20 Best Full Face Scuba Mask (2023 Updated)

I really like the mask. Unfortunately I have a smallish adult head face and even with measuring it was hard to get a perfect fit. I measured at the medium but it had just a small trickle at the forehead even with tightening so I ordered the smaller size and it is slight small.

I suspect I just have that unique face shape and small head size. I’m still practicing with the masks in the swimming pool to decide which one I’m going to take in my trip. I will definitely use it even with imperfect fit I can see well and the trickle is just minimal and doesn’t really interfere with seeing or breathing.

I bought one for my daughter and she hasn’t had a chance to try it out yet. I suspect it will fit her better. We are excited to use them on our trip.

I have always hated traditional snorkel masks/tubes because they 1. Hurt the bridge of my nose 2. Never would properly seal because i have a well trimmed goatee 3. I always have a sore jaw from biting down on the breathing tube bit.

The Seaview system addressed all thise issues and more. It was strange at first breathing through my nose and mouth while snorkeling, but after a few minutes, it was much easier to breathe and stay out longer while snorkeling.

I researched a bunch of full face models and the quality of the Wildhorn products, the customer service responsiveness, and easy sizing made this a great choice for my wife and I.

Ordered 5 for a family vacation. This was the first time our kids went to the beach and didn’t want to get out of the water. Usually after an hour or two our kids are begging to go to the pool, not this trip.

Granted we were in the Caribbean and the water was really clear and calm but there is no way they would have stayed in as long with a traditional snorkel and mask. I know from personal experience a traditional snorkel and mask can take some getting used to and you are almost guaranteed at some point to swallow some sea water.

My kids are 11 and 9 and had no problem using their Seaview masks. My wife commented several times throughout the week how grateful she was that I bought the masks, as it provided hours of entertainment for our kids.

One day we spent about 2 hours snorkeling together over several reefs and my daughter, who’s 9, said she was getting a headache, so we took about 10 or 15 minute break then she went right back to it.

I think I may have had the mask pulled a little too tight and the pressure was giving her a headache, which is understandable after wearing it for nearly an hour straight. I was also skeptical of how well it would work on me and I thought I may have to shave, as I have a short beard, like #2 guard short, but I didn’t have any problems.

I would highly recommend these to anyone traveling to the beach with kids.

My partner and I bought each a mask for our snorkeling trip, but we were deeply disappointed because we could hardly breath with it. The design of the mask is pretty and you can see very clearly with it, but you don’t get enough air so in the end is useless.

We tried to use them for the first 2 days of our trip but afterwards stopped because we felt out of breath everytime we tried it, and we were not swimming much or anything, it was in a shallow very calm part of the ocean, so we wouldn’t recommend this product, we actually regret buying it.

This is a great mask for snorkeling. No fog, which is amazing! Easy breathing and full vision. Diving down for short bits and up to about 2 meters is fine. I also purchased the prescription insert which worked a treat.

The only cons are that it has quite significant and uncomfortable face pressure when using for more than an hour at one time. It’s also a little tricky to look down with you chin on your chest as the tube blocks up with the anti-fill mechanism, so you can’t breathe that way.

This is a great mask if you are satisfied with floating on top of the water. Great vision, easy to breathe, but I only had it on for 15 minutes so not sure about breathing ones own carbon dioxide Issues.

However, if you are like me and want to dive down and get a closer look at the reef and its critters. this is not the mask for you. It fills with water upon surfacing and the pressure on your face is very uncomfortable.

Ive tried both L/XL and M/S thinking that I bought the wrong size. Nope they both do it. So if you just want to stay on top and not dive down. Great mask. If not then stay with your traditional mask and snorkel.

Bottom strap is so short I can’t get the thing over my head making the assembly useless to me. No quality assurance here. Send me replacement straps and maybe it will get more stars. What’s with the printing all over the face.

It was nice to leave a little space to be able to see if I could get it over my head.

