20 Best Fridges For Van Life (2023 Updated)

We had to replace our Norcold absorption refrigerator and went with this unit. We decided on a fully electric refrigerator since we are full time in an Rv park. We have had this refrigerator for 6 months in which we have found that it freezes everything.

We placed a thermometer inside the fridge, and then tried to adjust the thermostat. If the thermostat is placed below #1 the refrigerator will shut off as well as the freezer portion. We have had to throw out food because it either froze or thawed out.

The configuration of the refrigerator door is such that it doesn’t hold as much as the Norcold refrigerator. The refrigerant used in this is Butane, the liquid gas used in lighters. This I don’t like.

If I could give a Zero star I would. This is a big piece of Chinese garbage marked up to an overpriced amount. Stay with name brand if you can. The only positive thing I can say is, even though it is a free standing refrigerator it fits in the same slot as the Norcold.

Placed order on a Friday and received the following Wednesday (A+) to RecPro. Tested and inspected before installing and found freezer door misaligned and condensation pan loose and rattling in freezer.

Repaired it myself easy fix, good service video on Youtube. To set temp. in refrigerator lower you must turn knob in freezer to cold not coldest. The manual instruction are a bit confusing and they spelled knob wrong.

Wired directly to my power distribution panel 12ga wire and a 20 amp fuse very short run 2ft. Went out camping and it work great. A lot more space and much faster cooling then the old 8 cu. ft. absorbent refrigerator.

Overall a great product and well worth the cost.

Pros: The fridge installed extremely easily and it is much larger than the old absorption fridge that came with the RV. Best of all it looks like it came with the RV. Installing a new wiring run was simple and it started up and cooled down right away! Overall I’m really pleased with the function of this fridge.

Cons: The stainless steel finish is beautiful but it has a giant dent in the front of it with a smaller twin nearby. This looks like a manufacturing defect since the box and styrofoam that the fridge came in we’re completely undamaged.

I’m disappointed that the quality control didn’t catch this before it made it to me.

Shipping was quick, reading reviews I thought it may arrive with a dent or 2 but it came very well packaged and in mint condition. Works great and cools down really fast!! It looks a little smaller inside than I thought it would be, I think if I had the chance to look at them in person I would have gone up a size.

The compressor cooling fan is definitely noticeable inside a bedroom. All in all good product so far.

Absolutely love this cooler. We have been using it for a year on boat trips. We run it off our solar panels and it has been amazing. We can pack enough food to last approximately a week for a family of three! So convenient.

Arrived quick and all as advertised. Sturdy unit. Tested in the house with a 500W Bluetti at a 29 degree setting, compressor speed low and it lasted 49+hours only pulling a maximum 31 watts when the compressor kicked in.

I purchased this refrigerator at the beginning of April and received it on April 9th, 2021. The shipment arrived with minor scuffs and scrapes to the box and the refrigerator itself was pristine. Upon installation of the new unit I noticed two very major differences.

1) The new fridge has about twice the capacity, 10. 7 cu ft verses approximately 4. 5 cu ft 2) The new unit is about half the weight. I had read from other reviewers that the unit has a high amp draw during the initial start up to reach operating temp and that even during normal use it might could make the lights flicker.

I ran a dedicated 10 ga wire as others has done. No flicker. The instructions say to let the unit set upright for a minimum of four hours before activating, standard refrigerator process. Mine sat for two (2) days.

I have 200 watts of solar panels, a solar switch box and a 100ah AGM battery. I had the unit connected and active by about 2:00pm on the 11th. The meter fluctuated between 6 and 8 amps the entire time and only began drawing power from the battery once the sun no longer shown directly onto the panels.

After which the built-in converter finished the job and recharged the battery in short order. My only issue is that now I am having to get used to the new noises made by the new fridge. Not sure I will be able to deal with that.

Only is at the right temperature in the fridge at 7…. I am very concerned that in hot weather it won’t be cold enough in the fridge I have yet to try this out…. The fridge came with a couple dings in it kinda a bummer first thing I see when I go into my van.

Also the fridge doesn’t have any brackets to attach it to anything. Another thing that is messed up. Is online it says that you don’t have to vent the fridge. But in the owners manual it says to have venting because of the heat the compressor creates!!! Other than that the fridge looks good 👍 and fridge is decently quiet.

Much better than my Dometic where the temperature swings were 5 degrees each way (and they said that was normal). Wish I’d gotten one with the freezer, but it was too expensive and I wouldn’t use the freezer part very often!.

