20 Best G Shock Under 100 (2023 Updated)

It’s not too big, has got the functions you want, and the combination of dial and hands makes for excellent visibility of the time in any circumstance. And you can have the light to self-activate with a flick of the wrist.

The battery life is great, too, I’m close to have two years of daily use on the original battery. More bonus points for the “one touch” stopwatch function, and to quick move the analog hands out of the way (i.

e. when setting an alarm, etc. ). The only downside is the time format: is only displayed in “American” format month-day-year, rather than “Euro” format day-month-year.

The watch is a nice size and colour, the fit is comfortable, I found the instructions small to read and not very clear, it was quite frustrating trying to set it up but maybe that’s just me? The backlight is of no use at all, it is an orange colour and you can’t see the watch face properly, my son has one with a bright white light and that is a whole lot better.

I can’t comment on the stopwatch functions or alarms as not tried them and I don’t need them. The small dials are difficult to see, with my reading glasses on, but again that could be me? I have yet to find out if it is shock proof but this is part of the reason i bought it as I tend to knock my watches when working on my vehicles I also swim in them and that was another selling point for me.

It comes with a 2 year guarantee extended for a year when you register it, another good selling point.

This time piece is stunning in person, the colour combination is spot on. It wears really well on my 16cm circumference wrist considering the dimensions! One thing to note is that the blue finish is very easy to mark/scratch as I learned not 1 day after it arrived haha.

Both the metal keeper and buckle have been replaced due to this, before I do too much damage. The metal keeper was also replaced due to it being very loose and troublesome. Other than these very minor issues, it’s a fantastic addition to my collection and I look forward to what’s instore for the future!.

The 35th Anniversary G-Shock is a great watch for those looking for something different. The watch has all of the usual Frogman features, but at the same time has subtle differences between it and the box standard watch.

Those differences are what i think make this model special. There’s hidden meaning in all of those differences like a link to past Frogman watches. The color combination is simply perfect with hints of red and gold.

The presentation of the watch oozes coolness and a sense that this particular model is special. If you buy this watch you won’t be disappointed. Only true downside is that they’re expensive and hard to find.

Personally I’m chuffed with this purchase and love wearing it everyday.

Nice analog display. Both home and selectable world time zone. Solar powered. Multi-function digital display, though very small. Complex menu requires practice, though logical once learned – keep a cheat sheet handy for resetting time and changing time zones (easily located on-line).

I own many gshock watches. This is the cheapest one I’ve bought and it is also my favourite. It had one of the largest displays you’ll find on a gshock and makes the most of the available screen real estate with very little space wasted on useless displays.

It has all the essential features and is a great heavy duty all round watch. Also works well with Jay’s and Kay’s strap adapters if you don’t want the resin band.

The yellow is pretty much the yellow of Lego. It matches my Jeep. Corvette, Porsche and Ferrari use a similar color. Ford’s yellow is a tad more orange. It’s dandelion yellow, not banana. I don’t get the reviews complaining of a misleading color.

It’s spot on in the pictures. The watch itself is cool. The speed hand at 12 o’clock is of dubious value but maybe I’m not timing many aircraft, IDK. The reversed information windows are great in the bright sun but of little value in normal inside light.

Still, this watch is more style than practical unless you have a specific application. The lighted dial feature will show the time and is pretty nice in total darkness but you won’t get anything other than the analog time and a cool looking face with the light feature.

I was a little concerned when purchasing this watch. I didn’t want something that was dainty, nor did I want a watch that easily collected every smudge and piece of dirt possible, as well as the notorious back light issues.

When I got my watch it was packaged very well and the color is beautiful. The watch face isn’t difficult to read, even in the dark, at least for me. I am a little harder on my watches and this has performed really well.

The few smudges I have accumulated wiped right off. The only challenge I had was setting the time – it took a little bit to understand, as the manual isn’t the most helpful with this task. Luckily, Youtube solved my dilemma and I was able to get it set.

I particularly love the face color of this watch, the actual main reason I bought it.

This model is the best among g-shock. EL light with tough solar complete the model. Not so big not so small perfect shape. G switch is the best , dont have to look for tiny switch in the right corner so auto light can be turned off for battery efficiency.

There are other gshock can offer more features but have to compromise EL light or the size of the watch. To me these features are important so this model is good with the marked price. One more thing not to mention is the multiband , this model doesnt have that and it ok for me as I adjust with atomic watch from internet and trust me in years it wont change the time for a second.

