20 Best Frother For Oat Milk (2023 Updated)

I’ve used this a few times, all to only heat milk and no frothing, and have been tracking the temperature of the liquid. The highest I’ve been able to get the temperature is 141 only once (oddly, the one time that I accidentally over filled it – to about 1 inch below the top).

Would be really nice to be able to get it to around 160. The last time I used it I heated the milk then immediately turned it back on 3 more times hoping it would continue to increase the temperature.

First temp was 117, second was 122, third was 128, and fourth was 121. When done, it seemed to have created a slightly burnt skin on the bottom of the cup that ended up floating to the top. The instructions do say to let it sit for 3 minutes between uses, but since I don’t really have much of a use for it with the temperatures it provides, I didn’t really care if I broke it.

I tried it again with 3 minutes between uses, without changing out the milk, and here are the results: Starting milk temp = 45. 7 First run = 124. 4 Second run = stopped after about 10 seconds, 127. 9 Third run = (waited another 3 minutes) it ran for a full 3 minutes this time, 126.

1 Maybe I broke something when I used it four times in a row without waiting between runs, but even the first run wasn’t what I was expecting. So far, this liquid heater seems pretty useless for what my expectations were.

I ordered this to make steamers at home. When it arrived, I was missing the mixing attachment. After reaching out to costumes service, I am thrilled. I was only looking for the missing attachment, but they sent me the whole package.

I got a second unit delivered within days of my inquiring. A huge surprise. They are responsive and super nice. Great company! My only con is probably the same across all these types of warmer/frothers, I wish it was hotter.

I run it through two or three cycles to ensure I get a temperature I want. But I am trying to get a “steamer” so it’s warmer than most applications this is used for. Otherwise, really happy with this purchase.

Would buy from them again.

When I first started with a Keto diet plan I added the morning “bullet-proof” coffee (BPC). However, using a blender to mix it all was just a mess to clean. I decided to try one of these Zyliss frothers and have been using them to prepare my BPC coffee now for many years.

They spin fast enough and the frothing wheel does a great job. The caveat is that you have to froth/mix with only half the cup filled and then add the rest of the coffee later (stir with a spoon) or else the coffee flies everywhere.

I use rechargeable batteries in mine. They don’t last forever (a year or slightly more) as the motors just seem to die eventually. Keep backups!.

I don’t often write reviews, but if that one can help! I was super hesitant because there are so many different models of milk frother! The one I bought a few months before already broke, so this time, I was ready to put a little bit more money, and have a good one.

I picked up that one based on some quick research, and I’m super happy! It’s super quick to create a good milk foam, and it looks robust, compared to the previous ones I had, and that broke.

I don’t usually write reviews but this little gadget is fantastic. It whips up foam within seconds, is an absolute bargain for price, easy to use and keeps on working. I”ve had it now for over 6mos with no problems at all.

I bought it on a whim but now use it continually. Much cheaper than buying an expensive cappuccino maker. Uses batteries. It’s truly a steal for the price. One of life’s little pleasures to find a gadget like this.

I bought this frother because I wanted something where I did not have to replace the batteries AND I support small Mom and Pop businesses like Zulay. This frother is amazing. It has so much power that I could probably hold it behind my lake raft and it could act as a propeller and drive the raft.

It does not mix my coffee it blends my coffee into a creamy frothy mix. The only downsides to this product are it does not come with a stand that Zulay’s Milk Boss frother comes with and if you use a small cup the contents will spill over.

Use a larger cup and utilize the power this product has to give. Also, I have bought other products from Zulay and when I had a problem they remedied it right away. Give this small family run business a try, they have amazing products and they really care for their customers.

A rarity in todays business world. UPDATE 7/1/21- Bought another one since I take it with me when I travel. Now I have one at home and one for the road.

I’ve been through four or five frothers over the past couple of years. Finally, this one is easily the winner. I recharge it every week instead of replacing batteries. I wish it came with the stand but I’m using one from another frother I bought and it works fine.

It will also sit upside down on the handle, so that’s not a big deal. I used to froth milk in a separate coffee mug but with this frother it would often go over the top. I now use a small creamer pitcher instead and it works just great.

