This entire game is designed to push you to buy VC so you can actually be able to play the game and have fun. If you don’t spend money on the microtransactions it’s a boring, brutal, unrewarding, 100+ hour grind that just isn’t fun to play.

They drastically reduced the amount of VC you get from playing the game and doing quests, and also dramatically increased the cost of VC to upgrade your player. This should be a free to play game, not a full priced AAA game.

As a huge fan of Souls games Sekiro is awesome. It’s hard. Really freaking hard. It’s also very rewarding when you finally get passed a difficult opponent or area. The visuals and gameplay are great.

A nice bonus is, unlike Souls games, it has a decent story that unravels. Wolf is a good character with cool upgrades. The enemies all have unique characteristics and you’ll need different strategies to take them on.

My only complaint is sometimes the main bosses crank it up all the way to 11 in terms of difficulty. It actually gets my blood pumping and feels so good when I finally beat them! I don’t like COD or those kinds of games I’ll take a great action-adventure like this.

NOTE: Soulsborne vet here – 100% all prior installments – 60+ hours with this game. An excellent experience, but in my opinion cutting past the hype of a new release — it’s a very clear step back from Bloodborne and Dark Souls III.

It’s control scheme and necessary play style force the gamer to lose their prior muscle memory of any of those games or they will be punished. This provides as close to a fresh experience as possible for even Souls veterans, and while the new mechanics have some definite advantages over prior ones, whether you like it better or not will come down to your own subjective judgment.

For me, these new mechanics encourage too much button-spamming (get ready to break your L1s and R1s people) – something that Dark Souls and Bloodborne (I thought) were right to punish. The special attacks in this game (stabs, sweeps, grabs) are also terribly annoying because you need to react to them in specific ways, but a kanji (identical in all three cases) often obscures them, making it much harder than necessary to react.

Some mini-bosses also require specific consumable items to damage, which is genuine artificial difficulty – for real this time. Much of the design philosophy in this game aligns with the black sheep of FromSoft’s recent work — Dark Souls II.

There are multiple “lifegem”-like items and a lack of truly interconnected world (fast travel is once again open from the start and most paths terminate in dead ends rather than the intricate world design of loops and shortcuts in Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne).

One “shortcut” in this game is legitimately more insulting that the Iron Keep volcano on top of Earthen Peak’s windmill (the revolving wall from the top of Ashina Castle to Dilapidated Temple). Where at least DSII could pull some impossible space lore to justify this, there is no such argument to be made in defense of Sekiro.

The music is an unfortunately same-sounding disappointment after previous installments. The addition of area music is a frustrating mistake as most will likely come to find it repetitive every time the standard “combat theme” goes off the thousandth time for a three second fight.

Boss themes are made less memorable occasions by the addition of area music, and are often more chaotic this go around than actually having any thematic grace. Lastly, the main hub area has no unique theme unlike Majula or Firelink Shrine – a major departure that cheapens its significance.

Lastly, the central new feature of this game – the resurrection mechanic – rarely feels like you can employ it to any sort of tactical advantage, as enemy AI often stays around your body even after you die and is still often alerted to you getting back up at ridiculous ranges.

It boils down to an extra half a health bar, nothing more. The stealth mechanics and new focus on platforming are incredible add-ons in their own rights, but unfortunately provide a multitude of ways to now cheese most of the game, taking much of the skill out of actual combat and replacing it with something that, while interesting, is ultimately just less satisfying because of how easier it is to earn this way.

Also, it goes without saying that the lack of character customization, multiplayer, and genuinely different stat “builds” greatly reduces replayability. In fact, after the first playthrough, almost every pickup in the game becomes practically worthless as without more than one weapon to upgrade, all upgrade materials have literally no purpose after you max it out, which is shockingly easy this time – no Pure Bladestones here! DISCLAIMER: Despite only mentioning my issues above, I still highly recommend this game.

It’s by far a GOTY contender and a worthy experience for any FromSoft fan. I simply have to say that for a project with Miyazaki’s direct involvement, I expected more. It definitely feels like Activision got their hands on this one.

Sekiro is a ninja/samurai action game and it’s a stealth game. While the combat is okay, it is, in my view, completely outclassed by Nioh which not only has the parrying mechanic of Sekiro, but multiple weapon types, 3 stances per weapon and dozens of moves per weapon.

Sekiro tries to nail the dance of sword fighting, but Nioh executes that dance much more effectively with greater variety and a much smoother frame rate. The limited attack options in Sekiro basically come down to a game of blocking, parrying, jumping and attacking with a simple fixed combo.

The challenge of the game is in learning each enemy’s attack patterns and selecting the correct sequence of parries, jumps and attacks to break their posture and deliver a deathblow. When first presented this feels very challenging, but as soon as it is memorized it goes from challenging to trivialized as you learn to fight in the game’s intended metronomic fashion, simply keeping the beat until you can deliver a “shinobi deathblow” (fancy name for quicktime event) rather than engaging in dynamic combat.

Because the AI is very simple, enemies rarely mix up attacks like they do in Nioh. This combat system is further marginalized by the inconsistency of quicktime shinobi deathblow. Sometimes a red dot appears when you sneak up on an enemy without them noticing, other times you can repeat the exact same scenario with no dot.

