20 Best Gaming Desktop Under 700 (2023 Updated)

The PC came with an i7 11700F, 16g of 3200 DDR4 Ram, 3060 TI gpu, and a 1 tb nvme SSD. The computer performs well out of the box, with enough GPU horsepower to run any modern game well. GPUs continue to be overpriced due to shortages, but the markup was limited in this system, even when not on sale.

However, be advised that the custom OEM case and motherboard severely limit the ability to upgrade this rig. The powersupply is a generic OEM build putting out 500w, which is quite low for a system using a 3060TI.

As the motherboard is ATX 12vo standard, don’t expect to find any way to upgrade the powersupply either, as the 12vo power supply market essentially doesn’t exist yet. So swapping in a more powerful card is not going to be an option here.

Likewise, the cpu is cooled by a stock cpu fan. The case is too narrow to mount even a basic coolermaster 212 performance air cooler, so again, upgrade options to cooling are almost non-existent. The small case also presents a cooling challenge when under load, and this machine can rev the fans to noticeable noise levels quite often, so if you are looking for a quiet machine, keep looking.

There are two additional drive bays, but installing extra storage requires removing the GPU to access the SATA ports on the motherboard. The only easy upgrade is replacing the stock OEM ram with performance RAM.

With all that said, I emphasize that the PC itself in its base form is powerful and able to handle any modern game, without requiring any upgrades. It’s ability to remain that way long-term through upgrades is highly limited by the use of OEM restricted parts and a narrow case, which may give enthusiasts pause.

System stability is good, no crashes, stuttering, blank screens, or anything of the sort. There was also minimal bloatware on the machine, just requiring a quick and painless uninstall of McAfee.

Overall I am very happy with it. First of all, the cooling out of the box wasn’t great. The pc comes with an app called Predator Sense. You can use it to control the fans (auto, gaming, manual), the lights, and it also gives a CPU and GPU temperature reading – The problem is, that the CPU temperature reading, I am quite certain, was reading lower than the actual temperature.

I literallly tried 4 or 5 of the top temperature monitoring freeware, and they all gave me readings that were significantly hotter than the Acer Predator Sense program had shown – It was showing idle around 35C, and under heady loads while rendering, and gaming, it would top out at 55C – pff, I wish.

The 3rd party apps all showed about 55c idle, and up to 95c on some cores, when playing Cyberpunk! I was able to get these numbers down though. Also, I think both the Predator Sense, and 3rd party readings were both wrong.

Perhaps I have a misplaced, or faulty sensor. Another problem. My fans, when put on “auto” mode, would never throttle up under heavy loads, they just stayed at under 1000 rpm, nearly silent, even when I booted up a game.

That, I assume, is because it is going off of the faulty readings being fed to it by the Predator Sense app. If it was showing max temps 55c, its no wonder my fans wouldn’t kick in. I was disappointed up to this point.

But the program MSI Afterburner actually solved a lot of problems. Afterburner allows you to set a fan curve however you like. And so I set it very aggressively, hitting 80% fan power by 60 degrees, and by 75 dergrees, I have the fans throttle to 100%.

Having the fan rise with the temps, via afterburner, helped with the temperatures a lot. I know the glass looks cool, but the metal side plate is vented, and I believe knocks off a few more degrees. And then finally, the thing that made a big difference, was unscrewing the case fan to the rear of the tower, carefully flipping it over, without detaching, or damaging any of the wires soldered to it, and screwing it back in the same holes, same spot.

Just flipped. Gently. So instead of venting hot air out of the case, it now draws cool air in. I left the CPU fan, and the front case fan alone. Now, in my mind, cool air is drawn in through the back, fed to the CPU fan, cooling it with cooler air, and then the front case fan vents that now hot air out the front.

I’m not sure if that’s actually what’s happening, but makes sense on paper, and my temperatures now, on the third party apps is reading 35 degrees on idle! 55-70 degrees playing CyberPunk on high settings, vsynced to 60fps, though it barely htis 70 with the CPU turboboost off and Raytracing settings turned on.

Why go higher than 60 fps outside of competetive games? It just wastes resources and shortens CPU life quicker. All this with OBS on and recording, as a test for streaming and gaming simultaneously, which takes up about the same resources as recording and gaming.

My pc is next to a cool Canadian window, and I like it cool in my room, keep in mind. All that said, my heating worries have been resolved! 😀 Now this PC performs just as you’d expect an i7-11 and RTX3060ti to perform.

The GPU is only slightly bottlenecked, so its a great pairing. Hardly any bloatware. You know the routine, uninstall Norton and everything else you don’t need. There wasn’t much though. PC starts up, to the desktop, ready to go in about 15 seconds.

