20 Best Furniture Material For Cats (2023 Updated)

I bought one of these towers about 2 years ago when I first moved into a new apartment to give my tree-dweller cat another napping option. It was love at first jump with her! Now we have two cats that are about 8 pounds each and they both love it! The scratcher post part is pretty shredded from regular use, the middle levels have never been used at all, and the top is both of their favorite spot to hang out.

Other reviews saying that the product is unstable – I have not noticed that at all. My two frequently use it for “cat games” where they chase each other up and down. I’m actually on the site now to buy another one to put in a different window because they love it so much.

I bought two of these for my travel carriers for my two cats! One cat is OK with it, but the other sleeps on it all the time even when not in the carrier and traveling! I put it on a chair for him to sleep in and that keeps the cat hair off the furniture!.

We already have the stackable cat cube which our cats love. We wanted an extra cushion for it as each cat cube only has one cushion per cube. Our cats love the extra cushion we bought for them and started using it as soon as we unboxed it!.

I don’t understand it, the cat is too small for this bed, and yet, she’s obsessed with it. it’s super soft and she squishes herself in to it. (that said, she’s small, and this bed is small)

I’ve had this tree for 2 months for my now 5 month old kitten. She is a ragdoll that’s almost 6 lbs but seems to be the size of your average house cat. Pros: The tree is very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.

It was very easy to put together, and took 30min. It feels high quality and well made, and I have no doubts of it being able to handle the zoomies! The removable pads feel sturdy and are easy to clean, and it is easy to wipe down all other surfaces.

Cons: She has easily taken one of the balls off of the hanging feature. She also struggles to get down from the top onto the box, and often topples over and lands on the floor when trying to come down.

The top of the box has a small circular sisal mat, but no cover for the remaining area. This has caused her to slip several times, and made her wary of jumping on it. I added some clear grip tape around the edges where there’s no pad, and this helped a bunch! It’s still easy to wipe down and clean, and adds additional traction for my kitten.

A beautiful cat scratcher! Sleek and of very high quality. My British Blue has several cat posts, as we all know they love their favourites until they are looking quite old and shredded. I also love this cat scratcher as it is solid and cannot be knocked over when Charlie does his infamous run, and loves his scratchers hitting glass and landing on the floor.

Delivery was very reliable, and product cheaper than other stores especially considering this cat scratchers longevity. Love it.

One kitty who uses her claws on my lounge chair, the other kitty puts everything in his mouth. I was concerned that Tucker might chew the screws. He hasn’t! Olivia has given up trying to claw my chair & has returned to her many scratching posts.

The only problem I have with this is that there are not more size options. I have only one piece of furniture out of 3 that Clawguard does not buckle and I have more coming. Also, it would be nice if there were larger pieces for the underside of couches and chairs, so that thin fabric used for areas not viewed could be protected.

I was looking for a cat tree that didn’t have carpet because my cats tear up carpeted cat trees within a few months. I saw the Refined Feline Lotus 69-in Microfiber Cat Tree and decided after some thought to give it a try.

It took about 10 days to arrive but I was pleased to see that it was double boxed. It was packed very well and was surprised at how many parts there were. Every thing I needed to assemble, it including a screwdriver, came packaged in the box.

I spent approx and hour unpacking and assembling it. It is made of real wood and is strong and slightly heavy. The cushions and removable berber carpet pieces and really excellent. The finished product is sturdy yet beautiful.

The only negative thing is the wood screw covers do not fit tightly and fall out easily but I will fix that. My cats were not sure what to do with it at first within a day several had it figured out.

My little girl, Chaos, loves to rest/sleep at the very top as if she is the queen of the castle. I never expected to spend this much on a cat tree but I am hoping for many great years with this one. So far I am very pleased with it.

I have to say that this is aesthetically pleasing and very solid, my cats like it but the two things I wish are this. 1. I wish it was a bit more sturdy. When my cat come jumping on it it shakes and makes me have to hold it in place to ease my mind that she isn’t going to get hurt while doing what cats love to do best.

She is 12 lbs and it always concerns me that it’s going to give under her momentum. Maybe if there was a way to anchor it? Something anything to just ensure she is 100% safe and it won’t wiggle on her as she jumps and climbs.

Beautiful piece of furniture. Looks lovely in our home. Pretty sturdy considering it’s structure, although if they jump from the top you can see it wobble up there, while the bottom is still very steady at the same time so there is no way this would actually topple over.

If only the cats understood this. We are still having issues with getting the cats to go up higher than the first “shelf”, and they used to love the cradle of their old cat tree. I have tried enticing them with their Da’ Bird and that’s not even working.

I’ve spread catnip all over the entire cat tower, put catnip spray on the scratcher along the tall vertical scratcher, and so far the only thing that interests them is the bottom enclosure and that first “shelf” I have actually picked them up several times and put them on each and every section of this cat tower and given them toys there, petted them, etc.

, and as soon as I let them go, off they jump. One more thing, and this is concerning putting it together. There are plugs to cover up all screws, but they are too small. They just fall out. The bottoms are sticky, but aren’t long enough to stick to anything so are pretty useless.

I think maybe if I apply good old Elmer’s glue to the entire underside of them MAYBE I can get them to stay in but not sure. It isn’t a problem for us to have them not plugged, so we may just leave them as is.

I love the black pattern. It’s soft and plush. The problem is it’s super top heavy. For kittens it would be great, but my chonky kitties toppled the thing over every time they tried to climb aboard. Also, the assembly was more troublesome than you’d imagine for something relatively small.

