20 Best G Shock For Military (2023 Updated)

I returned the watch. Clock face too too small. The digital displays are tiny. The main reason I returned the watch is that I couldn’t read the instruction booklet. The print is tiny and the print shade practically blends in with the white background.

There is nothing wrong with my eyesight. I found the watch to be ridiculous. Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback.

I had never been a big fan of digital watches nor of Casio because I thought that they were cheap disposable watches and I always opted for rugged automatic divers watches that could take a lot of punishment.

Then recently, my youngest soon decided he was going into the military after High school so I bought him a “cheap, disposable” and supposedly rugged G-Shock and was impressed with the quality of it. The Tough Solar option means that he will probably not have to change out the battery for a long time and the Atomic Multiband 6 means that, as long as it can receive a signal it will tell the correct time.

Along with all of the other features it should stand up nicely for a long time. As far as being stylish, there are a lot of options for customizing the watch for ones personal tastes. Being able to swap out the bezel for a different color, adding bull bars and swapping out the strap for something different are options.

Swapping the strap isn’t easy because of Casio’s choice to go with a 16mm lug width to fit their proprietary watch bands means you will have to buy a set of adapters, check out jaysandkays for those.

All in all I am pleased with the purchase of this watch.

this is my first casio g-shock. I have a couple of rolex models but felt I needed another watch piece. I looked at several g shock models before deciding on the gw-9400. it is a lot of watch , loads of features which im still trying to learn how to get the most out of it.

ut looks rugged, and the time is easily read. so, so far so good – 2 weeks in to it. the band is comfortable , the watch face is clear. I think it is a good watch piece. oct/ 2021.

everything electronic fissile and Dies if kept on my person for long. mechanical watches magnetize. Next up every Digital watch I ever tried to use died in under a week. Till my brother bought a G-Shock watch back in 1992.

was too big for his wrist so he gave it to me. what the Heck looked nice and Fit my large Frame well. thought I would get maybe a week of a cool stylish watch. then a month went by. then two then a year 4 years later the Band finally failed.

And I am rough an things as well. gotten real good at replacing my own cell phone glasses usually 4 or more every year before they stop working right. To get 4 years out of a watch. This is a very durable highly accurate digital watch that looks good on my Rugged outdoor woodsman frame and constant active lifestyle This is my 6th watch in 19 years.

loved every G-shock with the exception of the metal one. It died Quickly. stay with the plastic. water proof up to 40 feet tested. don’t really dive deeper than that.

I’m buying two more, I bought two of these watches as gifts in 2019 and have not had any complaints, and they do wear them. My daughter loves it, its rugged enough for hiking, plus the water resistance feature.

So please don’t pay attention to the customer who rather buy a Mickey Mouse watch, Its 2021, hopefully Santa brought him something he likes.

It’s been three year’s sinced I purchased my GG1000 Mudmaster. I am now sending it back for factory repairs for a new band, bezel, and crystal replacement. I can say I put this watch to the test. I’m a retired mantinenace person who did many types of jobs working at a summer camp for kids.

Just to list a few I poured many yards of cement, iron work and did lots of welding (that’s why I need a new crystal hot slag pitted the crystal), dug fence post, worked on tractor’s and lawn equipment and lots of time using hand tools.

This watch was exposed to you name it oil,gas,mud, concrete, swimming pool chemicals. It’s been banged around pretty good. I’m also an avid trapshooter and pistol enthusiast so the Casio took a lot of recoil from shooting.

Changed the batteries once but never has failed me. Never had to adjust the time! Remarkable! I love this watch that’s way I’m sending it in for repairs. I’m looking to purchase another Casio since mine will be out for repairs.

I just feel naked without it. I also got lot’s of compliments whenever I was out and about. I’m 70 year’s old and went through many watches in my life and this is the best watch I’ve ever owned! I highly recommend this watch to all especially if your an outside enthusiast.

Don’t let the size discourage you I have a 7 inch wrist and Casio did a great job designing the band to wrist. It fit my wrist so comfortable that many times I would forget I had it on.

I have owned a g shock watch for almost 10 years, and just recently picked this one up to add to my collection. First off I absolutely love the way it looks, as with most watches pictures just don’t do it justice.

