After owning multiple copies of this, on different platforms, l and having problems juggling the Rockstar launcher and a platform-specific launcher, such as Epic or Steam, found it far easier to go directly with Rockstar, as using a secondary platform will cause issues.

This happens with GTA and RDR2, but put this down to terrible coding in proprietary launchers, so try to go direct if you can. The game has had some tweaks over the years, which has improved gameplay and running it with an RTX 3080, on max settings, showcases just how smooth and gorgeous the GTA engine is.

Even on a 1080p monitor, the visuals run smoothly, no lag or caching, which can cause stuttering. Increasing the draw distance to max, produces a far better experience, as LS comes to life and looks like a living, breathing city.

Graphics aside, the gameplay is still fun, frantic and very amusing, with the stories of our three protagonists played out. Whilst GTA V is getting on in age, this is Rockstar’s flagship cash cow, with online getting stronger and stronger, with each new update, seemingly gaining more players.

Overall, if you can get this title in a sale, then it’s money well spent. I got this for a song, in Fanatical’s sale and was well worth it. Given it’s age, I couldn’t recommend buying at full price, particularly as GTA VI could be out any time soon, so something to bear in mind.

As I have said previously, if you can get a key for Rockstar version and not Steam, then you will have less issues loading the game. One notable mention is Win 10 and it’s antivirus, which will see many games as a false positive.

You will need to create exceptions in Defender, as it blocks off writing and treats this and many titles as a threat to your system. and run both launcher and game as Administrator. This should make your gaming a bit less stressful, because I was pulling my hair out, getting it running.

Even 8 years later, this game is easily one of the best that you can buy. Whilst GTA Online has gone in a direction I don’t like – and wouldn’t really recommend in engaging very much with to complete newcomers by this stage – I can’t ignore that it still has thousands of hours to offer players across a variety of different activities – there’s something for everyone in GTA Online and it will also make them money whilst they’re at it.

Single Player is also undeniably a brilliant experience. Even though it will take you a while to get through to the end of the story, there’s really no excuse for not playing it through at least once.

A lot of us have got a bit tired of this game in the many years since it’s original release, but from an objective point of view, even if this game released for the very first time this year, it would still be one of the best video games ever made and blow us all away.

The driving is much easier than GTA 4, literally anyone can be a decent driver in GTA 5 unless you have brain damage, but I guess it makes it more accessible, lol. Shooting is also much improved and is high quality, and those two elements combined with many others, including but not limited to the excellent map, make this game a perfect sandbox.

I have to say that we’ve came along way since the first ps3 into Ps4, Xbox one and now tah tah again now on PlayStation 5 and currently also on Xbox series X. Grand Theft 5 has ran its course with that being said that it’s time for rockstar to release Grand Theft Auto 6.

This version brings you really some so so improvements of graphics and frame rates and a little more. I played this a lot on my PlayStation 5 just to experience this on my console. Guys you’re not missing out on anything with this next gen version.

The only improvements that really stick out in polishing are the vehicles and full lighting and cleaned up graphics into this old game. It’s sad that these companies milk out their older products with making it into a cash cow greedy situation.

The price isn’t worth it right now and it’s just better to wait for this version to drop in price of 19. 99 just like the last generation version are being sold for.

I got this to use for Elite Dangerous. It was on sale and at the time of my purchase $20. I been using it for several weeks already, it feels good in the hand, the buttons and the directional input at the top feels fine, nothing feels like it’s going to suddenly break on it, I’ve had some intense events happen in the game and I was yanking on it hard during that.

If a game doesn’t pick it up then you’ll have to download their software and then you can map everything on it. I’d say this is a pretty good entry level joystick to get, the price is pretty good. The one thing that would make this better is some way to add weights to it as it is pretty light, the base of it does have a rubberized pad at each corner, but in my experience thus far, if all 4 aren’t making contact with the surface it can start to tip over.

I bought this to use to fly jets in MSFS 2020 and it works well. Setup is automatic in MSFS but you will need to understand how to use the control option settings in MSFS at some point. For example, the TWCS throttle and the throttle on the joystick can interfere with each other, so I find it best to remove the throttle setting for the joystick.

The T. A. R. G. E. T. software is not necessary to understand or even use unless you are deep into gaming. I don’t plan to pursue that at all but it’s there if you want to. I was using the Logitech Extreme 3D joystick to fly before and wanted a better throttle.

With this bundle, getting the throttle along with the joystick is only slightly more expensive than getting just the throttle alone, so I opted for the joystick combo. To make things even simpler in MSFS, I basically turned off all the assorted buttons on the throttle to avoid conflicts and only re-added button 1 to activate afterburners in MSFS F-18 jet.

As I get more familiar with the settings, I might add some buttons back. Otherwise, I remapped flaps, parking brake, trim, and int/ext view to the left buttons on the joystick base because I use the stick right-handed and don’t want to remove my hand from the joystick to change settings while flying or reach around with my left hand.

I set the landing gear and spoilers to the right/left buttons on the top of the stick respectively, similiar to the setup I used on the Logitech settings. Overall, I don’t have any issuesto report but can’t comment on the long term durability since I have only been using it now for a week or so.