Is it loud? Well, I’m used to hearing an R7 being cooled in a laptop, so for me this isn’t too loud lol. The fan sound is actually pretty low frequency, and a pretty tolerable, deep whitenoise, as opposed to the high pitched whirring fans in my ASUS laptop.

Recorded music in Reaper. Latency was so minimal, which is nice. No more syncing audio in video recordings. Set my audio buffer to 256, at 48khz with about 6 miliseconds of latency, which a latency offset can easily take care of.

The case is relatively small, and compact, and lighter than I thought. There is a carrying handle. I’m not a hardware guy, at all, so do what I did, at your own risk. Also, on the MSI program it also lets you over/underclock.

I didn’t touch that sinse the 10700f, I do not believe is designed for undervolting, and I didn’t have to resort to this anyway. But be warned – do not overclock it because I heard that this instantly voids the warranty.

Another thing I did, in power plan options, I set the maximum processor state to 99% rather than 100%. I am told that only when the CPU hits 100%, does Intel Turbo Boost kick in. And that apparently generates lots of heat.

I haven’t noticed any significant loss in processing power so far, and I think this also contributed to my new, low temps. It’s hard to say how much each step played a role in reducing the temps, if at all.

I was ready to take this thing back though. Glad I tinkered around a bit. I think just “breaking in” the system a bit has also helped stabilize things since day 1. GPU temp rarely goes above 65. If curious, Predator Sense now shows CPU temp at 45 while playing CyberPunk – so that’s definitely still wrong.

If your temps seem out of whack, high or low, check out a few other programs like MSI Afterburner, Core Temp, and Speccy to get different readings. Careful opening these apps at the same time. It can cause conflicts that can crash your pc.

3060ti works great. 8gb seemed low for a 30 series, but as I understand, it has excellent bandwidth that makes up for this. Coming from a 1650, I am very pleased with it. This whole system cost $2300 CAD, which seems like a good deal, relative to other prebuilts.

Video editing in Resolve, using fusion effects, heavy colour grading, I edited a 1hr long video. A few moments here and there, it froze up for 2 or 3 seconds, late into the project when the project memory was high.

Just to give you an idea where the limits are. Overall, an extremely pleasing video editing experience, especially coming from my r7/1650 combo that would crash every 30 minutes with the preview quality turned way down and live save off.

Now I can edit with full quality previews, instant playback, and with effects on, nearly instant playback. If you use Resolve proper and turn off the colour grading and fusion effects previews till you render, you’re golden.

Video editing, at a certain point, will best any system. Haven’t tried Premier yet. I gotta say, I wasn’t stoked on paying over 2 grand for something that had fan software issues, a self sabotaging fan setup, and a possible faulty temp sensors.

But now that the temps are down I forgot all about that. Considering the GPU shortage, this is good purchase if you need a GPU upgrade now. Was wary of the only 4 reviews, but they turned out to be accurate.

When I was shopping for a PC I was spooked by reviews on almost every single PC I checked out online complaining about high temperatures or poor cooling. This is not only on Bestbuy but literally every online retailer.

Even the PCs with liquid cooling have the same complaints. So before I bought this computer I got a quote on adding additional fan/cooling system if needed. Not a bad expense if I have to do that in the furure.

But I doubt I will. Also, I got a 3 year warranty with this PC so if the thing frys in its original build condition I’ll be eligible for a replacement anyways since I have the protection. I don’t think that will happen though.

So I have no concerns. I bought a nice 27″ ASUS monitor along with this PC and the peformance has been epic. Computer is super fast, running ULTRA settings on all games and the graphics look beautiful.

I wasnt sure if I needed such a fancy monitor but holy crap I’m definitely keeping it. Using this exclusively as a gaming PC and so far I am super happy with the purchase. I also bought the unit as an Open-Box which saved me hundreds of dollars and considering I have a warranty it’s a win-win and no risk.

We recently purchased two of these systems at work and I got the fun job of setting them up. I work with a lot of not good computers so getting to work with these was a treat. It was easy to unpack with plenty of packing material to make sure it stays safe in shipping.

The first set of accessories you pull out of the box has some very clear instructions with mostly pictures showing you how to take the shipping foam out and get you started. In addition to the printed instructions there is a sticker covering up most of the rear ports just leaving the GPU with the HDMI port open (the 3 other display ports have nice covers) just to make sure you plug into the GPU and not any motherboard display out ports.

Once we got plugged into one of the DisplayPorts and powered up the system started up with no issues at all. This system seems to have two large dust filters covering all of the intake fans a personal must have of mine.

I am not the biggest fan of RGB lighting but I must say the RGB here is done tastefully and I was impressed. At this price range the specs are fairly expensive you are probably paying a small premium for being prebuilt but in this case I would say any premium is probably justified for all of the small quality of life advances you get here.

