Best Golf Game For Switch (2025 Updated)

This game is an awesome kids/family game. My son (4) and I are huge real golfers. However, the entire family loves this competitive golf game.

It came to the house safe and looked good when I opened it. The game itself was fun to play.

Great golf sim for the switch. I am huuuge Mario golf fan but the Mario golf for the switch missed the mark for me. I also enjoyed tiger woods games back in the day so I thought I would give this a go while it was on sale.

I am really enjoying it so far and is very similar to the tiger games I remember. Graphics are good for being the mobile version and Iike the swing mechanics. Great character customization. The announcers are actually good and don’t repeat themselves too much, a lot of variety.

Cons: cut scenes can be kind of choppy but going into the setting and switching from 30 to 60hz helps. 2k making you sign in every single time you fire up the game is super annoying. Can’t continue your career without and internet connection is also ridiculous.

Both of these things could be changed in an update but probably won’t.

The concept is great, especially for the vacant sports genre for Switch. The basic premise as a budding PGA pro is initially enjoyable- customize your player, and as the game progresses, clothes, clubs, even sponsors.

The game play is what one would expect from a realistic golf game – until it gets annoying with random highlight cut ins of the other players (even when playing alone). The announcers play calling is also fun at first but after a couple tournaments it’s just tedious and predictable as a song on an endless loop.

The backbreaker here is that the game requires the player to log in every time, not just one and done as is the norm with other Switch games. On sale the game is tolerable for a quick round but in no way is it worth full MSRP.

There are definitely pros & cons about this game. Pros- The game does look good- even on the Switch. It’s not top-notch 4k, but the graphics are pretty good. There are a lot of good courses to choose from.

The career mode is pretty good. It presents a pretty wide variety of tournaments and courses. There are rivalries & sponsor contracts to pursue. There’s also pretty good player customization. You can create just about any type of player & clothing, etc.

You can also create your own courses. This is a bit challenging on the Switch- and I don’t know if it’s better on other machines. Cons- The number 1 con for me is that you have to have an internet connection to play.

I recently tried playing on an airplane and it would not let me play the game. This is very limiting and annoying. The number 2 con is that when you hit it in the fairway rough they only allow you to use a 5 iron in terms of hitting for distance.

This is not realistic at all for PGA players who could easily hit woods from the rough for much greater distances. The 3rd con is that every once in a while it will randomly cause you to shank it short- and often into the water.

I’m hitting exactly like I do all of the time- but it just randomly shanks it on me. Overall though, I like the game and have fun playing it. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than say Mario Golf Super Rush.

This is the first golf game I’ve played in probably 10 years and I would recommend it as long as you are aware of some of the cons- especially having to have an internet connection to play.

This one was for me and my stepdad to play. I had never played it growing up but he was excited to see that DK had it in stock. the pins were too dirty to read at first until i cleaned them with 99% alcohol.

the game works good and is pretty decent for the time of release.

It is the classic game that redefined video games through and through. The problem with this particular listing is that this is a reproduction cartridge and that fact is stated nowhere in the original listing.

Still does the job but look elsewhere for the official cartridge.

This is THE BEST golf game ever made. Bar none. Period. Full stop. okay you get the idea. This is an excellently balanced game. Great courses with different hole placement each time you play. Characters that vary widely in their abilities and the skill it takes to play them.

Simple enough for first timers to pick up immediately, with just enough nuance that the expert or two of the group might need to be handicapped (a feature the game employs). But at the end of the day, this game is just pure fun.

By your self, or with 3 of your friends, its a good time.

This is such a phenomenal game. It’s one of the only games I have ever played that it’s really just impossible to put what this game is into words. But, if I try, I can say that this game is many things.

One, it’s relationships. Romantic relationships are an option with most of the characters in the game, and for any character you don’t get with romantically, meaningful friendships are the thing. Of course, it’s up to you what your relationships look like.

If you want to be enemies with everyone, go for it. If you want to date, marry, divorce the town (people have done it, I’ve seen it and it’s so funny), then live your dreams. But for me, it’s about a cute little love story for my character and all the unique friends she makes along the way.

Two, it’s farming. But so much more than farming. It’s growing crops, yes, but it’s also buying seeds, tending crops, and turning crops into products like juice, honey, and food. The farming in this game is stellar because listen, I am not usually someone who enjoys farming games but in this game I can’t get enough of it.

Three, it’s mystery and exploration. There are seemingly endless quests, mysteries, and areas to be unlocked. I’ve been playing for years and I still have so much more to do. Four, it’s absolutely adorable animals.

You can have a cat or a dog for your household and then beyond that you can buy a horse, get a barn, and barn animals ranging from cows, to sheep, to truffle finding pigs (this is where the money is at fyi), to (spoiler?) little dinosaurs.

Five, it’s holiday/special events. The game has a calendar and for each season there are unique events. Some you might recognize as reflections of our holidays, like “Spirits Eve” or “Egg Festival,” but others are more unique like the “Flower Dance” or “Night Market.

” Every character also has a birthday and so another challenge lies in trying to figure out what to get them each year. Six, battle/fighting. Yeah, you get to collect weapons/armor and fight some difficult bosses while exploring intense caves.

I am almost definitely missing stuff here because like I said earlier, this game is impossible to sum up. It’s just entirely unlike anything else in that it is a combination of almost every game aspect out there.

I really cannot recommend this game enough. It’s one of the best games I have ever played and a game I know I will always return to.

Excellent game, the physical version also includes all dlc that has been released on the switch. Just a great game to sit back and enjoy if you like that old school Harvest Moon (SNES) feel, with minor combat/mining.