Cold, fat free milk works best for me. I love the flavor and consistency on top of my coffee. The two frothing tips that come with it are handy and easy to change. I kinda wish it had a momentary contact switch in addition to the off/on switch.

So I sent this frother back but why do I give 5 stars – because the company is great. I bought the Zulay basic frother and really like it. I thought I might like a more powerful one and one that does not run on batteries so I bought this one too.

This one charges up fast but wow, it is powerful. I like to froth my cream in my coffee cup and this was too strong for that. This could whip all kinds of things! And the on/off switch is just that – on or off, where the other one you hold down and that’s easier for frothing.

SO – highly recommend if you want strong and on/off. The company has great customer service and responds quickly to any questions or concerns.

I bought this frother back in January and it was great! It does a great job with plant-based milks as well which other frothers I’ve used haven’t managed quite as well. Unfortunately, the handle on the milk container broke last week while I was washing it.

Zwilling requires you to send in the broken piece and then has a 6-12 week processing time wherein which IF they determine it should be replaced, they’ll send you a replacement. Not an acceptable process for a relatively expensive piece that is likely to be used every day.

After several phone calls and emails, they’re sticking to their guns on this so I’ll be buying something else from a company that better builds and supports its products.

This frother is just what we were looking for: a stainless steel vessel without unnecessary nonstick coating. It delivers high quality froth and automatically heats to a temperature that is not scalding.

It is very quiet in operation. It takes several minutes to go through the frothing and heating cycle, but my hunch is that it takes longer than other frothers on the market because it heats the milk gently.

It would be perfect if the internal frother wand was also stainless, not plastic, but it is very difficult to find plastic-free products these days. In sum, highly recommend.

Zwilling frother is easy to use, easy to clean and elevates your everyday coffee. I love the stainless steel container (no worries about harmful chemicals as would be with a nonstick coating). The container swaps rates for pouring and is a breeze to clean.

I use 2% milk and it heats and froths beautifully- just like a coffee shop latte. No going back to flat milk in my coffee anymore. I previously bought a “no name” frother from Amazon that stopped working after 2 months.

I’ve had it 3 weeks, using every day and it is probably the best purchase I have made all year. Can’t get to Starbucks these days, but now I can make my own Chai Tea Latte – as you see in the picture! Frothier and so delicious in literally 2 minutes.

No Assembly, just add 2 AA batteries and you are good to go. DIRECTIONS for my pictured drink: I use plain Soymilk (1/2 cup), heat it in the microwave in my coffee cup, then pour that into my frothing cup (which for me is a tall drinking glass, lol) and put an 1/8 cup of Tazo Classic Chai Tea liquid into the micro for 15 seconds (in the now empty coffee cup), while I use the Zulay Frother on my warm soymilk in the glass (tilt it a little while pressing the button on top).

It literally takes like 10 seconds to froth because I like a whole lot of froth! Then you let it sit for 10 seconds while you run the Zulay under water to clean off the milk, dab it dry with a cloth, put it back on it’s stand and then pour your milk into your warmed Chai Tea.

Let the milk run into the cup first (like they do at Starbucks), then just let the froth fill up the rest of the cup. It is amazingly quick and scrumptious! No more going without! lattes!!.

This battery powered frothed fits that bill and we are so impressed. It takes two AA batteries, which were super simple to install. The frother works perfectly for single or double serve drinks, and creates a perfect froth in SECONDS! The motor isn’t too powerful, but powerful enough to mix liquids in depths of up to about 5/6 inches (the deeper the liquid, the mor friction on the frother).

I did not know I needed this in my life. I saw a video of someone obsessed with the drink, London fog (earl grey tea, vanilla & milk), and she offhandedly mentioned you can easily make your own if you get a frother.

Thank you other reviewers for ranking this so high. At home I mostly make different versions of drip coffee because frothers seemed so “extra”. So to put this little guy together, you do need 2 double A batteries.

It comes with a little stand. I made a very strong drip coffee (blue bottle Bella Donovan), warmed up whole milk in the microwave, stuck the frother in the middle of the milk, wiggled it around a bit, and poured it into my mug.

