20 Best Grease For Hair Growth (2023 Updated)

Well…. I have had the Curlmix watermelon kit for a few months, but have only used three times because I am still learning the process. Coach Jai has been the most helpful because I have low porosity hair and she explained a clearer process.

Third time was ALMOST the charm …. Getting better. Will try WNG twice a week to get hair used to saturation. Still getting some crunch after drying under hooded dryer. Still trying to figure out refresh.

Overall, I’m satisfied with the product … Just need to stick with the process.

Was in the market for a silicone free serum and boy are these hard to find! I use this for separating and breaking the hard cast after the gel dries and loved it! Before I had been using olive or cocunut oil but this is so much better.

Plus with the added benefits of helping with hair growth! Only note I would give is maybe make one that doesn’t have any scent? Or milder one because even though I like the watermelon scent it can be a little strong sometimes, and before I got used to it it kind of gave me a headache.

But that’s just me. After I got used to the smell it didn’t happen again but it can definitely be a little overwhelming.

I’ve been doing wash n go for years. Didn’t know that was what it was called. I love the way it makes my hair feel during the wash all the way thru the gel. I had not used gel for years. I did use the blow dryer but even when my hair is air dried which I have always done it looks beautiful 🙂 I used the lavender because my hair has always had a dryness and I used the berry-vanilla because my hair is on the finer side and I wanted to build up more strength.

This Elixir has been a game changer for me. As skeptical as I was I’m so glad I gave it a chance. About two years ago my hair completely stopped growing and it was always dry and unmanageable. My curls were lifeless and my hair was simply falling apart.

I decided to get a half weave sewned into my hair so that I can have some length and add a little life to my dull awful curls. Worst mistake of my life! Once the pandemic hit I had the weave removed and I cried for days because not only did I have less hair than before, I also had a few bald spots.

The best advice I give to my family and friends when they ask about these products is to be CONSISTENT especially with massaging your scalp EVERY DAY for a few minutes with the elixir. Another advice is to stick to the same products because the ingredients in these products are MAGICAL!.

It’s a very thick oil, but I purchased bc it says it will helps hair growth, and add thickness. I tried to put it in small amounts and rub it into the scalp, but it made hair very sticky. Its works better when mixed with An argon, Moroccan, or any other lighter weight oil.

This oil will make your hair feel heavier and “dirty” even if rubbed in well. Unsure if I’d repurchase ,only time will tell if it does help hair growth/thickness. Price per product is decent. Another draw back is the packaging.

It’s a very thick oil, and u have to pour it out since it doesn’t come with a pump. Definitely get messy if your not super careful.

I use castor oil on my hair and body, but, this brand is my go to. I occasionally use it right after a shower to lock in moisture into my skin, but, I can also feel that my skin feels a little firmer.

I also use this on my hair after conditioning or after using leave in conditioner and I have noticed that the effects last for a few days. I really like this brand and I very happy that I was able to find a larger size since most beauty supply places carry the smaller sizes that are ridiculously overpriced.

I was expecting a plastic bottle, but, it still has the same results I have be one accustomed to so, I have no complaints other than that.

I use this product on my eyebrows and eyelashes everynight before bed. The dropper makes it so easy to use. The lavender scent is so amazing and subtle. After a few weeks a noticed a huge improvement of the health and length of my facial hair.

I love this oil so much! I apply it every wash day along with my chebe oil and it really does stimulate growth. After I had Covid last year I experienced a bit of hair loss and once I returned to using doo growth I saw a big difference in comparison to when I used other oils alone like castor oil.

It’s not a thick, heavy oil either but it’s not too runny. The perfect consistency and it smells good!.

Okay so hear me out I like mixing and finding out if products work ! So I mix those three products below in the picture and girl in a matter of 2 weeks my hair of not putting any heat in my hair it just started growing and thickening so much and my hair started to fall out soo much less ! It’s even bring back my old curl pattern that I had before all the dye lol.

