20 Best Glue For Resin Miniatures (2023 Updated)

Good, clear glue for repairs. Can’t comment on longevity, but seems strong. It doesn’t expand when it dries BUT does take up some space – you’re unlikely to achieve an invisible join on something like a broken mug with this, but neither will any other glue and I imagine it’s one of the products which will get you closest to it.

You need to mix the two compounds to create the glue, but instructions are clear and easy. It’s not a fast-drying glue, but that can be very useful if there are bits to fiddle with.

So far I have used this product to repair a broken pottery handle and the spar from a gazebo. The product is easy to mix and the dark colour did help me to see where I had applied it. In both cases I prepared the joint to give the Araldite a clean surface to bond to and some clearance.

The pottery handle would be subjected to frequent handling and so to achieve the strongest joint that I could envisage I drilled the fracture faces to enable steel pins to be inserted, such that they would bridge the joint.

The Araldite was then applied into these holes and the steel pins inserted. The joint was made with small amounts of cyanoacrylate glue on the faces. The cyanoacrylate provided an instand bond to hold the joint whilst the Araldite was allowed to cure.

The surplus Araldite on the mixing card showed that it hardened to a strong and brittle material, which was now bonding three steel pins across the original fracture. The gazebo repair was carried out by bonding a shaped wooden moulding inside the broken oval steel tube.

Both repairs are still holding up and I am very pleased with the product. The only problem that I have had with previous forms of this product is that the screw caps can become difficult to remove and replace once they have been used a few times.

To avoid this it is necessary to avoid the contents of the tubes from contaminating the threads. Time will tell!.

Found this epoxy mix to suit my trip into model building. It is quick setting, and comes in individual squeeze containers. I have found dual joined tubes a pain in the backside, as there always seems to be uneven amounts deposited or one won’t work.

Individual containers allows controlled adjustments of resin and hardener. Only problem is I have found fumes of the hardener to be somewhat nauseating. Otherwise good product for clear work.

Works exactly as advertised and provides a brilliant finish and an extremely strong hold. It does cost more than many other epoxies but this pays for itself as it does work every time providing you follow the instructions.

It bonds very quickly but I tend to leave the parts for 24hours for total curing. I have tried the 30minute cure time but found this to be to long hence the purchase of the 5minute glue.

High quality5 minute epoxy. I bought it for it’s ability to take small amounts of acrylic colour. The resin in the previous batch thickened and started to set after a year so I bought the small one this time.

Overall an excellent epoxy. The mercapton hardner does smell a bit and wear disposable gloves when using.

I bought this to just have on hand, in case I would have a need for it; and the next day, voila, the need: our Christmas tree fell, and a number of ornaments were broken, but appeared fixable. So I took the tube off of the packaging; then out of the holding tube; and punctured the tip as described; to only find that the glue inside had to have been hardened in its shelflife! I could not simply squeeze the contents out no matter what! When my husband got home that night, he too tried; and no luck! That was indeed maybe just, hopefully, a fluke of a tube; however, I did take it back to staples with the sales reciept and ask for money back.

Had I kept it around for a long time and then found it hard, that’s one thing, but the next day! It can’t be given any stars from me!.

I’ve been using Weldwood Plastic Resin Glue for more than 50 years, ever since my dad taught me woodworking by building a cherry bedroom suite for me as a kid. It requires careful measuring and mixing, and work must remain tightly clamped for at least 24 hours.

(I generally leave my work clamped for 72 hours,) so it’s not for casual jobs where you might just pull out a bottle of hide wood glue, but done according to the instructions, the glued joint IS stronger than the wood around it, and it will last forever.

I’ve used it both for original construction, and most recently, needed to repair a store-bought cutting board that had come unglued. Since Weldwood is waterproof after it has set up, that cutting board won’t be coming apart at that joint again, even though it goes in the dishwasher after each use.

For long term storage, the Weldwood glue powder will absorb moisture, even though the container seems tightly sealed, rendering the glue unusable. It’s easy to tell when mixing, because the powder and water should turn into a creamy liquid with the consistency of light molasses.

If the powder doesn’t dissolve in the water, then it’s absorbed moisture in storage and is no longer any good. To avoid that problem, I place the closed container of Weldwood Plastic Resin Glue inside a Food-Saver bag and shrink wrap it, so it draws all of the air out of the bag (and out of the glue container).

When the Food-Saver seals the bag, no air or moisture can get in to contaminate the glue powder and it will be ready when I open it to use next time. This is not the product to use for those “quick and dirty” projects, and it’s not going to provide strong joints unless they are tightly clamped, as it relies on clamping for the resin to penetrate the wood fibers on either side of the joints.

So, given that it has a focused scope of use, I’ve found no better wood glue on the market for those jobs where you are going to put in the time and effort do do things right and expect them to last forever.

This came up as an extremely good glue in Wood by Wright’s test of 64 different products. Good for long graIn to long grain, long grain to end grain, outdoor, gap filling and with strength more than the wood.

I used it with clamps to fix a longitudinal split in a board after resawing. It worked perfectly.

This is a very old form of glue, however it still has its place and is very useful. The glue is mixed with water when needed, the advantage is the extended set up time. I am building a Victorian Sleigh for my great grand daughter.