They even got a proper PSU gold rated. The fans were nearly silent when just running updates and installing programs. The keyboard and mouse were even decent. I would say they both look impressive and mouse even feels fine but the keypresses on the keyboard do not feel good but not bad.

Very minimal / basically no boat was found just as good as a clean install of windows to me. The choice of a good i7 12th gen and a 30 series GPU means you can keep this system running for a long time.

This system includes a 500GB m. 2 ssd which I think should be the minimum for any serious PC and helps keep this system running better in the long tern even as is.

People usually buy prebuilds to either save themselves the hassle of assembling their own or because they lack the knowledge on how to do it and don’t want to ruin thousands of dollars worth of parts.

Therefor, professionals are paid to do it when ordering prebuilts. You would expect them to do an outstanding job but after having extreme problems with the CPU overheating under low load, I knew I had to do something.

The pc would often shut down mid game in League of Legends which is definitely one of the easier games to run out there. The temps would be around 99C throughout the whole match and the pc would run close to 70C under minimal load.

I ordered an AIO thinking the stock cooler that comes with the pc was the problem but after removing the old cooler, I found a piece of paper in the thermal paste creating a barrier between the CPU and cooler.

This is absolutely outrageous, almost seems like it was purposefully done. Their was thermal paste on both sides of the paper which means to me that someone had to apply thermal paste to both surfaces which is very unusual and suspicious.

I swapped out that cooler anyway because I had ordered the AIO and the temps went from 99/100C while playing league of legends to 35C. I do believe the stock cooler would have done a good job if it was not for the piece of paper isolating the CPU from the cooler but I will not be testing it.

I strongly recommend anyone stay away from these prebuilds, their are many stories of how these pc’s are cheaply assembled. I would have put in a picture of the piece of paper in question but I don’t think attaching images is possible.

Will start review form the beginning, The order placement was fine, Credit Card was charged, and system was packed and shipped within 2 days of ordering. They shipped the system in retail packaging and via UPS next day with full security protocols.

Recipients signature only. They attempted to deliver by a secured truck. Was not home so package was not left. After about 2 hours of going back and forth with UPS and Newegg over these security protocols.

I finally got them to leave the thing at my local UPS distribution center so I could pick it up. Pick up was uneventful and trouble free. After unboxing and inspection, no damage or issues where found.

Machine started up and setup trouble free. Windows 11 was a very clean install with not bloatware of any kind. My machine came with a Gigabit B560 DS3H AC Ver1. 0 motherboard. (This is an older and now discontinued Board).

The Ram is two 8Gb ADATA XPG Silver gaming modules with unknown specs. The graphics card is an EVGA RTX 2060 SC short 3 slot thick single fan unit. The power supply is an EVGA 600-watt gold. The case fans are basic with RGB LED rings, and the CPU fan is just a stock intel cooler.

The case is a basic mid tower with a glass side panel and a solid color glass front with no vents. The two forward RGB case fans are mounted sideways against a simple vent in the back panel of the case.

The case barely has adequate ventilation. The motherboard has no instructions. Cyberpower offers no service or support, but rather passes that onto the individual manufactures of its components. The included keyboard and mouse where generic gamming in-house brand with only RGB on the mouse base and just plain backlighting on the keyboard.

In case cable management was very good, everything was neatly wrapped up and routed. Have already upgraded the SSD, mouse, and keyboard. Planning to fully upgrade motherboard, ram, cooling, and case.

The specs state that this machine was able to do 7. 1 surround. The actual case is 7. 1 virtual surround as the sound ports are just line in, speaker, microphone, and headphones. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have no range without the two paddle antennas, and low range with them installed.

(X-Box One Controller barely connects right next to machine. ) A valuation of this systems parts matches is price based on current pricing. If things where normal then this would be a sub 800. 00 entry level gaming pc.

My final verdict is this machine will play everything I intend to play without issue and is as a whole a good value for the money. That being said, the machine definitely needs upgrading in order to be perfect.

This is my 1st gaming PC. Opted for this for several reasons: 1. Amount of RAM 2. CPU 3. Designed to be a gaming computer As to the machine, it boots up very quickly. Has lots of USB connections. The bulk of those connections are in the back so extensions to the USB cables are most likely required.

The machine is quite HEAVY in terms of actual weight. While the curved top of the machine has a good design element, I find I miss the flat surface of my old computer as I would place my Orbit router on it.

I appreciate that the total amount of disk space if 4TB but wish it was just a single hard drive. One of the quirks I will adjust to. Windows 11 Home Version — well the changes and settings are a lot more challenging than I had expected–particularly with the browsers and the colors used by many website.

