20 Best Foundations For Acne Skin (2023 Updated)

I have super textured, sensitive, acne-prone skin and this is the ONLY foundation that doesn’t just exacerbate all of those qualities. The smoothness and finish are great and I love the buildable coverage.

HOWEVER, as others have said, the lack of range in shades is prohibitive. I’m somewhat fair with a very neutral tone and even the lightest shade looks positively orange on me unless I have a fake tan.

It’s an extremely warm tone and dark shade for something called “porcelain” and I wish it came in a color that actually matches me. Sometimes, I mix it with another foundation but that minimizes the acne fighting quality and other positives of the formula.

On the other end of the spectrum, the darkest shade is not nearly dark enough for a huge number of potential customers. ELF, this product is good. Please allow more people to use it by expanding the shade range to include lighter and darker shades as well as cool/neutral/warm undertone options.

I have oily and acne prone skin. I’m turning 39 this year and a lot of foundations that used to look good on my skin are not flattering anymore. I’ve always been curious about the Acne Fighting Foundation, so I finally got it.

I chose the shade Buff and it looks amazing. The bottle is like a school glue bottle, which I really like. The foundation is thicker than I expected and I had to try different ways to apply it until I got the airbrushed look.

Beauty blenders didn’t do well. Somehow the coverage was too much and looked cakey. A flat brush was the best tool for this one. Another crucial recommendation is: 2 drops on the back of your hand. Only 2 will do the job.

Trust me. Dab it on your skin with fingertips and only then use the brush. The coverage is amazing and no more cakey looks! Surprisingly, it lasted a whole day on my face. Aside from nose and chin areas, cause I touch them a lot, it didn’t fade or come off.

Even when I used blotting tissues, there was no transfer. Honestly, for 6 dollars, this is a great foundation to wear on a daily basis, especially if you have acne prone skin. The ingredients are absolutely right on the spot and help a lot.

I am in perimenopause and started battling acne again and needed some makeup that would address this issue. The Acne Fighting Foundation contains salicylic acid, witch hazel, camphor, tea tree oil and aloe that really helped heal my skin while covering redness and bumps.

I used the color Porcelain for my light complexion with cool undertones and it was a perfect match. I used a sponge to apply the foundation and it felt light and smooth with good slip. I used a foundation brush to go over any acne spots and I got enough coverage with this individual application.

I also used the Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Finishing Powder in Fair Light (another great elf product) after the foundation application. I used a brush to whisk the powder lightly over my face and T-zone and I was shine free for 5-6 hours.

I am so glad that elf came out with products that address acne in all stages of a person’s life.

I have tried this foundation about 6 years ago and i didn’t like it because i didn’t get my shade right. I have been using the double wear stay in place for 6 years + which i am totally in love with.

Yesterday, i decided to give it a go with the right shade. I use the shade 4w2 Toasty Toffee in double wear stay in place. Therefore i got the exact shade in this one. I moistured my face well with an oil free moisturiser.

I have hyperpigmentation and uneven tone for reference. I do have a lot of dark spots under my chin and on my cheeks. so, i got a tiny pea size amount of the foundation on each side of my cheek and slightly blended it with a damp sponge around my face.

The foundation covered all the hyperpigmentation and made my skin tone even. I was very pleased with that. When looking closer, i could see the dark spots a bit but it didn’t look bad. I then applied the double wear powder in 4W1 which i have been using for ages as well.

It’s been 6 hours and the foundation didn’t get cakey or oily or anything like that. I therefore highly recommend this foundation for all my brown girls out there with suffering from hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

I am in my early 30s as well for reference. The foundation doesn’t feel heavy at all and looks lovely. But please make sure you get your exact shade.

I have dry skin, with the exception of my nose being oily. Without primer this foundation does not work well. With primer it actually looks great! I would mix this foundation with a drugstore runnier consistency one just because it’s so matte and heavy.

The coverage is great and so far the only one I’ve found to cover my freckles! If you have large pores this will definitely emphasize them so try to use a silicon based primer. Moisturize heavily before using because if u have any dry spots they will show and the foundation will stick to those spots.

any oil it will “separate” and look funky. Overall would use again for a super full coverage look but this is not an “everyday” use type of foundation for me. They could also improve on the shade ranges because there’s not many and since it’s full coverage you can definitely tell when it’s not ur color which is another reason why I use another foundation to mix this with.

