I did all the research I could find on the YouTube. Just like looking at a magic 8ball all signs pointed to yes. This purchase is all easy peasy lemon squeezey. I’ve crashed landed this tiny whoop more times than a blind teen driver listening to kpop on full blast.

I’ve since learned all the tricks in a few short weeks of practice. The whoopsie daisy, the scootnanny, the hooden and drooping. Whisker does and whisker donts. This is a great purchase I highly recommend it.

And the people at RDQ couldn’t be more helpful I will be purchasing from them again!.

As a beginner quad, I think it flies reasonably well indoors. My complaint is that its unique selling point is supposed to be the altitude hold with OPF and TOF, which are not sufficiently reliable to be useful in my opinion.

But the sport mode is similar to angle mode, which when combined with the variable speeds (slow, medium, fast), make it a little bit easier to learn than most other quads. And it also has a full acro mode (yes it can even flip).

Its main competitor is the Emax EZ Pilot. The EZ Pilot’s most basic mode is easier to fly in my opinion. But the Cetus has several advantages over EZ Pilot: 1. The controller uses Frsky D8 protocol and is decent.

It can be used with other quads. 2. The controller can be used for simulators. 3. Cetus has full acro mode whereas EZ Pilot does not. 4. Cetus uses BT2. 0 connectors for its batteries which have less voltage sag, but fewer choices for batteries.

Another issue with Cetus is that it uses Silverware firmware instead of Betaflight. But EZ Pilot can’t connect to PC either, so Cetus is not worse than EZ Pilot in that regard,.

Yes, it’s tiny, yes, it’s analog, yes, I’ve said yes too much already. The point is, yes to pretty much everything about the BetaFPV Cetus. It flies reasonable for it’s size, definitely has some propwash, but for someone looking wanting their first FPV drone to fly for real.

This is excellent. I’ve crashed every flight so far, which is about fifty times, only has some scratches. I even crashed it into my sink, submerging it completely. I let it dry through the night, and haven’t had any issues.

So, yes, you want this drone! And some additional batteries!.

Amazing little guy. Super fun to fly around. I think now that RDQ has the Darwin Tinyape I would use that instead and grab a xt30 to 2s PH2. 0 connector instead. The only reason I might recommend this over the tinyape is if you possibly don’t want to worry about Elrs.

The tinyape has a 600mw vtx and elrs rather than the sbus and 200mw on the emax that. The tune on this quad is ok. I used 300mah betafpv stick batteries (yes, you can use stick batteries with this connector) and I had decent flight time for a ph2.

I had a bit of propwash but its better than something on a tinywhoop or something ducted. The voltage sag is pretty bad but nothing surprising considering it has ph2 connectors. I never had the original THF so I cant tell you about the upgrades or anything like that.

The camera quality is ok but flying around a time like an hour before sunset makes it very hard to see shadows.

The only reason I’m giving this one a four out of five is because I only flew it 3 times and broke the frame! (1st day was about 5 packs @6-7 min a flight. Second day was 2 pack and the camera screws fell out.

You definitely need to loctite them. 3dr day was 1 pack) But the reason it broke is my fault. I swapped it from 1s to 2S and the battery weighs more than the initial batteries that come with it. and I had a run cam thumb mounted on it.

In all that’s about 20 extra grams of extra weight. The range of the free sky receiver is not good, even in an open field with no obstructions. So that’s kind of disappointing. And the camera, when you’re flying from out in the open into the shadows, The shadows look incredibly dark, almost black until you get into the dimmer area and then you can see perfectly fine.

And the rates that it came with programmed from the factory were Horrible. And I had to change them after flying one battery. Also do yourself a favor and get a better battery strap. But otherwise, it’s a pretty solid little flyer and I know people love these things.

So, this thing is a blast. It’s been raining periodically making it hard to get out and fly, but when I can I have so much fun flying this quad. Out of the box it was pretty much ready to go. I added some zip ties to the antenna’s and got it in the air without any issues.

Although I gave this quad 5 starts I have my gripes. The VTX antenna sucks. So does the transmitter. They also didn’t make replacing these very easy as they are directly soldered to the board. Inexperienced soldering could be fatal for someone trying to upgrade the VTX.

But if your happy flying close proximity then this drone is perfect. I will also add that when I get a drone I check every screw before I fly it. In the past with other companies they either don’t tighten the screws on their products or sometimes they completely forget to put a screw in.

This quad was perfect. No loose or missing screws. Very sold build quality. Also Pyrodrone had it to my doorstep the next day during the holidays. Thanks Pyrodrone and UPS.

