Best Framework For Rest Api (2024 Updated)

This fails on so many levels: 1) This has a hard (fake?) wood piece and a hard plastic spacing piece. The spacer has an oval peg that’s supposed to fit into the oval hole in the wood. IT DOES NOT. The hole is.

5625 wide and the spacer’s peg is. 5865″ wide – it does NOT go into the hole. Solution: I took a small rat tailed (round) file and within 1 minute was able to file away enough wood on top and bottom of the oval for the spacer to fit otherwise it’s not happening.

2) Second dimension fail is that if you try putting it together before mounting, you’ll notice that the wood piece extends past the steel mounting plate. That means if you screw the mounting plate to the wall and then try screwing the spacer threading into the mounting plate it won’t make it.

The plate is now too deep and the wood sticks out too far to catch the thread. (it adds another. 1450″) Making touching the threaded hole impossible. They include a piece of foam but it’s only. 095″ thick which isn’t enough to compensate for the gap.

What you really need is a spongy spacer about 1/4″ thick to go between the wall and plate. Solution: Get a piece of spongy foam (like acoustic studio foam only beefier), cut it into the same shape of the one they give you.

Then assemble the whole thing with the foam touching the plate, face down on a table and compress it with your hand. If the wood barely makes it to the table then you’re ready to mount it. Mount the plate with the foam under it to the wall and then measure that the face of the plate is about 1/4″ from the wall, then it will make it.

You can also use washers (about 1/4″ thick) but that will leave a mark on your wall. 3) Screwing it into drywall WILL NOT WORK! I have a towel rack that has the same hardware and it easily pulls the wall out! My 9 pound bass would rip it out in seconds.

ONLY screw it into a stud in the wall. Find a friend who has a stud finder and borrow it. OTHERWISE. I really like it, I bought 4. I’m a musician PLUS an engineer.

Picked these based on price and how sturdy they looked. Was pleased with them upon arrival as they are very sturdy. I picked the natural finish and it looks classy. My only small complaint, instructions say to not screw the hook in tight to the mount so it can swing and compensate for different shaped head stocks.

Great idea, love it. But, the length of the bolt is a bit short for the hook to feel sturdy if it’s not tight. Even with the plate mounted very securely with the anchors. If the hook isn’t 95% tight it doesn’t feel secure enough for me to trust leaving my guitar up.

With that said I positioned the hooks tight and at the proper angle for each guitar and it works just fine. Not exactly their intended use but it gets the job done.

Got this to clear up space on my floor. Installation was simple with included drywall anchors. Although, both of the heads of the anchors snapped off on me while installing them. Not sure if my pilot hole weren’t big enough (3/16”).

But it worked fine regardless with the material that was left in the hole. Holds my acoustic about 2” off the wall I think. Overall would buy again if I needed another.

The Trophy Taker Smackdown Rest has been a solid upgrade from what we had. Installation was fairly simple and timing the system didn’t take too long. The rest has stayed consistent for the past year we have used it.

I did use a heat gun to flatten out the small plastic tie down point provided. The limb where it had to go was much flatter that the curvature of the piece. Other bows may not need this done but had I not, the double sided sticky foam likely would not have lasted this long; no issues with this after initial installation.

The manufacturer did send the left-hand model by mistake; the problem was quickly corrected. To be fair, I ordered this as the start of the pandemic when they had just switched to a work-from-home model so that may have been part of the issue.

Bought this last winter for my new bowtech to replace a top of the line ripcord. The ripcord had to be retuned when I switched arrow brands (hunting vs target arrows) so much so that I had to drop poundage to prevent fletching contact.

This Smackdown rest installed in just a few minutes and had perfect bullet holes and flight after one minor change from eyeballing setting done at the install. 3 different brands of arrows at any poundage all bullet holes through paper; no changes to rest needed like the ripcord it replaced.

It did have one draw back this spring during a 3D shoot. The limb attach string “stretched”. A few off target arrows from fletching contact before I realized the reduced tension was preventing the whale tail from dropping fully.

It was a quick but unexpected fix and it took a while to get the tension just right to enable the lockup feature so I dropped a star rating on this. Can’t beat a limb driven design for tuning and fletching clearance.

The lockup feature is a great addition for quieting the system since it keeps the arrow off the riser while stalking.

