Naked Armor scores again !!! Ok guys so iv gotta tell you this piece of kit is fantastic !! Iv used quite afew straight razors over the last year searching for a perfect shave and Naked Armors solomon straight razor is definately one of my favorites.

Its not too weighty but feels balanced in the hand. Cuts smoothly and sleekly even through my iron hard stubble with ease. It was packaged well in its box and supple leather carry pouch and was just sheer pleasure to open up wipe off and go straight to town on having a silky smooth shave (not easy on my neck i assure you).

So if your looking for a great starter to intermediate straight razor thats razor sharp out of the box but forgiving in your shave technique then this is the blade for you. Thanks Naked Armor you didnt let me down !.

The box came in perfectly great condition with all items intact. The instruction manual gave great insight on the items provided and even came with a card which could get you a free shave soap if you provided feedback, unfortunately that website didn’t allow for proper verification of the order.

The only part which is hard about learning to straight shave is getting past the fact your peripheral vision is skewed on your dominant side for shaving and is hard to see your starting point. I’ve been stropping my razor each time before use to ensure sharpness and accuracy, but there’s no explanation for what the blue eel side should be used for.

The Solomon blade is a perfect starter blade point for beginners, it offers less chance of knicks and cuts like other shapes may be prone to. I suggest starting with this blade before moving on to more advanced one’s to prevent injury.

The only other video of shaving I would suggest is how to best get the ideal 30° angle perfect for shaving, not everyone is a good judgement of angle. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase and will continue honing my straight shaving skills to have better skin.

At their price point the steel is amazing to use. If you’re new then take the time to learn how to properly shave (yes it takes a bit to relearn your own face, especially with both hands) and strop your blade properly.

In the event that the blade slipped passed QC, the NA team will be on a fix about as quickly as you submit the ticket. My Solomon came shave ready, but it wasn’t as sharp as I felt it should’ve been.

I sent it back for a honing and it came back better than before, with no hassle. Now that my technique is better, my shaving sessions are enjoyable again. Pound for pound, NA will easily beat out similarly priced blades in their category.

If you’re already looking at a straight blade, dont spend money on a gold dollar razor. Unless you want something you’re going to sharpen yourself without fear of loss (I did this too, trust me that NA is better) then by all means.

But if you want a good quality blade without having to eat the large cost of a dovo or hart steel, go with the Naked Armor. It’s also worth getting the kit as well as the scuttle. Makes the whole process feel complete and the shaving ritual more pleasant.

This is not the same quality Arco Wahl clipper that they made in the past. They are no longer made in Germany. This clipper is made in Hungary. The charger base is cheaper made…& batteries did not last very long.

Not sure if the battery quality is poor or if the cheap charging base ruined both batteries. I have an older Arco cordless and charging base from early 2000 made in Germany that is still working and going strong.

It has outlasted this one (which after a year -when the warranty runs out by the way!) by far! A little over a year and with limited use both batteries were no longer charging to last more than a minute to three minutes at the most.

The clipper is an awesome cordless clipper but is of zero use without battery power to support it. I’ll include my OLD charger that is still charging my batteries like a new charger…& the crappy charger that now comes in this kit…& apparently ruins batteries?? Or the batteries are cheap.

Just be aware. (Pink is the new one-notice cord).

I am not a pro groomer so I can’t speak to this item’s use day in and day out but as a home groomer for a cocker spaniel and a yorkie, this quiet and efficient shaver/trimmer gets a+++ from both dogs.

The fact that it adapts to shave or trim quite easily using the same blade is great. The head is large enough to make clipping quick but still get into tight spots. The blade is sharp so that there is no pulling and so that it can be used to clip through mats (gently please) without giving a razor burn or pinch.

I see that it recommends to stop occasionally to allow the head to cool but I have never experienced it to heat up (i guess we take enough repositioning and rest breaks to keep it from overheating. ).

Additional “5 in 1” blades are readily available and reasonably priced. The blades really don’t wear out quickly if you clean and oil the shaver as directed after each use. Cleaning is a breeze (unlike with fixed blade shavers) and so it only takes a minute, literally, to completely clean both the shaver and blade assembly and oil the bade assembly.

