20 Best Gaming Headsets For Ps4 (2023 Updated)

TLDR; These are good if you want to be spoiled with amazing audio while also being able to walk away from your computer. Microphone is acceptable quality, though not brag-worthy. Fantastic battery life and comfortable.

It was not too bad, mostly wireless pairing steps, though it did work right out of the box I just needed to pair them properly for the newest software updates that I wanted. There are pre-made audio levels available like one made specifically for music, gaming, movies, etc.

you can save your own sound levels to customize what frequency of sound you want to hear most. The audio is fantastic quality, very crisp, and makes you want to close your eyes and just enjoy the music.

It turns out the microphone is not brag-worthy but it does sound nicest without any “voice enhancers”. It seems the “ok” quality microphone is because most of the bandwidth is used up by providing fantastic audio while the little remaining is used for the microphone, which is ok, choose your priorities.

If you need a better quality microphone while also amazing audio Sennheiser has the equivalent headset but wired which I’m sure does better. I have thick walls so the wireless doesn’t work too far from my computer, only about to the adjacent rooms the audio comes through but my microphone drops out here and there in those rooms.

Any further and I lose both but it automatically reconnects when I come in range. I was concerned when I pulled these out of the box by how light they felt and how cheap the material seemed but after using them they really are quality headphones.

I saw a review video pulling the ear cups horizontally apart and twisting very hard and they still didn’t break but I didn’t risk testing that. They do handle a little tossing around at minimum. The only weird software experience I have had is with discord where notification sounds or someone entering or leaving the call will occasionally cut out all audio for a second, but not every time.

I believe it is due to some setting I can’t locate in discord. last thing, I have a small head and was worried about finding a good headphone that would fit me. This fits great at the smallest adjustment setting and doesn’t put too much pressure at any particular point.

The ear cups are snug to my head and the headband helps hold them up too. I also let my friend with a significantly larger head put them on and while he maxed out the adjustment, it did fit quite well too.

I wear these all day for days on end and so far no complaints about comfort.

I started my search using “audiophile recommended headphone”. I found myself modifying my search, but “audiophile” stayed in the searches. I wanted something that most audio nuts agreed actually sounded good, without being terribly expensive.

When I was down to four choices, this Sennheiser stood out because of the 100 hour battery life. These headphones are almost a life changing experience. Not only do movies, Youtube, etc sound better, but phone calls work! VOIP and Google Voice were almost unintelligible, until now.

Today, I can talk to someone around the world, and it really sounds as if they are sitting next to me. I’ve asked several people about the sound quality of the microphone, and they unanimously agree that the sound is great.

This GSP 370 beats any headphone / headset I’ve ever owned, and that includes a couple pair of Sennheiser I’ve owned in years past. One more thing: It works with Linux! The headset shows up as GSP 370 headset on my system, and it just works without diving into the drivers morass.

Anyone who has never had multiple wireless headsets would probably be ok with this headset but from someone who has owned multiple cheaper headsets, i can safely say this is not a good choice. Let’s start off with the good, the battery life is insane, like really really good, feels fairly light, really cups onto your ears to block out surrounding noise, but that’s where it ends.

The sound quality is ok, the kind you say, yeah this is ok. i guess. but my partners razer nari sounds alot better for over $100 less, it will take you a year and a day just to get the software to sound anywhere near like you want it.

I have noticed a small static noise just from general use and looking on forums this is completely normal, listening to youtube or something that isnt that loud you can hear it. Every time you wake your pc up from sleep or turn it on, you have to unplug and replug the dongle to get it to reconnect, again, normal, look at the forums.

The build quality is the most basic cheap feeling headset ever, no big deal if it sounded good but it just doesnt. On off button is janky, doesnt belong here. Sennheiser is generally known for outstanding mic quality, not here, look elsewhere, horrible.

Noise cancelling technology is hit and miss, not even selectable in the software. The volume wheel lags, i dont know how it does but after you do volume up or down it takes about 2 seconds for the sound to actually change, annoying when trying to fine tune.

No mute headset button, someone wants to talk to you, better take that headset off, no game sound / voice chat dial like every other headset. would recommend the razer nari, or even a pair of RIG 800hd which lasted me 3 years before they started degrading.

