20 Best Frozen Chicken Fried Steak (2023 Updated)

thr corn had the most flavor, next was the potato, only after adding catsup and horseradish dis the chicken havw any flavo. yes cooked as instructed had to move the potatoes from inder the chicken. als flipped the chicken half way through to at least give it an appearances of fried.

now lets on the the chicken. totally flavorless, tough and some what rubbery. But all in all beter than the bbq pork meal.

I normally buy the Tyson spicy chicken patties but they were out of stock. I decided to try these and I regret it. The gravy is nasty first and foremost but I didn’t expect it to taste good. However, while I was eating one of the chicken patties, I bit into many pieces which appear to be bone fragments.

Needless to say I am traumatized. I threw the rest of the bag away and I will never buy this again.

the chicken patties are great. the gravy not so much. I wish they made this with just the patties. so much better than other brands.

These are so delicious I eat these all the time! My daughter loves them as well I make these at least once a week best when paired with mashed potatoes gravy and macaroni and broccoli! So good

I bought a box of the garlic Parmesan boneless chicken strips the other day and was super excited to try them. I usually buy the regular ones. I was sadly disappointed with this meal. The chicken was good, I enjoyed the flavor of it it very much.

However, the mashed potatoes were horrible. I’d be lying if I said they had no flavor, that might actually be an improvement. No, they tasted like wet cardboard smells. It’s the same with all plain mashed potatoes that Banquet makes.

This meal would have gotten 5 stars if it just had a different side. White cheddar Mac-n-cheese would have been nice. All of the other chicken tender mega meal flavors I’ve eaten come with regular Mac-n-cheese and it’s usually enjoyable paired with the tenders regardless of flavor.

I didn’t realize until I opened the box that it was mashed potatoes and not a white cheddar Mac. The pic on the box looked like white cheddar Mac, not mashed potatoes. Figuring Banquet would keep with tradition I didn’t bother reading beyond the chicken seasoning flavor… mistake.

I will not be purchasing this particular variety of chicken tender again simply because the mashed potatoes ruined the whole meal for me. I’d have been better served if they just did away with the side and added more garlic Parmesan tenders because that’s the only part of the meal that I could stomach eating… Please replace the side with something else.

I really liked the chicken and wouldn’t mind eating it again, but it’s not worth the cost of it just to eat half the meal.

I thought the taste was pretty good and would have given it 4 stars but didn’t because it was salty. I forgot to check the nutrition facts on the package before I bought it. It shows 2560 mg of salt which is over 100% of the value for a whole day.

That is way too much salt. A product should never contain more that 1/3 of the daily value of any of the bad things (salt, cholesterol, fat, sugar) since this is obviously for only 1 of your 3 daily meals.

On the plus side it did have minimal sugar and a lot of protein. I wouldn’t recommend it due to the amount of salt.

Mac & cheese was pretty good, nice spice level and quite creamy but there wasn’t any other flavor other than the chili. No flavor from the cheese really. Also, green chili isn’t what I think of when I want Asian flavors.

The chicken DID NOT have any sauce on it like the description stated. That made them a little dry. I was happy with how many chicken strips I got though. (8). Probably won’t buy again though until at least the sauce issue is resolved.

I read an article from “Eat this—Not that,” which stated that this exact product “SOUTHERN STYLE… TENDERLOINS were the unequivocal best over any other because they weren’t strips or tenders, but tenderloins! Next, I waited about six weeks for them to appear in the store freezer.

Additionally, I wanted to copy McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich on a Potato Bun vs driving there and paying $4 per sandwich. Like the tenderloins, empty freezer. Low and behold, both were in stock the end of this May.

I purchased the SOUTHERN STYLE TENDERLOINS and the AIR FRIED FILLETS! Truthfully, I’ve not baked the latter, but plan to submit a review thereafter. Regarding the tenderloins, they’re very fresh, even though fully cooked.

Baked them in a Breville Countertop Oven, per package directions, and they were reasonably crisp. Also, the seasoning is excellent. The chicken itself was very soft and actually resembled a fish fillet.

I didn’t know if that’s what the article meant by the absolute best chicken tenderloin. Any chicken texture was sadly absent. Throughout a larger tenderloin, there was a light gray area between the chicken and the breading and I want to know what it is.

It has appeared on each tenderloin I’ve prepared. Although it hasn’t altered the flavor, believe me, it’s certainly not appetizing! After a tenderloin is baked to 165 degrees, I refrigerate it, unwrapped, to insure that it’s cold and ready to be sliced into chunks to provide protein in a healthy, vegetarian salad.

