These were a lifesaver during the worst of the covid scare when crickets were never in stock. Now they’re our go-to simply for being so easy. Yes, this is the pretty penny food. However, I have 8 cats I take care of and 6 out of 8 are chonks. My oldest cat eats a lot, but never gains weight, and constantly throws up. She has the best vet care but nothing is ever found to be wrong with her.

I have tried food after food no matter the cost to try to assist her. I happened upon some instinct toppers for my dog which she was stealing. So, I decided to try some for my queen. I found the toppers, but they were not recommended as food, just toppers.

So, I went through the chewy inventory of Instinct and ordered 3 new products, this dry food real duck kibble was one of those. To quickly sum this up, my queen (Goonie) hasn’t stopped eating it since I opened the package.

She feels like she might have gained a small bit too. She has also decreased the vomiting a lot. She still does vomit, but the consistency is very different and a lot less. I am excited to find this product and I am hoping her interest doesn’t wane.

I also am hoping inventory and manufacturer stays positive.

First off, if you like the convenience of dry food, this is a better quality than any of the most popular big brand names! We choose to feed our cats Instinct canned recipes because of the process dry foods are subjected to.

When we began feeding primarily wet food, their water consumption dropped off significantly. Better said, they consumed a lot of water with all dry foods! We have one cat that prefers dry food, but with that being said, all four of them will inhale this dry! They will eat any of the Instinct brand foods whether it’s canned or dry.

By now our cats have had nearly all of the canned flavors and the Chicken and also the Duck in the dry. There is that one thing!! The dry food has an odor, But I get it, it has meat and it’s not loaded with grains and fillers that your cat shouldn’t have! Store it in a sealed container.

I have a 4 yr old tri-bread (Poochiweenie)! He has severe allergies and is allergic to everything, including beef, chicken and many other meats grains and grass! Treats are really hard to find for him! He loves rawhide but of course is allergic so these are perfect for him and he absolutely loves them and even begs for them!! These will definitely be our go to treat from now on! Thanks R Webb.

My dogs whine when they see me reach for these treats — they absolutely love them. My only (minor) concern is that for a “small” treat, they’re awfully large. I have two small dogs, although they seem to chew right through them with no problem (both are seniors, one with minor teeth issues).

I try to save these for days they’re more active, though — as the treats seem more like the size of two or three treats combined and I don’t want to overfeed. We tried cutting them in half, but it took forever to saw through one.

I wouldn’t recommend for tiny dogs, but all other active pups might enjoy.

Been using Dream & Smart Bones for 3-4 years, at least, now. My LabX (Now gone after 13yrs) TerrierX (approx 27#) and Chihuahua all love these bones & sticks & pressed critters. We stopped using rawhide and these are a part of their chew treats/routine for healthy teeth and have been helping lots! A bit pricy, yes.

but I love spoiling them. — I do REFUSE to buy any that have “jerkey” or chicken type wraps on them. Happy to see the “smartchews” critter shapes on Chewy. They have a different texture and I enjoy seeing then pick out which they want.

My birds love this bird treat. I’ve been giving my Love Bird and Cocktail spray millet for years. I’m not sure what the fascination is with this treat but they seem to enjoy it. I like that a lot comes in an 7 ounce bag and the pieces of millet are thick.

It’s natural and packed fresh. It’s comes in a resealable bag and all types of birds can enjoy this treat. Spray millet are a good source of protein and calcium. So I know my birdies are getting nutrition and entertainment at the same time.

Millet also mimics their need to forage. I would definitely recommend this bird treat to everyone who has birds. Your birdies will thank you. .

My daughter has 2 Parakeets, Tiki and Kiwi, and they absolutely love this stuff! We try to give it to them just a few times a week as suggested. Everytime it hits there cage, they literally eat it down to just the stem.

Lol Kaytee products are great for Parakeets overall but this Spray Millett is a MUST HAVE! 😊.

This was given to me in exchange for an honest review. These are very plump nice pieces of millet. I can usually get millet out of the bulk bin at my local pet store but it is often beat up with not as much intact millet, this looked about perfect.

My cockatiels would devour it the moment I put it in the cage, my Amazon picks at it occasionally. Some birds love it and others don’t. I’ve been having more products shipped lately and I highly recommend Kaytee!.

I bought these specifically because two weeks ago a flock of robins landed in my yard – very early for these birds to return to my area, and the weather was extremely cold and snowy. The flock remained for only an hour or two, but one lone robin remained.

It’s still here. I wanted it to survive, and wanted to put out food that it would eat. So I cut up an apple, added raisins and a few blueberries and frozen cranberries. After receiving the mealworms I put some out regularly and they were a big hit, not only with the robin but with most other birds as well.

With our yards getting from snow covered to just cold our robins were looking for food. No worms were coming up as it was too cold. I put the mealworms out twice a day in the garden in front of my front porch.

