20 Best Grease For Wheel Bearings (2023 Updated)

I have used this grease for at least 20 years. I use it instead of the yellow type greases so that if I want to grease a bearing for my Ford vehicles using a tool that fits my grease gun, I have the right grease for the job already loaded.

In all the time I have used it I have never had a failure in the parts being greased. It is a great protective grease.

Had a squeak in my old Ford pickup front end that was virtually rebuilt 4-5 years ago. Was in a bit of a panic, picked up a tube of grease and greezed the only grease fittings that are available on the front end.

that was it. Problem solved. 230000 miles.

I like that it’s red so you can see when you have enough grease in whatever you’re greasing. I use it mostly on lawnmower deck pulley’s & trailer axles

After installing this cartridge into a (new) grease gun. I left it in the garage for 1 week while I was waiting on front end parts. When I went to use the grease gun. The grease had separated and was leaking oil like a sieve out of the bottom of the holding clip for the plunger.

This shouldn’t break down and separate until it hits 400deg per the specs. I had to use it because the clock was ticking Might take the remaining cartridge back Be careful !.

Used to re-grease the bearings, hub, and backing plate for my 1973 Mustang drum brakes. High Temperature grease is always the way to go and Valvoline has a strong reputation for it. Bearings repacked smoothly and everything runs 100% smoother.

One of the more affordable (under $5 for 14 oz tube) heavy-duty multi-purpose lithium greases. Commercial/Industrial quality for high-temp and heavy loads. Exceeds NLGI No. 2 specs. 530 F drop point (Temperature point where it turns into a liquid and runs out of the joint/bearing).

That’s pretty high if you don’t know. No problem with over-heated disk brakes. I use it for everything. Ball joints, U-joints, wheel bearings, and especially the inner axle-stub bearing in my 03 F350 4×4.

Won’t wash out when playing in the mud or water. A big plus!.

It’s blue, it’s grease, I used it to pack the wheel bearings on a 30′ camping trailer. So far it seems to be doing the job.

I thought that would get your attention – and it’s true. I bought it primarily to use with my Meade 10″ Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope to make the focusing movement smoother – which it did. Getting the grease onto the right place is sort of like disassembling a sealed wheel bearing but exponentially more precise during reassembly.

The mirror slides on a large tube inside the outer optical tube and just like degreasing your crank bearings, you decrease this surface and the mirror mount. Applying a smooth layer of grease to this inner surface was slicker than snot on a doorknob plus the high viscosity meant that it was going to stay put where I applied it.

My focuser now moves like power steering vs. manual steering and the backlash is all but eliminated. OK, so much for the scope. What about the bike? Yup, similar results. Yes, you must disassemble and degrease everything in order to get the maximum benefit but whoa.

what a difference. For example, my crank now spins several rotations after releasing it from a spin where it used to rotate maybe twice times before coming to a complete stop. As it is with all quality items, more is not better.

Apply what you need and remove any excess. This includes your telescope! If there is a better grease out there for your bike at an affordable price, I have never used it. Plus, if you want to use it on other atypical applications, ta-DA! I love multitasking and multipurposing things.

This is a fantastic product. All fisherman out there should try this grease in their reels , its the best all rounder I have used in the drag washers , gears and bearings. I am a qualified fitter mechanic and know different types of grease and this is a awesome lube.

Good all around grease, a little thinner than what I normally use but seems to hold up well.

Absolutely amazing bearing grease. My goto for all types of friction joints and bearing grease applications. I even utilize this on my 2 stroke engine on my motorized bicycle.

I’ve used moly Grease for years my father tested it at the PSNS in the 50s , A heavy construction company I worked for at My Saint Hellen cleanup used it in All gear boxes of the Earth moving equipment.

It’s good stuff.

This is a very good wheel bearing grease and at a reasonable price.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have used this on my RV trailer bearing for years. I have never lost a bearing while pulling. It has made two trips from Houston, TX to Fairbanks, AK and back. Plus it had many trips in those states that were several hundred miles each trip.

I do pull the hubs and clean and inspect the bearings at leat once a year or before a long trip after it has sat for an extended time. Covid-19 lock downs.

IšverstiShow in original languageJust like all other lucas oil products red n tacky grease is out standing. It sticks in bearings and won’t just disappear in minutes like others. It’s is easy to pump and has superior protection for ware and crosion.

If your a construction company or a hobbies farmer this grease is for all , resumable price and exlent quality. You can’t go wrong try it against the grease you using now and you will see the difference.

IšverstiShow in original languageI use this grease on everything that I own from semi-truck to yard equipment. It does very well in all weather conditions and sticks well. I’ve ran it in snow to 115 degrees and never seen it degrade.

It’s good on bearings, frames, fifth wheels, you name it. It’s well worth the investment to me.

I greased my 2007 Chevy WT 2500 pick up with Mobil ! every 2000 miles and I still have the original front end parts that came with the truck. That includes 14 years of snow plowing in north east Pa.

I have been using Royal Purple oil and grease for at least the last 20 years. It is all use. And as far as grease goes, this is it. I am a farmer as well as a homeowner and I use this grease exclusively for everything.

Anything that has a grease fitting gets this grease. And it if does not, it may still get this grease using a needle.

