20 Best Gaming Desks Under 200 (2023 Updated)

I bought this desk for my 12 year old son who is an avid gamer. He was excited to get it and started putting it together himself yesterday. He and I then worked on it for a couple hours last night. While the quality is good, the installation directions are HORRIBLE.

They use diagrams but often combine multiple steps into one small picture. The desk is much smaller than we expected, especially for the cost. They put a lot of extra cost into the accessories, several of which we won’t use (Monitor stand – too tall, Side Speaker Holders – he uses a headset, not speakers, Charging Station – very difficult to try to put together and he likes to have his phone on the desk in front of him, Power Strip Cage – very difficult to install due to poor directions).

The accessories he did like and will use are the game/controller holder, the headset holder, and the cup holder – which he was most excited by. I gave it 3 stars (5 for quality and 1 for instructions/accessories/size).

I bought this desk for my PC gaming setup, and I also have an X-box 360 underneath my monitor stand. It’s a very good desk and well worth the $100 I paid for it (shipping included). The removable cupholder is nice, and the many accessory stands and mounts are good, except for the monitor stand, which was too high for me.

I removed the monitor stand and put it on the floor, and use it as kind of a shelf. At first I just put random small things on it (like my cell phone when I was charging it and my wallet), but I also found out that if I put it next to a wall, that it can hold a small laser printer.

Other than that, I love the rest of the accessory holders, although the cd/dvd rack is too loose to hold CD’s very securely. It seems more made for DVD’s and video game cases. The speaker racks are also useful, although I don’t use them to hold speakers as the kind I prefer are too big and heavy for them.

I also wanted to mount the headphone holder on the left side (as the headphones I use all have a single-sided cord on the left earcup) so drilled some holes on the bottom of the desk and did so. With my desktop tower under the left side of the desk and my headphones plugged into its front, my headphone’s cord doesn’t drape across my body uncomfortably.

It just goes over my left shoulder or arm. It’s also convenient to just hang it up on the hook on the left side when I’m done using them rather than reaching all the way over to the right side (where the headphone holder normally is mounted) and making a tangled mess with the cord.

Constructing the desk for me wasn’t that bad, but that’s because I read all the helpful reviews on Walmart’s site before trying it myself. Reviewers who said that power tools make things easier are right, I used a 9.

6V drill to drill some holes and to tighten screws and it made things a lot easier and faster, and allowed me to make sure everything was mounted more tightly and securely than I could’ve done with just a screw driver and my bare hands.

Also worth noting is that it’s best NOT to stand the table upright when you’re finished installing the legs like they tell you to. What I did is put it on its side on top of a blanket (because I have a hardwood floor) so I just had to screw everything in parallel to the floor rather than having to lie on the floor upside down and try to fight gravity, with screws constantly falling down onto my face.

If you’re installing the (tall) monitor stand, another tip is to install it BEFORE you put in the power strip holder rather than the other way around the way the (sometimes screwy) manual says to. All in all I feel like because I didn’t stand the table upright and try to screw everything in from the bottom, and used a powered drill, that I didn’t need a partner to help me build this desk.

No one needed to hold screws or washers for me, and no one needed to hold the desk down to keep it steady while I strained to tighten something by using both hands to slowly twist a manual screwdriver.

The reviewers who said that some of the screw holes aren’t drilled in very far and are hard to tighten screws into with just your hands and a regular screwdriver are right. I’m so glad I was able to read their helpful advice before I tried to build this desk.

this is a good desk. my only issue is the stability. It needs more support to keep the frame from twisting when bumped or when moved to rearrange the room. My son loves the cup holder, controller storage, and headphone hooks.

He also really likes the monitor being raised instead of straight out in front of him. PLUS it has plenty of space for the keyboard and mouse. I would rate 5 stars, except the stability allows the desk to be shaken very easily.

I absolutely love my desk by RESPAWN. It was very easy to assemble on my own with no help. I liked that all the materials needed to assemble the desk was provided. I would advise to make sure that you allocate at least a hour to assemble because it doers take sometime to put together.