I’m not a professional but I just mix all three oils in my hand and mix into my head twice a day sometimes 3 if it’s just a slick bun week helps getting rid of gel too Idk why.

I have a lot of stress (emotional and otherwise) and my hair was thinning, which aggravated my stress. It became a horrific cycle that I thought wouldn’t end. I’ve been using the shampoo daily and the serum at night for about 3 months now.

It does look like my hair line is thicker/fuller. I think it’s actually working despite all the tension in my body – which means this must actually work lol I’m eventually going to do PRP and get one of those laser light therapy caps too boost results.

Always read the return policy before purchasing. This product arrived in a dirty, stomped on box (the pretty interior box holding the product) and the serum has no safety seal whatsoever. The box is also not sealed.

Do you all put this product in your head when there is no product safety seal?! No way for me. Especially since it came in a dirty box. Who knows how adulterated this could be. The return policy says even if dissatisfied as a first time buyer, they will refund LESS the original shipping and you have to ship it back yourself no label provided.

I am not a fan of hair grease , but my hair needed extra TLC. I spritz my hair with water and then used this to seal in the moisture. It made my hair look healthy instantly, my hair was soft , and had a healthy shine to it.

The product is not greasy. I view this as a high quality hair grease because of the ingredients, this product does contain “paraffin” which is petroleum, but it’s a few ingredients down the list. Most hair grease is just petroleum , mineral oil with a few other things.

This grease is soft, easy to apply. It’s contains sulfur but I’m thankful it does not smell like sulfur 8. This product have a light sweet vanilla smell, and when you apply the product you may smell the sulfur aroma but is very faint.

The scent of the vanilla eventually fades away after you apply it. If you want to try a hair grease with higher quality ingredients then this may be for you.

I love using this Gro Grease! I apply it one time to my scalp and I don’t have to reapply for a few days. It keeps my scalp itch free and moisturized. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has itchy scalp, Psoriasis or Eczema.

Be patient – it took weeks of once daily application to see the beginnings regrowth in my thin edges. I apply a little to my palms, rub hands together, then massage it into my scalp. I do this at night because I use other products in the morning.

A wonderful thing. It has 3 strengths – lite, double, and maximum. The light is too lite and dose not work as well as the double. Even though it says double, this is like the “normal” strength. The maximum is too greasy, but I buy it when there is no double strength and to use after I wash and condition my hair because it helps to moisturize my scalp and hair faster.

I am mixed-raced, but I still have to add moisture, especially to my scalp. This smells sooo good. Just like coconuts. It even list it as an ingredient on the front of the jar along with sage and sulfer.

Also important in black hair care products but again this goes back aways. Grandmothers used to use Sulfer 8 if your scalp was itchy to much or some little boys would get ringworm on there scalps and this was the go to product.

Again this was when little boys head were worn completely bald. Climbing in the woods was not dangerous then but rubbing against some trees and other things in the woods was thought to cause it. With a couple applications of Sulfur 8.

It was cleared up completely. Sulfur 8 was strong in smell and had a slight burning sensation on your scalp. My momma (Grandmother) used it on me because I have suboric dermatitis. Now I use T-gel (a tar based shampoo – not the kind of tar they use to pave streets).

Still an awesome product for todays hair care from back in the day.

I like to use on scalp and edges vs on the actual hair. I can’t say it’s really growing my hair because I do use other products but it does something because it’s part of my routine hair care regimen.

Its everlasting scent of coconut is now replaced with the smell of petroleum. The feeling left in my hair like Vaseline. What happened to the traditional one?.

I noticed my hair was shedding so much in the shower & that made me really nervous because who wouldn’t freak out? I was told that shedding after getting covid was a thing. I wanted to take action and really do something to prevent more shedding.

I bought vitamins but wanted to try something more natural so bought this oil instead. I was oiling and scalp brushing my hair with this as well as massaging my fingers through my hair for about 10 min a week before a shower.