But still if it matters to some, you can check the correct time by internet once in every 3months. But if you prefer to pay extra $100 for this feature you can get it.

Super disappointed with this purchase. I own two other identical model G-Shock in different colors and this one is probably fake. The screen scratched up after 2 days and I barely wore it. I’ve had my other G-Shock for 2 years and it’s been destroyed, and there isn’t a single scratch on the screen.

Arrived quickly and I’m pleased with the watch’s look. Discrete and skreet. The matte finish give a robust look Still eye catching. Light weight you can forget you have it on ; Indisputably comfortable to wear.

Once I’d worked out how to set the time and timers on this watch I couldn’t be happier. Not too large for a small wrist, with attractive easy to read dial. Great to have the date display as I refer to it often.

Subtle alarm too, just right for work, where my shifts finish at different times and in no fixed pattern, so I can have a gentle reminder that it is time to leave.

Wow what can you say. This is a very rugged, very LARGE G-Shock watch. The carbon-fibre detail is amazing. The red writing and detailing really set off the face. As you’d expect solid watch very easy to set up.

Delighted this is not Tough Solar, why? because Casio have decades of experience of designing these watches and there would have been a technical reason, why they chose battery power. If they had made it solar, which has its own issues, and had charged more for it people would have still bought it.

Its a great watch with long battery life and numerous features.

Sadly after a few hours it stopped working. Only thing working is time on digital display. Hands stopped, light not coming on when button pressed and no readings for any other setting even after doing a factory reset just a blank screen.

Won’t even connect to app. Will be returning for exchange.

My 1st g shock watch. Normally only buy manual watches for my collection. Made a exception to my rule and bought this one after seeing it someone. It’s great on my wrist, excellent time keeping as adjusts every day to atomic clock.

Easy to set up. Solar battery means I won’t have to replace it. What more could you ask for in a quartz watch. As for the purchase of watch from first class watches. Thank you purchased on the Sunday and delivered on the Tuesday.

This is a fantastic watch, looks absolutely amazing and it’s time keeping is absolutely spot on. I’d highly recommend this watch. I thought the gold would be too much but it looks amazing, the LED light is very bright and you can see the whole face clearly when it is lit.

Setting up the watch was very straightforward and you can clearly see the digital displays very clearly in bright light. I’m so happy with this watch.

I like the fact it not only looks good for casual and going out with its gold face dial, but it grabs the time every day via radio frequency so has great time keeping and the fact I never need worry about battery again.

When it arrived it was on medium battery, probably down to being boxed a while, but I put it outside on the patio table in a mug so the face was facing the sun. It wasnt a boiling day and slight cloud cover but within 3 hours it was on high battery level.

I took it inside and an hour later back to medium level, so I thought I’d leave it outside a little longer as I wanted a full battery before we go into winter and less sun. A full two weeks later and it’s still on high battery and perfect time keeping.

My only issue is the thickness of it, as I ride a motorcycle and my jacket wont go over the watch, I tend to have to ride without it, which is a shame to be honest. Would I recommend? Yes but remember to take into consideration that a leather motorcycle jacket wont fit over it, and I wont be wearing it over the top of my leathers either.

Otherwise, a fantastic worry free watch that should last decades and always have the right time.

Honestly, that watch is of really low quality. I had to send it back after just 5 days of use due to horribly creaking/squeaking belt/band with every movement of my arm. On top of that the hours hand was not evenly covered with the fluorescent coating indicating low standards of quality control.

That tripple sensor is a joke as well. Due to its position it will never show accurate temperature, and the altimeter since it’s linked to the atmospheric pressure will give you unreliable results which even for that same location will change withing few hours.

If you need to calibrate that every time then what’s the point? It’s over two weeks since I sent it back to the retailer (who subsequently sent it to Casio for assesment) and I’m still waiting for any updates.

Not something you’d expect from a watch of this price tag (£699), which pretends to be a quality/tough piece. Shame on you.

This is a good-looking and robust watch, but it is not perfect. One of the reasons I chose an analogue watch was due to failing eyesight, but there are issues with the lack of contrast with the hands on this model.

In low light conditions, the watch can be difficult to read. In darkness, it is also problematic to use the light because it causes the 6 numeral to glow so bright that it is impossible to see the hands.