It features Online coop and also Local coop, and it does have a splitscreen coop, but i have not tried that specific one. The online coop is where its at, amazing gameplay, get a friend and build a farm together, explore the mines together, and just enjoy.

One really nice thing about the coop is that the host can start game online, and lets say the next day you are in the same place as your buddy, you can host the same save file but in Local coop, so you can play along with a friend while on an airplane without the need for internet, and use the same save file when you are miles away in different states through online connection!.

I have played on pc, PlayStation, and now as a new switch owner since 2017. The switch controls are by far the best, and very similar to PS4. Stardew Valley is my home away from home. For at least half the price of regular games, you get your own little world of farming, mining, crafting, fishing, decorating, dialogue, events, and endless cut scenes.

Complete creative freedom, adorable story lines, challenging but not impossible goals and quests, and years worth of entertainment. As a new player it will be a little rough in the beginning, and I highly recommend watching a handful of YouTube videos to avoid mistakes that are nearly impossible to fix, as well as join the subreddit r/stardewvalley for questions and tips.

I passionately recommend Stardew Valley to all friends and family members. It is so much more than any review or gameplay will show you. Has a wide range of cross play but because of the dynamic of the game, I suggest playing alone to let it be an oasis of accomplishment.

Some good points and some not so good Accurate putting is almost an impossibility – it’s all or nothing when hitting the ball, leaving shots short or going way past the hole – TW14 doesn’t suffer this problem.

Even turning on the “caddie” to indicate where to aim the ball isn’t really accurate. So many courses are locked and can only be unlocked by winning coins, etc. , My PS isn’t hooked up to the net, so the courses will stay locked.

I like the crowds who cheer and jeer each shot – I don’t like the fact that you can’t play a practice round – a feature which is available on TW14. This means that if two of you are playing – one will have to be a named golfer.

Yes Im aware reviewing Tiger Woods PGA Tour13 (TG13) in march 2013 is like reviewing a galaxy s3 the day before the s4 comes out. But what the heck, this is a great time to buy this game as its still new enough to be current and with the TG14 coming out very soon the price is about as low as its ever going to be.

So im going to write this review in the way ebay suggested it, I hope it to be worth your time to read it though and maybe assist on your purchase in the next 2 minutes. 1:Why i bought it. -Nostalgia, one game I loved playing with my friends on my old xbox was TG2003, always had fun slapping that black button as fast as we could to get that extra tonk.

So i wantewd to relive it. Besides ive been playing Battlefeild 3 for the past year and i think its time for a drastic change. 2:What did I like about it? When playing BF3 and my wife calls me or the kids call me out of the gaming room I found it really hard to drop the controller mid round and come running.

With golf its a lot easier. It doesnt care where you are, what your doing. Even during your back swing your free to leave anytime. (mind you i do only play this game on single player, might not be able to do that so easily on multiplayer) 3: What do i dislike about it? Not a lot,, they took out the turbo slapping and replaced it with this pin system witch you can choose at the start of each round.

Pins include like improve lie or improve workability or other rough spots you might put yourself into. Most importantly there’s the boost pin for driving the pall off the tee. And although it works and its ea way of trying to get the gamer to make small micro transactions buying more pins etc it really doesn’t have the full satisfaction of that good honest boosted tonk! 4: Would I buy this prouduct again Theres only one reasson I would buy this game a second time and thats to buy it for a friend who cant afford it.

So we can battle online like we did on TG2003. But as for myself, if i was going to buy another TG PGA game it owuld be in a few years when the PS4 has settled into my gaming room and EA have made use of the console to its fullest like they have with the PS3.

Ok so thats my review, if theres one more thing id like to add. I personally like to listen to full albums while wacking the balls down the fairway. And I think it would of been nice if this game and more games in general would let me choose songs from music unlimited instead of the music in the game.

The old xbox did that really well.

This game is a step down from Tiger Woods ’12 in my opinion. They have added some cool new swing mechanics that make the gameplay a small amount better but that’s about it. The presentation is terrible, there is never any atmosphere and the commentators hardly speak, when they do speak it is the same regurgitated lines all of the time.

Perhaps the worse part about the game and a disgusting business idea from EA is that you only have access to a limited amount of courses that are on the game. There are about 15 or so course that are available as DLC.

The total cost of all of these courses is more than the game itself. There are other ways to acquire the course through saving up in-game currency but that is a very tedious process. It seems EA have lost faith in the series after Tiger’s previous indiscretions, and that really shows through in the downfall of what was once a great series.

Stick with Tiger Woods ’12. It was a lot more enjoyable than this.

Great game, would prefer more incentive in game to win solo matches with military units.

Expected more from this game, the seasons move to fast, and you run out of food almost all the time. It is good, but repetitive.

Great mash up of Civilization, Age of Empires and The Settlers all on the Switch.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected After saving the world from a terrorist attack the leader of the 3rd Street Saints is elected to become President of the United States. Things go reasonably well until an alien warlord named Zinyak attacks the white house and abducts his entire cabinet.

Now stuck inside a reality bending simulation, the President and the Saints fight to save themselves, Earth, and the entire galaxy if that all sounds crazy to you, trust us: were just getting started.

Saints Row:

I’ve always liked the Saint’s Row series more than Grand Theft Auto because of one thing: Choice. The choice to make my character how I want, to look how I want, sound how I want, even do missions I want (or not!), and this title repeats that trait once again, in a super fashion (tee-hee).

Once again you’re stake in saving Steelport is very important, but it’s even more so this time, after all, you are the president! The game quickly takes a turn for the worst, as you’re cast into a almost Matrix-like world where you are outmanned and outgunned.

At first. Very quickly you are given a king’s bounty of super powers, developed over time, and the game hands over the reigns. Want to blitz through the story with no regard for side-activites? Go for it.