OK, this is not about the computer but it is part of the package so it matters to me. Small thing, the photo of the computer shows the lighted area to be a yellow/gold color–mine is more a light blue.

Have yet to search to see if that color can be altered–more for aesthetics than any real problem. The machine & Windows 11 have so many more settings that require adjusting to but that (hopefully) will come over time and with more experience with both.

I read reviews posted and many complained that the AMD Ryzen chip was 5900 and not the particular version that may have been advertised. I hope that my acceptance of this CPU does not come back to haunt me.

My upgrade was driven by the fact that I recently started playing Xbox games along with the fact that Intel 7 chip was not compatible with Windows 11. Given Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 in 2025, I figured it was best to make the purchase now.

I opted to purchase this machine while it was on sale. I understand that supply chain issues, the lack of chips that are available, and inflation caused the pricing of computers to increase significantly.

Sadly, I think DELL keeps their prices inflated (well before the current supply chaing issues, lack of chips and inflation). Overall, I am satisfied.

Let’s start with the quality of the build. As expected this is a prebuilt computer so I was expecting some corners cut where they could. Taking the PC out of the box was a fairly cool experience. The PC is a big boy and a heavy one at that.

It takes up quite a bit of desk space. This PC is very easy to operate and is ready to go straight out out of the box. A true plug and play. The outer shell is all plastic. The front IO is a pleasing one and worked great.

On the inside is where it gets questionable. This version is a liquid cooled version and in my opinion it is the only acceptable one to get. Opening the case is fairly straightforward. Once opened you have this “cage”.

This “cage” contains the 1000W power supply. It also sits on top of the GPU which does not help thermals. I really did not like this at all and knew this going into the purchase. The side “vents” on this PC are just for show and are very flimsy.

They are also glued on to a metal chassis underneath. They have no use for airflow in this build. Onto the airflow and thermals now. This build you only get two fans. One is mounted at the top and the other is on the front.

Air comes in the front out the top. The front has little to no space for air to come in. Sitting idle and light web browsing the Ryzen 5900 hovered around the high 50’s and low 60’s for me. Not favorable at all.

The GPU was around the same however, Radeon 6000 series GPUs have an auto fan stop feature. They only kick on after they hit a certain temp. This can be disabled through AMD Adrenaline Software. However I did not know this until after I did a case swap.

Once I started gaming I will use Witcher Wild Hunt for example, temps were high 80’s to the low 90’s for both the GPU and CPU. Kinda had me worried for the long term even though these temps are still somewhat in the operating zone for temps albeit on the high side.

There is a video on YouTube where a person mods the case and adds a noctua fan. He advised temps did decrease a little bit. Let’s talk specs and gaming performance which is what I bought this computer for.

What you get with this build is a 12 core 5900 and it is a beast. You also get a 5800XT which is also a monster. Gaming at 4k all my games I played had a stable 60plus FPS with most being more than that.

Example being GTAV. During gameplay with max settings frame rates were 80-120. Drop the resolution down and you begin to get competitive frame rates. Rocket League always had 240fps and the same can be said for first person shooters.

I have two monitors depending on what game I play. One being 1080p 240hz the other being 4k 144hz. Other components were 32GB Kingston RAM 3444. 2TB unknown brand m. 2 ssd and a 2TB Seagate HDD. Those are the notable components.

You also get the 1000W PSU listed above. The motherboard did come with heat sinks for ones that were curious. Overall this computer is a beast that in my opinion is hurt by poor cooling performance. This was a major concern of mine in the long run.

I got this computer on sale so I had no issues with spending more and doing a case swap. I ended up going with the Corsair 4000D Airflow case with a 360 Rad and 3 more 120 fans mounted in the back and 2 up top.

My temps now idle and browsing are both in the low 30’s this is with auto stop feature on the GPU turned off. Gaming I now see temps anywhere from the low 50’s to 60’s with occasional spikes in the to about 70.

Phenomenal cooling performance. To close, this prebuilt is a beast and will run any game you throw at it like a boss. I do not recommend this product to anyone else though due to the questionable quality of the build and bad thermals.

Also prices for the 6000 series have come down so In the end it is worth building your own which is basically what I did in the end. If you however have to get a prebuilt I would look elsewhere even if this hits a sale again.

Do your research. I’m taking a star off for the questionable quality of the build and another star off for the bad thermal performance. All components worked splendidly so no more stars deducted. That is all I have and I hope this review helps potential buyers.

P. S. DO NOT BUY A AIRCOOLED VERSION OF THIS PC.

For the price (considering GPU’s themselves are stupid high right now) it is a decent prebuilt. Some concern is that the side vents are nonfunctional and apparently just for looks. This isn’t necessarily surprising all things considered, with it being Alienware.

