A full face CPAP mask is a type of sleep apnea mask that covers both the nose and mouth. This type of mask is ideal for people who suffer from both obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea. Additionally, full face CPAP masks are also a good choice for people who have nasal congestion or a deviated septum.
The ResMed Mirage Quattro is a full face style of CPAP mask for the treatment of sleep apnea. A full face mask covers the nose and mouth with a silicone cushion to allow the user to breathe through both.
The Quattro is a recommended option for users on high CPAP pressures or bi – level therapy.
I got this in hopes it would fit better than, and be less noisy than, the ResMed Mirage. Wrong! That middle forehead post borders on painful. No matter how I adjusted it, it would squeak, fart and cause my machine to engage in sudden bursts of air extreme pressure, which was enough to wake me repeatedly.
Having used CPAPs and BiPaps for over 10 years, this is the first time ever that the myAir app recorded a 0 out of 20 for mask seal. Guess I will just have to put up with the Mirage’s occasion songs until I find something better.
This thing is bulky and unwieldy. The mask is difficult to use and uncomfortable. Getting the lower straps clicked in requires patience and dexterity. If you want to disconnect in the middle of the night, you have no unhook and remove the mask unless you want to drag the pump with you.
Unhooking to hose is a drag and is supposed to be done by releasing a small circular clip out of a groove in the front mask elbow. If it pops out — you have to find it and reinstall it. If you break it, you are done for.
A hose quick disconnect may make it so you can unhook the hose easily, but it will have to add it to the front elbow assembly. There is a rubber outflow plug in the top of the mask that vents air out.
Even at a low flow rate it vents too much. During exhale it often whistles. The rubber plug comes out easily as nothing holds it in other than tension. If if pops out it — you have to find it and stick it back in.
Read the PDF users guide as it shows the assembly and disassembly of all of these pieces. What a pain. The head strap is the only redeeming feature. I like the quick disconnect clips, but not the way they attach to this mask.
The first night I attempted to put it on, I sat for a good hour on the side of my bed trying to figure out the straps. I had the mask inside out, upside down, and right-side up! I was about to throw the mask into the trash can, but as with most tasks, decided with the bull-head of mine to plod onward.
Eventually I got the mask on; observing that it was a tight fit, but also taking into accord the mask fit snugly, especially around the edges where many times there are far too many leaks within other masks.
I decided to “Grin and Bear It. ” I sincerely believe that whatever discomfort is felt, the principle lies within the fact: The benefit is worth the Risk. I wear my mask now, and feel good about it! When I have to use the bathroom, I just pull the hose off where the nose part of the mask is.
It saves a lot of time and trouble because once the mask is taken off, the straps invariably tend to want to stick together. When this happens, you experience what I did in the first paragraph of this review!.
The Philips DreamWear provides a very clear field of vision. The cushion of Philips DreamWear only starts under the nose. This allows you to read in bed or watch TV before going to sleep without any problems.
Philips DreamWear is particularly suitable for you if you breathe through your mouth and nose at night, have a beard or are claustrophobic. The hose connection on the head also supports any sleeping position that is comfortable for you – no matter whether you sleep on your back, side or stomach.
I have used every adjustment I can make and tried every size of Mask Replacement Cushion that was sent in the kit and I can NOT get a decent seal. If I actually do get a seal, the head gear is so tight that the cushion is cutting into my nose and cheeks and too painful to sleep.
Any less tight and there is air leak all around the entire cushion. I suppose that most of my trouble is coming from my High Pressure setting of 19 on my machine. I also have had trouble with sealing of every mask I’ve ever used.
I have been using a CPAP appliance for 30 years or more and have never had a decent nights sleep in all that time. I really love the top of my head position of the air supply hose and the clear vision provided by the mask.
If I could get a great seal also, this would definitely be my preferred mask of all time. I’m really sorry that I can’t give a better review but I have to be honest. I had really, really hoped that this would be my perfect mask and provide what I’ve never been able to achieve.
It could be possible that if you had sent me a size small frame that it may have worked. The size Medium frame (where the air supply attaches) is totally loose and free of the top of my head and makes the head gear almost without any tighter adjustment left when the gear is new.