I have very oily skin, and even when it gets dry due to over washing, I still only wear matte foundations. It’s been hard to find a great stay in place and shine control matte foundation. I always used to wear the original double wear and would switch to try new ones but always found myself going back to double wear.

When I saw this i was instantly intrigued and tried it out. at first application it seemed amazing. Sure it doesn’t have a good color range but the formula of it seemed perfect. It was the best matte foundation upon application i have ever tried.

Velvety smooth, powder finish, non transfer power (when set with powder) then not even 3 hours later my skin looked so blotchy and patchy like discolored in certain areas. Its like my whole face was matte and full coverage but somehow parts of my face had melted off throughout the day.

It made no sense. I kept trying it for serval days and had to end up returning it because I kept getting the same result on every wear. If your thinking between this one and the original double wear, save your time and get the original.

This foundation is very lightweight, applies evenly and dries similarly to a powder finish. In my opinion it is comparable to the Dior Forever Undercover Foundation as it absorbs efficiently into the skin, moisturizes and does not flake.

The consistency is neither thick nor loose allowing for precise application and absorption. Neutrogena Skin Clearing is hypoallergenic so there is no fragrance during or after application. The only suggestion I would offer concerns the structure of the foundation bottle.

Including a dropper, stem or locking pump top would allow for easier, hygienic dispensing.

Firstly. wow! I only purchase foundation from brands like Shiseido, Lancome, etc. , as I’d always considered drugstore brands to be of inferior quality. But my experience using Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil-Free Warm Beige makeup cured me of this prejudice.

I did not expect to like this product very much – much less be impressed – but I did – and was. Truly. I find oil free foundations tend to dry out my skin, but I did not find that to be the case with this.

Even without primer, powder, or concealer it evened out my skin and blurred my hideous scars/enlarged pores from a bout of SEVERE adult acne. Also easy to apply and long wearing. Just a couple things: color was a tad orange-y/dark – possibly just not my color.

I would have preferred a pump to dispense makeup as it is fairly thick and was either difficult to get out of the bottle or too much came out at once. Again, these are minor and very easily remedied – product gets an enthusiastic five stars from me!.

This is the most amazing foundation I have ever used. After finsing this, I have never looked at another foundation. I have indian brown skin ans find it impossible ro find the right shade and if I find thw right shade, I get acne after makeup.

This foundation was everything for my skin. Whejever I use this foundation, it calms down my redness and clears up acne. Even if I forget to clean it at night, it only makes my skin calmer the next morning like magic.

And matches my skin color soooo perfectly.

So disappointed with this foundation. Got it in Fresh Alabaster, not realizing there were only cool-neutral tones available; it wound up oxidizing really badly on me as I am a strictly cool undertone.

On top of that, the formula is extremely drying for my skin. It quite literally dries almost immediately, thus making blending near impossible. I end up going through more product just to finish my face evenly.

The coverage is decent, but it definitely rubs off under a mask that is worn for 8 hours. It also sinks into pores, despite being used with primer and setting spray. I will be returning this as soon as I get the chance.

For others’ reference – I am in my mid 30s, have combination skin. After my typical moisturizers, I apply a primer and setting spray once finished with my makeup. Upon recommendation from the Ulta employee at my local store, I used this with Benefit’s POREfessional Lite Primer.

I am in healthcare, I am an EMT so I work long shifts, 16+ hours. I also wear a mask all day so needless to say, at the age of 34, my skin has some blemishes. I knew Clinique had a line of acne solutions products but was not sure about foundation.

TADA they have some! I went to my nearest Ulta, got matched, and I am Ivory! I use a blending sponge with this, and I only use a little bit. It stays all day long, does not come off in the mask, not even using primer! Sometimes I fall asleep at work and it still is on! At the end of the day, it comes off so easily with soap and water.

