20 Best Frozen Yogurt For Diabetics (2023 Updated)

The flavor of this is the closest to real ice cream I’ve found in a frozen yogurt. It’s my favorite dessert. Unfortunately it’s been nearly totally unavailable since the start of the pandemic. Every now and then it shows up somewhere, but even when it shows up on delivery places, it ends up being canceled as they didn’t really have it.

I’m not sure why it’s not more available.

I might be the only one who prefers frozen yogurt over ice cream, but this is my all-time favorite frozen dairy treat that I can purchase at a grocery store. When I was in college, I could eat a whole pint in one sitting.

I know frozen yogurt has waned in popularity, but I really hope they keep stocking this!.

This is an amazing product it has unique packaging and a great flavor. I definitely recommend this product it is absolutely healthy and delicious. I will definitely be buying more and more of this product nin the future and recommend to friends !.

This yogurt is my favorite! I never feel heavy after eating it and the taste is amazing! I will sometimes add in fruit and it only makes the yogurt better! It’s also not too high in fat for when I’m dieting!.

I waited years to finally purchase this machine. The machine works perfectly fine, it’s my mouth that has the problem. It’s been years since I ate Jared baby bananas. So, when the first spoonful hit my mouth it sent me spiraling back years! I’ve tried to reduce the amount of frozen bananas and increase the other fruit to balance the.

excuse me, mushy mouth texture. I’ll continue to experiment with this just because I really want it to give me the desired results. I gave it a three-star rating only to alert future purchasers who might have the same crazy mouth as me.

Hi, I bought this machine since my illness doesn’t let me eat many things and as for this machine you pretty much freeze whatever fruit you desire and make your own home made ice cream/frozen yogurt or whatever you want to call it and boy is it good.

Easy to clean up mess and can do just about any flavor you crave! My aunt like it so I end up getting her too and now might but one for my other aunt too. No prop 65 which is good and BPA free. Why buy some when you can make your own and even better making it at home since we are still in a pandemic.

Better to keep it safe! Also not to big size of machine is perfect doesn’t take to much space!.

The Yonanas works great. Does exactly what it says it does and so many options for frozen treats. I like that you can add your toppings right in with the fruit when you make it. So cool how it takes frozen bananas and turns them into “ice cream”.

It’s a nice healthy alternative with the satisfaction of a sugary treat, but with healthy fruit. I definitely recommend.

Sent as a gift, this is an ice cream maker that is amazingly easy to use. Maybe, because it’s truly idiot proof, I have only one complaint, but it’s an annoyance that really irritates. It overflows. I make a batch of ice cream, set a timer (running it for more than 30 minutes almost guarantees a mess), and walk away.

Except Life happens. If I take longer than the 30 recommended minutes to get back to the machine, I can go ahead and get the wet towels together. I can already plan out my pre-dessert schedule. Sticky mix will be all over the simple machine and my counters.

Now, if I make it back before the overflow, there’s still a mess to clean up. The paddle is corners that hold soft, fresh mix in such a way that, after 5 batches, I can’t figure out how to gently scrape the ice cream off the paddle without wearing or dripping a good amount of it.

The mix gets into the sleeve of the machine, and even if caught at that perfect point, will freeze there, at the top pf the paddle, just waiting to melt on the counter. While this machine is beautiful in it’s simplicity and is excellent to clean (I have a lot of practice.

), the simple lines and clean (pun intended) and spare style hide a wonderful machine. If your dinners are better scheduled than mine, or you have more creative ways of dealing with the clean-up afterwards.

It got dofter the longer I ran it. I was starting to regret my purchase but decided to wait til I’d made more ice cream in it to really judge it. I’m so glad I waited – it makes GREAT ice cream! Comes out as soft serve but I put it in the chest freezer for awhile and it’s hard.

The soft serve way is ok to eat – frozen quite a lot actually – especially around the sides. I now know why the first batch wouldn’t get hard enough – I’d only had the bowls in the chest freezer 6 hours and that was from delivery temp.