Although your price is extremely reasonable, I can’t just keep ordering different sizes hoping for a good result. I’ve already tried the Medium size frame nasal only cushion version of this mask using my present CPAP supply company and had an air leak through my mouth.
Maybe a chinstrap headgear will be my next adventure. My Best Regards, Roger.
I am still trying to get used to this mask. It has been a month. I like the pillowy fit, though at times it makes me feel suffocated and I rip the mask off. I have consistent air leaks. I can’t seem to find the right fit with no leaks.
It is either too tight and leaving lines on my face/ compounding that suffocating feeling or comfortable but leaking air. The air leaks are preferable though the rush of air can be loud and dries me out.
I also drool occasionally and it is a nightmare to be woken as I switch sides and get hit with a wave of my own drool lol. Gross, I know, but if you drool this may not be the one for you either haha.
I was so excited about getting this mask and not having to have the crossbar like on other full face masks and ended up being very disappointed, No matter what size mask I tried none fit properly. The hole where you are suppose to line up with your nostrils doesn’t line up right because of the softness of the cushion, it actually makes me feel like I can’t breath.
The cushion irritates my nose and I don’t feel like I am getting the same air flow. My cpap machine is also hooked up to my oxygen because of my other medical conditions so proper air flow is a must.
The headgear actually hurts my head after awhile from having the hose rest on my head all night. Will not be using this mask again.
The DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask is like wearing nothing at all, making it the most comfortable Full Face CPAP Mask on the market today, delivering a great seal and stability needed for a good nights sleep.
Philips Respironics new and exciting design is the soft silicone frame that directs airflow through two silicone tubes to join at the full face cushion. Because the frame is soft and flexible it adapts naturally to facial contours without pinching or pressure points, and will accommodate almost any sleeping position, giving you more freedom of movement, and a wide open field of view.
A real plus among CPAP users. Unlike most full face mask that rest on the bridge of your nose the DreamWear Full Face Mask fits just under the nose, providing a secure seal without all the annoying red marks on the top of your nose, discomfort or irritation in the nostrils.
Literally pulls my hair every time I take it off. And the airflow that comes out is much louder than my old nasal pillow mask, not from poor fit just the design for air release. Depending on how you lay the slit can open wider or not so much.
And if you fall asleep with your arm by your head the air shoots onto your arm and can be distracting and cool. The nasal pillow is soft but the holes are bigger than I thought they would be compared to my old mask.
I do like the tube at the top of the head and the adjustable strap.
Initially, the memory foam seemed like a godsend and thought my search for the right mask was finally over. Unfortunately, the material quickly proved to be unsuitable for the intended use. When I first put the mask on the feel was amazing, comfortable, good seal close to perfect.
By the middle of the second week, however, the material started to compress and lose its shape. Before the end of the second week, I realized cleaning effectively would be close to impossible, the material adsorbs saliva and moisture from cleaning wipes causing it to become deformed further.
Also, wipes don’t get it clean enough, and washing soap and water caused the memory foam to separate from the silicone seal. The first one was in the trash well before the third week and with a great deal more care I almost made it three weeks with the second mask but even then the memory foam was so distorted that I had to crank down the headgear straps to get any sort of seal causing the mask edges to dig into the bridge of my nose and under my eyebrow, to the point, I was waking up with puffed and swollen eyes.
My insurance company will only pay for one replacement a month and at these prices, I can’t afford to be replacing masks out of pocket every two weeks. with is about the longest I was able to get practical use out of them.
I have been using the F20 AirTouch, and wanted to try a more minimal Mask. This mask has been an excellent mask for me. It did take a few nights of leaks and or to tight before I hit the sweet spot, once there only remove the mask by the magnet clips and in the morning when your done with your sleeping.
I also find it useful to always put the mask on in front of a mirror and ensure the under the nose portion looks right. Also for reference, I’m still sporting my COVID mustache and beard and have had no issues.
I could easily bounce between this 1 and the memory foam F20 AirTouch, as both masks are winners in their own right. Just depends on how minimal you want to go. Would recommend to family and friends.
In addition, Rapid CPAP website, ordering and shipping was flawless and I will definitely check them when all my CPAP needs.