I bought one of these units about 3-4 years ago to put in the back of my truck when we’re traveling/camping/beaching/etc. When we’re not traveling it doubles as my beer fridge in the garage plugged into 110v AC.

I installed a dual battery setup in the truck with a deep cycle marine battery and a blue-sea Auto charging relay so I don’t drain my starting battery. That setup has worked great to keep the fridge going.

Nice to have cold drinks and cold food without fussing with ice and coolers. Unfortunately, last week our house was stuck by lightning and the whynter fridge was affected. It won’t power on. Our insurance has replaced it.

I’m glad they upgraded the handles and latch with beefier units on this new generation model compared to the one I had. I’m going to attempt to revive the old one and we’ll see how that goes.

Bought this for my 4×4 for camping trips. We now use it to hoard frozen food during the pandemic. It’s been working as a freezer for 3+ months now in the house. What I love about this unit is the dual power plugs.

In the car, I have it running off of AC. When I turn off the car, it automatically goes to my deep cycle battery in the trunk for DC power. Lower cost fridges have one plug, so it can’t switch. My only complaint is the housing is not durable.

I pack a lot of stuff and now my fridge is scratched up. Also inside, I see rusty stains in the seams if I don’t clean is up right away. We really enjoy having a fridge while camping. Melting ice is not cool.

This product was initially working very well, keeping food/drinks very cold. However, after a few months of use, it stopped working properly. Essentially, it was unable to maintain a temperature below 20 degrees C (68F).

No matter how we adjusted the settings, the temperature remained high or simply displayed ‘LL’. The fridge was reading almost the same temperature as outside. This has simply become a very expensive storage box, with no cooling or freezing capabilities.

Do not purchase this product. It is unreliable. The company (Costway) had very poor customer service and made minimal effort to rectify the issue. This fridge was bought for use in a remote location in a hot climate.

There is no way to return the product or have it serviced. Considering it is marketed for travel and camping, I am incredibly disappointed.

I chose the Vevor 55L portable fridge/freezer when my home fridge’s compressor gave up, and it singlehandedly managed to store every long-term item (sauces, seasonings, and so on) I needed it to. That’s not to say that it’s of infinite capacity, but 55L does make it one of the largest on the market which retains portability.

The variable power supply options are extremely useful as the unit can be powered on 12V, 24V, or wall current alike- making it usable in the home, a car, a boat, or even a custom setup using a car battery and solar panel.

The unit cleans out very easily without tipping (which isn’t advised with compressor systems). The upper compartment won’t freeze when used as a freezer, but the main section drops its temperature in a very satisfactory manner.

So if you’re looking for a full 55L of freezer this won’t quite fit the bill, but for anyone else this is ideal as you can freeze a good 45L and have probably 10L of fridge space.

Fantastic bit of kit! The best fridge/freezer I have ever had in a campervan/motorhome. Uses hardly any power from leisure batteries, we are always off grid and keeps ice frozen for days. Also keeps food cold so no worries about food going off.

I have ice under the basket at the bottom and food in the basket and in the small area at the side. I set the compressor fridge/freezer at 0% and everything stays as it should. Ice frozen-food and drinks cold! Recommended to many of our friends with campers and motorhomes.

Solid construction and has a light inside which is very handy.

The goods arrived in order and relatively quickly. Everything is fully functional and without problems. The refrigerator is very quiet and the waste heat is very low, the power consumption in operation is 46 watts.

The only thing I’m a little sorry for is the instructions, I didn’t find any mention of the application for phones either on the Vevor website or in the enclosed instructions. Fortunately, the Google push helped :D.

We bought a thermometer to put inside the fridge. It reads a bit warmer than the temperature on the panel but it’s a simple matter to just turn the fridge down a bit to get it to the temperature that we want.

It cooled quickly and I really like being able to use either the 110v outlet on the dash of my van or the 12v port. When the power is off, it does warm up a bit faster than I expected it to, but then again there is only so much insulation that can go into a portable unit.

It fits perfectly between the seats and makes long road trips a lot more enjoyable, being able to easily grab a snack while under way. So far I’m very pleased.

So far so good. We haven’t put it into use in its final home yet, and glad we haven’t, owing to our only complaint so far: Very strong new electronics smell on start up and running. It still smells a bit even after two weeks of being on.

Would have been foul if in our small converted shuttle bus space. I’d recommend firing it up and letting it burn off the stink before you use it in a small space. Looks very well built, easy to use, expect it’ll do the job well.