It has all the features you’d expect from a g shock plus the added dual sensor with a compass and thermometer. There is a more expensive triple sensor version of this watch, that has solar charging as well as a altimeter and barometer, but for about twice the price this one fit my budget a lot better.

The solar charging would have been nice, but the altimeter and barometer I probably would never use. I have a 7 inch wrist and it fits me perfectly, if you have a smaller wrist I probably wouldn’t recommend this, there are smaller g shocks that would fit a lot better for those with small wrists.

The Lume on this piece is a welcome addition that I think all g shocks should have, and it works very well although it doesn’t last quite as long as my citizen or seiko. There is a built in white led illuminator that does the job nicely, although it would have been perfect had they included a backlight for the digital screens.

The lcd screens are very clear and easy to read, I love having the dual display as well. If you are looking for a really nice gadget watch but don’t want to spend the $600 to $700 on the triple sensor version, I would highly recommend this piece, or maybe check out the gravity master which is also a great looking watch for around the same price as this.

Bought this a year ago for my son before he left for boot camp. Second hand stopped working with in 3 months. Shipped it off and they repaired it. Lasted 4 more months and the second hand stopped working again.

Now they sent it back and said it’s not repairable because they don’t make the parts for it anymore. Even though they still sell the same model on line. Never buy this watch. It is not capable of withstanding day to day activities much less any “gshock” as the claim.

DW 6900MS 1CR model 1289 Impossible to tell the time at a glance, you basically have to look at your watch and then adjust your wrist to see the time, if your lucky and you are not in low light. I have a cheap Chinese S shock with the same black LCD that is much easier to read.

Choose a different G shock model unless you truly want this particular military look, but keep in mind the sun still reflects of the screen like a mirror no matter what model you choose. Get the new module 3230 the calendar is updated to work till 2099 not 2039 like the older mod.

I loved this watch when I got it around 2010. Unfortunately I lost it in 2014 leaving it in a fitting room. I always wanted another one but could never find it in malls. Then finally I thought about eBay and boom! Found it.

I think that the G-Shock Military Series (DW-6900MS-1) is a great watch. It’s good for everyday use which means it’s a tough watch (I work in shipping & I wear it all the time). I also love the infrared coloring but it can be tough to read in low lighting.

That would really be my only complaint.

My husband has this watch and he loves Casio so I can leave a pretty accurate review of this Casio Men’s AQS800WD-1EV Slim Solar Multi-Function Analog-Digital Watch. This watch is great. product and price! The silver color allowed my husband to wear it with suits to the office without looking awkward as when wearing typical black sports watches.

This Casio is a lot lighter in weight than it appears, a trait that he personally likes but others won’t. It keeps good time and the solar (light) power feature continues to work fine. He has worn it regularly in the shower, in pools and the ocean and have not experienced any problems with leakage or fogging that other reviews have reported.

Great job Casio, another winner!.

Overall i am satisfied with the watch. I am a major supporter of the G-shock brand given my day to day activities and the durability of their brand. However, i was not completely satisfied with this particular model for 2 reasons.

The band and casing has a glossy tint and extremely light-weight feel to it, both of which discourages rugged use. It is more of a casual dress occasion which is not what i entirely purchased it for.

Secondly, the display is very dim and a little hard to read without holding it at the right angle. But overall, it is a good watch to order if you have a specific type of attire in mind but not for everyday use.

The promotional ‘Photos’ and ‘Videos’ make this watch look great, but in reality its poor. Its so difficult to read the time because the hands of the watch just blend into the background, its almost impossible to read the digital displays.

Personally, I’m disappointed with this watch, and would not recommend it. In truth I wish I’d gone for a refund. Delivery from Watch Shop was really quick. Cheers Bernie.

Much as expected – well made and comfortable. Stays fully charged even though it is winter and I am indoors a lot of the time. Picks up the time signal reliably. The buttons are heavily recessed but one quickly gets used to them.

The only real fault is the lack of volume of the alarm. I can just about hear it if I am using the timer but there is no way it would wake me up. It is baffling why a watch with the macho name of “G-Shock” should whisper so self-effacingly.

