20 Best Foundation To Cover Wrinkles (2023 Updated)

I was very disappointed. I bought this in a rush on my way to work because I couldn’t find my usual. I was having a skin day, leaving me extremely self conscious so I wanted something that would cover everything I wanted up to give me some confidence back.

I grabbed this, ran to the bathroom at work, and put my fave on. I didn’t so much time trying to make it look right and it just got wise and worse by the min! It didn’t paint on well. The color was off.

Most of all, it hardly covered anything. Just put as light glaze on all my flaws. When is Terry to later it would just streak and essentially wipe off what I put on before. I didn’t know which was wrist.

No make up, or this. I finished out my serving shift with my head down as much as possible and returned it as soon as I was off.

For the most part I really like this foundation. It does cover and blend away the fine lines. But when it comes to a couple of deep wrinkles that I have, to me they look a little more pronounced. Don’t use your fingers to put this on.

I find a light make-up sponge spreads it more evenly and not too thick. I have a pale complexion and ordered online. I ordered the creamy natural and I think I should have gone a shade lighter. But it does have Broad Spectrum SPF 10 and that’s a definite plus.

And it feels real light on my skin. And it has a pump so less mess.

CoverGirl is an all around good product. First and foremost it is affordable! We all have times when we struggle and pull ourselves through life on a shoestring budget, (you know we’ve all been there, or are there).

CoverGirl gives you the ability to look good without sacrificing your kids piano lessons. CoverGirl has many many shades and types so a person can address any skin type or shade. They have all the products to address any skin issue or age issue you may have ( or like me, think you have 🤷).

That is a win win in my book. The products are good quality, and unless you have skin that is really unusual, their performance is as described. I have always been able to depend on CoverGirl makeup to be right there in my makeup bag where I used it last.

This foundation is thick. A lot thicker than I expected but that’s probably because the first ingredient is a silicone which gives the foundation that rich thick feeling and it takes some time to blend it because it is so thick.

It does have good coverage and I would say it’s medium to full coverage and it covers pimple scars well. I found this foundation to be quite moisturising and has a matte finish. Which I prefer over a dewy finish.

I didn’t experience any breakouts from the Vitamin C in the formula. The main drawback for me was the scent. I would rather it be fragrance free. It smells like a fabric softener. If you have sensitive skin this may not be for you.

Even though I don’t have sensitive skin, my skin is combination, the scent is the reason I won’t personally be purchasing this foundation again. The wear on this foundation was quite good. After a few hours it hasn’t faded or oxidised and still looked fresh.

I didn’t notice that the foundation instantly reduce the appearance of any wrinkles like it says on the bottle so don’t buy this and think it’s going to. The added Hyaluronic Complex and Vitamin C basically just provided a bit of radiance and hydration along with the foundation.

I would recommend using a good primer before you apply the foundation to help blur pores and fill lines and always set your foundation with a powder.

The Covergirl Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Foundation has a luxurious, creamy texture, giving the skin a hydrated, dewy look without sitting heavy on the skin. I experimented with application techniques, using both a foundation buffing brush and a beauty blender to create different finishes.

The foundation went on smoothly and evenly using either tool and I was able to build up the coverage to create an evening look. I found this foundation gave my skin a dewy glow and was very pleased with the finish and the feel.

After setting with a primer, it was long lasting and still looked smooth and dewy many hours after application. The packaging and pump applicator were appealing to me as I didn’t have to be concerned about breakage.

The pump applicator made it easy to decanter the correct amount and not waste product. The only reason I didn’t rate this five stars was because of the lack of options in shades. I found with only 6 shades to choose from, many of them looking quite pink/peach tone that it would be difficult to find the perfect shade to suit most.

Overall, I loved this foundation and how it made my skin look and feel with the bonus inclusion of skin brightening Vitamin c and hydrating hyaluronic acid. I’ll definitely be purchasing this one.

I received this foundation as part of a kit from Look Good Feel Good during a seminar for chemotherapy patients. I was very surprised that the colour was a perfect match (shade 1). I usually am the lightest shade but without trying it out I was impressed.

It goes on so smoothly that I actually thought it was way too sheer of coverage at first. It’s actually a really nice medium coverage that looks like you’re wearing nothing at all. I was in a seminar with plenty of other women that also received this foundation and it looked great on everyone.

Most of them were older women as well so any dark spots were blended out quite nicely. I wear this all day with very oily skin and it just stays put with a cheap setting powder. I love the look of my skin when I wear it.

Being a chemo patient, it really helps make me look a bit more alive as well. The only downside to this foundation is the price. A very little bit goes a long way so I won’t be running out anytime soon, but I’m rather sad that I’ve been bumped up to a higher foundation bracket.

My Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless just doesn’t seem as amazing anymore, and I loved that stuff.

I never leave reviews, but this one was worth my time. I was a huge fan of Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat until they released the new formula. needless to say it was nothing like the original and off I set to find a new foundation.

The Prevage gives the skin a youthful radiant glow with out looking too dewy or obvious. I’m 43 and find that most makeup settles into the fine lines and pores within the first few hours, exaggerating them and making me look worse, not better.

With the Prevage my skin looks nourished and healthy, the makeup looks better the longer it’s on my face, melting in, without settling in. It is definitely on the runnier side, but don’t judge by that.

Two pumps and you’re on your way to a naturally beautiful face. The only thing I don’t like is the smell. It took me a while to get used to it. Very generic sunscreen smell to it. Once you’re past the smell though, it is a lovely product that layers really well.

This is not for someone who likes a thick layer of makeup. It is perfect for making your skin look naturally beautiful!!!.

I have serious skin problems and usually react to just about everything. This foundation went on like silk, an absolute dream, the texture is lightweight and the coverage was exceptionally good for my redness (as it is buildable).

I have dry patches and this just quenched those areas and made me look dewy. I feel radiant and I will not be returning to any other products I have used, this is for me, plus it protects from the suns dangers and has incredible ingredients.

I usually use high intensity camouflage make-up such as Dermablend by Vichy and this has knocked it out of the park. I honestly cannot say enough. I have felt some soothing to my face after just one day and cannot wait to see more.

Brilliant! I would pay the full price for this, it also out does Yves Saint Laurents famous foundation. Honestly, give it a go! If it doesn’t cover first time, build it a little with a blotting technique, you will love it.

I have used the Visible Lift product for years but lately having problems. Has L’Oreal changed the formula? I purchased a new bottle and when I pump out some makeup, it comes out all watery. It doesn’t make a difference whether I shake the bottle or not, it’s a watery mix of water and makeup that comes out and does not apply well at all.

I’m glad it’s easy to return to Shoppers with the receipt because that’s what I’ll have to do.

Goes on the skin smoothly! I love this foundation but I wouldn’t give it the full 5 stars because it doesn’t have an expiration date or batch code on the bottle to look up the date of manufacture. I try to keep my beauty items up to date and I toss those that are expired so I am in a real pickle with this one! When I am not aiming for the matte finish, I mix it with another foundation on the dewy side and the shade comes out perfect.

I would suggest for the brand to add shelf life, expiration date on bottle, or a batch code!.

As a staunch doublewear fan, as my skin is maturing (I’m 44), I wanted to try lighter, kinder foundations. I like this quite a lot. I like the consistency (slightly gel like, similar to doublewear light) and it has a pleasant, light scent that smells like skincare rather than makeup.

It has a decent, medium coverage that doesn’t cake or dry out at all on my combination skin. It doesn’t sit in fine lines either. Its staying power is actually pretty good, especially if used with a primer.

It does need touching up on my t-zone by the afternoon. I found it does oxidise on my skin so I think a primer is key and maybe going a shade lighter than you usually would. The SPF and skin care benefits are a no brainer for me.

Overall , creates a natural, healthy look that looks like good skin. A surprisingly good find for skin that wants to breath but still wants to look pretty. I’ve had lovely compliments since using it!.

I love this foundation. But why, oh why do you have to change things?? I used beige in the summertime, it was lovely and perfect for my skin tone. Then you changed the colours. Now we have cool beige, which is orange, and warm beige which is VERY orange! No.

7 assistant in store told me Calico is the nearest match – far too light. I looked like something from the Addams Family! Beige was always difficult to get, presumably because it was so popular. Are you familiar with the phrase “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”? I fail to understand why you’d change something that is such a good seller? My Winter colour is cool vanilla.

Again, perfect for me. I havnt been able to get it since before Christmas. Excuses about deliveries being delayed, then told by an assistant yesterday (who checked her hand-held stock-checker thingy) that’s it’s been discontinued! WHY? WHY! WHY?! Funny though, I’ve been able to order it on here this morning.

I was looking for a replacement for No. 7’s wonderful Beautifully Matte Foundation that has been discontinued. This is not it! The foundation was a greasy, gelatinous mess that laid on my skin. It literally felt like it was melting off my face.

I tried on 3 different occasions to work with the product (using different moisturizers/primers/powders) but gave up and returned it. I also tried the Stay Perfect foundation, but after the wonderful formula of the Beautifully Matte foundation, this one fell short too in its coverage.