The blade easily and quickly slips/clicks on and off the shaver. The shaver gets about 90 minutes of life out of the battery during normal use and the batteries recharge in less time than stated in directions so it’s nearly impossible to run out of battery between the two that come with the instrument.

as they start to age, of course, this may change. The shaver is so quiet that grooming is not the trauma it used to be with cheaper shavers. I always had a fight trimming around the face and between pads and the efficiency and stealth of this has all but eliminated the issue.

It is easy to hold and the round body facilitates holding it to achieve any angle of attack. It is light enough not to be awkward but has weight distributed well to handle comfortably. In other words, its a great fit for home groomers and the efficiency and noiseless operation reduce the pet’s stress.

To begin with; I am not a professional groomer, but I am not a beginner. I have groomed my high-strung little guy for years. I have trusted Wahl for human and animal products. I have owned these for approximately a year and used them 4 or 5 times.

They are completely useless at this point. The main issue is the housing where you slide the battery in is not tight enough. They have never been dropped, but by the vibration, the seams have loosened so when the clipper is turned the battery will lose contact and it slows to a crawl.

When it did work decently (1st two cuts) it took both batteries to finish. Just a garbage product, and not cheap. I broke down and bought a cheap clipper online, China made and it cut beautifully and only used 15% of the batter life for the same job.

I try to buy from American companies but this was an awful experience. I should have just set $125 on fire on my lawn, same thing.

Better haircuts right at home. After 5 months of Covid restrictions and having my son cut my hair twice I decided to buy the Wahl Deluxe kit and learn to give myself a haircut. Heck, my dad always cut our hair when we were young boys and it was fine then so why not now.

I’m pretty easy, #3 on sides, #4 around the middle, #6 up top. The hair clipper is easier to hold and cut with than I thought. I started making the cutting motions with it off then flipped the switch and repeated the same motion, perfect.

The softside case is nice feature, holds all the tools in one place and fits under the vanity with ease. The small trimmer is a real bonus, it’s razor sharp and makes straight, tight cuts on neckline, over the ears, and sideburns.

Put a #4 on it and great to eyebrow trimming. I find myself grabbing it after shaving just to make clean cut lines on my sideburns. That major hair cutting chain was getting me for $21. 00 + $4. 00 tip every 4 weeks.

The Wahl kit pays for itself in 2. 5 haircuts plus now I cut may hair every 2-3 weeks so it never gets too long.

The storage bag while nice did not give you an easy way to organize everything in the kit. A folding book of all the attachments would have been nice. All the plastic parts are black. Color coded parts for quick look to access would have been nice.

The buzzer vibrates more than it needs to. The clippers need be better counter balancing so you do not feel the buzz as an operator or as the person getting there hair clipped. A way to recharge batteries in the trimmer and a way to replace the batteries with a flip out battery compartment would have also been nice.

No cover to loose or misplace. This is basicly engineered like clippers from the 1950s with more plastic lower quality bag. The clippers did not feel balanced in my hand. NOTHING ABOUT THIS KIT SEEMS PRO QUALITY!! This does not seem like a product that has been continually improved over the last 50 years.

I ordered this due to Coronavirus quarantine restrictions which caused my husband and son not to be able to get their hair cut for a couple of months. I watched videos on YouTube and on the Wahl website that taught me how to cut and fade men’s hair and ordered this Wahl system because it had a complete set of guards that would make it much easier for someone who has never cut hair.

The product is awesome, and came with everything I expected. Their haircuts turned out much better than I’d imagined they would. My husband is so pleased that he wants me to continue to cut his hair at home (much to my chagrin) even after all this quarantine stuff has passed.

After a couple of months of cutting their hair at home, it has paid for itself. Now he has to give me the money for his haircuts instead of the salon, and I’m saving the money for my own spa day once this is all over! Great product, would buy it again and I’m very pleased.

Okay, this kit is great- I’ve already used it a couple of times on my husband’s and brother’s hair and it’s solid, comes with everything you need. I’m taking off two stars because of my overall purchase experience: originally bought this in-store, and took it home to use it only to find out the the kit had been opened and used already; everything was out of its original packaging, items were missing, the razor didn’t have the protective covering and there was HAIR all over.

