This hair color is wonderful. Results came out a little dark so definitely recommend you go a few shades lighter than you think you need. They do tell you that on the website when you order. My hair felt healthier after I colored it.

Did not run too much during application. Went on easily. Came off skin easily as well. Covered my grays really well, even the stubborn ones. The shampoo and conditioner included in the kit was a generous amount and worked so very well.

I have used many professional hair colors in the past and this one really does stand out with how clear the instructions are, how easy to use it is, and how well it works. I would purchase this going forward I would just choose a little bit lighter shade.

The bottle and applicator was really nice and durable. The gloves was very nice and durable where I could rinse them off and reuse for the shampooing. I like how thick the formula is and it doesn’t run all over the place.

It really doesn’t have a smell, it’s just a little but nothing overpowering. I absolutely love the added bonus of the haircolor remover wipe it works amazingly and very useful. The product made my hair feel like silk and the shampoo and conditioner did too and it smells amazing.

It colored my hair really good just have a little resistant grey it didn’t cover but overall it is a amazing product. I highly recommend to try.

It mixes smoothly. It’s a nice thick cream so it doesn’t drip. I received the medium intense red shade. What I got was nice bright red. Developing time for me was 45 mins as I had a good amount of grey.

It covered them really well. You get a sachet of color lock shampoo and conditioner which is super thick, there’s enough to wash/condition twice. It made my hair feel silky soft, easy to manage, without the heavy feel one would get post-coloring.

Just got this yesterday and here’s the deal yall… it’s basically heavily pigmented powder eyeshadow that you pack on your roots to “disguise them instantly” with a two sided densely packed brush. Ok, so I can see this product working wonders for grey roots on dark and black hair, no doubt that’s why it’s won Allures Best of Beauty several years in a row.

( also a reason I picked it up in the first place, I shoulda researched a little more) But, for us blondeys , try as it might and claim as it does, this product isnt going to cover dark roots up, it’s just not.

It literally can’t. It is common sense really I was just hoping for a magic product or something here and let’s face it, they don’t exist, you have to cancel out the color completely through bleaching then adding tones lowlights whatnot and that is the only way to truly make dark roots blonde.

The Only way. But if you’re wanting grey coverup I see this product working wonders!!.

Such a good product when it comes to being able to camouflage your roots. So many of my clients asked me about root concealer products during covid when I couldn’t color their hair. And I always recommend this wonderful product to them.

It comes like this and I believe it also comes in a spray form, both provide excellent coverage to hold you over between color touch-up services. The light brown goes great with blondes too, because it gives a great dimension and depth to blondes.

This product is beautifully pigmented and a little goes a long way, just add water and blend with the contents of the compact and gently brush it on to cover grey. With the spray make sure your spraying atleast 8” away to avoid too much product.

A little goes a long way. No one likes gray, and who wants to resort to box dye and mess up your color between appointments. This is the way to go! It was a covid necessity, but also works well if you just are between appointments and have a few pesky greys.

I’m going to tell you a little secret! I use this Wow touch up in red for my eyebrows. I have never been able to find a decent color in any pencil, brow dip, or brow powder to match my eyebrows and this Wow product for hair touch up worked for me.

I’ve also used it to touch up my grays in but it doesn’t match my hair color. Great product all and all though. They just need to come with a rocking red to hook me up.

One of the worst color I have used yet. Real runny and thin. Messed my chair up even wearing protection. Did not cover a few stands of hair. Gloves too small for men hands. Left me with an itch.

We needed something to cover up the “quarantine grays”, and this soft sheen was the perfect solution. TI thought it would be a small amount for beards and small hair coverage, but this was a full size for a full head of healthy hair.

We did leave it on for longer than the advertised 5 minutes, just to make sure. We are pleased with this color, moisture and coverage.

Easy to use. Great coverage for grey roots. Using brown for medium blonde hair. Spray over grey roots, let sit for a while, comb trough to blend in. It stays on till you wash your hair again. Tried 2 other name brands but will only continue to use this product.