Want to go on a killing spree and wreak havok? Why not? Want to be a loot hound and collect every possible item, do every side mission, help every homie, and get the best ending? Do it! It’s what I did.

The game is not without flaws however, some of the side missions start feeling repetitive FAST, some areas are nearly impossible without upgrades (buy why wouldn’t you upgrade your character?), and some of the enemies are downright bullet sponges, even with upgraded weapons and abilities, so it can feel like a chore fighting them.

Despite the series being known for it’s fair share of bugs, I only encountered a few, one with the game freezing when trying to add music to my custom playlist (called the mix tape in this game), and the others having the menu being unselectable when flipping around the different screens too fast, but this was remedied by reloading a previous save.

This version is fantastic, as it includes the entire game, all of the DLC (Downloadable Content) missions, and it takes it even further. You get EVERY weapon, costume, vehicle, and more, that you would spend a small fortune buying seperately, all for a fantastic price! It’s a steal and you should channel your inner robber and snatch this bundle up, it’s the most comprehensive version you’ll find.

Everything is better with superpowers. At least that’s Volition’s motto when making games. and frankly, it’s precisely what the Saints needed. As a huge fan of Saints Row 2, I was very disappointed when the third installment veered from its witty narrative-oriented roots towards banal juvenile campiness with degraded gameplay and stripped-down content.

And after seeing the initial SR IV trailers, I feared the series had officially become a derivative cheap thrill for obnoxious prepubescent teens without any of the charm that made the earlier titles so appealing.

But after spending a solid 20+ hours with Volition’s latest entry in the Saints universe. I have to say I’ve never been happier to be wrong. Saints Row IV is a blast. While it’s no longer the Guy Ritchie-esque gangster satire like the first two SR titles, it’s become something even greater, something even more complete and engrossing.

Saints Row IV has finally found its voice. It seems that Deep Silver’s acquisition of Volition was the best thing that happened to the developer. In a recent interview, Volition criticized THQ’s approach to porn star exploitation in past entries, as it was never something the developer intended to emphasize so heavily.

Maybe that’s why the predecessor was such an awkward mess filled with embarrassing sexual innuendos. and maybe that’s why the latest offering is just so much better. Better humor, better performances, better action, better world design, better mission structure, everything is better.

From the explosive intro to the first set of powers, SR IV makes a striking first impression. But unlike its predecessor, SR IV gets better with every mission. The Saints have come a long way since their street-thug days in Stilwater.

You are now the president of the United States faced with an urgent political crisis. reclaiming your country and the rest of the world from alien invaders. After being kidnapped by the alien leader Zinyak, you’re transported to a virtual version of Steelport where you’re granted superpowers to fight against the Zin Empire.

and this is where fun begins. Unlike the crude gags in Saints Row The Third, SR IV delivers sharply written dialogue and hilarious performances. The humor still carries the same absurd Saints-Vibe, but it’s cleverer with countless nods to beloved video game classics of the past.

The Saints Row franchise has suffered an interminable identity crisis over the years, but the new comic book flavored direction has proven to be a crucial ingredient to Saints’ newly renowned level of quality.

Take a big chunk of Prototype, add a little bit of Infamous, a few pieces of GTA, a massive squirt of naughty. and you have a deliciously chaotic cocktail of awesome. The game revolves around recruiting kidnapped Saints members who’ve been stuck in bizarre simulated worlds.

and going up against Zinyak. The simple premise is suitable as the gameplay takes center stage. All previous fundamental gameplay elements still remain, but the introduction of superpowers lifts the series to new heights.

Much like the upgradable abilities in past entries, collecting digital clusters around the city enhances your superpowers turning you into a total badass. Just collecting the shards alone is a blast as it constantly gives you something to do no matter where you are on the map.

The superpowers range from super speed, super jump, and glide abilities to freezing, fire, and telekinesis. Even though you become absurdly powerful b.

So I’d give NBA2K22 a 4. 5/5 out of 10. MyTeam is pretty much the same from previous years. You can grind it out but the rewards are minuscule and not worth it at the end of the day. You really are forced to pay for VC (Virtual Currency) in order to build a team and add players you want via Pack openings.

However then there is an additional currency (as with previous iterations) called myTeam currency that is exclusively used for myTeam and is the only way you can acquire new players/coaches/jerseys, etc from the auction house.

Match making is broken since your team could be rated a 80 (best player is say an 85, worst is a 75), but a team youre going against that is rated the same has 2 players on it that could be rated a 95 or higher.

in other words unless you’re a YouTuber, you’re going to lose. ————————————————————————————————————————————-(put this in to break up the writing).

MyCareer is gone in a new direction, the base story mode is gone and allows you to choose your path. Certain elements are a great addition (being a more corporate or free-spirit personality), also giving players far more badge points and the ability to get badge points depending on what university you attend is great.

But the downside is that the City is massive! and its become more of a RPG game than a sports game (but may be a good thing? for the MyCareer mode). I’ve found though drawing fouls is next to impossible which is a shame (for instance my draw foul in MyCareer is the same as KD, yet I’m averaging less than a 1/3 of his FT attempts) even with attacking the basket.

Oh and as with MyTeam you’re forced to spend VC to make your player playable otherwise you’ll be grinding forever ————————————————————————————————————————————- The WNBA mode feels like a cruddy add on that takes away 2K’s ability to further the other modes.

Either make a separate game where you can focus on developing the mode further and give it the time it needs or dont include it at all. ————————————————————————————————————————————-MyGM, have yet to touch but based off the above I have a distinct feeling its likely the same as previous games.

and it is better then the last three dumpster fires they’ve released. but with that said it’s not hard to improve from rock bottom. Overall, you spend +$90 on a game, and then likely another +$50 to $100 on VC to make the various modes playable and enjoyable.