So far it’s been great as an entry racing quad. Far more consistent power than many other similar models with cheaper brushed motors, well worth the small extra cost. Tuning is straightforward with betaflight.

One minor problem, the screws holding the FPV camera were loose and they BOTH popped out and were lost on the very first flight. Make sure you tighten them down before your first flight. If this is your first racing drone, be prepared to need some time to adjust to the wider FOV camera.

It flies just fine on the 1S battery, move up to the 2S battery after you get some 1S experience, 2S isn’t really necessary here unless you’re actually racing. VTX range isn’t awesome but it’s reasonably solid for this type of quad.

After this one you’ll be ready to move up to your own custom builds if you really need more performance.

This little guy is awesome. I’m just learning FPV and lost a drone in a tree a few months back (fortunately was able to retrieve it) and realized I need a LOT more time in the simulator. 7hrs in the Sim later and I felt like I was ready to hit the outdoors again, but I was a bit gun shy.

I knew if I found a snappy indoor FPV drone, I might hit stuff but at least I couldn’t lose it! This Tinyhawk II Indoor drone is perfect for working out the kinks in my skillset while keeping all the crashes within a bedroom (or two).

Not only is it a great way to continue to learn, but it is powerful and super fun to fly indoors. I even took it to work and spun it around and through a bunch of cubicles. Too fun. I highly recommend this FPV drone, but as a caveat, you still need to practice on the simulator! (Velocidrone).

Purchased this a few weeks ago. I have to say I’m very impressed. Honestly this is the first quad I’ve bought and felt comfortable flying. After I hooked it up to the beta flight and got everything working it was awesome.

I bought this with the intent to upgrade to a larger quad at some point and shoot cool freestyle videos with a GoPro or something like it. Seems to be a great beginner quad. Came with everything I needed in the box to get going.

Recently after a few crashes I have lost the screw for the camera mount. And when I went to replace it from the spare parts kit I had the screw but it didn’t come with the Allen tool to tighten the screw up.

But other than that awesome purchase and very pleased.

I have had multiple radio controlled drones but this was my first Racing drone. It comes with a virtual reality headset that lets you see through the camera as though you were inside the drone flying it.

It took one trip out to a grass park area to fly it without the headset to get familiar with the controller itself since I couldn’t see the controls well when the headset was on. On the second trip I used the headset, it was quite easy to orient myself seeing in first person through the camera.

Once I had flown around the park and rotating to see from all directions it became rather easy to tell where I was and to navigate a large area seeing through the screen in the virtual reality headset.

You can set the drone to fly at 3 different speeds and I started with the slowest speed until I felt comfortable with the controls and felt oriented with the headset. Then I started to increase the speed.

It is really fun to fly and the battery lasts for 28 minutes of flying which is enough time to really enjoy it. Setting the GPS starting point and location references takes just a couple of minutes and then the return to start button brings the drone back to the start easily when held down.

The one button landing is also easy when the switch is held down. I felt the construction was good and the carrying case made it easy to keep everything together and to transport the drone, headset, battery etc.

in the car. I can highly recommend this drone to others. I have really enjoyed flying it and working toward the world of drone racing.

This drone is a great drone for beginners, but also for intermediate users. I love the small size of it- it fits right into my open hand, maybe a little bit bigger than my phone. It operates very well and with the goggles, you can see everything the drone sees! There are many features offered -Auto Hover, One Key Unlock, Landing, Return Home, Built In GPS, Brushless Motors, and Variable Speed Settings.

I like that I can control it even when it’s far away from me, up to 3200 feet away. It’s been fun for both me and my husband, but also my kids. They are able to operate it with no problem. The remote control is easy to hold.

The camera lens on the drone depicts clear images. It’s amazing the things we can see from a birds eye view on our farm, the aerial view is great. The battery life is good, nearly 30 minutes of continuous flight use.

This is great for any every day adventure!.

F22 is my first drone. Very good and robust product for beginners. Gyroscope and GPS feature seems very crucial for my first steps because when I tried it in Headless Mode (GPS off) it was not easy to keep it hover at one position.

Also Auto take off and landing very useful for beginners. It is quite a challenge do it safely without these features when you are beginner. Auto take-off, hovering and landing allows to start “playing with toy” off-box without frustration and gradually start developing flying skills.

Robust – because even when I crashed couple times there were no critical damages. It is still as a brand new, replacing pair of propellers was very easy in a filed. 4stars only for one Down side in my experience – to do calibration seems to be very crucial for every time you fly.

