Sometimes it is not easy to find the perfect foundation that is a perfect skin match for your tone. Well with Avashine Colour Changing Foundation, you dont need to worry about that anymore. Our foundation makeup blends easily to match your skin tone and give you a beautiful smooth sheen.
I can’t say I like this product to much. It tends to leave different colored spots in random places. Looks greasy and feels greasy and does not cover blemishes very well. The pros? I would say it washes off easy, not expensive, and seems to last most of the day.
I would have to pass on recommending this product.
I love this foundation. It’s white but then goes clear and it blends perfectly. Even if you don’t use it full coverage it still works perfectly. I will continue to buy it even though it is a little expensive.
It’s a great product and I do recommend to try it if you haven’t yet.
Not as expected. It is not full coverage, yes it changes color but doesn’t cover anything. For me it works better as a face moisturizer so I sometimes use it as a face prep before applying my foundation.
If you are a mom on the go and want a quick even tone, then I’ll suggest this product as you can just quickly rub it in with your hands. If you are someone with skin discoloration or any kind of acne or spots that you want to hide, this is not the product for you.
I still use it as a prep occasionally, but this product is not the same as what you might expect from a foundation.

~oohhh now! i am thankful to be able to share my story with this product! with that said, i absolutely LOVE this foundation, it is fabulous! it glides on smoothly, does not leave ‘pieces’ of exfoliation on my face or dry patches and it blends with my skin tone wonderfully! ~i am a fanatic with foundation, as my skin is very dry…i have tried high-end foundation to the lower-end price range, with no success, at all! with this particular foundation, i can add a ‘glass look’ product and obtain that perfect dewey, glossy look, without that ‘heavy’, greasy feeling! the other very crucial positive factor with this foundation, is, that it does not ‘sit’ in my creases! who wouldn’t love that fact?!! amazing! ~i absolutelyyy recommend this foundation, for gals over 40, and of any age, as it has many options for all skin types! so, take a chance, at least give it a try! i hope my experience helps many gals looking for that perfect foundation for their beautiful selves! much love, y’all!.
My go-to foundation! I’ve graduated from always wearing thick full coverage foundation to LOVING a more sheer light coverage foundation! Something to even out my skin tone and cover my redness. This is IT! the shade 102 Fair Porcelain is my PERFECT match! And I love the dewy look, Altho I have combination/oily skin so I mattify it with setting powder.
It doesn’t dry my face out. It doesn’t smell bad, and I love the sunscreen factor because I am so bad at wearing sunscreen like I should! It’s a very affordable drug store brand, and I prefer this over the Clinique and other high end brands I’ve worn.
I have struggled to find a good matching foundation, so when I found this, I stopped looking! It’s the only foundation I wear now! Note: I do NOT like the matte version of this foundation. You can see my review for that, but they are not interchangeable for me.
Nars’ first 16-hour foundation has a lightweight, breathable, fade-resistant formula and features medium-to-full, buildable coverage in 33 skin-matching shades to fit all skin tones and undertones. The transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant formula stays colour-true all day, and continues to look fresh and vibrant, as if it was just applied.
This formula features superior blendability for an imperceptible effect that looks natural, like skin. It doesn’t look or feel cakey, heavy, drying, or masking. A unique combination of translucent base with micronised amino acid-coated pigments and mineral tone-balancing powders mimic skin’s tone, fusing with it for the closest match.
Nars’ Skin Optimising Complex—a blend of raspberry, apple, and watermelon extracts—helps support skin’s elastic fibers to smooth and improve skin’s appearance over time for optimal radiance. Dispense one pump or a pearl sized amount of Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and warm with fingertips.
Dispense one pump or a pearl sized amount of Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and warm with fingertips. Too much formula accentuates lines and imperfections. Avoid excess application around eyes or contours of the face.
Apply foundation starting at the center of the face and blend out with fingertips. Focus on one area at a time and blend well.
I really recommend getting a sample and seeing how this foundation works with your skin. I was recommended this at Mecca after asking for assistance in finding a foundation which is fairly full coverage, long lasting and isn’t too matte but works well with oily skin.
I was told this foundation not only would work well with my skin and give me a natural looking glow, but that it begins to look even better on the skin the longer you wear it (this was the selling point for me).
I did try it in store and I was impressed by how lightweight it felt and the coverage it gave. I usually LOVE Nars products so this seemed like a safe and exciting investment. Unfortunately, I really don’t like this foundation.