Gets rid of those stubborn greys! Since I haven’t been able to have my hair professionally touched up, I’ve relied on spray-on temporary color and it really works! It’s getting kind of hard to find them online, since no doubt many thousands of people have the same problem as I did, so when you see one, grab it!.

Great product. ! You can cover your grey before or after styling or both. It is light as a feather and looks natural. No mess and is not sticky or gummy. You won’t notice anything except that your grey is gone! Love it!.

I like this product. So far no adverse reaction to my scalp or skin. However, I wish the box would contain the hair conditioner from the same company. I seem to look for some other conditioner after coloring my hair.

I’ve used several hair coloring products in my life. I haven’t used anything in the past few years. I read the directions twice before beginning and used a timer. Well, my hair broke off where I applied it! I am NOT a happy customer and thought people should be warned.

I also have very think and healthy hair before applying this product.

In the process of trying to lighten my colour treated medium-dark brown hair. The day before dying I used “Malibu C Quick Fix Hair treatment”, a cheap and natural crystal product to remove previously applied dyes.

I then used this Naturigin colour, easy to apply, good instructions, pleasant scent, organic etc. It does tend to dry out my hair, even after using the included conditioning treatment, but the colour is fabulous! (Very close to the examples shown on the box).

I recommend using an intense Argan oil type conditioner the next day, this really helps. just my 2 cents!.

Green white and black box will take your hair out!!!! It colors good but, you will notice your hair breaking off!!! Don’t use it unless you want your hair damaged!!!!

Worked great, not so sticky like regular mascara I tried! Big mess. This you have to just remove a little by brushing off some on tissue then apply. Lasts long. Great product. & seller recommended.

Great application. Blends perfectly without hardening so you can blend in with a brush. Choose a few different colors to blend in so it looks more natural with all strands of your hair. Great product!

I have very fine (but ample) wavy/puffy hair that goes to my mid back. It’s naturally about a dark/medium brown that sun bleaches easily. I used to dye my hair with N4 and vol 20 developer but my hairdresser said my natural colour is so close that it’s not worth the damage I was causing.

Because of how fine and wavy my hair is it just doesn’t react well to any kind of harsh chemicals and quickly becomes dry and brittle. My hairdresser suggested transitioning to a semi and this product is almost perfect! Yes, it doesn’t last as long as permanent but I really like how it allows my natural tones to still show vs the solid single tone you get from permanent.

You don’t get the harsh grow out line and there’s zero long-term damage risks. I have like 5 grey hairs and it doesn’t do a whole lot for them but it does blend them for the first few washes. I’ve removed a star because it bleeds every time you wash your hair and by the time the bleeding stops the colour is gone.

I wanted to love this SO bad. It’s so easy and convenient. I could have touched up my hair anytime and any day of the week with ease. However- This is neither “medium brown” OR ashy. Total BRASS PALE BROWN, if you can call it brown at all.

This product was absolutely awful. I also tried the black. Again. black is NOT black. At best, it came out a brassy medium brown. So so so disappointed.

After years of using curl mousse products, it’s definitely the best one i ever had !!! First, the smell is gorgeous, and i couldn’t stop smelling my hair even one day after using it, that’s how divine it is ! Second, the texture is so smooth !! Really felt amazing compared to the other mousses i tried ! And let’s not forget the result ! Which i am very happy with, did help making my curls look nice and did not make huge and hard bulks of hair or anything as some would have done from what i used to have before.

Definitely recommend, think i’ll stick to this one from now on !! :).

I used the Medium Brown Touch of Gray for years then switched to Control GX for about a year. The GX seemed easier but not great coverage unless I used very frequently and seemed to get blotchy dark areas etc.

My new Barber said stop using it. It doesn’t look good. I went back to Touch of Gray, My Barber said what did you do it looks great? So I use it about every 2 weeks On day of haircut (#6 blade on sides) short on top and then 2 weeks later which takes me to next haircut 2-3 weeks.