Otherwise, gaming is fine and runs relatively smoothly. Both my brother and I got one, and while I haven’t been able to game as much as him due to adult responsibilities, he stated he was pretty pleased (outside of seeing remarks that apparently the water cooling system will probably crap itself at the 1 year mark, but we will see).

I waited until I got my refund before writing this. While the PC was in transit to me being shipped, I noticed a fair amount of reviews with these Ibuypower systems having bad power supplies but brushed them off.

The first few days with the PC it ran and performed great, especially the temps due to the 240mm AIO cpu cooler. Also, xmp was enabled out of the box. At first, the only real complaints I would’ve had would be the mouse and keyboard that comes with it, specifically the keyboard because boy it’s a cheapo.

However, on merely the 5th day of having it, I was watching a youtube video when the PC just randomly shut off, and no matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to power back on. I immediately knew what happened, the power supply died, just like all those other reviewers had happen to them.

The problem is that Ibuypower uses garbage-tier quality power supplies in their PC’s. After trying some troubleshooting methods just incase it was something else ( it wasn’t ), I requested an RMA from Newegg, and thankfully it came through quickly and I was able to drop it off at my local UPS store and it shipped back for a return the very next morning.

Do not buy this PC, the chance for it to die out on you is just too high. Go with another brand of prebuilts, not Ibuypower. On one hand I was kinda glad it happened when it did, because I was still able to get a refund.

However on the other hand, I was frustrated that a nearly $1600 PC can’t even last a week of medium-use before dying out, which is pretty hilarious when you think about it. It really shows the quality of Ibuypower computers.

I’ve been looking at building a computer, but was having trouble deciding all the pieces that I would want. This gave me a solid starting platform that’s easily upgradeable. It has the LG1700 MB so I’ll be upgrading the CPU soon.

Already replaced the 8GB RAM with 2x 16GB. Also already added an SSD PCIe, and the case has room for more SSD or HDD if needed. The case is nice looking and I’ll be able to easily mount additional fans or a cooling loop no problem.

It’s nifty, since I got a functional gaming PC that I’m upgrading over time while I’m setting the replaced parts aside to build a PC for my wife. Aside from waiting for sales, building a similar PC was as expensive, if not more expensive than getting this.

Plenty of I/O on the case for me. The video card is just ok, but again, I’ll be upgrading at some point.

This is my first gaming PC after playing on console since I was around 5 years old. I wanted to find a beginners friendly PC that was able to run battle royales smoothly. After help from Best Buy staff, they eventually recommended this PC.

I ordered it and I was able to pick it up the next day! Out of the box, it takes about 10 minutes before you have it running and downloading games. The performance is great! It is very smooth, fast, and does not lag.

I have mainly played Apex, Fortnite and Halo Infinite and have not had issues while gaming. The one thing to watch out for- some games will automatically ask you to install “EasyAntiCheat” with your game downloading.

Don’t! EasyAntiCheat is not compatible with Windows 11, which will cause your game to crash anytime you try to load it. You will have to uninstall the EasyAntiCheat software. Other than that, I highly recommend this PC for gamers, especially if you are a beginner!.

The PC itself out the box was pretty good. The set up and installing was very easy anyone can really do it with no problems. Only problems I found in the PC was with the fans. I had to flip them for better air flow but the fans themselves felt pretty cheap.

So I would recommend buying fans to replace the original. With the cooling I would recommend upgrading the CPU cooler, it can get a little hot to fast sometimes. Also would recommend upgrading SSD but 500GB is alright but it would be better to have more.

As for Cable Management, when you open the back part of the PC case the cables seem very clustered. As if someone just didn’t want to put in the time to organize cables but it isn’t that hard to fix yourself to make things a little more organized.

But as for performance, with games like Warzone and open world games it runs pretty smooth. A little fps drops here and there but doesn’t happen to often but you can get pretty good gameplay out of any game you want to play.

I would recommend this PC but to those who are willing to pay a little extra for upgrades such as fans, coolers, etc. Overall this PC is actually pretty good for what it is and would recommend it, but again to those who are willing to pay extra for upgrades.

TL;DR Version – Great Computer held back by motherboard choice. Still needs some TLC to fix software errors. If you love to tinker, this is a great choice. If you want pain-free gaming though, you may want to look elsewhere.

From a specification standpoint, this is one of the best pre-built gaming desktops you can purchase. 12th Gen i7 is superb when combined with the included AIO water cooler. 32GB of DDR5 RAM is blazing fast and the RTX 3070ti is more than adequate to max out games up to 1440p with ease and even handle some 4k gaming.

In execution, this desktop does runs into issues. The MSI motherboard is adequate, but presents issues with the default configuration. In BIOS, I disabled XMP to reduce DDR5 BSOD occurrences. The CPU already supports DDR5 memory so disabling XMP doesn’t seem to affect performance.