SO GROSS. Someone had even taped OVER the original closure tape that you need to break in order to open the kit. The whole thing was disgusting and really turned me off of buying from Target, but my husband really wanted this particular kit, and Target had it the cheapest, so we returned the gross one (the employee who helped with the return didn’t even seem to care that it had been opened, used, and then returned by the way) and bought a new one online.

The new one was, thankfully, brand new with all parts unopened and in pristine condition. So: if you see this in store, I wouldn’t take the chance. Most likely it was a return, so just buy it online.

The product itself is great. I was very happy with the quality of the clippers, the attachments and the variety of accessories that came in the kit. Having a fancy barber’s cloth to drape over my victim was great! However, I was quite irritated by a small card that I found in the box.

It was a request from the company to take a survey, and they promised a free gift if I did so. I followed the link to the survey, gave them a glowing review, then followed the link at the end of the survey to get a free hair pomade.

There were two problems: (one) the discount code provided, which is meant to make the product free, doesn’t work, and (2) you have to pay $12. 95 shipping in order to get the product to your house. Overall, this false promise of a “free gift” has left a sour taste in my mouth for the Wahl company in general.

I don’t want to buy products from a company that feels the need to lure customers to their site to buy more stuff by pretending to reward them for making a purchase in the first place. I went from being very happy with my purchase to super irritated.

Definitely not ideal. [Tl;dr: wonderful product, but ignore the “free gift” insert, to avoid a big headache. ].

This is a nice little kit. I bought one for myself to see what it was like, because I wanted to get a manicure set for my daughter’s birthday. (amongst other things) I’m sure she’ll be happy with it! Oh! The sharp edges are VERY sharp, so keep that in mind.

I’ve been using this product for just over a year and bought a new handle recently (got the kit because I love the shave bar too! Won’t shave with anything else), because I left mine soaking in alcohol to clean (don’t, it’ll peel off the finish of the handle.

Still usable, but looks bad lol). But I would happily purchase this once a year to forgo the plastic ones- it’s better for the environment AND I have so much less razor burn. There’s a learning curve, but watch a few YouTube videos and take your time.

Now, I think I shave faster than with a ‘regular’ razor because I don’t have to get my hair out of it as much. I also use it on my chin and neck due to hirsutism from PCOS, and it gets a closer, smoother shave than anything else, no more being self conscious of having a 5-o’clock shadow! I highly recommend using a safety razor- and this kit is a fantastic place to start! The shave bar is unmatched, I’ve looked locally for something and can’t find anything that helps my skin the way this shave bar does.

Yes, like everyone else, I was terrified to use this. I read a couple of articles and watched a youtube video to see how to use this razor. And when I actually got in the shower, I was so nervous, I thought that I was going to peel a layer of my skin off.

This did NOT happen! Just go slow in little strips, especially when you’re trying to figure out the optimal angle. I’ve used this razor a bunch of times now and I absolutely love it. I have nicked myself a couple of times, but I didn’t even notice until after the fact.

They were small nicks, by my ankle and my knee, and they didn’t hurt. I know to be sure to slow down in those areas now. I’ve use the razor regularly on my legs, armpits and bikini area. And I almost don’t believe it, but it’s definitely a better shave than all the disposable razors I’ve forever used.

And I’m pretty sure that my legs stay smoother than they did before. I think the shaving bar works fairly well. I have very sensitive, dry skin and at first, I didn’t think it made the cut. My legs felt irritated after the shower.

But that was only in the beginning, when I believe I going over the same spots too much, like I would with my terrible plastic razors. All hair is cut with one swipe with this razor. The soap doesn’t lather as much as my previous shaving cream, but it seems like it doesn’t need to.

I’m glad to be able to be cutting out both my razor and shaving cream with this kit. Oh, I also think the razor itself is beautiful. It’s metal and rose gold and sleek and heavy, and I feel fancy holding it.

You probably have something laying around the house that you can dispose of the blades in. I’m currently storing mine in an empty cream container. I’m not sure how I’m going to dispose of the container when it’s full, but I’ll deal with that later.

I’m super happy that I made the jump to the safety razor, even though it scared me. The shave is amazing and I’m reducing my plastic usage.

I was very skeptical about using a safety razor at first…and quite frankly, pretty nervous. I have come to love this razor! It is a good excuse to take a little “me time”. The more you do it, the quicker you get.

