20 Best Glue Traps For Rats (2023 Updated)

I use these glue traps to catch mice in our log cabin in the woods. I place a few pellets of mouse poison in the center to attract the mice. Sometimes I have caught 2 mice on one board. This rat glue trap works better than the mouse glue trap to catch mice.

I first tried the mouse trap, but it was small enough that the mouse would sometimes get away. That has not happened with the rat trap. They catch the mice before the mice have a chance to do damage.

It is excellent for catching mice, easy to use, great for basement use. Also very affordable, just make sure you put it somewhere your cat or dog can get at it.

These are excellent to have no bait need to set around them very think glue that when the rat is on there he’s not coming off!

Found a mouse hiding behind stove and fridge. I then set one trap between them. First mouse caught in 10 mins. Next day morning we found another mouse running around same area, put the trap in same place.

It got caught in 2 mins. No bait used for both. What I learned that we need to put the trap in a correct place and this trap works very well.

I bought this glue because I was reading reviews and really thought it was great. I applied the adhesive to a large surface but they go over the adhesive. I know this because they leave behind their feces.

I did everything it says should be done, but nothing. I think glue is too expensive but inefficient. My house is still full of mice and I was hoping for salvation in this glue. I do not recommend glue! The money thrown away.

this product is extremely difficult to use but when mastered works well and can solve problems with no other solution. I needed to surround an antique car infested with mice so none could get out or in.

After cutting strips of Masonite to paint the glue on, I first hat to heat the glue to about 225 degrees. this has to be done outside because of the odors given off by the heated glue. it is messy to work with.

In the end I succeeded in barricading my car. If you do not absolutely need a custom glue trap, avoid this product.

I had high hopes for this. It’s not terribly tacky at least not straight out of the can. The weather affects the tackiness. Terrible for cold weather.

These work very well. I’ve caught as many as 3 mice on one trap. I add a block bait to the center of the trap and run a screw down thru the bait and glue-board into the plywood in my attic. Larger size works better than “mouse size”.

Caught a pesky Pack Rat the first night and although he was a big one the trap held him securely.

The Tomcat Glue Traps work as stated on the package, but I ran into a few snags along the way. I aced these traps in my garage, which is separate from my house. This is noteworthy because I tend to get mice and squirrels in the garage.

Two days after placing the traps in various posituons around the garage, I heard a blood-curdling scream coming from said garage. When I got outside, I saw my wife dancing around in the driveway with one sandal off.

She said she was reaching an umbrella on the top storage shelf when she realized that she had stepped on something. That something was a Tomcat Glue Trap AND a mouse. So now I had to deal with a frazzled wife, a sandal with glue on the bottom of it and a half-squished mouse that was still breathing and squeaking.

Although the trap worked in catching a mouse, it left the mouse alive and the trap can also catch family members. I prefer the Tomcat Press ‘n Set traps since they kill the rodent and you can reuse them if desired.

I have used glue traps for many years. I live in a rural location and field mice and black racer snakes are common. Over the years I have caught many critters in this type of glue trap. This new design uses a much thicker base cardboard material making it easier to remove the caught critters.

The flimsy previous version did not support the critter very well when removing them to the trash. This version uses much thicker cardboard underlay. There also appears to be a better more effective scent “button” to attract critters.

I have only had these out for a week now, and have yet to catch anything. The weather is just now starting to get cold and I am sure critters will start coming inside for the winter. I expect I will catch something soon.

My in laws have a serious rat problem in their garage and we lost quite a bit of belongings when we stored them in there over a 6 month period. She tried the traditional traps but were unsuccessful. We got these from Walmart and within 2 days had caught 3!! Couldn’t believe how simple it was! You unfold and place on the ground, they said around walls which we did.

The only problem I had then was the disposal. Yes, I am terrified of them so picking them up off the ground really freaked me out. Got a broom and a box, and just swept them into the box and got rid of them all.

It was actually so much better than the regular “snap” traps too as I did not have to snap my fingers while setting up which I’ve done several times! This was just so much easier and more effective than anything else she has tried.

I used to buy glue traps from Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply. I have never heard of this brand until I came across it on this website. What is interesting is that these traps are less expensive than what I used to buy but yet the glue seems stickier and the cardboard is heavier.

I will never buy my glue traps from any other place other than Webstaurant from now on.

These work like a charm. We placed them outside of our patio where many ants like to build nests. They’ve worked well in trapping them and they are also easy to place and toss. The glue stays intact for a long time, even outdoors without really fading out.

It cant hurt to stock up on these and have them for future use.

These glue boards attract multiple kinds of pests (mice, insects, & spiders) with a peanut butter scented glue. I have one installed in my attic and one in my basement. Very cost effective method of pest control.

This has been my best choice for catching mice. If you have enough space I HIGHLY recommend that you also buy the metal box trap that Catchmaster sells. The top is clear so you can see if you caught mice.

The boards lay flat. Once the mice get in they cant get out. Also, add chunks of dog food in both ends of the box. Its ventilated. Mice LOVE dog food! I put one behind my stove and the mice couldnt hurry enough to get in there.

They can come in either end of the box. Catches them leaving or returning home. I use Glad quart size freezer bags to dispose of the mice. If the box trap is too big for your area then you can still use the boards and turn them into a little box.