Since I also use the Thrustmaster rudder pedals, I wish the twist on the joystick could be prevented, but that is only possible on the Airbus version. Lastly, I did loosen the slide of the throttle a little by adjusting the tension screw to make it work more smoothly.

As I recall, you need to put the throttle in the full power position to see the screw from the underside. That was a bit confusing in the instructions. The nice thing about this setup and MSFS is that you can reset everything on the throttle/joystick to default settings if you mess things up too much.

I mostly fly using VR goggles, so it will take some time to remember the button assignments and find them by feel, but I am happy with the setup and the flying experience in VR is simply amazing.

These things were made to fit with Elite Dangerous in their color choices. Tons of buttons, but I understand the criticism in reviews on physical placement of the hat switch on the top and the buttons on the base can be awkward to find your way around.

I frequently have to look at it in order to know which one I am pressing, which was fine-ish with the first one I got which didn’t get super bright until you floored it in one direction. Unfortunately mine developed some issues with drift and return to neutral.

I kept increasing the deadzone to try and compensate, but eventually had to touch base with Thrustmaster. The service was meh, but they did replace it under warranty and send me a new joystick at no charge.

Which is where I touch on the dumb lights at the base of the joystick. the replacement model they sent me doesn’t have the issues with drift, but Thrustmaster at some point replaced the correlative lighting with a very, very bright constant light.

You will find complaints about that feature all over the internet and I keep meaning to snip the wires because it’s very distracting when you’re playing something dark like Elite Dangerous and keep having to look right into that light to determine which base button you’re ambiguously about to push.

All in all very solid though, it was a massive upgrade from the T-Flight and works great with the Monstertech chair mounts, even if those will drive you to bankruptcy. Most of the buttons and trigger feel fine, but some of the hat choices on the throttle seem silly.

You get used to it though.

Friday, February 4, 2022 I have had my Velocityone Flight Control (VFC) for 9 days. It has been very frustrating to pair with Microsoft Flight Simulator (MFS) as the VFC buttons don’t align with MSF joystick numbers (B4 is not the same as Joystick 4).

My first flight didn’t go well as the left & right brake button didn’t control the brakes and I ended up in the airport grass! Also the throttle didn’t act linear making it difficult to control the flight.

If you designed your VFC for MFS why did you not label your VFC with joystick numbers instead of the B numbers? Your wallchart is nicely done but doesn’t help me setup for flying. I have been in MFS (latest update 1.

22. 2. 0) control section which recognizes your VFC and attempted to re-label several controls but found some of the changes didn’t work. I have had MFS since it came out and used a CH Control Manager.

I spent many days attempting to set it up and only got mediocre results. Your marketing materials were well done and gave me confidence that your VFC be what I wanted to enjoy MFS. I give you 5 stars for design & quality appearance but give you 1~2 stars on function.

• Are there updates I need to get besides V1F SIP V1. 2. 5? • Is there addition software that will aid me ? • Am I missing something in MFS that would lead me to change joystick designations to VFC designations? Thank you for reading this.

Using with a PC and MS Flight Simulator. Unit looks nice. Attaches to desk easily. Had trouble with default control assignments and matching controls to inputs. The first thing that you have to do to fly is Release Parking Brakes.

MSFS says to press Joystick Button 3. Where’s that? Press B3 and the engine turns off. Tried to assign correct buttons in the Controls menu, where you can “scan” inputs, meaning that you select the control that you want to assign and then press a button and FS recognizes the input and assigns it.

Pushed B3, FS recognized it as B2, ok went to fly anyway, press B3 and the engine turns off. Looked at website for support, no phone number to call, no article about this issue, you can only fill out a form and wait for a response.

Maybe user error on all of this. But even if there were no issues with the button assignments, ultimately the yoke is jerky, especially if using it one-handed to keep your other hand free to work other controls like the throttle.

Really need to have 2 hands to pull and push the yoke with even pressure to keep it from binding. When landing, one hand on the throttle and one hand on the yoke is what you need. Might be a good controller for a casual user, just not what I am looking for.

Might be a good one for the price also, what I am looking for will probably be a lot more expensive.

The VelocityOne is a substantial Yoke (which i have for the Xbox Series X). I have had no problems with 12m of USB cable. I did find that MSFS 2020 refused to recognize the yoke until I reinstalled all 105gb of the app (yay?) but the yoke feels highly realistic.

The 3 items I wish were better were that it came out of the box with a 4-engine jet profile, the jet throttles had a smidge more resistance and detents for the Airbus throttle mode detents. In addition the vernier controls for the single engine needs more resistance (it would be cooler if the buttons worked like they do on a cessna but that would likely be cost prohibitive).

I might 3D print some TPE wipers for the rods to add a bit more resistance. But the heft feels very real. One challenge which I can’t understand (and not just for turtle beach) is the buttons on the yoke and the button names on the MSFS control screen have zero to do with each other.

Makes it very hard, but the training mode is excellent for debugging what is what). It is also hard to see the labels on the buttons below the throttles when the throttles are all the way back (as they are at startup).