I get a nice smooth shave, and it lasts a couple days. I would highly recommend everyone to get a safety razor. It’s also way less expensive than buying new replacement razors for the “normal” razors.

The replacement razors themselves are very inexpensive. On top of that, there is no plastic waste from them. Pair it with the shaving soap bar and you’re good to go! :).

The Braun Silk-epil 9 Flex 9030 arrived in a very luxe setting. The rose-coloured bag and accompanied accessories displaying value for money. Being a relative newbie to epilating, I had allowed for hair growth to occur in order to be able to best assess its capabilities.

My first foray did not go, however, as expected. I had been a touch to eager in assessing the required length of hair for removal. The experience was sharp and perhaps belonged to a horror story genre.

But, fear not, rather than having to leave just a single strip of hairless leg out in the open I discovered the shave and trim attachment which managed to rectify my issues. Now accompanied by the recommended length of hair on my legs, I was once again able to recommence my epilator journey.

The flexible head made movement easy and almost painless. The light function steadily guided my pressure and path in the evening hours and I was able to render my legs hairless in under 20minutes. Easy to clean, very smart in appearance, and functioning so well that I still feel minimal returning hair after two weeks the Braun Silk-epil 9 Flex 9030 is now my go to hair removal device.

Bye, bye cheap razors and nicked knees. Hello time, reduced effort and dollars saved. Now, just to work out how to use the body exfoliation brush and I’ll be a right regular beauty blogger. In all seriousness – I wish I had gotten one of these sooner!.

I’ve been using braun epilators for years now, been through 3 different models and 3rd one only because it came with an IPL device I wanted to try. My daughter is using the previous one and it’s still going strong.

I ordered this one when it came up on offers and it was the first time I was aware of the flex and the senso light function. With my declining flexibility with arthritis over the last few years I wondered if it would be easier to get behind the knees etc and as it was on such a good offer, I thought I’d treat myself to an early birthday /Christmas present.

I’m so glad I did. That flex does make all the difference, you just hold the handle, which is much easier to hold by the way, and the head follows the contours of your legs. If you press too hard, the light turns red to warn you.

This alone has shown me that I was potentially not applying enough pressure on previous models as I always used them a little gingerly because early on I once caught some skin and cut myself with one, I now think that was down to not stretching /smoothing the skin enough.

I’ve never been brave enough to tackle under arms with epilator or the dreaded bikini area but I might just give it a (very tentative) go with this one as it does seem less painful than previous models too somehow.

I’m seriously considering buying another one as part of my daughter’s Christmas present now if she doesn’t come back with requests for anything else much. If this one lasts as well as the others, then I’d recommend it to anyone, maybe just wait till it’s on offer because I seriously can’t justify the full price.

Epilator: For the price and quality of this epilator, I assumed it would remove hair fastly and efficiently. Instead it took two hours, two speeds, and three attachments. I also took breaks to clean and remove hair from the epilator.

My legs were silky smooth in the end, but I expected better results using the massage roller cap on gentle speed (I had to follow up with the skin contact cap using default speed, to remove hair that was left behind).

I did use the shaver and trimmed before epilation. Compared to my mom’s 1980’s “Epilady”, it’s still a serious upgrade. Shaver: There are no clear instructions on how to remove the shaving unit for cleaning.

After attaching the shaving unit to the shaver head, it will not detach. The manual says “Do not clean shaver foil with brush. Shaver head can be cleaned under running water. For drying, remove the shaving unit.

Lubricate regularly. ” So how do I remove the shaving unit? I pull, but nothing happens. There is a “release” button for the shaver head, but not the unit? Face spa: Exfoliation is faster and more efficient using my hands or a washcloth than these brushes.

The only positive is that my skin felt smooth and less irritated using the brushes, compared to using a washcloth. Overall, I’m neither satisfied or dissatisfied with this product. I would appreciate a reply from a Braun employee on how to remove the shaving unit for cleaning, though.

The ShortCut Pro Self-Haircut kit changes everything with my shaving routine! It’s easy to use and easy to clean, and incredibly quick! What used to take me up to an hour with simple shaving razors now takes me only up to 20 minutes at most! The charging time seemed long, but the shaving time was so quick, so waiting isn’t an issue.