We are currently using it as a beverage fridge for white wine etc.

The product works fine plugged in via electricity. I have not tested its ability to work via solar panels, as I do not have the solar panels to test how well and how long it will keep food cold. In regards to pricing it’s a little steep in cost, hence is the reason I have not purchased the solar panels.

I do not want to spend $100 for solar panels.

I have had the refrigerator for 8 months. It works fine – except that the door hangs too low, and if your foot is in the way you’ll be very unhappy. The primary problem is the “smart” (per se) design.

Something needs to be reset or replaced on the refrigerator, and my only notification is a BEEP every 30 seconds. I have tried pushing every button, plugging and unplugging the refrigerator, pulling out the water filter and putting it back in, looking for help online (help was all for other LG appliances) downloading a smart app and adding the refrigerator so the app could “diagnose” the problem.

LG never thought of a warning light on the refrigerator itself – too user-friendly, apparently. The app was slow, this appliance isn’t really well-represented by the app so appliance descriptions and directions aren’t precise, and it took me an hour to set things up because the app kept freezing.

Ultimately, the app could NOT diagnose the problem. If LG had had the foresight to install a Reset button along with the warning light, I would not still be sitting hear, listening to a BEEP every 30 seconds with no recourse.

I cannot tell you how absolutely unhappy I am right now – on a Sunday night – to know I’m going to have to call LG Customer Service tomorrow, two days after the beeping began, to find out how to shut it up.

I am disappointed that a company has so little respect for its customers that it designs appliances that are impossible to manage without extensive effort.

We purchased this as a second refrigerator that we keep in the garage. The tall narrow body takes up very little space in the garage, but provides excellent storage for its overall size. Both the refrigerator and freezer compartments quickly reached and continue to maintain proper food storage temperatures.

The refrigerator is extremely quiet. The shelves and bins are removable for cleaning. We do not need the manual ice maker so we removed it for extra storage space in the freezer. The refrigerator has molded door handles that are built into the body.

I like this feature but it does create some extra finger prints on the stainless steel body. The refrigerator and freezer doors feel solid and create a good seal when they are closed. We’ve only had the freezer for 3 weeks but so far we are extremely happy with the product.

We haven’t had it long enough to know if it will continue to be reliable. Only time will tell.

This thing rocks! We are building out a bus and put this unit in a custom pullout drawer. It gave us absolutely 0 issues and ran like a champ. We traveled 7,000miles round trip through: New Mexico, Arizona, & Utah.

It is essentially noiseless, very efficient, app-controlled via Bluetooth and very user friendly. We love the custom ‘eco’ mode and is he reliability of it. The led lights on the inside and the included baskets made using a chest style unit that much more approachable.

( Hint: like any hot/cold producing appliance, find the sweet spot of running temperature to the environment temperature and the compressor will not have to kick on nearly as much ) Thanks Camco and Camping World!.

So far it works good and it’s cheaper than ‘truck fridge’ (and this unit was also IN STOCK!). It’s sitting on the floor in my truck and hasn’t had any issues yet; hopefully it will prove to be durable.

I like the low voltage cutout which is a must if I’m sleeping with the truck shut off. This unit cools quickly – a good fridge and happy to have it.

Don’t listen to the second post. This printer has a HUGE paper capacity. I loaded six reams of paper into the main compartment! The app is also great, had no problems there. But, like the first post, I also couldn’t get it to print.

I think the ink freezes and won’t flow. It does run pretty cool.

This is only the 2nd day of use. I used a fridge thermometer before putting any food in there to make sure it’s the correct temperatures first. I found that on the exact medium setting, the freezer is gets below -20ºF, which is fine for freezing, however the fridge is also freezing cold below 20ºF, which might explain why there are complaints of carbonated drinks freezing and exploding in the fridge.

I prefer to keep my freezer temp between 0 to -10ºF, while maintaining the fridge at 30 to 40ºF in order to save energy and also prevent refrigerated food from freezing, I adjusted the dial to medium-low, about 5mm below the “medium” mark is the sweet spot where the freezer is within HACCP range, while the fridge is also between 30-40ºF.

Knocked another star for the flimsy thin glass shelves. We have a minibar half the size and a quarter the price with thicker glass shelves than these. We’ll need to add some custom reinforcement for the heavier items we plan to store.

I ordered this refrigerator because it is the only one the fits into the space in my kitchen. It replaced a similar model that I had for 12 years. It is pretty noisy. But most annoying is that it had styrofoam in the fridge that I partially removed.