Even though they’re more expensive / industry standard really for their CPAP supplies, I know I can trust that their product WILL arrive to me, whereas purchasing through Amazon you cannot guarantee inventory will be there in my experience.
I tend to mouth-breathe so full face mask is a requirement. This is the only one I can stand wearing. My face is awkwardly “in between” sizes, but I can make the Small work. Medium is uncomfortable to me as it is “in” my eyes it feels like LOL.
PROS – Arrives in fully sealed “sterile” packaging – Memory foam doesnt require as much “tightness” to get a good seal which means less chance for ‘red marks’ if that matters to you – SO much more comfortable – pure silicone masks really irritate my skin and struggle to get a good seal – this doesn’t require much “effort” at all to get the best of both worlds CONS – Lasts shorter than other masks – You’ll still get red marks more than likely lol, but they dissipate quickly – Must use specific wipes to clean as you cant submerge the foam in water – that will destroy the foam far quicker if you do FYI.
The Philips Respironics Amara View is a full face style of CPAP interface that does not use the traditional forehead support. This unique feature allows the user to read or watch television while wearing their interface.
The optional headgear add – on will allow you to make this a complete interface system.
I have been around the block a number of times trying to find a full face mask that works for me and I think I have found it. After trying a number of full fast masks the Amara View was recommended by my doc so I gave it a try and have been very pleased.
I have a fairly wide mouth and most masks don’t cover my mouth and mouth crease very well but the Amara View does. I know most masks recommend not over tightening them and the Amara View is the first one I have been able to follow that recommendation.
This of course leads to a more comfortable experience at night. I bought the Fit Pack because I was not sure whether Med or Large mask cushion would work. The large works really well for me. The part of the mask cushion that sits under the nose has really worked well because part of the mask is designed to just cover the tip of your nose.
This helps eliminate leaks and keeps the mask in position. Note that the hole of the mask that delivers air still sits below your nose, so don’t attempt to slip the hole over the top of your nose. The head gear is comfortable and the velcro really stays in place unlike certain other masks I have used.
The mask cushion pops off from the frame and both frame and cushion can be cleaned quickly and easily. I have been very pleased with the Amara View Full Face Mask and I know I will need the large mask cushion when reordering, which I’ll definitely be doing on a regular basis.
Also, working with CPAP. COM is really a breeze. I have been customer for various purchases over the years and really have been pleased with their service and product selection.
This mask is exactly what I wanted to be able to wear glasses with a mask. It fits below the nose and covers the mouth. That leaves the bridge of the nose open for glasses while serving as a “full” face mask.
The mask makes a tight seal without pressing the flesh. Not sure how they got the thin edge on the mask but it works. The mask size lets me sleep on my side without breaking the seal. Magnetic snaps are very helpful in putting the mask on.
The magnets find their own way to the attachment point. The quick disconnect hose lets me move about the cabin while leaving the mask in place. Direct Home Medical was very helpful in speeding the mask to me.
I have this mask in “small” from a local medical supply shop but am considering buying a new one online out of pocket since my insurance spaces out resupply too far. Many of the reviews complain about air leakage; this has not been my experience in >1 year of use.
My mask was fit to my face by the experts at the medical supply shop and since this is a full face mask, it doesn’t need a chin-strap to keep your mouth closed–it is okay to breathe through your mouth.
So you do not need to order a chin strap and you do not need magnetic head gear (the chin strap attaches via magnets) unless you have a nose pillow you want to swap with occasionally. To my surprise, though I have a wide face and big head, I needed the *small* cushion, perhaps because I have a small-ish chin.
There exists a ‘fit kit’ version of this kit with 3 cushion sizes that might be good for people trying to find a fit on their own the first time. There are exhaust holes on the front of the mask through which your exhaled air and excess pressure exits.
This means if you hold your hand in front of your face, you will always feel a flow when the machine is on. It is only leaking if the air goes up from between the cushion and your skin. The head-gear tightness should be such that the mask leaks when you are sitting but stays on your face when you are laying down–it should be fairly loose, so you don’t get pressure discomfort on your face while you sleep.
If you have a local medical supply shop that can help you with first time fit, I suggest taking advantage of that. Over time the headgear can stretch so you may need to make minor adjustments–velcro makes the fit infinitely adjustable and if you look carefully at how it attaches to the mask you can see how to easily remove the straps to clean the mask and cushion without having to undo the velcro.
