easy to prepare good for a fast dinner. just mix up and pan fry. i add some cumin and coriander and prepare them as falafel style also. or fry up like ground beef and add it to chili for vegetarian meat substitute.

very filling. on the salty side i dont recommend for low sodium diets. glad i bought a few of these helping keep food cost low during the pandemic and soaring meat prices.

Personally, I thought it was. I’m trying to be polite. I read all the glorious reviews, that’s what prompted me to purchase a can. Well, lets put it this way, it would definitely have to be an emergency, a moment of starvation before I’d finish this product.

I used the 4 serving directions, it actually made two three and a half inch in diameter patties a half inch thick. It needed more water than stated on the can. Upon prolonged cooking the center of the patties never became firm, but a paste.

I did not put anything on them as I wanted to taste the actual flavor. It might be ok if it was incorporated into something else you were cooking, but, as I stated before. It would defiantly have to be a life or death starvation situation before I’d eat this product with any form of satisfaction.

This was my first time buying emergency prep food so I had to try it before buying more. I Garden and can so preparedness is the norm for me. My grown children said they wouldn’t eat it if I bought anything.

Well, Lol. I made the Black bean burgers and the Creamy Chicken and rice for dinner one night. They loved it and I didn’t tell them it was emergency food. I was impressed with the flavor and ease of cooking.

I will definitely be adding many other items to my pantry for long term storage and emergencies. Shipping was lightening fast. Thank you for giving me other options. I look forward to many more orders and being prepared for anything that may come out way.

This is the third time I have ordered emergency food from this company. Each time it has been a pleasant experience. The first two times my order was shipped all the way to North Carolina in about two days.

The most recent time it took about a week. But that’s not really a big deal considering I’m not planning on eating it anytime soon. I haven’t tried any of the food so I can’t comment on taste. I purchased the products for long term storage in case of an emergency in the future.

However I have watched numerous reviews on YouTube of those who have tried the product and we’re very pleased. I plan to order more in the future as I continue to grow my supply of emergency food.

from this company. This review is not about the quality of food because I only use it for long term storage. I do keep ordering from the company for the simple reason of what they did during Covid. As we all know it took 2x time to get supplies especially long term storage supplies at the beginning of the pandemic.

My order was going to run late and I got a video message from someone in this company explaining what was happening, They went the one step further and did not leave the customer wondering. Ok the bad there is no expiration date on the outside of the container.

The expiration dates are on the inside I feel that defeats the purpose of long term storage.

Although I am not strictly a vegetarian, I really enjoy eating vegan foods. Sometimes, I just do not want to eat meat and whenever I am in that kind of mood, I am glad that I have these garden veggie burgers in my freezer.

They sort of have the same flavor as the vegetable sticks that my elementary and middle school cafeterias used to serve. They were one of the few things that I actually liked to eat from the school lunchroom! Each veggie burger is only 110 calories, has 11 grams of protein, and has 70% less fat than regular ground beef.

There are several different ways that you can cook these, as stated in the instructions, but I choose the quickest option, which is the microwave. Ready in just a minute and a half, I always have time to enjoy my favorite veggie burger, no matter how busy my day is.

These are a repeat buy for me and I cannot recommend them enough!.

In every vegan magazine across the world Green Giant Veg Burgers WERE THE BOMB. Absolute heaven. Then Morning Star bought them and they were never to be heard or seen again. I don’t understand why you buy the product; the receipe and then make it disappear.

Or why, Green Giant the hands down favorite of all things veggie burger abandoned the product line, the customers. abandoned us. All vegans who never heard or had the great good luck to try a Green Giant veggie burger, my heart weeps for you.

and then General Mills solld Green Giant altogether. Why? oh Why? oh Why? Granted Green Giant was not Le Sueur, but it was far far far better than anything else on the shelf. But General Mills dumped all of Green Giant and now we have more of the same bland canned nothingness, that if you didn’t know what you were eating, you wouldn’t know by the taste or textrue what it was.

These are good. I was surprised. For years I have been making my own from an adapted Richard Simmons receipe I created years ago. Not wanting to stand in a California summer heat kitchen, soaking, cooking, cooling, mashing, mixing both white and black beans for the base, I bought one package of these.

I went back and bought two more. The texture is a bit off as the bigger identifiable bits of ingredients tend to make the burger fall apart from itself like a slightly overly moist ‘meat’ ball, instead of holding together like a good burger texture.

BUT those bits are what give these veggie burgers the punch they need and would not be as good if ground up or if altered in a different way, imo. I still have to top it with mustard to make it edible, but not smother with mustard as I had done in the past.