Cleaning the razor was a breeze too; the instructions given were clear as day, and I don’t see a problem in taking care of this great product for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely love this one. i started shaving my hair recently and this makes it easy for a sharp look with a weekly shave! well made, its my second unit. after about 2 years maybe the internal battery cannot be recharged? anyway most things break after 2 years anyway and there was no better solution in sight so I bought another one, will see how long the second one lasts.

As a first time user, indeed first time* cutting my own hair, I found this product easy and painless to use. No snagging or nipping was encountered, just a smooth and successful cut with each pass of the clipper.

You do need to go over the same area a couple of time from different directions to ensure all the strands are cut evenly but this only takes a few minutes. Wish Id bought this years ago now *Background: I have attempted to cut my own hair with scissors and a mirror once before and nearly taken my ear off, never again!.

Did the job. Or, rather, my girlfriend quickly mastered it. Anyway, we opened the box, oiled the cutting blade area as instructed, went with the most conservative cutting attachment, and I wound up with a “coronavirus cut” that was acceptable.

To be sure, it didn’t match “Great Clips” quality (all an old, balding guy like me ever needs), but that was my girlfriend’s first time, so she gets four stars while this kit gets five. I like the color-coded clipper attachments.

At a minimum, they build confidence in the user’s sense of “proceeding safely. ” The included scissors seem cheap, and we didn’t use them because I bought a separate, 3-scissor set (wanted good thinning shears).

Helpful Tip: Don’t wait for your hair to grow fully out. Start out using this as a “thin and trim,” because mistakes will be most pronounced if you or your lady cut and thus style a fully grown out head of hair.

I’ve usually been able to go about 50 days between cuts, but we did this at 35, and there was thus less anxiety. I did notice, about 12 or so days later, that she’d failed to layer-cut a couple areas toward the rear of my head.

She’ll learn, though, and we’re gonna go back out on her porch every month now, to cut it at the thin-and-trim level. I’m also glad that I was able to shop for price and found a demonstrably better deal here on Ebay than elsewhere.

Just what we needed during COVID-19. My wife used to do my hair when I was in the military, but when I retired, she retired from cutting my hair. But, now, with the Coronavirus, we are watching our exposure.

So, when we needed new drivers license pictures, this came in really handy. I would have rated it 5 out of 5 stars, but that goes to the Kirby Vacuum cleaner air driven/vacuum hair cutter. You see, one of the things that my wife dislikes the most about cutting my hair is the fine bits of hair everywhere.

A system that employs cut and vac in a light weight attachment to a small air tube seems to be the Gold Standard for us. This product is just shy of that by a whole star. That being said, good luck with manufacturers ever getting innovated in thinking outside the box enough to go with Kirby’s concept.

For now, and the past decades, this is your better bet; not too heavy, costly, or difficult, but just right in the ways that you might want.

easy-to use clippers. A little heavy, but not terribly so. I cut my son’s and husband’s hair; first-timer luck. Great results!! The color-coding was helpful on the blade guides. The quality of the blade guides and comb were lower than expected; some of the tines got warped out of alignment during shipment.

I had to use pliers to bend them back into alignment, and be very careful how to overlap the tines when I put them away for storage. The scissors seemed exceptionally lightweight, but I was amazed at how sharp they were and how well they cut hair.

Overall, we’re super pleased with our purchase. There were lots of hair-cutting video tutorials on the wahl website, but I actually found the general hair-cutting guidance provided in the package insert to be the most helpful.

I was torn between the Revival Medium Travel Kit and the Revival Large Travel Kit. I went for the medium thinking the measurements sounded about right. I really wish I would have gone with the large.

The opening not going to the edges makes this feel a little smaller than it is but it does keep things securely inside even if the pack is open. I will probably circle back and order the large and pass down the medium to my kids.

It really is a great travel kit though. I love the extra removable plastic pouch for spillables along with the elastic loops and small pockets under the opening flap.

So far I have found this to be the perfect kit to take to the gym. Shaver, shower soap, what I need for my hair fit with room to spare. I am pleased to let go of my much larger travel toilet kit. Next up: to see if the small travel kit will suffice for a week-long trip to Michigan.

The small travel kit is well-constructed with a sturdy, durable main zipper and a readily accessible zippered outside pocket. I especially like the design on the outside fabric, which has received rave reviews from others.