I have to say this is a great desk for a work or gaming desk. It has a great design with plenty of space for desk accessories, a gaming keyboard and mouse, or just doing paperwork and moving around. It has a cup holder and other slots for gaming or office needs.

The shelf for the monitor can hold a large screen monitor easily. The desk is a premium quality desk made from very sturdy material so I wont have to worry about it getting damaged easily. I love this desk and I am already planning to get the matching chair by RESPAWN.

This wonderful desk, it just amazing! It was very well packed. It was very easy to assemble with all screws included also they added some extra. The instructions were just great. The desk is made of solid wood, metal and plastic.

Also love the contract of colors gray and black. The quality is great. Very sturdy. It can be used as gaming desk or even a studying station. The desk has full accessories support from cup holder to speakers to headphones.

It is pretty long over 42” inches so more space also it can support up to 200lbs. Love the high monitor shelf for a better view. The desk is very comfortable. Overall, it is a great desk, very sturdy, and easy to assemble.

Looks great! The assembly was easy, my 16 year old did it. We bought the matching chair too! The chair recliner foot rest is a bit short for my 6 foot son but he really likes the set up! Sturdy desk and good quality!.

Not a bad desk that was easy to build. Be careful when putting screws into the desk itself though. The material that protects the desk might get stuck onto the screw and crack like mine did if you put too much force onto it like mine did.

Not a design flaw, it’s just the material itself just over-lapped the post for proper coverage and I didn’t notice it.

The desk is easy to assemble and seems sturdy. But, the pre-drilled holes in the plastic covering on the surface of the desk didn’t line up with predrilled holes in the wood of the desk. When I tried to line the holes up properly, the plastic tore.

It’s an inexpensive desk so I wasn’t expecting high quality but it would have been nice to use the desk for a while before something broke!.

The desk was easy enough to assemble, took me about an hour to do by myself. Made in China, which was expected, but no bad smells or anything from the material. Desk has a nice compact design for smaller spaces.

The only purpose of this is for my gaming computer. I would get something slightly larger if you are looking for a work surface as there isn’t much extra room after you get a controller, headset, and maybe microphone that you may plan to leave on the desk.

I don’t really use the accessory hooks for much as they have a thin bar that smashes the foam on my headset, so I leave the set on the surface instead. Drink holder is a great add on to help avoid spills and you can install it on either side.

It probably wouldn’t be good if you want to get 2 monitors or more on stands on there, the shelf isn’t big enough for it. Surface is rough, which I like to help keep things from sliding too easy, my mouse seems to track nice on it, but I could see how some would prefer a mousepad for better accuracy.

Dark surface shows dust easy, will need a quick wipe down every week or so to keep it looking great. Overall I’m pleased with it as it fits my needs of a space saving design for my minimalist gaming setup.

After researching a number of gaming desks for our kids, we decided to settle on this one based on the good reviews. This desk was the perfect size for my kid’s small bedrooms. It has plenty of space for folks who prefer a keyboard and mouse, plus extra room on the side of the monitor for speakers and other small things.

The only suggestion I have is to make sure the gaming chair you have fits underneath it since this desk can’t be raised and lowered.

If you don’t need a huge amount of desk space then this is great for you! I have my laptop and monitor on the riser, plus mouse, keyboard, and mic on the actual desk part. I still have plenty of room to move stuff around as well.

I really love this desk and I’m glad I ended up buying it. I stream and use it for work and casual gaming as well.

First of all, when i got the package, i brought it inside to the room i was gona put it in. I did not notice there was grease on the box cuz its not something to expect or to have to look for before bringing it in.

I put it on my carpet and moved it around to open it. I got huge grease stain on my brand new capet as is a brand new house. I spent the whole Friggin weekend scrubbing and shampooing the carpet to try and remove stain.

I can still notice it after all that. Moving on. i open the box and started puting it together. Doing so, i noticed scratches in the paint on the metal underneath the desk. I was angry bout that too but i got it all unpacked and put half of it together, im thinking it was either a refurbished item or the factory workers misshandeled item before packing.

I decided to accept it cuz it would be underneath and not visable. When i got to the end of putting it together, i opened the rolled up mouse pad top and noticed it had a burn hole in it from a cigarette im guessing.

