I found this product a few years ago. It is great for my lawn mower and snowblower when I can’t get them to start. I have noticed that once I add it to the gasoline it takes about 30 minutes before the machine starts up.

I know it says on the label it works faster than 30 minutes, but I live in a cold climate which also has a lot of humidity in summer so it takes a little while for it to work. Originally this was a liquid you poured into the gasoline.

Now it is more aerosol – works the same, just a bit different than when it originally came out. I almost always have 2 cans on hand for summer and winter. I really like this product and will continue to use.

I own a Lawn Boy Self-Propelled lawn mower I bought in 2009. Over the last 2 years I have had a lawn service cut the grass but this year I decided to save some money and start cutting it myself again.

A while back I bought an older ATV that had been sitting outside in all sorts of weather. It had water in the gas tank and who knows what it looked like inside the carburetor. After reading other folks’ reviews on Start Your Engines I decided to buy a can to see how well it worked.

Well, it worked. I dumped some in the drained gas and added some gas, cycled the starter to get some gas into the carb and then waited a while. I came back into the shop and she fired up and ran! I was pleasantly surprised.

A week or so ago I decided to again try to get my log splitter running which I had loaned to a friend, who then left it sitting outside for a long period of time. Earlier this year I was unable to get it to start and stay running, even using ether.

I dumped about a teaspoon of Start Your Engines directly into the carburetor and put some fresh gas into the tank and believe it or not, she coughed to life after waiting a short time. The engine ran roughly for a while, but it kept getting better and better.

It looks like I won’t have to tear the carb down like I thought would be necessary, after all. Forward to this last weekend. I have a couple Stihl chainsaws, 1 of which I have not used in years–somewhere around 4-6 years to be more accurate.

Like a dummy, I had left some fuel in the tank and didn’t run the carb dry. Needless to say, even after dumping out the old fuel and adding fresh it wouldn’t even “pop”, even after adding a little Start Your Engines.

I removed the air cleaner and had my son hold my propane torch close to the intake (un-lit, of course!!!) and while he flowed some propane gas into the carburetor I pulled the rope again. It started on the 2nd pull or so! After running the engine only 10-15 seconds, she idled almost as good as a new one and had plenty of power.

We used it to cut down a tree a short while later and had no problems. I now have about 1 3/4 cans of this stuff on my shelf for future emergencies. Bottom line is, this stuff CAN and DOES work. It won’t work if you have problems other than stale/gummy fuel, but it can definitely save you a lot of shop charges even though it IS a bit pricy for 4 oz.

Great for big block engines and those that may run extra hot….try this with 70% water and 30% AF for a 10% more efficient cooling system!

I’ve used other gas additives but very few work as noticeably and quickly as this. I use a container of this in each vehicle when I change oil. Good stuff. My wife’s Blazer develops a hesitation because of slow in town driving.

I added this to my nearly empty tank of gas and within 300 miles I already noticed the pickup was better. After going to the gas station for a fill up, I noticed the gas milage increased about 1 1/2 miles per gallon.

We have been using Heet for over 10 years on the Mercedes Benz Cars, It never disappoints, does what it says,a very good price,that is the mark of an excellent product! O’Reilly’s staff is amazing too, cannot leave that part out either.

Had a check engine light come on. Had to do with a possible O2 sensor and engine running too lean. Staff member recommended i use this product and give it a cpl hundred miles. In the end, the engine light turned off.

I always use this once a year at least to make sure the water is taken out of my gas tank. It seems to work before i use it i have slight misses and afterwards it runs fine. My cars are all more than 15 years old and i never have any issues due to water in my gas tank.

I have never had any injector issues and they are all original.

Well. After using my first bottle of Archoil 6200 I’m not impressed. I did not see gains in fuel economy like I did previously with archoil 9100 in my 7. 3. The product itself may or may not have worked.

The bottle the product is contained in leaked about half of the product out and I didn’t get to use it. It seems silly that the caps do not seal once the product is opened. Overall not impressed and truly let down since the 9100 worked so well.

It seems to help my old diesel truck start in the mornings better. Truck runs better. As far as fuel mileage? I don’t think it helps very much. I do not notice a difference in mileage.

I think this is a very good product! It does improve mileage a bit and also cuts down on the exhaust smoke! I think it is work it for my 7.3 engine!

I drive a bored and stroked Hemi (gaoline powered) Ram truck with 11. 0:1 compression. It boils fuel in the rails when idling in warm weather. Good gas is a necessity but hard to find and not cheep. I’m retired and it may take me 2 weeks, or more, to burn a tank full.

Amsoil PI seems to work better than Lucas as measured by my throttle experience :]93 pump gas stays fresh for weeks and throttle response is always crisp and powerful. It “seems” to increase the boiling point of fuel as my soggy throttle response in traffic is not as bad.

I used Dipetane all the time while I lived Cork, in the Republic of Ireland – it really is like adding a bit of magic to your fuel (diesel or petrol). From personal experimentation / experience the 10% increase in efficiency isn’t a myth – it really does what it says on the bottle.

It’s also GOLD at getting a diesel car with poor particulate emissions through the MOT. In Ireland my car failed their NCT just on the particulate test. I was advised by a friend to add this to the fuel, drive for half an hour and book a re-test.

4. 5 on the first test, 0. 6 on the re-test. I also found that it’s brilliant at keeping the diesel pollution emission filter clean and effective, especially if you don’t take too many long drives (as is recommended these days for modern diesel engines).

Thought I try this when fuel prices went silly assuming it was probably a gimmick and wouldn’t work but with the cost of fuel the it was I had to try something. Now I don’t have to drive like a Christian anymore to get decent MPG in my old diesel Jetta.

Gone through a full tank of fuel with this in the tank and the effects are now very noticeable. Engine is giving me better MPG there and back on the same long journey I always take every weekend to mums and and I’m driving faster because I’m not worrying about the cost of the journey just as much.

Will be looking out for a bigger bottle of it to make bigger savings in future. Well worth the investment it has paid for itself.

I bought it before a long drive, and I noticed that it added hundreds of miles onto my range. I usually get about 750 miles from a tank, but at one point on the motorway my range to zero clicked over 1,020 miles.

I got about 930 before filling the tank again, and it was well above empty when I did so.

A year or so ago we had a problem with our 11 year old diesel Clio. It started as a miss fire and then the problem increased to where there was no power and a lot of black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe.

It turned out that the exhaust gas recycle valve was all gummed up and it cost 500 to fix. After that I started to add Redex Diesel treatment and the car was fine. I then did not bother for a few tank fulls and sure enough the engine hesitation came back.

Quickly going back to Redex soon cured the problem before it required more expensive garage work and now I put it in routinely. In my opinion the engine runs more quietly and smoother and I dont get any of the hesitation we had before.

Therefore, I would not hesitate to recommend Redex diesel to you.

I have been using redex both petrol & diesel additive ever since you could squirt it in at the pump, I will continue to use it whilst I still have a car. I cant understand why drivers don’t use it my m.