I am not a fan of the spice ones, I bought those on accident. They are like eating cardboard made with chili powder. imo and only my opinion, these are the best option available on the market. Oh to have Green Giant back, the real honest to goodness receipe they sold into oblivion.

Taste was good, texture was kind of weird. Very disappointed in the size. Litterally 1/4″ thick and a little bigger around then a slider bun. For almost $5. 00 I expected better then this. Praeger’s are their first non-frozen product found in the refrigerated section next to other plant based protein alternatives. These new veggie burgers are formulated to be gluten-free, vegan utilize non-gmo produce Non-GMO.

Out of the two flavor choices I decided to go with the black bean quinoa flavor. These pack a punch with 5g of protein, 7g of fiber, vitamins, minerals only 150 calories per serving (1 serving= 1 patty).

Results: I decided to use these patties one night to create a quick fast open-faced veggie burger night. These were super easy to make! Just pre-heat your oven bake for several minutes on each side top with your favorite accoutrements.

These became delightfully crispy in the oven just be careful with playing as they can be a little delicate. These have a nice mixture of black bean, corn quinoa. I prefer more black beans but this has a nice balance of flavors.

My boyfriend is not a fan of quinoa but I didn’t tell him until after he ate it he loved it 🤫 I know it was a simple open-faced burger with just some cheese that night but we are both pretty happy with them.

I have to say I didn’t finish either box bc I felt to do so would have certainly been death by diarrhea, then dehydration. Seriously, man haley your ptofucgoon before you kill people! Those things should be illegal.

I’ve had little success finding a frozen veggie burger with a good flavor until now. I bought them on a whim and my husband (a meat-eater) and I both love them. We eat them on homemade hamburger buns with mayo, sharp cheddar, lettuce, red pepper slices, and onion.

My only complaint is that they fall apart when you eat them. But for recognizable ingredients and such a good flavor, that’s not a big deal.

I am an extreme vegan and products such as eggs(chicken menstruation) or milk(cow breast milk) I feel are just as cruel as meat. In the egg industry chicken’s beaks are often chopped off in order to fit more chickens in a space and cows are artificially inseminated in order to produce milk.

I bought these burgers to have with my salads and after eating them multiple times I look on the back to see how many calories and I come to find out that these contain EGGS AND MILK. This is incredibly disrespectful to vegans and it should be advertised that these are vegetarian and not vegan.

I had to start reducing red meat in my diet and a friend suggested the Spicy Black Bean burgers (because I LOVE burgers). Is it going to trick you into think it’s a beef burger? No. But is it absolutely tasty? Yes! Plus, they are really easy to make in the oven.

My husband and I will usually make a “double patty” spicy black bean burger because they are a bit thin. With your usual cheese and condiments, you will be satisfied! We really have come to love these burgers and will continue to buy them.

Last month, I finally decided to ‘buy and try’ the black bean burgers. Not only do I love them-so does everyone in our household. ! We’re not vegans, but we all agree these burgers are delicious! I try to keep the freezer stocked with them, but it’s tough.

I have been buying with My Patriot Supply for few years now. Their shipment is always fast and customer service is great. Although our orders have been for the sole goal of survival prep and we haven’t use it yet, we opened the Black Bean Burger can#10 this time.

It was surprisingly easy to prepare. It taste delicious and even my picky eaters love to eat the Black Bean Burgers. We will buy more of it for sure. Please continue to offer gluten free options and make sure the oats are really gluten free.

I’ve recently changed my diet and it’s been a challenge finding vegan options to match my carnivorous needs. I heard good things about this brand and decided to try it out. I didn’t know what to expect.

Straight out the package it’s a firm patty with visible vegetables such as corn and black beans. I added a bit more seasoning just in case and Cooked it in the grill. The burger isn’t bad it just has a peculiar taste I wasn’t familiar with.

I noticed after i purchased the burger that it contains soy which is not healthy and should not be consumed often. I had some mild stomach aches after eating the burger but maybe it’s because I ate two.

Overall I wouldn’t purchase again.

I’m a meat eater trying to cut down. I’ve had the Impossible burger and the Beyond. Both are good but beyond is clearly not meat and impossible is a good imitation. The ultimate burger seems to be just a notch better than the Impossible burger.

I ate it with a little cheddar on a wheat bun with some light seasoning and no condiments or additional toppings so I could really taste it. I could easily fall for it being real beef if I didn’t know.

The next step with these fake meats is making them healthier than the alternative, which they aren’t currently.