This was my first buying experience on DiveInn. The mask is a high-quality product. It exelently fits to my face and works perfectly. I’m very satisfied with a purchase. Hope to deal with DiveInn again.

I bought two these for our trip to Jamaica and they were not at all what we expected. Putting them together was easy and straightforward and I looked at their instructional video as well. The first thing that we noticed was how quickly they lose their seal.

I don’t care if we tightened the straps as tight as we could they still leaked water into the mask, lots of water…quickly. To add to this the snorkel requires you to breathe really hard, so hard that my wife went back to the boat to use her nebulizer because the hard breathing aggravated her asthma.

The guides gave her a traditional snorkel and she was fine after that. I opted to continue with my Reef snorkel and continuously having to clear mine of water on top of the difficultly breathing ruined my experience.

I returned them both as soon as we returned from our trip.

I was right on the line between the M/L and L/XL so took both home to try. The smaller size was a better fit. I use the mask for snorkelling in Scotland and it works brilliantly for days I don’t fancy my normal mask and snorkel and am staying near the surface, I can dive down a little with it on but not far.

It is comfortable, really easy to breath with little or no fogging and the wild field of vision is really nice. The snorkel is easy to get on and off the mask and the bag it comes with is a welcome addition for storing it, particularly to protect the lense.

I use the mask with a hood and it took a bit of figuring out how to get that to work. Pulling the edge of the hood out round the outside of the mask seal does the job nicely and I think this may be a good combination in the winter when the water is really cold – no more brain freeze! It’s a great mask and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the price.

The Ocean Reef Aria QR+ is a great full face snorkeling mask. I’m currently in Hurghada Egypt and the mask is very comfortable to wear with no steaming up like other masks. The price is a bit high but well worth it.

I feel safe using this mask and soon will be buying one for my son. I’m also getting looks from other snorkelers and swimmers. Highly recommended, great buy.

The mask is an excellent way to dive especially if you (like me are a nose breather) and want the ability to communicate underwater or with your surface support team. overall great mask (as are all ocean reef masks: Neptune Gdivers, SPACE EXTENDER, predator extender and raptor models).

Best full face mask on the market. All the features are practical and user-friendly. Highest quality materials. We all went snorkeling and we all had different brands. After trying my mask, all agreed, this is the best and this is the best compliment I can give.

This mask makes me want to dive. I wasn?t enjoying diving as much as I thought I would due to a leaky, foggy mask I was fitted for at my local DS. It was a Shadow mask and the instructor fitting me didn?t take his time to see that my nose was hard-pressed against the shallow nose pocket.

So after doing much research I bought the Freedom Elite and it changed everything. No leaks at all, not a drop. Very comfortable- the silicone is as good or better than advertised. Huge field of view.

I prepped the mask with the lighter method and used defogger and no issues fogging at all. Love the easy adjust straps. No dislikes at all. Worth the price. I have a narrow face and smaller sized head and it fits perfect.

In July (24), 2015, I bought my Tusa FREEDOM HD mask as a replacement for my the discontinued Tusa ‘Visualator’. As always, I replaced the factory black silicone strap with the ubiquitous “Slap Strap” which are better fitting (using thin Velcro attachment), and never have failed.

The mask was fit and ready-set for my trip. In Grand Cayman ~ Friday, August 7 – after my first dive, I came-up and and was preparing for the second dive, when I was sliding the mask over my head, the left side strap popped-off! That’s when I noticed that the LEFT-SIDE “TILT” swivel retention cover plate was gone! This new mask’s TILT swivel design, has a plastic plate, which covers the mask’s outer & tilt swivel.

Without this plastic “TILT” cover plate, the head-strap swivel (using ANY head-strap) can pop-off! Under water, this could cause much panic and perhaps a catastrophe for some divers! So, I had to use an ATOMIC AQUATICS ‘Sub Frame’ mask that I had (luckily) packed into my dive bag! As usual, it worked FLAWLESSLY! I don’t know if this was just a fluke by TUSA, but I will have to send-in this Freedom HD mask to Leisure Pro for a mask replacement, or to TUSA for the same.