So blendable, looks like real skin! It does not make me itch, nor does it make me break out. I still have some blemishes, but I might add that the Clinique charcoal mask in the gray bottle works ABSOLUTE wonders, better than ANY facial spa experience! Highly recommend both of these products.

I gave 4 stars for the price because of how much it cost, I do not feel like you get much, but if you go onto Pinterest they show you ways in how to get the most out of everything for your pennies! Will purchase again and have already recommended to my friends! :).

I tried this foundation because I wanted something that would provide even coverage for mild/moderate acne without aggravating sensitive skin. I had a virtual consultation and was matched to Alabaster, the lightest shade, but it turned out to be quite orangey on me, and definitely too dark to get away with only using it on certain problem areas.

Also, even though it says it will work for dry skin, I found it incredibly drying, clinging to drier areas and settling into creases that are otherwise invisible! It provided good coverage, although it was heavier than I wanted it to be, but overall it just looked super cakey so I sent it back.

I’m grateful that Clinique does free returns for online orders! This might work for you if you have oily skin and want a fuller coverage, but I wouldn’t recommend it for combination skin or anyone looking for a lighter, buildable coverage.

I bought the 1N shade which is called ‘fair ivory’. If this is fair, and, moreover, compared to ivory, then grass is purple. I am fair-skinned and usually buy lightest shades or second to lightest. I have the experience of buying light-shaded make-up products that were a bit darker than needed, but this is far beyond it, probably 3 shades darker than my skin, despite being ‘fair ivory’.

I would call this ‘brick-orange’ rather. In addition it’s also not very easy to apply, no matter how I tried to spread it evenly, I ended up with stripes on my cheeks. Maybe it depends on the base cream.

For comparison, some shades I found more or less suitable for me: liquid foundatoin SK-II 310 crystal ochre, Shiseido 100 very light ivory, Koh Gen Do 112, powder Rimmel 001 transparent, Cezanne 01 light, and Lumene 0 translucent.

Can’t say anything about it rescuing me from blemishes, because it didn’t.

Not perfect but for what it is/ does it’s worth it. My one gripe is that even the lightest shade is a little deeper /warmer than the original but somehow it doesn’t look noticeable when applied. Aside from that it’s awesome, it performs just like their original foundation but with SA and other acne fighting ingredients and it doesn’t dry you out, and since it’s mineral it won’t clog your pores or cause breakouts.

You can seriously sleep in this stuff. It did help my skin. I hate that they’re discontinuing this.

I tried this product while I was still dealing with acne- prone skin. I figured that it would be a perfect light coverage that covered the acne while still not clogging pores. It’s advertised as a way to wear makeup while healing your skin.

I feel like it looks choppy unless you have a solid skincare routine built up, and you’re extremely hydrated. It didn’t work for me, but I’m curious to see how it preformed on more clear skin. Now that I have a more clear complexion, it could be a good light coverage choice for me to try again.

This foundation used to be amazing. Been using for 3 years. It used to make my skin look younger & bright, smaller pores & help with acne. However, the last few bottles I bought it seems like they changed it.

It now enhances my wrinkles & makes my skin look saggy, I’m breaking out more & it makes me look pasty. Apparently they changed the formula & now I’ll be looking for a new foundation:(:( bc I had an old bottle left from a year or so ago & tried it to compare & the old bottle is still making my skin look good, then when I use the new bottle I look old & pasty again.

They ruined a great foundation unfortunately:(.

I love DermBlend foundation with the dropper! However, the first time I bought one, I do not remember the shade, threw out box, and now, on that particular bottle, can find no info at all on the shade it is.

So when ran out, i tried the color chart. I am not a pale skin but not a dark haired tan, somewhere in the middle. So by the chart, I have bought 25 N and then 30 N, both look good in the bottle, but when put on, both are too light.

I feel that I need to go up either to a color that the chart may look as too dark, just to be sure. I reasoned that I can mix a drop of one of the lighter shades in if need. Or maybe I need a warm or cool instead of N.

how do I know? The chart could use improvement,ore explanation and more true pictures, I believe, on different color hair maybe. Anyay, now that is summer, I am going to try the CC full coverage for everyday.

I really hope I pick the right shade this time and that the descriptions. So my reviews 4 out of 5 stars is due to the colors representing too light. Thank you and I love all your products! Don’t stop making this, please!!.