Apart from this it is a great watch and should “see me out” (I am 75).

These really are great watches. Bought three of them, one for myself and two for family as gifts, and they are just so good at what they do – telling the time, robust, shock proof and fully water proof with auto updates and world wide time zone settings, and solar powered too, so no battery to worry about.

Has sensible features, stop watch, count down timer and five alarm settings, great facial display and amazing back light that puts some light sabres to shame. I always wanted one when they first came out in the 80’s – so feel i have waited long enough a time – lol, very stylish and a timeless classic that looks good and goes with anything anywhere.

Casio really do make good watches, much better in my opinion, than the more expensive fashion high end brands, in fact I think they are the kings of time. buy one, wear it, use and enjoy it forever, you wont go wrong with a Casio watch.

This watch is awesome. It’s practically zero maintenance, it’s the most accurate watch out there and it is classic. I can’t say it’s indestructible because I have broken one of these watches after performing a ‘sales pitch’ bit by spiking it into concrete as hard as I could.

That being said, I spiked it three times consecutively and I didn’t think it would break, because I had done that very same thing probably a dozen times before. So, it’s durable. Very durable. If you need a watch that is almost life proof, this is the watch.

Lightweight, rugged, classy, easy to manipulate, easy to wear, easy to read, accurate, utilitarian and very well made.

The robust solar power is a great function, and not many sports watch come with it. The power saving mode is a great feature and it’s going to expand the lifespan of the battery. The functionality of the watch continues with the ability to set four alarms daily and a snooze function.

The watch is huge but very comfortable to wear. The best reliable option for anyone looking for a robust, sturdy, long lasting, and water resistant G-Shock that handles any tactical jobs just fine.

G-Shock watches offer the best in quality, style, and utility. This one is no exception, and I really like its all black look. Solar power is a nice plus. It’s very large so it may not be comfortable for those who prefer a small watch, but it is fine for me, and I have small wrists.

I get the odd G-Shock for eveyrday when I am not going to put my main dress watch on. Also I was born in the 70’s so all you millenials reading this. not only did you miss out on the dedaces that influence so much of what you wear today but we were there for the first rounds of the Casio.

Were Michael Knight talking into our calculator watches, lost you already I guess 😉 Back to google for you then. It has all the looks and feels then tuned up even more of what Casio do so well. The little details but done nicely.

You get a hmmm from just looking at it and for under £100 that’s job done. I prefer the ‘stealth faces’ and this one is perfection. My other is a Casio G-Shock 35th Anniversary DW-D5500BB-1 totally nailed it with that design too, so this using hands and a more upgraded face layout warranted the got to have this now factor kicking in immediately.

The strap is slightly shorter than my other one which is proned to catching, but yu can work around that I’m sure. The only thing that’s not as tidy with its execution is the backlight. When you engage the light the little digital screen is nice and bright, but the light also doubles up to light up the face of the watch.

Well it doesn’t. It’s not at the rigth height and angle to do that and lights up your bedroom instead. It casts a shadow across the watch face but has not been thought through as to light the face up properly.

They fell short with design capability there. The rest of the watch is detail perfect and I have no regrets buying it.

An attractive design, solid construction, not absurdly large (as so many G-shocks can be), not laughably over-designed and festooned in bolt-heads, comfortable to wear, and both looks and feels more expensive than it is.

Two negatives: battery change has to be done in a jewellers (yes, technically you COULD do it; But I advise you not to) and secondly the digital display is tiny and quite hard to see, in any light, damned near impossible in poor light, so if you really intend to use the 5 alarms, count down and stopwatch alot, there are other Casio designs out there with much larger, clearer and more immediately legible displays (some of them significantly less expensive than this design); There is reason to believe, incidentally, that in this particular range (ga-2100) this blue one may be the worst for this.

Still recommended.

I am a watch guy. I have 2 Watch boxes. Each box has two drawers and both boxes are completely full. I also own a Suunto Core watch. I am military. I loved the features of that watch. That was, until I bought my Casio G shock Mudmaster.

