20 Best Granola For Weight Loss (2023 Updated)

I ordered the variety pack of this stuff, so far have tried all three. what a waste of money. there are no blueberries in the package, very little if any fruit in the apple and pineapple packages either.

I don’t understand why everyone thinks this stuff is so great. To me, it tasted like I had a mouth full of cotton so I strained the fines out but still it was not acceptable. I have ordered a number of the products over the years since my bypass in 2008, rny, weighed 300 pounds and went to 135 and have kept it off all this time.

the only product I order is the mac and cheese. Everything else either has no paste or leaves and after taste. The soups do not mix well unless you want to wait and wait for them to dissolve. Basically I have a small bite of a real choc bar to satisfy my craving and have done so for the past 14 years without any problem.

I like this granola much better than a bar. I have only tried the Pineapple Coconut so far, but it is quite tasty. No chalky flavor at all and no aftertaste. My only complaint is that there is a lot of “dust” in the package.

If they would make the bits a little bigger, that might solve this problem. I would very definitely buy the Pineapple Coconut flavor again.

I recently received a sample bag of this granola. MAN O MAN is it delicious!!! Crunchy but not crazy crunchy. Great flavor balance. And it has decent size bits of mango and blueberries mixed in to the granola.

Low in sodium, fat and sugar. Just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Each serving is approximately 1/3 cup which, for me, is quite filling. I’m going to be ordering the variety pack to see which other flavors pique my interest.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cereal! I’m borderline diabetic, and all the extra sugar they put in foods adds up way quicker for me than for someone without this issue. The taste is just perfect for me also.

There is subtle sweetness from the dates and the apples but that’s it. Definitely not that sugary sweet taste that is so unnecessary. I mix it in my Greek yogurt, and I also eat it as a snack when I have sugar cravings.

It really is my perfect granola cereal and I pray they never stop making it!.

If you are looking for a healthier cereal these are a good option. I’m not big on fruit in my cereal but I wanted to try something new. I’m glad I did. These taste great. I can’t eat really sweet things and majority of the cereal these days are packed with sugar.

I enjoy these plain or in milk. Yummy.

Really good granola. Tastes great as a cereal or a yogurt topper. It’s not as sweet tasting as one might expect from granolas but I love that it has no artifical sweetners or sugar.

I normally love this granola however I just experienced a grave disappointment. I received a batch of 6 and in opening one bag I realized right that the granola was super chunky which was different. because their normally.

grainy not chunky or in big chunks. Then in eating a few I was immediately alarmed like yukkky what is this. It had a weird kinda burned taste and the texture was absolutely hard and just bad. I’ve been purchasing this product for a while and never had this experience.

I then checked the experience date and noticed that the date window was to close to present date and I knew that might have been the issue based on previous purchases in which the expiration date window way later than present date.

So buyer beware and do pay attention to the expiration window in purchasing.

I love that this is HIGH in fiber and has 5 different super grains – Oats, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, quinoa. There’s also flax seeds and real pieces of fruit aka blueberries 🫐 inside with a hint of vanilla as well.

This stuff is so SO good that I HAD to put my name on it!! SO YUMMY SO GOOD FOR YOU!! 💕 I’m a vanilla Greek yogurt finatic here lately since noticing it’s been helping me get full and lose weight. I wanted soemthing to “spice” up the vanilla yogurt though and at first wa crumbling up actually honey oat granola bars but that was getting to be a pain and realized UHM HELLO!! They sell bags of granola! Ounce buying a bag eating a bowl of my yogurt with The on top that’s when I had to go back for more.

The grocery store only orders 5 bags each time so I buy up all 5 bags then have to re-up before the store has them in again!.

I LOVE this granola in Dark Chocolate. It’s fairly low in sugar which is a plus. I have to admit I’m a bit of a hoarder. Purchasing this, usually all of them on the shelf, every time i see them. The clusters are good to eat like popcorn.

Although messy when I eat them in bed 😂 The Best part for me is adding the crumbles to my original Cheerios to add a little sweetness. It’s also amazing in yogurt and anything else you can put granola on.

I highly recommend this product.