I am so glad someone at Ulta showed me this product forever ago. I asked for a foundation that could be mixed with oils and serums underneath and was lead to this. Dude- literally every time I where this my friends think it looks amazing and ask me what fondation I use.

Every time I tell them they have never heard of it! Dermablend- get on it and try it yourself. It’s so good for my dry arizona skin. It works with spf, oil, and serum underneath for me. Even the concelear by dermablend rocks in my opinion.

I can use a brush, beauty blender, or clean fingers to blend it in and it always works (with a base primer on first). I love it. It gives me a dewy look but not too oily. Maybe after a good 5 hours of where do I look a little oily in my T zone but I can easily Pat that away or put a little tiny pit of powder over it.

I love it, clearly lol.

This use to be my go to! for some awful reason though, this liquid foundation makes me break out so bad and it’s makes my skin super oily now. I don’t know why or what changed but I’m guessing the formula or something.

Also, the shades are odd, like wayyyyy off now, it looks almost orange like and cheap on my skin, and it has made my acne worse than ever before, just awful. I was in love with this foundation, loyal for a few years now and it really sucked that after all that time, I had to look for another foundation.

I Waited a full year in hopes they would bring the original formula and colors back but they never did. I just switched over for the first time to Clinique acne solutions foundation, though it’s 3xs as much, the colors are ON POINT and the best part, it doesn’t clog my pores and make me breakout.

It’s helped clear up my acne.

This is a VERRY SHEER powder. It also no matter what fairness I used it was always too yellow for me while the others were too dark for me. There was never a perfect shade for me ever and the health benefit does not outway the fact it never matched my skin tone.

It’s extremely loose and any movement has TONS of powder come out of the container and makes a mess when opening using closing or holding in your bag. You can’t bring it anywhere, it ruins make up bags and as someone who tends to have to travel and use makeup it’s super inhibiting and unreliable.

I’m afraid to open it, waste my money with product DUMPING OUT and its just unrealistic to use constantly, for travel, and or use to wear no matter how tan I got they didn’t have warm undertones.

I ordered the bare minerals blemish rescue as I suffer from acne and require full coverage. I also have used the bareminals foundation before and loved it so trust the brand and also bought the recommended application brush also.

The coverage is sub standard. Considering its marketed to people with acne, the foundation barely covers my blemishes at all, even when using a concealer. The description on the website quotes that it’s “non-drying powder foundation” – It is drying because you have to build it up so much.

Blemish busting. Camouflaging. Concealing. Correct the appearance. These are all claims that this product does not meet. In fact I found that the product built up specifically on my blemish areas and therefore highlights them even more.

It does not conceal or correct. The product does not do the job it is advertised to do. DO NOT BUY YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I bought the shade 1N Fair Ivory and the colour is honestly more of a light-to-medium rather than a fair. I can sort of get away with wearing it if I pay attention to take it down my neck and only apply a light layer, but I do look quite tan.

however, the coverage and staying power is quite good, and if it was the right shade I would probably also be able to use it for spot-concealing because of the good coverage – but that is obviously impossible when the shade is too dark.

For reference I wear Lily Lolo mineral foundation in China Doll (winter) and Blondie (summer), and Alima Pure mineral foundation in Neutral 2. My star rating is based solely on the misleading shade descriptions and the lack of inclusion in both ends of the shade spectrum (missing proper fair shades as well as deeper shades).

I like everything else about the product, but I think the shade-issues are big enough to take off two stars.

Definitely not full coverage. Calling it medium coverage is a stretch. One would think that a product designed and marketed to people with blemishes would actually cover some of said blemishes. one would think, but would sadly be mistaken.

Even using the recommended brush, I found it all but impossible to build any coverage with this foundation. it would struggle to cover any sort of blemish, none the less an actual acne break out. I even did an experiment where I only put it on half of my face, and built it up as much as I could (taking time to really blend and buff into the skin in layers).

besides a slight evening in skin tone the two sides of my face were indistinguishable in blemish coverage and complexion. I would pass hard on this one. I don’t even mind light coverage(I love the complexion rescue cream from bareminerals,( that one actually does something for the complexion)) but I expect a product that i am paying for to actually DO SOMETHING.