Now im extreamly angry cuz its on the top and noticeable and i got the whole thing together and would have to take it all apart and try to get it all back into box to return it or exchange it. So i decided to keep it and just be angry with my whole purchase.

When i got desk into spot it was going, I tested to check sturdyness of desk. It is Friggin wobbley like someone else had mentioned in the reviews too. It needs 4 legs to stop wobblyness not 2 legs. And yes I put it together properly and tight n securely.

I have to accept i got a crappy product. And a really big crappy experience. **I had to change language cuz it contained vulgar words. So imagine how angry I was/am.

I was looking for a gaming desk that i could fit my 2 monitors and computer case on and this desk did the job. Its not too hard to put together but was kinda irritating. just make sure you tighten everything so the desk dont wobble.

I got the desk to be able to have two laptops and some arm space on it. The width and depth afforded me much more space than I expected to also keep my notebooks, pen cups, and phone stand, without taking too much space in the room! I particularly like the headphone holder (won’t get another desk without it).

I like the height of the desk because it fits right under my window and allows me to have leg room and move my office chair without hinderance. I recommend.

Its a great desk, but if you want the full 52inches, you have to take into consideration the cupholder and headphone rest. The actual desk top is 45 1/4 inch.

Measurements off. The holes don’t align so i had to drill new holes. Cup holder not very sturdy at the joint so be careful when using. Esthetically it’s good.

Brought two of these, one pink and one black version. Surprisingly two very different quality standards, as if made in different factories. One very well packaged which assembled perfectly and is very sturdy.

The other packaged poorly with cosmetic damage and poor alignment of parts making for a less sturdy desk. Ultimately still happy with both desks for the price paid. Kids love them and in my opinion suitable for them.

But if I was buying for myself I would look for larger/better quality desk, as not big enough for dual screens and desk is light so moves too easily. Suited for less enthusiastic gaming.

This is a really nice desk with a lot of work area. It is a chore to put together. By myself it took 2 hours. I used a cordless driver with a hex bit and a screwdriver bit. I can’t imagine trying to do this with the little hex wrench that is in the hardware package, and a hand held screwdriver.

It would probably have taken me 12 hours that way. Three things to note: 1. the keyboard tray is not useful for a keyboard so I bought a pencil tray to put on it and use it for storing stuff, 2. the wire mesh panels on the back are necessary to provide stability to the desk; I tried it without them off at first so I could access the rear area of the desk but the whole thing was a little wobbly, and 3.

the shelves are adjustable so I put my computer tower on one side and used the adjustable shelves on the other. Overall it looks like a solid desk that should last a long time with proper care.

I got this desk on sale and I have zero regrets. It’s sturdy, has built in cable management (cable clips and routing holes), a multi-outlet, nice shelves, and metal grates for ventilation. The assembly is a bit tedious but it is well worth the effort.

My main, but minor issue with the desk is the pull-out keyboard tray. As a tall person (6’1”), the keyboard tray got in the way of my knees. I removed it with no problems. The other thing is that, due to the material and color of the desk, dust is easy to spot.

I do also wish there was a place for excess cable storage. I have a lot of excess cable length wrapped up and taped to the back of the desk. A small shelf underneath or on the back would have been nice.

The desk, once built is exactly what I was looking for. But if you want to have a quick, easy build, this is not for you. The directions are slightly complicated and it is not a one person project either.

Not to mention that some of the predrilled holes for “easier assembly” were too large for the screws going into them for them to grasp. Also, getting two wooden dowls that were about half the correct size and one that was split, literally, down the middle, in half, so it was unusable.

And then trying to get to the angles that you need to screw things in/attach is not always easy.

For the price this desk is amazing. Had researched other desk some of them three times this price. Most of them were two times this price. And I am very pleased I got this one. The setup was amazingly simple.

Item was packaged great. and once assembled this thing is Rock solid no shake at all.

Nice stand except the color on the side is orange which is not well detailed on the ad. I plan to pain the orange black. Other issue; the right hand front corner of the desk arrived damaged. It’s pretty solid and sturdy and I like that.

The instructions didn’t allow for a quick assembly, but all is well now that it’s assembled.