The jankiness of this mechanic is demonstrated most often in the context of dropping onto an unsuspecting enemy and baiting enemies around corners– situations in which triggering the quicktime shinobi deathblow seems at times truly random.

I’m not sure if this is because the game wants you positioned in a very specific way and fails to account for what is displayed onscreen, or if the variable framerate is to blame. In an event, it creates a sort of randomizing effect to the game where sometimes I found myself missing kills I felt I had earned, and at others getting kills I felt I did not.

This aspect significantly erodes notion that one can “get gud” (or not be good) at the game. As a stealth game, Sekiro does much worse compared to the best in class, namely, Metal Gear Solid. The stealth options and AI in Sekiro are behind the original Metal Gear from 1998, and the game is so far behind the stealth mechanics of MGSV that it’s not even comparable.

At times enemies will spot you when you are completely out of sight and at others they will fail to notice you when you are right in front of them. Unlike Metal Gear, enemies make no changes in their behavior based on your actions.

A quick assault and retreat does not result in reinforcements being called in, nor do enemies change their combat tactics or armor choices to defend against over-used attacks. This is a shame because stealth is such a vital component of any ninja/shinobi based game.

It seems like a missed opportunity since From Software jettisoned the RPG elements of its previous games in order to focus on the shinobi archetype, which was them hamstrung by lackluster stealth mechanics.

From Software has made a fair game, but in order to be great you can’t just make a new IP that is decent or perhaps better in some regards than your previous games, you must make a game that competes with what others have done in the space you are trying to occupy.

Sekiro falls short of this, but it’s still a decently enjoyable game to play for a short stint.  I will say that some aspects are well done and more enjoyable than From Software’s previous titles. The speed of the game makes it more engaging and as always, the art direction is excellent.

Just one piece of advice, dont fall for the viral zombies fake plea for help, its possibly one of the creepiest things in a game, (imagine a 28 days later infected attacking you, then suddenly cowering and speaking when you get the upper hand-blatant trick).

All in all, highly reccomended, online or off.

I loved the game. Good story line. The screamer zombies chase you running and can dodge your blows. They can climb buildings after you. There are so many hidden things to find and missions to help villagers to survive.

Night time night hunter zombies are fast and scary. A challenge to beat and caves where they have breeding nests. Online play is fun. They have a mode called you be the zombie. It’s fun. I bought the seasons pass also.

Has a dune buggy that is fast and has weapons. I read where there it’s still 500000 people still playing online. I bought it for my grandson also. Very graphic bloody details. Cool.

Dying light is an exceptional game. A huge open world, engaging storyline and plot twists, unique weapons, blood guts and mayhem. The enhanced edition is amazing value. It adds an even bigger map with a vehicle to get you around.

It adds an impressive amount of side quests, random encounters and a great added storyline. The graphics are brilliant and roaming around the world at night is as scary as hell! Highly recommended.

This item (the UK collector’s Dark Pictures Anthology “volume 1”) actually has sort of a misleading title. This actually contains the first TWO games from the Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan and Little Hope.

They both come together in a really nice steelbook case with the series logo on front and “the curator” character on back. The case inside has the logos for the first four games (only 2 released and 1 coming soon at the time of this review) but there is ROOM for 8 discs inside in case they make more like they had planned.

It also comes with a rough cloth map, containing logos where the first 4 games take place, and 2 collector’s pin’s of the individual game’s symbols. For now you can only get these pins in the sets, or if you buy them second hand (that might change).

As with the steelbook, the map is a fun quality item as well. The pins are ok but they do not really look as advertised. (As far as the third game releasing soon, you can get its pin if you can find it directly from bandai namco).

As far as the games themselves, if you like horror games I highly recommend them! They’re very atmospheric and story-heavy. Since they’re kinda “choose your own adventure” style (multiple endings, your choices in game change dialogue and scenes, etc) they can very occasionally seem slightly disjointed, but mostly they flow well.

You can try to figure out what’s going on, or just charge ahead. You can sneak or “fight. ” It’s not a shooter so you won’t have action like that, more quick time events and aiming and stuff. You can be nice, cooperative, a jerk, whatever.

You can try and save all the characters or kill them all. Very high replay value! If you like horror games with story just go for it, you won’t be sorry. It’s from the makers of Until Dawn so if you liked that this is a good option for you as well!.

My friend and I really like playing co-op games. We also really like story-driven games like this, but unfortunately not enough of them support multiplayer outside of this Dark Pictures Anthology series.

We bought this and played through it the same night (it lasts roughly 4 hours) and then played through it again the next day from the other characters’ perspective and made different choices to see how different the story can be.

We both enjoyed it. The story is good (though the ending didn’t make much sense, I take a point off the score just for that), there’s the occasional jump scares (which I like, but my friend not so much) and the graphics look great.

Obviously a lot of effort goes into this with the professional voice acting and motion capture they use, I’m surprised they only charge $30 for these games when they’re certainly not made on a small budget.