Added 3 tsp of sugar, I like it sweet, it was so good!!! So perfect. Plus the side of the box has a QR code with a link to some recipes, a coupon and it automatically registers your warranty. Pretty awesome! I’ve only made 1 drink but I’m super excited for future matcha lattes and practicing latte art.

Also! my coffee shop costs like $5 almost $6 for a latte, I’m lactose intolerant so every latte I have to pay $0. 70 more. I just hate that, overall this will save me money and I get my cozy, caffeine fix in the comfort of my own home!.

I use my new Zulay frother every day for cappuccino or a flat white. i use heavy cream mostly. 4-5 seconds is all it takes. If your coffee’s hot, put the milk/cream in the coffee cup first (with sweetener), froth it, then pour in the coffee, with a quick touch to mix it in.

If your coffee needs reheat, while you heat that, put the milky product in a separate cup, froth it up, add sweetener to your reheated coffee, stir with the frother (half a second!) and pour in the creamer.

Quickly touch up with the frother – (half-second touches! or you’ll have to clean up a spill) And enjoy!! Almond, soy or oat “milks” take a bit longer to froth up well. To make chocolate milk or hot cocoa, mix sweetener into cocoa powder, then add that to your hot or cold bev.

HALF FULL. Froth for 20-30 sec. Top off your drink and quickly stir with a few taps of the switch. Cleaning is quick. run hot water, shield the frother with your hand and spin it up for a few seconds.

Hang it up to dry. Use LITHIUM AA batteries. they almost never leak and they last longer. Alkalines will crap out sooner, then LEAK and ruin your battery-powered equip. every time.

I use this little aerator to make my cold coffee foamy. I use it every day, every morning. It is well worth the money (i. e. , not expensive) for what is used for. In concept, it’s cool in that It definitely does its job; however, I was not aware that you had to depress the button at the top the whole time you need to use it.

With arthritis in my thumbs, this quickly becomes uncomfortable. The other aerator I owned had a sliding “bar” on the side you could just slide up or down to make it operate or stop, as needed. Replacing the batteries is difficult & I also am not a fan of the top of the counter holder/”stand” that comes with it.

If not in that holder, it just has to lay on its side on the counter. (Maybe it could be made with a flat bottom???) All in all, it has its little problems, in my opinion, but it does do what it is advertised to do.

From the price point, it is a good value. I just have some minor issues with it.

This is not Ikea Produkt, but an unbranded frother that can be bought on Chinese selling platforms for less than half a quid. Having owned ikea produkt in certain this has nothing to do with the Swedish brand; the ikea frother was flimsy, this is much worse and flimsier.

Overall very unsatisfactory. If you’re after the ikea branded one, this is not it.

It is so difficult to get the batteries in that I had to find a youtube video to show me how. It appears to be a common problem because there are several videos on youtube on the subject. Once I finally got the batteries in, the frother would not turn off.

The on/off switch is not working well. My recommendation is if you can spend a few more dollars, get a better brand of frother.

I bought THREE of these (for my mum, sister and myself) NONE worked, we bought different packs of batteries and still nothing. With the price of gas it’s literally more expensive for me to return these than to just take the loss.

The product also feels very low quality, almost like a toy. Hopefully whoever is reading this can save their money!!.

I have been using this nearly everyday for approx two months now. I have found it works best with Oatmilk for non-dairy options (I use the Trader Joe’s one that comes in the refrigerated section vs their shelf stable box for best foam).

I also love the cold foam option. I am confused a bit though. The description says it offers 3 types of milk preparation, what is the third “hot milk” option? And how do prepare it without foam? No problems with it leaking or overflowing because I FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and don’t fill past the “Max” line inside the container.

To clean, I rinse out and re-fill with some water and occasionally a tiny drop of dish soap and press the heat button so that the soap and water mix into all the moving parts (like cleaning a blender).

Definitely recommend adding this as an extra if buying a new machine!.

At first, I thought what on earth could I do with a milk frother. Sure the product looks amazing and elegant and it can froth milk, but besides that, I was wondering what it could do for me. That wonder quickly disappeared once I got the product and discovered the many things it can do.