I don’t use the Comb I don’t use enclosed oversized plastic gloves (too Messy) I use latex gloves apply it all over and wipe off any that gets on skin with tissue. I leave it on about 7 min I don’t get the advertised Salt and Pepper but more overall coverage that is somewhat translucent and shows some gray depending on light conditions It looks natural I tell some people I color my hair and they said they never would have guessed.

I have used hair coloring products (Original JFM + others) for years and also used Touch of Gray previously. Since I have colored my hair 6-8 times per year for over 10 years, I find it relatively easy to color my hair.

My recent experience was frustrating because it seemed like the coloring out of the tube was a lot thinner and runny. I didn’t care for the comb included. I left the product on my hair for 10 minutes versus the 5 minutes (starts when 100% complete with application) as instructed.

Results were HANDFULS OF GRAY and not touch of gray. The frustration when dealing with a runny product was compounded by the weak gray coverage. Maybe I got a bad batch. This product was not easy to use, did not get rid of desired amount of gray and was messy to apply.

I will switch to the Autostop product because of all the prior success with JFM products.

It’s a lot closer to black than brown, but nothing wrong with that unless you’re expecting brown. It could be that it shows darker on me since my original natural color is black, even though it’s white now.

Main thing is it looks like a natural color. The next shade darker (Black) can look unnatural, with a purple tint. So I recommend Dark Brown over Black even if you’re looking for black.

It’s super easy and convenient to use—except there are no clear directions on how to apply. I bought this to cover my gray edges with minimal to no damage… it colored but it doesn’t last. The bottle says it’s made with advanced technology for grays but it actually is not very gray resistant.

Despite all this I will still purchase because it will maybe at least achieve the resulted i want for 24 hours.

I am actually a cosmetologist and I do hair for a living, so with that being said, I love Clairol hair dye products. Whether it be the dive before care or after care it always works. It tends to last long and it never damages my hair.

In fact it actually hydrates it and makes it look like I have just came from the salon. I would highly recommend this line to anyone who’s looking for an affordable new look without breaking the bank.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! This hair color is wonderful. It has my clients hair looking and feeling so lustrious. The color holds for quite a long time. There is no breakage at all.

I am a a dedicated user of this Godefry tint – I use on my eyebrows that are sparse and light in colour. I’ve tried other eyebrow tints, and none perform like Godefry, and the ease of mixing the quantity I want and need.

The tint comes with capsules of coloured powder, and either a tube or bottle of cream developer, a mixing cup, and an angled brush to apply the tint to brows. Sometimes I only use half of a capsule of powder.

The developer I eyeball to an equal amount of powder, and mix in cup with handle tip of brush. Application is easy to cover all brow hairs. I have a small bald patch on the inside edge of one brow where hair did not grow back after having aggressive chemo , and the tint will dye that skin and stay for a few days to help disguise that area.

I like that the tint will dye some skin , to help fill in, but be aware to apply carefully just where it’s desired, as if using a brow pencil/pomade/powder. Directions are to leave on 3-6 minutes , but I leave on 10 minutes or more for optimal results for ME.

The tint can last up to a month on brows. A package can last me several months or a year + so I find the product not only exceptional in performance but also economically. Note some facial cleansers and treatments may fade colour.

I like the tint as it helps frames my face, and I can use little to none brow products if I feel not going through the trouble.

Too messy to use. Takes way longer than expected. Mixing cup is extremely tiny. Powder spills over when mixing in the activator. Seems watery. Makes a mess of your brow area after coloring as the application brush leaves you with a lot of unwanted color on your skin around your brows.

Having to apply vaseline to prevent this is from happening is another pain-in-the-neck step one would have to take in order to avoid this from happening. The product itself does not adhere easily to the brow hairs that you wish to tint.

One must glob on the product continuously. Not happy with this product.

This tint kit is everything! I used to get my eyebrows tinted every time I would get them threaded and it would come out being extremely costly. Now that I have found this tint kit, I tint them at home and then go and get them threaded after.