I have this mounted on a wheel stand which worked perfectly. The warning lights at this point do not work yet (I mean they light and are always on) but that is listed as a future feature.

After doing some research on the GPD line I knew I just had to have one. The win max is perfect for those who love handheld tech and still want the functionality of a regular sized laptop. The device is very comfortable and when you do a bit of optimisation the battery can last over 8 hours if you keep activity low intensity.

I purchased the AMD version which works well for me, occasionally there is a glitch that randomly blacks out the screen when using a browser but it only lasts like a second and is no real issue, most likely an issue with the driver and not the computer.

Another thing I would advise people not to do is change the resolution settings on the pre installed GPD tool as if you do so the screen blacks out and flips the screen position to portrait, had to factory reset to get around that one, but as long as you don’t touch it, it should be no issue.

In terms of games it’s a dream come true and is ironically more powerful than my home desktop, I don’t really play any high end games anyway but for those wondering about a benchmark I can run Neir Automata on it flawlessly as medium graphics settings, minus the loud fan, but it’s nothing a pair of noice cancelling headphones can’t fix, and it never gets that hot which is a plus.

In conclusion, absolutely fab computer and I’ll be watching what is next in store for the hand held computer scene!.

Great performance from AMD chip, decent amount of storage, joy-pad controls comfortable to use. Excellent for emulation, even some Switch and PS3 games. The majority of PC games also recognize the controller.

Form factor is brilliant for gaming and the keyboard is decent enough. Minor quibbles are the start select buttons are to small and awkwardly placed, screen is decent rather than excellent and the dual fan mode is a bit noisy.

However I was aware of all of these before purchase. Overall I think this is currently the sweet spot for performance in a windows handheld.

Great device for gaming and office on the go work. Tons of performance. Great build quality. Runs perfectly Gta 5, Mass Effect Legendary, Elex, F1 2021, Fifa 2021, Assasins Creed Odyssey. Great for emulation.

Good battery life – 2h+ F12021 to 4h+ Fifa 20.

Positives: Graphics are an upgraded version of the last game, I’m not complaining it’s beautiful. The music in this game plays so well alongside what you’re doing in game it’s excellently done. The story is great, fun to play but you will check out on the second play through and skip the scenes.

The social side is a little easier, communities easy to find on PS4 so you can grab a raid team and play. Hopefully they’ll develop the guided raids and just give us a strike style fireteam system. Negatives: –Bugs! Honestly if you have a technicolor or Thompson router don’t get this yet, it doesn’t work properly for you, game is playable but you will be booted mid mission A LOT work around available but tiresome, it will be fixed soon enough though and after that it’s a 4* game.

— After Game, basically there’s about 10 hours of after game play missions wise, still able to PVP and PVE but eventually you’ll be seeing nothing, bungie have said they’re aware of this so hopefully they will expand the game for us all.

If both of those are fixes this is genuinely a 5* game I love it when I can play!.

Personally, I do not like Destiny 2. I loved Destiny Taken King. The senseless grind to get powerful gear is so annoying that I stopped playing this stupid game. In few hours I was able to finish the game and then you are left with repetitive grind which after playing for hours often give you gear that you don’t need because of the idiotic random drop.

If you want to play crucible then you pretty much want to be either Hunter or Titan. Warlocks get owned in crucible. Unfortunately, I like warlock so I played mostly Gambit after finishing the campaign which is the only part that I liked about Destiny2.

I hope that people from Bungie buy ESO and learn from it. ESO give you content and the interface is very intuitive. You can connect with other players so easily.

Its got bugs and the PVP kind of sucks. Leveling is difficult and the free world is limited. That being said I love the game and play it for hours on end. I think the game will get better with age as the developers listen to the community.

The game gives you weekly challenged and there is always something new to discover. Like I said if you love the original the sequel is more of the same but better done. You wind up running out of space to explore but with two expansion packs coming the game has a lot of play ability.

As far as being a good first person PVP shooter its OK, there will be better games coming. As far as being a good game its pretty good and if you loved the original Density you will love this game.

I purchased this game with a sort of skeptalism, since I never played dishonored or any of the arkane titles. I see many people are comparing the game to dishonored 2 and its core gameplay (which honestly seems to be ripped right from it).

That being said, i got the game, since its a ps5 exclusive (and it was heavily advertised) to give it a shot. First off, i was afraid this game was a rouge like. I just finished demon souls, and i wasnt looking to do a challenge (over 40 btw) again.

While this does have characteristics of a rouge like, i was pleasntly suprised on how forgiving it was. You have districts except of one continous playthrough, and you always have 3 lives at the start of the district.

If you die, you are sent to the same morning, but usually it is benefit to die. You unlock the ability to infuse your weapons early on, so you can slowly build your aresnals for cool weapons that have unique perks.

By the end of the 20 or so hour campagin, i had a good enough weapon and aresenal (as well as knowledge that was mostly hand fed to me) to beat the final loop. Let me start by saying this, the game hold your hands through most of its campagin.

Its fine enough for people who dont want to think so hard about the story and connecting the dots, but i kinda wished it was akin to the hitman games, were it gave you the freedom to choose how to carry out the final loop.