This is 4th smack down pro that I have owned. I have never had an issue with previous 3 that I have owned. My last rest failed me at the worst possible time. During my elk hunt screws on the rest started to come lose which I caught and retightened the screws.

That same day I missed an animal that I thought was an easy shot. Back at the camp we were doing some practice shots and I was way off. That’s when one of my friends noticed that my rest is coming too far back.

In close inspection I noticed that the little stopping pin has fell out. Luckily one of they guys at the camp had a screw from his sight in spare parts and I was able to make it work as a stopper and finish the hunt.

It wasn’t great but enough to allow me to hunt and I limited myself to shorted shots. I contacted my archery shop right after hunt to see if they can put a new pin in the rest and tune the bow but they did not have any.

This was disappointing because we had turkey hunt planned that same week. That’s when I contacted Trophy Taker. They said that rest probably didn’t have enough loctite on the screws and left their factory like that.

They offered to send me a new pin. I was ok with this until they said it will be 5-7 days to get a pin!!! I was hoping for better care for their customers and overnighting a pin so I can continue with my plans for turkey hunt.

They just said they wish mail was faster when I inquired about quicker shipping. Needless to say I will never buy another Trophy Taker rest again. Few extra dollars for shipping should not be worth loosing a customer for life.

Any hunter can understand a frustration when your equipment fails in the field. The only reason for two stars is because previous Trophy Taker rests that I have owned were great.

For the money, this is a great buy. Before owning this rest I used a fixed front rest and made most of my adjustments using the rear bag, it always seemed like a struggle from shot to shot, having to my position for every shot.

With this rest you keep the rear bag stationary and adjust the Rock BR competition rest for for elevation and windage. It works great and I was able to tighten my groups considerably. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago.

Caldwell was very fast with the order and had a good price. I highly recommend this rest, if you do your part, it will help tighten your groups and make your shooting much easier.

I have both a high dollar rest and the Caldwell br model. As far as performance I could have saved a lot of money had I bought this rest first. Really no difference other than cost. Highly recommend.

Only issue is the key wears down and can’t find where to buy more. With out it rest has slop in it.

Well designed rest with controls allowing more than sufficient adjustment. It is of sufficient weight to allow it to be stable but not so heavy that carrying it becomes a chore.

I hunt in all weather conditions on public land. Rain snow etc. have always been a major pain for me because of feather fletchings. So after much trying and failing to find more weather resistant feathers I gave up, mounted this rest, and switched to vanes.

The result has been a vast improvement in my shooting during less than perfect weather. Would have given 5 stars if the foam adhesive pads weren’t so thick and easily messed up. Using super glue to secure the rest solved that.

My target shooting definitely improved with it. I will continue to buy them and use them. My only downside is how quickly they wear out using stiff feather fletching. I use Gold Tip traditional carbon arrows and the fletching is cutting it up pretty fast.

The plastic fletching doesn’t seem as tough on it but shooting traditional I use the feather fletching and really like the way they fly.

Although the Bear Weather Rest is described as a device to used on “youth” bows, I found it to be very effective when shooting aluminum, plastic vane fletched arrows with my Samick Sage bow. It is quite easy to install.

Provides a very limited degree of adjustment (you are given two adhesive pads to attach it to the bow which allows you a small amount of latitude for moving the mount a slight distance away from the bow.

The material for which it is made, a resilient rubber, seems to hold up well through use (I’ve probably shot at least 500 arrows off of the one I have on my bow. I tried to put a low cost, adjustable arrow rest on my bow, thinking that being able to move the arrow away from the bow might improve my accuracy.

The result was the new rest tore the vanes off of most of the arrows I shot using it. I quickly removed the adjustable rest and re-installed the Bear rest, and have lost no vanes from the rest tearing them off.

I’m just a hobbyist so ultimate accuracy is not something that keeps me awake at night, but being able to go out and shoot my bow without coming home and spending the next hour or so repair arrows is a big plus.

For the money I can’t imagine a rest that provides a better value and more suitable for its purpose.

Easy setup, cradles arrows perfectly. Alignment to sight is easy, seems more durable and better built then discord model. So far love it. Fall away is flawless. Color matches my Halon 6. Accuracy using it is great.

Get it.

The best rest out there. Worried about the cost? Remember, you get what you pay for and this is the epitome of dependability and durability. This rest will outlive your setup!