 The tint looks just as good as when it’s done professionally, and it is super cost-effective. Each box comes with 20 “pills” of color that you’ll see in the photo, along with a mixing pot, brush, and developer.

It’s super easy to use and you only leave it on for a couple minutes.  You break open the color “pill” into the pot, add some developer, mix (I use the back of the brush), and apply following the natural shape of your brow.

I have thick brows but the color is lighter than my hair, and they’re not super full so you can see some sparse parts. I use the natural black color, and I’ve posted a before and after photo so you can see the change.

You’ll notice that your skin will also tint, but that’ll go away after a few washes. I bought the light brown kit for my mom because her brows have whites in them, and the color is not only beautiful but it covers the whites like a charm.

Originally when I picked the color off the lime crime website it looked more like a tan neutral almost with subtle hints of peach close to nude color, and then when it arrived and the I swatched it – it was so far from what it looked like on the website? Hence why I usually don’t like purchasing make up mostly “lipsticks” online.

However, I was extremely surprised how beautiful it was with little to no make up on and just very light mascara and lashes and how beautiful it went with my pale skin it wasn’t too dark and it wasn’t too late it’s the perfect shade for any occasion.

I wouldn’t say it’s a nude color, I guess it could be placed in the nude category but I’ve found it had more hues of browns grays purples almost like a very dry it out purple with subtle and when I say subtle I mean very subtle hints of pinks and peaches and just all sorts of colors that I can’t quite point my finger on may be a little bit of a gray but mix those all together and you get this beautiful cashmere color that goes on smooth! I love that it’s a liquid lipstick aka VELVETINE matte (so I know it won’t be coming off on my teeth, clothes, drinks or even when I’m eating greasy foods – THIS HAS STAYED PUT!) I’ll even go as far as saying it lasted one very long passionate date night with my husband 🙊🙈😂 (insert blushing emoji here)  This was actually my second time purchasing this shade, and I would definitely purchase it again and again! Limecrime has great sales from time to time so make sure to look out for that! I think they’ve rebranded their website at showing the exact color on different skin tones and even have multiple lips pictured so you have a better idea how it will look, from when it was just the same pair of lips that was always pictured in every shade! I recommend any of limecrime’s liquid velvetines as they are soft on the lips and go on very smoothly.

I first tried mystic on my dark/medium blonde hair, unbleached. It definitely came out like a teal, which I would normally be fine with, but it was a very green leaning teal. Most, if not all, blondes do not want green hair.

I hated it, but I somewhat expected it since blue+yellow=green. The next day I got blue smoke and put it over the weird teal-ish mystic and it was amazing. It ended up being a gorgeous royal smoky blue, exactly what I wanted.

It started fading, as expected, and I wanted just a really quick refresh so I used the mystic again for maybe 20 minutes, figuring there was no way it would turn green again since I was putting blue on top of blue.

It turned green again. Somehow, even more green than before. I have a lot of art experience and for the life of me, I can’t figure out how blue+blue=green. I genuinely thought the green tones wouldn’t show up on top of such a deep blue.

Now I’m mixing pony with blue smoke because I’m so scared of any sort of green tones showing up in my hair. It honestly has caused me so much anxiety and stress, which I have enough of without having green hair.

All of that being said, this formula is phenomenal. It smells good and is so creamy and easy to use. I used to have issues with my most bottom layer against my neck getting so knotted and I had to brush my hair multiple times a day to keep it from matting.

After using this, I haven’t had to brush it more than once in the morning and once before sleeping. My hair came out so shiny and healthy. I’ll definitely be stick with this brand, even if only a few of the colors.

Oh my god, I love this stuff so much. I used the jello color for the first time a few months ago. Bleached the ends of my hair til they were a brassy dirty blonde color (natural dark dark dark brown hair) and used gradually less bleach as I worked my way, hoping to get like an ombre type thing.

Anyway, I left the jello color in for about an hour and it was so beautiful! bright green at the ends getting gradually darker all the way up my head. It didn’t do much to the parts i got to a medium brown color, but it’s a vegan dye so i kinda expected that.