Another thing is the ending is really abrurt, and feels shallow to otherwise a really fun game. I enjoyed myself immensely, and i loved every second of it. I do highly reccomend this game for someone who does somehow own a ps5 (trust me i know how hard it is to get those things).

It is very fun, and very intresting concept for the game. You will fall in love with the story, and the characters are intriguing. While you may feel lost at the start, the game does a great job at its campagin.

This is defenintly not a 10/10 game, but its a solid 8. 5/10. I highly reccomend it.

A unique gameplay loop that will keep you engaged throughout the game. Featuring some pretty wicked powers and a narrative told over the course of a repeated day. You are basically given a handful of areas to explore during the course of day, to gather all the clues necessary to be able to eliminate all of the targeted threats in a single day.

Fail…and you start again. The story is further pushed forward by a hunter named Julianna that is after you, which can even be another player! This concept adds a fun bit of PvP to the game with a separate leveling system and all.

This is a modern FPS shooter that features some parkour elements, akin to Mirrors Edge, with the powers of Dishonored. This mash delivers an exciting gunplay with a traversal freedom that just adds up to UNBRIDLED FUN.

The game feels great and looks even better. You won’t be disappointed by picking up this title and spending countless hours reliving the same day. While dying can be frustrating, if you die twice the day resets, the game gives you the ability to save Guns/powers for those just in case moments.

For that, I don’t think the game is punishing at all and leaves you just having fun.

I’ve never played any of Arkane’s other games, so I don’t have any frame of reference to compare this to Prey or Dishonored. But I kept hearing good things so I grabbed this when it was on a deep discount sale and thought “what the heck”.

I’m so glad I made that choice, because this game was fantastic! The concept was enough to hook me, but I wasn’t sure how the game mechanics would work and thought it might get tiresome at first because when you die you’d reset without your gear.

Fortunately, there’s a story element that, after a few runs, will let you retain the ability to keep your favorite guns. Although I enjoy FPS games, I’m really more of a puzzle nut, and this game serves up both in spades.

You have to slowly figure out where to go at what time of day, and in which order you should be attacking the bosses, in order to escape the loop. Time travel, shooting, puzzles. this game has everything I’m looking for and honestly, I was a bit sad when I finished it.

Though the story doesn’t exactly leave this open for any sequels, I’d love to see Arkane revisit this concept with another cast of characters.

I was a long time player of the original Battlefiled games but have not played in years. I bought a new Xbox and thought i would give this a try. The overall gaming experience was horrible. While I understand it takes time to develop the skill to play well, what I am talking about is just playing as an average gamer who wants to have a bit of fun.

Well, it isn’t very fun for the newer players. Seems very geared toward elite players. You will get killed over and over with little chance to increase your skill, The weapons you choose seems baffling as well.

Several rifles I found require multiple shots to kill. One sniper rifle I used I was not able to kill someone who was only a few feet in front of me when I shot him in the back of the head. Frustrating.

So after almost 2 moths of game play I deleted the game, not an enjoyable experience. There are certainly better options.

I understand that gamers are starting to spilt into two groups those that like campaigns and those that love the on line play! For those that like Campaigns you will like this game. I got it just because of that campaigns.

As for Call of Duty I passed on their last game and it was because of the fact it does not have a Campaign! I was disappointed but in the end it was their choices to go the way that they did! I am sure that those that like on line play are happy.

All I have to say is I am glad for them and wish the Call of Duty all the best. I hope that some time in the future they will build some games again with good long campaigns in them! I will then be more than willing to give them another try! I do not mean to single out Call of Duty because I now look to see if any other games are following the Call of Duty example.

If they are I do not buy them. There are some out there and I passed on them. Even if they did look interesting! In the end it comes down to what one likes and I hope that neither groups attack each other and that the gaming companies are smart enough to support both groups! Now getting back to this Battlefield V all I can say is that you will like this game.

Graphic are great and game play is vary good but is a little different from the way Call of Duty played in the last game before this last on line game. Just a matter of getting used to it. I really like this game and hope and believe you will also.

I liked COD Modern warfare games and since I knew the same developers were making this game and I liked the trailer, I bought this. Here is what I think. ****************************************************************PROS********************************************************************************* -Great FPS/Titan gameplay: Gameplay is the number one reason you should buy this game.

It is a mixture of FPS like COD but in addition to that you can wall run, double jump, use stealth but most importantly play as Titan. Playing as a pilot (simple FPS) and as a Titan, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

So plenty of tactics to explore between two types of play. If you become an advanced player, then you can both control your Titan while playing as a pilot(human). A must experience. -Incredible graphics/sounds: This one goes without saying.

Anyone who has seen the trailer can tell this game has great graphics and sounds. Little things like Titans falling from the sky are very well done. Makes the play very enthralling. -Variety of multiplayer modes: Like other FPS, there are variety of modes.

I have had this one for almost a month and still haven’t gotten around to exploring all of these modes. -Upgrades: As you play more, you earn more points and you can customize and upgrade both your pilot and the Titan.

Makes the gameplay very addictive. ****************************************************************CONS********************************************************************************* -Lack of a good single player campaign/story: It has a very generic horde single player mode.