Play every year and this is one of the best years as of late with one big HOWEVER. Graphics look amazing, gameplay is fluid, the defense is way better if not a bit overkill and thats the big HOWEVER as well as the shooting.

They once again made the shooting way to difficult. And not difficult as in im just bad but difficult as in even superstar players if even slightly contested will shoot 27% from the field. They pushed defense to the point that if you dont have a open shot theirs a 70% chnace your missing the shot.

Yes it makes you work which i like but its way overpowered and makes the game to frustrating to play long sessions with. But the game looks and moves so well as well as the commentary and new pa announcers for every arena make it to good to not play lol.

Its that good. The movement feels good the planting of the feet works finally. The blocking is good finally. They hopefully next year finally get the shooting where its competive but not way to hard and not way to easy.

Find a good balance like in 2k16. I like a challnege but this is ridiclous but i still hsve to recommend it at least if you can snag it on sale. Also ive learned to play on rookie mode and the game is fun.

Both teams can shoot and feels realistic and not cheese. Its like rookie is thr new pro level which i nornally play on every year and pro feels like all star. I dont like it when games just make things overpowered when you up the diffuclty and just make your percentage tank to make the game more hard instead of actually make it challenging.

Anybody can just make a game overpowered from you to up the difficulty instead of balance it more by having teams run better screens or plays or d up better ect. Dont just cheese your shooting. My team is my team.

Typical pay to win which i wont do and the cards they drop for you suck mostly so use the auction and u can get a decent team im alrdy over my team and i dont play online and dont even mess with my player anymore as its so cheesy most every year and a insane grind that i dont bother i play my gm mode 95% of the time.

The game won’t even play. My kids got several cartridge games and a new Nintendo switch for Christmas. We are new to the switch but selected cartridge games rather than digital downloads so we did not need to worry about storage space on the switch.

All of the other games worked easily when you put them in but this one. Immediately upon putting it in, a pop up says a required update needs downloaded. But as you try to do that I get an error message there isn’t enough space to do the download it needs 40 GB.

Come to find out, my switch doesn’t even have that much room at 32 GB. After fighting with it for hours trying to find some work arounds and some really disappointed kids I will be taking it back. It’s ridiculous to have a cartridge game you can’t possibly play unless you go buy a microSD card.

I thought I avoided this problem by going with cartridges. Luckily the other games worked fine.

Kirby is back in a brand new Switch adventure after four years. Story A giant vortex appeared in Dream Land and sucked up Kirby and everyone into another world. Kirby then find himself stranded and wanders through a new land full of buildings and new landscapes.

But, Kirby is not the only one who got sucked into the vortex. Kirby found a strange creature named Elefin who tells Kirby that Waddle Dees have been captured by the beasts, Kirby is a up to the task to save the Waddle Dees and explore the new world.

Gameplay The object of the game is to rescue as many Waddle Dees as you can to progress to the next stage. There are 6 worlds and 6 stages with the 6th one being a boss fight. Like many Kirby games, Kirby jumps, floats, and suck up enemies and objects to acquire a copy ability to use against tough enemies along the way, unlike Kirby’s 2D counterparts, Forgotten Lands is now in a 3D perspective which you can fully control Kirby anywhere you want.

While finding Waddle Dees, you will find star coins and objects that require as missions, whether to find 5 tulips, find a secret room or not to get hurt once. Another big feature in Forgotten Lands is Mouthful Mode.

Similar to the copy abilities, Kirby can suck up big objects that gives him new modes such as a car, a lightbulb and so forth which helps Kirby progress through the level. Presentation Waddle Dees are not the only things to find, there are many special items to collect such as star coins, scrolls for a ability to upgrade and missions to complete.

If you manage to rescue a lot of Waddle Dees, The Waddle Dees will build a small village as Kirby’s hub world filled with extra mini games such as fishing, lunch serving, tilting maze and arena. You can also use star coins to purchase health power ups, copy ability power ups and capsule toys.

Find more Waddle Dees, and the village will grow more with new areas to explore. Once you complete a stage in a world, you will find a crakes portal that gives you a challenge on the required ability, complete the training under a certain time limit, and Kirby gets a great Star.

Getting enough of them will allow Kirby to upgrade the copy abilities to be more powerful that will be easier to defeat tough bosses. You also have an option to choose two difficulty modes. Spring Breeze Mode is easy mode if you want play the game for fun.

And Wild Mode is normal/hard mode which give you 10 star coins after completing a stage. Whichever difficulty you play the game on, you will still have the same fun experience. Overall Forgotten Lands is a terrific Kirby game that brings in new ideas for the pink puffball.

Like Super Mario 3D World and other open world style platformers, Kirby and The Forgotten Lands is a brand new experience to the series that can give HAL Laboratory new gameplay ideas for Kirby to do.

Get sucked right in and enjoy the new Forgotten Land! 9 out of 10.

after having a mental breakdown from kirby’s epic yarn being the most “babys first” video game i have ever played (still enjoyed it), i’ve been YEARNING for a game that actually challenges me, where I can actually die and get a game over screen….

This wasn’t a challenge I’d be getting (YET. I’ve only cleared 3 areas so far) but i definitely noticed a spark in difficulty, especially in the optional timed treasure sections where I’ve groaned and yelled at the game a bit more than I’d like to admit.

The cute factor, however, mitigates this. Fed up with trying to clear frenzy mode? Go treat your team to a kirburger with a cutscene where they dig in and promptly go into a food coma. Got beat up at the colosseum after underestimating that final challenger? Go take a biiiiiiig, comfy sleep in your oversized Kirby bed.

