20 Best Free Standing Bathroom Cabinets (2023 Updated)

Perfect choice for my cloakroom and was easy to assemble, with the clearest instructions I’ve ever read for a piece of DIY furniture. Really good value for money.

I am beyond happy with my new Elegant Home Fashions Stratford Contemporary Wooden Floor Storage Cabinet. The assembly was easy and the quality is great. I was pleasantly surprised how solid it is and well made.

I love the gray color because it goes perfectly with my bathroom interior. I have been using the shelving for towels and gave cloths and it holds them great.

I have recently gotten to try this storage cabinet. Overall I’m very pleased. The storage cabinet seems very sturdy. It has a nice amount of storage for me. It looks very nice in my house. The only downside was it was a little challenging for me to put together.

But overall I’m very pleased. The color is great.

The cabinet would have received a 5 star rating if it had been the correct dimensions. We didn’t realize it was the wrong size until we had it half way built. The correct finished dimensions are 26 wide x 13 deep x 34 high.

The cabinet was listed as 15 wide x 10 deep x 34 high.

Cabinet is ok. Probably my own fault while building, but there is a gap on the right side of the cabinet (drawer and door) that is larger than the gap on the left side. Customer service is not bad. The drawer front and one of the drawer pulls included in the original package were not manufactured well, so I submitted an order with RiverRidge for replacement parts.

They were free and shipped pretty quickly. Overall the cabinet scratches pretty easily, both the outside and inside shelves. The top drawer is actually quite small. But overall it’s an ok cabinet. You get what you pay for, except at about $150, I expected a little more.

Beautiful cabinet, easy assembly. I keep it in the bathroom for storage and it works great. Shelves are adjustable height, drawer slides out easy. Might have to play with the door magnets to get them where you want them but works well.

I can only give it 1 star because the finished product is not accurately manufactured. As other reviewers have posted, things don’t line up so they do not function properly, the paint is chippy & for the price you’d not only hope for but expect better quality.

This is maybe a $60-$75. 00 tops. The drawer is quite flimsy too, so be careful if you do purchase this item. If you get lucky or you are handy, you can make adjustments so that it’s a good piece. Ours is uneven & wobbly but I made it work with some tweaks from my years of experience because once you assemble it, it’s not worth taking apart.

That is unless you have one that you absolutely can’t fix, however the shame is that for the price you shouldn’t have to fix anything! I have mixed feelings about this item because it is pretty, but because of the quality I can’t recommend it.

I’m very happy with this product. It has plenty of storage behind the door (with an adjustable shelf) and nice outer shelves to display small items. It was relatively easy to assemble, but I was careful to lay out the pieces and read the instructions carefully.

The final step of putting the top on took a little work to line up all the dowels, cams and holes, but it really did fit together well. Once the cam locks were secured, it was a solid piece of furniture.

You can secure it to a wall for added stability, but I skipped that step. I love the louvered door and the magnet lock works great. Excellent value compared to products I looked at from other retailers.

I bought this for my wife’s upstairs bathroom. It took about and hour and a half to assemble. Fairly easy to do but one little item worth mentioning, don’t put the wood pegs into the rounded shelves.

If you do this as the plan says to do you’ll only have about a 1/4 in of peg sticking out of the shelf. Instead I inserted the wood pegs into the back and side boards first. It’s a little tricky and you need to leave the side and back bds a little loose & an extra pair of hands will be a big help here.

By doing it this way you’ll have a good half inch that will insert into the shelves giving them better support. If you put the pegs into the shelves first then you won’t have as much support! Anyway that’s what we did and it came out very strong and sturdy! My wife liked it so much that it wound up on the end of our kitchen Island instead of the bathroom.

One other minor point, none of the major parts had the letter or number sticker designaters on them. If you lay all the parts out first then it’s pretty easy to figure out what goes where. Over all great little cabinet for the money and looks great once assembled!!!!.

I was confused with how the parts are supposed to stick together when using the wooden pegs. Every time I tried to lightly sit up the parts, because the instructions insisted, it fell apart. I mean it is just wooden pegs holding everything together.

The instructions have you put in the screws and wooden pegs before assembling the parts. The last part that you put on is the top of the shelf and that’s what keeps the whole cabinet together. Good luck keeping the parts together while you assemble the other parts.

You definitely need two people. The instructions are good and clear just hard to assemble with those dowel pins. Width wise, it’s a little bigger than I expected but it surprisingly fit without hindering the door in my bathroom.

Looks nice and expensive and it’s sturdy. I have no intention on drilling it into the wall. Seems rather unnecessary.