I have tried this for a few weeks now. It does feel wonderful on the skin (light) and provides decent coverage. It also worked well with most of my other products – but that’s where it ends. It is easy enough to apply but I found it oxidised REALLY quickly and went orange.
Not the be all and end all, as application of other products do soften the colour. However, upon concealer application I found my under eye circles/hollows to be far more prominent. I tried different concealers, baking under the eye etc to no avail.
Directly following makeup application it does look great (minus the eye situation)…. But for about an hour. I cannot remember a time a foundation has made me look as oily as this product (and I have used foundations designed for dry skin).
This oiliness was not even just in my usual T Zone area, but all over the face. Was so shocking I would let out a gasp whenever I looked in a mirror or in the selfie camera of my phone I really wanted to like this foundation and tried so hard to make it work using many different methods and products.

With just five pure ingredients, bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation delivers flawless coverage and the creamy minerals are clinically proven to improve the appearance of skin over time. It looks like a powder, feels like a cream, and buffs on like silk, giving skin a natural luminosity while feeling as if you are not wearing any makeup at all.
I am on accutane at the moment (therefore my skin is very dry and I have a lot of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, aka red and pink spots everywhere) and I cannot get any liquid foundations to stick to my skin.
They just come straight off on the brush or beauty blender as I’m trying to apply them. This has been super frustrating that I would sometimes end up doing my foundation 2-3 times before I was even remotely happy with it.
I had a travel size of the bareminerals powder foundation in my drawer and thought, maybe I’ll see what happens if I use this. Oh my GOD!!! It has seriously saved me. I only need to apply my foundation once which is the biggest relief ever and it stays on!!! It does not highlight dryness, nor does it make my already dry skin any worse.
I can very easily use other powder products on top. It covers all my acne scarring and pigmentation amazingly- better than a lot of liquid foundations I’ve tried. If you are on the fence, you need to buy this.
It’s so good to have for bad skin days when your usual makeup won’t behave. I apply my skincare, sunscreen and allow it to dry before applying Bareminerals Prime Time primer or Smashbox Original Photo Finish primer (they’re pretty much the same thing), and then the powder foundation.
I have shade Golden Ivory and for reference I’m about an NC20-NC25. Thank you Bareminerals ❤️.
I’m 59 and have been using this foundation off and on for years. I had switched over to IT Cosmetics CC cream (which I still like) but switched back to this one summer when my oily skin was being a problem.
Yes, somehow I’m still oily at 59 – which I guess is good since I am just now starting to get lines around my mouth. I find that the Bare Minerals sets much less into these lines than the CC cream or even the Il Makiage liquid foundation that I just bought.
How I use this: I first put on serum, moisturizer (Sunday Riley Good Genes) and then Murad Invisiblur. I then take a dense, flat ended foundation brush (mine’s by IT cosmetics), pick up just a small amount of foundation, and instead of buffing, I tap it into my skin.
That seems to do a better job of disguising pores. I follow up with a little IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores powder and if I have to wear a mask that day, I finish off with the UD finishing spray which keeps the mask clean.
The finish looks great and I can’t really tell I’m wearing foundation (at my age I check everything in a 10x magnifying mirror to make sure I’m not looking like a clown!) This for me performs better than any liquid foundation, and I used to be a MAC makeup artist so I know what I’m doing application wise.
I first tried Bare Minerals in the late 90s after seeing it on TV and was supremely underwhelmed. It was cakey and thick and with one drop of sweat made me itch so much that I wanted to scratch my face off.
Fast forward several years and I’ve tried Bare Minerals Original again, after studying articles & videos on application – and now I’m in love. First, I’ve found I can avoid the itch by beginning with a primer.
Bare Minerals Original does contain Bismuth, which some people are sensitive to. Primer before adds a barrier that has stopped the itching for me. Regarding application, it’s all about technique and not using too much product! Swirl, tap & buff.
and buff. and buff! That buffing the key to an even, flawless finish with Bare Minerals, as it really does help the powder blend with the moisture on your face and not settle into lines and pores. I blend 3 shades to get the color that works best for me, but Bare Minerals is quite forgiving and easy to match to individual skin tones.
If you’re on the fence I’d say give it a try – if you’re not happy, reflect on your technique before you decide this is not the makeup for you!.

It’s available in 40 shades, to enhance every skin tone with 4 clear families (light, medium, tan, deep) and 3 undertones (red, neutral, and yellow).
