20 Best Gluten Free Egg Noodles (2023 Updated)

My wife is Vietnamese and worked in a restaurant that sold Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai food, including Pad Thai. Often when we go to a new restaurant that has Pad Thai on the menu, she gets it because it’s a good gauge of how good the other food on the menu is.

Well, the good news with this Pad Thai by this company (“Asian Creations”?) is not at all indicative of their other food. Because everything else they make is good to very good. However, we both agree this “version” of Pad Thai is like nothing we’ve ever eaten at any restaurant or even in instant form like this.

It is TERRIBLE. The noodle shape is right, but the sauce is wrong. The sauce is nothing like any Pad Thai we’ve ever had. Not that it’s bad, but it is NOT Pad Thai. And, the sauce combined with these noodles make something very, very slippery that is extremely difficult to eat.

It tastes like some sweet, salty, slightly spicy Chinese fast food sauce, similar to kung pao from a very bad Chinese restaurant. It’s almost like they accidentally put the wrong sauce in this product, because if you compare what this looks like to pictures of kung pao chicken, it looks exactly like it but with noodles instead of chicken.

Besides the sauce, you get around 10 tiny (5mm) pieces of carrot or other vegetables. And quite a few chopped peanuts. And that’s it. In the end, even struggling to get it down your throat, it’s always very unsatisfying eaten alone, which is usually how this kind of food is eaten (like at lunch in an office).

The Thai Kitchen is usually a good choice, and good oriental flavors, but the description is misleading. I thought I was getting a multi-serving product, but for around $6 I only got the one serving dish.

I could not believe what I saw. It was more trouble to try and return it, so I kept it, but will never be hoodwinked again! I know it’s a pandemic and inflation going on, but this was too over the top pricey!.

What’s not to love about Manischewitz? This brand is a reflection of quality. These noodles are no exception. Cooking perfectly and having a delicious taste, these fast-cooking noodles are great tossed with butter!.

I was so used to moms homemade noodles I thought nothing I could get at the store could compare. While not quite as good as moms, I was very surprised at how good the noodles absorbed the flavor of the stock and at the taste of the noodles themselves.

This is a great pasta and the Yolk Free version satisfies the non-egg fan members of my family. I use this in my homemade chicken soup and love how the noodle holds up. No soggy pasta in my soups!

As an Italian who grew up on homemade pasta, I am particular about my pasta. this is the first gluten free pasta without rice I’ve tried that satisfies my Italian taste buds. Also, family and friends who only eat wheat pasta thought it was just as good as what they are used eat if not better! No other gluten free pasta compares Le Veneziane in taste, firm texture, presentation and ease of cooking.

I’ve tried so many gluten-free, rice-free pastas that I’ve lost count. Yet I read the reviews on Le Veneziane and decided to try again, and what great results! This pasta is the only gluten-free, rice-free I’ve eaten that tastes like real pasta.

La Vendziane tastes more like wheat pasta than any of the other brands tried. Cook carefully; when done right, it will have the al dente “tooth.” This shape works well with thick sauces.

I love different along with fun, healthy foods. This product is different. Light and fun to eat. I have made chicken soup. Added these after scrunching them up. I also made spaghetti sauce and served over these noodles.

They are more of a Spaghetti than a noodle! Delicious!.

Though there are many other brands of gluten-free rice noodles, this one is my favorite. Then generally don’t get “gummy” if cooked properly. I freeze them cooked and topped with meat sauce and this reheats well in the oven.

Got hooked on Annie chuns Brown Rice Maifun about two years ago. I eat it with feta cheese garlic and udo’s oil (I know sounds weird but I love it). Eat it about 5 times a week, even my husband likes it.

It’s the texture.

I was asked about butter but couldn’t go back and choose the right brand. I haven’t actually tried these but couldn’t go back and couldn’t make another selection.

It’s perfect for chicken & noodles! The whole family was happy with the meal. Kluskis are the best!

These are, hands down, the BEST noodles for homemade chicken noodle soup. They do not get soggy or break up. They stay in one piece which to me, makes a big difference in many dishes.

I’m sure like many others I grew up eating Maruchan ramen all the time. As an adult I’m aware of how UNHEALTHY that is. I have tried a few other ramen companies that have better ingredients but do not have that same ramen feel.

LOTUS seriously blows it out of the park. It has fantastic flavor that makes it really hard not to make another. Like other ramen noodles a single pack is two servings. Which everyone knows you always eat the whole pack because it’s a small serving.

I added some shredded chicken to mine just to add some protein and it was fantastic. These are expensive if you have a large family like myself. All seven people are obsessed with this. I bought ten just to try it out and these are such a wonderful addition to an easy lunch.

Addicting I wish it was a little cheaper so I could buy more! Will be buying again in a few weeks.

The Barilla gluten free pasta is absolutely fine if you need an easy-to-find or cheaper option for gluten free pasta. It has pretty good consistency and I’ve seen several “regular” pasta eaters try it with no complaints whatsoever.

I don’t prefer it only because it’s a rice and corn blend, and the corn tends to mess with my digestion pretty badly. I stick to rice-only gluten free pastas whenever possible.

I made gluten free chicken noodle soup for a sick relative. I have never cooked with gluten free noodles. So I would just say don’t add them until about 15 minutes before the soup is done. I added them about an hour before the soup was done.

The noodles dissolved for the most part and thickened the broth instead of staying noodly. It did still taste good tho.

this pasta is like a miracle to me lol. going gluten free was hard at first until i found products like this that allow me to still eat the things i love. this honestly tastes like regular pasta. consistency is a little different so it cooks quicker and gets mushier faster but i swear you can barely notice the difference taste wise.