It was extremely easy to set up, it was literally taking it out of the box, removing the packaging, and plugging it in. It was that simple. The first thing I used it for was to make whipped cream or rather frothed milk to try on my hot chocolate.

I used the cold setting, which was very simple to activate as there is only one button, which removed any confusion, and it actually created cold-frothed milk. The frother took no time at all to finish, it was so much quicker than I thought it would take.

Let me tell you that it was amazing, it created such light and delicious frothed milk that was actually cold. It elevated the drink and took minimal effort to prepare. Simply plug in, pour milk, click the button, and it’s done in a minute, it’s incredible.

We all know that idea that when you get a small appliance like a milk frother, it’ll be a lot of work to clean. You couldn’t be more wrong with this product, the cleaning process was hassle-free and didn’t take any time at all.

I love that the whisk pit in the frother can be removed, which makes cleaning even more of a breeze. I also tried the product when making a latte as I thought I should at least try it with coffee. Once again, the whole process was so simple, even this time when I used the hot setting.

It took no time to finish and it produced such a light and airy frothed milk. There was minimal liquid as it was mostly converted to frothed milk, which was great. I loved the size of the milk frother and the helpful max milk markings too.

Although it doesn’t look like a lot of milk when you use the whisk bit, it creates tons of frothed milk that you can use in 1-2 cups of coffee depending on how much milk you want. My only concern is that it did not create an overly warm froth, so if you are thinking of using this product to create warm milk, it might not be the best product for you.

However, this product can do many great things at such a quick speed that that one issue shouldn’t stop you from buying this product. After doing some more research, I’ve learned that there are so many other applications for this appliance and there are so many different drink creations I can’t wait to try.

You may feel the same way I did before purchasing this product, what is the point of this product and why do I really need one? But after you buy it and try it for a couple of days, you definitely won’t regret buying it at all.

The Aeroccino is a convenient, easy-to-use, quality milk frother. While the instructions in the book were rather limited, the setup and assembly/disassembly is simple – consisting of the electrical base, the milk frother container, the clear lid, and the mixer/frothing whisk.

This made it easy to set-up and clean. This device and its parts all feel great quality and long-lasting. The possibilities are endless, I was almost overwhelmed with where to start. The box says there are 20 recipes but when I navigated to their Nespresso Recipes website online and filtered it to “Aeroccino Inspirations”, there were only 9 drink recipes.

However, these recipes and some YouTube videos helped spark some creativity though. This device made it very easy and hassle-free to recreate the coffee shop experience at home. It’s set it and forget it – you simply add the ingredients, select the heating or cold frothing mode, and the machine runs for the predetermined amount of time (60-80 sec).

You would typically brew the coffee separately and then add the milk froth on top of the coffee to make a cappuccino, or add the coffee on top of the milk froth to make a latte. You can also make lattes directly in this device by using instant coffee and milk; the device will heat, mix, and froth the drink for you.

This device is also great for making matcha lattes, which typically requires a lot of whisking to dissolve the matcha powder, but this machine again makes it very convenient. You can also make cold drinks by adding the ice directly to the machine or pouring your creation over ice.

The device itself is very quiet, barely making a hum. All of these features make it quick and quiet to use in the morning before running to work. The quality of the milk froth is great, it’s a nice extra touch to both hot and cold coffee drinks.

The frother works great for both whole and semi-skimmed milk. It’s not intended for milk substitutes like almond milk, and it doesn’t work well for these types of milk. The container is limited to 250 mL/8 oz capacity of liquid, otherwise you risk it from overflowing, but it is quick to whip up multiple servings.

Overall, this milk frother feels like a premium addition to any coffee experience, any coffee lover would enjoy it. It particularly pairs well the premium machines and coffee you can expect from Nespresso.

This is one nifty little machine! It efficiently and quietly froths (up to 8oz) dairy or nondairy milk for yummy lattes. You can do a cold, warm, or hot froth which is pretty awesome. It can also just heat (up to 12 oz) your milk without frothing.