I definitely recommend this game if you’re into the whole “choose-your-own-adventure” style games. You can play online with a friend (there’s no voice chat support, I guess they don’t want you communicating because you spend quite a bit of the game separated and seeing different things) or local multiplayer where you and four others can pass the controller around the room, and of course there’s an option where you can just play it alone.

After you beat the game and the credits roll they play a trailer for the next entry in the series and my friend and I are already looking forward to it.

So I’d give NBA2K22 a 4. 5/5 out of 10. MyTeam is pretty much the same from previous years. You can grind it out but the rewards are minuscule and not worth it at the end of the day. You really are forced to pay for VC (Virtual Currency) in order to build a team and add players you want via Pack openings.

However then there is an additional currency (as with previous iterations) called myTeam currency that is exclusively used for myTeam and is the only way you can acquire new players/coaches/jerseys, etc from the auction house.

Match making is broken since your team could be rated a 80 (best player is say an 85, worst is a 75), but a team youre going against that is rated the same has 2 players on it that could be rated a 95 or higher.

MyCareer is gone in a new direction, the base story mode is gone and allows you to choose your path. Certain elements are a great addition (being a more corporate or free-spirit personality), also giving players far more badge points and the ability to get badge points depending on what university you attend is great.

But the downside is that the City is massive! and its become more of a RPG game than a sports game (but may be a good thing? for the MyCareer mode). I’ve found though drawing fouls is next to impossible which is a shame (for instance my draw foul in MyCareer is the same as KD, yet I’m averaging less than a 1/3 of his FT attempts) even with attacking the basket.

Oh and as with MyTeam you’re forced to spend VC to make your player playable otherwise you’ll be grinding forever ————————————————————————————————————————————- The WNBA mode feels like a cruddy add on that takes away 2K’s ability to further the other modes.

Either make a separate game where you can focus on developing the mode further and give it the time it needs or dont include it at all. ————————————————————————————————————————————-MyGM, have yet to touch but based off the above I have a distinct feeling its likely the same as previous games.

The game won’t even play. My kids got several cartridge games and a new Nintendo switch for Christmas. We are new to the switch but selected cartridge games rather than digital downloads so we did not need to worry about storage space on the switch.

All of the other games worked easily when you put them in but this one. Immediately upon putting it in, a pop up says a required update needs downloaded. But as you try to do that I get an error message there isn’t enough space to do the download it needs 40 GB.

Come to find out, my switch doesn’t even have that much room at 32 GB. After fighting with it for hours trying to find some work arounds and some really disappointed kids I will be taking it back. It’s ridiculous to have a cartridge game you can’t possibly play unless you go buy a microSD card.

I thought I avoided this problem by going with cartridges. Luckily the other games worked fine.

First of all. I Love the Series of 2K Basketball. I am Mainly an Offline player and enjoy it. That being said. 2k22 is Harder to plays then last year. It feels like you have to get Higher-Rated Players just to get past all-star mode in Domination.

Also. the game itself feels like you’re playing College Basketball with Nba players(No knock on college play). This 2k Style would be Perfect for a College Basketball Game. I Enjoy playing the Game with your Favorite players you like, instead of feeling like you have to get the Top-notch players just to be able to keep up with just the offline modes.

Also. the Free-throws are more lack-luster this year. Towards the end of the game you’re playing. the game itself starts to drag if i may say(Cardio-Tiredness). though Too much. I Miss the Shooting-Style from Nba2k20 and Nba2k21.

In short, gameplay is roughly 4 hours long, though you can explore some more areas in your own time. Pretty good jump scares first time play, after that it’s just like watching a black comedy, for me anyway.

Story paths has 1000 combinations, some still unexplored. Like the designs of characters, dialogues, ghost ship setting. Yes, I already know certain aspects are taken straight from the movie Ghost Ship.

Still good though. However only 3 things I don’t like, the heartbeat/ stay calm mini game drives you nuts as it gets faster; and there’s a hidden timer where you have to fetch an object or something within a short amount of time, and if I make the “wrong” choice, I have to keep going to the end or start over a new game, I cannot exit game and reload any saved files no matter what I try.

As a huge fan of adventure, movie-style games, this was right up my alley. Produced by Until Dawn’s Supermassive Games, Man of Medan is the first in the anthology of games called the Dark Pictures Anthology.

As a first entry, this is not very good. Gameplay feels so repetitive, tedious, and minimal gameplay actually is implemented into the game. QTE’s, walking down the same corridors over and over, and watching cutscenes; these 3 actions make up your gameplay loop in Man of Medan.

The story, especially after first playthrough, is quickly figured out (most likely before the conclusion of the game), the characters are bland and none particularly stand out as unique, and the overall focus of the game is just a quick romp into the environment the teens are thrust into.

Pros: short length game, good for those with busy schedules outside of video games. Sound design, graphics, and some horror elements are executed. The game is a good price for what you get. Cons: Bland story, short length (story may left you “wanting more”), multiple playthroughs don’t feel as “fulfilling” as the first.

It’s mostly choose your path adventure with press right button in time but found that you have to be really fast and I end up missing and failing most of the time and can’t keep my characters alive and Can not find any adjustments for it.