I tried this because I was given a free product to try. I never expected to love it so much. I tried a handful straight out of the bag thinking I would eat more later for tomorrow’s breakfast. It never made it until then.

I’m embarrassed to admit I devoured the entire bag! It was so delicious! The textures were wonderfully crunchy and soft. The maple was mellow and sweet. The tiny bit of tart from cranberry was just enough.

It had a mellow, nutty flavor. I now have a new favorite. I will definitely be buying this again! [email protected]

I love this brand and all of their products. I was really excited to try out gluten free granola. It was really tasty. You can really taste the fruit in every bite. The granola clusters are nice and crisp and the nut variety is really good too.

I love the almonds personally but it is all good. I would recommend pretty much everything from this brand, it is all great!.

Warning! This bag is 8 servings but you will want them all at once! I love the grain free and clean ingredient list. Love the chocolate and maple syrup really takes this up a level. Shockingly not as high in sugar as I would suspect from the taste.

This is great alone or on top of yogurt for a bit of sweetness and crunch!.

If you aren’t aware, this exact meal is actually in a US Military MRE (Meal Ready-To-Eat). Words can not convey just how much this meal means to me but I’m sure gonna try. Whether I was overseas and deployed, or back home in the field on a training mission we were always eating MRE’s.

Most of the time it was not safe enough to heat them up in the included heating bag due to the steam it gave off (yes steam is visible through a halfway decent set of binoculars up to a mile away) and we were left eating them cold.

There are only two MRE’s that contain civilian food: the granola MRE, and the Tuna MRE (Starkist brand tuna). I would trade two meals for this one. It was worth it to go hungry. On top of tasting amazing and being able to eat it cold, this meal was a source of comfort to me going back to my days working up to becoming an Eagle Scout in the BSA.

I have tried many brands of freeze dried, dehydrated and mre meals and hands down Mountain House are my favorite. I had purchased on of the variety packs a while back and the Granola with Milk and Blueberries were in the box.

I had several people over to try different meals and this one was so good I ordered 6 more pouches. It is both great as a cold cereal during the warmer months and hot cereal on those cold days. As an emergency responder as well as hiker/camper these meals are part of both my camp meal load out and emergency response kit for times we get deployed in the field.

Used the Granola with milk and blueberries to start the day during a weeklong backpack trip in the Mummy Range of Colorado. Jetboil hot water for coffee and granola for nice kick start before heading up the peaks.

People told me the granola is also good cold, but its tough to beat when it’s hot. Quick and tasty energy. Thank You!.

I have eaten all different flavors of these bars. They are ALL delicious in their own ways. My two favorites are still (for years) peanut butter granola bars, and the choc caramel squares. I bought the granola bars here because they became impossible to find in stores.

Having said that, it was because they apparently new and improved them. They are now a little thinner, and other differences. however. they are STILL deliciously peanut buttery, chewy, tho a lil less crunchy w/o as many peanuts on top.

These bars are the best tasting protein bars on the market. Most of the Atkins bars are delicious but these are my favorite. They satisfy my salt and sweet craving and have just the right texture. Chewy but also crunchy.

Texture close to the quaker chewy bars but these are larger. Try them!.

One of the best tasting bars. I’d eat one every day for breakfast. Sams Club used to have a very affordable bulk pack of just these bars. I’d buy them regularly and then out of nowhere they stopped carrying it.

Wish they’d carry them again.

After reading all the 5 star reviews and reading the ingredients. I thought I would try. I love crunchy baked granola and with very little added sugar etc -which said it offered. But upon my family having the first spoon full- one spit it out immediately -said it was like eating oat flakes like the kind you have to cook.

But its sold as cold isn’t it? Then I did noticed it too. We we all disappointed – this what is meant by naturals?? I contacted vitacost. I’m not sure I would recommend it but looks like 10 have.

I think it would be greatly improved with a lot more dried fruit added to it. I suppose I could add more of my own. but if I’m honest – I buy this due to the lack of time & energy to make my own. Lol Anyhow, this stuff is truly awesome, and literally the ONLY granola that I have found, with absolutely no added sugar.

I usually add some yogurt to it, some random other cereal, etc, or just eat it with some goat milk. Either way, it’s awesome. Try it, and see for yourself. Ya won’t regret it. :).