This is a precision instrument. Hunting is the sum of the cumulative parts. If you want to be your best, buy the best. This is the best.

The Allan bag picture in advertisement look right for use on a car window but it is to small will only sit as if it was on a flat surface on the window on the glass part of the window it will fall off no good at all a bad buy.

Needs to be enlarged 2X to small for truck windows but could be used for a paper weight. Constructed well but the filling could be heavier. Size and weight mean everything and this product doesn’t have it.

I was really looking to get the larger one that you sold out of. Hope you get it back in stock.

My go to for my traditional hunting bowd. Its been working for all these years. Still does. I keep one on the wall for those times a new bow shows up and is not set up with good shelf material

I was very skeptical about using this system instead of a plastic arrow rest but I wanted this simple rest/plate to go with my recurve barebow. I’ve shot with it on four outings at the range and so far no issues.

I got the rest and plate with a recurve bow kit and 3Rivers installed for me and they did a pretty good job as both pieces are still firmly secure. So any newbies who are getting into traditional archery can have confidence that they can shoot from this rest, no problem.

Only thing is you need to shoot fletched arrows with it.

This is as easy and rugged as it gets. I have it on my Tomahawk SS and it looks great. A good look for a traditional rig. As others have said, it will wear the carpet rest away after hundreds or even thousands of arrows go over it.

That said, if you always shoot your arrow the same way (let’s say c@ck feather out) you will wear the rug in a reliable pattern and form a groove that over time may actually improve your accuracy as later arrows fly reliably true in the groove each time.

I only gave it four stars instead of five for the simple fact that I have had my bow out in the rain and sleet a few times and when it got soaked, the rug’s adhesive started to give out. After it dried out, a few dabs of superglue did the trick (something I just do out of hand now to prevent any nasty surprises in the field).

Of course, you have to then be very careful as you use a razor sharp blade to remove the dried glue residue when replacing rests but it isn’t that big of a deal if you are careful and steady.

The bed comes in a single box with all the pieces located in the back of the headboard. Total build time took about 30-45 minutes. Pieces feel solid and put together well. Bolts hold the bed together fairly solidly and the “platform” pieces seem pretty sturdy.

After putting the mattress on, bed overall feels very solid. Would recommend!.

This is a GREAT Back Pack and I LOVE IT. After 50 years of Hunting/Guiding here in the North Georgia Mountains I have finally found a pack that will do it all. This pack is a gun carrier as well as a cargo/meat carrier as well.

I loved my J34″ Just One” so much for camping, now for the upcoming hunting season, I carry pretty much everything I need. When the animal is down, The pack converts into a meat hauler. Solid pack, I’m buying for my brother’s 50th!.

This is the best idea ever for shooting from a backpack… It keeps my rifles from rolling on the pack and holds it rock solid. Every bit as good as my bipod. Picture is not from shooting, strictly to show rifle stability vs just resting on the pack itself.

Nice, just the right size, and useful with just one rest (front) or both depending on what you are using it with. Handsome product, looks good with my dad’s favorite rifle.

I purchased these to take to the range to use for sighting in my rifle. No matter how I placed them however, the rifle was higher at the stock than the barrel. I suppose that is OK if you are shooting at the ground, but not good for level or elevated shooting.

Definitely worth the price if you don’t want to lay your gun down on a table and, end up damaging your scope while you’re at the range. Works well for not having a bibod or cradle, but I prefer to stand when I shoot.

It’s simple to put together. Shorting out a bolt can grab a new one. The assembled bed is beautiful! Rustic, clean farmhouse look. Pretty solid price. I put the box spring on the bed because I thought it looked silly.

The packaging is super! Overall, this is a great quality bed!.

Well mine arrived today. My first shock was how light it was. The idea is that you buy extra some lead and fill certain parts to make it heavier to cope with the recoil. Without mine didn’t hold well with the recoil.

Also the front mount is way to large and not adjustable for the rifle. Mine fell off a few times with the slightest vibration, not good not impressed. I will have to try to find some way to secure it at the front.

The build for plastic is very good but at 55 plus shipping plus the lead I will have to buy to make it more stable Id have rather found a metal one with front securing mounts. The adjustments to take the rifle vision up and down is not too bad as well as the adjustment to lengthen and shorten for different length rifles.

On the whole it feels like a childs toy but with some modding can work OK. Not very professional for sorting out the accuracy of your new scope ;).