The runners are 10 laminations of ash wrapped around a fixture 70 inches long. The glue allows the time necessary to align all of the strips and clamp them down. It does require 24 hours of time to dry and must remain clamped in place.

When you purchase the glue there is a 4 digit date of manufacture code on the back , something like 7180, which is 2017 the 180th day. This product has a one year shelf life, take that into consideration when doing a project.

Using super thin ca glue as a wood turning finish. Easy to work with and can be polished to an exceptional smooth and shiny long lasting finish. Great product!!

I have now used this glue for several weeks working on my model trains. It is very easy to use. I apply it with a very thin wire and can control it very well this way. I really like how quickly it sets up and holds solidly.

I highly recommend this glue for modelers.

I use this stuff for so many projects! Super-fast set (1-3 seconds). Just be sure to have some Uncure debonder within arms-reach just in case (see my review of the Uncure debonder for ore info).

then I decided to read some of the other reviews, and all was great! Most complained-about items: 1) There is no syringe cap – WRONG! There is a black cap that’s part of the squeeze mechanism. If you see it, it has been cut and hanging on with tabs.

In fact, you’ll see it in the product photo, right in the middle of the black. 2) Curing time is 24 hours – WRONG! IF, you stir the two compounds for about 30 seconds, you’ll get an extremely hard bond.

My first 2 were junk because I didn’t mix them longer than 10 seconds. You can also put micapowder in it and have your epoxy match your surface, which is what I’ve done on several occasions now.

If you want a product that sets so fast you can’t get it to your work this is it. I’m a gunsmith and work with adhesives all the time but this one wasn’t worth the cost or my time. There are many, many reasons for a fast setting epoxy but you have to have enough time to apply it to the work and then position it so it’s in the place you desire.

This epoxy was dispensed, quickly mixed and the article to glue picked up and then the stick to spread was placed into the epoxy. The stick picked up a semi-hardened glob that was unspredible. Also the 1 oz size I wrong as well.

It was half of that easily. Save your time and money on this one.

Price was very affordable which convinced me to give it a try. Got it back to the work shop. and that’s when the troubles began. Opening the tube was a pain. Cap wouldn’t snap back on. Even though I wasn’t squeezing the tube, the plunger, etc.

The product continually oozed from the tube creating a mess on my work bench, my hands, the item I was trying to fix. So, not worth it. Very frustrated.

Gorilla Glue is one of the most effective products I have ever used. It does what it is supposed to, and well. Howsoever, like all glues, if you leave it sitting around too long, it dries up and goes bad.

SO! Mini’s should help immensely with that problem. I haven’t used one yet, but, I’m sure I will soon, and if the little tube has enough glue for one or two fixes, that’s great, because it does its job, and then you toss away the remnants without regret, and when the next need for gluing pops up you open a fresh tube!.

Even though this glue is not instant it is worth the wait to see how strong this glue can be. I was skeptical because of the process. But after following directions the bond was remarkable. Let me tell you how, first you clean the area, spray a little water on the area, then clamp and leave it for a couple of hours.

Totally worth the wait! Again, if you still want an instant glue Gorilla Glue might not be for you.

I really like Gorilla Glue but bottles tend to solidify on my shelf over time. This gives me a one use quantity while leaving the other tubes in unopened condition. If I have extra, who cares. I can just toss it which is better than throwing out a whole bottle that got hard.

Great glue. Used it for years on models and everything else around the house. So thin you assemble the pieces and squeeze it in between. It wicks into the crevices and bonds quickly. Good stuff!

This is the worst super glue I have ever tryed to use. The only thing it worked on was a piece of paper that I’d accidentally spilled a drop on and then set my project on. Even then it didn’t take much effort to remove ther paper.

Also the tiny nozzles don’t fit and neither does the little red cap to seal it. It’s too small.

This is my favorite brand of super glue. It connects generally everything together and it’s not very messy. It comes out clear. Great for both indoor outdoor projects. I use it a lot of general crafting.

When regular glue won’t cut it during crafting gorilla glue will save the day!!.

When using glue its always a concern when using if once it hardens it actually stays. The one thing I always know when it comes to Gorilla Glue is it’s made to work and work good. And this clear is not any less in strength than my expectations expected.

Now its the great original strength of Gorilla Glue just not seen, so can be used on crafts for extra protection.

Gorilla glue came in handy to put back together a broken picture frame. In less than 15 minutes, the glue dried and was as good as new. It’s been more than 10 days since the glue was applied to the frame and still holding up well.

This epoxy is absolutely awesome. My grandson has many hard plastic toys that get broken often. This epoxy has worked without failure. He has one toy gun in particular that he has broken three different times.

The plastic joints fixed by this epoxy have never failed. The latest item fixed by this epoxy was a driver side rear view mirror on my neighbors car that had been severely broken in many places. This was a real test of this epoxy because of the amount of weight on the repaired joints and the fact that the car was being driven daily to and from work.

After five days, it is still holding until the insurance authorizes the repairs. This is absolutely the best plastic adhesive that I have every used.

This product does exactly as described and is easy to install. Hands are attractive and stand out. Good value for money.

I got a foam headliner from a junkyard out of a vehicle that was rolled. Needless to say that the headliner had several breaks in it but it was the only one I could find after 3 separate trips to the junkyard looking for one, and it was in better condition than the one that my truck was missing.

I used this epoxy to hold the headliner back together and it worked flawlessly.