Don’t get me wrong: It’s a nice mask with a great lens, excellent materials, and a set of neat TILT swivels. The one exception aims at the durability of the “TILT” swivel cover plate part falling off on mine! Unless/Until this issue is resolved, I could not recommend this item to any friends.

Note:The mask was perfect before getting into salt water. Fit adjustment was perfect (with Slap Strap), and defogger gel was applied beforehand.

A well made mask. Materials strong. Slightly disappointed that the silicone isn’t as soft as the freedom one mask or the freedom HD mask that I had tried in the past. The nose pocket is a fair bit smaller on this mask than the aforementioned masks so be aware if your nose is above average.

This mask is more suited to ladies or those with smaller faces. This being said the mask is fit for purpose and fits a little better when wet. The lenses are superb and allow for a better field of view compared to the freedom one mask, but nothing beats the view from the HD mask.

I may have to upgrade! Excellent service from Mikes will without a second thought perchase more products from this dive store!.

Awesome dive mask! Where has this been all my life??? Helps keep most my face warm even in VERY cold water, gives great peripheral vision and seems to seal real well to my face. Almost never suck in/choke on water down the snorkel with the ops I do with it too.

This is my second full face snorkel mask. The first was a disaster. This one is excellent, doesn’t fog, easily adjustable and very comfortable. Highly recommended

No go….the sizing guidelines usign the measurement from the chin to the bridge od the nose is off. Otherwise looks lke a great design with high quality.

This is the best mask Ive ever used.Tons of options for upgrading to your particular style of diving.I definitely recommend this mask well worth the money.

I am a novice at snorkelling in all fairness. The resort i go to in lanzarote has great snorkelling opportunities and i have been left disappointed in the past when using a cheap holiday brought snorkel.

until i purchased this product. Wow what a great peice of kit. I put it on and away i went. Perfect visibility with no fogging up. Great for breathing in with no need to change your breathing. No horrible sea water taste as no water got into the mask.

Highly recomend this product.

It is the most intuitive snorkel I have used. No need to blow water out of the snorkel just a normal exhale clears the water from the snorkel and no more face mask fogging. It is as close to scuba you can get without tanks and special training.

I bought black Apeks mask with clear lenses some time ago but unfortunately I haven’t got chance to test till today. This is one of the best masks I ever had (compare to few different brands and shapes – OCEANIC, TUSA, etc).

The mask is very soft and light with perfect seal on to the face, I used is today in 10’C to 8’C water with 11mm. hood and there wasn’t any problem. I very glad from purchase only regret abut haven’t be able to buy UV due to lack of availability / supply from Apeks.

Super comfortable and flexible skirt. Took a few burn & toothpaste rounds to get rid of the film when new. No problems with fog now. Bonus, the strap doesn’t yank my hair out. Love the white color, it’s different than most other masks.

If you have a large nose or problems with pain using your current mask, this is a MUST for you. I’ve tried tons of masks but none come close to this one. The material is a very soft silicone that conforms to any face so gently you won’t even know it’s there.

Just try it, you will not be disappointed!.

The product took a while to arrive, by customs, however it arrived in good condition and very functional. I still do not have the opportunity to try it, but it looks very well manufactured and resistant, it also fits perfectly with my face.

I doubted whether to take the normal ones or the mini ones, but taking the mini ones was a success. The glasses adapt perfectly to my face without getting water or fogging up. They look great, they are super comfortable and I am super happy with my purchase.

I bought this mask at Scuba Center Temecula my LDS. It has been the most comfortable and best fitting mask I have ever used in 15 years of diving. The ski goggle style strap is insanely comfortable. It is worth every penny.

It is so comfortable I feel like I’m not wearing a mask. Any piece of gear that is so well fitted you forget your wearing it is a must.