It probably wont break you out if you have sensitive skin, but so many of bareminerals other products would do the same and actually offer something once applied. expecting a foundation and receiving a practically translucent powder with a miniscule amount of salicylic acid in it was not amusing.

Maybe it is worse because i m so fair skinned, but I just hated this product. Waste of money. I also wasn’t super pleased with the smell of the product, but could gladly use it regardless if it actually performed even close to a medium coverage foundation.

maybe the brands new blemish rescue foundation is better, but the blemish remedy is a hard no for me.

After a partial hysterectomy, I began dealing with hormonal acne, which was very frustrating, as I have never dealt with acne like this. I used this religiously for a month and my face looks better than it did before the problem started.

I only have one complaint/suggestion……the bottle is clear, but is covered with a white coating, making it impossible to see when you are running low on the product. Maybe redesign with a clear cover, or at least a “strip” that is left clear, so that you can see the amount of product left in the bottle.

Other than that, I’m so thankful I found this when I did! It has saved my skin!.

I had bought this previously for my daughter, and she has extremely picky skin! This works so well that I bought a couple jars for myself. I only use this powder for a spot treatment because I don’t have oily skin.

I’m between the shade range, so I bought two different powders to mix per use, depending on the color of my skin at that moment. It actually helps to heal pimples, thankfully! The price point is higher than I would normally pay, but I wouldn’t pay anymore than I did for this jar.

That’s just one more reason I only use this for a spot treatment/coverage. I would however buy another, if the price came down a little bit. Outside of the piece, this is seriously a great powder, even if it’s only used to cover a blemish, whether while only wearing inside the house or while I’m out running errands.

First, let me say that I am a devotee of make-up. I have used Dermablend Cover Creme, off and on, for @10 years. I think the makeup has a learning curve. One, you only need a very small amount to reach full coverage.

I think most folks compare the foundation with other brands thinking that a similar amount and the usual application techniques apply to Dermablend. Furthest thing from the truth. Use the smallest amount necessary to cover your face.

If you need additional coverage, again use a small amount and pat the additional foundation where it is needed. I use my fingers to apply and then pat that down with a damp beauty blender type sponge.

You must set this foundation. I use the Dermablend loose setting powders. You may need to buy two colors of the foundation to mix for your perfect shade. I have several to choose from. I use this foundation for highlighting and contouring as well.

If you want a perfect no-makeup makeup look, you cannot go wrong with this cover creme, if it is applied correctly. My skin looks flawless and NATURAL when I apply it which is a good technique for anyone who is looking for a great full coverage foundation.

I also use the setting spray to have a more skin like finish. I have dry skin so oilier skin types may opt to use a mattifying setting spray. If you are oily, you may also consider applying a very thin layer of the loose setting powder over well moisturized and primer skin prior to applying the foundation.

That can also help in the long term wearability on the skin. Long post, Iknow, but this is a great product.

I liked this quite a bit when I was able to afford to buy it. Clinique is really the only high priced makeup I will shell out the cash to buy. It’s just good quality. I love the convenience of a on-the-go foundation like this especially when I worked long days in customer service and wanted to make sure my makeup was staying on all day.

This is a nice touch up foundation. It did help with evening out my skin tone as well when I used the even tone serum with it. I never could find a perfect shade but I made it work. This is a buildable cream foundation too so I could just touch up spots or really slather it on and get a full coverage look.

I have been faithful (minus a few stray product tries here and there) of clinique powder compacts for years. I’ve been on the mild side of combination skin for years. My skin has been my prize with not a lot of fuss needed.

Then I got off the pill (to try for our first baby) and my skin went crazy. Oily skin that I had never had before! What seems like overnight, none of my current products can combat this new oily skin of mine.

After a frustration purchase at the drug store, I took myself to the lovely ladies at the counter for help. After re adjusting my skin care and sending me off with new moisturizer samples, I was sent home with this new compact.