A new generation skin care foundation with buildable coverage for an instantly flawless, natural result and an even more beautiful skin, day after day. Comes in a wide array of shades to color match all yellow, pink & neutral undertones.
I have been looking for a new foundation that would work on mature, dry skin. Something that would look like skin but still give up to medium coverage. I saw a YouTube video that mentioned this one. The price point is great and so many shades to choose from.
I used the shade finder and it found me a perfect match for my skin. One complaint. the color swatches it showed me were not very accurate. I found them to be darker than they should be. I went by the written description.
This foundation is lovely. It glides over my pores and fine lines. It feels weightless to me. It works beautifully on dry skin but it’s not heavy with moisturizing ingredients. No fragrance. It dries nicely but I always lightly powder certain areas to help any foundation set.
I haven’t seen any oxidation in the color. I find it wears all day without added primer or setting spray under normal conditions. Hot, humid weather creatures issues for any makeup so use whatever you like to help it along.
I am extremely pleased and impressed. Good Job, Sephora!.
The Truly Matte Foundation has a long wearing, high pigment formula that applies as a liquid and blends to a beautiful matte, powder-like finish. Available in 14 shades to compliment a wide range of skin tones.
Don’t sleep on this foundation! Have been using it since I first started doing makeup, which was in 7th grade. It’s affordable. Till this day I still use it and it’s the best. It blends so easily and it doesn’t cake up when used correctly.
Also its coverage is medium but can be turned to full if mixed with a bit of powder. Definitely love this foundation for the daily use. It’s a good foundation for a natural look. Picture shown below is from when I was younger and I would only use this foundation.
I recently got this foundation at the drugstore, without hearing much from it but wanted to try it! I have oily skin but actually, as weird as it may sound, never really liked a Matte finish. However, when I first tried this product I loved it, the coverage is good and buildable, and the finish yes, it is “truly matte” but pretty comfortable and doesn’t feel cakey or heavy on the face, I usually don’t set ir with powder because I don’t find it necessary, doesn’t transfer a lot and on my oily skin it does last throughout the day looking good.
Highly recommend but not for dry skin tho. About the packaging I really like it for the price point! Feels heavy and the pump is really good quality. My only complaint (that’s why I don’t give 5 stars) is that it have a certain smell that I don’t like at all.
I purchased this based on videos I have been watching for affordable makeup and I like a matte finish so I bought this product at my local dollar tree and I am not disappointed! I would recommend this for people who are combo to oily with the right primer paired with it.
If you’re dry maybe a more hydrating primer but I loved this. The coverage is great and blends nicely and doesn’t settle in fine lines. I’m wearing the shade Porcelain which is the lightest it goes and this is pretty fair.
I am 1W0 in Estée Lauder for comparison and this suits me so well. I would say you can’t beat for the price! If you’re struggling but want to look beautiful and wear a little makeup I would say go no further and pick this up at your local dollar store!.
Wear confidence. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup is a 24-hour liquid foundation with a flawless, natural, matte finish that helps to unify uneven skin tone and control oil and shine. Buildable medium-to-full coverage in over 55 shades.
An oil-free foundation for natural-looking, full coverage and a beautiful, radiant finish. Born This Way is an oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can’t see the makeup or the imperfections just a natural-looking, luminous, flawless complexion.
The revolutionary formula is infused with a potent combination of Coconut Water to naturally replenish moisture levels; nature’s resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity and Hyaluronic Acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance.
It is formulated without: parabens, sulfates, phthalates. This cruelty-free product is formulated without gluten.
Let me start by saying that my opinions and experiences are my own and may or may not reflect your own personal experience or opinion. I have normal-combination skin and like everyone I have some texture though not a lot.
I also have a few fine lines here and there starting to form though despite my age my skin is in excellent condition. I’m a lot closer to 40 than I am to 35 and usually get clocked for mid 20’s at most.
I recieved this in the shade Pearl and upon first application the shade seemed pretty spot on. I tend to have a difficult time nailing down a perfect match because I not only run between shades, my undertone is also hard to nail down.
Most foundations run either too dark or too light and the undertones run too pink or too yellow(including neutral undertones). I was excited when I saw that this one looked like I may have finally nailed down a perfect match first try.
It did wind up oxidizing a little though and as it dried down more it did start to pull a bit more yellow though I was able to still work with it. I also tend to lean more towards light to medium or medium/buildable coverage and natural to slightly dewy/luminous (though not disco ball or oil slick) finishes and I like products that feel light weightless on the skin.
