Best Friends First Lesbian Experience (2024 Updated)

This is the first Hendrix Grady book I have read. In all honesty i was intrigued by the cover and had heard so many good things about the author on book review sites like goodreads. From the start I just knew this was a book for me.

It was an easy read jam packed with references from the 80s. It was so nostalgic and it really makes you feel that you have jumped in a time machine and gone straight back to the era. The era of great catchy music and big boxed vhs tapes.

Each chapter relates to a song from the 1980s and without giving any spoilers away it is a book that you just can’t put down. Tongue in cheek at times a story of a great friendship. Can’t wait to read more by this author.

My Best Friend’s Exorcism really was an enjoyable read. The retro revival of the ’80s aesthetic over the last few years has undoubtedly left a lot of people fatigued, so I would understand why someone might be repelled by this book at first glance.

The packaging of this book, however, is what drew me towards it. After reading the first few chapters, it truly felt like a story written in it’s time. The aesthetic held the story together so organically, that the pop culture references didnt break the 4th wall; unlike 90% of Ready Player One.

Witnessing the friendship between the two main characters grow also enhanced raised the staked in all of the events leading up to the titular exorcism. There were genuine moments of horror, moments where I laughed audibly, and some pretty emotional moments as well.

My only real criticisms would be that there are a few cheesy moments that stood out for me, a few of the conflicts felt drawn out, while others resolved a little too quickly, and there was at least one plotline with a minor priest character that was sort of abandoned, but none of these criticisms ruined the book for me.

I judged the book by its cover and got exactly what I wanted out of it. It’s not going to become a classic, but it was a good read overall. I’d reccomend giving this book a read to anyone who’s a fan of the genre, and isn’t afraid to indulge in something on the silly side of things.

I loved this novel. Even though the title sort of tells what is going to happen, it is still full of so many surprises. It was such a great novel and it was definitely well written and organized. This novel quickly became my favorite novel of all time.

I feel like it is very descriptive of the time and is 100% amazing. I will definitely be reading Grady Hendrix again.

5 stars is just not enough! I was literally laughing out loud at some of the conversations between the characters. I felt that I could relate to the characters and see myself in them. I was emotionally invested in them from the first page.

I did tear up a few times from sadness and happiness. It was a roller coaster of emotions but a ride I would definitely take again and again!.

OMG!!! I can’t wait to read the next story now! I laughed, I cried, I tackled my husband in the middle of the book because your writing is fantastic! The book lived up to the hype and beyond. The first book in a long time I haven’t been able to put down and am now way past my bedtime but I HAD TO FINISH IT! Also, I need to fit a potato gram into my life.

Such an amazing book. I was nervous to read it at first having some identifiable emotional issues myself as the character, not to give the story away but I’m so glad I did. This is a must read.

I bought these slippers based on the previous comment (now deleted), thinking if they were too wide for her, they would be perfect for my wide feet. But when they arrived, they looked different from the picture I saw on the site, and I realized they are not going to stretch.

(I think everyone is now changing their designs so that they won’t stretch). They are very well made slippers, and I really wanted to wear them in cold weather, but I knew my wide feet won’t be comfortable in them, so instead of returning, I decided to give them to my friend who has medium/narrower feet.

I am sure she will love them. I wish they made ones for wide feet, but these are for medium/narrow feet people.

These are nice shoes of good quality- well worth the money. The removable/washable insoles are a great detail. Very warm and comfy – the only detractor is that the insoles are backed with that white stuff that feels a little like styrofoam so they don’t breathe very well.

As a sufferer of very cold feet, I’m not complaining too much but it would be nicer if they didn’t cause my feet to feel slightly sweaty. These replaced a pair of Ugg coquette mules – those being actual leather did not produce this unpleasant sensation BUT they are a lot more expensive and the insoles went bald in two years.

Maybe I’ll try a pair of Ugg replacement insoles in these shoes. Overall, these are a great value, fit well, and feel pretty good.

My former mother in law gave me a pair of these years ago and they were just absolutely wonderful! Even though my feet were almost too big, I was comfy in them for years until my puppy (now knowing better dog) ate them.

It was so hard to find a replacement pair so thank you Old Friend and Tractor Supply!.

I’m so happy I bought this. This book is so hilarious and I love it. If you’re on the fence about buying this, please buy it. You won’t regret it!

Lovely idea and a true fan will love, but take into consideration that it is unauthorized – it shows where the quotes are taken from (Buzfeed etc.). Otherwise – you’ll love it!