Great product and it was on sale, so hopefully it will be on sale again in the future, because it’s a good product for someone who doesn’t use sugar products – especially someone who has to be wary of even honey or other sweet additives – I really thought I would have to give up granola all together, esp.

with price points for special diets – but no, thanks for keeping one of the unsweetened on the market with their other types of granola.

So I bought the vanilla flavor first and loved it. Decided to try this pumpkin flavor since I love fall flavors, especially pumpkin. I didn’t find a strong pumpkin flavor in this though. There were many reviews about hard pieces and not being able to chew them.

I didn’t find that to be the case. Sure- there are some pieces that are harder than typical cereal but this is granola people, it’s supposed to be crunchy! : ) I especially enjoy the lower carbohydrate count in this cereal as well.

It makes for a great treat in my homemade trail mix.

I was really disappointed with this “granola. ” I couldn’t taste the cinnamon so I added my own. It had a buttery taste, which made it tolerable. I ate it with almond milk and it just tasted like nuts and seeds in milk.

It was not even close to the texture or taste of real granola. I tried the Paleonola and the texture of it was perfect. I just didn’t like that flavor. But since I love cinnamon, I thought this might have the same great texture but with a better taste.

This is sadly disappointing both in texture and in taste.

Have been looking for grain-free granola forever; it’s easy to make oneself, but it’s so much easier just to buy it from Thrive. Tried one bag, now stocking up for upcoming travels. Since I happen to love vanilla, I find the flavor perfectly well-balanced.

This is the best of the 3 from Thrive, in my opinion; the others are either not as well balanced, or just kind of bland even after you eat half the bag in one sitting (not that I may have done so. ).

Now if only they would make at least one flavor even without natural sugars.

Im unsure of what I think of this product. I usually dislike honey flavored things and as a vegan I don’t eat honey but I was gifted this and don’t want to throw it away. The ingredients list is short Whole grain oats*, cane sugar*, rice*, sunflower oil*, honey*, molasses*, sea salt, natural flavor*, vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) Added to preserve freshness.

and high quality even tho I don’t like the fact is has TWO sweeteners (unnecessary). It’s sweet, crunchy (like baked granola) too sweet for a breakfast but nice as a snack or dessert. It’s ok, not the best or the worst.

I like the texture but not the honey flour or how the milk taste afterwards. If you like honey and granola then you will love this! Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 8/10 Ingredients: 7/10 Price range: $$$/$$$$ (6$ for 453 g = 0,9 $ per serving = pricy compared to generic granola brands).

First, I like like to start my day out with a cup of granola cereal. When I saw that Sam’s had its own private brand, I read the list of ingredients as was very impressed. I usually go a step farther and read the read the FDA’s Nutrition Label but not this time until I got home.

Well, it turns out that a 2/3 cup this granola has 30% of the RDA of sugar which is way more that just about any other presweetened cereal on the market. It’s very disappointing that Sam’s took an otherwise healthy cereal and ruined it overloading it with way so much sugar.

If I could give us a 10 star I would. This is excellent granola. I was very hesitant of getting it. I’m allergic to sunflower seeds and oil I was happy to see it didn’t have it… The almonds are not hard in it which usually lotta granola are… it’s good they plan to eat by itself and I put it in my yogurt.

It’s a good healthy snack. Highly recommend it.

This is a regular buy for us. We admire much of what Jordans do for the farmers but they have come unstuck with Super Nutty Granola. Far too sweet – contains honey AND sugar. By removing the larger clusters of oats when you are serving the sweetness can be reduced and the percentage of nuts in your bowl increased.

Pity. Costs. But at a time when Government obesity focus is on sugar reduction you would think Jordans would do it for you.

It’s just a bit dull. I have mine with Weetabix to give it something extra in the taste department. Perhaps it needs more dried fruit? It really is just a bag of oats.

Jordans have got this right – it’s still tasty and crispy but with much less sugar than the original. Really pleased with this as I am trying to ‘wean’ my kids off the high sugar traditional granolas.

They can tell the difference but at the moment I am mixing this 50/50 with their usual granola and will gradually increase the proportion of the lower sugar version. I’m not so fond of the higher sugar traditional granolas but very much enjoy this version.