This has a medium-full buildable coverage and is infused with coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid and oil free. It also claims to “masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin” and that the coverage is “so undetectable” that skin looks naturally flawless.
Unfortunately for me that wasn’t the case, I tried using it multiple times and tried many different applications and used 1/2 to a full pump and for me it felt very heavy and mask like despite not using that much and I found that what little texture and fine lines I do have it actually accentuated rather than blurred and looked dry in aome spots.
I did not experience that flawless natural skin-like finish that the claims boast. I tried it with and without primer, different primers even the primer that is supposed to work with the foundation and no such luck.
I just couldn’t get it to work for me or work the way I like my foundation to work. I will say that one plus for me was that it is fragrance free which is nice because some products have just way too much fragrance so if you are sensitive to fragrance this will be good for you.
Also if you like full coverage, this will also be great for you because it is full coverage indeed, it can cover mistakes from last week 😄. I think had it not been so heavy feeling and I were just a few years younger without some of these beginning signs of aging I probably would have liked it a bit more.
That being said, though I couldn’t get it to work for me for it intended purpose of a foundation, I did find that it’s not too bad as a slight spot concealer. I actually ran out of my favorite concealer and this was the closest thing to me at the moment so I put a spot on a p alette plate and mixed in a couple drops of a priming oil and applied with a concealer blending brush and it seemed to work really well that way.
The priming oil helped kind of counteract the matte finish and also thinned it out so it wasn’t so heavy though I wouldn’t use it like that for all over unless I wanted a massive break-out. So overall though it didn’t work for me personally at least not for its intended purpose I still found some use for it.
If you’re into the full coverage thing then it may be good for you, otherwise if you prefer lighter coverage or have any signs of aging at all I would probably just pass on this one.
I received this item for free in return for my review. Born this Way by Too Faced is in my all time Top Five favorite foundations and is a foundation I feel everyone should own or keep on their kit for clients.
It is extremely versatile and leaves skin looking like skin while smoothing and blurring out any texture you may have while lasting all day if applied properly. It’s not matte and it’s not dewy, it is a true satin skin line finish but can be manipulated to be matte or Dewey.
It’s extremely versatile, it can be used with lotion for sheer coverage or you can increase the coverage by layering the product once it has dried down. It also can be made either matte or more luminous and dewy by simply using the proper primer and setting powder for a matte look or using a moisturizing primer (after using moisturizing skin care) with luminosity in it and staying away from powder and just using a dewy setting spray.
It’s fantastic for all skin types, if you struggle with combination skin and visible pores this foundation is for you. A pore filling primer placed strategically will make this foundation truly shine.
This is a more affordable dupe of the Giorgio Armani Powerfabric. It does oxidize a bit upon drying so I suggest shade matching using your neck and stepping into daylight after it’s dried to find your proper shade.
You do NOT need any setting powder with this foundation during colder dryer months and in humid and hot weather a finely milled setting powder like Hourglass carries will make this last all day. There is only one drawback to this foundation which is stunning on the face, and that is if you have sensitive acne prone skin you may break out from daily use.
I believe it’s the coconut water used in the foundation that breaks me out as Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people by clogging pores and making acne worse.
However if you need a stunning foundation for a night out and use an anti-acne primer it can provide some form of protection for your skin and it, in my opinion, is worth the risk.
I would not consider the foundation as medium full coverage I would consider it as a full coverage. my skin is very acne prone with lots of scarring and combination skin. this with one coat plus maybe a few touch ups provided enough coverage to go with it.
it felt very light it wasn’t setting heavy on my skin as a lot of the other full coverage foundations do that I have tried. the only complaint I have is possibly the staying power it kind of tended to wipe off around my mouth area but that was like 8 hours of wearing it so that’s not really a complaint I would say lol.
I was very hesitant about posting a picture without it on because I tend to be self-conscious about my face without having any makeup on. but for people like me that has trouble skin I wanted to show you guys how well this product worked for my skin.
a lot of the times we view foundations on advertisements that show the before and after pictures with someone with already beautiful flawless skin and it kind of deceives the idea of if not people with skin problems should purchase it or not because it doesn’t show us how well it would work for our kind of skin.
that’s one thing I can say that I cannot stand about makeup advertisements is they show the product before and after on someone with flawless skin so it really doesn’t give us a good idea of how well the product even works.