, room temp. and hot water dish washing temp. Now it’s at least 5 days in between the times I make a batch and it gets as hard, if not harder, than my freezer makes I have to use ice and rock salt with.

And without all that mess! The first batch was made with one of the packages you can buy at the grocery store – won’t be using that again – it gets rock solid hard in the chest freezer – ugh! Since then I’ve used the sweetened condensed milk recipe and it’s soft enough to dip right out of the chest freezer – but it’s very sweet.

Today I used a recipe that calls for a pudding package (small,) an egg (cooked custard before freezing), and Splenda sugar blend, and it turned out great. We were buying Blue Bell and now we have homemade that tastes as good a Blue Bell for a lot less than Blue Bell costs.

I had a Cuisinart frozen dessert maker years ago and loved it, but found I wasn’t using it enough for the space it was taking up in my freezer. Things have changed, so I bought this new one. I made fresh strawberry ice cream first, which took a little more prep time.

I also made it earlier in the day and put it into an airtight container in the freezer. The next time, I decided two hours before I wanted it that I would make vanilla to go with fresh strawberries and pound cake slices.

I stirred up the sugar, half and half, and vanilla in a large measuring cup and put it in the refrigerator until after dinner. I set up the machine, poured in the mixture, and in 15 minutes had lovely ice cream.

BTW, I used half and half both times for my entire mixture as I couldn’t get heavy cream to mix with milk as directed in the recipes. It worked out fine. There is something about homemade ice cream that makes everybody rave! I’m making this my signature dessert!.

8/15/22 – The Good. The Bad. THE UGLY. ❗. I foolishly ordered 2 of these today on Amazon Fresh. My favorite GO TO (SO Delicious) was unavailable, so I thought I would try Breyers. I was hoping that some of the negative reviews were exaggerations.

First. THE GOOD: This Breyers Chocolate Truffle ice cream is creamy and delicious. There are enough truffle pieces that a person would have a piece of truffle in every spoonful of ice crram. Well done.

Second. THE BAD: The truffle pieces. Oh my stars. Those other reviewers were NOT exaggerating. The truffles in this ice cream ruin the whole batch. Breyers, who is your taster and where did you source these truffles? The taster must be a smoker because anyone who says these chocolate truffle pieces are delicious dark chocolate is SERIOUSLY DELUDED!!! To me, they taste the way cheap paper towels smell.

THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!. The. UGLY: Breyers I am surprised that, after all the negative reviews you have had on this product since it was introduced, you would not have learned something and made an effort to improve this product.

Is money your only motive for making this? Because it sure isn’t for the consumer. :-((. It would be in your best interest, and improve your reputation for delectable dessert creations, if you selected another supplier for your truffle pieces.

I suggest you find a chocolate supplier who actually makes REAL Dark Chocolate. Consider checking out “Buchard Belgium Dark Chocolate” or a similar chocolatier for your ingredient. Those little chocolate bars (70% Cacao) chopped up into tiny pieces, then added to your ice cream, would definitely increase sales of this item and put a lot of smiles on the faces of ALL chocolate lovers.

You could learn a great deal about how your ice cream SHOULD taste by sampling “SO Delicious Dairy Free Dark Chocolate Truffle Cashewmilk Frozen Dessert”. NOW THAT IS A GREAT TASTING DESSERT!! There is no bad aftertaste, it’s creamy and FULL of dark chocolate flavor and it tastes like Nirvana!.

You don’t have to be a copycat, but it would be nice if you could strive for that kind of frozen dessert experience. If it costs a little more to source a better chocolatier, then so be it. I’m sure consumers would not mind paying an additional $1 for a great tasting ice cream.

It might be helpful to put together a “Chocolate Lovers Focus Group” and have them participate in a blind taste test of different ice creams in the dark chocolate category inclusive of dark chocolate pieces as part of the recipe.