Feel bad for hitting one of the waddle dee citizens on accident? give them a little wave, see them wave back, and give them some company by sitting with them. They’re very tiny, nonsensical things, but playing like everyone around me is alive and I’m everyone’s favorite pink puffball makes my heart melt.

That being said, if you don’t have a heart and wanna play a “man’s game” like Elden Ring the REAL way without any summons, this probably isn’t the game for you, but it certainly is the game for me, someone who simply enjoys the atmosphere of every stage and exploring every inch of it before moving on.

I’m a casual, on-again, off-again gamer. I never played a Kirby game before, although grew up on Super Mario (original NES). I’ve played in 3d worlds, especially Zelda Breath of the Wild and Pokemon Legends Arceus.

I debated pre-ordering this, but chose, on a whim, to stop at my local Best Buy to pick this up. I have to admit that I’m happy I did, as I was grinning the entire time I played Kirby and the Forgotten Land (although I’ve only finished the first two levels).

The controls are easy to learn and intuitive. Moving around in the 3d world makes sense. The game guides you as Kirby wraps around (eats?) different characters and things (I really like the soda vending machine!).

I didn’t have any issue with the default camera angles, but you can pan if you need to. Graphically, it looks great, even on a 65″ TV; the scenery isn’t muddled with too much detail. I subscribe to Nintendo Online, so I tried out the original Kirby game after playing Forgotten Land.

I struggled a little with that older title. I found Forgotten Land much more enjoyable. Although I only finished a couple of levels, I look forward to finding time to keep playing this game.

Pros: The games I’ve played so far all have that Nintendo playability. It’s also great that you can play all the old Nintendo console classics. Love the ability to dock or use it as a handheld console.

My daughter loves it and is constantly asking to play. Overall, it feels well built but only time will tell. Cons: It’s a shame it’s only 720p but for most games it’s fine. The controller’s aren’t the easiest to use or get used to.

Additional controllers for games where more than 2 people are playing are an extortionate price. Nearly a 3rd of the price of the entire console. It’s early days yet but I found navigating the user interface a little bit clunky.

That may just be me not quite used to it yet. It’s a very expensive console for what it is but, you can’t really compare it to PlayStation and Xbox as it’s not quite the same type of gaming experience that you’re looking for.

Pros: A very refreshing gaming experience. Very easy to jump in and play. On other consoles you start them up and first have to complete a 100GB+ update, updates on the switch are small so don’t hold you up for long.

The design is very well thought out and the console feels well made in your hands. Particularly how solid the slide on joy cons are which you might expect to be flimsy but they’re a real highlight. The graphics are good enough.

I’ve played Witcher in 4K on Xbox and now I’ve played it on the Switch I can honestly say the experience is no worse for it (at least in hand held mode). Obviously the Witcher is an intense world to render.

Games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokémon Sword/Shield lend themselves well to the Switch because they present beautiful, artful world’s that give a sense of wonder without having to rely on the realism that most other games aim for these days.

Value for money, well, I bought one of these soon after they’d first came out in a bundle deal and felt like it was good value. I sold that console to help furnish a new flat (which I regretted), so when I bought this one I was surprised that the cost is still the same! But, it has held its value because it is good value.

Cons: Slightly annoyed that soon after I bought this they announced the OLED version. This model has improved battery and you can play for a good amount of time in handheld mode (hours). I would just like the charging to be faster.

This console went live at 1:30am on Novemeber 4th. I placed my order right on the Dot. Even thought they charged me, ive read horror stories that that orders yave been getting canceled. So Far Best Buy has never led me down.

It says that order will be ready this Thursday. I am looking forward to own this Switch OLED cause its Design. Is a really good looking Design. I own the Splatoon3 Switch and im looking forward to own this one.

I used to play Switch Lite and the Switch OLED is a Massive Summersault of a Difference. Brighter Colors, Larger Screen and Louder Sound. I wholeheartedly hope i get this one. Oh and Best Buy, For the Sake of us fans, please stop placing the pickup stickers on the Boxes please.

Game says Nintendo Switch. But, cartridge was too small for Grandsons Switch. Could NOT be returned, it was opened. No kidding. Perfectly new game, no use. Grand daughter sold on Ebay. Someone got a perfectly new and expensive game.

Grandson bought Minecraft. Another store verified it was the correct one for his switch. Grandma goofed and the boy suffered.

Words simply can’t describe what a beautiful game this is, developer Moon Studios really poured their heart and soul into both of the Ori games and the end results show. I have the Definitive Edition for both XB1 and Nintendo Switch, which should speak volumes on how good this game and its sequel both are.

Graphically, the game is just stunning, with colors running the gamut of the rainbow and the backgrounds teeming with detail to make the land of Nibel come to life. It’s a literal example of the “Games as Art” trope and that is not a bad thing, it looks like a moving painting and easily rivals the best of what Japanese developer Vanillaware has to offer.

Simply put, this game is one of the best looking games on either Xbox or Nintendo Switch even now. It’s sequel eclipses it that much more. Story wise, without giving away too much spoilers, you play as Ori, a character whose unique appearance belies explanation, but whose story starts off with tragedy.

Ori begins their journey to explore the Nibel where the balance of light and dark has gone awry, and finds out what their destiny is. The story is explained in vignettes scattered throughout the game as you progress further within.

Fun fact: Ori is a name that means “My Light” in Hebrew, fitting since the character you play is literally a being of light. Gameplay wise, it’s a Metroidvania, meaning that you are playing through a large, labyrinthine maze that is all connected to a central hub, fighting creatures using your abilities that you have, and yes, you end up gaining more abilities as the game progresses through fighting enemies to gain what are known as ability points, which is a mechanic used to grant Ori, the game’s titular main character, new abilities that help them progress throughout.