Lucidsound LS35 werent too bad for a cheaper headset too, great features on side of headset for sound control.

Constant radio static: Steelseries support claims this is an unavoidable part of wireless audio. Im not sure if they are dumb or think we are. This is the only wireless device i’ve owned, besides a cheap kids walkie talkie set, to have static.

They sound awful: The have almost no base at all. As in when you run the sound test from windows sound menu, you almost cannot hear the base voice line at all. Same for the steelseries GG softwares audio test.

The software is severley lacking: The equalizer is missing most of the sound range, giving you very few options for improving the sound. They have a beta software called sonar, which has some of the best features iv’e seen and drastically improved the quality of the headset to atleast match cheap earbuds.

But this software works with any audio device from any brand. So your still better off starting with a better headset. The construction is flimsy, impossible to repair and uncomfortable: The ear cups are connected by a single hollow rotating joint.

Any drop or big bump threatens to turn this $500 headset into a useless lump of plastic. The weird way they connect to the headset makes it nearly impossible to tape or glue it back together if it did break.

The headband design is bewildering, the single thin unpadded strip is guarenteed to start causing pain in any extended gaming session. The solid arching piece connecting the ear cups, seems to just add unnecassary weight and barley holds tension.

The cups are only just wide enough for my above average ears. But not nearly deep enough. if your ears stick out these will likely be painful for extended wear.

I have had this headset since November 2018 and It’s an ALRIGHT headset but definitely not worth the price. PROS – 2 batteries so you can quickly switch between them so you can charge one while using the other – Wireless – Good mic – Good sound – volume wheel on headset is good – Wireless base station with a good screen – Bluetooth connectivity so I can talk to someone on the phone while simultaneously having game sounds coming through the headset – Mic retracts to be nearly invisible Cons – The on button.

You have to hold it for what feels like 5-10 seconds before it turns on. – The headset turns off when you switch the batteries so you have to turn it on again when you put the new one in. – The mute mic button is really sticky and doesn’t feel high quality.

Plastic rubbing against plastic and not pushing in smoothly. – The “game audio” and “chat audio” thing is horrible. My chat audio always comes through with a high pitch wine. I have all my audio running through “game audio” – The headset sometimes switches on and off when I put the headset down and pick it up.

– Head band does not have enough range for different sized heads. – The small nail cut out for taking the side panel off is difficult if you have short nails. – Ear cup “leather” degraded and disintegrated, leaving black stuff on the side of my face.

– Part where the metal head band arm met the ear cup broke on the ear cup plastic. – It can connect to your computer via a cable but not USB C. -.

The comfort is good and the overall sound quality and mic is pretty good. That said, i believe it is way overpriced for what you are getting, and the HiFi aspect is a bit of a gimmick considering what these are made for.

Some games don’t play well with the HiFi 96hz mode enabled (I also have a MOTU M2 audio interface that can run at 192KHZ with my 250 ohm Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros). The problem with Hifi mode in games with the Steel Series DAC mostly has to do with the directional quality as the sound isn’t fluid as you pan around.

It randomly jumps sometimes instead of panning smoothly when orienting your character in a video game. That isn’t the case with HiFi mode off, but there is also an issue the appears when running these in the normal “PC” mode.

There is a well known glitch i quickly discovered when running this headset on the default “PC” mode which gives you separate controllable channels (thru the DAC) for both your chat and game audio. They are called “GameDAC Chat” and “GameDAC Game”.

If you do not put your PC to sleep with the “GameDAC Game” set as the audio solution currently being used “GameDAC Game” will disappear in the audio menu when you wake your PC. You will have to either unplug and re-plugin the DAC, or go into the DAC menu and turn on “HiFi” mode for a second, then turn HIFI mode off.

Windows 10 will display the “GameDAC Game” audio selection again. Just Google “GameDAC Game disappearing” and you will see what I am talking about. It is an issue that has been going on since release of this headset, but hasn’t been fixed for some reason.

This was my first wireless headset and has been better than most wired ones I’ve owned. The battery life is ridiculous. I’ll be running it all day for work, gaming all night and then only have to charge it maybe once a week.