They don’t have to know the brand, but it would be helpful if they could state whether they like the desert or don’t like it and why. Comments could also include thoughts on the texture and what specific details affected their rating of that particular product.

All this information would help Breyers develop a better tasting dark chocolate ice cream recipe. As for me, I am sorry to say, but Breyers will be permanently OFF THE TABLE for my future shopping trips.

To be fair, i dont purchase a lot of ice cream, maybe a quart a month. As you get older you (try) to consume less sugar. So i am unlikely to be your target customer. I want to believe that the loss of chocolatey covered almonds is due to customers complaints.

I can understand how food preferences change over time and Breyers is simply adjusting with the times. However, the original/classic formula appeals to folks who were kids the first time they had RR ice cream.

Based on Breyers market penetration in the 80s and 90s i would argue, statistically, a kids first RR experience was probably Breyers original recipe/formula. By changing the formula Breyers is denying the nostalgic affinity for a really great ice cream.

The new flavor isn’t bad, but it definitely does not remind anyone of childhood or bygone days of eating chocolatey covered almonds. Unfortunately, my kids will also be denied the opportunity to taste the original product and they wont have the fond memories i do, nor the slightly negative opinion of the brand generally, for taking away my favorite and replacing it “with more almonds”.

As stated earlier, i get the need to move more product and adapt to changing consumer preferences. I just hope that the decision was not based on the cost of covering almond bits in “chocolatey” goodness, because I, like my cohort, am not a kid anymore.

We can afford a little extra to experience fond memories and everyone likes to create those for their kids. Strangely, i have never met a kid who preferred “more almonds” to “chocolatey covered” ones.

We usually stick with the old favorites; Natural Vanilla, Strawberry, or Chocolate Ice Cream, but a dinner guest suggested we serve Butter Pecan. Even though we had only eaten that flavor on infrequent occasions over the past several decades we had fond memories of the rich buttery flavor and tasty pecans so we readily agreed it was a good suggestion.

After everyone was finished with the Breyers Butter Pecan dessert, I mustered the courage to ask our guests “did you think that ice cream tasted good?”. We quickly realized that we all agreed the product was essentially flavorless, lacking in a creamy sensation, and the pecans were remarkably rotten.

The conversation led me to this site to see what other people thought. Another reviewer at this site described the pecans as tasting rancid, which stuck in my head because more than a few of the examples that I had just eaten left me with the same distasteful impression.

This incident led me to learn about the path Breyers has taken in converting some of its iconic flavors from true “Ice Cream” to “Frozen Desserts”. All I can say is why bother putting the Breyers name on this stuff.

I am finishing my first year of serious low-carb lifestyle. During that time it was a challenge to find ice cream that was not very expensive while also meeting the low-carb criteria. And if you did find it, the taste may not be as sensational.

Having said that, I was delighted to find this offering from Bryers. Be mindful that when watching your blood sugar levels, sugar alcohol does not interact negatively in that department. When you take out the sugar alcohol count, as well as the fiber, then you’re down to a delicious low-carb option.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for anything, but I am over-the-moon for this ice cream. I’m so used to really bland frozen yogurt with a bad aftertaste when I want a low-calorie frozen treat (gotta maintain that svelte physique).

I saw this at the store and was like, “That will easily fit my macros. ” I expected it to be just as bad as the stuff I’ve tried before, but I was so surprised. It was soft and super easy to scoop. It isn’t overly sweet and you don’t taste the sweetener, but it still has this classic wonderful vanilla flavor and it’s CREAMY.

I think that’s the best part. The texture is spot-on. Maintaining a low-calorie diet is important to me, but being able to have treats with my family is also important. I can do both!!!! THANK YOU!!!!.

For a low sugar low carb product, this is good quality. It doesn’t taste as bad as some carb friendly foods. If you are choosing this to be healthier, I recommend it. OTOH The flavor is very mild. It doesn’t taste very strongly of vanilla.