The granola is so delicious and easy to grab for morning snack. Keeps me connect until lunch and beyond.

I sprinkle this granola over my yogurt and it tastes so good. It also has a very pleasant texture which it like .

I love adding this to my yogurt for lunch or just having it by itself as a healthy snack in the afternoon.

The strawberry granola was both delicious and convenient for my High Sierras overnighter. I loved that I was able to just add some cold water and voila! delicious brekky. Avoid having to wait for water to boil in the morning with this granola Peak meal! The only downside is the amount of trash but that is expected with any of these dehydrated meals so I still consider it 5 stars.

A good morning breakfast. The only reason it gets four stars is because Peak’s Biscuits and Gravy is my hands down favorite and everything else is just a notch below. The granola has a good crunch and the berries have good flavor.

Bought this for a quarantine/emergency kit. Great flavor, accidentally messed up the water ratio and it still was good. I didn’t find it too sweet, the strawberries did need a little time to sit, but the granola still was crunchy.

Have brought this camping many times, but just a great addition to the home kit.

The Keto Toasted Almond Granola is the best granola that I have purchased! I am not a Keto Diet follower, but tried this granola when I could not purchase what I usually use. This is by far the best granola I have ever had to use with my yogurt for breakfast or a snack.

I appreciate the low sugar & carbs and the higher protein content. As a lover of all nuts, I love the almonds and pumpkin seeds! Yum Yum Yum! ♥️.

Bring it back! I bought a bag of this to use with yogurt and fruit and it was delicious! A nice, satisfying crunch with a ton of protein, but almost no carbs and sugar. I went to get another bag only to find it was no longer there.

I can get it at my local grocer but of course at a higher price.

The reviews shock me because this stuff is awful. There is no taste unless you count the unmistakable chew of cardboard. I couldn’t finish the first serving on my yogurt and I hate to waste yogurt. Going back to Livlo – it’s a tiny bit more expensive but worth it.

For years I’ve been trying to find a granola that had everything I loved in 1 bag, never could. Until now. This PB&J is perfect, it has all the right ingredients. A little sweet with the peanut butter, a little salty with the cashews and a little tart with the berries.

Great as a quick snack for a hiking trip or in milk for breakfast.

I bought this granola to use on my weekly snack. You gotta love PB&J. I put it on a bowl of yogurt and berries and it’s great lots of berries and a great fresh nut taste. If you like PB&J you gotta try this one.

I love everything about this granola. The dried fruits are amazing, a little burst of flavor that melts on your tongue. And it truly does taste like your childhood PB and J !!!!

But maybe I should have ordered another flavor. I love coffee and chocolate -but this granola was a taste I could not get use to. Wasn’t living up to the name Kick Start for me. I wanted to love it – excellent quality, heathy ingredients, bit pricey, (I don’t mind paying for something unique and tasty) I will finish but not order it again.

I opened the tube, popped some into my mouth and. WOW. I ate the whole tube in five minutes. I was astonished by the mixture of unique flavors, texture, crunch and did I say FLAVOR? The balance of tasting sweet but not too sweet is perfection- as if done by a magical wizard-like scientist.

Sure, I’ve always enjoyed granola. Prior to trying this brand, I considered it as a “nice to have” yet relatively boring food item. I could not be more thrilled to be wrong about that. I wish I discovered Banner Roads sooner, now I’m making up for lost time and eating this scrumptious treat on a daily basis.

Brenda here from the Hive team! I debated whether or not to give this 4 or 5 stars. it didn’t really wow me on first taste, but I found myself reaching for it more and more often over time. It’s become a growing addiction.

None of the flavors are overwhelming, the chocolate is the most subtle, but together it’s all very warming and comforting. I like to add it to my morning yogurt with some banana slices.

I wish wish wish that another brand still had their Banana Nut (bread) granola. It was so good. I thought this may taste sort of like it. It doesn’t, but it does taste really good. I didn’t know it had chocolate also, so that was a good surprise.

The nutritional content is lacking in this “granola. ” Usually the fiber content and protein is a bit higher. So, it’s certainly not a health food. Yummy crunchy snack? Yes.