Because when I skipped this step once, the drone seems “lost its brains” and zoomed sideway and inevitably crushed into a bush once it took-off. From this observation I think Obstacle Avoidance feature would be very helpful.

Otherwise you need to react fast and “kill” drone holding take-off button 3 sec, however even 3 sec is enough to make severe damage to drone or object it run into. Another weird thing I’ve noticed – my cell phone battery drained supper fast, couple flights and my cell phone battery was dead.

Not sure if it is a problem with my cell (need to try another one). But it was obvious after couple times I’ve tried flying.

For a beginner/intermediate drone, this is an excellent choice to usher in newcomers to flying. It does alot and functions beautifully with a budget price to accompany functionality. It comes with a “beginner mode” that prevents you from straying too far from your control of the drone for new flyers that helps them get used to the process, as well as quite a few different modes for taking videos and pictures.

Battery life for most drones is relatively limited, but on the limited scale, this drone has decent battery life that exceeds competitors while maintaining quality functionality. Love it. I highly recommend to anyone that wants to start out and needs to get a starter drone that is of good quality.

When I say starter, that doesn’t mean low quality, what that means is that the higher end, more costly drones can reach distances of 4 miles from the person operating them and travel much higher. That being said, with an investment of several thousand dollars or more, it would be best to start with something more cost effective to get the hang of it that is still really good but is more limited in that aspect.

This machine performs as advertised. I capture images with the X5S camera and find it to be crisp and clear. The Inspire 2 was purchased because I wanted to offer high calibre video for a promotional shoot.

I operate professionally and will use the system for mapping and video production as well as simple aerial photo. I am comparing this unit with the other multi-copters in my fleet from various manufacturers such as Autel Robotics and YUNEEC.

I’m not giving a 5 because DJI should have training videos on this amazing flying machine. This is a very complex drone and for the price of this drone there should be training videos on how to use it.

I have 2 advice’s, buy the screen from DJI a phone or I Pad is useless, watch videos on YouTube on how to set video settings. It is a great drone but you do need ground school.

It flies pretty close to the other DJI products. It is a bit more nerve racking at first due to the money involved. Some great Pics! It also is able to keep up with moving subjects a lot better. Draw backs are, it doesn’t have the same flight Macros the Mavic 2 pro has, and to really get the best video results, be prepared to spend several more thousand on camera, X7, lens, SSD stick, SSD reader, computer that can handle editing, and software.

I got the DJI FPV a year ago, and I have just over 40 hours of fly time and 1000 kilometers flying with the drone. As it has held up extremely well over the year, I am super stoked to give it a 5-star review.

The rush when spinning up the motors and launching off the ground is still super exhilarating. With amazing pictures and videos, I do not regret buying this wonder. The only thing I would recommend is practicing flying FPV in a simulator like “Liftoff” (On “Steam” game launcher) before flicking the drone into “Manual mode” as it is very easy to lose control over the drone if not somewhat experienced.

Talking about the specs on the drone after a year, I couldn’t tell the difference from when I first bought it. The battery life however can only go for about 15 minutes in a stable hover over the ground compared to the promised 20 minutes, and even less when ripping around quickly.

Although that slight downside, the speed, and acceleration have been affected little to nothing whatsoever. I easily get up to 140 kmh (87mph) with no wind, and my top speed with tailwind has maxed out around 176 kmh (109mph).

The last thing I want to add is that I strongly recommend getting the 2 extra batteries if you are planning to take the drone on longer trips. There are a lot more specifics I could have written down, but if you are seriously considering getting this drone, then it is easy to find very well-made videos on social media platforms like Youtube that go into a lot more depth than I did here as these are more of my personal experiences with the drone.

After a good it of research among non-DJI drones, I chose the Parrot Anafi based on reviews and haven’t been disappointed so far. It’s already survived bumping into things from my inexperience and trying it out indoors on a rainy day.

Was very pleased with it outdoors, today, as well. I like the tutorials and information associated with the app as well as the online manual. While some whine about spending a few bucks for some additional capability with the app, it’s nickel-dime in the great scheme of life.

Why didn’t I purchase a DJI drone? It’s simple. DJI is based in a country with the worst environmental and human rights record on the planet, run by a regime that engages in slavery, torture, murder, genocide, and the ghastly practice of forced live organ harvesting from dissidents.

I purchased the Parrot Anafi Work sUAS from Amazon in March 2021. It has been great. Video is fantastic. I have an FAA certificate to fly sUAS commercially as well as a Commercial Pilot License for Rotorcraft-Helicopter: Instrument with over 1000 hours of military flight time in rotorcraft.