Just a synthetic grease not sure what noticable difference there is supposed to be but it functions as grease should

I knew already 40 years ago – I am a lubrication engineer (Tribologist) Use this in any bearing – and forget it! You cannot destroy with heat, speed or water

I have used several brands , different grades and types, tried the cheapest up to the more high priced ones , this is what I’m sticking with until somebody else comes up with something better , I use it on a peterbilt dump truck and bobcats/attachments,considering the abuse between lubrication , I can see what the old grease looks like and how much new grease it takes , I have compared the wear down on parts that need to be greased up , it simply does a very good job.

if only it were a few bucks cheaper.

When it comes to your bearings you should be choosing high-viscosity grease in most cases. Waterproof and sticky. I use this for pivot bearings and headset bearings. Probably not for ceramic bearings but definitely nice to coat high quality bearing casing and seals with it.

I use this on all my bearings and it was really really well. Very long lasting and keeps that evil water out. It is a very bright clean white, for some reason I like that. Rocknroll makes my favorite greases.

They make three types, unfortunately Jenson only carries the Super Web which is their thickest stickiest grease intended for bearings. They also make a red grease which is their all purpose/assembly grease, and they make a black grease which is very light and great for shocks.

It smells and feels exactly like slick honey, except its black and way cheaper. PROS: Easy to Use, Versatile, Durable BEST USES: Commuting, Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, Long Rides.

Great but just buy park tools grease. Park tools is industry stardard. I used it after taking apart my bike for deep cleaning and maintenance.

Workshop size tube of grease primarily for my winter/commuting bike which is ridden most days, along rural roads, most often full of mud, debris and puddles. It is quite a thick sticky grease that stays where it is put so pedal threads, hollow tech axles and headsets etc are lubricated and waterproofed with confidence.

I would recommend this grease.

Nothing exciting about this grease. There are no great songs or even actors to remember. It is not the beautiful place to visit that some might think. It just boils down to good ole grease. A very well made grease to be sure.

When its to do bringing a classic car back to its former glory, its the smallest of details that matter the most. I changed the grease that I was using to this Lucas H,D. This has to be the best grease I have used and the way the company care for your product, when it arrived, it was well packed and protected.

I knew strait away that this was the right stuff for me. there’s lots of different grease to choose from out there, but this one has to be the top of the bunch for me. The color, texture and durability, gives me the reassurance that am using one of the best.

I recently dismantled my table saw, It wasn’t cutting straight. It’s a Hercules saw from HF, I used Super Lube grease on the trunion. That is where my problem was. Whenever I tried to tilt the blade, it would stick and eventually go out of alignment.

The trunion is cradled to the underside of the table with plastic fittings. They dried up and began to stick. I used Super lube on those plastic fittings and I was able to adjust the blade. It cuts super straight and when I need to tilt the blade, it is smooth as silk.

My snow blower developed a problem with shifting the speed and reverse handle. I’ve had this blower for several years now and its been maintenance free for the most part. This past winter it was difficult to shift the speed handle to lower gears and reverse.

I knew what the problem was but didn’t want to deal with it when it was cold outside. I needed a grease that would still be soft and lubricate when it was cold outside. This synthetic grease’s spec was just what was needed.

I opened the blower and used it on the shaft that the rubber drive wheel slides back and forth on. Once applied on the shaft it allowed free movement of the drive wheel thus allowing the shift handle easy movement.

Ever have a Kitchenaid Mixer drip oil. Simple fix. Take it apart, clean out old grease and use one tube of this product. The issue was lack of use. After repacking the mixer, I will turn it on for about 60 seconds once every month and that way the grease will be mixed and no seperation of the light oil will occur.

Solving the initial isssue. H1 food grade grease will not harm food.

Needed bearing grease for shaft for front wheel on 150cc scooter shipped from China. 600 miles so far no squeaks.

After seeing some wear comparisons on YouTube, I am convinced that Amsoil products are superior to competing products. As a result, every time I have a need for some kind of automotive lubricant, I check first to see if Amsoil has a suitable product.

In this case, I was looking for an all purpose grease that I could use, especially to pack wheel bearings on my travel trailer. It exceeds the manufacturers minimum specs required, and I feel confident it will provide the desired results.

It shipped fast, and is easy to use.

I purchased Amsoil synthetic multipurpose grease and put it to the test immediately. I used it in my skidsteers and backhoe. After 6 hours of run time my pins and bushings were like metal on metal. I gave the product 3 stars because if used in light duty applications it may perform better.

It is not suited for severe duty applications commonly found in the agricultural and construction area.

I started using Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease in the 1980’s while servicing a fleet of 15 church buses. It worked especially well for wheel bearings. Since then I use it in my personal vehicles and am convinced it the best grease on the market.

This lubricates very well. I was using a non-synthetic called astroglide but was having problems with it staying on the shaft at high speeds. This product clings very well and doesn’t fly off at high speeds at all.

If you enjoy making lots of crystals using the hardened shaft method like I do, I highly recommend using this super white grease. Very Satisfied!!!!.

I gave it 3 stars because although it is your standard white lithium grease, the tube cracked at the top and now I have to store it upright and when I use it, it comes out from the crack.

Litium grease has a lot of uses in the shop/home and being in a tube can be better than a spray can.