MSI BIOS is also a bit behind compared to its competitors. Lastly, Windows 11 is still working out bugs with stopcheck errors and other things that are causing crashes. There’s not much Corsair can do regarding Windows 11.

Microsoft will eventually iron their stuff out. Overall, it’s a really good gaming desktop that is held back from greatness because of configuration choices that encourages BSODs, crashes, and other issues.

I ordered this PC after I initially had purchased another that immediately was overheating. I was, understandably, cautious with my excitement for this PC. This PC comes with a total of 6 fans, which immediately made my anxiety due to the previous purchase ease.

It is a beautiful rig, the options available for customizing the RGB lights are fabulous, you have plenty to select from. I should note, I had done my research very thoroughly for months prior to making this purchase since it was very much an investment.

I decided that with the price/availability of somewhat ‘future-proof’ GPUs would make a pre-build PC the better move. This build will be good for a while and give me some time before I should have to look at upgrading.

To me, that was a big plus. Add on that I didn’t have to build it myself (would be a first time so scary haha), I felt really confident with the price point vs quality aspect of this purchase. Now I did have some initial issues with my D drive not wanting to recognize, I was able to get it quickly fixed via my Totaltech membership benefits (which I also recommend but that’s another story).

Only reason I went with 4 (would be 4. 5 if it would let me) was due to this. All in all, this is a solid rig if you are looking for a more future proof investment. Corsair did a wonderful job with cord management and the build itself is very nice to look at.

I would recommend this PC for purchase.

My son bought this last December, worked fine for a few days and started crashing in game and on desktop sitting idle. A list of things i did was unplug everything, re seat everything, plug back in. fresh install of windows multiple times.

Bios update, GPU bios update, fresh install of current drivers, chipset drivers. Ran memtest, Prime went as far as installing 2 new sticks of Ram. Adjusted multiple setting in windows and bios to no avail.

Runs fine for a day or two and crashes again. I have built 7 PC’s from scratch and have never experienced the issues this PC has dealt us. I have come to the conclusion that it is possibly a bad CPU or MB.

Contacted Corsair and just get the run around with them wanting you to test this, test that, do this do that. Corsair is absolutely no help once so ever! Pretty sad that they sell defective prebuilt units to consumers that may or may not know much about PC’s.

We tried so many things to get the PC to run correctly my son is so frustrated he won’t even use it anymore. Its only 6 months old as well. This thing has only 1 game installed on it after multiple fresh installs of Windows and still does not run without crashing.

Between work and such we don’t have time to fiddle around trying to take screenshots of blue screens and test this and that for Corsair when they should just send an RMA so they can figure it out. It shouldn’t be left to the consumer.

At the very least send a tech out. People who purchase a prebuilt system may not be computer savvy and should be able to enjoy their purchase unless something was user error. It’s to bad as i like Corsair products but has me second guessing ever purchasing a Corsair product ever again.

HP’s OMEN 40L Desktop brings you top level performance all in a stunning mid-tower case which is perfect for all of your gaming needs. While there are some options of customization, the pre-built options seem to be fairly well balanced which means you’ll get a good overall value.

My OMEN arrived well packaged with just the right amount of support to ensure that it would survive the delivery. The interior cardboard support did a surprisingly good job of keeping the PC nice and snug.

After removing the PC from the box, I verified the internal hardware to ensure no cables came loose upon transport which passed in my book. The first thing I noticed was just how beautiful this case is and how thoughtfully it was engineered.

It features a glass side panel (which is fairly common) to display the internal components, and plenty of ventilation both along the front panel and the top of the case. It also was designed with easy access to internal components (toolless access) on the front glass, left glass, and right rear panel.

Other things that made quite an impression on me, the GPU bracket is no joke with this case; while it’s made of plastic, its large enough to accommodate even the largest GPUs on the market. It provides excellent stability for the RTX 3070, only peculiar thing is that it uses a proprietary adapter to connect to the 2x 6+2 pin power supply cables which isn’t a big deal.

The OMEN’s CPU AIO (all-in-one cooler) looks amazing as it looks bold against the contrast of the black case. I was also happy with other components utilized in the build, such as the HyperX 2×8 GB DDR 4 (heat sinks and setup with dual channel to provide optimal performance), a terabyte NVMe M.

2 Western Digital SDD for storage, and of course AMD Ryzen 7 5800x processor (not visible, however verified with cpu-z). Other notable components are the Cooler Master Power Supply along with Cooler Master fans, all excellent choice components which allows this PC to run flawlessly.

