longer get.
Door County Coffee is the only coffee we purchase and drink; it is the absolute best there is anywhere. But this was a huge disappointment. The aroma is fantastic but the flavor was overpoweringly off.
It tasted like drinking perfume. Our guests could not drink it either. We had purchased the 6 pack and ended up cutting it with plain ground coffee using 1/4 of this to 3/4 of plain coffee just to make it drinkable.
This is the only bad experience we have ever had in purchasing Door County coffee for several years. We love all the other flavors we have tried and the people there are first class.
Contains 3 – 10oz. Cans Dark, pure, and flavorful, our bold blend is roasted and ground from the finest coffees in the world. No fancy equipment needed – just brew it and enjoy it your way. Using a secret blend of coffee beans, Gregorio crafted the beloved, rich flavors that consumers now recognize as Cafe Bustelo, an authentically Latin, espresso-style coffee.
A man consumed by wanderlust, Gregorio visited many Latin American cities throughout his lifetime, including the cultural capital of Havana, Cuba. He went on to be known for his espresso-style coffee and became one of the most prominent names within the Latin coffee community.
Cafe Bustelo is more than just coffee. Its bold energy and rich flavor transports you into the vibrant world of Latin culture. Generations connected over a cup of Cafe Bustelo and now it’s your turn to experience authentic sabor latino.
This has got to be the best decaf I have ever tasted. You know that distinctive decaf tang that you have to just accept when, like me, you LOVE the taste of real, straight black coffee, but have gotten to an age (or maybe just level of abuse) you just have to reduce your caffeine intake? Well… there’s none of that! NONE! It tastes better than most fully caffeinated canned coffees.
Okay, it’s not the same as the kind of fresh roasted, hand picked organic beans I have the pleasure of normally, but it is a darn fine cuppa-Joe! it’s a heck of a lot better than any coffee I get out of my own house… AND IT’S DECAF! I can have as much as I want!!’.
This is seriously the best coffee ever. My husband and I adore the taste. It’s finely ground, and smells so delicious in the morning when we’re waking up! We love a dark roast and this delivers nicely.
We love how affordable it is. We drink ours black currently (intermittent fasting) and love it with half and half or heavy whipping cream. We bring it with us to hotels on vacation we love it so much.
About 15 years ago I found Cafe Bustelo on a bottom shelf at a dollar store. I bought one brick and went home to try it. It was great so I went back and bought every brick they had. Throughout the following years as I traveled across the world and U.
S. whilexactive duty military, I sought out and bought the espresso grind in the 36oz plastic canister do I always had some to share with friends and family. We all seemed to notice the decline together; the coffee started tasting burnt and stale even when made fresh.
It appears that others noticed the change too because now it is much hff harder to find a store that Carrie’s this coffee and when you do; it is so old that it is discounted and tastes horrible. Please bring back the beans that tasted so much better and stop increasing the price as the quality decreases.
You are gonna make me find another source of beans.
Our Pleasant Hill Farms, Ground Restaurant Blend is 100% Arabica, hand selected and full-city roasted Estate and regional coffees from Central and South America. This is top quality, vacuum-packed gourmet coffee at an exceptional price! The coffee is a medium-fine ground that works best for automatic drip brewers.
I have probably tasted over a 100-different brands of coffee and this is most certainly in the top 3%. Very robust and bold, yet flavorful. These people are doing a lot of things right to have such good quality coffee.
I have bought this from Costco but will be buying direct from them to get the decaf version. I don’t get some of the reviews about the price. Their prices are very fair considering their quality. Go buy some other generic brand if you are looking for value in your coffee.
My family would buy the big gold bag at Costco while living on the west coast. A cross country move left us with a dilemma – we couldn’t find our go to coffee anywhere. Fortunately we were able to set up a subscription to SF Bay Coffee and have that feeling of home again – no matter where we are.
It’s a medium roast that makes your kitchen feel like a diner by the sea. Perfection.

I am enjoying my first cups of Bones Coffee. Bananas Foster flavor. I bought the coffee because I’m a sucker for skull and bones hallowening advertising and after I ordered it I read a bunch of reviews and got very skeptical.
I am no where near a coffee snob so my opinion may be invalid to some. But I do enjoy a good cup of coffee and this here is delicious. I had a cup with milk and sugar and I taste the desert flavor I taste a hint of banana and vanilla I then put some over ice with Carmel and milk and WOW! I’m in love.
A cup of coffee desert for breakfest. I can’t wait to try my second bag Shark Bite!!.