The overall build quality and finish on the headset is nice. There is just enough clamping pressure and it fits my head well. The over the ear cups also make it comfortable and I have no issues wearing it daily for 14+ hours.

The boom arm and volume control knob feels solid and has nice tactile feedback. The advanced noise cancelling has been great as well. It cancels so much noise people think I’ve muted them at work and they always ask me if I’m still there.

The added bonus of lift to mute is handy as well. It’s just nice to have there if you need it. The main reason I picked up the headset was for the wireless feature. This has saved me from yanking over my PC tower and laptop so many times.

The range is impressive. I could leave my computer, walk down the hallway and head to the kitchen and still hear the boys on discord and chat with them. The microphone does what I need it to do. I have clear conversations at work and my friend’s haven’t had to tell me they can’t hear me or I’m muffled like my previous headset.

If you’re looking for a studio quality ASMR professional microphone, I’d just buy a dedicated microphone for that. This is fine for gaming and general everyday conversations. I’ll preface this by saying that this headset I bought had a mid year sale on, but overall great headset.

The Razer BlackShark V2 wireless headset is a good gaming headset for PC. It’s lightweight with comfortable fitting earmuffs, excellent sound quality for gaming and listening to music, and decent overall construction despite it’s relatively low weight.

It comes with everything you need including a charger, a wireless USB adapter, a detachable microphone, and a fabric bag to store everything in. The controls are simple and function well. My only complaint is that the adjustment sliders seem oddly designed, like you’re moving the earmuffs up and down on paperclips instead of a solid plastic or metal slider.

So far that hasn’t caused any functional problems, but it’s evident that it’s a rather fragile part of the whole package, so you’ll want to avoid droping them on hard surfaces. For $145 I think they could have done better with the overal construction of the headset, as it’s lightweight nature, while very comfortable for long gaming sessions, also leaves it feeling a bit flimsy.

Most of the money seems to have gone into the speakers, which do provide exceptionally high quality audio, but nothing that isn’t comparable to other gaming headsets within this price range, so shop around before you pull the trigger on these.

Overall, I would recommend this headset to PC gamers who enjoy long gaming sessions and have a dedicated space to store this headset, as it probably won’t fare very well just being tossed around haphazardly.

I think there are other headsets with better build quality and comparable audio quality within the price range, but that better build quality often manifests as additional weight, so if you really want a comfortable, lightweight headset that provides exceptionally good audio quality, I would recommend this headset.

The headphones themselves sound awesome and the mic sounds really good for what it is. The drivers are great and have no problem hitting lows, punchy or sustained bass, which is what I look for in a headphone.

They sound like they should be in something two or three times the price. I honestly think they sound better than my old sony dj headphones, mdr-v700’s. and they were over $150, however they prob block out more background sound since the cups are vinylish.

the cups themselves on the steel series are not vinyl or anything that gets hot and uncomfortable, its something like a thicker type of cottonish stuff with some light foam like stuff for padding. I can wear them for hours and not have heat or comfort issues.

I got them so I could have a mic while playing iracing. having a volume control and mic mute right on the left ear is very convenient. The mic is also detachable so it can just be headphones only. You cant find a better headphone even if you go up another 25 bucks.

You can save a couple bucks and get the 20 or 30 dollar headphones but I consider those disposable since they are basically dollar store stuff with small drivers and no.

Pulse 3D are great headsets, without a doubt, but despite that, there are certain drawbacks that should be mentioned. At the beginning, and perhaps most important of all, the sound quality is really great, especially considering that this is a headset that costs 100 EUR.

The so-called 3D sound should definitely be mentioned. The experience is really impressive and hard to describe in words, but one thing is for sure, the whole gaming experience is completely different with this headset on your head.

As for the look itself, the headphones visually look modern. They certainly stand out from the competition. I opted for the black version as it looks nicer to me personally, but also because I secretly hope that Sony will offer official black matte plates in the foreseeable future, so with the black DualSense and black headset it could really look nice.

Anyway, despite the beautiful design, the material from which they are made seems cheap and it is quite certain that this is not a premium thing. But as I mentioned, the price definitely justifies that shortcoming.

They seem very comfortable, at least for now, I only recently bought them so I haven’t had a chance to wear them for a long period of time, but judging by the initial experience, there should be no problem with long use.