This watch is terrible if you are a watch guy. It has become the only damn watch I wear and that’s terrible. Especially if you have boxes full of watches. I never liked digital or smart watches. I am a true aficionado of analog watches.

This watch is the best of both worlds it combines analog and digital and still looks ruggedly awesome. it is an amazingly great all-around watch. Suddenly just having a beautiful time piece on my wrist does not cut it anymore.

This watch has it all. it even looks ruggedly good to wear with a suit on. The features on this watch put my Suunto Core to shame. The bar graph for the barometer, is excellent. The dedicated compass button on this watch and the compass feature is amazing well thought out watch.

Enough about this watch from me. You want more about this watch. Then get your own Casio G shock Mudmaster. it will become, the only watch you will want to wear. Semper Fi.

Huge fan of G-SHOCK watches and have had a few. During my search, the ones I found had some of the functions I wanted but not all of them until the one. I like the big face and big numbers, it also has a big band to go around my big wrist.

Love the watch!.

I have to say it, it smells soooo bad of cheap perfume, and its like infused into the band. I cant have it in any of my watch cases and i put an honour in to wearing it in any situation that could wear out some of the smell.

Anyways im happy for my buy, ill make it smell like man soon enough.

I ordered the Casio G-Shock GD350-1B (black face with yellow text) online to pick up from store. The Wal-Mart web page said there were 2 of the GD350-1B in stock at my local store. When I picked it up, it was the GD350-1 (white face with black letters).

Both the ones that were in stock were only the -1 (not the -1B). The website does NOT reflect what is in stock. I wanted the black face one. Will use Amazon next time.

The Casio G-SHOCK GD400-1B2 watch, black and blue, from my point of view, has optimal functionality, excellent readability of indications and is perfectly protected from mechanical damage.

Excellent watch, fits perfectly without any problems and functions fully with ease. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone, thus is a quality watch.

Really great looking watch that functions with classic Casio quality and precision. Love the chunky size, it is a big watch but wears easily and comfortably. Nice and light but definitely a lot of wrist presence.

The blue toned light function is a thing of beauty and the lume is excellent and fit for purpose. This black with green strap combo is the nicest, in my opinion but the other versions may be more to others’ taste (black and grey with red accents, and I think a black with black version.

) Bought the watch as a super tough daily wear for working outside, at the gym after work and camping, outdoorsy stuff at weekends. It is perfect for this and takes everything in its stride. Too many functions to mention; the lack of second hand bothers some people but it is fine by me, it keeps the dial clearer; bit of a faff to set up as I’m a G shock newb but youtube vids proved very helpful.

Think the watch is worth the money; and the function to set the time using atomic radio is super cool, the cheaper GSG version doesn’t have this function. Solar powered battery is also very cool. All in all, delighted with it and would totally recommend.

Having had this watch on my wrist for a couple of months now I can say that I am mildly disappointed with its general operation. Firstly my negative observations:- Despite placing it in direct sunshine/daylight for an hour every morning from day one, which should keep its solar battery completely topped up, it very quickly loses its charge during the day and, for the most part, indicates that it is only moderately charged up.

I find this concerning especially since the manufacturers claim it will run in total darkness for several months. Secondly, one of the main reasons I bought this watch was for its ability to display time/day/date/month with atomic accuracy.

Although this is true, I have found that it is very difficult to glance at and immediately be able to read the dials because they are deeply recessed and the numbers/letters are very dimly highlighted.

To obtain the details required, the watch has to be twisted and held at certain angles for the natural light to shine on it which is very irritating. Thirdly, at night, when the brief highlight facility operates, its display is totally confusing because it also highlights bars at the quarter hours.

These bars tend to get confused with the hands of the watch. When the light goes out after a couple of seconds, invariably, I am still no wiser as to the time. Again, very irritating. My positive comments are that the watch itself is very robust as claimed by the manufacturers and, from my point of view, extremely accurate being regulated by the atomic clock.

I can only say that, if there could be an improvement on my negative comments, the watch would certainly be a superb timepiece.

Replacement for a well battered and well used 14 year old G-Shock. Wanted a watch that could cope with an often dark work environment without the need to press buttons to tell the time as well as one that could cope with the dust.