I have found the Anafi to be convenient for getting aerial video and images in a manner that is cheaper and easier than getting equivalent footage from manned aircraft. I noticed that there was a firmware update applied over the July 4th weekend.

To test out the reliability of the Flight Plan flight mode and to gain confidence, I created a very short flight plan. The flight plan called for a series of waypoints at 400′ AGL with the plan terminating at the last waypoint at a 10′ hover.

I do not know if it is related to the firmware update, but on approach to the last waypoint the aircraft inexplicably shut off and plummeted from the sky. It had over 90% battery and the flight had lasted less than 2 minutes.

Flight data that was recorded by the aircraft indicates that this occurred at 132′ AGL. I contacted Parrot, and to their credit they reviewed all of my data and made a determination that the incident should be covered under warranty.

This process was quick and within 4 business days. They provided an email with a reference number and the following instructions:”This’s an official confirmation from Parrot SA that you do approve for a warranty claim.

Kindly show this e-mail to the point of sale to claim your warranty through the shop not through Parrot. “The warranty provides a total replacement. I contacted Amazon. Amazon told me that since it is outside of the 30 day window for returns they would need to charge a 20% restock fee.

This is unacceptable. A 20% restock fee on an item that was over $1000. That is $200+ for a defect that the manufacturer states that they will cover. If this aircraft were out of warranty I would purchase a new hull and motors to attempt to rebuild this myself.

The $200 restock fee might not seem so bad, except when one has to wonder how many times this fee would have to be paid if the next sUAS proved to be defective as well. Why would there be a restock fee? Is this going to be put back into stock and resold?Warranty is effectively void if you purchase from Amazon.

The manufacturer accepts a warranty claim but says to contact the point of sale (Amazon). Amazon says to contact the manufacturer. All the parties are pointing their fingers at each other. This is an excerpt of Parrot’s response:Whether the point of sale assigns a restock fee or not depends on the seller’s policy.

But, yes some sellers do that. Parrot cannot control or cancel a policy of another company’s. I love these little drones. Fantastic camera that can point upwards, 310 grammes, so with an A2 pretty much flyable anywhere, rock solid in winds up to 20 mph (the 30 mph rating is a little optimistic, as it does have to work hard to stay put.

) Good flight time per battery. All I see in reviews are the DJI fanboys bleating about how this doesn’t have obstacle avoidance. It’s really simple people – keep it in sight and don’t crash in to things.

Y’know, like with an RC aeroplane. In lunatic mode it flies like a fighter plane. And no DJI zoning to worry about. Keep it legal everyone though, of course. And now you can pick them up for buttons.

After reading a lot of review on this drone, finally decided to buy this one and try out the immersive experience of flying with First Person View. Totally worth it the price for the experience you get from it.

I would really like to see some more flight time on single battery, but not too bad either. Yet to try out the manual mode and full potential. But already enjoying it. For beginners I would recommend to get the motion controller for this and with that even kids can fly without crashing.

This is a really fun drone to fly. I would not recommend this for beginners but it does have beginner modes. The only reason is replacement cost. Get a Mavic Mini to learn on and then step up to this bad boy.

Wicked fun drone, easy to fly. I have no problem giving the controls to a friend and not worrying about it. Definitely get the fly more kit and the motion controller if you are new.

Look: I am by no means an authority on drones. I started with cheap little helicopters, moved onto some cheap quadcopters, and now I have this magnificent beast. I am not exaggerating when I say that flying this thing is an absolute joy.

The technology is stunning. The auto-hover, maneuverability and battery life are all shockingly good. The only real hurdle is getting used to the controls, which are pretty intuitive, it just takes time and practice and pretty soon you can get some really jaw-dropping footage.

For the price of this drone, I cannot imagine a competitive alternative; they may exist, but I’d be stunned if they were superior in any capacity. This drone is tough as nails, you can run it into trees, walls, your houseplants.

the shell is really strong and the blades will take a lot of punishment. It also comes with some replacement parts. The stability and gyroscopes in this drone are amazing, you can clip a tree branch and it will tumble and right itself without any input so long as it doesn’t hit the ground.

(Full disclosure, I did manage to kill my first DJI Mini 2 by being stupid. I managed to hit a tree flying fairly low and it tumbled onto solid concrete. So it’s not invincible, but if you are flying over softer surfaces, I’m confident it could take pretty much any impact within reason.

The moral of this story is. BUY THE INSURANCE, for a product like this with the possibility of doing something really stupid with, totally worth it. If you do buy this drone, GET THE ACCESSORY PACK! the extra batteries and the charger make this so much more fun.