Both ways work but if you have the space definitely use the box trap with glue boards. The box trap can also be used without the glue boards if you want to live catch mice to feed reptiles. The only thing I have to say is that you cant be squeamish or else get someone else to dispose of the mice you catch.

Because you will catch mice with these. I rarely use my stove so when I started sleeping downstairs I found out that the mice had taken up residence. They were using the stove as cover to get to the nest they set up around the back corner of the stove, behind the cabinet.

I cant reach the mice and if I could then they would scamper away anyhow. The Catchmaster box trap plus glue board inside caught one right after another so fast that I could barely sit down because it was time to get another one and change the board.

Took a few nights to clear the nest. Its been weeks now and no mice from behind the stove/cabinet nest.

Other brand glue traps have gotten way too narrow in width to catch anything, same as usual, companies getting too cheap on us. These particular traps are wide & long. The glue is very strong. The mice have no choice but to step into the glue to get at the centered bait you place.

The amount of traps you receive is a complete bargain. I caught 4 in two days. The same mice that kept stealing my old wood snap traps blind. Not any more! Have 4 traps placed since the 4 mice caught.

Unfortunately our apartment building has a roach problem that is currently being treated. The company has placed these in our kitchen and bathroom and so far they’re amazing! Once the roach walks in and gets in the glue, they can’t get out and eventually die.

These Catchmaster Mouse & Insect Glue Boards also come in a 60-pk. I initially picked-up a couple of these 4-pk, but then switched to the 60-pk. If you have the misfortune of having to deal with a cockroach infestation, these glue boards work great in the folded-up configuration.

If you’re cleaning-up an area that’s infested, place a number of these traps around the area you want to clean, come back a few days later, then start cleaning. Your cleaning task will be less twitchy then.

Flatten the traps before you discard, use some Doktor Doom products, start cleaning the area, lay-out fresh traps. Call in the pros. Repeat.

I highly recommend this product. I bought a couple different types of traps and this is the one which worked. I recommend strongly getting a box of these and making a solid row of them across any known and suspected pathways.

Put paper under them in case of defecation. If the known/suspected pathway is considered too wide, then block part of the pathway with boxes or some other barrier so that the mouse/mice need to travel over the glue boards.

If left long enough the glue boards can become covered with dust. They are glue boards after all so to be expected. Replace as needed. Please consider how you will humanely end the suffering of the trapped mouse.

A plastic bag full of water is a possibility. As stated I recommend getting a box of these to end your problem quickly.

Great to put under bed feet to catch bed bugs, plus use plastic containers on top of boards to add bug killing powder. Spray side of bedframe with rubbing alcohol daily before bed to send bugs downward.

Use bed protective bags over mattresses. Bugs go down into powder or boards. Others can’t get onto bed. Both directions are covered.

I used Max Roach Baits to kill roaches. Says the baits will “Kill the nest”. Well, they haven’t! I won’t use sprays because I have pets. I looked for glue traps and found these gems. Neat, clean, easy to use and can be cut into smaller strips if needed for small spaces.

All sizes of roaches on the boards. Put a little food they like in the center of each strip and the roaches flock to it, WOW! These glue boards showed me how poorly the household bait trap worked. I am ordering more of these ASAP.

Delivery was fast. Be sure to place the strip where people (kids especially) and pets can’t get to it. Love these glue boards!.

I live in the Dominican Republic. We used to have a domestic glue board in our kitchen but we had a problem with the health department. I saw this product in a trip i made to the States and i got it.

The Health Department approved it and also i trapped some mouses!! Highly Recommend it!!.

So far so good. They do seem very sticky. Can’t see how any insect or pest could get out of this, especially the furry ones. Have complete confidence that this product will make any pest “stick” around for a while.

Price is too high for what you get. But, these glue boards are pretty much as advertised, and they work great. Have used glue boards for years; and, again, they are quite effective. Be careful and make sure you don’t allow the glue surface to touch against anything, including yourself (or others or pets).

You can lay them down flat, or fold them up to make a glue board “tunnel” (as pictured)–I do it both ways. The “cellophane-like” protective covering over the glue surface is challenging to pull off, but it is worth it.

Highly recommend.

Folds to a small rectangular “box” easily. Very good along the walls/base boards inside the building, inside closets, and in the corners. Been catching a lot of little insects trying to crawl through.

I could also lay the trap open and flat but the folding into a box shape keeps me from accidentally touching the glue area. Very sticky! The box shape will fit in smaller areas like behind the refrigerator and storage containers.

Perfect for all little bugs, spiders, a recent stray mouse from nearby new home building project. No longer have our beloved 18 yr old cat. while he was with us never saw a bug in our home. now see a few bugs now and then but all are on the Glue Boards! The mice were not attracted to the traps. I had to put some blocks on it for them to come. There was 5 and 3 got away. It’s adhesive was not strong enough. Some found a way to get off. Disappointed

Rat size traps. These are the inexpenSe paper backing ones. They do the trick. The plastic bottom one which cost a few more dollars tend to work better.

JT Eaton 111 pre stick em pre baited rat and mouse glue trap with peanut butter scent did not work for my country mouse! I cant fault the trap it is pre baited and very sticky even added some cheese to it and still no luck.