To be honest, I went into these with low expectations—but they exceeded them by far! The corn pieces were a nice touch and the patties were extremely flavorful. Not necessarily something to look to if you’re looking for a faithful meat substitute, but an absolutely delicious ( nutritious!) alternative to a beef patty.

First off, I’m a diehard, life-long carnivore but recently began trying “veggie (plant-based)” burgers. 4 Patriots Black Bean Burger Mix was offered in a 50% off deal so as I LOVE getting a good Sale, I jumped ALL over it! My granddaughter and I this weekend tried an 8-cup package and much to my surprise were DELICIOUS! I might get into another package soon as I had purchased FOUR boxes so it won’t deplete my stockpile.

I would like to add that the year’s-worth of 25-year-Shelf-Life 4-month Food Kits are also in my “GO BAG” stockpile. I am an American Military (US Army RVN grunt) Veteran and appreciate what 4Patriots does to support us.

Buy the kit. The best/worst thing that can happen is NOTHING. There you are with all that food and everything went back to normal. Or, things got really bad and the grocery store shelves are empty. The price of food (if you can get it) has gone sky high.

The Food Bank is out of supplies. You and your family are going hungry because you didn’t heed warnings this might happen. Or, life goes on as normal and you’ve got a big supply of food that’s delicious, nutritious and lasts up to 25 years.

So, what can you do? YOU EAT IT! Nothing went to waste. Either way you have plenty of nutritious food to last for as long as you need it. Either way you’re a winner. You did what common sense told you to do.

It will be your responsibility to be prepared for such times. No one will be knocking at your door with assistance and armfuls of food. You’re on your own. So, buy a few kits and be prepared for the worst.

Got the black bean burger kit for my daughter and her family in CO, they are trying to do the vegan thing (that apple fell far from this tree), even the vegan foods were wiped out in the stores during this pandemic.

She was VERY pleased seeing though it will make 96 burgers, there are individual packages of 8 servings per package, where she can use one and not compromise the 25 yr life span on the rest of them. Smart 4PATRIOTS! Perfect idea for the imperfect world right now! The peace of mind knowing they will have food in their bellies is huge at this time beings I am in SC.

What is this food voodoo?!?? If you handed me one of these patties on a bun and told me it was a breaded chicken patty, I would believe it completely. The only thing I would have to say about this faux chicken would be “can I have another one?” I’ve been trying to eat more healthily.

I love a giant cheeseburger, or a crispy chicken burger with lots of mayo and pickle slices. I don’t want to give up food that I love. So what I have been doing is finding decent (hopefully good) replacements for foods that I love, i.

e. pizza (going to make my own cauliflower crust today) and chicken burgers. There used to be a brand of “burger” called Gardenburger which I loved. But I wasn’t able to find them. So I thought I would try these Morningstar Meatless Chicken Patties, based on the reviews of generous and thoughtful Walmart shoppers.

🙂 I fired up the oven and got ready for “the chicken patty experiment. ” These Meatless Chicken Patties look like generic little breaded patties. I put one on a cookie sheet, and turned it over after about ten minutes.

That’s when I realized that- it smelled like a real chicken patty. Like the kind you get at the “cartoon sailor”‘s drive-through. It was getting nice and crispy golden brown, and smelled really good.

I toasted a keto hamburger bun (also available at Walmart- thanks, Walmart!) and added some low-fat mayo and dill pickle relish. I didn’t have any lettuce or tomato, but I didn’t want too many flavors/variables that might be distracting in the faux chicken patty test.

I took a bite. And- I was blown away. It tasted just like a breaded chicken burger. No weird aftertaste- it wasn’t mushy- it absolutely tasted like a real chicken patty. Very satisfying. And I didn’t get that sort of too-full, I ate too much grease kind of feeling that I get after consuming one of those fast food, delicious but super fattening, crispy fried chicken patties.

The first time I had fake meat was many years ago, when a health-nut buddy cooked some for me, insisting it would taste as good as real meat. It- didn’t. I would rather have eaten a deep-fried sweat sock (sorry, buddy.

). But that was in the early 90s. As that old commercial said “[we’ve] come a long way, baby!” when it comes to choosing healthy meat alternatives. I will ALWAYS have these in my freezer. Delicious- affordable- and healthy.

So I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan, but decided to try a few options for my health and weight loss. I absolutely love making sandwiches with Tyson chicken patties (Oncor is another brand). I decided to try these even though we’ve tried meatless nuggets which were DISGUSTING.

But these chicken patties have the same texture (big thing for me) and taste as a chicken patty. I definitely couldn’t tell the difference if the two were in front of me. I personally put mine between a few leaves of romaine (cutting carbs) with jalapeños – because I love ‘em! It’s my guilty pleasure midnight snack.