This mask works well for me but obviously everyone’s face is different so you may have to search around awhile to find a product that fits you.
ResMed’s innovative AirFit F30i Full Face CPAP and BiPAP Mask features a top-of-the-head tube design, a soft hollow tubed frame, and a minimalist cushion that rests below the nose to reduce facial contact, irritation and pressure points.
Enjoy reading or watching TV before bed. Great for active sleepers.
First off: after years of using nasal pillows, training myself to not breathe through my mouth, it is taking a little time to teach myself the opposite. Plugging my nostrils with tissue paper works well.
The mask is amazing, with the brilliant top hose attachment, but leaks unless I keep it fairly tight (could just be my face shape, or lack of recent shaving). What is strange is the “anti-asphyxia valve”, which slams open and shut almost randomly at the start of a session, or sometimes during the session if I breathe heavily or something.
For those with water tanks, it takes some work to adjust. Water goes away faster, so I had to turn the humidity controls down. And the tube temperature down to like 72 degrees, since anything higher feels like a hot smothering fog.
Overall, highly recommended for anyone who wants a light full-face setup.
The mask has tiny plastic clips that are responsible for maintaining connection with the tubes and they’re super easy to break either by connecting at bed time, reconnecting after cleaning or by being a side/belly sleeper.
For the price, that shouldn’t be an issue. That’s my biggest peeve about this mask. Other than that it’s comfortable, even for technically being a full face mask, the air being fed from up top instead of through the mask really adds to the comfort & since you’re not mushing a tube into your pillow while you’re sleeping, you can actually lay into your pillow.
The size being smaller than normal full face masks also means you don’t have a huge nose piece jabbing you in the eye and making air gaps over your nose while blasting your eyes with air as you sleep.
This is honestly the most comfortable mask I’ve ever owned, my only complaint again is that for the price, it could be built with better quality.
I’ve finally made it one full week and thought I should share my opinions on this mask. As others have noted, trying to attach the tube is difficult without getting your hair stuck in it. My solution was after I fit the mask I slide the port towards my forehead to get it out of my hair before plugging in and then readjusting.
As far as the fit goes I kind of got lucky with just eyeballing my nose size based off of the fit diagram. As far as leaking I think many people are having issues with it from fighting their straps too much.
The directions state to fit it under the nose without creasing the silicone. I adjusted mine by putting my cpap in mask fit and tightened and adjusted the fit just enough to seal. It did take a little playing with to make sure the holes sit just below your nostrils but that couldn’t be any different than nasal pillows.
(but I wouldn’t know) my only real con if you could call it that is the anti-asphyxia holes on the front of the mask. There’s a steady stream of air that comes out that my disturb your parter, mine doesn’t complain.
My main reason for purchasing mas the fact that I breath out of both my nose and mouth, and also toss and turn from stomach to side and back. With my traditional mask I would wrap the hose around my neck in my sleep or break the seal laying on my side and bleed air into my eyes causing my to rip it off.
The DreamWear CPAP Mask’s innovative design directs airflow through a soft, silicone frame so you can sleep comfortably with more freedom of movement. The minimal contact, under-the-nose full face cushion provides a secure seal without red marks, discomfort or irritation in the nostrils, mouth, or on the nose bridge.
DreamWear adapts easily to a wide variety of sleeping positions and always provides a wide open field of view. This FitPack includes multiple cushions and/or multiple frames so you can try out different options for your best fit.
Very comfortable and light compared to the Resmed masks. Fits Resmed hoses. It tends to leak with higher pressures but all masks do. If your need a full mask yet dont like full face masks. this is for you.
Ensure your face is perfectly clean, and shaved. The silicone must have a clean surface to rest and seal on. Magnetic clips make putting on and removing very easy. The hose connects at the top of your head on a swivel, allowing you to sleep on your side.
Whilst the mask is lightweight and the tube is out of the way are good points. There was no leakage around the mask. I did not get good nights sleep using this mask due to noise. This seems to be because of leaking around the tubing quick release.