But the game will keep going just not the way I would like. It’s still good fun.

This game is an absolute masterpiece. I downloaded the demo and played it and even the demo is a massive selling point. I instantly wanted to buy the game and all the DLC, which I did and I tell you now, it does not disappoint.

The base game of destiny tells the story of the Traveller and your Guardian, trying to defend this orb in the sky from many unwanted forces; in short term. The Dark Below tells a story of a new guardian at the tower, Eris, who reveals a compelling information about a group of enemies, called the Hive who are redirecting an ancient demigod called Crota.

House of Wolves is an interesting story, maybe not my favourite, but very good by itself. Its about a rascal called Skolas who has escaped the Prison of the Elders. You are desired to stop him before he grows an army stronger than ever.

The Taken King makes this game for me. It continues on the story from the Dark Below. It also brings new armour, content, emotes, weapons and more. Oryx, Crotas father is looking for revenge against the Guardians for everything that happened in the Dark Below.

The fight against Oryx at the end is just absolutely sensational. One of my favourite game moments. The new Rise of Iron brings a few beloved guns from the base game, and vamps them up a little. It also includes content which mostly describes the story of the Iron Lords battle against the Fallen.

If you do all this, you gain the authority of being an Iron Lord. Overall, you wont be at fault for buying this game with its DLC. All those false reviews youve been reading on the internet, its just from a point of view where someone has too high expectations for a game which are unrealistic.

Worth all the money spent.

If you’ve never played Destiny, I would describe it best as a first person shooter with multiple missions to go on, a hub city to buy weapons and ships, and very little story to keep you coming back for more.

Don’t get me wrong – the run and gun game play is decent, boss battles can be rewarding, and team co-op can be fun with the right people. Aside from that, Destiny lacks any sort of compelling narrative from the start: you are a guardian, you’re brought back to life to safe the world from “the darkness”, and from there you level up and collect new weapons, and eventually, you’ll confront “the darkness” in an anticlimactic way, and then the credits roll.

The Taken King is, in my opinion, quite good. Much better than the main story. Rise of Iron is a joke. It’s 20 minutes of game play with two 5 minute cut scenes in between – it’s hardly a challenge. Overall, I like the game.

It isn’t terrible, but it lacks any sort of story, NPCs are generic, and the major hub cities don’t make you feel like you’re immersed in anything big. It’s kind of like you have to make your own fun in this game: if you’ve got a good group of people playing with you, or you are hellbent on farming levels for resources for that one must have item, than there’s plenty of futuristic fun to be had, but if you’re looking for a narrative similar to Star Wars or Skyrim, than you’ve come to the wrong place.

It’s a good game for a rainy day or a cheap thrill though.

Long live titanfall. Titanfall forever. Countless hours spent in this game will always been close to my heart. I have never enjoyed a fps expierence so much that it literally could’ve been one of the few games I’d reach 80 years old and still be playing.

To me the smooth transitioning between getting around obstacles and the titans are what glued me to this game. Auto pilot was also the best thing to make game play that much more intense using it as a distraction for people your trying to takeout.

This game got a lot of harsh feedback and was never given the proper reseppct it deserved in the industry in my opinion. Server issue and stability was what also didn’t help that. However atleast in T1 it wasn’t that excessive for me.

This franchise still has so much potential and shouldn’t be sent to the graveyardjust yet.

Giant fighting robots, pilots that are as nimble as Jet Li, and guns that go boom — what more do you need? Titanfall is one of the best first person shooters for Xbox One to date! It plays a lot like Call of Duty but instead of characters that control like robots you get to control Pilots that can run on walls and double jump like your favorite martial artists! With these character changes the action becomes hectic and sometimes so overwhelming that your pulse will be racing and adrenaline pumping.

From the first time you rodeo a Titan or the fiftieth time you rip out a pilot from its Titan, you will never get bored with the intensity of this game. The graphics are stellar and the frame rate stays consistent even when the action on screen is anything but insane.

The level design and overall gameplay mechanics work so well that it really is a true showing of current generation gaming philosophies that breaks away from a lot of the paradigms that have plagued this genre in the past.

It’s a completely unique experience that will make you want to play more and more. The only two pitfalls with this game is there is no single player campaign that introduces you to the story arc or world.

The entire game is played only online with other players which may turn off a lot of players but even with this disadvantage you won’t find much to complain about once you take charge in your first battle.

The other pitfall — weapon customization is lacking as well as total amount of weapons. While I wish there were more weapons to choose from, all of the weapons are so well balanced that it makes up for the lack of selection.

Whether your using a shotgun or a pistol or your a pilot with a Sidewinder trying to take down a Titan, it’s all so well balanced that you never really truly feel that any one player is at a better advantage.

Which in it of itself, is amazing, considering that the Titans are huge! This game is a definite must own for ANY and all Xbox One users! Hop in and explore the fast paced action that is Titanfall!.

A fast-paced First Person Shooter with many ways to play. Whether you prefer close-range or sniping, speed or stealth, or just running everyone over in a dominating Titan, you can find a way to play that suits you.