One does not simply eat their friend, but if they do, this is the book for them. A beautifully simple and fantastically constructed story for kids with a colourful imagination and a wild side. As a parent the plot made me laugh and the illustrations were highly enjoyable.

If I were to write children’s books, it would be like this, funny, cheeky and with the essence of a moral message. The notion of friendship, loving others as they are and acceptance is noticeable without being too much.

A fine balance between entertainment and education. I would say my favourite part of this book was when my 3 year old son looked at the cover and said “it’s me!” I know this was purely a physical comparison but I’d like to think he will read this book and grow up to be a thoughtful and accepting friend.

This book is hilarious. Its simple, short and the illustrations are great. I used it in my kindergarten class to teach predictions. The kids were cracking up at the ending. Highly recommend!

My son is 3 and is completely taken by this book. He has asked for it every night since we gave it to him about 3 weeks ago. He knows it so well now that he ‘reads’ it himself, or reads it to us – fantastic to see because he now recognises words like “Hello”, “No” and “Ate”.

Artwork is unique and effective, great for kids and adults alike. A funny story that we just love! Hope to see more from Heidi McKinnon soon.

” This is small piece from the very last poem in New American Best Friend called “Ode To The Women On Long Island. ” This small quote from the poem in my opinion summarizes up this entire collection of poetry.

Olivia Gatwood paints such a descriptive and vivid portrait of adolescence. It almost makes you nostalgic, but only after briefly making you cringe a little at some of the things you wasted your time completely obsessing over like changing things about yourself, pretending not to like certain things you absolutely love just to fit in with the popular girl.

This collection took me back to those long hot summer days of being young and reckless with friends in poems like Dry Season, 2003. The poem Alternate Universe In Which I Am Unfazed By The Men Who Do Not Love Me makes me seriously wish it was written back when I was 18 and leaving the house to experience the world on my own.

It could’ve saved me so much unnecessary time and heartbreak. This collection is short and I could’ve totally read 50 more pages of whatever Olivia Gatwood wanted to share with us. But even though it is a a short collection it is sprinkled all throughout of a young woman who through it all kept kicking and screaming.

Definitely a must read for anyone who is a poetry fan.

Olivia Gatwood writes beautifully of what it means to be a girl throughout the many stages of life. It is an immersive experience and I have gone back many many times to reread her work. It has touched me on so many levels and I never get tired of reading her words.

The book is small and sleek and has a great finish. You can’t go wrong with this one.

I loved everything about this book. I read it all in one sitting. I wish it was longer. The poetry showcases some of the hardships of being a woman which I think was done beautifully. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for some good poetry to read.

I only read a few lines of the book, however, my thoughts were to provide tools (book) to help my young granddaughter. I trust the Pleasant Company concepts. I have read many other books that are based on the American Girl excellent reputation.

Even at 9 years old she is experiencing Peer Pressure with friends, emotional roller coaster events and just trying to understand what to do in situations. Anything we can offer to help along with parental counsel is an asset.

This will help to prepare them with “Life’s Little Challenges!”.

Great book. I bought it for my 10 yr old. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to get good advise from another perspective. American girl books are great that way.

She seems very interested in it. Lots of age appropriate, helpful relationship advice for girls.

Got two rings for my best friend and I for her birthday and she loved it! The quality is great and does not stain your skin or anything. It also fits really well. The rings are beautiful. Absolutely obsessed! I will definitely buying from them again!.

I purchased 2 of these rings in gold for my grand daughters 9&8 yrs old in size 5. There was no way to really know what size to buy so I purchased some ring guards too. The band of the ring seemed well made and fit both of the girls.

However, the stone size compared to the picture on Amazon was sadly misrepresented. I could barely see the stones but my daughter loved them and thought her girls would too. The girls did love them. I’m ordering 1 more 1 size larger for one of my grand daughters.

I think for the price the materials and construction were really good. I just couldn’t get over how small the stones were.

I took these during my period this month for the first time and THEY WORK. They made my heavy flow ease up and really helped me feel more energized and stronger during my period. I have fibroids and my flow is really terrible the first few days.

These lamps are great! I bought one for me and one for my best friend. After moving, I thought these would be a great addition to our home offices since we’re both remote workers. They’re great! I had to try a few times to get the lamp connected to wifi since I couldn’t use the bridge device.