The world time abbreviations are impossible to read and should have been backed up by the abbreviations appearing on the digital display, something that would have been easily achieved. £699 is a lot of money that is hard to read and essentially needs more development.

I may have chosen a different watch with the benefit of hindsight. If I could, I would change out the hands for a more contrasting colour.

I’ve had the watch for 10 days only, so these are initial impressions. The features that I appreciate the most (other than time keeping) are being SOLAR, its resistance to harsh environments (mud), water proof to 200m and the compass (a continuous compass reading would be preferable to instant readings).

Moon phase is also a nice to have thing. I owned a solar watch before, so this was a definite requirement on my new watch. No battery changes for many years to come. Stop watch and countdown timer, while pretty convenient, are standard in today’s digital watches.

The only feature, so far, that I find not so satisfactory is the temperature measurement as it gets significantly affected by the body temperature. Finally, in its core function, time keeping, it is showing to be very accurate.

May be 1 second difference, if that much, in 10 days. I ended up preferring the watch with the black characters over the light background mainly because I read some reviews where some people found it a bit difficult to read the screen in certain lighting conditions.

In the end, I also think the black and gold design could become a bit tiring over the long term. In summary, a very well designed watch for the outdoors lover.

I had been eyeing this watch for a while. I finally purchased it. I love it. Its not to big or to small. It is very stylish. I use it for work and it doesnt disappoint. It has all of the features and more.

I would highly recommend this watch or watch series to anyone.

This is a good looking, stylish watch, with heaps of functions at a very reasonable price. The resin band makes the watch comfortable to wear during all sorts of activities indoors and outdoors. The recessed crystal should make it less vulnerable to scratching.

The only slightly negative point in my mind is the overall size of the models with analogue time (clock hands), but this I would imagine, i will get used to in time.

Today i got the watch. It was packaged decently. It is same like i was expecting and shown on ebay. I love the gshock since my childhood now i fall in love again. Awesome watch with most amazing features.

I was sick of fragile smart watches with glitchy touchscreens, that always needed charging and were pretty awful at the fundamental function of time telling, blank screens, and poor visibility in bright sun light.

Step in the GBD-100, beautiful clear screen in all light conditions with the backlight feature, rugged classic G shock design, sturdy functional buttons that don’t get pressed by accident, simple but informative screens, no clutter just the information you need.

Built in pedometer is accurate as well as the running pace even with out GPS, if you really want to track your run you can piggy back off your phone’s GPS. Track runs in KM or Mi pace. You can change the run track display layout.

Useful stopwatch and interval settings. Will only track running, not any other type of sport so look else where if you’re really want to do that, likewise if you want a HRM on your wrist, but I don’t miss the HRM.

The Casio app works well and its clear and modern style easy to navigate. It also allows some account to account sync of your activities, I sync to Strava. I don’t use the notifications, they are fiddly and kind of pointless, I’m never away from my phone and hated notifications on the the other smart watches.

Having Bluetooth off should extend battery life even further, I just connect it to sync ever so often. Living with the GBD-100 is a joy, if it had solar charging that would be the cherry on top hence only 4 stars.

If you want a good watch with a little bit more this is ideal. If you want whistles and bells look else where.

Ordered midday on Wednesday. Arrived midday Thursday! As with any G-Shock, high quality and reliable. The two straps is an excellent change of pace; black which is standard for G-Shock, but the yellow and white ‘hi-vis’ strap is very cool.

The centre band is reflective which gives the watch a unique spin. The only negative I can draw is the sub-par light. It’s good enough to use, however its just a singular LED which only lights up about half of the watch.

Why they didn’t use the much loved black light is questionable. Overall: 93/100 – Especially if you can grab one for just £74. 50 (black friday).

Always been kind of intrigued by G-Shock as a brand but never really liked one enough to buy. I knew they were tough & had a great following but I also went a long time as someone who stopped wearing watches.

I started wearing again about a year ago and as a watch user I kinda do now check out peoples wrists. So I was watching a film one weekend & the main character was wearing as awesome looking watch. It was something that wasn’t actually featured with a closeup but definitely attracted my attention in a few scenes.

Subsequently the film was paused & an internet search was underway. I quickly found the watch was a GWG-1000 Mudmaster. Further searching revealed the impressive spec list & some rave reviews. I’m someone who likes to research things before I buy.

I’m from an engineering background & I work for Porsche. Quality, design & specification/features are important to me. Suffice to say within 48hours of first seeing the watch I placed my order with you guys & a couple of days later it was on my wrist.