In addition to all the above, you can also use these headset to listen to music on your computer or mobile phone, the only thing that needs to be emphasised is that in that case you’ll need to use a wireless USB transmitter, which then needs to be plugged into an available USB port.

My computer only has USB-C ports so it’s a bit inconvenient because I have to use an adapter, but despite that, the sound quality is extremely high quality. In short, all the recommendations for this headset, especially considering the price and what you get for it.

I cant give 2. 5 five stars so 3 stars it is. I compared these against Sony – WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Cancelling headphones and i was disappointed with both of them and heres why. Pulse 3D headphones exclusively build to take advantage of ps5 tempest 3D audio engine lack the high audio volume and high quality fidelity to accomplish what the tempest engine can deliver yet it delivers a decent enough quality and volume if you don’t have a noisy environment like refrigerator,AC, dogs, loud neighborhood etc.

Due to the lack of noise cancelling for the earphones them selves or enough volume to provide enough volume to overcome some what the outside noises. Conectivity: and latency however either connected directly or wireless bluethooth to the ps5 is not only very easy but also responsiveness is very fast, no latency between what you do on screen to you ears, its right on the money.

Comfort: They are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time the ear cuff is to small and round, clipping the edge of your ear hurting it overtime specially if you wear glasses. There is a way around it and that’s if you have small enough ears to not get clipped or if you just willing to endure the pain or get use to it, which i think no one should get use to something thats wrong.

Sound Quality: Disappointed, before getting these i tested the Sony – WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Cancelling headphones side by side and they weren’t even close to deliver what the M4s could, which was disappointed because i was hoping for if not a bit better at least equal since these pulse headphones had the upper hand being built specifically for the ps5 however the M4s are not recognized by the ps5 bluethooth compatibility which blew my mind because why in the hell would a Sony WH 1000M4 headphones not be bluethooth compatible with a sony Ps5! You are Nuts Sony! Yet even with that issue the M4s delivered a more believable 3D audio connecting the M4s through my tvs bluethooth even though connection was not stable between my tvs bluethooth it still managed to deliver better sound than the playstation pulse headphones when connection was stable.

Now plugin directly to the controller is where the M4s sound muffled just like the pulse did which it through me off, so something weird is going between sound delivery between the controllers bluethooth and ps5 something to keep in mind or dig deeper into.

If only the m4s had a direct bluethooth connectivity with ps5 im sure they would have been the go to for gaming on ps5 and take you closer to 3D tempest audio more then the pulse could ever do, do to the lack of outside sound isolation or higher volume capabilities high enough to drown whatever environment noises you may have.

If you have the money get the M4s and buy a separate bluethooth dongle to plug into the ps5 and see if that works ( i did not test that ) yet even if you don’t youll will be happier with the somys WH 1000 m4s due to better quality audio, higher volume capabilities, environmental sound isolation and way more comfortable (Way) more comfortable than the pulse 3D playstation headphones.

I bought this headset after trying a few new ones out in store, before this I had a Corsair Void RGB set. I have a fairly small head as far as noggins go for an adult male and unfortunately I have a really hard time finding headsets that will fit properly without sagging on my ears or pinching awkwardly on the sides of my head.

This usually leads to extra fatigue and headaches while gaming for long periods of time. This is why I was SUPER excited to find that this headset fit my head and was ultra light when compared to other headsets in the price range.

(If you get neck cramps while gaming try finding a lighter headset! This one weighs about HALF of it’s competitors in some cases. ) Unfortunately the positives I feel are far outweighed by the negatives with this headset.

Even when fully charged I find mine randomly shutting off at times, the battery life is great for about 2-3 weeks after purchase and then takes a SHARP nose dive into oblivion. For reference I work from home and my old Void headset was capable, even after break in period, to offer around 15 or so hours of battery life.

With these, after 6 months of ownership, I find I can barely squeak 5 out. At that point I may as well just use my 2 year old Void set as I’ll expect the same battery life but much better sound quality.

There is a quick mute on the left side above the microphone, however there are no indicators that the headset is actually muted. This is unfortunate for those of us in and out of Discord calls all day where the muting function is useful.