My baby hairs above my forhead are growing like crazy. My hair feels thicker and I no longer shed so much. I am so happy with this product I am so amazed it works. I would say give it 4 weeks to see results.

I’ve used my fair share of oil treatments, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this one for anyone with fine hair like mine. I shampooed twice when washing the oil out of my hair but once dried it looked and felt just as oily as it did before shampooing…yuck.

I’m also not a fan of the smell, which is very strong and very much like bug spray even after washing.

I was overjoyed and MORE than IMPRESSED and thankful to have found this product. I have 4C textured natural hair. Right now I wear my hair in locs— the loss have actually given me more length than wearing my hair out ever gave.

My hair is fine and gets dry/breaks easily unless it’s in a protective style. While my hair was loose, I found castor oil to be my STAPLE staple product for sealing in moisture. I’ve also heard wonderful things about aloe, in terms of moisturizing in general.

I’ve also learned that aloe is good for locs as well. Then the Neem and vitamin e oils. i love it. Truly natural with ZERO synthetic additives. My hair really enjoys this oil.

I think this product is intended ofr afro-hair or braids, but Im a blonde and use this. I buy products like this to try all the time because while Im a blonde, my hair can also be thinner and gets brittle, damaged (esp the ends) when I color or heat style it.

so Im always picking up a bottle of moroccan or noni oil, or trying some new great-smelling conditioner. I bought this bottle and didnt use it at first (typical for me, I hav a bunch of products sitting on my bathroom counter) but I tried it the other day and I LOVE IT !! it works FANTASTIC on my hair, especially after I hav blo-dried it.

I put a little dime-sized amount in my hand and work it lightly over my styled, dry hair. if you look at the ingredients, theres henna in this so it makes your hair SHINE !! like anything. I will say some commenters love the smell but Im not that crazy about it.

its kind of like an “olive oil” smell, but I condition my hair with other products (awapuhi, schwartkopff pantene, etc) that make it smell great!) but the smell of this alone is “meh”. however, I really dont care how something smells if it WORKS ! and this really does.

I am surprised at how much I like it. one time I washed my hair an put a larger amount on my wet hair and it dried with a very “oily” look to it. just to see I went around like that for day and washed it again and its fine, but you dont need much to really add shine,plus part of my issue is the “fizzes” of high high humidity because I live in South Florida.

I wonder about the label of “Mega Thick”. I think they were referring to the consistency of the oil (its not really that “thick” to me, though it does giv an “oily” weighted look if you apply too much, like I did hah) but again, it will wash out easiliy, and your hair will love the thirsty drink you gav it for a day (or however long you leave it in.

) I havent noticed my hair any “thicker” per se, just the shine. and health of it in general. but thats the point, isnt it ?. I havent used this as a “hot oil treatment” as some hav suggested, as for me, the “hot oil” treatments havent ever really done much for my hair.

I just apply this as-is, and depending on how much I want to put into it. i. e. a day treatment I will add a little, then when I get home will add a Lot! this way it conditions overnight, and I can wash it out in the morning.

COVID 19 my hair started falling out in clumps 9 months ago i had very long hair almost to my butt and thick hair. I had so much hair fall out that our shower wouldn’t drain. I had to get a professional here to unclog my drain! It was all my hair.

I only lived here a year at the time. I was trying everything i quit putting heat on it using the best professional shampoos leave ins and treatments from salons. Well it got so thin and my ends started getting terrible i lost my length to mid back from butt and my thickness was thin hair.

I was terrified my hair is everything. I bought this and started putting on ends then using as a hot oil treatment and my hair has came along way. Only one week cant wait to see results after a month.

My hair has regrowth and is thicker and getting some length back and its repairing. Covid really messed my hair up badly just in 9 months. I definitely recommend this product.