I finally found a brand that taste like real pasta! This is a great alternative to regular wheat flour pasta. I really enjoy this product. It is great flavor and has a wonderful texture. My husband can’t even tell the difference between this and regular pasta.

It is inexpensive and I would definitely recommend it!.

This pasta is delicious! It taste exactly like I remember normal pasta tasting. You can eat it with olive oil, sauces, add anything it’s so good and there are so many different shapes and sizes! I love it.

This is a complete lifesaver. My son is allergic to wheat & eggs, and we have spent a ton of money on many allergy friendly pasta brands but they taste nothing like the original pastas. This one is completely COMPLETELY identical to the regular version and super affordable! This is all we eat and my husband who is very picky can’t even tell the difference! Lifesaver 🙂 p.

s gluten free pasta don’t take long to cook so don’t over cook it:) boil 6-7 mins and it’s perfect!.

Recently found out I have frutcan intolerance and can no longer have wheat products and other stuff… gluten free products have sucked as I also have fructose malabsorption and cannot have pastas made from veggies from my diet restrictions but I am sooo happy and in love with all of barillas gluten free products I wish they made more! Just sucks it’s more expensive than regular pastas and never go on sale like they will but when you have to live the gluten free life that’s just how it is.

Can’t go wrong here the best I’ve ever had, just make sure to stir right after adding to the water.

I bought these the first time about a year ago. I tried them, didn’t like them, thought they were horrible, and left the rest sitting in the pantry for months while I ate egg-based pastas that were barely passable as keto.

At some point I was tight on money and had to use these as they were the only keto pasta I had available. So, at that point I followed the instructions very carefully, boiled them a little longer than directed, and after boiling I put them in the colander and rinsed them under cold water like 5 times until the water had no foam or color.

WHAT A STARK AND IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IT MADE!!!Now I love these noodles! They are the only kind I will buy! I can do literally any sauce or spice arrangement and it matches up very well. My favorite ways to eat them so far:With Pesto & olive oil (yum!)And with truffle salt and assiago cheese!Omg, just rinse them.

It just takes a minute. And they don’t cost an arm and a leg like some other keto noodles.

This is the best wheat alternative pasta I ve ever had. It is not a perfect substitute to regular wheat pasta but it s very good for what it is, while providing incredible macros. First this is not spaghetti, you re not going to emulsify sauces with bean water, and I m so glad they did load it with xanthan gum like other alt pasta brands, however you can easily add it yourself for emulsification I prefer to control the amount so this is a huge plus for me.

Second the texture is a rubbery, certainly not in a bad way but totally different than wheat and closer to vermicelli rice noodles (but firmer). I enjoy the texture, they don t fall apart and cooking instructions produced a pleasant texture.

Lastly is price, these are far cheaper than other alt pasta or ramen brands, and from all of the ones I tried this is my favorite. I tried it with home made bolognese, and the results were great. Not the same as wheat but equally enjoyable.

I felt full despite only having had consumed 550 or so calories, which is much less than a typical serving of regular pasta while hitting over 60 grams of protein.

In terms of gluten-free pasta – this brand is just fantastic. It’s near impossible to differentiate from regular wheat pasta – and easy to cook. Doesn’t go soggy or fall apart when boiled! As with all the gluten-free varieties – it’s a bit pricey but seems to be pretty competitive in costs compared to others.

If you are on the fence about trying gluten-free pasta – this is the one to try! :).

Brittle Spagetti crumbles to 2 inch chunks and doesn’t reheat well. It is acceptable and better than some brands in taste. Before gluten free became a “thing,” there was a health food store brand that used Jerusalem artichokes that was vastly better — identical taste and texture.

I would buy this in a pinch but I wish manufacturers would use a gf blend that contained some of the flours (bean, yam, etc) used in Asian glass noodles which do not fall apart and stand up to reheating.

I really don’t like the mouth feel of this brand but if you have little kids they might prefer this to that Tinky brand brown rice stuff and / or the Banza brand made from chick peas (both better than this in my opinion but you wouldn’t mistake them for regular pasta.

There are so many better choices you can try if you live near an Asian supermarket but I don’t enjoy the running around so I hope the major brands keep tinkering with their recipes. (the asian pastas often have a lower glycemic index too!).

Tried this spaghetti for the first time tonight . Made gluten free meatballs with it . And gluten free garlic bread. Wasn’t a bad meal at all.

Absolutely delicious! You would never know that it is a gluten free pasta. It is perfectly al dente everytime. Easily available and very affordable. I definitely recommend.

These noodles are huge! lol but my favorite to use when I make my chicken noodle soup. One bag is enough for a whole pot of soup. I boil/cook them separately then right before they’re almost done I add them into my soup.

These were pretty good. I normally buy just the regular egg noodles but these had really good flavor. It was nice to have something different. I bought them at Giant Eagle. I would definitely recommend these.

It tasted great served with Salisbury steak.

I haven’t been able to find theses lately, so I’m glad you carry them; Even if I have to have them shipped. They are so good. Not a heavy noodle, great taste.

I am so happy that I found this pasta! I was having a hard time finding the name brand rotini that was gfree and found this. I now like this better than the name brand. Just make sure you test it for your preferred doneness, being it takes longer to cook.

I guess it’s just me, but I found the texture to be a bit strange. Instead of having that normal “bounce” texture that normal pasta has, this one is sort of gritty. Every bite, the pasta noodles would just break apart so easily.

This is my favorite gluten free pasta I like it better than the barrilla gluten free pasta. Can’t even tell the difference between this and regular pasta if you cook it right.