Unless you also have an unusually small head, I would not recommend these for any type of hardcore use. (Twitch streaming, at home working, etc. ).

-The battery life was pretty amazing and that’s needed as they come with an extremely short charging cord. So if you’re in a situation needing to charge them while wearing it’s out of the question without purchasing longer cord.

-This was noticeably the warmest headset I’ve ever had and it only took about an hour to really standout. -When in came to the sound not to be rude however it had the similarity of kids using a cup and a string to talk to each other.

-The removable microphone is good option if your going to be solo gaming. -Earcup RGB “sometimes” comes back turning on the headset even though it was set to off last time. Frustrating as the RGB kills you battery time by a lot.

So with battery life and removeable microphone the highlights for me personally unfortunately this isn’t what I’m looking for. Hopefully in the future HyperX makes cooler earcups (maybe include cloth option) and consider including a longer charging cord.

First off I want to say I do not recommend this headset at all. I bought this for multiple purposes which include gaming and work from home. This headset won’t stay connected to the computer or Xbox.

You have to unplug the usb and plug back in multiple times a day. I tried to delete driver on the pc and reinstall driver but that didn’t work either. USB slots on my computer and xbox are in the back of the devices and such a struggled to do this multiple times a day.

The sound and mic quality is good but it doesn’t make up for this hassle. I’ll be returning this to Best Buy but definitely not worth $159 or for the sale price of $119. For this quality it’s worth no more than 20 bucks.

I hate writing this because I’m a die hard HyperX fan but I’ve always had wired headsets and it appears I may make a return to wired after this experience.

I bought this headset last year around the beginning of the pandemic because I knew I’d be gaming a lot. At the time I wasn’t very knowledgeable on gaming equipment and essentially grabbed the first headset I saw that looked decent.

Unfortunately that headset happened to be this one. To start, you can’t use the headset wirelessly if you want to play with friends as when used wirelessly the mic sounds absolutely horrible. Also, they really aren’t very comfortable at all.

Very heavy, hard on the ears. The main reason I am writing this review is to tell people that you can get a WAY better headset than this one for the same price or even cheaper from companies such as steelseries and Logitech.

Please do not waste your money on this headset.

Pros: Overall good sound. Compatible with PS4 Pro Cons: Battery life is subpar given the $150 price tag on these. Build quality is a 3/5 (same comment as above, subpar) Ear cups not as soft/comfy or seals nearly as well as my $60 Tao Tronics.

They need a dongle perpetually connected to PS (why in the world would Sony not allow it to connect like any usual/standard/logical Bluetooth electronic without annoying dongle). In short, good sound but definitely not worth the price.

These are very good headphones, high quality, fit well, good 3-D sound with good adjustments. However, it seems to be a fairly well known problem that the USB Bluetooth wireless connection fails after some time, meaning you can only use them wired to the controller or phone you’re using.

The worst part is Sony offer no support, replacement or repairs for this and prefer to refer users to a circular path of website support.

Just to start off, I do like this headset a lot when compared to my previous wireless headset (BlackShark V2 Pro) and there are some great things about it. First, and definitely the main selling point of this headset, is its incredible battery life.

I read reviews that said it lasted beyond its rated 300 hour battery life and I can confirm it is that good. The sound quality is nice but the EQ presets are a bit lacking with the HyperX software. The build quality is nice but the fit is a bit awkward for my head as I have noticed my ears get a little uncomfortable after some longer use.

Some actually annoying issues I have with this headset come from the audio side of things with some awful clicking sound nearly every time there is a sudden audio transition (i. e. a video stops on youtube or you pause a song).

This is really annoying since it seems to be a general issue with the Cloud Alpha line and not just this wireless version of it. It isn’t a deal breaker for me but I wish it didn’t do this obviously.

Other than that, the only other issue I have is that there is a very subtle amount of white noise I hear when the headset is on but I really only notice it when I turn the headset off and realize that there was actually some static noise.

I do like this headset a lot and I appreciate the wireless consistency compared to my previous headset along with the battery life that’s in a league of its own but it is important to note its flaws.

Despite slightly superior overall audio quality to built-in TV speakers, like the superiority of 3D movies, you don’t even notice the difference after a few minutes. However, I never forget the constant mild pressure around my ears whose impact becomes super obvious once I take the headset off.