Did have a concern about the bracelet. Pros: a lot lighter than ‘old’ G-Shock. Bracelet very sturdy (double pronged – not single pronged as most buckles are) and will well outlast a metal one in appearance.

Cons: has gone down in price since I bought it. C’est la vie, On my wrist within 20 hours of ordering. Informed at every stage of order process. Excellent (5/5) customer service. Down to taste whether a watch is 5/5 as always something you would wish to alter over time (I’ll just have to buy another later if my taste changes) but has all the functions and more that I require.

If this watch gives me the same service as ‘old’ G-Shock it will prove a bargain.

As a collector I am lucky enough to have a number of these limited edition g-shocks, including the Rainbow Toad, Lunar Rainbow and Volcanic Rainbow. Whilst all of these other watches are fantastic in their own rights, the Blue Phoenix – quite simply – is at another level.

The bezel and case come alive in different light conditions, but the way that the blue applied indices, hands, and sub dial surrounds reflect light is simply stunning – like nothing I’ve ever seen on a watch.

It really does look like blue flames and you find yourself looking at the watch because of this, not just to tell what time it is. The watch is not for the shy, being 55mm across, it demands attention – but in a good way rather than ostentatiously.

Something that may, or may not, appeal to you is the fact that you are unlikely to bump into anyone else wearing one – these will not be a common sight on people’s wrists. This last point leads to my final comment (thank goodness I hear you say), there are not many watches at this price point that are likely to increase in value quite as quickly as these limited edition g-shocks.

In essence if you can buy one, try it out and do not get on with the size, you are unlikely to lose money if you move the watch on. If you are considering buying a Blue Phoenix, I wouldn’t dither for too long.

I’ve always been a fan of G-SHOCKs and have a few Casioaks which are brilliant. Truthfully I was wondering if £1k on a G-SHOCK would be too much for price vs quality. Having said that I’m so glad I pulled the trigger on this amazing watch Firstly, build quality and feel is brilliant and the watch feels and looks premium.

It is fantastically well put together with the prefect weight. This watch feels and looks as good as much more expensive watches in my collection. If anything, this watch under a different brand would command a much higher price.

Secondly looks wise, WOW. The pictures just don’t do this watch justice. It is so much better looking in the flesh. The blueing of the metal is amazing and just perfect – in certain lights is very dark but in others pops brilliantly.

The sapphire Crystal just adds to the premium feel. It’s definitely not a shy watch and I wouldn’t wear with a suit but it works superbly with everything else. With the good weather in the uk currently it pairs brilliantly with a T-shirt and shorts Thirdly- size.

I was worried that it would be too big. On paper it’s a meaty watch. Up there with the biggest and thickest. But you don’t need to worry. On my 17. 5cm wrist if has presence but is not oversized. My normal dailies are 42mm divers and this while at the larger end still sits nicely in that diver size category- it definitely doesn’t wear as big as 51mm would suggest and the thickness is in proportion.

Overall this is currently my favourite watch. I kept holding off buying as thought it would be too much size wise and too loud. If you are in the same boat, my advice is don’t wait buy now! Ultimately at some point it will go out of stock and IMHO this watch will always at least hold its value as it is so unique.

Since my purchase of the first G shock Rainbow series watch : MTG-B1000RB-2AER. I then carry on to collect the other models in the Rainbow Colour Series : MTG-B1000VL-4AER , GWF-A1000BRT-1AER , GM-110RB-2AER and now MTG-B2000PH-2AER.

If you are a fan of colourful watches you will love them all. G shock solar power watches all have great functions and accuracy connection to satellite. However it is the ‘ Extraordinary ‘ eye catching colours which attract me most.

Which I believe for those who have purchased this model will share the same thought too. I wonder if G shock will produce more models base on rest of the RB colours in the future i. e. red , orange , yellow , Indigo and Violet.

This watch is great for any outdoor activity you have in mind. Very tough, cool looking, very legible, tons of functions. Much improved in fit and size over my previous Mudmaster. Only issue – absolutely terrible packing job by REI.