The robins make regular morning and late day visits. I’m glad to be helping them make it to spring. whenever that may come. It’s April 27th and 41 degrees out. brrr.

I tossed these out in a couple places on the ground, originally for some very early robins and towhees but many of my birds love them. I have friendly crows that go crazy if they see me putting these out.

Makes me feel good to know my bug eaters are getting some protein when the ground is still frozen. I will probably back off from feeding these in the warmer months.

Our two cats love this and have now eaten mostly this for 2+ years. One cat still enjoys a small daily side bowl of canned food, but the other cat pretty much prefers his Blue Buffalo crunchy food. We tried other flavors — including the more exotic duck and some other flavor — but they like chicken best.

Yet, they won’t touch cooked chicken from a human meal. Hmm, go figure. We like the ingredients and what’s NOT in the food. Grain free! No animal “byproducts. ” We use the “indoor” version, because our cats are indoor critters.

However, they similarly enjoyed the non-indoor version when that’s all we could find in a store. They have no apparent digestion problems with Blue Buffalo, in contrast to other (grain containing) dry foods we’ve tried.

We recently switched to Petco online, from another unnamed online vendor. The prices for dry cat food (eg, this Blue Buffalo product) are comparable or better, and the minimum purchase amount for free shipping is much more favorable.

And in contrast to our former online vendor, Petco is a more full-service provider, with local stores.

As part of a balanced diet for my two senior cats (14 yo) I choose Blue Buffalo as my anchor food. I use both the salmon and the chicken pelletized dry feed stocks (feed separately salmon during the day and chicken for evening feeding, portion controlled).

The reason I use them Is their high protein content. I combine them with other high quality dry foods that have other characteristics for oral /dental health and indoor cat health. I switched to Blue buffalo four years ago based on a recommendation from my veterinarian who is a major in the army in charge of the health of military dogs.

She told me I should be using a higher protein food. She didn’t tell me what brand to use however based on my research I could see Blue Buffalo was high protein so I tried it. My cats were becoming overweight and the doctor was concerned about their long term health outlook.

Results of the diet change is their weight is at a much heathier level. An additional bonus is their coats are softer and they seem to be shedding less ( I groom them by brushing and flea comb 2 to 3 times a week so I was able to see the difference in hair loss reduction.

Overall I’m very happy with results I have achieved using Blue Buffalo dry cat food and my kitties are definitely healthier as a result of the change. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is I’m not a cat and I don’t really know what they feel about any of the foods I give them.

So I have to hold out at least a little bit. I believe Blue buffalo is a good choice for cats. I would not feed exclusively I believe kitties need variety in their diet. They also share a 3 oz can of high quality wet food in the morning to round out their dietary requirements and to give them something to look forward to.

In closing I love my two kitties and I try to do the best I can for them and I feel Blue Buffalo is part of that goal.

I am always searching for new foods to tempt my scrawny senior kitty to eat more. After perusing many blogs and reviews, I selected and purchased small bags of 4 different brands/varieties recommended for picky eaters.

I placed four small piles of food (one pile of each type) on a mat and presented them to my fussy kitty. She sniffed and sampled 3 of the foods. She sniffed this food – Blue Buffalo Wilderness Chicken Recipe Grain-Free Dry Cat Food – and moved on.

I rotated the mat so the foods were in a different order. Same thing. I repeated this taste test experiment with the other cat, who seems to eat everything and definitely has no problems keeping weight on.

He sniffed and sampled the other 3, and completely rejected the Blue Buffalo. Lilly and TG give this food two paws down – I donated the rest of the bag.

I have owned multiple extra large dog breeds and long haired cat breeds for over 60 yrs. Like most people I learned things along the way about owning pets. As you can imagine over 60 yrs the pet food industry has constantly evolved to make better foods.

So I also had to adjust in feeding my pets better quality food. Right now Farmina is the very best food on the market. So I started to switch from Natural Balance LID also a great food to all Farmina.

I do the switch over months very slowly to avoid the diarreah issues. Farmina has NO GRAINS OR FILLERS which are horrible to your pets health. As someone who learned a very long time ago what you feed your pets has a huge impact on their health.

Yes Farmina is double or triple the price of other foods. However would all of you complainers prefer thousands of dollars in vet bills???? I had dogs who’s normal life expectancy was 7-8 yrs and they lasted 14 yrs.

Cats who lived to be 27 and 29. All of whom died of old age and none ever had medical issues. Just as we humans are what we eat. the same rule applies to your pets. Now you took on the responsibility of taking proper care of your pets when you got them.

Would you not prefer to feed your pets a healthy food and having them live longer happy lives over spending a fortune at the vet and your pet passing away prematurely???? The answer is pretty obvious to me.