The default package does come preinstalled with Windows 11 Home (Professional would be a better), but works either way. Where, I found myself a bit disappointed was with the front panel IO. It’s great that it comes with 4 USB ports, but it did not have any USB-C ports which is fairly common with PCs at this level.

Additionally, while the OMEN AIO cooler looks fantastic, it tends to be louder than I would expect, especially when not underload, however it does a decent job of keeping the CPU cool when it is underload.

Gaming on the OMEN 40L has been fantastic, this PC is well optimized and it performs very well for its cost/value. I ran a quick synthetic benchmark test with UserBenchMark – and HP built a great PC: results indicating performance overall is 81st percental, meaning out of 100 PC’s built similarly, only 19 PC’s out performed this particular model.

I’m able game with this PC paired with a 34inch wide monitor (3440 x 1440 resolution) and still achieve an average frame rate of 165 – 280 FPS depending on the title. Performance would likely improve if just gaming at 1080P and I’m sure lower gaming in 4k, but stable and consistent.

This rig is perfect for gaming, and while it may not be using the very latest (most high-end components), it’s an excellent value as it performs well and the design of this PC affords you the ability to easily make upgrades in the future.

If you’re looking for a great gaming no fuss PC, then this would make a great addition or upgrade!.

Quality built computer with clean layout. Downsides include the HP factory BIOS with limited user settings. The factory shipping box is thin and inadequate for such an expensive machine. New box arrived torn up badly, but machine was OK.

No manuals are included with the computer and the online documents are vague and frustrating. The online motherboard spec sheet gives the wrong processor socket LGA1200 for the 17-1200K Intel Core. It should correctly say LGA1700 socket.

I contacted online service support about the error and they denied the error stating this was correct. Online support was a joke connecting to a boiler room with scripted responses. HP needs to copy Dell and have a complete comprehensive instruction manual with detailed photos, connections, and upgrade instructions.

The online links are next to useless. HP has a Youtube Omen 45L video showing removing and replacing parts but this does not meet the needs of a comprehensive manual. Vague blowout diagrams in multiple languages given in product links doesn’t cut it.

I had originally purchased this machine and was really pleased with how it looked and performed. However, within the hour the computer went into some kind of sleep mode and would not reopen. Had to do a reboot and when it came back up I had an error message stating that there was something wrong with the CPU fan.

Took it back to best buy to look at it. They stated it had to do with the mother board so they would exchange the computer but I had to go to a different location. Sure,no problem. Go to the other location, pick up the computer waiting for me and take it home.

Within 20 min same issues happens. Reboot again and same error message about the CPU fan. Called the store, told me to go to another location to pick up a new one to swap this one out. Did so the next day.

Get home set the machine back up and within one hour same issue again. Please note that never at any point was i playing games or had changed the configurations of the computer. I would only get as far as completing the setup of the device which you have to.

Its a shame really, the machine looks great and is super quiet. Unfortunately after having the same issue happen with the same model from three different locations tells me there is something wrong with this machine.

Maybe it was just the production batch that was made and sent out to best buy that have a defect. I will wait another month and hopefully they will have a new batch in as I really would like to have this machine for my personal use.

Der Rechner hat vorne sowie an der linken Seite Glasscheiben durch die man sehen kann weswegen die RGB Beleuchtung an der Decke des Gehäuses, am RAM Arbeitsspeicher und an der Prozessorkühlung wirklich sehr schick aussieht und somit meine Gaming Setup Ansprüche definitiv erfüllt haben.

Vorallem da sich ALLE RGB´s mit den beigefügten Treibern nochmal bearbeiten lassen. Der Omen Rechner hat durch seine 16 RAM und seinem 8 Kern AMD Prozessor eine unglaubliche Rechenleistung weswegen ich schon oft 2 Programme gleichzeitig laufen lassen konnte ohne gegen irgendein Problem zu stoßen.

Ebenfalls sollte man erwähnen das der Prozessor durch eine spezielle Flüssigkeit gekühlt wird die nochmal besser als herkömmliche Lüfter kühlen und somit der Prozessor schön kühl halten. Der Arbeitsspeicher lässt sich durch die 2 weitere Slots am Mainboard erweitern falls einem die 16 GB RAM nicht reichen sollten (glaubt mir 16 GB RAM reichen zum zocken völlig!).

Es wurde an alles gedacht im Gehäuse. Es wird einem genug Platz gegeben um nachzurüsten wie z. B. eine zweite Grafikkarte!. Da man 2 SSD Festplattenspeicher hat läuft er Natürlich flüssig. Bis jetzt hat noch kein Programm schlapp gemacht.

Durch die integrierte Treibersoftware kann man mit dem “TURBO Modus” nochmal alles aus seinem Rechner rausholen. Schade finde ich es jedoch das hier keine Maus und Tastatur mitgeliefert werden was mich sehr verwirrt hat da ich weiß das andere OMEN Modelle diese schon mitliefern.