There were splotches on the tub but I immediately sprayed them with oxiclean and they came right up. It faded gradually to a pretty light green. Didn’t turn blue like a bunch of other green dyes. After a few months of the light green I switched things up getting the meadow color and I am in love!!! Left it in for 2 hours this time.

really rich beautiful almost emerald green on the bleached parts and it even tinted the unbleached roots of my hair. It has a slight blue ish shine to it but not too much. I am so happy with how it turned out.

If this has the same staying power as the jello color, I won’t have to redo it for over a month (2-3 showers per week). It doesn’t bleed onto furniture or sheets as far as i’ve noticed. Water doesn’t run clean in the shower for a really long time, but I don’t know of an “unnatural” hair color dye where the water DOES run clear for quite awhile.

I have never been so impressed with a dark hair dye in my life. I bought the juniper green and used it to dye a chunk of my hair. The texture of the dye itself is very thick, and therefore less likely to drip and splatter.

It smells fantastic, almost like something you would find in an apothecary. I had previously made the mistake of using splat and completely ruining the bathtub, but this dye took maybe a minute before the water ran clear, and what few stains were left behind came out effortlessly with a magic eraser.

Despite the lack of sticking or transferring of dye to skin, this looks FANTASTIC. The color is vibrant and absolutely gorgeous (photos of the dye itself on the website are very accurate), and while I’ve only just done it I’m eager to see how long this lasts.

Not only that, but I used this on freshly-bleached hair and the dye itself made it feel softer and look less damaged. Stunning, impressive, I can’t even begin to dream of going back. Absolutely stellar product.

This is probably one of the worst hair dyes I’ve ever used. I mixed it with the Blue Velvet because I wanted a slightly more blue shade. It came out a little dark and more purple, but that would have been fine if it didn’t get absolutely everywhere.

I dyed my hair back in August and the dye still stains everything. If anything touches my hair, it will stain. And whenever I wash my hair, which is only every couple of weeks because I have naturally coily and damaged hair, more dye comes out.

I rinse until the water becomes clear and it will still stain something later. Up until like a week ago, my fingers still turned blue when I scratched my head. And the worst part is that when I straighted the front of my hair, some of the dye must have come off because some strands turned blonde again.

I still have a full container left because I did a 1:1 ratio with the blue velvet, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with it. The only reason I gave two stars was because the color was pretty.

Dude this is the best and most coverage hair dye I’ve ever used! Even for its size, when I had shoulder length hair hardly even used a full container, now I use 1/3 for my short hair. I tried Arctic Fox before I learned about this and the color would wash out first wash! I have used Lunar Tides over a year now and I’m AMAZED at how long the color holds.

I have naturally thick dark brown hair so to use a product I can put right over without bleaching first is a key thing. Plus it softens my hair and smells good. I’ve used black, blue, green, pink, orange from them so far and I love the way my hair looks and feels and the fading of colors doesn’t look ew either.

I’ve used the fun colors, just bc I like to have fun w/ my 14 year old daughter (I am 56). I saw this Burgandy (mascara look alike tube) on line and thought I’ll try it. I love it! You do brush it on like mascara.

Super easy to use. I use on it to cover up grey. It stays all day. Washes off super easy. It’s a natural color. There are other colors too. I tried a brown and it looked great; my favorite is this color though.

A cheap and valid alternative to the expensive cover roots powders with a longer stay.

I had high hopes for this product. But I do not like it. It’s smears so easily. It’s hard to get onto your hair without the bristles getting stuck. I tried putting it on with my hair wet I try putting on my hair dry and it just doesn’t doesn’t work.

I’m in LOVE with this stuff. not only for my roots, especially in front, but I also use for my brows. it grabs the tiny blonde brow hairs and BAM I have fuller eyebrows. clean around them with a qtip and you’re set for 18 hours.

it doesn’t transfer like other products. I use the spool end more so I run out on that side, but if you want to use the product in the other end just switch the stick around. the brunette color matches great with my level 3 hair color.

this product is hard to find, but when I do, I buy out the store. I can’t live without it!.