The battery life is great, but being able to swap out batteries makes this a much more fun activity in you don’t have to stop for two hours to go at it again. Happy flying, and please do some research into the laws governing drone flight.

This one is great because, for the time being, you don’t need to get a license as it is under 250 grams. BE AWARE THIS MAY CHANGE. Be respectful, there are tons of places you can fly your drone without bothering or endangering anyone and be in compliance with the law.

The DJI Fly app is also your best friend, it will show you on the map and tell you what type of airspace you are in.

Although its missing some professional features such as follow me, and its sensors arent as good in low light situations, it is great for hobbyists that just want a nice drone that shoots great 4K quality videos.

For the price that its being listed for in most places, it is the best budget drone you can get on the market as 2021 is coming to an end. Maybe a mini 3 will come out, but for now if you want a budget professional drone, the mini 2 is your best bet.

With amazing video quality and DJIs best features like return to home, Occusync 2. 0, easy to use quick shot features, and an amazing 3 axis gimbal, it shoots smooth and breathtaking videos with amazing connection.

When it comes to professional uses though, it lacks in camera quality compared to the Mavic Pro 2 or Mavic Air 2, which both have significantly better and sharper image production when compared to the Mini 2.

The mini 2 camera is still amazing, its just that compared to the higher quality drones you can tell a difference since its video quality is a bit noisier and the color profile is harder to work with.

Lets take the Mavic Air 2 for example, its half the price of the Mavic Pro 2 yet some people even prefer the 4K shooting quality of the Air 2 over the Pro 2 and it has some real competition. However; the Mini 2 is less than half the weight of the Air 2, making it the best travelers drone due to how compact it is.

Easily fitting into tight spaces like your jacket pocket, and not needing to be registered since its under the 250g weight limit, it is the most convenient portable drone that you can probably get which gives you a lot more freedom if your out shooting.

Its up to you to decide which to choose. However, if your just looking at the budget 2 because its right at the maximum of your budget, and you know youll photograph and travel often, it will be a solid investment.

I do recommend getting the fly more combo though, well worth the money.

I thoroughly researched the best drones for entry-level pilots and landed on the Mini 2 for it’s many advanced features and its high quality camera. After two weeks of nearly daily flying while learning the “ropes”, I can honestly say I feel like I made the right choice.

Here are the main reasons why: PROS: — Extremely lightweight and small for portability and flexibility in choosing locations to fly (doesn’t require FAA registration in most states) — Flies smoothly and is stable in moderately windy conditions — Compares favorably with its bigger brother the Mavic 2 for about half the cost — Utilizes the same RC unit as the Mavic 2 for a economical option to upgrade, if desired (utilizes post-purchase accessories like sun shades, tablet adapters, cables, etc.

) — The DJI Fly App is well-designed, intuitive and stable, even on older devices (using iOS version; don’t know about Android) — Excellent camera; 4K/30fps for video, very stable gimbal, compatible with many third-party ND filters to really capture high end footage and stills in all light conditions CONS: — Doesn’t offer tracking or true following due to lack of obstacle sensors (to keep the total weight under FAA registration reqs) *There are some nice Quick Shot presets that you can use to hack this up to a point.

— The Intelligent batteries have failed to deliver anything close to the advertised 31 minutes at full charge; closer to 15 minutes max in my experience (be forewarned that you are ill-advised to leave batteries in either their multi charger or the drone itself when not in use as it can severely diminish their full capacity; there’s is no mention of this in the manual, but DJI has confirmed this is the case) SUGGESTIONS: — If you have any vision challenges, I suggest you plan on using an approved tablet for running the Fly App; even my iPhone 12 Pro Max display is too small; I’ve upgraded to a iPad Mini Gen 5, which is the perfect size though a bit top heavy when mounted to the RC; you’ll need a tablet adapter (CYNOVA Pro ($33) and a tablet sun shade (Hanatora 7-8.

4 Inch Monitor Tablet Sun Hood Shade for DJI Mini 2 – $20) and a longer cable to connect RC to tablet (Hanatora 11. 8 Inch USB C to iOS Remote Controller Cable – $12) — Definitely go with the Fly More Combo option.

The case and the extra batteries and multi-charger are really not optional; haven’t needed the extra props yet, but I feel more confident knowing I have them with me. Hope this review is helpful. I highly recommend the Mini 2.

Start slowly and cautiously in large open spaces like school athletic fields until you build up your confidence and piloting skills. That grows rather quickly with frequent practice. The more confident you become, the more fun you’ll experience.

