18 Best Gluten Free Bread Mixes (2023 Updated)

Not just gluten free, but “all junk things free. ” No corn, no potato starch, no gums, nothing that is on my “do not even think about eating this” list. Just pure starch to which you add the basics or more if you want to experiment.

I have never had luck making sandwish rolls from any Chebe mix, but other than that I make small dinner rolls, long “french” style baguettes, round loaves, etc. There are a lot of interesting and tasty recipes on the Clebe web site.

After you make a few batches you can play with the mix and come up with your own goodies. All Chebe baked goods (in fact all tapioca flour baked goods) are chewy – not tender like the same products made from wheat.

We like chewy! We live at around 4000 ft elevation and I find that I have to bake all Chebe recipes longer than the recipe says or they will be wet/gooey in the middle.

I really like this quick bread because there is so much you can do to dress it up. For example, I like to add 2 bananas or a half a cup of applesauce to give the bread or muffins more of a moist texture without adding too much more sweetness.

I have also added plain yogurt, cranberries and walnuts to the bread mix to make it more satisfying as a light meal option. I have also added 1/4 cup of oat flour to this mix to cut down on the sweetness and make the texture and flavor a bit different.

If you add a good deal of additional ingredients, like I do, be sure to add a teaspoon or 2 extra of baking powder or baking soda to the mix before baking to get the bread to rise better.

This is more like a corn bread or a great muffin mix. The bread is sweet and just not what I was looking for. It was easy to make and it was tasty I just wasn’t looking for a sweet bread and therefore would not purchase again.

This lip gloss has been around since I was a kid. I loved it then and I still love it now. It isn’t sticky, it’s easy to apply and not messy, and you don’t need a mirror to touch up. It has a fruity sweet fresh fragrance but no taste, so it’s very pleasant.

This doesn’t add moisture that much but it does not dry out lips either, which is awesome. Love the glossy finish and how long it stays on.

I love pairing these with liquid lipsticks that are very drying, because the bring moisture back to your lips. They have a very hydrating formula, that will help keep your lips looking juicy, soft, and smooth.

They’re very comfortable to wear too. They aren’t sticky, or greasy. It is a lip gloss, so they aren’t very long wearing, but they are easy to apply and reapply. This is one of my favorite lip glosses, and I always have at least one in my makeup bag.

I use this mix to make bread for my dad and it is by far the best gluten free bread mix out there. The final product is also way better than the pre made gluten free breads that are frozen. I highly recommend baking with this.

This bread mix turns out pretty good. While it is hard to get the end result of actual fresh bread with gluten this is a nice substitute. I like to make garlic bread with it.

We love this in our harpies and it becomes a happy Saturday when we can do French toast because allergies are a huge deal in our house it’s also wonderful to chuck in the waffle maker as a faux French toast.

Wow! I’m always searching for something gluten free that resembles the “real” thing. This hit the nail on the head. I did do 2 things slightly different that I believe helped. I did not have jumbo eggs, so I used 3 large eggs.

The other thing I did was mix the batter extremely well and let it sit for a good 10 to 15 minutes. It ended up almost fluffy in consistency, and made a small loaf and 6 good sized muffins. My non-gluten free, picky parents tried it and even had seconds! It was just as good day 2 as well.

This mix is easy to make and the result is an excellent banana bread. The important fact for me is that it is gluten free. That fact combined with great taste and flavor gives five stars.

I have never baked bread before so for me to make a great tasting bread was fantastic. I know that it is all premixed, but you still have to put it all together. Everyone that has tasted the banana bread have loved it.

Whenever there is a special meeting or get together, everyone wants me to bring THE banana bread. There is always a rush to the table to get a slice of bread. I have had to cut the bread down the center and then slice it so everyone is able to have a piece.

I have also made one with walnuts. That one also goes quickly and have had to cut it the same way.

On the dry side. This wasn’t at all as they expected. I followed the directions precisely. It does not have the taste of flatbread at all. It reminds me of a recipe I made a while back made with almond meal.