The zippered mesh sections inside the travel kit hold smaller items from travel-size toothpaste, floss, hair gel, hair brush, etc. and yet the kit remains relatively small and easy to carry or take up little space in my bag.

A very satisfying purchase.

Perfect size for a weekend or even more. Can fit so much in here. Love the removable plastic insert. Great for liquids that could potentially leak (I’ve had it happen). Love al the options for organization.

Keeps everything separate. I will always stand by Dakine products. This isn’t my first travel kit purchase.

The Braun Silk-épil Beauty Set 5 5-895 has potential but definitely has a few areas left to improve in. After reading the detailed instructions as this was my first time using an epilator, I decided that starting with the high frequency massage cap would be ideal seeing as it was described as being gentler than the skin contact cap.

I opted to do a wet shave in the shower. The first few slow glides up my calf were faintly painful but not unbearable. The issue was that while some of the hair had been removed not all of it was gone which left me feeling stubbly.

I made a second pass over those areas which was a bit more painful than the first time and I was disappointed to see that all of the hair was still not removed. Travelling over my knees, shin bone and ankle area were almost impossible due to the discomfort, though.

I switched to the high frequency massage cap partway through and unfortunately that attachment did not work better than the first one. My legs are red where the epilator successfully removed hair but was still left with random patches of hair.

The redness/swelling did subside overnight but my legs were definitely not silky smooth. One challenge to note when comparing to traditional shaving is that it was hard to determine what areas I had already gone over because of the lack of shaving cream to use as a guide.

The FaceSpa on the other hand is FANTASTIC! I love that it came with 4 attachments which makes it easy to suit any skin type and/or beauty need. I used the facial cleansing and exfoliation brushes several times and was pleased with how easy it was to switch between the two, clean each brush but the best part is how compact it is compared to my usual facial cleansing brush.

The smaller brush size made it easy to navigate my skin especially around my nose area and wasn’t harsh at ALL! I used a fraction of the amount of skin cleanser I normally use with. I used the beauty sponge attachment to gently apply my face cream after rinsing my face.

I have been using the Braun Silk-epil Beauty Set 5 5-895 for some time. This amazing starter 5-in-1 hair removal & beauty set works great for both face and body in both wet and dry. This set has tools which epilate, shave, trim, cleanse, exfoliate and apply creams and makeup and gives us a Salon-smooth skin and amazing results each time I use.

Since it can be used both wet and dry I have used the epilator in the shower several times and never faced any discomfort or pain ever. The epilator removes hair from the root for up to 4 weeks of smooth skin, and after I started using it I have to shave or epilate less and less and it has given me flawless smooth skin on all body parts, which I never possessed before.

I’ve been epilating for over 20 years (since I was a teen). As life has become busier, it’s been less convenient to set up the cord in a good location so I decided to upgrade to this cordless model (and keep my old one for emergencies as it’s never skipped a beat).

The Silk Epil 9 is so much better, I’m surprised at how well it works and cordless is just amazing. I’ve not used the accessories yet but it’s great to have so many options. Definitely recommend epilating (and I have a reasonably low pain threshold) and this is a great device.

I got mine first. Basically the same kit in a black case. My wife was coveting my set. So, I got this one for her. They call it a manicure set. But, actually it is a complete personal grooming set. The list of tools will tell you that this is set can do much more than clip your nails.

This set has a nice rose gold finish to it and comes in a very nice padded leatherette case. The cutting edges are nice and sharp. (Careful!) Great purchase. Five stars.

Ordered 2 thinking these would make great Christmas gifts for the guys in my life (hub, sons, Gfathers, Uncles etc etc). Once they came in though I realized two wasn’t enough. My husband already has his early so he would quit stealing my nail grooming tools lol.

It’s a hardy, well made set in a nice case. if you can catch it on the daily deal price, then awesome. If not. Original price isn’t bad either for the quality that is there.

I was disappointed with this purchase. Even with it being on sale with a $5 discount it was over priced at $15. From previous reviews that I read on this product the reviews presented the kit as a product for home use.

It would make a good travel kit something to have in case you needed something in an emergency but I would not recommend it for frequent use. The clippers are passable but everything including the clippers are on the small side and would not be a product I would buy for anything but as a travel kit.