So happy i spent that extra $300. 00 to buy the built in monitor as i can now see what i am doing even in bright sunlight! Its 3X brighter than the best phone screen on the market. Also am enjoying the many collision avoidance techniques on board!.

The drone has already been used to locate water leaks and to check on kids at the back of the farm in the 3 odd weeks we have had it. The only con so far is the short battery life.

I have been thinking about buying a drone for a couple of years now, but wasn’t sure I wanted to risk spending a lot of money on something that I will probably crash on the first day. When I saw this “beginner” one on sale at B&H, now was the time to try it.

This would give me the opportunity to learn to fly a drone, while the cost was low enough that I could afford to wreck it. Once I felt comfortable flying the thing, I could upgrade to a better unit. So I got my drone license from the FAA and started setting up this guy.

When I had the app loaded and running and everything communicating, it was time to mount my phone to the remote. Uh oh! My brand new phone does not fit. I just this month upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S21+ smartphone with an Otterbox case.

The phone and case are 3-1/4 inches wide. The spring-loaded bracket that holds the phone to the remote only opens 3 inches. If you can’t mount your phone to the remote, it will be extremely difficult to see where you are flying while trying to control the drone.

My trade-in phone, an old Galaxy S8 Active, would not have fit either. It was 3-1/8 inches wide. The Samsung S21 is the same width as the S21+, I think, and the S21 Ultra is slightly wider still. The smaller iPhone 12 mini will probably fit, but the non-mini version with a case may also have the same problem.

So measure your phone before purchasing this drone. If you have one of the newer, larger phones, it may not fit. If the width of your phone is more than 2-15/16 inches, you may not be able to spread the spring-loaded phone clamp wide enough to snap you phone in.

This is really disappointing. I was so looking forward to flying this thing. Also, I am not sure what to do with the drone now. It is already registered in my name. Ugh!.

It’s powered by a seven-point four hole 1500 milliamp battery which goes on top of the drone and some nice little LED lights that indicate its power level.

The battery provides the drone with flight time of around 14 to 16 minutes depending on how aggressively you fly the drone but there are drones that have a better flight time at more or less similar price.

You only get one battery. It’s controller is nice and simple and has a minimalist design and has a pair of handles that pull out from the bottom and a smartphone holder that pulls out from the middle the buttons are clearly labeled so you know what they do and it has a dial on top that will allow you to adjust the angle of the camera.

It also has an integrated battery which can be charged via a USB cable which is provided. The drone flies very well, it holds and maintains a steady altitude when in hover mode and it’s easy to control has three speed modes and is quite fast so if you are beginner I’d advise you to fly in its default mode.

The maximum transmission range is just under 500 meters but it seems a bit less. Thanks to the GPS we have three modes circle fly which can automatically orbit around or fly along the path you set the auto return home mode which enables precise positioning and prevents losing the drone and the tap fly mode which will fly along the path you’ve drawn.

The app allowing you to focus on capturing photos and videos. It has a micro SD card slot on the bottom which is compatible with cards up to 128 gigabytes. Plus, get the full 2. 7 K quality of the camera you’ll need to record the video footage on the card otherwise the video quality is only 1080p.

The camera on the SP510 is better than standard but it’s not a professional camera drone so don’t expect be winning any prizes with the photography. Plus, the camera doesn’t have any advanced stabilization features so you may notice some shakiness in your videos specially in winds so for the best quality you’re gonna want to stick to flying when the weather is good.

The live-streaming quality is pretty decent however it’s not 2. 7 K as that resolution can only be recorded on the microSD card instead it’s 720p. I think overall this is a good drone for beginners, like me, not for professional photographers and fun to fly.

This drone will just ruin any excitement you or your child may have about flying this new “toy”. The manufacturer doesn’t seem to fix the common issues reviewers have mentioned for the past few years since it’s release.

ISSUE#1: wifi connection will not maintain and/or connect through the applications that control and update the drone; well the applications are everything to be honest. AS Far AS controlling, updating, or connection goes it the applicarion or nothing.

ISSUE#2: continuing from above, not mentioning that there are 3+ different applications to control the drone, of the many apps all are the one and only way to communicate with the drone. You have no way to connect through cabling just wifi and Bluetooth**.

None of the applications based on trial and error, hours of troubleshooting, and reviews upon reviews, are working with any operating systems for phones made after 2020 or pre 5G. **Bluetooth only works with literally 1 controller just FYI.