There was no note saying Not to Remove. When I wrote to the company I was told it is not a problem. I don’t believe them. I wrote to you indicating a defect on one of the shelves. It has been months and no replacement.

Do u think I’m satisfied?.

We’ve had this little fridge for over a year and it’s working great. For just 2 people, we don’t need a lot of space in our fridge, so the size is perfect for us. If you store a lot of food or big items, I wouldn’t recommend it.

For a couple or vacation house, perfect. The icemaker also works like a top.

I used this on a month long road trip out to the west coast – traveling from Ontario to British Columbia. It sat in the back of my truck, in the truck bed, covered in part by some a few sheets of home insulation (styrofoam).

Pro: build quality, ease of use, WiFi feature/connectivity, dual zone, flexible power draw -build quality: both exterior and interior were done well, good use of materials, good design, no complaints -ease of use: simple menu, and with the WiFi features, -dual zone: having a fridge and freezer (having the option for ice cream) was worth it to me -power draw: the ability to shut off half the unit made it a great pairing with my portable generator/battery Con: price, and if you’re going to be picky, size -price: mind you, you’re getting what you pay for, and some other products I priced against this unit didn’t offer up as much value -size: I wanted dual zone, and stacked up to the competition, I’ll gladly spend my money here.

It’s bulky though, and loaded up with some food inside, you could be looking at well over 40-50 kgs, so moving it isn’t going to be easy I bought the additional external bag; that maybe, kind of helped, but hard to say it actually made a difference.

I slid the unit across Ford’s spray in bed liner multiple times each day – the bag/cover held up fairly well, as did the plastic feet on the unit itself. If I were using the unit even more so, say had we camped at a site for days on end, and were constantly accessing it, I probably would opt for the slide add on to mount it to my truck as well.

I would happily recommend this to anyone who has the space and budget for it. I don’t think there’s another dual zone unit that’s smaller and better built than this.

I started my van conversion in January 2019, finished in April and have been using the CFX 75DZW full time for a few months now! Being that the Fridge/Freezer is such a large object in a tiny van build space.

I wanted to have mine picked out super early so it was actually one of the first things I purchased and I build my cabinets around the dimensions of the Dometic. It is amazing how much i can fit. People ask me all the time when i show them my van “Where is the fridge”.

When i slide it out from under the counter and open it up I get the same reaction every time, “Oh wow, thats much bigger than I expected”. I love this thing, gets to temerature super fast, holds the temperature amazing.

Took me only a single day with like 2 ez tweeks on my phone to get my icecream the perfect amount of softness! It is very easy to clean, we spilt a whole thing of tomatillo sauce while carelessly driving to robbers roost UT.

Unloaded the fridge and two wet paper towels later loaded everything back up and went on our way! I can’t think of one single thing I would change!.

I love this thing. It is on the large size, but there are smaller Dometic options. It keeps things cold. Temperature readouts are accurate. Opened a beer from the colder zone of my cooler and it was slushy.

I dont regret this purchase a single bit.

I had a 2020 Dometic absorption 2351? that wouldn’t stay cold, plus I was worried about running it on gas while driving distances. This is a 12 volt compressor fridge which draws very little wattage (36) compare it especially if you used fans with your absorption fridge.

This works perfect with 12 volt solar doesn’t even make a dent in the batteries. Although I wish it was about that same size/configuration as most of the other RV fridges, once you fit it in it’s light years better than absorption.

Temp cool and consistent even in the hottest of days. I tried everything to keep the other fridge cool and it simply couldn’t cut it. So if you have any doubts? Don’t, this is the way to go, definitely the way to go! Look at photo and how steady the temp is in 91 degrees.

The other fridge would be at 60 degrees usually 30 degrees below ambient temp which is normal for that type. With a 12 volt compressor fridge the problem is solved. Plus look at cost. About $1200 for the Dometic, $600 for this one.

And the Dometic doesn’t really keep your food cold on 12 volts. It’s a no brainer. Eliminate gas, run your fridge on the 120 volt converter or straight on battery and worry free.

It is nice and cold, and pulls about 20 – 30 watts. It seems like it will run indefinitely from a 1000 Watt Battery, hooked up to a 175 solar panel. Even though we had 4 days of rain, it did not drain the battery fully.

The back corner was dented during shipping.