I drink medium roasts. This Classic is mellow, smooth with no aftertaste. Very enjoyable (as opposed to cheap store brands). I brew this for guests and receive many compliments. For myself, my normal is Hazelnut or vanilla.
But with guests, I drink this as well. Are you not getting the desired brew? a. Melitta ground coffee is FINELY GROUND and brews stronger as per instructions. Please pay attention to the can instructions for strength.
*tip- more grounds usually results in a bitter cup, not bolder flavor. b. compare YOUR OWN COFFEEMAKER brew QUANTITY. Some makers brew a 5 OZ. CUP while other makers brew a 6 OZ. CUP. c. remove basket of grounds within 5 minutes of brewing, as the remaining drips will make your coffee bitter and not stronger.
d. Run tests on water measure. Always use the same measure of water using the same every time, while adjusting the TEASPOON measure of ground coffee to receive your desired strength. This will take several cups of coffee, so only make a consistent half batch each time until you reach HAPPINESS! After a full day of my experiments, I have consistent cups of coffee daily 🙂 with all flavors of MELITTA 🙂 – My personal results proved that my maker brewed less than it advertised.
Have fun drinking while you are testing!! I will accept emails for questions or input. THANK YOU, MELITTA.
My story about Melitta Coffee… In 1977, I got my first job out of college in Southeast Alaska in Juneau. I had to work shift work and was out in the elements periodically. The weather in Juneau is rather diverse.
That’s a nice way of saying it’s cold, wet and windy. A friend I worked with occasionally introduced me to Melitta coffee. It became my favorite instantly. After 3 years I transferred back home to the southeast.
Better weather but no Melitta. Once I retired, we traveled the entire US and Canada over the years and searched for Melitta. Not one can was found. So in 2023, I searched online for the delicate brew and was successful.
Within a few days, I sat with a hot cup of Melitta in front me. Would it be the same as it was 45 years ago? It certainly was!!! I’m having a cup right now.
I have been drinking Melitta for at least 25 years, maybe longer. It is one of the best. I ordered the first time online, recently. The delivery was quick and the product was in order and intact. I would recommend this brand highly.
It is not bitter and has a very smooth taste. You have to decide how much of a heaping scoop you will use to decide your acquired taste. It is very smooth with no acidic taste. Enjoy this coffee as you would at a coffee house but inside your own home.
The folks making a decision whether to buy it, I will say this “Your first cup won’t be your last. “.
Its no accident that Lavazza is Italys favorite coffee. Four generations of the Lavazza family have dedicated over 120 years to finding the best blends of coffee beans from all over the world to provide you the authentic Italian experience.
The Lavazza Qualita Oro Ground Coffee Blend is no exception. A mix of Arabica varieties from Central America and African highlands creates an extraordinary medium roast with an intense aroma. Youll note the sweetness and golden crema with every full-bodied sip.
This blend is ideally brewed as a traditional Italian espresso but is versatile enough to work with a drip coffee maker, French press, moka pot whatever your favorite method of brewing may be. Enjoy a true taste of Italy that is uniquely Lavazza.
I bought these Lavazza espresso barista intenso beans to use in my bean-to-cup machine as we are keen coffee fans in our house. The beans produced a lovely, full-bodied coffee with a good crema. The coffee has a lovely aroma and the taste has a hint of chocolate.
The beans are a combination of Robusta and Arabica, and are well blended and roasted to give just the right balance. The large 1kg bag provides good value, and I’m pleased I opted to try it. I’m looking forward to trying this coffee in an Espresso Martini!.
Upon recommendation we tried Lavazza Espresso Barista Perfetto. It was enough unlike Pienaroma that we needed to find another. The Espresso Italiano is more to our liking (still unlike our favorite–Pienaroma) but closer.
It grinds more evenly than the Barista did–our Vario Baratza grinder is happy at the manufacturer’s recommended setting for espresso. The Barista Perfetto was all over the place in settings. We had to set it super coarse when fresh and chase the setting towards finer and finer as it aged.
For reference a 2. 2 lb. bag only lasts us a couple of weeks and we store the open bag in the freezer. The Barista Perfetto always tasted thin. We could not get the richness of the Pienaroma. The Espresso Italiano is closer, and we are still experimenting.
For context: I only drink americanos instead of drip-coffee from a coffee machine, and milk-based drinks instead of straight espresso. I have tried just about every Lavazza whole bean coffee, and this one is by far the worst.
I found the flavor to be on the darker side, which is not a bad thing. But when that is coupled with bitterness, that’s just a deal breaker for me. Obviously, these characteristics are more pronounced as an americano.