Using it as a travel kit would be ok if you bought a file as the one in the kit is too smooth to be used as a file. Summary passable as a travel kit if you could get it for $10 not worth buying for frequent use or at the usual $19.

Grumpy opening: I don’t expect to buy a premium product and then have to search the internet for a written user guide. Having to open giant pieces of flimsy paper, then find the language I needed and still then having to decipher icons for the most minimum of information was not a great experience for me.

I hadn’t realised it until I received it; had I seen it in a shop I would not have bought it for that reason. Moving on. As far as the item itself, there is obviously a knack for optimal hair removal and it will take time to withstand the eye-watering discomfort produced.

I am persevering for the sake of personal dignity, but hope in my next life to be reincarnated as a happy and healthily hairy orangutang.

It works good when removing armpit and pubic hair. A bit painful and I needed little breaks while removing hair. It’s also very loud and sounds like a power drill. I also don’t like that it is curved because it misses hairs and I have to go over my skin multiple times.

It does not work well on my legs because my hair is too thin there. It just rips the hairs but doesn’t pluck them out from the root. So the hair grows back quickly on my legs and I get ingrown hairs.

I’m going to have to buy Nair ‘Cire Devine’ wax to go over missed areas. This wax works really well but it’s a hassle because the wax drizzles everywhere and I end up getting it on the floor. Definitely need newspaper on the floor when using this wax.

That’s why I prefer an epilator.

Now I won’t lie, epilation at the start hurts but past the initial stage it’s a breeze. I have found this epilator to be brilliant for removing my leg hair but also the attachments it comes with are incredibly useful.

The shaver is great for arm hair and bikini line whilst the bikini trimmer is great for those more precise jobs. The exfoliation head is soft on the skin but is fantastic at reducing those pesky ingrown hairs but most surprising to me has been the pedicure head, it is perfect and my feet are now joining the rest of me as being satin smooth.

Originally brought to be more environmentally conscious due to shaving waste but will not be looking back anymore, I have found my perfect accompaniment to my Lumea.

I never review stuff online, but I came back 2 years after purchase to recommend this product, it’s only fair given how well it’s served me. I bought this 2 years ago in April 2020 as with lockdown we couldn’t get the the barber.

We’d never cut hair before, but this set is easy to use and quickly got the hang of it. 3 people in my family have been using it ever since, every roughly 4-6 weeks, I haven’t been to an actual barber since, even after lockdown finished! I’ve saved hundreds of dollars in haircuts now we can do them at home.

I was surprised given the price how well it’s lasted and how sturdy and quality it feels in the hand, all components still working as well as they did at the start. Highly recommended!.

I feel like I just bought a Barber Shop Station. This is a very heavy duty clipper made just like the old days and built to last and very durable. It has a power adjustment screw and thick steel blades.

They included oil for the blades, 10 different attachment combs for hair Trimming & Shaving, eye brow, & Left & Right behind the ear, plus 2 regular hair combs & scissors for hair cutting. Also comes with a little brush to clean the hair out of the clipper, all in a plastic kit box to store in.

The plug-in clipper is a lot heavier than my little cordless Norelco G370 trimmer, but I don’t have to recharge it. And is sure to last at least 10-15 yrs. The attachment combs are made of a bendable flexible plastic and will outlast my Norelco G370 attachment combs that were made out of a hard see through plastic that ended up snapping the teeth off of after ageing.

The only non-perfect thing I can see with the product is 2 of the 10 combs have a curved tooth and got miss-shapened in the storing of the combs, but will still work. The scissors cut for trimming, but are not professional like the clipper is.

This plug-in clipper has 9 watts of power where as my cordless Norelco G370 has 2 watts. I would say this weighs just under a pound where my Norelco Cordless G370 is feather light. Big weight difference.

I would buy this again.

This pet grooming clipper is the best I have ever owned. Light weight easy to hold for long periods of time. I used this on a big dog with a thick matted coat. It was quiet, never pulled the hair. It saved me sooooo much money my grooming her at home.

The cost of 2 grooming paid for the clipper and my dog was more comfortable with me doing the clipping. My friend actually said my job was better than the professional groomers! I read many reviews and had a friend who groomer her own pets pick this for my thick coated dog.

She said you wont beat the quality of Wahl and she was spot on. Care- I kept it oiled as she suggested and kept the cord neatly rolled when not in use. Apparently cord care is important. The 14 foot long cord is useful if you aren’t a professional and groom your dog outdoors with just a leash.