Nice compact refrigerator. Works well. Only thing I would change is the long awkward part in the door (to hold something tall?). It is not practical for us, but otherwise great fridge 🙂

We’ve been wanting a fridge like this but without the outside door water dispenser. LG seemed to be the only brand to design a French door fridge that looks classy with a clean look without that dispenser in the door.

Finish is truly fingerprint-proof (yes, I tested it). The upper fridge area is SO ROOMY, of all that we have in there now, there’s still room for more, so that’s a load off our minds when we’re grocery shopping we no longer have to wonder if the fridge will hold what we’re purchasing.

As for performance, it works wonders! The interior is a perfect 38º, and no more moisture or water gathering like our last 14yr old appliance. Also, this fridge is very quiet. The double-door on the right really is very handy (I was doubtful on that feature).

It’s great to just use the outer door for quick items without opening the entire fridge, this is a smart feature. The freezer is just what we needed, and again VERY roomy for all we have. We’re very glad to have this fridge for the years to come and glad we gave the LG brand a try :).

Received fridge on 5/1/22 the fourth day we awoke to water on kitchen floor. Immediately shut off water supply to ice machine, thinking problem with water line. Basement floor boards and joists were soaked in a 6×10 foot area along with basement floor and stored beneath floor, water under kitchen cabinets, hoping we do not get mold.

Not minor leak! After cleaning up the water we turned the water line back on and checked for a leak at water line connection to fridge, NO PROBLEM WITH a FAULTY LINE. Problem is internal malfunction with either leak in ice maker or evaporator that should be drying up water in drip pan.

Having replacement delivered 5/14/22, will see how that goes. Have long Video, seems this is an ongoing problem LG has has from reading other reviews, a problem which LG should have taken care of sometime ago.

We like this fridge. The separate little door is not just a gimmick. Put your milk and ketchup and whatever you use most there and some days you won’t even open the whole fridge. That’s gotta be saving some energy.

We wanted a basic fridge. Our last one had a fancy control panel and too many electronics. Something always went wrong. So we purposefully went for basic. It has an ice maker but it dumps into a tray, no dispenser.

Fine with us. There’s no water dispenser which is also fine. But, here’s the problem. When you change a water filter you normally flush out a couple gallons through the water dispenser first. Since we don’t have one, all we can do is wait for ice and throw it away.

That takes days. The ice the first couple days is disgusting which is why you do it. So I wish there were a little water dispenser inside the fridge just for flushing out the filter. Only complaint.

Over a year into using this fridge and I wish I hadn’t assumed that a more expensive small fridge would mean a better one. The freezer goes in and out of functioning. I’ve never had anything spoil but the freezer turns into a fridge frequently.

Don’t expect to keep frozen pieces in piece form. They will defrost and then reference and be one impenetrable piece. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the frustration. Direct yourself elsewhere.

Very small and cheaply made. Didn’t have much choice because of the size of my kitchen but this fridge is comparable to ones that sell for much less. Thought I was getting more for the price.

I added this frig to a remodeled rental into along with the black stove. Made a huge difference and looks great against white cabinets.

nice reasonably quiet solidly made fridge. it would be nice if available without the freezer. most folks I talk to about this agree that the freezer is wasted space. Comming from a 60lL stackall without a freezer compartment the Dometic feels Much smaller largely due to the freezer takeing up space.

additionally it should have digital temp controls like my Costway Stackal. super handy to be able to set it to exact temp.

The fridge is installed and working and seems to reach the required +6deg C. I don’t think the installation instructions are very clear, especially concerning the ability to run on 12 and 24 volts DC.

I bought an MPS35 mains power adaptor, which provides 24 volts when plugged into the AC supply, so the fridge is switch between 12 volts DC when running from the boat domestic battery bank, and 24 volts when mains powered.

I was unclear to me whether this would work OK, but it does. By comparison with a normal domestic fridge it is very expensive. I did consider buying a standard domestic fridge and running it off an inverter, it would have been much cheaper.

Very happy with this fridge. We only had it running on low and everything was perfectly cold. My only slight moan is for the price you pay they could at least put a length of drain pipe in with it.

This is ideal for campervan. Can be run using appropriate solar system. A bit pricey but worth the investment.

Very pleased with this fridge. Works well and uses very little power. Pricey compared to a domestic fridge, but such is life. Fairly straightforward to switch the door to the opposite side.

We just installed this fridge to replace a 10 year old Dometic CR-1065U/S. For reference, the specific model number of this fridge is CRX-1065S/S. It is the model with the stainless door and the space saver flange.

It has the same dimensions as any of the older CR-1065 or CR-65 series.