I spent hundreds of dollars on foundations due to the product being so deceiving on in the advertisement showing it on a flawless skin and then I’ll go out and purchase the product and then it’s terrible for my skin type so it’s funny wasted.
I can say though that even with this product being $40 a bottle I will go out and repurchase this again due to how well it works. as this product if I could find products like this more often that were at a medium price point that actually worked I wouldn’t mind spending the extra money on it that way I know for sure that the product is going to be a good one.
I have tons of bottles of foundations that I’ve bought based on advertisements that are just sitting in my makeup containers. this would be a great purchase. however my before and after pictures are me applying the foundation about 1:00 p.
m. and wearing it until I would say about 10:00 p. m. the picture with the foundation on is with a drugstore primer the foundation and then a drugstore setting powder that’s all and then later the night when I took the foundation off that’s when I took the after picture of my skin with nothing on it beside the moisturizer.
BE KIND TO THE NO MAKE-UP PIC PLZ. I HAVE LITERALLY TRIED PRESCRIPTION TREATMENTS RETINA A AND ALSO DOXYCYCLINE FOR MY ACNE IT WORKS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN IT SEEMS TO BECOME IMMUNE TO MY SKIN AND THEN IT DOESN’T WORK ANYMORE SO NOW I AM EXPLORING FURTHER OPTIONS.

Makeup revolution is one of my favourite makeup retailers on the high street. It offers great products for great prices however there is something wrong with their foundations and how they react to my skin (this isn’t the first foundation from them that hasn’t worked for me).
Now firstly the product has the heaviest paint smell I have ever witnessed with a makeup product, it smells as strong as a pot of paint. Secondly the applicator isn’t that great, I mean I loved it for their concealers but a dofer for a foundation I don’t find very sanitary and I could see it contributing to peoples skin breaking.
out. Onto the product, the shade range of course is brilliant something make up revolution are always amazing at they offer almost every skin tone and undertone although I’m still yet to find my exact shade (they also do oxidise slightly) on applying the product it goes on okay – a medium/full buildable coverage looks okay on the skin / powder doesn’t have too bad of a effect on top although after a few hours this absolutely BREAKS UP completely!! I’ve never had a foundation crease and sink into my pores so much, I noticed once I was out of the house and I was so embarrassed by this, my pores looked twice as big my face liked holey!! I also found it transferred everywhere with the slightest touch.
I tried this again a few months later and the exact same results. Hate HATE HATE!!!.
I read all the amazing reviews (I read about 6 pages) and decided to go for it. Upon receiving it I immediately tried it and completely didn’t understand the hype. Yes it had okay coverage but It made me look oily yet patchy, far more wrinkled than I am and it didn’t last long.
I’ve spent over a week trying different primers / powders and still, I look awful. I’ve never had dry patches but for some reason it’s sticking to two patches on my face and I honestly can’t understand why! Nothing had ever done this on my face.
Also, the description says it won’t settle in fine lines and creases, WRONG! It’s made every small fine line look way worse than they actually are by clinging and settling in there. To read well balanced reviews you have to change the default setting to lowest rating.
There you’ll get pages amd pages of different reviews that say the same thing I have. They are conveniently at the back, where nobody will read to. I suggest everyone looks at those to. This is going in the bin, it’s awful.
I’ve given 5 star in the hope this review makes it to the first pages and people can read a review with issues mentioned that so many others have stated but have been put way back on the last few pages.
So after multiple journeys with this foundation, I realized I actually really like it. It is full coverage, it lasts pretty dang long and it’s really easy to apply (especially if you’re in a hurry. this covers up everything super fast and easily).
I compared this one next to my all time favorite full coverage foundation (Urban Decay All Nighter) and it lasted almost the same amount of time. I did notice this one does settle into lines a little easier than the UDAN but for the price.
I can’t really complain. I used to HATE this foundation. Seriously, every time I used it I always wanted to take it off right away, until I figured out why. The reason I was feeling that way was because I was applying WAAAAYYYYY too much trying to get it to full coverage when all you really need is a little amount.
I also used to use this without moisturizer before and realized that’s where I was really going wrong. Moisturizer and a good primer (pore filling or smoothing) really makes this foundation worth while.

It’s taken me decades to realize I’m neutral with cool undertones. I grew up using drugstore makeup and I always looked orange, but I never understood why. I tried MF’s Neutral 2 after uploading my photo and virtually trying on the shades.