I’ve never used gaming headsets, but have heard of the “night and day” difference they make compared to a TV’s speakers. I figured I’d go get these on Black Friday. Even for $60 though instead of $100, it’s not worth it.

I’d rather have a comfortable head, $60 in my wallet, and less wires than deal with the slightly better overall audio, and I mean slightly. Why only slightly better audio? 1. Some sounds are more pronounced, but others are a bit muffled, while TV speakers have more of a middle-ground for everything.

2. The maximum sound level on the Nintendo Switch was absolutely pathetic. I have good hearing, and it was just enough to be suitable. This is unacceptable. What are people with impaired hearing supposed to do? At least my TV can blast the audio if I wanted.

3. Even with inferior sound, you still notice the difference of sound all around you from TV speakers over headphones. 4. Music showed almost no noticeable quality difference. It was mostly sound effects prevalent in video games.

I didn’t know what I was missing with a gaming headset, and it turns out, not much. Maybe super expensive headsets offer that “night and day” difference people are talking about, but for a $100 list price for a wired set, I expected better.

I didn’t even test the mic because I have no use for it. I know headsets have always struggled with comfort. It’s just not worth it.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset is an excellent gaming companion. The battery life really is incredible. I’ve been using it off and on for a little over a week and I have yet to charge it. It arrived with around 90% battery and I’m around 60% now.

Sound quality is what you’d expect from HyperX, similar profile to the wired Cloud Alpha. Punchy bass when you need it and an overall crisp sound. Mic is clear and the mic-monitoring is really great.

Works well on PS5 and PC. I love that you can turn it on and off from the headset itself, sometimes if it’s only software based I encounter more issues. I did notice a couple disconnects when playing on PS5.

All sound cut out and turning the headset on and off did not fix it. I unplugged the USB receiver and plugged it back in, which seemed to fix the issue. This was before an update for the headset and I haven’t experienced that since.

The NGENUITY software is a little glitchy. have to install from the Microsoft Store. I was using an old beta due to some issues with my HyperX keyboard and the headset was not recognized. Restarted and then it seemed to work and update.

Overall, great headset and you can’t complain about battery life. Great knowing it will work without having to charge every other day. Also if you happen to have velour pads from the wired Cloud Alpha, those fit and work on these.

Lose a touch of bass, but reduce some of the heat. Pros: -BATTERY LIFE!!! -Sound -Mic -Fit Cons: -Some quirks with NGENUITY software -No bluetooth or 3. 5mm (knew this going in and doesn’t bother me, but good for some folks to know).

These headphones were the one of the coolest audio experiences I’ve had when I first plugged them in. Then the first update from SteelSeries’ GG software came. I installed it because it forced me to.

From that point on I had to pause the songs from my phone multiple times to get the audio to suddenly work right again. If I didn’t do it, the audio was harsh, overly bright and missing the lower frequencies entirely.

Then another update came, and forced me to update. This update didn’t appear to change anything until I went to play the following day. Now the headset doesn’t get any audio except for Bluetooth. The headset went from being amazing to unusable in under 72 hours seemingly from updates that SteelSeries forced.

Now the headset is sold out everywhere and backordered. I am not happy. For those wondering why I still gave it a 3 star, it’s because I would have given it a 5 star and a review that would have gushed about how amazing they were had this not happened.

The sound quality is quality is about on par with my Sony WH-1000XM4’s, though the soundstage is naturally wider even before using the SONAR system. The build quality of the headset and DAC are right where they should be for the price.

The fact that I can have my phone playing music through Bluetooth while the game audio from my computer is also playing is amazing and I’m not sure why nobody else is doing this with their headsets. I love that the headset makes it so the Bluetooth audio is stereo even when the game audio is using SONAR.

Speaking of SONAR, the software is really what makes this headset shine (before they ruined it) though. I usually avoid fake surround sound and just get really good stereo open back headphones because it usually makes everything sound echoey and fake, but SONAR has so much tuning ability at your fingertips that you can really make anything sound the way you want with these.

The detail is there for someone looking to use these for just competitive games, but you can slam the immersion slider and suddenly games like Red Dead 2 or Elden Ring sound like they are actually around you, expansive, open, amazing.