I feed my 3 Ragdolls age 5, 6 and 16 all Farmina flavors- lamb, boar, ocean fish, venison and duck. I don’t give them chicken as my 16 yr old is allergic which my 3 vets have advised me that they have seen an increase in cats being allergic to chicken over the past few years.

Take it from a 60 yr pet owner who does her research. Farmina is the best food on the market and your pets won’t have to visit the ER. In the long run you will save money on vet bills and have happy healthy pets for way longer then you even thought of.

This dry food is not my diabetic cat’s main entree but I do use about 1/4 cup of it in a food puzzle for him to forage or hunt in between his main meals. It’s a dry food kibble that isn’t too hard and my cat having very few teeth left is able to crush it and swallow without any problems.

My only complaint is the price. Almost $30 for a 3. 3 lb bag! Sadly, even the vet formula dry cat foods have an impressive high carbohydrate content so this dry food has appropriate types of carbs in the formula which they call low glycemic index.

Vet formulas have the corn gluten, wheat gluten, soy protein, etc all of which are more useful for dogs formula. I like this formula due to no meat by products, no artifical preservatives, no wheat gluten or corn, and no color additives or artificial flavors.

I”m willing to pay since this food isn’t his main entree for his 2 meals. I picked the neutered formula since Merlin is indoor only, neutered cat. He licks his paws after munching on this kibble so it’s a Paws Up for this gourmet in between meals snack.

We are TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED! Our Chewie history counts 37 bags of Farmina cat food that we’ve purchased here. We also purchased 2 from another retailer that is closer & could reach us faster. That totals nearly FORTY 11 pound bags! We’ve bought Ocean, Chicken, Wild Boar & Lamb.

This order is from November & contains 2 large bags of Ocean & 2 large bags of Chicken. Both are so thick with rancid oil heavier than solid shortening. It is like mud. Smells foul, as in spoiled rotten fish, actually worse.

I would return if we’d ordered from Farmina, but i don’t want Chewie to suffer a loss on $250. worth of cat food! Chewie has been kind, gracious, friendly, i can’t praise them enough. They emailed me a label to return all 4 bags, but i cant find any joy from causing them to lose money.

We have rescue-cats & foster-cats, plus our own cats. Some will Barely eat this batch of Ocean or Chicken, some act repulsed. NOT impressed with Farmina, who should take responsibility & issue a formal Recall!.

For over 2 years i have been on a hunt for a dry cat food that my 3 year old cat that would eat and that would help prevent his frequent bladder infections and extremely hard and dry stool. He drinks plenty of water and has HUGE urine clumps in litter box and vet says is not dehydrated.

He refused moist food and no to most foods and acted as if he felt tired and just laid around and did little interaction with us. He was never overly interactive with us but over time got less so. Since eating Orijen he now walks up to me and rubs his tail on my leg and ‘talks/meows’ to me! So exciting! His (Socks) stools are no longer hard and dry and there is no sign of bladder infection! So exciting too that Socks now lays on bed with us now and watches television in the evenings! He seems to feel better and has more energy and now watches the squirrels eat the peanuts we put out in front of his window in the lanai.

🙂 We have our cat back and he is no longer very thin and gained some weight and his fur is sooo much softer and fuller!.

I was excited by the news that Orijen had a manufacturing plant being put into the U. S. , hoping it would make the food more affordable since it was directly sent from Canada. Unfortunately, it appears that Orijen has decided to change their formula as well.

I feed my ferrets this food along with the Wysong Epigen 90 Digestive support and another Canadian food for many years as it was stated to be the best kibble on the market (cannot do raw feeding). Now this food has a higher amount of fruits and vegetables in it, which can cause insulinoma.

But the peas are perhaps one of the worse additions as it can cause bladder stones that can turn tragic if not caught in time. I have noticed the food does not even look the same as it lacks the softness and dark color.

Now I am having to look at another food for my ferrets since I do not want them to develop issues due to Orijen deciding to cheapen the recipe.

My cats have been loving this for years – they would clear a bowl as soon as I put some in there. However, the last bag I got (from Chewy) when I opened it, the smell wasn’t as meaty and the kibble wasn’t the same dark, rich brown it normally was.

I poured it into the bowl and the cats kind of sniffed it but didn’t immediately dig in as usual. A day later and it looks as though they’ve eaten a few bites but other than that it’s unchanged. Meanwhile they are asking me for food so I know they’re hungry (I also feed them wet food).

Does this mean they’ve changed the formula? Whatever the cause, my cats are now suddenly not fans. I will try another bag to see if it was a one off, but if it really is a formula change, guess it’s back to the hunt for a new, quality dry food :(.

The front panel that is supposed to hold the shelves in is too small and I had to modify with Reef Glue in order to make it stay in place. I would not recommend this product because of poor quality and build.

VERY weak build quality and materials used. Quality control issues big time. Do not waste your money this junk. I would give this Caddy -5 stars if I could. Not happy at all and I would not use this Caddy fill up space in a garbage can.