The “off” appearance between the breading and the chicken is definitely troubling as well as the chicken itself being soft and “mushy. ” I won’t purchase this Tyson product again nor can I recommend it to anyone.

Should have stuck with the prepared deli chicken “tenders” vs these tenderloins. Tyson, ya gotta do better than “kinda – sorta!”.

I was pretty disappointed with these. I was expecting chicken tenders but they’re huge. They’re a lot more like breaded chicken breasts. Not just that but they don’t taste all that great either. If you have a low spice tolerance, like I do, these are definitely on the spicier side.

But aside from the spicy they don’t really taste like much. Would’ve loved to see some seasonings or more flavor. They aren’t bad, they’re edible but they’re just not what I was expecting and certainly not what I would’ve wanted.

The southern style chicken tenders have a weird texture. They’re stringy and kind of mushy at the same time. Makes me think the chicken is treated with some chemical to make them more tender. I try to eat healthy as possible so I do not want added chemicals.

Also as others mentioned some tenders are so thick they take extra time baking which doesn’t work if you ha e other things on same baking sheet like fries. And yes crust is mushy under crisp exterior.

Will not buy again.

These are the only meat product my child will eat. We buy them every week and have for years. We even have to take them on vacation with us. For the past month my Kroger has not had these in stock. Help! Are these being discontinued? I noticed the bags were coming really messed up.

They were coming without the resealable piece inside. It’s like the bags were deformed. I’m afraid now they are being discontinued. Luckily I had a stock of them in the freezer but now I’m almost out.

Help! Does Kroger not carry them anymore? Where do we find them?.

When I discovered I was gluten sensitive in 2017 I was so worried that I would have to give up anything tasty and convenient unless I prepared it myself (which isn’t always so convenient especially when you are a single mom juggling work and all things life) so when I stumbled upon these chicken tenders I was intrigued.

I had been following Caulipower on IG and they were brand new. Cauliflower they say? Good they say? Hmmm I would have to be the judge of that. I went to Walmart and got a bag because I had already fallen in love with the pizza so.

Why not? I opened the bag and could smell a slight hint of cauliflower. Hmmm. I don’t know about this. I popped them into the oven and as they cooked all that I could smell was the aroma of what I equate to being a really good chicken tender.

(Almost like a popular fast food chain that is known for being gluten free friendly yet they only have grilled chicken available as an option for us. ) I remove the tenders from the oven and upon examination they look like little golden brown pillows.

Suddenly I hear what sounds like angels singing in the wind as I pick one up and move it closer to my mouth. It smells yummy! What kind of magic did they do to have the cauliflower smell disappear? At this point I was salivating and as I bit down into it I was hit with a crunch that made my ears happy.

Now, on to my tastebuds. CHICKEN!! Real chicken! Nothing processed and it was GREAT!!!! I couldn’t get enough and I have been hooked ever since. They can even be jazzed up and used in other recipes. Why not get a bag (or 2 or 5 like I do sometimes) and you then with some tomato sauce and mozzarella and have it with the Caulipower pasta for a quick and easy chicken parmesan.

Put them on top of a salad or just eat them as is like we often do! I also love to put them in the air fryer and they are a convenient way for my teen daughter to eat a healthier option. (She isn’t gluten free but she LOVES all things Caulipower!) YUM! Thank you Caulipower for bringing hope to the gluten free nation.

You have truly changed the chicken tender game!.

I am actually not gluten free. But I saw these in the store one day and had to try them! One bite and I was instantly hooked. First off, a look at the nutrition label is a seller in itself, the ingredients are super clean, and the nutrition stats are fantastic! but add it’s perfect taste on top of it and you literally have a winner (winner chicken dinner 😀 ).

They taste even better than like restaurant chicken tenders In my opinion. They cook up super easy In your oven and are great on salads, sandwiches, in wraps, I’ve even cut them up and added them to the caulipower pizzas.

And then of course, they’re amazing by themselves plain or with a dipping sauce. Go out and buy these asap! And grab one or ten of their pizzas while you’re at it, because those are insanely delicious as well!.

What a huge disappointment with this product. This was my first time trying this line and it will be my last. I love cauliflower and I like trying products that throw this vegetable in the mix. The chicken had a weird after taste, it was so damn salty but they get one star because the seasoning was good.

I have been trying to look for a healthy alternative to bread chicken but unfortunately this not it. The calories are low but the overall product left a bitter taste in my mouth. It may be the right product for someone but my taste buds did not enjoy this product.

The chicken pieces are very small and for the price point I think it’s a little pricey. Not matter how long I cook the chicken it never got crispy.