WE thought it was dual and like our camper fridge switch automatically to electricity when the power was on. It is manual dual. No fun at all, you have to get down on your hands and knees to light it and switch it over.

It either freezes the fridge part or turns off and the is so dependent on the temperature in the kitchen. Again to adjust this you need to get down to the bottom of the fridge and remove the panel. We spent a lot and are not happy!!.

We live off the grid and this our main fridge for the past 2 months. Goods is it is a good size and has a small freezer as well that really is super cold. Bads is the thing is mostly too cold and somewhat difficult to keep at a even temp.

Also have to watch wind for blowing out the flame. Overall happy with it. Would recommend this.

Check condition inside of packaging. When we got it t our cabin it looked like it had been beaten with a bag of golf balls. Very disappointing when you consider the cost!!! Crisper drawer is a joke. Barely slides, jams easily.

We’ve had this fridge for just over a month now and we purchased the additional ice maker that sits in the freezer. Overall, its a decent fridge but by no means special or more than average. Other than the stand things you would expect from a fridge, here are some of my pros that I found I liked: Pros: 1) the fruit/veggie and snack trays slide very nicely, 2) the interior light is clean and bright, 3) the ability to set the fridge and freezer temperature digitally which allows for precise settings, 4) the purchase package comes with everything one needs to switch the side the door opens from, 5) the stainless steal coating is easy to clean and doesn’t leave fingerprint or streak marks.

6) we purchased the additional ice maker machine and love having ice on demand. The ice maker on/off button is well placed making it easy to turn off and on as needed. 7) Con – I couldn’t find the installation manual online for the ice maker; PRO – I contacted LG customer service using the online chat feature and they were very helpful and got me what I needed very quickly.

Cons: 1) the fridge is noisy; its sound like a white noise machine constantly. 2) When we purchased the fridge, the pictures shown online by LG did not match the actual fridge. Specifically the upper trays on the door.

However, since then the pictures have been updated and now match. 3) THIS IS MY BIGGEST CON: The shelves inside the fridge are not well spaced and the options provided to change the shelving dimensions are limited and unhelpful.

This is furthered hampered as the shelving provided are one size in length only, so the ability to have half a shelf higher than the other half does not exist. The interior does not fit tall containers such as 2L or 4L milk, juice jugs, etc.

These only fits in one confined area on the door and is hampered taking it in and out of door by the upper tray. 4) We purchased the additional ice machine, which arrived separately and required one to install it themselves.

Overall, the instructions were clear however none of the holes at the back of the fridge were pre-drilled leaving for some confusion and frustration, especially when having to figure out how to attach the water inlet valve.

That part required a few YouTube videos to figure out! 5) The freezer does not pull all the way out, it only pulls out about half way leaving the upper containers only half exposed and the lower container only half exposed.

We bought this refrigerator through Home Depot. When Home Depot finally delivered the fridge a month and a half later, we finally got to use it. So far we really enjoy this fridge the past 2 months. The fridge seems very well designed to utilize every inch of space easily and efficiently.

We actually swapped this one in for a larger French door style that came with our house, but we don’t feel as if we’ve lost storage space. The shelves are deep enough for two one gallon jugs to fit easily back to back with extra room to spare.

The drawers also open easily without having to worry about banging them into the shelves or door. We had issues with our freezer not sealing when it first arrived, but LG sent someone out to fix it for us rather quickly after we called them.

Turns out ice got on the tracks after it first started up, so it was an easy fix and not a defect. The only reason I’m rating this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ice machine is extremely loud when it’s beginning a new cycle.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic fridge. I also haven’t needed to replace the water filter yet, but when the time comes, the process doesn’t seem difficult either.

We purchased this 33” wide, black stainless product 2 months ago and it was delivered a month ago. Easy to hook up the water supply for the ice maker, which comes with an internal water filter. The filter is easy to get to for replacement and one came with – so ready to go! Started making ice perfectly in a few hours and hasn’t stopped since.

We needed to switch the door swing from left to right. A door hardware kit comes with to accomplish this. And while it is not a quick process, it is one most homeowners should be able to do with patience and the enclosed directions.

The fridge is on rollers which makes it easy to place, but you can then extend the rubber feet next to the rollers which lock it in place – genius! Plenty of room inside- adjustable shelves and movable trays make unique items workable.

Assuming nothing weird happens in the next few years (which we have found with LG, is an unlikely event), then a full 5 star rating is fully earned!.