Takes some assembly with a screw driver. You can fill them with bbs/lead prior to assembly for added weight. Has enough clearance where I was able to place my ar15 rifle and ar pistol with a 30rd mag no problem.

Love the ability to adjust length and height compared to using fixed sand bags. Slightly flimsy being plastic based but was able to sight my rifles and pistols without issues. Yes not the greatest compared to a metal lead sled but this being fraction of the cost got the job done for me.

The title says it all, really. Not much better than a front/rear rest bag combination with a few books. but certainly more expensive. Is fairly simple to assemble and copes with day to day use well. The optional lead weights would probably make it a better product but they are hard to find.

Claims to be pistol-friendly but only if you like dismantling and reassembling to suit your pistol. Has obviously been built to a budget but doesn’t have a budget price-tag.

I needed to do staircase spindles on my Jet 1015vs. The stock tool rest was far too small to be useful. So I bought this 8” rest and I have been very impressed. In particular, the chisels glide along the rest, making for smooth and precise cuts.

I’ve had this for a few months and been really happy with it. Makes it easier to get in on small projects without Chuck or tailstock getting in the way. This system is great for flexibility and is more space saving as well as money saving compared to having full tool rests.

I was worried about the round bar no allowing me to get the tool as close to the wood as the flat tool rest that came with my lathe, but my worries were highly unfounded. This tool rest is ace! I get close enough to the wood, on a wide, very smooth and very stable tool rest.

Very happy with my purchase.

The rack lived up to all of my lofty expectations. It’s tall, deep, sturdy, and imposing. The aspects of the Fortis that make it more of a value (welded together, only available in black, etc. ) are actually positives in my book, so it was like winning twice.

I was able to get the entire thing in my house and into the basement myself; stairs got a bit scratched, but even the Mona Lisa is falling apart. Setup was a breeze–four bolts and it’s together! The one thing I might encourage other purchasers to consider is upgrading the pin and pipe safeties.

They are HEAVY and not the easiest to move around, even for a strong person. Setup tips: -If you can, have someone help you with the panels if you’re putting this in a basement. It’s do-able if your impatient, but it’s not easy.

-The panels might need a little help standing upright while you attach the crossmember. Pinch it in with some plates and it should stay put. Once you get the crossmember into both panels, you’re basically home free.

-One of the holes on the foot plate is under the bottom crossmember, so you won’t be able to reach it with a drill. No problem, though. Make your marks, slide it over, drill your holes, and attach (just get the bolts started so that you can still reposition and find all your marks).

I purchased my rack about 3 years ago and extremely pleased. I did receive mine with minor cosmetic issues from shipping but it didn’t bother me none. One issue I do have is that I’m quite tall and I’m always hitting the top of rack while performing overhead presses.

No big deal I just do them outside. I do recommend to bolt down the rack and make ABSOLUTELY sure where you want to bolt down the rack because it is very difficult to move this to a different location even with 2 people.

My other recommendation is upgrading those pin and pipe safeties, they will damage your expensive bar. Maybe contacting rogue if you can upgrade the safeties by paying the difference if they allow it.

I threw mine away to replace them with the straps. Lastly you might also want to upgrade the jcups for the same reason. If you keep going back to view this rack, don’t think about it and just get it, you won’t be disappointed especially for the price.

Overall, the rack is very nice, until you start to look closely. Cost cutting measures have clearly impacted the product. Welds are poor, with edges of the joint poking through the weld, and instead of welding the full circumference of pipes, you will see partial welds.

Packaging for shipping is also some of the worst I have ever seen, parts were just thrown into boxes with no protection, with the hope they would make it. In the end, I’m sure its strong, and, from afar, the rack looks nice, its just disappointing to see clear cost cutting measures on a product that charges a premium.

Very handy rod rest, with the one snag ear it will stop your rod being pulled off of the rest whilst still allowing the angler to be able to strike in the opposite direction with no hinderance. The angle adjuster is very well built, not flimsy at all and is built to last.

Poor quality control, if there were other items about that did the same job as the Korum Angle Tilt Security Rod Rest’s I would have returned them.

I had one and unfortunately a smallish carp (about 5lb) took the rod rest and bank stick into the water and I never saw it again. I’d been using it for quite a while and needed a replacement for the one that is at the bottom of a very deep lake.