This also reduces pressure at the mask itself. (The mask was originally fitted by a sleep professional). One of my highest AHI usung this mask. Much better sleep and lower AHI with my old mask.
Enjoy deeper, more restful sleep with fewer interruptions. Full face CPAP mask is designed for premium comfort and effective sleep therapy every night. Frame stabilizers evenly redistribute pressure over a larger area, reducing that feeling of high CPAP pressures.
Silicone contact is soft against skin and fits like a dream, so you can breathe easily without noisy mask leaks. Designed without a forehead pad, so you can read or watch TV without obstruction before comfortably sleeping through the night.
CPAP headgear available in small, medium or large. To size, measure from bridge of nose to bottom of lower lip. Latex-free.
I ordered this CPAP mask in error and the tubing too. The tubing is perfect. The photo looked like the mask that I currently need to replace, but instead it is HUGE. It would cover my mouth. I’ve been trying to get a Return Authorization from the Medical Supply Depot, but after I submitted the return form, I have heard nothing – and it’s been well over a week.
Thinking they didn’t receive my original form, I submitted a new form last night. Now I have 2 case files open. When I clicked on the link to check my “return status,” it took me to a blank page where it wanted me to “sign in,” with no other information as to what the site is.
I certainly don’t have a log-in name or password for whatever that site is. And according to their website, they will be deducting the fee for SENDING the mask to me (it was shipped free) and a restocking fee of 25%.
The package is unopened. Will somebody from Medical Supply Depot please step in and help me?.
Haven’t had a chance to use this yet but it arrived with the “hanger” piece broken off. Not the fault of FedEx. It was shipped with zero packing material. Wouldn’t have to be much or be fancy to protect from damage.
Just a couple pieces of brown packing paper wrapped around the head would have prevented this. I believe it warrants a partial refund as I am not spending MORE money to return/exchange since any exchange is likely to be packaged the same way and it is useable.
Still, this is the 2nd of 3 things I ordered at the same time and so I am not happy with the customer service.
The mask is a great fit. It has a soft, snug fit so there are no air leaks or vibrations. I’m very happy with it. It makes a slightly different sound than my old one so at first, it seemed noisy. But now I don’t even notice it and sleep peacefully all night.

I’ve tried full facial masks and nasal pillows. I absolutely hate the nasal pillows because none of them feel good stuck up my nose. The full face masks are even more bulky that the Activa. I sleep on my back, side, and stomach throughout the night and the Activa is the best mask I’ve found that allows me to move around without losing air pressure.
It’s comfortable and doesn’t hurt like other options. My only complaint is that I used to be able to buy this mask for half of what they charge now and it hasn’t changed in years so why does Resmed keep price gouging people for these masks and then tell us we have to change them out often.
I use mine much longer than recommended so I get my monies worth out of them. If I could find a better mask I’d buy it but I’ve found none better. If you don’t like nasal pillows, give this one a try.
My previous nasal masks were moving my front teeth, so I moved to this full-face mask after 26 years of CPAP masks with chin straps. I am most satisfied and it’s great not needing my chin strap. I normally wear Large Resmed masks, but for the full-face mask, the Medium is absolutely perfect.
I’m glad I cut out the paper pattern first, or I wound’t have believed it. Anyway, I get a great seal every night and sleep mostly on my sides. No leaks and now I can get a retainer for my front tooth that moved.

I have been using the Amara Full Face Mask for a year and a half (since January 2021). Overall, it has been a good mask. Some leakage at times. The velcro head straps are fairly weak and I found myself adjusting constantly.
This is the same problem I have found with other CPAP head gear as well. I am not sure why some engineer can’t come up with a head gear that is meant to be slipped over the head and using adjustment clips in conjunction with velcro straps to provide a more secure and semi-permanent set up setting.
I ended up having to sew the straps in place, which bought me a couple of extra months use. The velcro probably has 30% of it’s original holding ability, which is going to happen after repeated use.
Smashing, My experience thus far with rapid cpap has far exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately my recent replacement mask order left a lot to expectations. I ordered a mask (way overdue) however the system burped and I awaited my email confirmation.
I did not receive any email, snail mail, or even smoke signals. I assumed due to the lack of confirmation that the system burp had killed the first order. Needing the replacement mask, I ordered a new one (from you) there were no ‘possible duplicate’ warnings so I paid up.