So first impressions. Light, well made, easy to read, good to use & a lovely clear sapphire crystal glass. I bought it as a fun weekend watch but so far it’s been on my wrist 90% of the time since I got it.

It works as it should & is definitely a good purchase. Only slight gripes are – The lume is a bit average but it has a light. The sliding band on the strap is a bit shoddy and is just folded around the strap with a gap in it that pulls hairs out of your wrist.

However once the hairs are all gone it’s comfortable enough to wear around the clock. Would I buy again? Yes Would I recommend to others? Yes Does it get good comments even from people with 4 figure watches? Yes.

I kinda want to buy another G-Shock now but I think I need to wait until you make a worthy successor to the King of G-Shocks. The GWG-1000. Simply the best.

Well made, robust watch. Well packaged and next day delivery. The watch face is easy to read under all conditions and it is comfortable to wear. A good size and sits comfortably on the wrist. The features are probably more than I need on most days but they are controllable and if you don’t want them all you can switch them off individually, so a perfectly customisable watch.

I haven’t used it under water yet but I am confident it will perform as described. A good watch at a fair price and it does what it says on the tin so what is there not to like?.

I had two more Gs of this model over two decades and this is my third. The best watch ever – long lasting, tough, everything proof. Period.

this watch works very well and is absolutely adorable. it is small, it looks small, even on my small wrist. i love it! it gets lots of compliments, which was unexpected. i am not sure as to how water resistant it is, as i do not swim or bath in these types of watches, thats what my g-shocks and my mdv106 are for.

im sure normal hand washing, splashes, rain etc would be fine. the watch came with no box or instruction booklet, but, trust, this little piece of wrist candy does not need you to be super duper intelligent to figure it out.

most of the functions/specs are labeled on the watch itself, thanks, casio jajajajaa functions are: 12/24 hour time, alarm clock, stop watch with split/lap, and very good/usable illuminatorlight. buyer beware: the stainless steel band that comes with this watch can grab onto some hair, and cause you some discomfort if it pulls.

take a few moments to adjust the band properly, and you should have no worries (very easily done: i used a small flathead screwdriver to un snap the band clip, set it to my size, and then snapped it back into place).

this tiny, 80s retro looking watch makes me smile every time i look at it. the last pic i have it next to a casio A158WE, for size reference.

I love the Casio G shock style. Other than being strong and water proof is stylish. Very nice for everyone and for every occasion. I like the fact that it glows in the dark. I love the color blue. The blue and silver is a good combination.

I have bought Casio for more than 30 yrs I have never been disappointed. I wish they will build a watch that the Florence stuff will last longer. Or it will never wears out. Overall is a very nice looking watch.

I had the one that use to bring a calculator, the other that was a divers watch, the other one that had a countdown. Just like the one in Blue Thunder. All great watches.

This is a great watch– I have one I bought almost 30 years ago (it used to be called the “Illuminator”) and it still works fine. I bought another because I could not find the first, which I located the day after I bought the current model (duh!).

The current model does not light up as bright and the alarm does not sound as long, but it keeps time perfectly and looks exactly like the original. After several years the rubber wristband will fracture, but I replaced it with a cheap woven nylon band that lasts for decades.

The battery lasts for the promised seven years (be sure someone with experience changes the battery so that they do not injure the alarm — that happened with my wife’s identical watch). Most amazing of all, the price (a little over $10 US) has not changed in all those years.

I mainly use it when I travel, especially overseas, so that I do not look like a rich American (my gold Swiss watch stays home). Six stars! Recommended! (PS It arrived by US mail much sooner than estimated.

This is the actual real G-Shock watch. It is a little difficult to set but all you have to do to set it,,, is set the city code. as it changes it will match your current area time an that is how you know.

From there it will literally set itself Time, date, day and more. I had taken it to Cartier and they know the watch as well. Then I went to the G-schock watch store and they loved the watch. They helped set it and sent me on my way.

No issues and verified it was a real G-Shot.

I fell in love at first sight and made my purchase. I wore this watch for 2 days, and within the first day, I noticed that the band was starting to discolor. On day 2, I realized what was happening; it was color transfer from my clothes to the watch.

Every high point on this watch was then turning dark grey and sadly had to return it.

Beautiful watch, I normally wear more dressy watches and wanted to switch it up a bit. I am very pleasantly surprised. The face isnt too big and so doesnt appear bulky. I have micro wrists and had to use the very last hole.