I don’t really have an acne problem but this makeup really helps with the oiliness, I am pleased with the finish. Here is the downside. I’m a fair skinned, typically second to lightest shade gal, and the lightest shade in this makeup is dark and oddly rosy.

This make me sad because the product is wonderful. Clinique please take a look at these light shades again, many have posted with the same concerns, and its TRUE!.

This is the first Clinique makeup products i ever used, used their skin care line as a teenager and never thought anything of their makeup line. When i found this foundation, I was looking for something that made my face glow in natural way with out any highlighters, something that didnt make my face look cakey, with good decent coverage and some light SPF.

Well the result? I got everything I was looking for in this tiny bottle. I glowed without looking shiny and sun protection SPF 15, light to medium coverage. Watery formula but goes on so smooth and blend able.

and the color match is right on the dot.

This product gets under my skin and stays there. It has literally been the prize I have had my eye on for years – my “If Only” literally for YEARS, but Clinique always has, and continues to suck at the variety of skin tones they offer in foundation and concealer!!!!! It is actually unbelievable to me that they are so horrible that this.

They pick the most bizzare shades of skin, so many shades of orange, and perhaps most perplexing – so few shade offerings in total. If all of these details were not infuriating enough, the most exasperating part of this ordeal is that the formula has wonderful light liquid consistency.

There are no frills to this liquid acne makeup medication. It is liquid medication with 2% salicylic acid. It will treat existing acne, and cover up existing acne. It is the perfect prize – and Clinique has created the equivalent of vomit colors.

2 stars for at least the idea. But it should be negative 2 for infuriating me. So close, yet so far.

This foundation has a buildable medium to full coverage. The finish is matte. The reason that this is considered acne treatment foundation is because it contains salicylic acid. Salicylic acid helps dry out and exfoliate pimples and clogged pores.

So if you have skin on the dryer side or you are currently using salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide this will probably be too drying for you. It may be uncomfortable and feel cakey. However if you have oily skin and are only using over the counter acne medications without too much drying ingredients this shouldn’t be a problem.

There are not a whole lot of colors in this line, and the undertones are limited too. If you can try this before you buy it I definitely recommend it.

This product was great for high school when I was constantly breaking out. I was very acne-prone and I used this whenever I had a formal event or a show for theater. It covered up my acne pretty well and provided good coverage over my rosacea.

It contains a bit of Salicylic Acid which treats acne, so I felt like I was not making my blemishes worse by wearing this. One thing to note is this product was a bit drying, so I would use a good moisturizer and primer underneath it.

I was recommended this product after inquiring about the body and leg foundation. I have tattoos on my arm, legs, foot and finger. The body foundation wasn’t thick enough when the sales associate tested it on my tattoos.

And when I used it myself it didn’t actually cover any of my black lines, just the color. I spend nearly $200 on this foundation primer and setting powder just to cover my tattoos for work. Social media raves about it as a cover up for tattoos so I felt really confident in my purchase but it doesn’t cover the way I needed it to and I wish someone had mentioned that before I purchased it.

I don’t wear foundation on my face so it was a waste of money for me. I wouldn’t recommend for covering tattoos. And it was also really cakey when I used everything together.

The cover creme is advertised as a full coverage makeup specifically to hide things. I’ve purchased over 6 shades, along with putty primer and setting powder. It was recommended to purchase different shades so they can be mixed, because apparently it’s really hard to get a good shade match with this brand.

A lot of the shades are extremely orange, and are wayyy too dark or too light. Even with the primer and setting powder, this makeup slides off and starts creasing immediately. It also is not transfer resistant as is claimed, it will rub off on everything asap.

I purchased off their website that comes with a “shade match guarantee”, after reaching out to them to tell them that the colors were incorrect, they took about a month to reach out to me and it wasn’t even a person, it was an automated message.

I recently purchased Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation Natural 25N. My skin tone is a light-medium cool tone with a lot of pink so I chose a neutral color (there are not many cool choices in my tone).

The Natural 25N had a lot of yellow for a neutral color choice. It really seems more warm toned than a neutral. It is also quite drying to my skin. It seems to accentuate my creases and wrinkles. I may try a different foundation next time that offers more moisture.