I would urge any skeptic to try these…because I am a SUPER PICKY human being and anyone who knows me would tell you they won’t try to feed me…my kids are worse lol.

My favorite meat alternative patty. They have a nice smoky flavor. Not as toothsome as real meat, but they still satisfy a burger craving. I eat them on buns and in wraps. They’re also good cut up and put into a quick quesadilla.

I like that I can microwave these without making the texture funky. Just don’t overcook or the edges can get chewy!.

So I just found out that I can no longer have any more beef products. Apparently I have an issue with beef in my system can’t process it anymore so now I have to eat a different version of beef. That’s the vegan/vegetarian version of meat.

I am very excited for it and I have tried it and I’ve actually loved it. It actually taste like you’re eating a real burger which gives me the satisfaction that I have had beef but the fact that it’s not is great and it’s way healthier! It is a bit pricey so I’m not a fan of price however packaging is amazing and the taste is great.

I was raised a vegetarian since birth. My family and I ate these for decades. We all agree they changed the recipe and for the WORST. And NOW Impossible burger & beyond meat, are MUCH closer to the original griller flavor I grew up on.

Currently The original griller taste like the prime griller. My family has over 200 vegetarians. The annual family bbq is crazy but we all agreed prime grillers not really good. The original griller flavor was always a staple.

So When Morningstar/Kellogs changed the original griller recipe we all instantly knew. As the years have passed WE NO LONGER BUY original grillers because of the flavors changed and every time we do buy them we are quickly reminded why we SHOULDN’T.

Theyre NOT good anymore. The flavor is off and actually unappetizing.

I’ve been vegetarian & a big fan of MSF for 30+ years. I didn’t much care for the “new” Grillers back in 2019 but they were still better than most of the alternatives. I saw they were finally back in stock a couple of weeks ago & bought a package.

They are tiny, barely two ounces each & don’t even fit on a standard bun. You’d need two of them to get the right bun to burger ratio. Second, they tasted bad, like they’d gone bad. We didn’t even eat them, I took them back to the store that night & got a fresh package.

We tried those the next night, still bad. Thinking maybe the store had a problem, I tossed them & bought a package somewhere else a few days later. Still bad. That’s what I Googled & found MSF changed the recipe again! I tossed the third package ($10+ down the drain for the two) and we got a pizza delivered.

Will never be buying these again unless I hear they’ve gone back to the original original recipe.

I’ve been eating these for a long time, and have noticed some changes and variation over the years. What has not changed is that they have a pleasant, non-beef but savory flavor that works equally well in pita bread in place of falafel, with a Southeast Asian style salad, or just on a plain toasted bun or English muffin with a dab of light mayonnaise.

At just 130 calories and 16 grams of protein, it’s a perfect choice. I agree with the negative reviews of Grillers PRIME. Perhaps there is some confusion between the two varieties. Grillers Prime has an artificial flame-broiled flavoring added, and has more fat and calories as well.

Grillers ORIGINAL is hands down the best one for flavor AND nutrition.

For complete transparency, let me first say, I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. First off, the patties don’t look half bad, a couple tend to break in half because they are a little dry and don’t hold together.

I baked the patties in a convection toaster oven according to the instructions. They came out rather nice looking. There was not that much shrinkage so they are a little bit larger in diameter than your standard grocery store burger buns.

For my first try, I ate the burger without any additional seasonings or condiments. The patties themselves are not highly seasoned so you can definitely taste all of the components. I did not think that I would see the corn kernels and other bits so that seemed a little odd.

The texture was a little dry but had enough moisture that it was easy to chew. There really isn’t much flavor to the burger patties so it requires the addition of condiments and other added items to give it more flavor.

The rest of the family had some as well, my 17 year old teenage son when asked what he thought, replied, “meh”. I had to ask him how to spell that. He said on a scale from 1 to 10 it was right in the middle as a five.

Myself, I actually didn’t mind the flavor. I’m trying to lose some weight and watch my overall red meat consumption so as an occasional substitute I would be willing to eat this instead. Overall, the flavor, texture Get a six out of 10 from me.

I wouldn’t rave about it but I would certainly not mind having it as an occasional substitute and diet component Add your own seasonings to bring out the flavor you want. It’s a neutral base to work from.

I might buy it again.