It was close, but just a bit too light. The next darker shade in any of the tone families was Cool 2, so I gambled…and won. I’ll say that Cool 2 isn’t super cool, so it works. Coverage is light to medium—I wish it was just a hair thicker.
I’ve used brands that just sit on top of my skin and don’t sink in; and brands that truly sink in and give me the perfect airbrushed finish. MF falls in the middle. I buy MF because with the setting powder, it stays on all day; and I love the clean ingredients and convenience of shopping for it at my local Sprouts store.
I stick with MF for all my cosmetics to simplify my shopping; the setting powder, nail polish, polish remover, eye shadows, and eye pencils are all excellent. In particular, the eye shadow stays put all day, an amazing feat in my experience.
I am having a hard time finding my shade. I tried and used “Try it on” feature and received a color that was dark for my complexion. I reached out to customer service and they were kind to send me a shade lighter and when I received it the color shade did not match my undertones and it was too yellow for me.
I tried using it anyway with my old foundation I use in another brand. Thinking I can mix the two to get a nice blend but it’s not working. Also the product is oily for my skin. I was starting to break out recently.
I really want to like this product considering it’s clean with less harmful chemicals but it’s not working for me. I’m looking to see if there is anyway to donate the foundation and compact I have because it’s a waste to trash it.
I really love this makeup line. Especially for the fact they produce clean beauty products. The finish for the Mineral Fusion’s foundation is beautiful. It’s perfect for those who like natural looking, lightweight foundations.
The only reason why I’m giving this foundation a four star rating as well as their other products is because there’s an ingredient in their formulas that made me break out. If it weren’t for that factor, I’d be a customer for life.
Now I have to go on the hunt again to find truly clean beauty products that wear just as good as Mineral fusion’s… If your skin isn’t as sensitive as mine, I highly recommend this brand!.

This is one of maybe five actually “clean” foundations that Sephora sells. After facing hair loss and fertility issues from the harsh ingredients and dangerous toxins found in the majority of my make-up products, hair products, and nail care (along with foods, detergent, etc.
), I went completely clean and started to only use approved products as verified through Clearya (app to detect dangerous ingredients in products and food). This is by far the best clean foundation out there for oily/combination skin.
I was so skeptical, as I never used stick foundations before and (before only using clean products) I had severe acne, but this did a fantastic job not only hiding any blemishes I had, but it literally looked like my skin but better.
I cannot recommend this foundation enough and I have put so many of my friends onto it as well. I really do think it has also helped my acne overall, as I used to have severe cystic acne and I now hardly even get blemishes.
Thank you, Milk Makeup, for making a safe and clean product that actually works! My body is finally recovering from the many toxins my skin used to consume and my hair loss and overall health has improved drastically.
I was so excited to try this foundation stick, as I wanted a good amount of coverage without having to put a thick layer of foundation on to achieve that. The first time I used it, it was fine. I didn’t have any issues other than my color match being a tiny bit off.
It gives a great amount of coverage in a light layer and it’s buildable, which is nice. I continued to use it for a few more days and started noticing things about it that definitely bugged me. The biggest issue I ended up having with it is the fact that the foundation itself felt pretty oily on my skin and probably made me more oily throughout the day.
I noticed that the foundation even started to kind of “separate” while it was on my face and I wasn’t too thrilled about that. After a while, I also noticed that this foundation actually looked super cakey on my face, even with only using a light layer.
I don’t bake my foundation our concealer and I set everything lightly, but well, and my results were still cakey and gross. I don’t usually use a primer, so I might have gotten better results with that, but I don’t like foundations that require a lot of maintenance to use.
All in all, I should have listened to the reviews, I definitely don’t love this foundation and won’t rebuy it unless a new formula comes out.
I bought this foundation in Light Sand because that’s my colour match for the Flex concealer. The foundation is a touch lighter in colour than the concealer but nothing too noticeable. My first impression was how stiff/dry the foundation stick was.
I was expecting something a bit more creamy. However, it does blend well. It has buildable light to medium coverage. If you want lighter coverage, dab over your face and then blend out with a foundation brush or fingers.
If you want more coverage, you can swipe the foundation on and press down a bit more firmly. It can get cakey if you drag it around your face so less is definitely more with this product. I didn’t try this with a primer, just put it on top of my Elf daily moisturizer.
It worked well with my Flex concealer and my Milk setting powder. No pilling or flakes. It dries down fast so I recommend blending quickly and don’t let it set. You can probably skip the setting powder if you have dry skin.