New to the Definitive Edition of this game is two unique areas not available in the original version that explain the backstory of another character whom is important to Ori for obvious reasons. They are entirely optional, but recommended to go through regardless due to this backstory, and also help to make your progress through the game that much easier.

Aurally, the soundtrack always fits the mood, Gareth Coker, the game’s composer, really went all out to capture the atmosphere of each area and make sure that everything just fits. Not one single piece feels out of place, and all of it is just fantastic to listen to.

The Xbox version actually comes with a CD containing the game’s soundtrack, so if you can, pop it into a CD player and give it a listen. You won’t be disappointed. All in all, no matter what platform you get this game and its incredible sequel on, you’re in for a treat all around.

Ori and the Blind Forest is one of those rare gems that is just stunning to look at and an absolute joy to play once you master the mechanics given to you throughout. So I will simply say, get this game.

After hearing everyone praise this game for years I decided to try it. First off, the Switch version runs super smooth which still surprised me despite watching tons of performance breakdowns on YouTube.

Anyways, the gameplay felt fresh and the visuals were gorgeous. The story for me was emotional in parts but in others I didn’t feel much when I was “supposed to”. I didn’t totally love the save feature, part of it being my fault because I would forget to save and then die and have to redo a long section.

By far the most frustrating part of the game for me was the escape sequences. Though the idea of them is cool I felt they were too punishing in the sense, there is no way you could just power through it on your first try.

I couldn’t just use my reflexes to get through it, I had to rely on trial and error. So after the 30th time and several breaks later I’d get through it but instead of feeling relief from the urgency I just felt angry.

The controls were really tight but I felt that because kids nowadays play platformers with the analog stick the dpad got left by the wayside. A lot of the platforming involves this slingshot type of system that when you do it you need to point diagonally to get to higher ground.

Well with the Switch’s dpad a lot of the time pointing at 3oclock either gave the game an input of just UP or Right, so that was frustrating. The soundtrack was phenomenal and was very Disney like. All in all it was a good time but it wasn’t without some headaches.

Ori and the Blind Forest is an amazing game, but you probably already know that. If you’re considering getting this for the plush and don’t already have the game on your Switch, it’s totally worth it.

For starters, the legs of the plush are articulated. It’s a swivel joint at the hips, so you can actually have Ori sit properly. Next, there are magnets in his hands. These will keep his hands together and maybe let him hold something.

Finally, there is a wire in the tail to allow it to be somewhat posable. At $40, again, it’s worth the purchase if you don’t already own the game on the Switch. If you do already have it, the price is a bit steep for the size of the plush.

But, it is a pretty darned good plush. The only detractor was the difficulty I had getting the code to download the game. The box states the code should print on your receipt when you purchase in store.

Mine did not and the store was not able to fix it. I had to call the 1800 number and navigate aggravating voice recognition menus and be transferred to the right person so they could email me the code.

Not a short or fun process. However, that really doesn’t take away from the quality of the product.

Overall Splatoon 3 is a really fun game that many will enjoy but it doesn’t do enough to improve. The game plays exactly the same as the previous game and includes many of the same maps and game modes.

They did however add 2 new weapon types, a new mode called tableturf, made the announcement optional, and 24 hour salmon run. These are some welcome changes but tableturf is a card game that is it’s own thing.

Tableturf is fun to play and I think many will enjoy it but it I can see it being avoided by most players. It plays sort of like tetris and that you are placing blocks except you can place them anywhere on the board.

The objective is to have more of you blocks taking over the “turf” at the end of the match. It’s a fun side distraction, but most will gravitate towards the lobby. The campaign feels like the Octo expansion and is enjoyable but these feel more like little side missions than anything else.

There is no real story here and it serves more as aguide to get you acustomed to how to play Splatoon. It would have been nice if Spaltoon 3 allowed you to change weapons mid map or at least while in the lobby, but oonce you select you loadout, there is no way to change it unless you quit the lobby and re-enter.

Unfortunate that this is still the case. Many can argue that there was no need for this release since everthing it included could have simply been updated as there isn’t enough content here to justify a sequel.

I have to agree with this statement. All in all, this is a very good game and if you enjoyed Splatoon 2 then you’ll enjoy this one as well.

ok so we all know switch games can be pricy and then also be bad but MAN this game is good. to get it out the way, if your having connection errors, thats you internet bro not the game. anyways i have been playing splatoon since it was on the wii u in like 2015 and i have always loved this game.

its so colurfull, chill, exiting it can be anything you want and thats why i love it. so many wepons and customization and you can play with friends and all and the community is so nice and if your good at it there is competitive.

also any age can play this game and still have a great time, a 5 year old can be as exited as a 35 year old playing this game. that means you can play with your kids because its kid friendly. basicly there are 2 sides of this game, story mode and online.

story mode is super fun and exiting and brings singleplayer to another level with fun bosses and levels. on the other hand if you have nintendo switch online the online modes are awsome. first you have turf war, 4v4 3 minutes of chaos where you need to put as much of your teams colour paint everywhere and once 3 minutes is up whoever has the most paint on the map wins.

you can use wepons to rather help the team by spraying paint or splatting the other players. whats awsome about that is it means you can suck at the game and still help your team, skill level dosent matter in turf war.

then there is competitive where there is payload and objectives where you need to rank up by winning games and stuff. you do need to be good and level 10 to enjoy competitive, so probably try that when you know ur ready.

then the other gamemode is salmon run. salmon run is where you and your team need to kill these things and get these balls and put them in your basket. honestly you should search that one up because i dont even know how to explain it but its great fun.

