10 Best Galaxy S8 Car Charger (2023 Updated)

With all of that DC current available in a vehicle, restricting the built-in USB charging to 5W was always troubling to me. These modern phones charge like tablets, and people use their tablets (and even small laptops) in vehicles all of the time.

Plus, in the car, when my phone battery is about to go, I want a fast charge on a short trip usually – Thats where this product serves a divine purpose. This thing is about the same size as other DC plug chargers out there, so I’m assuming its taking advantage of recent development in GAN charger tech.

This outputs enough wattage to charge a small USB-C-based MacBook or iPad – But can also charge two modern iPhone or Android smartphones at full charging speed. This means quick top-ups while on the road.

Exactly what today’s tech consumers need! In my tests my iPhone XS Max was charged quickly, and I was able to charge both my iPad Pro 11 (2018) and my 2020 MacBook Pro 13″ with the unit (separately, not at the same time).

The iPad charged normally with the adapter. The Mac was able to maintain its battery charge, but did not receive battery charge during the connected session, as 36w isn’t enough to charge the MacBook Pro (and I think only 29w is made available to it due to Apple charging settings).

My PixelBook Go experienced a similar phenomenon, which is still a feat, avoiding bulky AC inverters and carrying large bulky power bricks on road trips. It will slow charge large devices and fast charge small devices.

Belkin is by far my favorite brand of aftermarket mobile accessories. Their products are just well made and use quality materials. This charger is no different. I was actually in the market for a dual USB-C charger to fast charge my iPhone and to charge my iPad Pro when I’m out and about.

I had looked at several other brands that I considered before getting this one. The difference between this one and others I’ve researched are basically the wattage and the size of the charger itself.

This charger is smaller than most of the other models but still packs 36 watts. My iPad Pro came with a 20 watt USB-C charger and you can pretty much use any charger for the iPhone. I plugged this in on my way to work, which is about a 35 minute drive with my iPhone at roughly 83% and my iPad at roughly 87%.

When I finally arrived at work the iPhone was charged to 92% and my iPad was at 97%. I was more than surprised at this. Granted, this was no scientific study to determine the rate of charge or anything.

Just a simple plug it in, notice the battery levels and see what they were when they stopped charging. I was more than happy with the results. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t stay in the cigarette lighter very well.

I often have to push it back in to seat it because it had come loose. Other than that, I really have no complaints or issues with this charger. Definitely a winner for me.

Unless it says genuine samsung and comes in the package, don’t waste your time and money. Others say genuine mini, genuine 18w etc. They are cheap imitations that do not work. This genuine samsung one is great.

Compact and actually fast charges almost as fast as a wall charger. Perfect for short trips into town to give your phone that extra bit of battery life, and even better for the long road trip with Google maps running.

Keeps up the charge where others still run flat whilst charging.

testing it with my phone Galaxy S9 at 80% battery car running parked in driveway. It did say 30 mins to charge same as my wall charger. I bought it especially as part of our bushfire emergency kit. Have included pic showing genuine Samsung packaging.

I always buy belkin brand car chargers.. they are cheap and work great!! You can get them in all different colors and patterns I think we have like 5 just laying around !!

Love the colors but was not worth the extra money when you can’t really notice it. Also. would have loved it if it came with dual USB. It charges fast and safe though my old phone gets warm after a bit, my new phone does fine.

I was a little reluctant at first, wondering how well this device would work, but I was genuinely surprised with how effective it is. Hands free audio calls are actually clearer than trying to use the speaker phone option in my iPhone.

My callers also notice a difference with better clarity on their end. The syncing to to radio for music did require some station searching to minimize background noise but overall, it does a pretty good job.

Some songs play louder than others and I have to raise the volume more than normal, but it is a minor inconvenience. Some softer songs do have some minor buzzing noises, which also occurs between long paused between songs, but again, this is minor to me.