IT’S VERY GOOD PRODUCT, BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU TEST THE COLOR WITH YOUR HAIR. FOR EXAMPLE, LIGHT BROW IS MORE YELLOW OR BLOND. MEDIUM BROWN IS CLOSER TO LIGHT BROWN, THAT I NEEDED. I HAD TO REPLACE THE LIGHT BROWN WITH MEDIUM BROWN.

NOW I AM PLEASED WITH IT.

Here are a few things I have learned (during the pandemic) for at home hair color. Also here is what I did when using this root rescue product. First I make sure to apply chapstick or Vaseline to my face to avoid dark staining.

Many complained about the consistency of this product, I added a small amount of deep conditioner (super think kind from tub) to the bottle while adding the color gel. This helped the product not run down my face.

Read the instructions, they say in the first line there is not enough product to cover your entire roots so do the most visible roots. 10 minutes is not enough (my medium brown color was orange)!!! I would recommend 20-25 minutes.

After applying all of the color, put a shower cap or grocery bag on your head. If color is still not developed add low heat low speed hairdryer to outside of plastic head covering. Wash thoroughly and blow dry (with low heat to seal in the color).

The only reason why I subtracted one star is I don’t believe the medium brown color is a true medium brown, it’s light and a little reddish. My previous color is a 5N for reference.

I stopped coloring my hair at home a couple years ago and started getting it done only at the salon. During shutdown last year, I colored and trimmed my hair myself and totally butchered it. I’ve been coloring my hair in some form or another since I was 14.

My hair is currently light brown/dark blonde with light blonde highlights. Well, I was sick and missed my hair appointment and my stylist can’t get me in for weeks. My hair appointment was already running behind and my roots were horrible.

I have a lot of greys now, so being more than six weeks since a color is an issue for me. So I decided to give this a try. I used the brush applicator and it was easy to use. You don’t get a lot of product.

I know this is for root touch up only, but there wasn’t enough to do my whole head at the root. Not even close. And I don’t have a lot of hair. My hair is thinning. I managed to do my crown and temples, where my roots really show and I have the most greys and feathered in the color a bit around the back.

I left it on for 15 minutes and washed it out. The color match is pretty good. It didn’t cover all of my greys at the temples where they are the worst. Not a bad touch up kit, just need more product and better grey coverage.

The gloves that come with this aren’t vinyl or rubber, but they are a large size and a heavier plastic. Kind of like Ziploc bags. So no tearing!.

A few years ago I literally had some problems with hair dyes that I tried to correct. Never had I made so many mistakes. My hair was so porous that any dyes made it more damaged and dark. I had to use semi-permanent hair color for a year.

Once my hair got back in shape I started using the Root Touch-up by Clairol, but switched to L’Oréal. It’s thicker and easier with a nice bottle! I use this to dye my hair all over. It’s so much more gentler on my hair because it’s only 10 minutes that you leave it on.

Of course you have to match your hair color. It’s all I use. If I need to do all my hair, I buy a few boxes.

I received it as a gift, complimentary from Color Wow. It works! Save my life!! I love it so much. It is very good and lasting coverage, it stays on until the next time you wash your hair. It doesn’t stain my pillows but of course stains my fingers if I rub the covered area.

People need to bear in mind this is not a substitute for dying your hair – it’s for roots only, and of course has a matt, powdery finish because it ultimately is a compact powder. Which makes sense as it’s for the roots, try putting on a hair mascara or something similar and the roots will look greasy and sticky! So Color wow root color up is my favorite root color upper when I don’t have time to sit in the salon or do my own color treatment.

And when you are ready to color, your or your stylist can apply color right over this product, unlike the Marker Pen product below. Much quicker and easier to apply than the mascara wand version – and you can do a larger area – and it’s not sticky like the mascara wand version.

I usually use a spray root touch up to cover my grays but sometimes it’s hard to control where it goes so I wanted to try a powder option.