I am so disappointed that my headset is having issues, it was definitely going to be my new go to for gaming audio. I will be returning it if they do not fix this by the time my return period comes to an end.

I don’t want to sound like the grumpy ole fart who leaves reviews that doesn’t help anyone so I will be as honest as possible when reviewing this microphone in hopes that this messages spreads and reach more people.

Let me start off by saying I play a lot of FPS on PC anywhere from escape from Tarkov, apex legends, COD, and soon battlefield 2042. I can clock roughly 4-5 hours a day after work so I’m mostly on. I purchased this headphones the beginning of December 2020.

First impressions:Loved the headset. Audio wasn’t spectacular but It still got the job done with hearing footsteps in game and being in the moment. The chat/game mix is one of the easiest I have ever dealt with and I’ve had A50’s (gen 3) as well.

The replaceable batteries are really good as well. I never had to worry about my wireless headset dying which is really good if you game a lot or forget to charge one of the batteries. The software interface wasn’t bad, I had small issues with the display when enabling the discord features on the station.

8 MONTHS LATER “Premium Headset”:Please note the headliner for this section still pisses me off because for a $330 headset I would expect it to last a year maybe more? The base where it connects to the ear pieces are cheaply made, the ONE point of contact (which i wished I paid attention to before) causes this headset is easily degrade in durability.

Let me note, I have never been rough with this headset. It sits on a stand in my gaming room. The only time it is in use is if I’m playing the game. So for the headset to simply fall apart after 8 months in the way it did, is unacceptable for $330 headphones.

When trying to bring this issue to the manufacturers attention, as you can see, they simply gave me a generic answer. The crazy THING is I even OFFERED TO PAY for just the headset. They denied my request which led me to believe they would simply prefer to have you buy the whole thing again.

I personally believe this company doesn’t stand behind their product. I’ve spoken to audio headset engineers who have also expressed this could very well be a design flaw but they will not admit that.

(That’s how far and mad I’ve become to go that far). I’ve had A50’s, A40’s, Turtle Beaches, and have never been more upset. Furthermore, if you look at their other models, I believe I saw a artic 7 In Best Buy, sams design but different frame used for the connection where the ear pieces meet.

They look more stable and secure than its expensive counterpart. Suggestion: If you do buy an artic headset, specifically these ones, get it from Best Buy and get there 2 year warranty so WHEN this happens to you, you can return it for another one because the company will not help you what-so-ever.

I have been a long time customer of SteelSeries peripherals. I have owned many different models of there mouse and keyboards, mousepads, and even the old racing wheel they used to sell. I was looking into buying a headset around the time that these came out and was really excited to check them out.

I originally wanted the wireless version or the ones that comes with the gamedac, but they were constantly out of stock so i settled on these instead. For the price you pay though, they really are not worth it.

First the aluminum band sockets into a plastic housing which has been known for a long time to break convienently right after the warranty period ends, the audio quality really isnt that great for the amount that you pay.

The only positive that I can give this thing is that the mic is great, almost too good as it picks up basically everything around you. If you are like me and tend to buy really clicky and loud mechanical keyboards, I would definitely think about getting something else as your teammates will hear your every keystoke in game.

I am really kind of disappointed in this headset. I recently just picked up a pair of Corsair HS70 pros, they are wireless, far cheaper, and the overall sound and build quality are much better if you are in the market I would look into alternatives.

Astro is also another you may want to consider before these.

Absolutely a phenomenal headset! As a gamer I need a headset that delivers quality sound and Steelseries did not disappoint! The sound quality is top tier – crystal clear sound and even clearer when hearing footsteps in game! I love that this headset allows you to customize the sound to your own preferences! You can adjust the chat volumn on the headset itself which comes in handy! I like the retractable mic making the headset look very clean when not in use.

To mute the mic it’s easy with just a button click. Set up is extremely easy with just hooking up the receiver to your device and turning on the headset. Charging the headset takes no time at all and holds a charge all through extended game play! The headset is extremely comfortable and light on your head compared to other headsets.

The earmuffs are very comfortable as well. I also like that they come with multiple different cords making the headset universal on multiple device/gaming device. Highly Recommend these!.