I’m sad to say I’ve left the No. 7 line of products all together. I’m a brand loyalist but this brand leaves me nothing to be loyal to.

I’ve tried this before and it was totally different. But now this is perfect for my 30something skin since I won’t wear matte makeup anymore. It’s not full coverage, but it’s buildable with an excellent finish.

It looks so natural and radiant with a glow that blurs my pores. I apply it bare with a beautyblender, and it still works well with a primer or other products on top. I thought I would need a warmer shade, but Ivory “110 C” is surprisingly good for my skintone and not as “cool” as described.

I was wearing Fent-y 150 before this and needed a total change in routine. I haven’t had any break outs or issues yet, and it even held up under my mask at a funeral. I hope they don’t discontinue or change this again but it’s likely already happening so I’m trying to find others that aren’t expiring soon.

I’ve used this for a few years now and really like it. I don’t find it drying. I usually get compliments on my skin while wearing it. It goes on easily with a foundation brush. A little goes a long way.

The only drawback is its availability. I use 310 Claire 30 (C) in the warmer months and 240 Clair (C) in the colder months. Both shades are hard to find in my local stores and 240 isn’t carried in the stores at all, so I have to order it online.

I’m not sure why that is. I can’t imagine a Lancôme counter in a department store not carrying all the shades, so I’m not sure why Ulta doesn’t. Chanel also makes a fantastic foundation, but I always thought it was more expensive than Lancôme.

I kind of changed upon this just by scrolling. I was going to buy the new Charlotte Tilbury and I saw this and I read the one review. The colour chart was pretty scary and so I tried to go on their website and find a colour chart.

I did pick my exact right match but this was possibly down to fortune rather than perfect judgement. However knowing that it is the exact shade of my skin I have to say it is the best foundation I have ever used and I have used a lot A LOT of the most premium and expensive foundations out there.

I’m fortunate to have very youthful skin but I am over 40 so wanted a foundation that provided all the characteristics that this did, but was not at all heavy or Cakey. Literally I wanted my skin but better.

At 45 I was absolutely thrilled when out with my 32 year old fiancée and someone believed I was younger than him. Made my day! I use with the ultra HD self setting concealer for under the eyes and apply with a brush.

Once is plenty but it’s very buildable if you like more of a finish. I think it would suit any age skin but if you have scars or blemishes you would need to use concealer as well, as the finish is not full coverage.

Can honestly say this is by far the most superior foundation ever and my skin is grateful I bought it.

Everything this foundation claims to do, it 100% does. And it does it so well. My skin is dry and flakey, so my foundation usually gets really streaky only an hour after application no matter how well I set it.

The flakey and uneven parts of my skin always end up being emphasized and I look worse with foundation on than without. It’s extremely frustrating and I came to accept that this would just be a lifelong issue for me.

I’ve spent so much money on luxury brand foundations in hopes of a miracle… Dior, Armani Beauty, YSL, etc. Let me tell you, this one is the only one that has blown me away! My skin is glowing and dewy after application.

It feels moisturized from the second I apply until I take it off, and the product itself applies like a DREAM. I apply with a damp beauty blender and it’s wonderful. Little to no streaks or emphasized flakey skin with this.

The foundation is lightly scented but I love it. It has good longevity but fair warning: it does transfer rather easily so I recommend setting thoroughly if that will be an issue for you.

I literally pray MUFE never discontinues this formulation. I have never been so 100% satisfied with a foundation!! If you are over the age of 29 and have ANY complexion insecurities (uneven tone, fine lines, sun spots) this foundation will take them all away.

First, does anyone need a $170. 00 foundation? you just might? I honestly did not want to like this product. I was given a generous sample by the lovely ladies at Pioneer Square Nordstrom and popped it in my purse and sort of forgot about it.

I had just bought the new La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation (which is amazing) and was happy with my purchase and not necessarily looking for another NEW foundation. BUT, upon cleaning out my purse, I found the samples and decided to give it try because the Sisley ladies were RAVING about it.

Could it really be that good? Evidently, YES it CAN. Oh my! I could not believe how amazing my skin looked and felt upon trying this foundation. You can’t feel it on the skin but it is sort of plumps it up and just makes my skin look healthy.

The coverage is fantastic. There is some sort of magic in this because you only have to use a very little amount to give you a medium coverage and you can build it up in places where you need it. The best part is that the foundation actually looks better as the day goes on.

Your skin takes on a healthy glow- not greasy- just healthy. I am 48 with hyperpigmentation and it is the perfect mix of coverage. Now the shade range is a bit different. It ranges from 0R/0B to 4R/4B.