I’m on my second week of using this oil. It’s best used as a hot oil treatment for the scalp. I apply it to my scalp during the week in between washes, i always heat it up and massage it in. I noticed a change after just 1 week! Nothing crazy significant but enough for me to know that I’m sticking by this oil.

I use it along with wild gro oil. I don’t mix them. I use wild gro 1-2 times weekly and the doo gro on the other days. I will update Likes: SMELL, consistency, ingredients Dislikes: i get intense tingling often confused for itching but it’s the oil working into the scalp and follicles.

I add a few drops of rosemary peppermint oil to help. I wish i knew about this oil years prior I highly recommend it.

OMG! The worst thing I have ever done in my life to my hair. This product is tuck to my hair and I can not get rid of it by washing. I look like I did not wash my hair for a year. After I washed it 10x with things a hair should not be washed with but removes the GREASE.

On top it is based on pertolatum what is actual Vaseline. I have straight hair and wanted to help my ends and scalp stay healthy. Since it is written for all types of hair I did not think of such a pain before using it.

This is really worse and hard to get out of the hair again. What is actually 100% right is the “Maximum Strength” what is written on it. What this means I know now.

I buy this for my daughter who swears by it and wont use any other brand. It must work because her hair always looks great, shiny and healthy. And all at a great price and delivered right to my door.

This stuff is amazing, it is very good if you have curly or wavy hair. I have been using this stuff since I was a teenager and I am now in my 30’s. The one tip I would give people is to only use a little bit.

even if you have a lot of hair this stuff goes a long way and also it’s supposed to be rubbed into the scalp not directly on the hair. When rubbing on the scalp whatever is left of your hands can be used on hair and if you want a little more shine, grab a little bit and use it on damp hair.

Six months ago my hair was a short bob also i was dry and extremely damaged from all the bleaching and dying I was doing to my hair. I started using Softee Herbal Gro twice a week, I put throughout my hair before bedtime and wear it all night and wash it out the next morning.

I first bought this product in the store. I could not believe it actually worked. Most hair treatments promise growth, but this one actually delivers. My hair dresser wss impressed with the amount of hair growth i had, as i was going in more frequently for trims.

The smell is fantastic. It washes out without leaving residue. I love it.

I started this in November/December 2019, because the back of my hair refuses to grow. I am reporting on the results of my first buy as this is now my 2nd order. When I used this I followed the instructions and massaged 5-6 squirts into my thinning spot for 1 minute.

(I actually ended up doing it with my head upside-down for approximately 2-3 minutes. This was on the advice of a hairdresser friend who told me that doing this stimulates blood flow to that area). I also take Vitamin D3, B5 and Cod liver oil supplements. On top of all this I went on a Keto diet to limit my intake of processed carbs combined with an intermittent fast. (For those in the know, my Keto % were 70%/20%/10% as I wanted to include porridge and wild rice).

I also massaged pure coconut oil, (or any moisturising oil), into my hair nightly and wore a silk scarf. Washed it out in the morning, shampooed and conditioned and added the GrowMore. Im liking the results!.

Ive been using for over a year. My hair has always been extremely fine and thin. Ive had a lot of stress the past 41/2 years, my hair was just getting thinner and thinner until I hardly had any. I think the shampoo and conditioner are a pretty good investment, as I’ve only been using for two weeks and I’ve noticed that the amount of hairfall I’m experiencing has lessened significantly. I can actually run my hands through my hair now and see minimal to zero strands of hair in it, which makes me extremely happy.

Previously, it just used to fall like crazy. I’m also seeing less hairfall when I shower. However, the shampoo dries my out a fair bit. So I tend to leave the conditioner in for 15-20 minutes for a deep condition.

But it still feels rather dry despite me doing this. Other than that one small thing, I’m actually happy with the shampoo and conditioner and will continue using it. It’s the only product that has truly addressed my hair fall issues, and I like how my hair looks and feels these days.

I figure I can find a separate hair mask for the dryness if it continues!.