I’ve always been skeptical hesitant to try veggie burgers ( they just never sounded real appealing to me), so I was pleasantly surprised on how delightfully delicious these ‘Dr. Praeger’s Veggies Burgers’ are; I honestly enjoyed every single bite! I had to almost force my hubby and kids to try them, but once they did, not only were they shocked by the scrumptiousness, but they were hooked as well! Now I will say this, don’t go in expecting these to taste like meat, because they definitely don’t and your probably be left feeling disappointed (if your looking for meat-imitation burgers, try Impossible Burger, Beyond Burger or MorningStar Farms; they taste feel exactly like a real burger).

But these Dr. Praeger’s burgers have a pleasantly distinct taste that’s all their own and that’s both delicious and unique in the best way possible! What I really love about these burgers was their texture; it’s both juicy and “meaty” (in the non-meatless sense, of course), not at all dry and mushy (yuk)! To get this winning texture though, you got to cook them right; I recommend cooking them in a frying pan with a little bit of avocado oil.

Or if your going to grill them, What I really love about these burgers though, is that they’re made using only high quality, organic, and gluten free ingredients, unlike some of the other veggie burgers I’ve seen out there.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I have a vegan brother that told me how much he disliked this product, so before trying it, I feared it may have too strong of a taste and that I also may not like it.

I know I like what it says on the package, though! One patty is only 190 calories, contains 1 full serving of veggies, no cholesterol, lots of fiber, and includes carrots, peas, broccoli, and spinach, all of which I like.

So even if I don’t particularly like the taste, I would still eat them for the health benefits, I told myself. I tried one as a sandwich with mustard, and ketchup and could not really taste the burger much.

Then I cooked another and ate it plain, without any bread even. I could taste it much better plain, and I really liked the flavor. It actually tasted like fresh veggies and I even FELT like I was doing good and eating healthy.

So I think this is a great product, myself, and look forward to trying it microwaved, air fried, etc. And I won’t feel guilty for eating THESE burgers! I don’t see what’s not to like.

Boco has been leading the alt meat category since the jump with their assortment of palpable beef less wonders. A bunch of new tasty cool cats and calfs have flooded the space of late. I’m sure boco has new ‘’beef’ with the newbies but no doubt might need to up the flavor provide since shoppers have become more concerning and discerning.

For so long they have been the big boye and consequently charged a premium. It always chaffed my chaps these hipsters made the meatless require BOCO bucks to achieve satiety. All puns were intentional.

These are one of the OG veggie burgers and the macros are unbeatable. So low in calories and so high in protein. They have a very mild flavor so doctor up your burgers with toppings and sauces, and they’re easily one of the best burgers on the market! They’re pretty thin so they have a fast-food like quality to them if you top them the right way.

My meat eating boyfriend loves these as well as me (a vegan)!.

In my opinion these have a better flavor than the comparable Morningstar farms product. Sadly, they’re a bit small – and it appears that they’ve discontinued the “extra large” version? As of this review I can’t find “Extra Large” version anywhere ??? Best bargain patty, but the size is lacking.

Do your research, there are much more flavorful patties out there. Some at very competitive prices (especially when purchased in large packs).

Last Word: Delish! The whole family loves these tasty, convenient veggie burgers. They’re brilliant to keep in the freezer and pop on the grill, panini machine, stovetop, airfryer, or microwave. Since the whole household loves to cook, we have fun finding new ways to use these versatile burgers beyond the bun! We’ve make them into fajitas, breakfast burgers, chopped up to make a “meaty” pizza topping and our meat-eating friends are always surprised at how much they too love them! I think you can’t go into plant-based meat substitutes looking for an exact match to your meat-based foods. Instead, you have to go into it looking for a product that is enjoyable on its own merits. Boca Burger offers just that.

Not an exact copy of meat-based burgers, the Boca Burger is a wonderful, tasty, well-textured alternative to those standard, heart-disease-inducing beef burgers. The trick is to get a light sear on the outside, and to make sure you’re not just eating the burger and a bun.

Load it up with more veggies, like tomatoes, lettuce, arugula, onions, and pickles.

For approximately five years, I was a vegetarian. This was 15 or so years ago and the vegetarian options were not as readily available. The Boca Burgers and the Boca Scrambles were my go to meat substitute.

The flavor, if cooked correctly versus in a microwave, was appealing. I gave the. Boca All American Veggie Burgers 4 stars because of the texture of the burgers themselves. Overall, if you’re a vegetarian, you can’t go wrong with the Boca burgers.

As background, I have enjoying Grillers since I discovered them in 1989. I was a grad student at the time and could microwave them in my dorm room. Not bad. better than expected. A little mushy on the inside though. Also, Gardein should update the ingredient description for canola oil. They say that it’s derived from ‘rapeseed’. I think they mean ‘grapeseed’.