The Capresso website has a huge inventory of delicious recipes giving you loads of coffee shop inspiration right at home. I’ve had so much fun trying out several of the recipes and they’ve all been really good! One of my favorite features is that the frothing disks are magnetic and store under the base of the device so I don’t have to worry about losing them! The machine as a whole is compact, not taking up much counter or cupboard space – a necessity in my kitchen! The machine is extremely stylish, user friendly, and all of the pieces are easy to clean.

I highly recommend the Capresso froth MAX for anyone looking to cut back on the expense of a coffee shop and enjoy cafe quality lattes and hot chocolate at home.

In my evaluation, if you are looking to replace a steam wand, keep looking. The froth is not foamy enough to make a good cappuccino. However, it works well if you want to make cold or warm drinks like a hot chocolate or a latte.

Note I used 1% milk. It is easy to use; heating and frothing a cup of milk in 4-5 minutes… and it is very hot. It has three settings; cold, warm, and hot, plus attachments for frothing or just heating that are neatly stored on the bottom of the machine.

The measurement markers on the outside of the carafe are a bit hard to see. Be sure to read the set up instructions, because if you put in too much milk, it will certainly overflow, as it creates a vortex to froth.

A nice addition would be some recipes in the instructions, but if you are creative, that shouldn’t be a problem.

This little machine definitely improves my morning coffee and makes it feel like a real treat! It is small and doesn’t take up much space, but does its job well. I was surprised at how quiet it is! I can easily run it without waking my children in the morning, which is a definite plus.

I love that it has 3 different temperature settings as well. I can whip up chocolate milk for my kids on the cold setting. The warm setting is great for kids hot chocolate, and the hot setting is perfect for my coffee! My only slight complaint is that even when I only fill the frother to the minimum line, it is still too much for what I need.

I have probably a quarter cup of waste everyday. Because of this I think I will only use it on the weekends when my husband is home too. It will be a nice weekend treat!.

I bought this and the nespresso. The nespresso is surely nice looking but i ended up keeping the delonghi since i like more foam. and the foam sat flufflier than the nespresso for a longer period of time.

Price wise almost the same. But for the looks this one looks ” cheaper”. Can’t have everything.

I bought this quite a few months ago and use it multiple times a week. This is clearly the best frother I have ever owned. It makes a nice stiff foam and exactly what I was looking for. It’s very consistent and easy to use.

excellent at frothing milk – I had broken a few glass ones previously – also can be used to whip egg whites. A little bigger than I expected so often it filled to a very low level requiring a bit more effort (reason for the 4 vs 5).

This design is the one you want because it is easy to clean thoroughly. Other Bodum frothers have a domed lid that can’t be taken apart but can get dirty dish water inside so is impossible to know how clean it is.

The glass is still fragile so you will want to pump the frother only when the glass is resting on a pot holder, a cork mat or another surface that provides some resilience. The advantage of using this frother rather than the steamed milk attachment on your espresso machine is that you do not dilute the milk and how get a much firmer foam.

Especially great for dry cappuccinos!.

This is easy to clean and works great. The directions are pretty straight forward. I used 2% with a little flavored coffee creamer and filled up to the line. I heated the milk in the microwave until slightly warmer than room temperature and beat the milk for about a minute until it doubled and let it set.

it is dishwasher safe, although I hand washed the lid. This would be a nice gift for any coffee lover or to make an extra special cup of coffee on the weekend. This is the best and my daughter stole mine so I had to get a new one!!.

Pretty cool gadget & looking forward to my Fluff!!! with my coffee every morning & husband loves to drizzle honey all over the fluff. Tried different milks for best fluff, of course is whole milk. I tried my favorite creamer Silk Half & half coconut & oat worked pretty good but, lots more up & down to get fluff.

Live rural & no one carrying the Silk or supply chain issues now? Going save $ go to just buying Organic Grass Feed (aren’t all cows Grass feed? Save lots $ not doing Starbucks.

This is THE MOST EXCELLENT frother. So simple, perfect every time. I’m really super spoiled about my foam now.

We’ve had quite a few WHICH recommended bean to cup coffee machines all of which have produced a great cup of coffee. However, we also wanted something more portable that we could use whilst away from home.