While this is good to have in my stash it doesn’t fill my needs 100%. First off, this would be way too time consuming to use on all my gray roots. This is good if you have a small amount that needs touching up or to do the areas in the front of your face.

Secondly this doesn’t cover very well if used on clean hair. It will definitely make the grays look better but you’ll still see them. I find it works best if I apply something to give my roots texture like a dry shampoo.

When I use this after applying dry shampoo the powder sticks to my hair follicles much better and I get way better coverage. Also you have to pat it into your hair and not brush it on. This is still good to have but I still reach for my spray root cover more often and just use this as needed to touch up.

I would still recommend this for those hard to spray spots or if you only have a few grays.

This review is for the platinum/light blonde shade, gifted by Color Wow. I hope it helps any of you who are curious! Whew, the reviews on this shade were SO confusing. I was initially reading through them before receiving this, and I found myself going “omg is it actually game changing or is it horrible? These reviews are polar opposites!!” SO, now that I’ve received it – here’s the thing.

I can believe this works well for some, and fails for others – based on technique as well as root color itself. Let’s start with technique. This is a powder-based product containing added thickeners/longevity boosters.

The directions say to pat it on (no brushing motions, patting instead) while holding your hair flat. What I would add is: you gotta go heavy with it. Think of it like eyeshadow- when you apply it lightly, you get a sheer look, right? Same thing with this product.

Pile it on!! Next, root color itself. See, while the product says it’s for platinum blonde hair, it doesn’t address what color your roots are. Have you ever bought box bleach? (Or just looked at it for anyone who is horrified by the thought lol).

The packaging on box bleach always shows the different results on various hair colors. And guess what – that happens with this! If you are covering medium blonde roots, this is going to be incredible for you.

If your hair is closer to deep brown? Yeah, it may be more of a struggle! Here’s my bottom line: this is a good quick fix. In all my years of being a bleached blonde, I’ve never found a good longer term fix (aside from, you know, a hair appointment).

If you need to look a bit more put together for a special day AND your roots aren’t super dark, pile this on. It does stay all day and imo it does “work” with the application method described on the box.

IšverstiShow in original languageI received the sample bottle of the Garnier Express Retouch bottle in the mail yesterday and I tried it right away! This is an amazing product! I end up coloring my hair way to often just to touch up my roots.

I have tried other products that did not work but this product is sooooo easy to use! I will be a faithful customer of the Express Retouch because it works so well and is very easy to use. The sponge top goes exactly where you want to do the touch-up and dries quickly!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI received Garnier Express Retouch in the shade Dark Brown. It shows up more like black on my roots and doesn’t match my natural hair color at all. Thank goodness I sampled it on a section of my roots that weren’t visible unless wearing it up in a ponytail.

The applicator reminds me of a bottle of shoe polish. There is no shine to the product either. Gives a very flat unnatural look to the hair. The only reason I give it 3 stars is that it’s easy to apply and not messy to use.

I like how easy it matched with my hair color and how natural it looked when I applied it. The concealer is light and not heavy at all. It feels just like a light powder and is not sticky. I really do like this.

Ive always used LaRiche ever since I discovered them over 10 years ago so I can wholeheartedly recommend the brand. But each colour has its own pigment problems. Unfortunately yellow dyes dont stick well and Sunflower is no exception.

Luckily I have very short hair so the tub lasts me for months (you dont have to use it all in one go you can save it for up to 3 months after you open it). But I will have to keep topping up the colour every week or so.

But the colour is glorious! And the quality is the usual LaRiche standard so buy with confidence.

I bought the colour Ebony and never has any other hair dye, black or another colour. stainer so much as this did. The floor of my shower is completely blue, and so is my back. So be aware of that. My hair is black, so it did work.

The undertone is not the best and some spots look a bit greenish. I had light pink hair before applying Ebony. However, I have used pinks and oranges from Directions before, and those were good for the price and fade nicely.

But again, there are better options.