The game is online only, so keep that in mind. However, most of the enemies in any match is NPC, so even if you’re new to the game or trying new weapons and abilities, you can still get some kills and level up pretty easily.

The game is similar to Call of Duty in that it has presets you build to play a match, and as long as you complete the required challenges, you can “regen” (prestige) and reset your level to advance. Unlike COD, every map has places designed for any weapon.

No maps are designed just for snipers or to give CQB a dominating advantage. The game focuses around titans. Giant walking tanks you ride in that become a real threat to any player. Everyone can call in their titan after a few minutes in the game, and if yours is destroyed, you get another in a couple minutes.

People often use titans to fight other titans, but you can fight them on foot as well, which is often faster to destroy the enemy. And just because the titans have immense firepower doesn’t mean they’re OP.

The stealth in game works against Titans better than players on foot. Titans can’t enter most buildings. Their firepower has to reload and their quick boosts have to recharge. And any pilot who climbs on an enemy titan’s back can shoot at the internal core to bypass the shield system and damage the titan quickly.

(Just beware, the pilot may get out or use a tactical ability to save their titan. ) I actually regened the first time and only operated my titan 1% of the gameplay, preferring to use my titan as a decoy.

The best part about this game that sets it apart from other shooters is the parkour. If you’re under fire or in a dangerous spot, some quick thinking and wall running can get you out of harm’s way in a flash.

And even though standing on rooftops gives you a great vantage point, you can scale buildings so quickly, that it’s as quick to climb as it is to fall. There is also “burn cards”. Basically, a bonus you can activate to give you a slight advantage over others.

You can take up to 3 into a match, using 1 at a time, and they last until you die or the match is over. The game is very well-balanced for all players, and I don’t think a single one of my friends didn’t like it.

Unfortunately, it’s becoming less popular so there are many less people to play against, and I think the DLC is all done. Still, I really like the game and hope another like it comes out. And if you like a FPS, this one is definitely worth trying.

Having been fortunate enough to own a PS5 on launch day and now an Xbox Series X for about a week or so I can confidently say that I do not regret my purchase. Admittedly at first I was cautious, however considering Microsoft’s recent acquisition of multiple award winning game studios I decided to future-proof my gaming.

At first I was a little underwhelmed by the lack of Xbox exclusive titles, after all I’d come from the likes of Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift apart. However, I can say those worries have quickly been put to rest by the extensive catalogue of games available on Game Pass, the native upscaling of older games has also been a treat and seeing some of my favorite old games come to life in the way that Banjo Kazooie or Fable have is both nostalgic and refreshing.

If that wasn’t enough the guarantee of games from studios like XGS and now Bethesda studio on release day makes Game Pass a no-brainer in my opinion. All this and we haven’t even discussed quick resume yet, I cannot stress enough just how unbelievably convenient this little feature is and I’ve come from being blown away by its sheer speed to almost expecting it- sure the PS5 has incredible loading speeds but the ability to completely bypass all loading screens and instantly pick up from where you left off is something that cannot be beaten.

This becomes especially apparent when switching from a single player game to multiplayer games with friends and doing it on the fly feels so, so good. I’ve come from being on the fence about Microsoft’s latest and greatest to finding myself just naturally turning towards it whenever I’m gaming, the sheer variety of games available on Game Pass coupled with the practicality of quick resume has meant that I find less and less reason to pick up my dual sense controller.

Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to first party exclusives I still believe PlayStation truly have something magical and I’m super excited for the release of games like God Of War: Ragnarok, SpiderMan 2 and Forspoken however that’s just it I find that other than first party exclusives I have no real compelling reason to play the Ps5, after all why purchase a triple AAA third party title for £50 when I can potentially experience it for free on release day for £10 a month on Game Pass? I’m not here to convince you that one is better than the other after all they both satisfy different needs for me, I love them both and look forward to seeing what the future holds for the next gen of consoles.

As the title says, I own both the PS5 and the Series X, and being as non-biased as I can be, my Xbox gets played much more. Why? Game Pass, great backwards compatibility, accessories, and games that receive long-term support.

First off is Game Pass, it’s a great value and new games get added all the time, so there’s usually something added that I want to play every week or so. Sure, Sony has some high quality exclusives and I do enjoy those too, but after I play through those within a week or two, my PS5 is just sitting there for months until the next exclusive comes along.

I turn on my Xbox almost every day since there’s always something there for me. Backwards compatibility is another big plus, older games that I’ve enjoyed received updates that make them run at higher framerates and resolutions than before, making them easier to go back to after getting used to most games running at 60 FPS nowadays.

These updates are usually free too unless it’s a remaster/remake. Another advantage is accessory support, you can use a mix of the new Series X|S controllers and Xbox One controllers to play any game on Xbox.

It’s also a better party system too since the Xbox supports up to 8 players at once locally. On PS5 you can only have 4 local players max, and you’re forced to buy the pricier Dual Sense controllers for playing PS5 games.

Games that are exclusive to Xbox/PC also receive support and updates for a long time and keep you coming back. For example, Sea of Thieves came out in 2018, and it still gets updates every few months that brings people back.