This foundation covers very well. It covered the redness in my cheeks completely. I also liked the SPF 25 in this foundation.

The effect is very matte and with so much coverage the finish is a bit artificial. In our case the skin did not have too many imperfections and perhaps the coverage was excessive but in a skin with many imperfections the finish would be more beautiful since the coverage would be more necessary and appropriate.

It does not smell of any fragrance or perfume. For sensitive skin or skin that gets irritated right away, this is good news. Of course, it covers everything you have to cover: dark circles, acne, rosacea, veins, scars, etc.

The effect of silicones is noticeable as they help to hide the pores and thus correct the possible texture. It does not leave your skin smooth and perfect (or any foundation) but it does reduce the rough texture of the skin a little.

I am totally & happily dependent on Vichy Dermablend as it gives such excellent all day concealment. I have small brown areas due to sun damage and much redness due to ‘thread veins’ and have used this product without any untoward effects for many years, with a little moisturiser underneath.

I don’t need powder on top of it as skin is not greasy and it looks fine without. It does not ‘upset’ my skin like many products can, with no tendency to inflamed spots. The colour match 35 is perfect for me.

It was recommended to me years ago by a friend with a big ‘port-wine’ birthmark on her face and it was very effective for her too. Highly recommended. Please don’t change it!.

This medium to full coverage corrective foundation is suitable for all skin types. skin imperfections and blemish prone skin. The formula conceals hyperpigmentation, all skin imperfections, and blemish prone skin.

Ensures that you have an even skin tone, without feeling too heavy. For areas that need a slightly more coverage, the light fluid is buildable and is easy to blend for a perfect finish. Would advise for combination skin types when using this corrective foundation to seal in and ensure it is longer lasting, to layer with Vichys translucent setting powder, this step will delay any oils shining through, and provide added confidence for all day wear.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation is one of the few matte foundations that has worked well on my combination skin. It has a creamy consistency that is easy to blend out. It does not cake in dry areas like other matte foundations I have used.

It also does not dry out my under eye area. It performs well in my t-zone and does not make my skin oily with extended wear. This IS a full coverage product. It is not an everyday wear for me. However, it is an easy reach when I need to conceal blemishes, redness, or under eye darkness without adding shimmer or luminosity.

This product does create a flawless, airbrushed finish to apply other color products. It removes the look of all pores and any trace of freckles you may have. Though I have not experienced caking, I have experienced some cracking in my laugh lines after many hours of wear when layered with setting or translucent powder products while wearing a face mask.

I have the new version of this foundation, the Amazonian Clay 16-Hour Full Coverage Foundation (without SPF). The color range is new so the color I use to use with the SPF version, isn’t the same in the 16hr version.

I had to go into Ulta to find my color match. This is my favorite foundation so far. I threw my other ones all out because I found myself only reaching for this one. I use to only use medium coverage foundations so I was iffy about getting a full coverage foundation thinking it would feel too heavy.

I became a fan of this foundation after seeing my friend’s complexion and I was wow’d how flawless it looked. When she told me she used Tarte Full coverage, I went to the store the very next day. The consistency is like a cream/mouse.

It’s very blendable and doesn’t feel sticky after. Very little setting powder is needed after. I normally get oily after a few hours with makeup on, but I felt this foundation kept me shine free for a few hours longer and doesn’t leave me with an oil slick feeling.

Also, most importantly is that it doesn’t oxidize.

I am in love with this Tarte foundation! I was always someone that cheaped out on my makeup and just purchased from drugstores or department stores. I was never one to buy expensive makeup. One day I was at the mall by myself and decided to go get colour matched at Sephora.

They matched me and recommended this foundation. From that point on I was hooked! Gals/Guys/Dogs/Cats everyone and you great aunt Nellie, take it from me. Don’t cheap out on your makeup and if you’ve only ever bought drug store brands just give one expensive product a try.

It will be a game changer. I don’t even know how to describe it. My Tarte foundation just smells clean and natural (I’m used to my makeup having kind of a harsh stinky smell) I never get breakouts from it.

I put it on in the morning and it last all day. It does not get cakey. Covers and blends so well. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about this product. Just go out and buy yourself some, you won’t regret it!.