I was have light to medium skin tone and was given a sample of both Linen 2B and Ivory 1B and I opted for the 1B because the Linen was a tad bit too dark. I would normally go for LINEN in other foundations — so I would go get matched at the counter or shade down 1.

So, is it worth $170. 00. well, I am rationalizing that it actually skin care and yes, I would spend $170. 00 on a good serum. This foundation actually is chockful of anti-aging goodies, like peptides and antioxidants and this brand has amazing skincare.

Foundations are tricky to review as everyone has their own preference. (light/full/medium coverage, matte/glowy) I am a huge fan of the Sisley black rose skincare so thought I would try the anti-ageing foundation.

Well it is a beauty. It’s light to medium coverage with a cross between matte/glowy. Skin looks like your own skin but better. My combo skin needs powder midday. Comes in a glass bottle with pump applicator.

I find 1 & 1/2 pumps enough to cover so should last quite long. No SPF so would be great for pictures. I suffer from breakouts and eczema and this hasn’t irritated. I have a couple of gripes, 1. Price, but alas Sisley skincare is premium.

2. Shade range could be expanded. I would suggest asking for a sample of this before purchasing re price. Overall I love it.

For years now I’ve been using tinted moisturizers instead of foundation, because I just don’t like how cakey and fakey most foundation looks. And the ones that look more natural tend to be loaded with silicones that end up congesting skin.

The No. 1 de Chanel revitalizing foundation is silicone-free and yet has a lovely slip, applies like silk. It has a thin, almost serum-like consistency that melts in and gives skin a beautiful, natural, slightly dewy finish.

It balances uneven skin tone and smooths out surface imperfections without completely hiding natural features like freckles. I’m so glad I got shade matched by an Ulta pro, because she also gave me a valuable tip: one pump is enough to do your whole face.

It’s true – resist the temptation to over-apply, because with this product less really is more! What I’ve found works best for me is to moisturize first, then dispense one pump of the foundation onto my hand.

I then use one finger to lightly dot the product all over my face, followed by gently patting it into place with all of my fingers. For a slightly more matte finish, buff gently with a fluffy complexion brush.

I must say, this is the most I’ve ever spent on a makeup product – but a little goes a long way, and it’s completely worth it!.

I had a feeling this would be good but I’m shocked at how GREAT it truly is. Previously, my go-to foundation was Chanel Ultra Le Teint liquid (shade BR22) and that will still be my go-to for more dressy/glam occasions.

But for everyday wear, this is perfection, and BR22 in this formula is still a perfect match for me. It’s the perfect product to fit in-between tinted moisturizer and fuller coverage foundations. Here’s what I like: a little goes A LONG way.

You can easily do your face with one pump. The coverage is somewhere between light and medium. The finish is very natural and skin-like. Not too dewy but not matte. This is long-wearing! Even though it does not claim to be.

If you’re oily, this may not be for you, but for my normal to dry skin, this is perfect. And I love that the packaging is more sustainable while still maintaining that luxurious feel that Chanel is known for.

A couple tips: Make sure you SHAKE this well. When I looked at this in-store, the testers must have been sitting for a while and the product came out very thin. It needs to be shaken so the product comes out thicker.

Shades with “R” in the name have a pinker undertone (rose) Shades with “D” in the name have a more yellow undertone (dore = french for “golden”) Shades that start with B and do not have a R or D are meant to be neutral undertones.

I have tried so many different foundations over the years, and none have had me receive as many compliments as this one! It’s really good at making your skin texture look a lot better! Granted, my skin has improved so much since I started wearing makeup because I have a better skincare routine and healthier lifestyle.

(I think good skin doesn’t just rely on good skincare, but healthy living as well. ) I paired this foundation with the Stila all-in-one correcting primer, and I received so many compliments on how good my skin looked! I also used the Laura Mercier transluscent setting powder with this foundation.

The foundation itself is really good, but it worked wonders for my skin with these other products. I have textured skin from not caring very well for it as a teenager dealing with acne, but the foundation made me look so fabulous! I didn’t need to use too much either, and I love that it has buildable coverage.

I don’t wear foundation every day, and I don’t use too much, so I think the bottle will last me a while. I’ve never spent so much on a foundation, but I would probably be willing to purchase it again unless I found something else that did the same for me but at a cheaper price.

Light – medium coverage but with good correction/toning affect. I have a high colour which this neutralizes well. I also have dry skin & most foundations cake by the end of the day – this never does.

Feels lightweight & healthy on my skin.

This foundation is my favorite, one and only ! It has medium thickness consistency but the coverage is very good. Highly recommend it for the normal skin type. It’s also antiwrinkle. Price-quality over quantity.