The device pairs easily and automatically. I really like the song advance / replay features and the press of a button to answer and hang up from phone calls. For a vintage car owner like myself who still likes their music, its a great option.

It’s crazy when I think back to when I was a kid and what we all now think of as our phone chargers power source was actually primarily used as a cigarette lighter. Boy have times changed! Now we need multiple ports to plug our various devices into.

This Belkin duel USB charger is just what the Dr. ordered to help keep our modern lives charged up when we are on the road. I love my car but it only has one charging port. Switching between mine and my girlfriends to keep our phones charged on long trips was always a bit of a pain, but not anymore! This charger does exactly what you would hope it does.

Snugly and securely fits into the cars power port. The charger snugly and securely attaches to two USB cables. Seems to charge two phones simultaneously very well. It got a little warm, but not hot. All in all this is a very basic item with no real features to review.

But I can say it works as it should and seems to be well built. Belkin continues its run of never having disappointed me with any product of theirs I’ve ever owned. This is a solid product and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.

Normally my phone takes forever to charge at home, but qith this charger, my phone fully charges within the hour! And to be able to use 1 port to plug in both mine and my husband’s phone is perfect.

We go on alot of road trips and it’s great being able to stay charged the whole time. Easy to use and works great, I would recommend.

I recently had the opportunity to use this car charger for my mom’s car because hers didn’t work properly. This car charger is small and can easily fit in your pocket or purse. It’s so easy to use, just pop it in your cigarette lighter and plug in your charger.

It charges quickly so in 15 minutes I can get enough charger to do what I need to do. This is a charger I highly recommend.

Tries the Otterbox dual charger, USB-C, it definitely charges faster than what I used before, it’s nice and sturdy, doesn’t feel like it will break easily, which is a plus with kids using it. Also another plus, kids don’t have to fight when they need to charge up, especially on trips.

well i also have the Kenington dock charger for home use and that all a Excellent home charger also. pretty much when it comes to charging any of you apple products Investing in Kensington is always worth your miney and time by far, hands down.

My AT&T-branded car charger finally broke completely recently and I was dreading getting another one. The AT&T charger was cheaply made, overpriced, and I had to use a Dremel tool to cut down the connector to make it work with the iPhone 4 Bumper.

I was thrilled last week when the PowerBolt showed up as a Hot Deal. I saw some comments elsewhere complaining that the connector doesn’t work with the iPhone 4 Bumper case but at under $10 I figured I can’t go wrong, worst case I’ll reshape the connector with my Dremel.

I turns out that Kensington has revised the connector on their cable and it fits just fine. Awesome deal, awesome service!.

Have been using this to keep the kids devices going strong while traveling. Seeming to be working as expected providing adequate power. No issues to speak of and would highly recommend!

great product charges up fast

Good trusty quality for all portable electronics. Well built versatile and sturdy enough for extended road trips. With 4ports it can simultaneously manage 2 front and 2 rear gadgets being used and charged.

In my car, when tablets or phones are being used, there is no charging socket, so that means swapping plugs and trailing wires that are often too short. This little gadget practically solves this problem.

It plugs into the front giving two sockets for Sat nav and phone, and (this is the genius bit) an extension giving two sockets in the back! It’s well made and all the sockets are quick charge 2. 4 amp.

The little clip extension goes into the pocket on the back of the seat all neat and tidy. I also use it in my caravan which is double handy when we are away on holiday. I am sure that modern cars will eventually get charging ports, but for anyone who hasn’t got that, this is th perfect solution.

Hi bought one of these to uses on a 2 week family of 4 camping trip. Its a fantastic solution for getting 4 usb charging ports into a family car. 2 in the front and 2 in the back. Even managed to tuck the 2m cord that goes to the back of the car away up under the Center console in between the two front seats so its not visible all.

It fits really neatly into our Qashqai. Belkin is a top brand and you can tell its a quality product. No problems at all with it and we covered 1300+ miles.