My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.

This review i’m posting is the review I wrote on the 10 piece one. Essentially this is great, but spend the extra $7 for the longer charge time, added attachment and mostly for the replacement blade it comes with.

The shaver itself deserves five stars, but I’m taking one off for “value”, and I think the 10 piece is a better bang for your buck. My experience with both shavers is as followed (copy and pasted from the one that’s $7 more dollars): Awesome! Great for females too, I get such a close shave on my sensitive area.

My spouse uses the same kind for his face & body and loves it. We have this one, which comes with an extra blade replacement and more attachments, which is the one he has because I don’t need the attachments I use it with zero attachment on it.

The only difference in the actual product is the added attachments and it’s runs for 60 minutes as opposed to the other one which run time is 45 minutes. They work the same. I personally would spend the extra $7 to get the extra blade.

Have tired a ton of these types of things, and nothing compares. The ones that run on batteries are trash. Get this, men and women. You won’t be disappointed. (I have read some reviews that this didn’t give them a close shave.

I don’t agree with that. I don’t have terribly coarse hair though so that could be the issue. My spouses hair is coarser than mine, but again I wouldn’t consider him to have coarse hair. (So if you do have super coarse hair, I would still give it a try, but keep your receipt and just return within the time frame.

I needed to replace my Norelco QT4070 vacuum trimmer that had died. I loved that trimmer because of the vacuum but also because of the rotary dial to adjust height. I could not find a suitable replacement (tried four different ones including Norelco) in the vacuum style so I end up compromising with this one (no vacuum but easy adjustability).

Overall I’d say it works ok but not great. I do love the ease of the dial; I use three different settings during the trim (face stubble, sideburns, eyebrows) so not having to replace attachments is great.

As far as durability, I had only had it a month when I accidentally scooped it up with my laundry and put it through the washing machine. I was soaked and dead when the laundry was done. However, after letting it dry out for a few days it came back to life.

One thing I don’t like is the lack of warning when the battery is done. My previous one had an indicator and you could hear it start to slow down (at which point you knew not to keep going). This one does have an indicator but it doesn’t seem to warn you in time.

It also didn’t slowly stop. When the battery ran out it just completely went from full power to full stop, pulling the hairs rather than cutting them. The battery has only ran out once so we’ll have to see if this happens each time or not; maybe I just wasn’t paying attention but I don’t think so.

My biggest problem with the unit is that the blade itself is set back a fair distance from the front of the attachment. This means that even when you move up from your lip to directly under your nose the attachment hits your nose way before the blade does.

That leaves the thin strip of hair just below your nose longer than the rest of the moustache area. It takes lots of different angles, shoving the corners up your nostrils, to kind of get it trimmed.

Overall, it is a decent trimmer but I really loved the QT4070 and wish that were still available.

When I first got this beard trimmer it seemed quite light compared to ones I had previous used, so was sceptical of the overall quality, but after using this beard trimmer for a few weeks now, I’m really happy with how it’s been performing.

The battery life is great and I haven’t yet had to recharge and the device and the trimmer is easy to use resulting is nice sharp trim lines. In my opinion the best feature of this beard trimmer is the length selection.

With previous beard trimmers I have used, I have either had to swap heads or manually move the head up and down to change length. Which never seemed to work very well. However the length setting on this beard trimmer is brilliant.

Having the ability to swap between 20 lengths is great. It’s nice and easy to select and all the lengths I’ve used so far cut nicely. Also, when you need to remove the head to trim edge, it is easy to remove and clean.

I would definitely reccommnet this product.

Straight out of the box it requires charging before using. Didn’t take long to get enough charge to get it going though. Operating it was simple and intuitive, click the guard in and scroll the wheel to your desired cut length.

Found it cut through the beard hair easily, without pulling any hairs. Speed and noise level were good. Haven’t ran the battery down yet so can’t comment fully on battery life and charge time. Misses a little brush to help get into the tight areas to brush out any little hairs caught in the trimmer.

Couldn’t find a way to lock the cut length either to ensure you don’t accidentally adjust it during use. But this wouldn’t be easy to do from my experience. Overall, great little beard trimmer that works well and is really simple to use.