I brought this desk to use for my dj equipment with speakers. I love it and the mousepad keeps my equipment safe and also keeps the table from getting scratched up. I don’t care that it came in two parts or there is two bars holding it together.

As a new gamer I’ve spent a lot of time researching gaming desks. I was looking for something with more depth as I didn’t think having a monitor in my face would be good for me. Deep-depth desks are difficult to find, especially in the gaming style.

After researching and reviewing many desks I decided to go to the store and sit behind one to get a good feel. I decided on the RS Gaming Venno 45″ Gaming Desk. I chose this as, despite it being a “normal” dimension gaming desk, the price was great (on sale!), it looked good and comes with a large mouse pad, two cable holes and accessory holders.

Unboxing, this desk was relatively easy to put together. It always helps having two people, one to hold things in place while the other screws in parts. As it was just me I managed to lean things on furniture while assembling and had no major issues.

The directions are “good enough” but like many of these assemble yourself products be keen on what way each part should be facing. For the most part, all holes are pre-drilled on one side so it makes things easy.

(The plastic corner pieces take a little effort but be patient and they will snap together!) Once assembled this desk has proved sturdy, no wobbling and looks great – even without the stickers! The desk comes with a large sticker sheet so you can choose whatever color(s) match your set-up.

(I’ve kept mine black as I don’t really have a preference. ) I chose this desk as it was on sale and, despite it being standard dimensions, I find that the monitor is far enough away where I can play games for a few hours without tired eyes.

I was looking for a gaming desk with a single top piece and accessories (headphone/cup holder etc) and this was exactly that! I got it on sale but now that I have it, I would’ve paid full price. I assembled it myself in about 30 minutes; it was super easy and they give you all needed tools.

The color accents are actually just stickers so I didn’t use them personally, but I don’t think they would’ve looked awful. This has a great cable management system with holes on top, a metal management system in back, and decorative management pieces on the sides.

This desk is perfect if you are looking for a smaller desk. 2 monitors could technically fit especially if you used a monitor arm, but just make sure the total width works with your specific monitors.

I needed a desk for the home office. I didn’t want anything that was had glass or that was bulky. This desk fit the bill perfectly. It is strong enough to hold both my monitors and leaves me plenty of workspace.

I did not put the supplied stickers on mine, and was really glad, that it was optional. I’m not a big fan of the plastic pieces that are for cosmetics. as for the “extras that came with it, i did not install the headphone holder, but the cup holder has really got me wondering how I ever drank coffee at a desk without one of these.

I’m not worried about accidental spills anymore. it also comes with a pretty cool mouse pad, needless to say, I threw my old one away. I really don’t have any complaints about it, and would highly recommend this desk to anyone.

Its a really great desk. the perfect size for 2 monitors and maybe even 3 if they’re small. The one thing that bothers me however are the holes you can insert wires into. They’re on the small side, and this means when you use your mouse you can hear some light rubbing of the wire against the plastic and it makes for a really annoying sound.

Running the wire behind the desk more or less resolves this. Still for £50 it’s the value you’re getting, I would still say it is totally worth it :).

This desk is very sturdy and easy to put together. Appears to be good quality. Delivery was prompt and the desk is good value for money. Only issue we had is that one screw fixing wouldn’t work but the desk is sturdy enough without it.

Looks a great desk however when you start putting it together you’ll realise the poor build quality that’s in it. The headset stand and cup holder have one screw hole that no matter how tight you go, it’ll still rotate.

As well as this the thread for the feet were fine on three, but on one of them had weld stuck on the inside meaning you couldn’t get the foot in. Overall the desk is fine as a desk but if you want it for adjustable feet, and the extras attached, there’s no point.

I had wicked PC setup but a terrible gaming/office setup. Had 12 year old office chair and a corner desk that just never worked right, chair would always bump into the desk, the height was all off. NEVER AGAIN! I picked up this desk, it’s awesome more then enough room for a triple monitor or more setup, fits everything I need and It’s adjustable.

So if I want to be good for my posture and back, I crank this thing up and use it as a standing work desk and in the evening I crank it down and play away. It’s much better then many tables I looked at competition wise, THE ONLY reason I gave it four stars is the crank can retract more than in the photo but only slightly and it still can be in the way RARELY.