Sony’s exclusives tend to be a “one playthrough and I’m done” type of experience, so they’re in my cycle of games I’m playing for a much shorter amount of time. There’s other small features that I like on Xbox too, like how you can install games via the Xbox app even if you don’t own the game, so if you know you’re going to buy a game, you can install it and have it ready ahead of time.

Don’t get me wrong, the PS5 isn’t terrible and is worth owning too if you can afford it. It just annoys me that people talk down on Xbox without even owning one for a head to head comparison. Again, I do own both, and there are a lot of advantages for Series X that I hope people will become more aware of here.

I’ve had enough of waiting on Sony to release the PS5. I’ve heard from a number of people including someone who works for Sony in the PS distribution teams, that Sony is hoarding PS5s in it’s warehouses to drive up scarcity & in doing so, causing people to panic buy their console like it will never come.

From the mid 1990s I’ve got the original Play-station, PS2 (both versions) PS3 (Both versions) & a PS4 (standard late 1TB edition) & all are in full working order so you might be thinking why have I switched.

I’m a long time PS gamer & never had time for Xbox as it seemed too much like a PC which I already had. I talked with some people who already have a PS5 & an Xbox series X or S console. All of them(including two who own 2 tech stores)had more favourable reviews of the Xbox over the PS5 from the Xbox easy ability to switch through games & apps & quick resume to it’s hardware which is superior to the PS5 plus a lot of titles on PS are on Xbox.

I decided rather than wait for Sony to make more consoles available, to buy the Xbox series x with the game pass. I’ve not been disappointed. It’s quicker than the PS5 I tested, it works with my TV by providing Dolby ATMOS & Vision(Dolby app on Xbox store + a compatible TV are required)for games & movies from the apps so these look and sound amazing.

I found the PS4 & 5 worked against me a bit with HDMI settings. The Xbox is quiet (remember the jet taking off inside your PS4) with only one light on the front of the console & on the controller. It can be place upright or on it’s side and while it is a bit heavy & larger than the Xbox one, it trumps the PS5 for ease of handling & size.

The controller is easy to use and with games I was already familiar with, it was easy to pick up & I’m playing games I never would have bothered with on PS5. The build quality of the console and controllers has a premium feel plus there is no bulky transformer for the power supply (standard 2 PIN connecter to 3 pin plug) with this console which I know from friends with previous Xbox consoles that this was an annoyance.

You also get a HDMI cable that is around 2 metres long included in the box so long enough to reach from the console to the TV. The PS3 nor 4 had a HDMI cable that long. Check the full specs on the Xbox website for more info on the console.

The all access package gives 24 months access to the Xbox/Microsoft store with 100 free game titles each month plus discounts on others. Sure Sony only charges £50 per year but only offers between 1 – 3 free games per month with discounts on others.

The Xbox series x is not perfect however. Several issues that frustrate my with Xbox console are that it’s controllers don’t come with a rechargeable battery out of the box. Fair that these are sold at reasonable prices separately so when battery degradation kicks in, these are easily replaced unlike PS wireless controllers which need to be replaced completely unless you have the knowhow to change the battery but it would be nice to have a rechargeable battery pack included with the Xbox initial setup or a discount voucher for a battery pack.

In some games, the A button takes a second or two to respond which can be critically fatal in some game situations. The console can’t be shut down completely unless you go into the settings and select the option.

Otherwise it’s in a shutdown but standby mode drinking expensive electricity like it’s going out of fashion! The Xbox has been a real eyeopener for me as a gamer and while I didn’t like the previous generations, I do like this one.

I’ll miss some titles like the Uncharted series but aside from this, it’s still a worthwhile change for me. Sony are going to lose users & customers to Xbox but then they always seem to have issues with the odd numbered consoles.

Who remembers all the issues with their launch of the PS3 (Seeing one smashed to bits with a sledge hammer was surreal) or the burned out consoles from playing L. A. Noire which neither Sony or Rockstar would take responsibility for.

My brother who currently has our PS & PS2 console is going over to Xbox now. He’s tired of waiting for Sony and after testing a PS5 of a friend(who’s reaction to the PS5 was meh) plus reading several reviews, is not that impressed with the PS5 either.

Being a gearwrench set, I expected better quality. Not to be, 2 of the pieces were extremely difficult to insert into the wrench, and impossible to remove without a pair of pliers. Now that the pieces have been inserted several times, they aren’t as difficult to remove.

Also the ratchet switch likes to reverse itself when you are removing a bolt (annoying). Overall the set is compact and takes very little space in your tool bag (why I purchased the set) and having the convenience of both a 1/4″ hex and a 1/4″ socket in one wrench is quite nice if you can past the initial ‘break-in’ period.

I loved his gameplay. It is the best MGS in the saga, with a freedom of movement and action that allows you to face the missions as you wish at all times. In addition, its graphics impress. The bad news is that it is clear that, at a certain point, development hastened, causing the story to feel incomplete.

The second chapter, in particular, feels with too many filling missions, a plot told in haste, and that leaves an enormous plot void. There are cassettes that have sound recordings of things that would have been magnificent in cinematic scenes; and the worst thing is that there are huge and evident gaps in history.