Simply , love it great product and I mean great product. My hair and scalp. My hair thin tho so I put 3 to 4 drops into a 16 oz bottle of spring water after conditioner. Doesn’t way my hair down. And stimulates the scalp just fine.

I do recommend to anyone who has thinning hair. It’s saving mine. I have tried other and made my hair shed even more. Since im using this product no shedding but the normal amount. Love it I will buy it again.

I bought this at Sally over 6 months ago after damaging my hair from bleach it’s actually working! I mean I do have to use a whole new hair routine however adding this to my wet short hair and letting it soak into my scalp while my hair air dries really helps! I have significant root growth.

Safe to use on sensitive scalps as I have psoriasis. I would not use on dry hair it will make your hair look greasy if you have dandruff or buildup it won’t work as good unless you exfoliate the roots prior to using it.

Would recommend to short haired gals.

A month ago, my scalp decided it wanted to turn into a big flakey mess and my hair got brittle, dry and started breaking off in the tub. So, I did a hair mask with this leave in conditioner then used this hair oil on my scalp and actual hair.

I have not used the leave in conditioner spray ever since but I use this hair oil daily and have noticed a big difference in the way my hair looks and feels! It has grown and I am seeing less breakage, it’s shinier, it looks healthier and feels is more manageable.

This oil smells like perfection! It’s lightweight and easy to apply. I really like it and will be going back for more.

This one of my favorite hair grease for the scalp. I’ve been using this since I was a little girl. That let’s you know how awesome this grease is. Best for dry scalp, hair holds shine all day.

I use this product a lot on my hair journey going from permed to foresee it’s very recommended I use this a lot in my childhood home my mom actually put me onto this when I was younger and I still use it now it’s amazing.

I know the description says “oil”, but this is over greasy. I purchased it to use as a hair “moisturizer”. This product left my hair feeling greasy and oily. When I touch my hair, I get oil all over my hands, which means, whatever my hair is touching is getting oily also.

It says it can be used as a body oil also. For that purpose I may use it to put in my bath water. However, I have the feeling it is going to leave my tub greasy so that may just kill it for the whole product.

I cannot say who I would recommend this for or what hair type because I don’t see this being useful for anyones hair type. But, if you feel ok, then go for it. One great thing was that it didn’t cost much.

I purchased this oil by chance one day and have not looked back since then. I use it on my child’s hair as well as my own and we enjoy the results, our hair appears shinier and smells so good. As far as growth factor goes, I cant be too honest if it works on that aspect because we both have pretty decent hair length prior to use and really just needed an oil that will keep our hair moisturized and this oil does it for us.

I mix it with peppermint oil just for a kick of tingly sensation. I can barely find it in the stores whether at Walmart or other stores, I always find one in stock or out of stock so I just ordered it on here.

Shipping came fast I would say I wish Walmart put the oil in its own baggie when shipping because when I opened the box the top was twisted just a little bit (but there is a seal covering the oil so it doesn’t spill but even with that I think another precaution step should be taken because you never know).

I would purchase again without hesitation.

Another staple in my hair care routine is this lovely beauty. This has helped sooo much with my growth. Helps my dry hair, keeps her moisturized and satisfied. Lol. I love the way it soothes my scalp.

And it smellls soooo good. Excellent as an hot oil treatment as well. I use this daily. It’s my go to forever lol You can also use this on your body as well. I highly recommend oil.

(Think Garnier Fruictis, but more natural and delicious smelling) The scent lingers for days, so if you don’t like strong scented products maybe skip it, but I’d definitely risk it because it smells so friggin good.

😂 Anyway, it left my hair soft and moisturized. I can’t say for detangling ability, I have locs so I’m not interested in detangling them. 😅 But the way it made my hair feel “slippery” I imagine it would be great for curlies wanting a nice conditioner with a good amount of slip.

I will definitely purchase this product again. I’m current looking for a larger size at a decent price. Love it! 😃.