The box was just thrown in a shipping bag, and arrived with the out box crushed, the inner metal box bent and open, and the watch flopping around loose in the bag. Thanks goodness it’s also plastic wrapped and a very tough item, but when shipping an $800 watch a LITTLE care could be shown REI!.

I Never Thought I Would Own Such a Watch. This Time Piece Has it All. Elevation, BaroMetric, Temp, Compass, Very Accurate Time Keeping, So Much Adjustments in Every Mode, Calibrate All of Above to Your Liking.

It’s Beautiful, Tough as it Gets, And Most of All, Sapphire Crystal, That was the Deal Breaker, If Your Going to Spend the Money, Has to Have Sapphire. I Have Tested All of the Readings that the Watch Has and after Calibration of Them All, They are Very Accurate.

For a big watch, its very light and comfortable to wear everyday. And it looks amazing too. Pictures dont do it justice, and when the light hits the watch in certain ways – it looks stunning. Functionality is there, as expected for a Mudmaster.

One of the best watches I own.

I have recently started my G-Shock square collection. No collection, no collector, could be without the 35th anniversary model! This beautiful wrist candy is the closest model I have to the original 1983 DW5000C, currently made in “unobtainium”! Yes! The DW 5035D-1BJR does have the same exact characteristics of the $35 Walmart model, dw5600, but this is exactly why you want it! The same features as the original.

Nothing more nothing less! The engraved gold case back, DLC COATED, stainless steel case, gold accents, as well as the shimmering dial, make this one a beautiful collector piece! I would definitely recommend the seller as well as the product!!.

Absolutely stunning colour I love it, definitely more of a coppery bronze but it compliments my beloved gold B5000D perfectly. It looks so good under different lighting conditions and really pops in sunlight.

The build quality is excellent and it has such a nice weight and feel to it, same as my gold B5000 which i’ve worn daily for almost 4 years and is admittedly still my favourite, but only by a fraction.

I’m a huge fan of these full metals.

This watch has cool little features, such as 4 time zones, with the standard timer, stopwatch, and alarms. Still, Casio, as it has on most of its watches, has reverse the adjustment buttons with the upper R button adjusting down and the lower R button adjust up.

At this point that will never be fixed. The biggest disappointment: The light. It is a dim lower left LED light. very grim and not electro luminescent backlight. I was fooled by the misleading Illuminator mark at the lower center.

This should have been a hard pass. I shopped too fast and now it will be a return with a loss in my shipping cost (20% of my total).

Very nice watch with many great features you wont find in many digital watches. Solar powered means no replacing batteries and atomic time accuracy means no setting the time and its always correct. I only had to select which time zone I needed and the watch set the correct time.

I also liked the auto light illumination setting that turns on the backlight when you turn your wrist. Now what I didnt like was how small the numbers were on the display. Casio watches seem to have a lot of unnecessary bullsh** on the screen and sacrifice display area for a smaller time display.

I get a watch so I can see what time it is and maybe a quick reminder of what the date is. I prefer larger displays that can be read without my reading glasses on. I highly recommend this watch, but make sure you have glasses on if you use reading glasses, because the display is taken up by stuff you cant even read without a magnifying glass.

This is a great product for the price. But there are reasons for the price reduction. The band is just a bit snug. My other Gshock band is just a bit longer and more comfortable. The real issue is the size of this three gages across the top of the screen.

Fortunately, the big one can be read but it only indicates each passing second. The seconds are indicated numerically in the main screen so this extra gizmo is redundant and mostly useless. The next one is the amount of charge on the battery.

It cannot be read without a magnifier. But since the battery will power the watch FOR 10 MONTHS on a single charge, you dont need to read this very often if ever. The last gage is also too tiny to read with the unaided eye.

This one indicates reception of the radio signal that maintains the correct time. This feature is also indicated by the radio dish antenna below it so it is also redundant. The good news is the large numbers indicating time are easy to read and the internal backlight works great and that is the main reason I bought this watch.

These are the best watches ever IMO. I have owned about 18 of them. Some I gave away to friends who needed a watch. These watches last forever and I swear they are the best watches ever. My friends say I have never seen you without your Casio watch on.

I like the way the stainless steel rim around the crystal protects the crystal from scratches and damage. The watch is very comfortable to wear. The price is right as they last forever. I have NEVER had one fail or disappoint.