MGSV is a perfect game at a playable level, but bittersweet at an argumentative level, whose story, despite being good, feels incomplete, as if Hideo Kojima could not tell us everything. Despite their flaws, I strongly recommend them.

“NO SPOILERS” I can say that I am a really big fan of Metal Gear and I can say I really had a blast playing this. The gameplay is what really shines through here. The characters are great and the music is amazing.

However, the story just didn’t run too well with me and I know i’m not the only one. The “twist” at the end didn’t bother me, its how it left things without a resolution. You’ll see what I mean when you finish it.

And so many things were cut from the game that were previously said to be in it. Mission 51 was cut from the game and put into a special DVD in the collectors edition in an unfinished state. No idea why it was cut, it would have helped set things up for the games set after the events of MGSV.

I can only hope for DLC or perhaps a patch to possibly finish this unfinished game. Tl;dr – Gameplay wise, its innovative and a masterpiece. Story wise – Unfinished. Game is still amazing though! Did I get my money’s worth- Hell yeah! Im at 80 hours and my game completion is only at 55%.

Buy it if you are familiar with the franchise’s story, otherwise everything is going to go straight over your head. Now I must go and get more motherbase staff. WHOOOOOOOOOO!-.

Like many of the other people who have written reviews about this console, I have been an Xbox player for a long span of time. Lately I’ve been thinking it wasn’t such a good idea. One one hand my Xbox one s has proved itself to be a good workhorse to run the few games I play and has done the job.

Before that I was immersed in what the 360 had to offer as well. However, I can’t help but notice the constant updates occasional crashes while running older games. You would usually think that a modern console could run previous games with ease, but I digress.

The biggest issue and frustration I have had with the Xbox is that it won’t even work anymore. For two days I have searched the internet to find solutions to fix the problem with my console refusing to work on my tv through an HDMI chord.

I have gotten no results from this. I should also mention that I can’t get any customer service via phone with any real workers, and can’t even get fake service from answering machines! There is literally a “Service Unavailable” note on the option to call for customer service.

So no luck getting it fixed with the very people who sold it to me. Also tried text chat for help on Microsoft and that gave me the same answers and results. Finally ordered a servicing for the Xbox after giving up on trying to fix it and was completely shocked at the price for getting it fixed.

I’m out of a measly one year warranty and have no choice but to pay over $230 just hoping that it will actually work again. I roll my eyes at customer service and ethics such as what Microsoft and Xbox delivers to in many cases, loyal customers.

I have owned every console Microsoft has owned and I am not impressed now don’t get me wrong PlayStation is no better and if you actually think they are that different your on crack because we all know just like the car industry all these companies share the same tech and feed off each other.

I have recently sold all of my gaming accessories and used the money to invest in hobbies like you know GOING OUTSIDE! I can honestly say the gaming thing has turned hundreds of thousands of kids and adults sadly into lazy, worthless, nobody’s and now people don’t even develop social skills or even have a purpose.

Instead these kids and “adults” sit glued to a screen which your eyes will pay for later and actually think they are big and bad because they play shooter games and talk down to other losers that they wouldn’t say a word to in the real world.

We have created little snowflake warriors. I was shooting half the guns you seen in COD at 12-13 years old with my dad’s arms dealer license and learning to do all of the life skills games won’t teach you, I bet half these “adults” don’t even know how to change a tire… something I learned at 8.

I think gaming went from a hobby to an addiction and that’s why it’s so popular. Just remember when the end times come YOU won’t be prepared for anything and your loved ones will suffer because your weak.

For a Counter Strike port to the console, this is about as good as it will get. It takes some time to get used to playing this with the controller if you are coming from a PC gaming world, but if you can find this game for cheap, it is worth it for the novelty at the least.

The menus in this game are well designed, but the one thing that is odd is the HUD during gameplay. It has larger text that is not transparent, and sticks out like a sore thumb at first. There are no options to adjust the HUD either.

Since there is no more Xbox Live for the original games, you won’t be able to play online unless you used a third-party solution. There is LAN capability for a LAN party which is a nice feature to have.

Even just with the bots, you will probably have a good time playing oldschool CS 1. 6.

I began playing this on a computer, but haven’t played for about 7 years due to not having it set up on my computer. This was the 1st game I bought after receiving my XBOX 360. You will need an upgrade to play it on the 360, but if you are hooked up to the internet, then it will do everything for you.

This game is meant to be played online, so if you are looking for a game to play by yourself, don’t buy this. The game is a bit old, and well a little outdated and it seems that the following has fallen out a bit.

There are not many people playing, however there is just about always a host set up with at least 5 people playing. Some are really really good, but there are always beginners that make it easy for you to make a kill.

The controls are a bit harder to get use to than it was on the computer, but like any game, you adapt. The hardest for me is lining up my cross-hares, the harder you push the faster it moves, the gentler the slower is moves.

The problem is that a lot of the people playing are very fast, so it is hard to keep up.

Everybody knows Counter Strike on the PC, but how does it fare in the Xbox world? Controllers cannot compare to mice when it comes to sensitivity and aim, but this is just as fun on Xbox. Campaign and multiplayer are so similar to PC, but with graphics improving on PCs, Xbox’s version doesn’t look quite as real.