A great concept like this could really have used a good single player story mode. But unfortunately it is simply not there. I really hope developers include it the next time. ****************************************************************CONCLUSION********************************************************************************* I wouldn’t buy this game at full price as it doesn’t have a single player mode.

But now that the price has lowered, I recommend buying it and experiencing the amazing multiplayer experience.

Innovative and extremely fun but lacks any real customization. I am going to overlook the fact that the campaign of this game really is just the same as any other multiplayer match but with a short cinematic in between being this game was advertised as ‘online required’.

This game brings a lot of great things to the table like the ability to play as on-ground pilots with parkour style movement or as giant controllable mechs, and there is no point that you are in either that you feel like either isn’t a threat to bringing you down.

The pilots have a fair amount of weapons to chose from, including ones specifically designed to bring down a titan from a distance. The titans do feel like they lack as far as available weapons. Both titans and on-ground pilots do have some cool abilities to make different styles of game play better.

For what it is this game is nearly perfect in my mind, but it’s the lack customization that brings it down a bit for me. The only way to alter the appearance of you pilot is really only based on what weapon class that pilot is holding, and the titans really don’t really have any kind of visual customization at all.

They give you a hint that emblems earned (for meeting certain milestones, just like the Call of Duty games) that you have selected will be seen by other players on your titan, but really it just shows up on your gamer card.

In all; the game play is amazing and fun but the lack of customization does leave just that small bit more to be desired.

Looking to control a game like Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous? This sick has you covered. Plenty of controls at your fingertips even before you get to assigning the switches on the throttle base. While plastic, it doesn’t feel cheap or wimpy, and gives a feeling on confidence from the setup.

While I would personally have made a few design changes to this product, there are plenty of buttons to map, and it works very well for 6DOF sims like Elite Dangerous. Criticisms: The throttle stick is short and some of the switches are hard to access while the throttle is in certain positions.

The thumb joystick and cluster of hat switches is smaller than I expected and it’s a tight area to use, particularly at 0 or 100 percent throttle. Be aware the yaw stiffness can not be adjusted with springs.

Most of the issues are ergonomic annoyances, but worth being aware of. Even with adjustments, the throttle starts out a bit too stiff. It can be corrected by removing some of the grease from inside to make it less stiff.

(There are no sticker-obscured screws) I had to use Velcro on the base to keep it from tipping during enthusiastic maneuvering. Just, don’t use industrial Velcro like I did. A few small contact dots will suffice and keep it steady.

Or, even better, get a chair mount setup and enjoy the mounting holes. It is certainly an upgrade from my X52, but the ergonomics are not as well designed. If you’re considering this, I do recommend it.

Just be aware of the criticisms outlined above.

Formerly a Saitek product, but bought out by logitech. Since the buyout/takeover, the manufacturing process has not changed. There are still significant issues with this product. And has been the 3rd Product to fail in very short order.

issues: 1) tension screw (on throttle) does not always stay in it’s set position, or is jammed in position prior to purchase, and is very difficult to unjam unless you take the unit apart (which voids the warranty) (throttle always either really stiff or really loose) 2.

) Inside the yoke handle – the aluminum tube, for the bundled wires, cuts through wiring insulation, and sometimes the wiring, because the tube is not sanded down, is not flanged, is not flared, is not rolled, or is not capped at the ends.

(mine only lasted 2 weeks with heavy use) which causes shorts, ghosting, and eventually non-functionality. 3. ) throttle wiring is too stiff and too thick. which causes the soldered connections to break loose in short period of time, with heavy use.

4. ) hat switches both on throttle and yoke. directional pads/sensors do no last long with heavy use. (springs inside the direction buttons become compressed enough to not open/close/reset their intended circuit.

5. ) USB. Cannot have both the throttle and Yoke plugged into the same USB root. (which causes ghost presses) For me I have had to have one unit plugged into USB 2. x and the other plugged into USB 3.

x to get them to function without ghost presses, feedback, or drifting. But still have to constantly reset or recalibrate, regardless.

On the surface this thing seems really cool, lots of buttons, split throttle, comfortable to use but unfortunately the build quality is terrible for the price and the centering on the stick is hot garbage.

The first one that I got I had to send back after a month when all of the buttons on the stick died. Additionally, the lower rotary on the throttle grip wouldn’t move past the half way point, I didn’t realize that was the case until I got the second one.

I’ve been using this one for the past 3 months or so so by now it is well out of warranty and the x axis on the joystick just died. Finally even with these longevity issues aside, The centering on the stick is one of the worst I’ve ever felt.

Between the loose tolerances and already poor design about the center 5 degrees of travel in any direction are pure mush, this makes it impossible to trim out aircraft precisely because if you bump the stick at all it won’t move back to where you trimmed it to.

Its honestly really sad because the throttle is actually really good and having that thing paired up with ANY OTHER JOYSTICK would be a really killer setup but unfortunately Logitech won’t sell them separately.

Such a shame, steer clear.

Oh boy, a classic reborn. Wolfenstein: The New Order is a great FPS, a reboot of the cult Wolfenstein franchise. If you haven’t played it already, DO IT. What would you expect from a reboot of Wolfenstein? A lot of Nazi-killing action, obviously.