A little tweak to the design and this thing could easily be best in the market hands down for a manually adjustable desk. Great job with an in-house design Micro Center.

I’ve been using this desk for a couple of weeks now and have no regrets about my purchase. I needed to “square up” to my multi monitor setup and my old corner desk didn’t allow that. (My knee would hit the built in cabinet beneath.

) I was getting a sore neck after starting at the left monitor for too long. I really needed the desktop width for two monitors plus a laptop, and this desk fits the bill. It’s way better looking than my old setup also.

I don’t use envision using the crank to move the surface up and down, but it seems to work. I’ve got it set on the lowest setting. Also, the mousepad surface is very nice. We thought about leaving it off, but once I started using it, I liked it.

Was looking for a simple, solid computer desk that was height adjustable and I could easily attach steering wheels (haven’t tried direct drive) and other gaming accessories to and this desk has so far been perfect.

The exact same desk but with motorized height adjustment is $200 more than this version but the manual crank works just fine and should be easy for just about anyone to adjust. Assembly was straightforward and I didn’t have any problems but need some strength as few parts are quite heavy and having someone to help at certain points couldn’t hurt.

I have two Atlantic gaming computer desks that were of smaller sizes. So when I ordered this expecting a bigger size since the description specifications says so, imagine my surprise when I got the exact same smaller sized desk.

I’ve put it side by side, got a ruler and even with the add ons, like a terrible tinder date it did not come anywhere near the 48inches that it claims to be. If you look on amazon you will see the exact same desk with the right specifications listed.

My kids love this desk. It has the perfect amount of holders for accessories. Also, my kids bedrooms are small and these fit perfectly without taking up a lot of space. We ordered 2 of them and one of them was missing the main support bar for under the desk.

I emailed the manufacturer Atlantic Inc. They responded the same day and I had the replacement part within a week. Great customer service!.

Well made enough but far far too small and shallow for gaming. I have a 25 inch Alienware monitor but the desk is far too shallow for gaming on a 25 inch monitor. Additionally the elevated portion of the desk only works if your monitor has a plain stand, not the V shape for stability.

Barely fits the computer and keyboard, feels very cramped.

I bought this in Sept 2022 considering excellent reviews. It was an uphill task to put it together. It is heavy but very soft wood – already broke within 15 days. I contacted manufacturer to claim warranty, after a series of mails and sending various details and photos – they offered to send broken parts by sea freight and will arrive after at least a month which is after the return period of Walmart.

It would be very difficult to get these disassembled and return but $300 with taxes is too much to let go. Certainly not my best purchase on Walmart.

Box was mangled a bit. Minimal damage to the main desk piece material. Went together pretty easy, just pay attention to the instructions. Super sturdy set up for my sewing machines. The shelves are great for my printer, snaps, and tools.

The unfortunate aspect is that the shelves must be on the right side of the desk. I made it work in the space I have in my apartment. I look forward to sewing now that I have a good set up for it again.

This desk is lovely, and suits my needs well. Construction was easy enough, though there was one hole in the metal frame that was a smidge too tight, so it was really difficult getting a bolt in there.

But that was just one defect on the whole thing, I got it all together pretty easy, the instructions are pretty clear. (took a few hours, but that’s reasonable) It’s very sturdy, a good build. It feels so unique with the extra shelves, too.

I’m really happy with my purchase.

Top has some scratches, otherwise it’s a good table. Not a big fan of that “rubber fabric” that covers the table, material stinks. When I was putting it together, I thought it’s not going to be sturdy enough, but when I tighten every screw up, it is a sturdy table.

The way screws labeled is confusing and some screws are not the same as shown on instruction but it worked out in the end.

Desk is very cool in person, and it was easy to put together. It has a very nice finish, and I love the extra holder for ipad/books/notebooks etc. Purchased for music studio/room. Thanks, we love it.

Made with really great quality. Metal legs and top from 2 parts. Mouse pad covers all top of table- this is the biggest mouse pad I ever had. We didn’t put cup holder, but all other parts are very useful.