Due to a lack of keyboard, Xbox’s version successfully converts the buy zone to an easy task. A simple and addicting first person shooter, Counter Strike on Xbox draws you in with it’s graphic headshots and difficulty.

Online play is just as fun, compared to on the PC, and even with Xbox 360’s advancements, there are still players on Xbox Live playing this game. Different maps than on PC and fun missions truly makes the campaign worth the buy and multiplayer, either against friends, on Xbox live, or just against the CPU, nothing compares (except Halo).

Strategy and skill are the key to success and can be achieved with simple controls and relaxing fun.

Elden Ring is Probably the closest thing to a “perfect” open world game available on the market today. Elden Ring is the latest From Soft release and it plays much like their past Soulsborne series; use varied weaponry and minimal clues to traverse the environment and kill difficulty enemies, piecing together the lore using item descriptions, context clues and NPC dialogue.

It’s a formula that works and is made better by the new open world layout of the map. From the very minute you start the game you are able to travel in any direction and do basically whatever you want.

There is just enough guidance to point you where you need to go but it is loose enough that you can decide to face challenges your way and in the order in which you’d prefer. The difficulty of the game is notorious but never feels unfair.

As for performance, gaming has never looked and felt better and the PS5 does a great job keeping up with the fluid movements of the games characters and environments. Downsides to me are no special implementations of Dualsense haptics or adaptive triggers, but that may be a lot to ask of a third party multi platform game; also the lack of a quest journal, while understandable, makes the game less than manageable If you take a few days off to get some sunshine (not that you’ll want to).

Overall I’m it’sa 4. 5/5 for me, leaning towards a 5. New players will benefit from using the new AI and Co-Op options and OG Souls heads will enjoy creating builds that are cool and competitive.

I purchased this product with the intention that it was a game. I must have overlooked the print of it being an add on it’s not a game. Meaning you can download fortnite for free and this is for you to add more product to your character.

I’m glad I had bought other games along with this. My kid still liked it. If you are looking for this product Walmart again has the best price vs all other retailers. Keep in mind it is only an add on.

Typically 24. 99 on the game or in stores however I found it on clearance at Walmart for 16 dollars and it was well worth it! Multiple skins, coins to buy other stuff, and accessories. No actual disk it’s just a code in a case.

Fortnite in general is a great game for parents to enjoy with their kids!.

got game for my son for Christmas and watched him open it up with so much excitement but there was a problem the disk itself was missing. The insert was there but no disk. With walmarts policy of if the seal has been broke there is nothing that can be done basically that leaves us having to buy it again and pray the next one has a disk inside.

I won’t go into things very in depth as there have been numerous professional reviews in the last couple of years since Wolfenstein released. I will say that this is easily far and away my very favorite entry in the series.

The alternate history science fiction approach is a perfect fit and for the first time, this series has a substantial narrative aspect. The wide assortment of weaponry at your disposal is impressive and using them in various creative ways leads to some gratifying kills.

There are times when a stealthy approach is preferable and it’s a blast to pull that off. It doesn’t feel aggravating or tedious like it does in many other games use of a stealth mechanic. Of course if you blow it or just prefer head on carnage, the player isn’t penalized for it or forced to reload the last checkpoint.

You may find that you’ve bitten off more than you can chew though! Firefights are hectic and crazy fun. I should point out that Wolfenstein has no multi-player content. For me, that wasn’t a big deal.

The single player campaign is all kinds of fun and the bargain price you can find this for by now makes picking it up a no-brainer.

I’d have to say, I was expecting more of the original Wolfenstein, or perhaps some Doom elements. Although this is not a horrible game, it appears to be made for the masses. If you like crappie CGI Hollywood blockbusters, this game has a ton of cinema, some of which you are forced to watch.

It is a pointless and overdone story, and looks more like an attempt to show off the talent of the graphics team. Pointless and unnecessary. We get it!. Them Nazis are bad, bad, bad, and are. (once again) up to no good.

no generic and lengthy movie necessary, just lemme shoot. ! It is not a horrible shooter. Its very noticeable handicap is that it has absolutely no immersion factor, or atmosphere whatsoever. It is a fairly well crafted shooter that is in fact, quite boring and unoriginal.

I’m not an “Id” software fanclub member, but I expected much more. Like the other reviewer said, it is a game that is easy to shelf, and uninspiring to return to. If you are looking for a Half Life 2, Doom, or Borderlands 2 experience, this will most likely disappoint.

Nice idea. poorly executed. Suggestion: Try the Orange Box, or the Doom BFG edition, if you want endless value and a fine shooters that you can totally get lost in when the lights are off. Maybe. Wolfenstein is an okay value if youcan grab it for 8 bucks.

This game is just plain fun. The action is engaging and the world is well constructed and thought out. It imagines a world where the Nazis won the second world war. It is dark and the machine like dogs are terrifying.

Your mission: Stop them!! If you like action first person shooter games this one is a must. If you played the first games in the series and found yourself a little disappointed PLAY this one. If you did not play the others this one plays well as a stand alone story.