The Seaview 180 was the best purchase I ever made for snorkel equipment. I did my research for days before purchasing the Seaview, read tons of reviews, watched youtube reviews and was thoroughly satisfied that this would be a quality product.

I was just able to recently test it for the first time in the Dominican Republic in Punta Cana. The Seaview 180 was very comfortable to put on and wear. The fit was tight, but not so tight that it was hurting my face to wear it.

When I went in the water for the first time I actually couldn’t believe I was breathing “normally”. that’s all there is to it — you breath through your nose or your mouth as you normally would and it’s a relaxing feeling.

The best part was I was getting absolutely no leaks like I would wearing a traditional snorkel mask and without even applying any anti-fog drops the make was not fogging up at all! Diving a bit down in the water you feel the dry snorkel feature plug up the snorkel part so that no water gets in.

Obviously you cannot take a breath while this is happening but that’s just how all snorkels work anyway. If any water does happen to get in the mask it doesn’t interfere with your breathing since that part of the mask is compartmentalized where the water can’t get in, and when you surface the water instantly drains out a one-way valve in the front of the mask.

Vision is clear underwater without any distortion that I could tell, although the water I was diving in wasn’t super clear so I wasn’t able to test the degree of vision of the mask out as much as I would have liked — good excuse for another vacation! All in all, I think this is an amazing product for basic snorkelers like myself who mostly stay on the surface and don’t do much deep diving.

Enjoy snorkeling and have always used the traditional two piece system for years. My wife had trouble adjusting to the traditional two piece equipment and couldn’t last more than a few minutes in the water.

Decided to get the full face mask/snorkel for her and got one for myself to try. Just returned from a week in the Galapagos. I loved using the full face equipment. Once I got the hang of it, I loved it.

I never had to remove the mask to adjust or blow water out of it, as I do with the two piece snorkel. I had to adjust to breathing with my nose and mouth, and to breathe slow and steady. I was able to use it indefinitely without issue.

If any water got in, which was rare, i simply lifted my face out of the water and it drained out. The snorkel shut water out instantly if I submerged. I did have issues with fogging that seemed to resolve by pretreating with a soap solution before going in the water.

There are some delicate round pieces inserted in the nose section. I seemed to have lost one of them, early on, at some point, and this may have contributed to the fogging, but even with the piece missing, the anti-fog treatment solved the issue.

It would be good to have a replacement on hand for this small delicate round piece. They should send one or two extras of these small round silicon pieces with the mask. I plan to use this mask every time from now on.

I really enjoyed it and preferred it to the two piece system. Field of view was much better More significantly, my wife loved using it and was finally able to enjoy snorkeling!.

I bought this mask because of the ease of changing to corrective lenses; and boy am I glad I did! There seems to be an extra wide sealing area around the face compared to my Atomic; so sealing is not a problem.

Even my big schnozola fits fine. Buying the additional GoPro mount was a no-brainer and it works very well. The mask supports the camera firmly and is is no way uncomfortable or causes leaks. I like that the GoPro records my checking of my dive computer, giving me the ability to view the movies as a way to associate data with the dive.

I purchased corrective lenses through Newport Glass and I couldn’t be happier. The most economical way for prescription lenses; changing them out was simple and straightforward and incurred no leaks.

Have no fear making an online purchase of the Hollis M3. I am looking forward many years of good service from this mask.

My older mask was looking pretty tired so I decided to replace it. Since I have a gopro I was looking for a mask that had an options attachment for the camera. I chose the Hollis M3 mask due to the great reviews.

I received it yesterday and I immediately tried it on and wow what a comfortable mask. super supple silicone skirts. I lightly drew a vacuum through my nose and the mask was held in place perfectly. This is my first mask with this type of lense shape and I think I am going to love it for visibility.

Very nice mask. However I need bi focal lenses +2 to read my gauges and Hollis only supply negative lenses. Which is disappointing as they are missing a selling opportunity to us mature divers. Had to exchange for a Tusa which has a full range of lenses and nowican see my gauges.