and then there is private matches where you and your friends can mess around. this is also good if you are a popular streamer because then you can fight your viewers. when you play these gamemodes you level up and you can buy cool clothing, wepons and design a locker you have.

you can make your own name and a banner and like a cool tag. for example yours can be: “fresh dude BobPlays192” with like a sunset looking banner, so lots of customization. you can also put a post up, because in the main loby random splatoon playing will be there (different everytime) so if a player walks past you they can see your drawings and stuff (nintendo makes sure to check so that nothing inappropriate shows up.

and yeah thats splatoon 3! great fun would reccomend. if you read this entire review that took me ages then i also reccomend watching trailers about the game and stuff. anyways have a good day and enjoy splatoon 3! :D.

right off the bat i want to make it clear i love this game. i’m a big splatoon fan and i’ve played it a LOT since launch. gameplay across all modes is a step up from splatoon 2, so many quality of life changes, soundtrack is awesome, tons of stuff to collect, and i found the single player campaign to be fun and intriguing.

HOWEVER there are definitely a few turn offs currently. connection errors are quite frequent and make starting a match demand a lot of patience. sometimes you’ll play without issue, but other times you’ll have to try and join a lobby several times before it actually works and you get into a match.

matches mostly run smoothly once you’re in, but every once in a while there will be a random disconnection or some lag. so yeah, until that gets fixed, you’ll need to have some drive to play the game.

also it does feel a little lacking in stages and weapons. there are 12 multiplayer stages, including 4 from splatoon 2. if you’ve played that game, you might get a bit bored of playing those same stages over and over.

there are plenty of weapons, but not a ton of options within each weapon class. but more stages and weapons are coming so it’s not bad for now. there should be large updates every 3 months for 2 years, with each one looking to include 2 maps, a new catalog of goodies to collect, and an unknown number of weapons.

so the game will get much better on every issue i mentioned. i imagine it would take quite some time to get burnt out on the stages/weapons though. and if you don’t play the game a ton then the connection errors might not get on your nerves so fast.

basically, great game with some turn offs that might be a big deal to casual players who aren’t sold on the game by now. if you have splatoon 2 already, maybe consider waiting a few months or more for 3.

i’d hate for anyone to get permanently turned off from the game because some launch issues may sour the experience (which is otherwise fantastic).

If you like Studio Ghibli and extra light puzzle platformers, Hoa may be for you! It’s seriously short – easily sandwiched in between dinner and putting the kids to bed with time enough to do other things.

It’s cute and the character design and backgrounds are reminiscent of Studio Ghibli works. Hoa is a fuzzy feel good game and nothing is too terribly difficult. There’s no death, no bosses and minimal frustrating jumping puzzles.

There are no extra collectibles to find in the game – the butterflies are a necessity. That’s it, there’s really not much more to say.

This game is so beautiful, both visually and aurally. I preordered and got to download the soundtrack – it’s so soothing. The game itself follows a gnome (I think?) who is going around learning about their past and about their role in restoring nature.

Gameplay is really straightforward. There’s one part that was a little annoying where the controls were flipped, but other than that, it’s a nice game. Took me less than half a day to finish.

Seriously AWESOME game (& I’m not a gamer so it says a lot that I really enjoyed this)! Just when you think you’ve got the game down & you’re doing great, the game throws you a curve ball & gets more challenging but it’s beautiful & fun along the way! It’s enjoyable for all ages but does become increasingly difficult as it progresses so may not beatable for all but will still be fun to play! (No violence & does require some brainwork for puzzles & mazes.

If you’re like me, you want something like Wii Sports, but for the Nintendo Switch. This. Ain’t. It. Not even close. By comparison, this is grotesquely disappointing. Nintendo Switch Sports has just been announced.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this pretender to the throne.

It’s an okay game. It’s one of those shovelware type titles where you don’t get it if you actually have expectations for the game. The sporting events in the game are all kind of clunky, and doesn’t really give a great experience for any of them.

While not terrible or anything, just nothing special.

Really fun games for kids and adults alike! I love that Sports Party provides choices for game level options from easy to hard. This option allows everyone to play and enjoy themselves with vibrant games and competitions in Tennis, Golf, Skateboard, Basketball, Jet Skiing or my favorite Frisbee.

I have had this game in my eye for quite sometime and finally saw it sold at the right price. As a result, I decided to buy it. I had looked at the reviews from other sources, all of which was a mixed bag of both and bad.

This game is pretty true to the reviews, and for the price I paid isn’t too much of a loss on my end. The problems that keep it from being a real good game are strictly due to how the game plays and the frequency of wins or losses while playing it.

The largest gripe I have with the game is that the amount of times the wheel lands on “Bankrupt” during gaming sessions. This happens far too frequently and quite unfair especially while playing alone with the automated opponents.

Also, it seems that the AI players seem to have a “home team advantage” during games but when it comes to guessing letters for puzzles play dumb and guess completely off the wall letters which are not part of the solution.

Jeopardy is okay at best and looks rushed and doesn’t feel like the game show at all. It isn’t a complete deal breaker, but it does look like they really didn’t care about the layout and design.

If you are buying this to play wheel of fortune, go for it. The wheel of fortune portion of the game is great. It works just like the TV show, so you spin the wheel and guess letters and compete against other players (computer or online).

In my opinion, the computer players are a little too intelligent, but it could just be that I’m not good at playing the game. The Jeopardy portion of this game is GARBAGE unless you like super easy mode where you’re given multiple choice (3 answers).

There is NO OPTION to type in your own answers. I bought this with the expectation that it would be an upgraded version of the wii game with updated, modern questions. Absolutely not. Alex Trebek is not in it.