Does this game have it? Hell yes, and on top of the superb action, it has a well written, moving story. The game follows a linear course of 16 chapters, with collectibles such as Enigma Codes, Gold Figures or Letters scattered all over the maps.

The gunplay is surprisingly good, with the abiltiy to dual wield most weapons and each weapon having two alternate fire modes (for instance, the Assault Rifle has an alternate mode using the rocket launcher mounted under its barrel, the Automatic Shotgun has an alternate mode of semi-automatic shrapnel pellets, etc.

). There’s also a special weapon acquired during the story, which has a lot of useful upgrades found along the way – some are pretty sneaky! The story focuses on a resistance fighting against a technologically advanced Nazi regime, which came to dominate the world in this timeline.

There are various locations (from a high-security prison, to underground catacombs, to a concentration camp, to even the Moon!), all with their own quirks and challenges. Many sections offer a choice of gameplay – you can go in guns-blazing and shoot everyone dead in huge firefights, or you can go in quietly, stealthily eliminating Nazis as you go, with the game accomodating such tactics by the inclusion of silenced weapons and knife throwing.

The soundtrack was made by Mick Gordon, the mastermind behind the soundtracks of DOOM2016, DOOM Eternal and alter Wolfenstein entries. The action pieces are heavy-hitting and tense, while the calmer pieces are usually moving and emotional to the brim.

It’s one of the best ones out there. The graphics, while a bit aged, are still amazing due to the artstyle of this game. If you’re willing to ignore a few low-res textures here and there, the rest holds up pretty well even today! To conclude: Wolfenstein: The New Order is amazing.

Just go play it.

I’m 30, so the name Wolfenstein is something that makes my memory draw images in my head. Good old shooter days – Wolfenstein, Doom, Heretic, Quake and so on were the games we all played and loved. So, I’m delighted to say that the new Wolfenstein is kind of an old school 1st person shooter where you feel like a real badass if you learn to be quick.

But this game is so much more than just running around and shooting like crazy. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many stealth sections (I just love stealth). During most of those you can get detected, so fear not if you hate stealth – you can ignore the crawling part almost completely.

The gameplay is really solid and interesting in Wolfenstein. I don’t have a chance to play often, but somehow managed to find time to play Wolfenstein daily until I beat it. I even beat it 2 times in a row (something I haven’t done in at least 10 years) where the 2nd run was on its top difficulty (which wasn’t too bad).

Even got the Platinum trophy I don’t care about. Sure there are some issues – the only one for me was the AI in stealth sections. There can be 2-3 enemies standing almost next to each other and you would still be able to kill them one-by-one without others noticing.

This might have been done on purpose but I’m not sure. In any case I loved the game and immediately pre-ordered The Old Blood the moment it was announced. I’m pretty-sure that most older players will love it.

I’ve been a fan of the Wolfenstein series since the 90’s, when the original first person shooter came out for the home PC. As for the original and subsequent games, the majority of the game revolves around the hero, BJ.

Con: In the past when you purchased a game or a program that came on a CD or DVD, the program or game would load directly from the disc. Lately, more and more games are associated with “Steam” and the game downloads through the internet, instead of off of the DVD’s.

This game has 4 DVD’s with it and the only one that I had to use was the first on to start the installation process and nothing more. The last time I purchased a game and it had to be downloaded through the internet, I was stuck with a slow internet speed of 1.

5 Mb/sec and it took 3 days to download. This game downloaded in a mere 21 hours through my current speed of 50 Mb/sec. If I was able to install the game via the DVD’s, the process would have been 10 minutes at max.

Just be prepared to suffer through the slow access speed of the Steam site. I can see downloading a ‘patch’ or an update through the site, but not the whole game. Since this game was released this year, 2014, I assumed that it would be able to play in a 3D mode, but it is only in 2D.

Also, I have my computer audio set up to output Dolby, DTS etc. to my 5. 1 speaker system only to find out that the audio output of this game is only in 2 speaker stereo!.

Ahh the trusty old X52 HOTAS. This thing is literally old enough to vote, as it was originally released by Saitek almost 20 years ago. Now under the Logitech brand, the design kind of stands the test of time.

Ergonomically, the X52 / X52 Pro have always been home runs. The only slight knock I can think of would be if your hands are below average size for an adult male. Tons of buttons logically placed on both devices.

Once you get into a groove and configure the dozens of available button and mode combinations, it’s an incredibly flexible HOTAS platform for the price. All that said, it’s almost 20 years old and the inherent design flaws present since day one have not been improved.

The software always has been garbage, but you generally don’t need it anyways. The primary problem is with the centering / spring / shaft design on the flight stick. Do a web search for “X52 sticking” and you’ll see what I mean.

This problem even got it’s own word invented to describe the issue: “sticktion”, a combination of “sticking” and “friction”. If not right out of the box on day one, it will eventually develop a sticking / friction point in certain directions.

The inner spring / shaft / centering plate will develop friction and make precise, small movements almost impossible in a certain direction. Manually lubricating things can help, but it’s an Achilles Heel that’s been around since this thing released.