Though to be fair, neither does their homemade vanilla. If you want the best flavor, get the natural vanilla. If you want the creamiest, get homemade. If you have to watch your sugar intake, this is not a bad replacement.

super disappointed as we love to get the regular big tubs of this brand of yogurt, thought we would let the kids enjoy a fun kids character cup. Mistake! This stuff is nasty. and taste nothing like the regular tubs.

seems as of they tried to make it even more richly colored and that was a compromise in quality in my opinion. Very frustrating as it is for kids. should be healthy without the added fake stuff they wouldn’t try to fool the adults into swallowing down.

I would not recommend this brand of kids line to others.

I feel that the colors is what makes my son want to eat it. He has autism so he has a limited amount of things he will eat. The texture is also a big plus. He can’t eat the regular ones because of the bits of fruit.

These are SO good!! although not much nutrition at least its not BAD nutrition. great afternoon snack on a hot day. Im not a huge fan of greek yogurt but i actually almost wish there was MORE in the cup but the raspberries and strawberries sweeten it up perfectly.

6g net carbs 40cal 1g protein like I said not really much of anything but thats not always a bad thing! Kids and picky eaters will definitely love this! (also for the price $1 a cup compared to what dip n dots and stuff are id say is a deal but im sure you could easily make these at home!).

Wow, I can’t believe the bad reviews. These are wonderful. Hint: take them out of the freezer and leave them out for about 10 minutes to soften before eating. They taste just like dipping dots – only better – if you have ever had those (or stolen tastes from any of your kids’ servings).

Wonderful guilt-free dessert and pretty darn natural. But I could see where if you ate them straight out of the freezer they would taste like nothing. They definitely have to warm a bit to achieve the best flavor.

BTW, Target please restock and allocate more freezer shelf space! They keep selling out as soon as they restock, if that says anything!.

By itself it gets two stars. It’s pretty sour and just bland tasting. They could have at least made the yogurt vanilla flavored or something. But with honey it’s a 10 out of 10. It brings out the flavors yet counteracts the tartness at the same time.

Like they should really add “tastes great with honey!” On the box. I guarantee people will buy it again and again after trying it like that.

As a keto guy I track my carbs and try to stay under 25 g per day. This doesn’t leave me much room for ice cream which I dearly love. A small serving of Blue Bell has more carbs than I eat in a day. I tried every “keto” ice cream bar out there and these are the only ones that taste as good as real ice cream….

Maybe not as good as full sugar premium ice cream but good enough I am happy to eat it in place of the high carb stuff. Not one of the other alternatives measure up. The bars have (for me) a higher net carb count as I don’t think it reasonable to subtract all the sugar alcohols….

malitol has a glycemic index of about half that of sucrose. Nonetheless these bars are like 6-7 grams of carbs and I can live with that.

I’ve been a fan of Bryers Low Carb, Carb Smart ice cream for awhile and came across the Bars and it was true heaven in a stick! Both the plain and almond are equally delightful treats not just for when you are low carbing- but they genuinely taste amazing and I don’t want any other ice cream bar.

My ten year old eats them too! Sometimes they’re hard to find as the stores can’t seem to keep them in stock, so when I find them I buy 4-6 boxes! No guilt enjoyment and priced right!! Perfect for dessert or a treat anytime! Crunchy coating and a soft serve type ice cream center.

The carb smart bars are a good tasting chocolate outershell- what’s not to love?.

These gave me stomach discomfort and realized afterwards they contain sugar substitutes that I am sensitive to. I was surprised they contain maltitol syrup and polydextrose (had to look up what these were and found side effects).

They also contain sucralose. I have always loved Breyer’s ice cream because of their natural ingredients so I am very disappointed in these ice cream bars. I will read the ingredients next time before buying no matter what brand it is!.

I’m addicted to this stuff, but it isn’t routinely stocked. The first time I got them, I followed the suggestion on the cup and froze them. Most of the time, not always but more often than not, it freezes such that it is creamy, not icy, and it is just as good as any other chocolate froyo you’ve ever tried.