I tried a lot of La Riche shades while I was bleaching. They are well pigmented, cheap, have a great selection and would be a good choice if you want more than one colour in your hair. White toner: I didn’t think this really did anything unfortunately and I would have always gone for silver toner Silver toner: was amazinb to lighten to white or beyond to silver etc.

Even though it always looked a bit scary as a bog tub of navy blue. Daffodil: a great bright yellow shade that lasted about 2 weeks before it just looked like brassy blond. This was the colour I always found washed out quickest.

Flamimgo: a lovely pink colour that I usually watered down with conditioner to get a pastel shade which would usually last a month before needing topping up. Carnation pink: this one was a good shade too, though I found it lasted longer than flamingo.

Neon Blue: this was a very dark blue, I didn’t like this as it gave my hair a shiny/cheap wig look unfortunately. It took about 3 months to fade into a nice pastel that i did like- and that was without using any colour protection.

It also wouldn’t fade completely as a semi permanent so I ended up having to grow and cut it out.

Firstly, i was a copper blonde, but decided i wanted to match my regrowth with the rest of my hair, but i always struggle being a natural red-head no colour turns out as expected. So i thought i would try the dark golden blonde because the colour on the box looked nice and looked like it would blend my roots more evenly.

but unfortunately that was not the case i am now back to my natural colour which is a dark rich auburn /copper /ginger which i dont mind because thats how i was born. But i do like to change things up a little, the dye itself was too overpowering, i have used this brand before and dont remember them choking me, i am so disappointed with this brand, im just deciding now if i like the colour or not.

My hair is nice and soft and feels really conditioned and isn’t as coarse or as dry as it was before. I only did the colour sunday so have not done a first wash yet to see how it fades. But all that said this is the first colour i have found that matches my natural colour, as i went through a stage of trying to find it but gave up.

I don’t think i will by this brand again, because it seems like they have changed some ingredients. I think i will start using something else. My hair turned out nothing like the woman on the box, ive yet to find a box dye that does what it says.

Unless i have too much natural pigmentation in my hair, i really do struggle with dyes. I would be extremely cautious if anyone wants to choose this particular colour. (just my opinion).

Excellent product. I used this today on my medium brown (scattering of grey) reddish tone, not mousy hair which had turned orange after I had used a colour remover to take out dark brown hair dye and then as this left my hair copper/purple, orange, I then bleached it to a bright orange, it just wouldn’t live any further without risk of damage.

The hair was very dry, slightly damaged and having tried a few other options (ash blondes/strand tests/never skip the strand tests if you are putting anything on damaged hair!), I used this L’Oreal Paris Excellence 8.

1, medium ash blonde hoping it might tone down the awful bright, orange/red. I used the mix on damp towel dried hair (as the mix is thick and I knew it would be impossible on my very damaged/dried out strands to get courage on it dry).

Bad smell but don’t let that put you off. I then made sure it was all though and it began to darken. Left it on for 20 mins, checking every 5. Result, slightly darker than med blonde but a perfect COOL, NO ORANGE/RED AT ALL (a few missed strands, sort those out next time).

Roots slightly lighter brown no grey NO HOT ROOTS OR ORANGE! Only non-professional ash that I have used that is sufficiently pigmented to achieve a colour-correction result on ruined orange/red hair.

For very bleached orange yellow hair, do a strand test. Wish there was still the 7. 1 dark ash blonde option for darker hair. 10/10. Hope they NEVER discontinue this ‘Ash blonde’. ever! Don’t forget, always ‘strand test’ first.

I used the natural ash blonde 8. 1. I originally had naturally medium brown hair with the ends being lighter from the sun. I didn’t expect my hair to go the colour on the box but just wanted to lighten my hair up a bit.

I put the dye on the ends first as I wanted these to be lighter and after 20 mins moved up to my roots. I ended up with gingery roots and dark ends! This dye actually darkened my hair. How? I only use natural shampoo bars on my hair so maybe this has something to do with it.

I wouldn’t recommend using this unless you already have lightened hair. I also found the smell to be very strong even in a ventilated room.