This serves the purpose intended. I which the drawers were a bit deeper and wider. Font to back, they are perfect depth. Seems sturdy enough for now. Putting the unit together takes some time, but not too difficult.

I wish (as with all products like this) that the back was sturdier and affixed in a better manner than the screws along the edges of the sideboards.

This Cabinet looks great in my bathroom and it was very easy to assemble. Love the color too.

This is a very cute cabinet. It is very nice quality and looks exactly like the photos. It was very easy to assemble. I love the little drawer on top and the cabinet size is perfect for holding spare towels in my kids’ bathroom.

It holds 4 large towels when folded in the right dimensions to fit in the cabinet when the door is closed. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell. When opened it has a VERY strong chemical smell so I wiped it down with water and left the cabinet door open for a few days to air out.

The smell lessened but when I take out towels that have been stored in there they too have the chemical smell. That goes away when they hang for a little bit. The smell is continuing to lessen but it has been over a month now and I am surprised it is still around at all.

So, I do love the little cabinet but beware of that smell if you or anyone in your house is sensitive to smells or chemicals because it probably won’t be a good fit.

This look fits perfect in my bathroom! I have everything right at my reach. it’s the perfect size. The only thing I didn’t realize was that I would have to assemble it myself. But, the instructions were very easy to follow, and I did do it myself! I will most definitely recommend this cabinet to others.

It’s a nice looking cabinet.

I like it. It looks nice, was easy to assemble. Looks nicer than the typical laminated shelving stuff. The drawers are pretty small, so not much fits in them, but if you have a small space, that’s what works.

So far it’s held up good.

I love this cabinet. The quality is good and looks like it cost a lot more than it did. The con is the instructions. They were very difficult to follow. I finally put them away—looked at the photo and put it together.

I would buy it again but just know that it will take awhile to assemble it.

This is a really nice cabinet. It fits perfectly in between my vanity and bathtub. My husband put it together in 10 minutes. It’s a well made cabinet, better quality then I expected! Would definitely recommend for a small space.

Im so incredibly disappointed with this item. The cabinet itself was easy to put together, it just takes some time, I did it by myself in an hour and a half. When it was all done I was absolutely in love with it.

It fit our bathroom perfectly and it was exactly what I was looking for. HOWEVER it has such a strong strong toxic chemical smell. When it was not assembled I couldnt smell it but when it was assembled OMG the smell is sooooo strong and overwhelming, it stunk up literally the whole house.

We had a wind storm so I left the cabinet in my screen-in patio for 2 days to air it out and NOPE!!!! The smell was just as strong as ever. I have a newborn and theres no way I want him around this product.

Its what I imagined cancer smells like.

Love the look, just what I wanted as far as size and storage! One board was split but it was in the back so I didnt worry about it, still went together fine!

Nice cabinet and looks as pictured. I use it for towels and I wish it was a little wider. It was not easy to put it together.

I simply love this. BUT, I was not the one who went Crazy trying to put this together. This is just a warning, you must be able to realign the perforations that were mechanically punched in the semi/wood to screw this Cabinet together.

It was tedious and very frustrating. Thank fully my roomie is an experienced wood worker or this would never have been put together correctly. So prepare for an arduous time. Once you figure this all out it is Beautiful.

What a wonderful little cabinet. It matches perfectly with my kitchen breakfast bar, whichi is white slatted wood on one side. The cabinet was very easy to assemble, and I am useless at this sort of thing as a rule.

The only problem is that I cannot figure out the last instruction about pplacing the drawer stops. No matter where I slip them, They stop the drawers going in, rather than coming out. Obviously there is a solution to this, as I don’t see anyone complaining.

I will continue to try to figure it out :).

Instructions were detailed, except I was missing a full page (steps 3 and 4). I was extremely agitated when I couldn’t find a link to them on target’s website and had to search google – hence a 4 star review instead of 5.

I did eventually find the instructions online (on the RiverRidge website) and was able to complete it. It looks nice and most of it is quite sturdy. The moveable shelf inside the cabinet has 1 flaw – it doesn’t have grooves cut out for the shelf holders.

It’s just a slab of wood, so it slides around on the shelf holders instead of staying in place. This isn’t a major issue for me so I didn’t take away any stars for that.

This is more than a cabinet, its a beautiful piece of furniture. The quality is wonderful, it made of solid wood and is heavy. It’s not you use for a while and toss out. This will be in the family for a long time.

I love the product! So elegant, and it looks fantastic in my bathroom! Great size and quality! I did get a note that it was ready to ship for weeks before it actually shipped so it arrived considerably after the date promised.