As a latte or cappuccino it was more palatable thanks to the softening of the taste from the milk and foam. Nevertheless, whatever chocolatey and nutty notes this coffee may have, they are too subtle to appreciate, especially with the bitterness that is present.

I grew up drinking Folgers’ Classic coffee — more with each kid I had. Somewhere along the line, I realized that coffee has properties that can be analyzed; I started experimenting. Eventually, I found that I’m just not a fan of “flavored” coffees; I read someone’s review of one of the flavored coffees, and she said she was going to stick with her longtime favorite, Brazil Bourbon.
So, I tried that one. I have finally found MY coffee. The 32 oz bags are on back order though; I have subscribed to the small bags but want the larger size.
I have become a big fan of Community coffee over the past 3 years. I began by purchasing your Columbian Altura ground coffee. I have tried the American Classic also. This Private Reserve whole bean Columbian is really smooth and as advertised, has a “winey” taste.
I know true coffee aficionados would gasp, but I use flavored creamer in my coffee. This Private Reserve Columbian does play well with my flavored creamer, but overall I prefer the Columbian Altura over this.
I like grinding whole bean coffee now that I have a budget grinder, because the coffee has a much better taste and is much fresher. I would like to see you all carry the Columbian Altura in whole bean 32 oz.
size. In conclusion, I would recommend this Private Reserve Columbian whole bean, so give it a try. It’s just not my overall favorite.
Everyone’s tastes are unique and I write this understanding this. I purchased this selection as a comparison to the Company’s Evangeline Blend. I feel that the Louisiana Blend is similar, but lacks the “bite” and pungency of Evangeline.
In other words, this blend is more “mellow” – It also could be described as less “brightness”. Please accept my comments as a layman, and not a connoisseur. One can’t go wrong selecting either blend.
Carefully sourced from higher-altitude regions to capture the flavor of a more delicate and sweeter coffee bean, our American Classic blend highlights distinctive notes of vanilla and cocoa. At origin, the coffee is selectively harvested to allow time to develop its full vibrancy resulting in a sweet clean finish when roasted.
This well-rounded blend truly embodies a classic American coffee taste profile.
Its no accident that Lavazza is Italys favorite coffee. Four generations of the Lavazza family have dedicated over 120 years to finding the best blends of coffee beans from all over the world to provide you the authentic Italian experience.
The Lavazza Crema e Gusto Ground Coffee Blend is no exception. A mix of Brazilian Arabicas with African and Indonesian Robusta coffees creates a rich dark roast with an intense, fragrant aroma. Youll taste hints of chocolate with every full-bodied sip.
This blend is ideally brewed as a traditional Italian espresso but is versatile enough to work with a drip coffee maker, French press, moka pot whatever your favorite method of brewing may be. Enjoy a true taste of Italy that is uniquely Lavazza.

This is 70% robusta and 30% arabica (rather than Qualita Rossa’s 30% and 70%) which means it’s got quite a lot more caffeine in. It does a pretty good espresso in my moka pot, keeps me going better through the day.
I have it with some sugar neat – it is a bit bitter but classier than a lot of supermarket own-brand dark-roasted espresso coffee which you’ll gag on. This is comparatively merciful, a bit harsh but it’s got a good aftertaste and it’s mixed with some of those Lavazza sweet liquoricy arabica flavours.
I suspect it’s a bit too bitter for ‘long’ drinks i. e. where you add milk etc, but I don’t know for sure.
Lavazza Creme Egusto is my idea of coffee heaven. It really does pack a punch and you absolutely can tell from the smell and aroma that it’s definitely going to be strong. This as an espresso is fantastic, or if your preference is a cafetiere with or without milk you can’t go wrong.
A beautiful blend with a hint of spice that gives it a very distinct and unique flavour.
This is my favourite ground coffee I have tried so far. It is strong without being bitter. I didn’t think it would be as creamy as it is- I don’t usually drink my coffee black but you just don’t need milk with this.
I tried it with and without and definitely preferred it without. Will definitely purchase again.
The blend that started it all. Roasted to deep, dark perfection, this signature Dark Roast has a rich, bold flavor that has been a family tradition for generations. Made from only 100% select Arabica coffee beans.
Four generations later, the Community Coffee family is still selecting, roasting and perfecting great-tasting blends for coffee lovers everywhere. From sourcing beans at coffee farms around the globe, to tasting the finished product at their own kitchen table, it’s all part of their commitment to being the best coffee company in America, every day.