This is a beautiful and decorative “personal bathroom” for my cat Rosalie! I am very impressed by the quality of the product. I was quite puzzled at first when I received it because of the whole package that had to be put together.

I am a 66-year-young lady with not manual abilities so, it took me a whole 4. 5 hours to put together by myself. However, the instructions were well presented but if you are not a visual person, then, it is quite a challenge.

Friggin gem! Zero smell or litter mess ever again. This is the BEST price you’ll ever spend. I can’t believe the price. Feels like real wood, heavy and sturdy. Make sure to pick up an aluminum litter tray, we bought a large aluminum BBQ style tray dish, about 4 inches deep and 2 feet wide for one cat.

Makes cleaning fuss-free. Only thing reflected in this price is you have to build the entire thing. I’m extremely handy with building furniture but if you’ve never done it this will take a solid hour or two.

Two people would be best for assembly as it is roughly 50 pieces / screws. You’ll need a screwdriver set.

We were surprised that the cat condo arrived nearly all put together. Only the top bed needed to be attached, which required tightening four screws. Easy peasy. Our rescue kitty took to it immediately (a little sprinkle cat nip helped entice her) and has now claimed it as her throne.

It’s sturdy, but not too heavy if you want to move it around, and well constructed. My only concern is that the bottom two cat beds are nearly atop one another, forcing your perplexed cat to contort in a nearly vertical manner in order to go up or down those levels.

Incorrect product sent [wrong colour and pattern]

Giving this two stars for the extremely easy instructions. All materials were well separated and labeled in the box and additional tools weren’t needed. Unfortunately, the design/layout is poor. It’s nearly impossible for your little one to get to the second shelf.

It’s a bit hard to describe, but that second shelf is actually attached at diagonal. So it’s right over the 1st shelf. If my little one tries to hop up onto the second shelf, she has to get on top of the house, do a kind of back bend and pull herself up on the maybe inch of space left for her to do so.

Also, quite wobbly and shelving is not covered underneath (looks a bit tacky from a sitting position).

It does work, easy assembly but does wobble. Roomate thinks it wobbles because it’s very tall, so we later pushed it into the corner with a arm weight to hold it more steady. I do worry it’s a tad small for larger cats, but I currently have a 4 month old cat and he’s doing ok so far.

My 6 month old kittens are having a great time with this cat tree! It’s more like a playground since I have 3 nutty cats! They love all the levels and the attached toy has remained intact after 5 days of constant attention! We shall see how long it can hang in there! The tree was very easy to put together, did all by myself! It was an immediate attraction to my new kitties.

They love and use all the scratching posts to my delight! Now if it could just keep them away from my furniture I will be a happy camper! Love the black color and the stripes, gives it that unique “not your typical bland” cat tree look.

I bought this cat tree after moving into a new house and needing one with a smaller footprint with the new living space layout. Our bigger (also excellent Frisco) cat tree is now the downstairs option and this cat tree is the upstairs option.

This tree being built simply vertically without any perches sticking out makes it easy to fit anywhere. I love how attractive it is in my space – fits beautifully in with decor. And my cats absolutely LOVE it! A typical day sees one cat in the top basket, and the other cat in the hammock.

They love to hang out, watch out of the window, and take a nap on their pretty tree. Both use the scratching posts frequently as well. My oldest cat is around 13-14 lbs and the younger one is 11-12 lbs.

No issues with wobbling even with both on it at the same time. As others have noted – this cat tree is to be assembled from the top down, meaning you will assemble it upside down and then flip it over when done.

Assembly was quick and easy, and it was also easy to flip over and move where needed.

Purchased this for the bedroom but didn’t want something too bulky. This beautiful tower is streamlined and looks very elegant! Perfect for looking out the window at the birds and the beds are deep and roomy enough for my cats (between 6 and 12lbs).

It is soft and sturdy for the most part. It wobbles a teeny bit if they jump in from a chair or the bed but never in danger of toppling. The cats really love the cushions especially. Has held up well to dirt and fur so far as well! Would recommend.

My cat absolutely loves it. She’s in it every morning watching people and birds. It’s a perfect height for her to be able to see all the “action” in the parking lot. It did take her a few days to figure out how to get in the top bed but she figured it out.

She even figured out the hammock (she has the Trixie wall set and is terrified of the hammock). I would recommend it.

I ordered this for my senior German Shepherd. She loves it! Just beware of the Caramel color, it’s not beige it’s peach, that’s the reason I took one star off. I just decided to throw a blanket over to cover it.

I did end up ordering another because my other two German Shepherds and two cats fell in love with it as well. I went with the same awful color because leather just wouldn’t fly in this house but I’ll just cover it as well.

It seems to be well built and it’s super easy to put together. I would definitely recommend it but not the Caramel, unless peach would go fine with your decor.

The bed looked good. I have two pit bulls and was hoping they would not tear it up because it looks like real furniture. It was fine for about two weels, until a toenail poked a small hole in the cushion.

Then they started tearing the cushion apart. I guess it would be okay for small dogs who can’t poke holes in it, but it was definitely a fail for me.

Bed looks nice, but is soo hard! What was supposed to be the best bed (and the most expensive) was the worst! It gave my dog bed sores!!! Added 2″ of memory foam, still fighting the poor dog’s bed sores and vet bills! Most expensive bed ever!!!! Do not buy, unless your dog has lots of fur or fat, and enjoys laying on a hard surface! Or better yet, steer clear of this bed!.