Always looking for quick fix meals that taste good, and have purchased these a couple of times. These steaks taste pretty good as a main meat with simply mashed potatoes & green beans, or as a sandwich.

Considering they are processed steak, not a true minute steak or chicken fry, they are a good value at just over $1 each. Only 2 packs of gravy for 10 steaks, so they must consider that the average family eats 5 at a meal?.

I love these chicken tenders! They always turn out so crispy and juicy! Perfect for cutting up to add to a quick salad. Orrrr I love dipping my tenders in a good ranch sauce. Bolthouse farms has a good ranch.

Oh and they’re good with sweet baby ray’s BBQ sauce also. Definitely recommend!.

These are delicious, full of Buffalo Chicken Spice/flavor, tender, and ALL white meat! We are addicted. In fact, these are now my “go to” chicken dinner. I cook these in my Air Fryer (directions for re-heating in your Air Fryer or MicroWave are on the package) for a total of about 24 mins, and serve it with an bag of assorted Romaine Lettuce, and low fat Ranch, Blue Cheese, or Italian dressing and it tastes like a Buffalo Chicken salad from a restaurant! Delicious BUT SPICY! In fact, these are numbered on the package as a “2” between Mild & Hot/Spicy and honestly, these taste more like the 3.

VERY spicy and hot but delicious all the same. I tame it with salad dressing and it does the job.

I had high hopes for these. They looked really nice frozen and even coming out of the air fryer. However eating them reveals the terrible chicken inside. Grisly, chewy and basically inedible. The coating was decent however.

Why can these companies not put out a piece of chicken that is edible? One of the patties had this weird gelatinous goo inside of it. It would move around but not drip. I almost vomited.

I’m not typically inclined to review a grocery item, but these are good enough to motivate me. I was hesitant to purchase them, but when I saw the air fryer instructions I figured it was worth a shot.

I was concerned that they would be some sort of processed patty; they are not. These are full chicken breasts, just flattened out to cook evenly. If you’ve ever made your own fried chicken breasts like this at home, you are likely familiar with this, so not a big deal.

The taste is very much like a Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich, maybe a little bit spicier. If you have little kids it might be too much for them, but if you like a good spicy chicken sandwich, this is an excellent option.

There are 8 chicken breasts in a bag, so these really are an excellent value.

These are really good. I alwaus gravitate towards food items that I can cook easily just because I hate cooking. These are very easy to make. You can just pop them in the microwave for about 3 minutes and they’re ready to eat.

The sauce that comes in the box is good but it just tastes like basic barbecue sauce that I can get anywhere. I prefer the dip them into a different sauce.

I really enjoy these chicken bites. I like that the instructions tell you how much sauce to put for the level of spice you want them to be. They make the perfect party snack. They are cheaper than the wings from the Walmart Deli.

My husband loves these for a quick meal. It says to bake for 8minutes but it needs much longer than that. They still don’t come out crispy so for that, you’d need to keep them in for 30minutes. But overall he likes them.

We buy often. Maybe would serve two people at least unless you prepare with something else.

These wings are fabulous. I love them. The flavor is good and they aren’t too hot to eat. They are tender and juicy. However, I always get 6 in a box and today I opened a box of them and there were 4 tiny wings.

For the price, I certainly hope they have not changed the amount they put in a box or I will have to stop buying them.

Pretty good for a frozen box of wings. The flavor is the same as in the restaurant. The only tough thing is that it’s hard to get these wings crispy enough to mimic the texture that you would get at Friday’s.

I always end up cooking these longer than recommended to get the wings a little crispier. Perfect to have on hand for when you have a late night craving for something a little spicy.

The TGFI Boneless BBQ Chicken wings are one of my kiddo’s favorite meals. He eats the entire package by himself. The flavor if get especially when using Ranch as a dipping sauce. I get these and keep them in the freezer for when he needs a snack, or we make a meal out of them.

My family loves Barber Foods Broccoli Cheese stuffed chicken breasts. I love that they are restaurant quality and easy to prepare. To cook, place them on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 37-39 minutes.

The creamy texture of the broccoli and cheese filling is a perfect compliment to the chicken breast. 1 breast has 20 grams of protein. I definitely recommend these for those who like broccoli and chicken.

When I want to make a fancy like dinner for my family but don’t have a lot of time, these are amazing to just pop in the conventional oven and bake away while the other sides are cooking. Very easy to make and the flavor is outstanding love the crunch on the outside of these, their breaded very well and the butter and the garnish drips out ever so slowly, love dipping the chicken in that buttery goodness.