**WARNING!!** Our 3 Yorkies got violently ill & our 4th baby died. During our last training session with our dog trainer for my four Yorkies on 10/1, he suggested switching their food to Stella & Chewy’s Raw to help manage their weight and get the right amount of nutrients that I may have been missing by making their food myself.

I purchased the food the following week and began transitioning them. I noticed our 4 yo female had stopped eating intermittently and began having diarrhea. I took her to the vet as an urgent case since it was Saturday, almost 1 week after transitioning them.

They ran tests and gave her anti-diarrhea medicine and said to stop the raw diet immediately as it was making her sick. When we got home from taking her, our 10 yo female started vomiting and having diarrhea.

An hour later she began vomiting blood. I rushed her to an emergency vet hospital where they stabilized her but were at max capacity so they had me take her to another hospital where they took x-rays, ran tests and gave her oxygen to stabilize her breathing and medication to control her diarrhea but stated she probably only had 24-48 hours to live.

The vet said to stop the Stella & Chewy’s because it was bad for them and gave me a replacement dog food. Thankfully she started recovering within a few days. 3 days later our 2 yo yorkie began having diarrhea followed by our 10 yo male two days after that.

I immediately got our 2 yo into the vet where they evaluated her, ran tests and gave her the same anti-diarrhea medication which began working the following day. Other than loose stools our male’s diarrhea got better with his hamburger & rice diet and a little pumpkin, and he didn’t show any signs of distress.

We flew to CA Thursday morning and he was eating and acting fine. Approx. 5 hours later our Pet / house sitter called to say that he wouldn’t eat his dinner or drink water. The following morning she called to say she found him laying down outside which is unusual and he still wouldn’t eat.

I told her he probably had an upset stomach and let me know when she returned from work, if he still wasn’t eating or acting right. She called us crying hysterically that afternoon saying he was in our room and he wasn’t moving.

Unfortunately he had passed during the previous 8 hours. Since the only thing that changed was their food and 2 weeks after starting it and $3k in vetrinary bills, three of our 4 babies became violently sick and on medication and one passed away.

We are in shock, distraught and sickened by what has happened and I will never recommend Stella & Chewy’s to anyone.

my French Bulldog has terrible allergies. Tried other products that eliminated chicken, turkey, grain, potatoes and other ingredients I was warned about. Had her on fish, had her on lamb had her on a very limited diet and the itching persisted.

Started using Stella & Chewys Pork ONLY and after about 2 weeks it all disappeared. No more itching/rubbing to her belly or her paws. She finally can feel comfort. I have not tried any other flavors with her because the pork is working so I am sticking to it.

She gets nothing else. I soak the patties in water for a little bit before feeding it to her and let her have the left over juice and she loves it. The people who are complaining about how hard the pattis are need to soak the patti.

only down side is that this product is difficult to find in local stores. Today is a perfect example because my weekly Chewy order is not here yet and I am out of food for her. Supposingly it will be here this afternoon.

With that. I will be stashing and extra bag away for emergenices so this will not happen again. If you have a bully try this product. my girl is doing great. She no longer needs her benedryl either and I do not have to pump her with any allergy shots.

She is happy and feels good. I have learned by reading ingredients in many other dog foods that they are not what they say they are. A lot of products will say chicken free but still use broth. Stella & Chewy is a good clean healthy diet for your dog that has no fillers and none of the ingredients I have been told to keep from feeding my bully.

Not an easy task to find so I am glad this product was recommended to me by an individual who had a Chinese Crested with severe allergies as well. THIS WORKS! just give it a little time. It is not a cheap product but it saves me lots of vet bills and saves me lots of worrying about how to make my dog feel better.

She has been on it for a good while now. I give her no other dog products/food and no table scraps so my next search will be for a Stella and Chewy treat that she can have and will not trigger any allergic reactions.

As much as I would like to give her many of the goodies/snacks sold for dogs to enjoy I would much rather hold back and see her feeling good. it took me what has felt like forever to figure out her allergy issue so hopefully this works for YOUR doggie too.

I’m only giving this 2 star because my dog seems to like it. I will not purchase this again. I figured I would try this instead of Freshpet because it was getting hard to find Freshpet. I read so many great reviews and got it while I had a coupon at the pet store.

It’s super expensive at regular price. It’s not very easy to prepare, you have to crumble up the Pattie’s then rehydrate them. It smells absolutely disgusting. My dog does eat it and seems to like it but it has caused nothing but issues with her stomach and bowels.

I transitioned slowly like it said on the packaging. She’s super constipated and also had diarrhea on and off and you can just tell her stomach is hurting most days. With Freshpet she was totally different, pooping twice a day consistently.

Never had stomach issues. Maybe reconsider this food if your dog seems to have a sensitive stomach.