A few days later, the second order arrived and I was happy. Over a week later the magical mystery first order arrived with no explanation and fully billed to me. I feel like I was conned into buying two, whilst I am aware that in time I will use the second (ordered first) mask In tiime.
I’ve been using a CPAP for 26 years and I purchased this mask, sight unseen, to replace another mask when its frame broke. I have 2 complaints about this mask after 9 months of use. The black tabs on the bottom of mask that attach to the headgear fall of the mask 50% of the time when I store my mask.
When I go to put my mask on I first have to find and re-attach these tabs which is very annoying when all I want to do is sleep. I also have great difficulty getting this mask to form an air tight seal with my face.
Therefore, I can’t recommend this mask no matter how much the price is lowered. It is just a poor design.

I am in need of having my left jaw reconstructed & haven’t been able to wear my old mask for 2 months. I was finally able to get in with my dr & they refitted me for this mask, however, my insurance wouldn’t cover another mask until March, so I bought it myself.
I am SO glad I did!! Not only am I getting better rest again, this mask doesn’t hurt my face at all, since it doesn’t have any straps that lay across my cheekbones. Plus, the bottom straps go enough below my actual jawbone, that they aren’t pressing against my actual jaw joint.
Not once have I lost a seal during the night with this mask either!! I absolutely love the way you can adjust the straps, not only on the sides of the head, but on the top as well. This mask is a winner in my books!!.
The design on this mask is truly baffling to me. Holes in the front of the mask turn you in to a literal house fan. This is nice for your partner on hot summer nights to have a continual breeze blowing on them.
However, they will cover your head with a pillow on the other nights to shut off the wind. The leaking air throws off my CPAP reading, making it look like my mask seal is broken. What were the designers thinking? We’re they all single bachelors?.
I was sent the old model mask first because later explained warehouse was out of stock. I am so impressed with your customer service and your company not over charging your customers for these much needed masks.
I love the lighter weight head strap. I had a craniotomy in 11/2018 and my skull still gets tender with the CPAP usage. You’ve made it a kinder wear. Much appreciation!!!!!! No photos included. Just because I look like a pumpkin head.

I was more than a little skeptical when I ordered this. The price was a lot lower than I have paid for this Full Face Mask in the past. My “Insurance Approved” provider charges almost 140. 00 dollars.
But, for the price I figured I would give it a shot. To my surprise this is the exact same thing my former supplier was charging. Finally, if it seems to be to good to be true actually turned out to be true.
Thank You Buy Medical dot com charging a reasonable price.

There are many different types of full face CPAP masks available on the market today. Some are designed to be used with a specific type of CPAP machine, while others are universal and can be used with any type of CPAP machine.
The type of mask you choose will depend on your personal preferences and your doctor’s recommendations.
There are several things to consider when choosing a full face CPAP mask. The first is the size of the mask. There are three main sizes: small, medium, and large. The size of the mask you choose should be based on the size of your face.
If the mask is too large, it will leak air and be uncomfortable to wear. If the mask is too small, it will be difficult to breathe.
The second thing to consider is the type of seal. There are two main types of seals: nasal and full face. Nasal masks only cover your nose, while full face masks cover your nose and mouth. Full face masks are generally more comfortable to wear and provide a better seal.
The third thing to consider is the type of headgear. There are three main types of headgear: forehead, nasal, and full face. Forehead headgear attaches to the forehead, while nasal headgear attaches to the nose.
Full face headgear goes over the nose and mouth.
The fourth thing to consider is the material the mask is made from. There are two main types of materials: silicone and latex. Silicone masks are generally more comfortable to wear and provide a better seal.
Latex masks are less expensive but can cause allergic reactions in some people.
The fifth thing to consider is the price. Full face CPAP masks can range in price from $100 to $500. The type of mask you choose, the size, the type of seal, the type of headgear, and the material will all affect the price.
The sixth and final thing to consider is the warranty. Most full face CPAP masks come with a one-year warranty. Some companies offer extended warranties for an additional cost.
Now that you know the different types of full face CPAP masks, you can make an informed decision about which mask is right for you.