Even when it turns out icy (which seems to be when my freezer isn’t stuffed to the gills) it is still yummy. I tried it once, as is, in its refrigerated mousse-y form and it wasn’t nearly as wonderful.

It may just be that there isn’t a single froyo establishment in a 100mi radius, so this is better than nothing. But it’s a pretty good beggers-can’t-be-chooser option. Try it frozen! (for the record, I tried the cheesecake and key lime Whips frozen and those weren’t as good).

Currently, I am about 14 weeks pregnant and trying to eat mostly healthy while getting an adequate amount of calcium. I like this yogurt in particular because it tastes almost like a whipped mousse or chocolate ice cream without all the extra fat.

I don’t eat it everyday though because of all the added sugar. Also, at around 170 calories for one serving, it’s really not that much healthier than low-fat ice cream. Still it is definitely a decadent Splurge worth indulging in 🙂 in addition, the healthy bacteria in yogurt is known to help reduce GI troubles.

I love the texture of the Yoplait Whips but this flavor is just ick. It’s not inedible or super terrible, it just doesn’t taste like chocolate. It tastes like if chocolate were sour. Sour chocolate. And not like sugary-candy-sour-patch-kids-sour, like spoiled milk sour.

Like sour cream sour. Like chocolate shouldn’t taste, sour. Like I said it’s not absolutely terrible, if I had to eat this in a survival bunker I wouldn’t really complain, but just don’t try to pass it off as chocolate or we are gonna have problems.

This is a nostalgic brand I almost had to give up until they came out with low fat frozen yogurt! My absolute favorite flavor is vanilla bean and they did not disappoint! I love it a little melted it’s like ice cream and a milkshake in a bowl.

It’s one that reach bite is savored and enjoyed. Big winner for everyone!.

I love ice cream! Its really great! I will always love ice cream! I would say that ice cream is ice cream and this is great like many others. I tend to want to spend more money on deserts so I will pay whatever honestly.

I would only eat sugar if I could.

I bought a 4 pack of the yopup probiotic packed frozen yogurt today at my local petco. The package was $10. 99 and after opening I was very disappointed as there were only two yogurt cups in the 4 pack container that I bought.

Make sure you check the count before you go home. Waste a money.

Sky loves this yogurt. Every dog does. It sales out as quick as you get it in the store. So I stocked up on it this time. It is the perfect treat for Sky when he comes in from a walk on a hot day like we have had lately.

Pleasantly surprised in the positive reaction my pups took to this yogurt cup. I’ve purchased two flavors in the past few months and they love both.

I absolutely love this yogurt! The texture is very similar to Fage regular yogurt. So glad I found it and hope it will continue to be available. It’s very hard to find a lactose-free yogurt that doesn’t contain coconut milk, almond milk or soy which I can’t stomach.

Love the taste of this yogurt. The vanilla isn’t overpowering and it is not too sweet. Perfect for adding a bit of granola or fruit. Tastes great without adding anything too! It is priced a little higher than I would like but love that it is lactose free.

The yogurt is delicious (regardless if you need lactose-free products or not). It’s creamy, unsweetened but not bitter. We tend to pour of the liquid as it separates instead of mixing it back in, so it gets thicker and more greek-yogurt like by the end of the container.

This is my first time trying this product and I opted for the sea salt caramel flavor because I LOVE caramel. I wanted to love these as I like the idea of a yogurt-based sweet, frozen treat, but these are NOT caramel flavored, they are butterscotch flavored.

The main difference between caramel and butterscotch is that butterscotch is made with brown sugar, which is represented in the ingredients. I’ve never cared for butterscotch so, therefore, will not be purchasing these again.

I WILL be trying another flavor though, as that was my only complaint about them. On another note, I do wish there were more of a variety (perhaps more fruit flavors) of flavors besides the many chocolate options, as I can’t eat chocolate.

The birthday cake flavor will probably be my next foray into Yasso bars. Looking forward to it!.