The only con is in the setting up – it was still complicated even with the manual.

Second gshock and loving the brand. this is my second gshock upgraded after having bought my first one from a pawn shop 6 years ago. I decided on this model due to it being digital with big digits as my work requires me to note down time stamps.

the added feature of paring with my phone as a huge plus, the watch pings a message receive when ever my phone gets a message or an alert. the added vibration was also an unknow surprise comes in very handy when I receive a message.

I purchased the watch through kay and would do it again. First time purchasing any kind of merchandise from kay, it was an online purchase which I picked up in store without a hassle. Will be make sure to keep kay jewelers in my list of businesses to purchase a watch form in the future.

This is the easiest to read display I’ve had on a G-shock or casio. You can read it at every angle. I even had a GMWB5000 to compare which also has a good display. Step tracking seems fairly accurate.

The watch UI is pretty easy. The app is also easy to use if you hate using the menu on the watch you can change the setting on the app. I set my watch to vibrate instead of beep and its nice. Notifications just let you see the title or first line but I like just seeing its there.

If I need to read it ill take out my phone. Find my phone is very useful as well. I haven’t talked about the workout functions either.

Rubbish functions, horrible strap and metrics that aren’t worth wasting your time over. For the money I could have bought another better branded sports tracking watch but instead I decided to buy this and what a mistake.

Really uncomfortable strap. Why G-Shock keeps on peddling this tough plastic rubbish is beyond me. The accompanying app is worthless. Ok so you don’t need to charge it but the battery lasts only two years at best then you need to get someone who knows what they’re doing to change the battery.

Ok so it goes down to 200m but who is really going to take it to that depth.

Bought primarily for step tracking and regular watch/stopwatch functionality. Overall unimpressed. I was skeptical of the prior review, but it was accurate. IMO, not worth $100+. Pros: – Lasts 2 years and doesn’t have GPS (= lower cost) Cons: – I found the wristband overly rigid and uncomfortable when the watch was snug – Display visibility is worse than in the photos on REI’s website (as of this post, at least) — The display is dimmer than depicted — The display text is as small as it looks in the images.

I found it harder to read while moving than other watches – The buttons sit below in the aesthetic ridges on the perimeter of the watch, which makes them harder to press than similar watches I’ve had.

Had to take the watch off to press two buttons simultaneously. Just annoying.

Had a FitBit years back for the purpose of tracking steps to keep healthy. Seriously think the item never tracked accurately. Came across Casio G-Shock watch / Digital step tracker. 1st off, for Me not being a “Watch” person, I thought I would have a difficult time adjusting to it.

NO. Very comfortable band, don’t really know it’s there, seems to be tracking steps well. Appears more accurate than FitBit. Seeing the numbers also helps motivate for more steps if you’re short of your goal.

This watch is amazing. In my opinion it the most durable watch on the market. I have had mine for over 5 years and it took it’s fair share of beating in all types of environments and just keeps going.

I love how easy it is to clean with just a little soap and water it will look brand new again. I highly recommend this watch especially if you are into outdoor activities. Well worth every penny and comes in various styles and colors.

Not that easy to fit as the dimensions are not exactly the same as an original band. I used my original pins as they were thicker and stronger. Used original buckle which is stamped with G SHOCK. Once on, all good.

The original resin was fantastic and lasted nearly 10 years. I wonder how long this replacement will last. Even if it only lasts a couple of years, still have the second band.

Bought one for myself a few years back. my son loved it so I gave it to him about 2 years ago. My younger son then wanted the exact same one. Bought another one last month. I loved it. Kids love it. Great watch.

My son loves his new watch. He had formally had a Samsung Galaxy watch but is too tough on materials for it to withstand the beating. He just graduated and I gave him the choice of several G-Shock watches.

He chose the white solar powered watch that syncs with his phone and keeps track of his steps. He is physically active nearly every day, so this is just reinforcement of how many steps he is hitting every day.

So far he wears it every day and enjoys not having to worry about the battery life. He likes that it is not as bulky as he predicted it would be.

This watch has the “bells and whistles” to be a great timepiece! However, the battery hasn’t been charged in over 10 years. This long period of time could be a problem in not allowing the solar battery to reach only a medium charge at best.

Unless the battery is change it will never reach the status of a high charge! So. I returned it!.