Once that was set, it was easy to create a group in the Filimin portal and connect our lamps. I get this big goofy grin on my face whenever the lamp lights up. This product is wonderful. It’s quite easy to set up even for those of us who are technologically lacking. The fact that I can touch pretty much anywhere on the lamp and it lights up a beautiful range of colors and sends that same color to my multiple family members is awesome! It helps all of us to feel closer even though we are actually miles apart! We all have adapted to calling it the “Love you light” This is a truly heart warming gift and I would recommend this to everyone.

It’s not just for those who are miles apart, I have a separate one for my sister who lives less than a mile away from me, but when we light that one it lets the other know “I’m home safe” This is wonderful to not only send “love you lights” but to also give you peace of mind knowing your family is home and safe!.

I was so excited about these lamps. I previously bought lamps as gifts for 2 separate sets of sisters. This year I decided to buy 8 lamps to give as gifts for my group of cousins in Brazil. The 2 lamps that would be used in the US have been set up for a couple of months while the others will be gifted on Christmas this year; however, I’m already extremely disappointed.

My sister’s lamp goes offline very frequently and she has expressed frustration with it and now mine is doing the same thing and other problems. For the last 2 days my lamp remains lit in a solid white color and no troubleshooting has resolved it.

I’ve done everything multiple times and nothing. I finally just had to unplug it and send a message to the company in hopes it can be fixed. It’s extremely frustrating to think this gift which cost an insane amount of money (8 lamps!!) will simply end up as paper weights because they don’t function as they should.

I was beyond excited about bringing these extremely thoughtful gifts to Brazil and giving them to my cousins; however, after about 2 months of trying it out with my sister, I’m just disappointed and regretting this decision.

I ordered 2 of these hoodies for my daughter’s. They got there promptly and we were so excited to get them. But they shouldn’t be called hoodies. I expected them to have any kind of thickness. They are super cute! But again these shouldn’t say hoodie they should say long sleeve shirt.

These are so thin. A little honestly goes a long way.

Picked these up to replace some old cams that made up my first trad rack. Coming from cams that were circa late 80’s early 90’s these things are sick! Have only climbed on them 3 separate times and about 7 pitches worth of climbing but these are my initial thoughts.

Really lightweight, the camming action is smooth and the trigger is easy to work with. I like the extendable sling, it’s fairly easy to extend with one hand. Haven’t figured out the best usage scenarios for the extendable sling yet but it’s a neat feature.

Somewhat of a bummer that you lose 2kn when extended but if you’re putting 10kn of force on your cam you have other problems. Don’t have much to compare them to but my brother has a more modern version of c4’s and they are very similar.

The placement range is nearly identical and the colors are the same. Overall really highly recommend them!.

These are great cams. I really like having both a set of Friends and C4s, as Friends are slightly but meaningfully larger in a given size, providing some optionality. If a placement is just a bit too wide for a C4 I can reach for a Friend and get a better placement, and vice versa.

I like the extendable slings. For shorter and straighter pitches I sometimes will extend the sling but not clip a draw. If you?re doing long easy multi pitch you?re probably clipping an alpine to everything anyway, so the extendable slings won?t be as useful.

I have these cams in. 75-3, but I prefer other cams for smaller and larger sizes. For smaller sizes, I prefer cams with more flexible stems and more narrow heads. For larger, I like the cams with trigger locks.

Wild Country cams have some very nice features. They certainly grip well and don’t move much with rope drag. The alpine draw feature is great for minor extensions, when the rope is running almost straight.

The big wire loop in the main cam is great for clipping into when a longer extension is required. Finally the color is easy to spot, making it quick to grab the right size. They are functioning very similar to the Black Diamond and I think I recall reading somewhere that there is some cross licensing of design.

I absolutely love this chair and the color is awesome. I feel like I’m sitting in a green olive every time I sit down. Easy to put together and it’s very comfortable for my frame. Be sure to check the legs and assembling, the front are really the back and the back are really the front but other than that it’s a great chair.

Love it. Black faux leather is a little too shiny to be believable, but its really attractive, comfortable, and versatile, which is what I wanted. Big enough to make a statement as an accent piece, and small enough to still use as a desk chair.

Nice product, love the style and it’s comfortable as a dining chair. My only complaint is that one leg couldn’t be attached properly because the holes didn’t line up on the bracket. It makes the chair slightly off level.

Me & my daughter got matching shirts for her birthday party and I have to say we both love the shirt so much. Colors are very vibrant, it’s actually better in person! Lol Also size down even a small runs big.