Generally speaking, this isn’t as big of a deal in space sims like X-Wing or Elite, where you are typically making big, swooping maneuvers in a dogfight. But it can be a death sentence when you are trying to maintain your glide slope during a carrier landing in an F-18.

I originally bought my current X52 Pro to replace an ancient X52 non-Pro that I bought probably 12-14 years ago. A few of the buttons didn’t work and one of the sliders constantly twitched. I probably could have taken it apart and fixed / cleaned everything.

but it was essentially spent and had served me well. My original idea with this new X52 Pro was to only use it for X-Wing and ED, but now that I’ve gotten back into MSFS2020 and DCS, the flaws of the flight stick are almost impossible to ignore.

I might keep using the throttle unit, but I am in the process of researching a replacement flight stick. So in conclusion, I’d give it 4/5 stars for space sim use, 2/5 stars for flight sim use and 3/5 average.

While I think it’s slightly overpriced at full MSRP, it’s still a very respectable choice if you play ED / X-Wing / SC. If you are primarily a flight sim person, you should probably spend a little more and look elsewhere.

Ah yes, the Saitek acquisition did quite a number of good things for Logitech. But, the large push was that it gave Logitech the largest push into gaming peripherals that I’d seen in my lifetime. So, where did we go so wrong that we must take Saitek’s tried and tested design, and give it so many flaws that it’s not unusable.

but agitating. Let me explain; I bought the HOTAS system with the express intention of using it for Elite: Dangerous. There were already profiles for key mapping in the game, and I wanted a device to last, especially knowing that Logitech has been a household name forever.

When I first got to using the stick, it was moderately responsive, and functioned exactly as intended, however after about 3 weeks there was something off about the throttle. The throttle’s X and Y rotation wheels started to detect movement, even when the wheels weren’t being touched.

Fine, a minor grievance, increase the deadzone and get on with it. Then, it started happening to the throttle itself, while I had it in the loosest resistance. Fine, tighten the resistance and slightly increase the deadzone there as well.

And since then, I’ve seen no other issues other than whenever I plug the HOTAS back into my PC, if I do not plug it into the same port then all my customization settings get reset back to default. My lord! Was there little quality control done on this batch? Possibly, but it does still function.

Despite all my gripes about the quality of material, like the cheap plastic they used for the handles, and the technical issues, this thing is still really comfortable to use. With my smaller than average hands, I can still reach everything in both throttle and stick with ease making this the most ergonomic stick I’ve used in a long time.

A few months ago my friend got me into Elite Dangerous, a space exploration game. At first I just used a regular controller which was alright. But once I got hooked into the game, I decided to upgrade to a hotas.

I ended up getting the x52 pro and after a month or so (at least feels like that long) I have had no major complaints about it. The controller is super comfortable and accurate which is important for long sessions of flying around.

There is a plethora of extra buttons that seem useless at first, but become very useful for custom button mapping and making plenty of hotkeys. The only complaint I have is that the I haven’t been able to get the “i” button to work for my engine booster.

But, I admittedly haven’t looked into it that much and just remapped the booster to a different button. So really, my only issue is likely just user error. Are there cheaper options for a hotas, absolutely.

But believe me, the extra comfort and customization that comes with the x52 pro is definitely worth it.

Before I bought it I had to research which dlc’s come on the disk. So I’ll save you some time. It’s the full game, plus the two expansions Rise of the Samurai, and Fall of the Samurai. They each are a stand alone campaign with many playable factions.

However it does not include ANY of the extra clans for any for the campaigns, and the special units that come with the add on packs. So you will be at a *slight* disadvantage when you go online to versus.

I have fought, and beaten, many opponents without the extra powerful units. It’s a STRATEDGY game and it’s balanced as such-more powerful unit=costs more to field. This, in turn, is a trade off for less men on the field.

Anyway, I thought I would negate some worries about the raging trolls that say that they can’t win without them, when they really suck and don’t want to learn real battlefield tactics. Oh, and you have to play it on Steam.

P. S. You may want to get this instead of Rome 2 for a while. Rome is still in it’s early stages and kinda sucks right now and is unplayable for some (including me-some glitches froze the game and there were a lot of graphical loading issues that only got kinda resolved with patch 3).

After a few months, and patches, then I highly recommend that game too.

These guys are seriously suspect, immediately after my purchase they cancelled it. Saying they don’t take Paypal. And my “low user rating” made me ineligible for purchase. While ebay sent me a message saying I have been refunded.

Laptoppros then sent me a message asking for verification of a bank account. HA! these guy must think I am stupid or something. I bet you the rest of the reviews on this are fake. There is no way they are handing out 10 dollar steam codes, on steam they cost nearly 40 dollars.

Best to stay away from these stool pigeons.

Great game. The graphic are incredible, the whole gaming experience mind-blowing. I seriously have to calm down and think of my next move for several minutes before ending my turn. The co-op experience is a lot of fun.

Japan feodal times are not something I studied or anything but I pretty much felt like it was taught to me through this game. The integration of concepts such as honour and loyalty and how we interact with most of all aspects of Japan culture made it seem like I was really living in this era for every hour I spent on the game.