Door County Coffee The notes of rum and vanilla are perfectly shaken (not stirred) to craft this Jamaican-inspired concoction. This smooth, low acidity medium roast boasts a flavorful sensation that takes your mind on a trip to the relaxing beaches of Jamaica.
I love Caramel coffee and have looked every where for a true Caramel coffee that isn’t mixed with Vanilla or some other flavor and happened to find this Heavenly Caramel flavored coffee and decided to give it a try, I am happy I did as it’s a true Caramel flavor that’s strong enough that you can taste the Caramel and the aroma is very nice when brewing.
I can write that this is one of the best Caramel coffee’s that I have had and it taste like actual Caramel and I can use it to make my own Latte’s , Frappe’s and many more drinks I make at home. The only downside is the price and count of pods in the box, I wish it cost less and more pods in the box, other than that the Coffee itself is super great tasting with no bitter after taste and super awesome Caramel Taste ! I will order again when on sale.
If looking for a really good Caramel flavor coffee try this one , you’ll love it.
I wish I had the time to review every single flavor of coffee I have. Breakfast Blend has to be the favorite of myself and also of my family and company when they come to visit. It is just a good all around wonderful blend and goes good every day all day with everything.
With that said, I need to mention that I currently have 10 different flavors of Door County Coffee K-cups in my carousel besides the aforementioned Breakfast Blend. There is never a lack of choices for enjoying a different flavor.
They are all marvelous in their own way. Sinful Delight, Almond Toffee, Highlander Grogg, Jamaican Me Crazy, Heavenly Caramel, Vanilla Creme Brule, Caramel Pecan Scone,Classic Cinnamon Roll, Frosted Cinnamon Bun, Turtles In A Cup are all my favorite choices.
I love flavored coffees and I love variety. As I said, I wish I could write a review on each one but I’d be at my computer all day. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the choices from DC Coffee.
I just go with my personal preferences and stay within those parameters. Next to be reviewed is the quick service when ordering on line. Besides being a total convenience, easy to maneuver through your shopping and check out, you get your order in a few days.
It comes with a single pot brew of some flavor as an appreciation gift. How totally swell is that?!! Truly, you have to experience Door County Coffee. It’s a great adventure to visit the store and a total joy to drink the wonderful blends and you really can not beat the service.
I don’t really notice a caramel taste when I drink this flavor. It smells like caramel when I brew it, but it doesn’t seem to carry over to the flavor very much. On the plus side and for me it’s a big plus – I love the smooth and rich taste! No acid, just mellow and rich with a good flavor.
So even if I can’t taste the caramel, I still enjoy it very much!.
The Gavia story began over a hundred years ago with brothers Jos Mara and Ramn Gavia. Seeking a better life, the two brothers left their homeland in the Basque region of Spain and travelled to the rich coffee-bearing soil of the southern Cuban mountains.
It was on this productive land that their plantation, Hacienda Buenos Aires, began its reputation as the centre of the region’s coffee community. As a boy, Don Francisco worked in the fields with his own father, watching and learning the secrets of growing quality coffee.
He spent hours upon hours helping the field hands sow the seeds and urgingthe little plants to grow. Don Francisco also learned how to pick and dry the beans and slowly, over time, how to judge which were the very best quality and which were not.
From that day to this, only the highest quality beans are ever chosen for roasting under the Gavia label. Today these same traditions live on in the Gavia company. Don Francisco’s four children – Jos, Leonor, Pedro, and “Paco” – who also grew up on the plantation, learned the art of growing coffee from their father.
The company, now in America, reaps the benefits that come from this family’s experience on their land. It is rare, indeed, for a coffee to come from a family company that pioneered one of the early coffee plantations.
It is even more rare to find a coffee company managed by people born and raised in the artful profession. Beginning with their dedication to selecting the best coffee available, to offering it at a fair price, the Gavia family provides the best value in the business today.
We love it so much we bought 6 canisters of it to get us through winter. I must confess I’m a creative flavored coffee connoisseur (Same with my cooking). I mix this with Kauai Coffee Coconut Caramel Crunch Hawaiian Ground Coffee (also on Walmart.
com) and add it to Jose’s whole bean fresh ground medium roast coffee as the base. Prepare to have your socks blown off! It’s the best cup of coffee on the planet! If you want to add yet another layer of flavor throw in a small scoop of Folgers Chocolate flavored ground coffee (also on Walmart.
com). I add Calafia Toasted Coconut Almond milk as my creamer with a scoop of unflavored collagen peptide powder and a dash of maple syrup or honey for sweetness (I use a milk frother to mix it all together) It’s a creamy-dreamy morning treat!.