This cabinet is sturdy and has a ton of storage. I am leaving the door open during day for a bit to get rid of the glue smell. You will probably want to change the knobs as they are very short. No problem because I can glam it up with crystal knobs.

Overall very satisfied.

Poor installation graphics, cumbersome hinge installation, soft metal screws easily stripped heads. I have considerable experience with prefab furniture, this item rates at the bottom of the scale. Carefully check the number of wood dowels necessary to finish the assembly.

I was lucky to have a few extra ones from a previous job to complete the assembly. Otherwise, when finished, the product is useful.

I purchased two to use as nightstands for our bedroom. They were the just the right width and height for what we needed for a small bedroom. They look great with our headboard. I frosted the glass on the door and that worked out really nice so you can’t see what is stored inside.

They were easy to assemble, and the quality of the product is good. They arrived as what was stated when I ordered them. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I would not recommend to purchase. – the item is of poor quality wobbles alot! I could not get the door hinges to line up correctly. I ended up throwing it in the trash the next day – husband and I were not happy.

I am really happy with this little cabinet, and ordered after spending (far too many) hours looking online for one that was the size/style I was looking for. Very easy to assemble, arrived quickly and holds everything that used to be in my medicine cabinet and a drawer before moving to a new apt with NO storage in the bathroom at all.

My hairbrushes all fit nicely in the open section in a basket. Nice product, I am always happy with BB&B!.

Attractive, small vanity that fits nicely in my guest bathroom and can hold those extra bathroom accessories like toilet paper, towels, etc.

Product arrived damaged due to being packed at the factory damaged. Had black marks on the cabinet top surface that could not be removed. Returned it.

This shelf put together easy and seems to be very sturdy. The only thing I wish was different is the tracks used on the drawers. For the amount of money it cost, I think it should come with metal tracks and not flimsy plastic.

Although the plastic works, it’s still something I would have liked to see changed.

Granted can’t built a vanity for a costumer for less than the price of the unit, but after receiving, my customers would have gladly paid me three times the amount to have something of quality. My foolish attempt to save them money and go against my instincts has me looking like a trailer park contractor.

The countertop and sink are not bad, but then how do you screw up a mold? The cabinet construction, finish and hardware are as cheap as they could possibly go. Doors are warped. That’ll be fun to address.

I will never waste my or my costumers money on a pre built cabinet from anyone anywhere ever again. I suggest you do the same. Unless your flipping houses and have no standards anyway. But if you’ve earned the money you’re about to spend on a vanity and expect to get value for it, have one built or build it yourself, to avoid the disappointment you’d feel every time you look at this thing.

Please note that this sink is quite high, but we liked it nevertheless. Great storage space. UNTIL, we’ve had it for <4 years and the sink detached from the top. Instead of it being screwed on, like most undermount sinks, it was simply glued to the top.

So, eventually, the glue dried out and came loose. Shoddy work, that now we need to spend quite a bit to replace.

I bought this a month ago. Wanted to confirm the quality before getting it home but in-store inspection was effectively impossible because it arrived incredibly-well wrapped and crated. The thing weighs a lot and unpackaging and moving it upstairs was a serious business.

You better hope you’re not returning it. Luckily the marble top was intact and matched our flooring tone. We noticed a small defect in one shelf, however. Home Depot said we could take it back, but at that point, we had already waited 2 weeks for delivery and put serious sweat into getting, unpacking, and moving it, so it wasn’t worth it.

Wyndham did send us a touch-up paint marker. Note that it does not come with a side splash and finding a matching side splash was impossible. Wyndham would only give us a 1-888 phone number that did not work from Canada.

We had a small leak in our sink (our fault) and the shelf wood that got wet swelled up and cracked the paint. Also note that the backing wood is not real wood but particleboard.

We purchased this vanity in both a 36 inch and a 48 inch size and we couldn’t be more pleased. We completed renovated our beach house and I was a little concerned about buying these online. We haven’t lived with them yet but we have received so many compliments.

They are such high quality – the wood and the stone – and the white is a pure white that matched up well with our tile. Our walls are painted BM Chantilly Lace and these vanities are a perfect match.

Not a lot of storage space in drawers for some but works well for us. The hardware is really nice too!.

I love signature hardware and use their projects in renovations for my customers regularly. They really messed us up though with this vanity, because they do not send hardware with the under mount sink to attach it to the marble top.

You’re on your own. And the thread size under the marble is odd. And the threads SPIN in place making the job infuriating. Definitely one of the more difficult vanity top installations I have had recently.

The time to fabricate my own sink clips was not worth it.