We eventually settled on a Lavazza A Modo Mio MilkEasy Milk Frother together with a Bialetti Brikka Stove-top Espresso Coffee Maker. And WOW. ! If you enjoy hot froth or milk with your coffee then the Lavazza Frother doesn’t disappoint.

I only wish we had discovered this frother sooner as well as the Bialetti Brikka coffee maker. In combination they produce a coffee e. g. flat white that’s significantly better than any of the expensive bean to cup machines we’ve used at a fraction of the price! And the Lavazza frother makes excellent hot chocolate too!.

Great bit of kitchen bling. Near silent operation and very simple push button sequence to operate. Lovely results. So why only four stars ?. One star lost as internal milk level gauge is effectively a series of small raised lines on the metal liner.

You look into the grey cylinder and keep rotating it until visible. Best done with good light on above ! I don’t wear glasses (or need them) but can imagine it could be a struggle for others. Even if the indented lines were all around inside the cylinder it would assist.

Maybe other owners just use a known quantity of milk once familiar ? It is compatible with the branded coffee machine if upgrading at a later date, just sitting on a docking base in place of its stand alone one.

Would recommend to all, adding a bit of luxury to your drinks.

This was my first purchase of a milk frother so it took me a couple tries to understand it. The batteries i put in were from my remote which i figured out later that it made my frother work really slow.

So i put brand new batteries in and it worked really fast and dissolved things well, but then it would just stop working in the middle of it. I’d try multiple times pressing down the button trying but it never worked.

I put a second pair of new batteries and the same thing happened. Would work great onw minute then a second later stop working. It has been out of commission for me for days now and idk how to get it to work again.

I spent a lot of money on the matcha bundle (not including the bag) so i’m disappointed that this is a dud.

It’s a regular milk frother. You can get one on Amazon for half the price. But I like the color and the branding is minimal so it looks nice on the counter. The stand is also nice to have. I would wait for a sale on accessories if you can.

But if you do buy it it is solid and not a waste of money. It’s battery operated and turns on/stays on when you press a button on top. Releasing the button stops the frother. I like it better than a switch that I have to turn off because I don’t risk the milk splattering everywhere just to turn it off.

Given this, I give it a four. Not a five because I still feel like it might break easily. So just be careful and you’ll be fine.

I love this frother. It’s cheaper than other milk frothers of the same quality and it has a sleek look. I love that it come with a holder to easily store the frother when not using it. It works by holding the button down and it turns off when you stop pressing the button which helps avoid messes made by forgetting to turn off the frother.

Love all of the Chamberlain coffee products I’ve bought so far.

Was very excited to try this frother. While it works fine, it forces the user to toggle through powering off, then on, and repeat this process through all 3 speeds in order to return to the 1st speed.

I blend my coffee on 1st speed, then turn it off. I am tired first thing in the morning, and not remembering to toggle through all speeds to bring it back to 1st speed. My husband then uses it (he uses a tall thermos and the blender head is at the bottom of the thermos) which now turns on at speed #2, and ends up spraying hot coffee all over him and the counter.

You have to press the power button 6 times from beginning to end to guarantee the next use will be at 1st speed. Not much thought put into the design. It’s now in my drawer, and back to using my faithful $5 frother from Ikea.

Attachments are also a nightmare to take off as others have mentioned.

I love that it has three settings on it. Does a great job of frothing, lots of power. Only drawback is you have to click through all the settings for the speeds to get back to the low one if you want.

But once you get onto it it’s very easy to use. Push the button once and let go not like my other one where you had to hold the button I forgot ended up frothing one of my drinks over the counter. but I have since learned and it is great.

also fantastic that you just charge it, rather than have to change batteries. Well-made good size good quality I recommend it.

I found it to be very impractical. The detachable heads are nearly impossible to remove, the directions just said to simply pull it off, but I had to pull so hard I actually bent the dang metal. Now it’s super wonky.

Both heads are very difficult to remove. The speed, even the lowest, is way too powerful, drink goes everywhere. Plus, why is it so big? I’ve had multiple handheld frothers and this one is just not great.

It’ll froth your milk, sure, but so much crap to deal with on the side, not worth it.