I am extremely disappointed in this game.

This game is full of glitches. I can’t believe this made it past quality control at Ubisoft, because this is completely unacceptable for a $40 game. Music and sounds are missing, the rules of the game don’t function correctly—it’s a total mess.

Here’s a list of all of the issues: Missing sounds: Bankrupt whistle when you land on Bankrupt 1/2 Car Horn when you land on 1/2 Car Tag Solved puzzle music cue The iconic “ding” when letters light up blue on the puzzle board The speed-up music during round 4 The bell sound that should be heard when the final spin graphic is being displayed Bugs: The game breaks randomly and the million dollar wedge, prize wedges, 1/2 car tags, and gift tags just stop coming off the wheel after a round or 2–including during the final spin where ALL extras on the wheel should be removed The wild card and gift tags will re-generate on the wheel not just visually; they can be claimed again and again.

This is NOT how the game is played–once these are off the wheel, they are off for the entire rest of that game, with the exception of the 1/2 car tags which should replenish. Update 1. 0. 1 that was released, BROKE the flippers.

Depending on where the wheel lands, the flipper will register the adjacent wedge, that WAS NOT LANDED ON. The background lights that flash when you solve a puzzle, at some point just get stuck flashing, even when normal play resumes the next round (it happens in the bonus round as well) The debounce when hitting buttons is poor or non-existent.

There have been many times when you push a button to solve the puzzle, it shows you the screen to start inputting text, but then immediately jumps to the next player to spin, as if you forfeit your solve.

After playing a round, if you want to go into the options to change the prize wedge or the gift tags, the wheel doesn’t spin to the correct places, so you cannot see the changes you are making. The game has been out for weeks with these reported bugs and not a peep or update from Ubisoft.

Nintendo must be raking in a lot of cash right now because they are selling hardware with a chip that nearing a decade in age. The net code for online games is clearly from the X360era, I jest not with Mario Kart being the sole exception in my experience.

Moreover, you have to spend money to use this infrastructure but the blame lies entirely on Microsoft for standardizing that. The analog stick drift is still an issue with this budget revision of the original.

Despite all that, I decided to purchase this machine. Why? Gameplay-driven games or just games. Nintendo clearly only has this one thing going on for them and that is they make excellent games, for the most part.

If it’s something by their EPD division or Retro Studios, you’ll be in for a treat. However, everything else, especially the third-party games are massively inferior compared to the versions on the competitors’ hardware while having to pay more for those games, something which is commonly referred to as the Nintendo tax by the gaming community.

People have been calling this a neat little machine for indie games. However, now that the Steam Deck is out and the wait times have been cut down significantly, I’d recommend that over this. But what about the difference in price you may ask.

To that I say the games are cheaper on Steam and it really adds up on the Switch and before you know it, you’ll very likely have spent more money with the Switch than on the Deck. If you care about physical releases though then avoid the Deck.

There are definitely some things I really like about the Switch. For one, I can now play games while lying on my bed. I can play games in the short breaks I take. I can swap out the physical games I own without much effort I wish I could hot swap the SD card as well but as of right now, the OS doesn’t support it.

Steam Deck does, however, so it likely is not a technical limitation. As a new owner, you may have to get used to the form factor because the thing is very tiny and.

I’ve owned my Nintendo Switch for three years, the games supplied for the Nintendo Switch never disappoint. The games are fun and interactive while also being able to be played with friends and family, this console and its games have brought much joy to nights in with friends and family.

My friends and I find ourselves playing the Nintendo Switch for hours when we hang out and my family has game nights once a week where we like to enjoy Mario Party, Mario Kart, and other multiplayer games made for this console.

The Nintendo Switch allows me to play old school games that I once enjoyed as a child, which bring nostalgic feelings. This console can last and be added onto by buying joy-cons and attachments for each game, the biggest pro for this console is the fact that it can be played alone or with others.

Enjoying the new and old games on this console with friends and family is always a good time, when the Nintendo Switch is brought up everyone involved is ready to indulge in all the great selections they have for the console.

One downfall for this system is that not all games from the past are yet available for the public to play, Nintendo slowly releases games for this console old and new. The only perk I could think of to fix this minor issue is having all old school games released when the Nintendo Switch was first released, this would allow more games to play that were once played by adults when they were children.

I recommend this console to anyone who enjoys Nintendo games, it can bring a night together easily with friends and family. This console is very kid-friendly and also has a huge adult fan base, all games can be enjoyed by any age group and allow individuals to play the games they enjoy together.

I’ve always had a huge respect for portable game consoles since the PSP and the nintendo switch/lite is no exception. I’ve had mine for roughly about 6-7 months and I haven’t had any issues with it. For those wondering what are the differences between the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite goes as follows; Nintendo Switch Lite is smaller in comparison and more friendly to those wanting to play hand held, Nintendo Switch Lite DOES NOT HAVE REMOVABLE joycons, the battery life is also slightly lower on the Lite than the original Switch, and the Switch Lite also does not come and isn’t compatible with the Nintendo Switch’s Dock.

The only issue that I’ve heard happens is when the controllers/joycons have drift, drift causes your controls to not respond to your movements making it frustrating to play. This is a bigger problem for the Lite since it doesn’t have removable joycons you’d have to send the entire console in for repair, as to the Switch you can detach the joycons and send those instead.

However, I’d highly recommend purchasing a Pro Controller if you see yourself playing games such as Smash Bros that require fast pace movements to your controller. All in all the Nintendo Switch Lite is a great and amazing gaming console it’s small, easy to store, and a lot of fun to use! I would highly recommend it I have the new blurple lol and I find myself using almost every day!.