I have always loved the aroma and taste of hazelnut – and this particular blend is scrumptious! I love it! Just the ambiance that this ads to the home in the morning makes waking up more lovely! The small details like this turn a house into a home.
I can’t wait to try the Don Francisco’s Reserve Hazelnut Cream, also. I notice that a few people have mentioned that this is a super strong coffee. The strength of the coffee is determined by the ratio of coffee to water.
In my coffee maker, I can make this a lighter blend by adding 2 scoops — and 3 for a stronger blend. Not only do I love aesthetics and details that make the everyday more special — but I’m practical, I love the value of this.
Thank you for creating a quality product at an affordable price. This will keep me brand loyal! Thank you, Don Francisco! Awesome!.

Tried this coffee for the first time this morning. I have a filter coffee machine which turns out beautiful coffee but this coffee had a horrible smell and a dreadful taste. It is so bad I am going to return it.
I feel it’s on the slightly acidic side compared to 4, which has a better balance. Don’t soak too long in a French press. Overall, cafe direct is still my go-to for ground coffee as it’s the best bang for buck.
My husbands preference is his stove top Bialetti Moka but faced with the cafetier this is his favourite ground coffee by a long way. It was out of stock around Christmas and I had to buy Eat Your Hat which lacked the strength and depth of this and was instantly noted.
The best coffee I’ve ever had was in Vietnam and I was hoping this would be the same as what I had there. For context, I’m an advocate for black coffee. I tried three different brewing methods: Chemex, phin and cold brew.
For the Chemex, I did not adjust the amount of beans in accordance to how much caffeine was advertised on the bag. After an hour, I felt coffee jitters. However, the taste was very mild compared to what I’m used to, in my opinion, it tasted like popcorn.
For the sake of authenticity, I made a cafe sua da with a phin. I thought it was very delicious, but as a person who prefers black coffee, I could not have this regularly. Lastly, I did the cold brew method.
In my opinion, I think this is the best way to extract the full flavours of this bean. It has a very chocolatey and caramel flavour, without adding anything extra. Additionally, it has a very clean flavour and mouth feel (if this makes sense).
If you have the patience, I would highly suggest doing this method, for it was the closest to what I had in Vietnam. I’m giving it 3/5 because the method I prefer takes the longest. If you like to add sweetener and/or cream to your coffee then this is a great bean for that.
This coffee tastes so good! It’s rich and bold, yet smooth. True grit stays tasty even after it cools, so it’s great for taking to work to sip on, although it tastes best to me when hot and freshly brewed.
Be careful how much you serve yourself, it really is 2x stronger than most coffees! If you drink too much you might feel a little weird and it wastes the coffee if you have more than you need anyway.
(If you like a bigger coffee, make it lighter with less water rather than lots of grinds. ) Will keep this on hand for my daily coffee! It is perfect to keep me lively. :).
Because I’m not a Robusta coffee person, I wouldn’t say that I’d drink it on its own. However, if one wants to make his/her/their own lattes with it, I’d say that the Loyalty blended beans would be a good one to start off with.
I apologize if I don’t know what coffee is, but I will admit that I’m not a fan of beans that look pretty dried out as opposed to glossy, which I am used to seeing in South American based coffee. So if you’re a fan of Robusta and/or any coffees perfect for making lattes with, I’d say give it a go! Otherwise, if you’re looking for beans that you can make fresh black morning juice out of, I’d say try something else.
Overall, the Loyalty bag isn’t a bad bag. It’s just not my cup of coffee.
When it comes to making a great cup of coffee, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. The perfect cup of coffee is a personal preference, and everyone has their own method for making it. However, there are some general tips that can help you make a great cup of coffee, no matter how you like it.
One important tip is to use fresh, quality coffee beans. This is especially important if you are using a Keurig machine, because the coffee grounds will be exposed to hot water for a shorter amount of time.
This means that the coffee beans need to be of a higher quality in order to produce a great cup of coffee.
Another tip is to experiment with different grind sizes. The grind size can have a big impact on the flavor of your coffee. If you are using a Keurig machine, you will want to use a medium grind size.
This will help to ensure that the coffee grounds are evenly extracted and that the coffee is not too bitter.
Finally, it is important to let the coffee brew for the appropriate amount of time. If you are using a Keurig machine, the coffee will be ready in about 2 minutes. However, if you are using a traditional coffee maker, it is important to let the coffee brew for 3-5 minutes in order to extract the full flavor from the coffee beans.
Overall, there is no one perfect way to make a great cup of coffee. However, by following these general tips, you can be sure to make a delicious cup of coffee that is tailored to your personal preferences.