I’m only a casual gamer but I don’t regret all the time and money spent on this marvelous simulation. I have yet to master this game and I am looking to another couple of hours of entertainment. I am definitely getting the expansions !.

Red Dead Redemtion 2 is the best video game Rockstar has ever made. To begin with, it has a very good story that hooks you from the beginning to the end. I have already play this game and finished like 3 or 4 times I have done each of its main missions, how the developmentof the band its done, its graphics, as well as how it would seem that the npc have his own life.

it has a very good environment that looks real. As i have already said, I have played this game many time but i have never completed the compendium of animals or plants since it have a lot of variety in both sides as predators, preys, plants for health or poisunous.

To complet the compendium, it will be very difficult for you because some animals are very rare to find since they only appear in certains parts of the map and dont leave the place, not like other common animals such as beers, the same with plants, some are so rare that you can only find one per place.

That is why the game is more entertaining as it encourage you to explore the map to complete it 100%. Critics may say that if the main missions and the compendium are the only thing I can do when I finished everything will be borring.

However there are many random encounters and side missions that can give you rewards such as locations of objects, rare tonics, a treasure map or a especial weapon that can only be obtain with that side mission.

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 out of 1 through 5 this is a 20. How can I comprehend the masterpiece of this game and the amazing character development and the incredible voice acting and the outstanding soundtrack? And best of all sets up perfectly for the first Red Dead.

Arthur Morgan Where do I start with him He is the perfect protagonist, in my opinion, the game sets him up as a simply hardened outlaw who lives to ride and kills to live with him and his gang but as you continue to play the story you get deeper and deeper into who he really is and it’s not only him it’s also with Dutch, and John, and Micah, and Javier, Bill (all these names are your gang members) we all see their true selves at the end of the game.

But Arthur changed the most because back then he was a ruthless man who gave no mercy or pity to others (if you choose to) But as you play as him he suddenly changes and shows that he really is a good man (again if you choose to have high or low honor for Arthur).

As you continue to get higher honor you see his character development as he helps his gang and other important characters like Rains fall and Eagle flies they played a huge part in showing his true self.

And Tuberculosis also played a major part in changing his life, and not only that but John and his family, Tilly, Ms. Grimshaw, Mr. Pearson, Mary-Beth, Even Uncle. Arthur redeemed himself by trying to save as many as he could and get justice to those who deserved it.

His passing was one of the most heartbreaking moments for gamers and It gets even better when you then Play as John Marston (AKA The main protagonist of the first Red Dead Redemption game) Arthurs Good friend and brotherly figure, Together with his former gang members Charles and Sadie who the game will introduce you to as the game progresses through the story.

They hunt and avenge for their good friend and get the retribution he deserved and cuts into the sequel to red dead redemption the entire story is amazing from beginning to first. with breathtaking graphics and unmatchable features that you and all the people in red dead redemption 2 have (your hair and beard literally grows and flows in the wind that’s how amazing it looks).

you have so many strangers and side missions that you can interact with, and it just gets better and better hunting legendary animals, treasure hunting, secretly unlocking weapons that aren’t supposed to be unlocked yet the list goes on, the soundtrack matches perfectly to each mission and gives you a feeling of intense excitement and a feeling that makes you cry, now there are some critics and gamers that have a problem with horse riding because it takes to long, but personally, I enjoyed every moment riding on a horse it was cool, and people also say that the controls are clunky and weird but again in my opinion they’re not it’s pretty good to me and another thing the controls are just like GTA 5 so I don’t understand why people say it’s bad but it just is to them but opinions don’t count in a rating.

The gamer has all these amazing things RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 if I could give higher ratings I could this game deserves more than a 10/10 it deserves a 100/10.

After years of gaming I can say this is THE best video game I’ve ever played. The landscapes are breathtaking, the animals are so interesting and realistic, the side missions are intriguing and rewarding, and the best part is the main storyline.

Arthur felt like a real human being and I shared all of his emotions throughout the story when playing. The other characters are also outstanding. The range of personalities, delivery of emotion and character development were all present and very well written.

I cried at the end the first time I played it and this game will forever have my heart. Seriously. The horsies are also a big pro to this game as well 😉 Very riveting story that has happiness, love, sadness, anger, and shocking twists.

Everyone should experience this game.

Second review I do got the account, minor inconvience but its worth it. You will get a russian email account linked with epic games of russian region and xbox games pass ultimate key, which was apparently fake, more on that later So what you have to do, Login on that Epic games account, go to settings change everything name , email adress password region everything.

And if you want that russian account for discovering stuffs i kept it ia fine change password and name there too. Then what it you own it and i got it fresh, i logged in with fresh rockstar account it was good to go, I thought it was a Scam, but hey its not.

Do i recomend , depends on situation. For me it was an experiment and it was kinda success but not 100% Second part of the story, xbox game pass key, when i try to reddeem it, it says its already been used.

So no use of that, im gonna contact support for this issue and if I got it fixed then, I will write a third review.

Very fun game if you like warhammer and the total war games. The delivery was promptly.