ISSUE#3: no prompting inside the applications for help/support to fix any above issues. You would like to believe a DBA owned by DJI would be way farther along with tech support, firmware and hardware support, etc.

I expected to be getting a product that would be as exciting as the products available from DJI, a product that would prepare and build excitement for my children to enjoy a future working with drone like their father.

It’s $170 after taxes for the booster combo with extra batteries and about $120 for the base model. I ended up returning the drone because while it’s powered by Intel and DJI, it’s a very inconvenient drone to fly even indoors.

First of all, it needs a phone to operate as it connects to your phone via WiFi. A separate controller is available but then I think you’ll need to use Bluetooth and that’s even worse for range. The drone constantly complained about low light when there was a couple of lamps in the room, and therefore couldn’t hover with stability and drifted.

This makes it rather inconvenient. The battery life is decent for its size and it does do fairly well in a well lit environment. Outdoors, even a little bit of wind makes it very risky to fly so be careful about that.

After spending $170, if I’m getting a drone with a weak connectivity and abysmal low light and wind performance, I cannot recommend it. If you’re looking for a drone that doesn’t have these problems without breaking your bank, just get a proper DJI Mini SE drone for $320 after taxes.

Yes it is twice the price, but it’ll serve you well for a long time.

As a keen landscape photographer with M4/3 gear, I nearly went for the Mavic 3, but it was released too soon, and the bulky gimbal seems prone to damage. As a first time drone pilot, the Air 2S made more sense with its mature software and great value.

I was a bit concerned having seen quite a few sample shots looking soft on the right edge. Mine was worse, being very blurry top right. I sent samples to Wex, and they sent out a replacement that day – superb service.

The replacement arrived on the Saturday, next day. The camera is nice and even, a little soft on all edges as one would expect for a 22mm equivalent f2. 8 lens on a 1″ sensor. It’s a similar price to the Sony RX100 Mk VII, and that doesn’t fly! The JPGs are fine in good light, but the Raws are worth editing to get the full benefit.

The blinkies and histogram help get good exposures, and the DJI Fly app simple and clear, though camera adjustments are a little fiddly. The 360 panos are remarkable, taking 26 shots and merging to a well exposed JPG in a few seconds in the air.

I tried merging Raws in LrC, but my old PC gave up on the task. Light editing on the JPG gave a great result, and far quicker! Wide panos useful too. 4K video is excellent, and 5. 4K there if you need it and have a heavyweight computer to edit the H265 files.

It’s great fun to fly fast or slow for video. It’s like having a tripod in the air for landscapes, with small nudges to get the composition right. The only cloud on the horizon is the regulation changes at the end of 2022.

With no class marking, it will limit it’s use near people and civilisation unless it can get it retrospectively. Sub 250g drones have more freedom, and improving all the time. I’m mainly shooting out in the wilds, so happy to buy now.

Altogether very pleased with my choice.

I’ve owned 7 drones over the past 8 years. all but one was a DJI product (That was when I bought the Yuneec Typhoon H Pro). From The Phantom line to the Mavic line, each one got better. I then went to the Mavic Air 2 when I needed something smaller that wasn’t a distraction as I documented a one year EPA Super-Fund site remediation project.

I’m a licensed FAA Part 107 UAS pilot. The EPA wanted quality; the contractors wanted no distractions, so the Air 2 filled the bill. Most of the time, they never knew I was there. They never saw me and I seldom flew below 150 feet, so it was practically invisible in the sky and noiseless because of the ambient noise of the construction.

Then, something interfered with the signal or there was a malfunction of some sort and it dropped from the sky and landed in the water. I then replaced it with the Air 2S and never looked back. The Air 2 advertises itself as having a 48MP camera, but that’s misleading.

It achieves that by basically tricking the sensor to split the 12 pixels into quarters and calling it 48. The Air 2S has a much larger sensor and the real 12 MP it produces is 4 times better than the quality of the Air 2.

The additional 2 anti collision sensors added to the top front of the drone gives it even more protection when flying close to trees or other obstacles. Flight time is the same for both units and the batteries and propellers are interchangeable.

It won’t work with the Smart Controller I used for the Air 2 (bummer) because it’s really nice to have a dedicated remote rather than taking the time to attach the phone, but that’s a small price to play.

All-in-all, a great product I would recommend to anyone looking to get into the middle end of the drone market.

Pros: First Drone. Easy for my experienced drone flying friend to fly, I am being extremely carefully while learning. Lots of space on our farm which helps greatly. Getting better, taking baby steps as I learn to use joy sticks and fly by watching the screen.