I highly recommend these watches. You won’t regret getting one.

Because this watch was also made as a military, special ops, covert ops, etc. type of watch. That’s why it’s mostly all subdued, except for the hands. For cover and concealment, light discipline, black out ops, or any other mission or assignment where you don’t wanna wear a watch that will reflect light , or give off any type of glow.

It’s not because the engineers mistakenly didn’t design the display or indicating functions too dark; it was design this way or purpose. It’s a perfect watch for this, and also for any person who wants a tough, tactical, rugged, badass, yet inexpensive watch made for everyone.

If you’re concern is too read the functions easy, then there are many other series for that. I just wanted to comment because after reading about 20 comments, half were complaints only about the watch being a little difficult to read.

Shake it off fellas, and buy a bright Micky Mouse watch if you want an easy to read one. This is for the person that is used to difficult situations; and in the case of military ops, being difficult to read could (and probably has before) save lives.

firstly I’m not so sure about the product spec here is accurate when they state about the vibration resistance which i thought is only the mudmaster, plus I thought professional diving includes scuba which I don’t think this does.

Featured Victorinox INOX, G-Shock GPR-B1000-1ER Rangeman, G-Shock MRG-G2000CB-1ADR, Garmin Fenix 5x pro. This post is about the Rangeman, my review is if you want it for the tracking navigation ability you may end up being highly disappointed, its VERY sluggish and very basic, if you want it to be super tough I’d look rather at just a mudmaster.

My pros about the watch Large display on basic, I love when i happen to have my smart phone on me (which is rare) and navigation is on the rangeman that when I randomly took photos that they appear on the route that I was on, this was noticed when I checked the gshock app at my days activites (my Garmin Fenix 5x didn’t have that auto feature but can do it manually ) another pro it’s got sapphire glass (unlike the mudmaster GWG-1000-1A1ER) and GPS on the watch without using the smartphone.

It’s more than likely tougher than the Fenix 5x. and Solar power. However Cons. If I was in the middle of nowhere with a choice of watch that’s maybe the only place that the tracking feature and GPS would be of slight use as in better than nothing, its daft thinking would a smartphone be necessary? as I’d rather rely on the smartphone on its own.

The back-light is ridiculously dim. Scroll wheel doesn’t keep back-light on in dark too see what you are doing! (someone claims the sound off on Watch and it will do it, well it’s certainly isn’t doing it on my watch!) And you want to look on your past activities all it shows is a bunch of numbers on the watch and dates without you having a clear easy Image or login for you to press a past activity to do it again.

Feels like they just threw this concept together! I hope the watch can receive future software updates like the fenix 5x does, that way they can improve the watch and show respect to buyers by them not having to buy another newer improvement to the model Ceramic back will not take a bashing like steel back if the watch fell on say a rock from a height.

(my opinion) Not as good looking as the mudmaster. Cannot rival Fenix 5x pro let alone the 6xpro to get tout out of a crisis in middle of nowhere, you may actually get even more lost!. Do i regret buying it? nope as its more future proof than the mudmaster, and I never got it for reasons I have my fenix, i just got it as a gshock that will change times on its own as I change countries and for the large display and its better than nothing tracking.

I notice they use garmin for maps but its the most mediocre maps that garmin gave, not the highest end colour etc GPS ones All rounder the fenix 5x pro is the better watch in one. However a gshock is a G-Shock and they are my favourite brand 🤗.

I have 5 G Shock watches. This includes the old Frogman and the new analog one, and the old Rangeman (green with negative display) and this new one. I had concerns about the size of the new Rangeman, but it is the most comfortable of all 5 that I have, so it is the one I wear the most.

Fantastic watch, and the navigation system works perfectly. I used it on a route I was already familiar with, and it was spot on. It works like the old “pluggers” we used back in the 90s, so I had a basic understanding on how to use it.

Man, if I had such a watch in the 80s and 90s in The Republic of Panama!! Very durable, useful, and comfortable. It is large, but it is not heavy. Highly recommend. From what I hear, Casio has discontinued it, so it will be a collectors item in the future.