It has that type of texture. I don’t prefer it so I won’t be buying it ever again.

I prepared this product as two flatbreads and made pesto grilled chicken pizzas for my fiance and I for dinner. We really enjoyed it! This brand, and specifically this mix itself will replace a few different bread items we normally make.

After ruining the entire bag due to misleading instructions I emailed Authentic Foods 11 days ago- have not had any reply from them. I wanted to find out if I had a different package than they’re doing now (the expiration date on it was 073022 so it wasn’t old) and the current instructions make sense.

Since they haven’t replied I don’t know if it’s still like this. I THOUGHT the bag was for one loaf (I’m not a baker, I didn’t realize it was way too much flour for one loaf- and too little for three).

It said *one recipe makes 2lb 8 oz (11171 g) batch of dough so I thought the bag was for one recipe. The instructions are a confusing mixture of US and UK measures- it said Steve’s Bread Flour 542g (19.

1 oz), 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and 2 1/2 cups water. I thought, well, it said cups of water, since it didn’t say cups of flour it means use the whole bag. I was going to put it in my bread machine (again I’m not a baker) but after I mixed it up I realized it was a) far far too dry- not enough water and b) about 3 times what the bread machine could hold.

At that point I went over the label again, and tried to google what 542 grams was in cups, and then I tried to find out what 19. 1 oz of bread flour was in cups and then I tried dividing the 1. 36KG total weight on the package by 542g to try to figure out how many recipes it was supposed to make- it came out somewhere between 2 and 3 so I couldn’t even divide it evenly.

I got my biggest mixing bowl and tossed in more water and 3 more packages of yeast and tried to knead (I’m old and kneading is difficult which is why I wanted to use the bread machine). Then I divided the resulting mass that sort of looked like dough into 3 parts, one for the bread machine and two into loaf pans for the convection oven- at that point I was bemused to discover that the temperature instructions were only in Fahrenheit– if a UK baker who had access to a gram measuring system wanted to bake with it, they’d have to figure out the CENTIGRADE.

So package instructions failed no matter where you were. I wound up with 3 loaves of bread for the birds– and they won’t eat it, either. I’m sad. I haven’t had bread in years and was looking forward to it.

Glad to have found this blend, for GF flours. We’ve been searching since Pamela’s changed their formulations [once a great go-to brand, not so much now, unless you like gummy foods]. FINALLY, we have a GF blend we know we can use again.

And we like the bread flour better than the cake flour, which we like better than their “classic” GF blend.

I don’t know how or why but this is the ONLY gluten free flour blend that actually mimics wheat bread. It makes a dough that is actually dough that you can handle and form, tastes great and has the texture of wheat bread.

I have tried MANY gluten free bread recipes with many different ingredient lists but nothing comes close to this in texture. It is amazing! A little pricy but if you want Gluten free bread that is comparable to wheat bread this is for you.

I normally make all my keto breads from scratch but having something that is just a dump and add a few fresh ingredients is really handy when you want bread and are in a rush. I made this the other day but was really doubtful it would compare to my own homemade bread.

This was just as good and so easy! One of the reviewers stated his loaf was kind of squat. mine was too but it was due to my choice of bread pans. I had accidently prepared a large bread pan two days prior when I was actually making buns.

I had already lined with parchment and sprayed with macadamia oil so I was not wasting it. I put the pan in a large bag until I was ready to use it. The bread was light and fluffy and delicious (but short and long slices.

maybe 2 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches long. like I said. it was due to the pan I used). My nephew who is gluten-free and my niece who is a celiac came over and we had sandwiches with this bread. They were both impressed and could not get over how well it held together and they loved the taste.

I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to make bread but does not want to buy or go through the hassle of weighing all their ingredients.

A great product to have around on a keto diet, especially when one gets the craving to have some low carb bread with little effort to prepare. Could not do without it.

One of the best low-carb breads I have tried (and I have tried quite a few). So easy to make! Will try adding a little baking powder next time, as the bread did not rise very high.