Built-in controller screen is very nice. Return to Home (RTM) is an awesome feature, especially for a novice. I have decades of experience with SLR cameras and I can confirm what others have said: This has a great camera.

Having f/2. 8 to f/11 gives plenty of range to adjust for photos. I highly recommend getting ND filters for video. Shutter speed for video should be twice frame rate and a frame rate of 30 fps and resulting 1/60 sec.

shutter speed is much too bright even when using f/11 and ISO 100. The included Styrofoam is okay for casual use, something better is needed for travel. Overall a great drone and camera system. Cons: Lack of experience might be the problem, but I felt as if I was Beta testing the drone and controller.

There have been too many unexplained messages, some were repeated and others never to be seen again. Two of two Intelligent Flight 5350mAh batteries that were included with an accessory bundle failed to work.

This seems to be a common problem with the Pro 4 Plus drone. Not good! Other thoughts: I purchased an ‘Open Box’ version expecting to get something like this ‘. for example, the box may be torn, there may be cosmetic scratches, etc)’ The drone I received was USED.

Period! The drone had been registered. Data indicated it was used for four days and the album contained 18 photos and one video. We determined everything with the drone and camera worked exactly as expected.

Still Beach should have indicated ‘Open Box’ might include slightly used/returned. I suggest getting at least two DJI Phantom 4 Series Intelligent Flight Battery High Capacity 5870 mAh(CP. PT. 000601) DO NOT get the older 5350mAH batteries to save $20.

Although the price was good, when I received the item and unpackaged it, I was disappointed. First off the Charger Port Cover on the Controller was torn off and laying in the bottom of the transport case.

Anyone who has ever owned this type of Controller (Phantom 4 Pro Plus, Inspire 1, etc) knows how a missing or torn off Charger Port Cover devalues the Controller. Next, I inspected the battery and found it to be some sort of off-brand unbranded Battery, NOT a DJI Battery plus the shell was cracked at the top.

Every DJI Drone Owner KNOWS DJI ONLY recommends it’s own brand of Battery for use in it’s drones. Finally, and it’s a small thing, but the Memory Card that was supposed to be in the Kit was missing and only the Memory Card Adapter was there.

I know these may seem like small complaints but when something is advertised as complete, inspected and working, I dont expect parts to be torn off, cracked and misrepresented or missing.

It came with a battery that was useless for the drone. I had to order one from someone else to try to get it working. It’s been a pain trying to get the controller to communicate with the drone. Hopefully I can get that done and get it flying tomorrow without having to call support again.

From what I have seen from other people it takes great pictures and is a good product for the money. I’ve heard some negatives about the customer support at DJI but they are sending me another battery after the hassle of sending the bad one back first.

Maybe a little quality control and testing would have prevented this? I know I would need some back up batteries once I get busy but I wanted to check the machine out first.

Very powerful drone that will handle all but the very strongest of winds with a gimbal that works perfectly with it’s great camera. Very please with the purchase. Living near the coast smaller less powerful drones can struggle.

Extreme video an control signal range never had a glitch. So nice not having to get approval from Dji to fly where you know is safe. Tracking very good, both optical or by Gps. Fussy on Sd Cards, Yours need to be fast Records H.

264 to SD which creates bigger files than H. 265.

I absolutely love the living tweedle out of the Hubsan Zino!!! 🙂 When I first received it, I wasn’t really certain about that because I had some issues with long deployment times (the time from when you first power it up until it gets in the air) but that turned out to be “pilot error” (the drone did not come furnished with instructional materials) — I turned to Google and YouTube and found exactly what I needed; now I can deploy it in under two minutes every time I fly it! 🙂 The Zino provides me with rock-steady video thanks to its 3-axis gimbal and it flies buttery smooth! The gimbal speed is adjustable on the fly; you need not land the Zino to adjust the gimbal speed.

I haven’t experienced any crashes yet, so I’m not prepared to say just how durable it is; however it feels very solid and well-built — e. g. it doesn’t have a chintzy, “plasticky” feel to it at all.

When you hold the Zino in your hands, it feels like a sturdy, substantial instrument! 🙂 The only complaint that I have is that the remote control (transmitter) does have a bit of a “cheap” feel to it — however it has thus far performed flawlessly.

The transmitter having a rechargeable battery is a bonus — no disposable batteries to fuss with or forget.

This stand has horrible instructions. Just pictures, and the pictures are bad. Had to figure it out myself. Which meant putting together and taking apart a few times. Pretty cheap frame. Flimsy. I would only put a dryer on it.

A washer would be too heavy.