Ebenfalls zu bemängeln ist dass das Mainboard von HP ist. Das Mainboard ist leistungsstark, jedoch hätte man für den Preis ein MSI Mainboard erwarten können und kein Firmeneigenes. Alles in allem ein Solider PC der es Wert ist ein wenig Tiefer in die Brieftasche zu gehen.

Diese Ausrüstung wird für 5 Jahre wenn nicht sogar länger für meine Gaming Bedürfnisse reichen.

I am pleased with my recent order of this pre-built desktop. I ordered through Google Shopping and received it at a significant discount of $660 and a total of $700 after taxes and variable cash back options.

It arrived in about a week all the way from Ontario, CA through UPS. Be prepared that the box is relatively large as the tower is protected by massive styrofoam holders, a nice solid drawstring cover, and an inflatable packaging inside the tower to protect the components.

Setup itself took about 5-10 minutes. I noticed a piece of paper saying to use the “Quick Start Guide” before powering on the device, but no such thing existed with all the other paperwork. I just googled “Skytech quick start guide” and found a simple webpage with various instructions to check components before turning it on.

Very easy and “newbie” friendly in case this is your first gaming PC. The tempered glass easily swings open and close to look at components and monitor the machine. The RGB lighting has various options for the fans which is nice and the keyboard/mouse also light up.

However, the keyboard and mouse are wired only and as such is kind of awkward to use if your tower is not directly beside you and stretches away. Minor issues as they work flawlessly otherwise (but the small backspace button is a bit annoying to get used to) Inside, I had an ASUS GeForce GTX 1660 6gb graphics card, TeamForce 2×8 GB RAM already set to 3000 MHZ, 500GB Seagate Barrcuda SSD, ASRock motherboard, and the 4 fans (3 with RGB lighting).

The cabling was also mostly professional and relatively hidden away. The monitor has continuous fans going and on current usage of just browsing and indie games is never above 35* degrees. One small issue is I found on the back of the monitor where the motherboard ISO connects is some ports look like they are bent/cracked.

This does not affect being able to plug anything in at the moment. It looks like mostly cosmetic damage from possible shipping/handling and bumping around on the journey across the country. All in all, I am satisfied and feel I received a good value product for the price.

0b port, 1 DVI-D port, and 1 DisplayPort 1. 4, rather than 1 HDMI and 3 DisplayPorts; (2) there is no PS/2, VGA, or DVI-D connector and only 4 USB 3. 0 ports; (3) the motherboard graphics port is non-functional, because the processor does not include integrated graphics (in case the graphics card fails).

– Keyboard: (1) it does not include separate media keys, as pictured on the website, so volume control requires holding the FN key on the bottom right with the F2-F4 buttons on the top left, (2) the backlighting can only be changed to a handful of rainbow RGB settings (uniform color options are preferable), and (3) the backspace key is the same size as the letter keys (I am used to an oversized backspace key that is easier to find).

Otherwise, the keyboard seems to be of high quality, and key presses are relatively quiet. – The cooling fans that push air out the top of computer run continuously, regardless of the internal temperature, so there is always some noise.

I purchased the Skytech Archangel 3. 0 (2600X/GTX1660) from Google Express and have been completely satisfied with the process. Upon ordering, I received a confirmation with an estimated shipping date and then shipping information once the order was processed.

The item arrived via UPS Ground and required a signature, which I appreciated given the cost of the item. The computer was nicely packaged with foam around the case and another protective foam piece inside the case around the GPU and motherboard.

The quick start guide gave all the required information and within 5 minutes I had the computer up and running. There was also a helpful troubleshooting flow chart in case the computer would not power on, making it user friendly for those who are less familiar with setting up computers.

The hardware included with the computer met or exceeded those stated on the website. The Skytech RGB fans give the build a great look that rivals more expensive systems. The keyboard and mouse are not on par with higher level peripherals, but their inclusion is appreciated since they were plug and play.

The cables were managed nicely, better than I could have done working in the same space. I had no issues with drivers, BIOS, or Windows activation. It was truly plug and play, which is exactly what you want from a pre-built system.

I have not experienced their customer service first hand because I have not had a single issue to speak of, but I suspect it is top notch. I would absolutely consider Skytech Gaming in the future if I found myself in the market for another PC.

Basicamente, se traduce en que el ordenador no permite instalar ningun sistema operativo porque no hay ningun tipo de memoria donde instalarlo. No lo compreis, os vais a dejar un extra en servicio tecnico y en comprar una clave de windows 11 que podriais invertir en un ordenador con todo ello instalado por unos pocos euros mas.
