20 Best Foundation For Red Skin (2023 Updated)

I love the new formula–a wonderful foundation. I tried the redness solutions foundation years ago when it first came out, but could not use it. It would dry out my skin and settle into my pores within an hour or two of applying.

I recently purchased it to try again when I read reviews talking about how much the formula had changed. I am totally in love with the new formula. It goes on so smooth, completely covers the redness and does not irritate my sensitive skin.

It keeps my skin feeling moisturized and calm all day. I use the redness cleanser and moisturizer. I then follow with the foundation and yellow powder. My skin looks so smooth and happy.

This is without question an innovative foundation. I don’t believe that there is an equivalent to it with any brand. I love skincare and makeup combined and this really qualifies as just that. I recently began having a lot of redness and dryness with my skin.

Patches of it that made me literally stay in the house as much as possible. It also was itchy and irritated. If I put on foundation and I have tons and tons of them, it was liable to increase the discomfort.

I saw this on Ulta and it seemed like the perfect makeup for me. It’s $31 ,so definitely not the worst price, I have paid more. The bottle is tiny but it’s still the standard one fluid ounce. The foundation is dispensed by a tiny nozzle that really does a great job not over dispensing product.

It’s easy to apply it straight to my face. It requires very little product for real results. The coverage of this is amazing. Redness be gone!! I use my Sigma F80 and it blends in just seconds. The thing that really makes this a winner for me is that it actually soothes my irritated areas.

It feels cooling and hydrating, unlike other makeup I tried. My skin appears less red in general since I have been using it. I do need to use a powder with this or it is not going to last long but any powder I have tried with it works beautifully.

It is not the lightest weight foundation but it doesn’t bother me. I do, however, think Clinique could work on the shades a bit. Calming Fair is still a bit too dark for me and that is the fairest shade.

The undertone is slightly too orange as well. I can make it work with powder but some new shades would be excellent. If you struggle with redness and/ or irritated, inflamed skin and are looking for something that will cover and soothe, this is going to be the makeup that you need to get.

I have been struggling with atypical rosacea for a very long time. I don’t have the typical red cheeks and nose but various, changing but chronic red patches on my face. I have used concealers to the point of looking overly made up only to have redness peaking an hour after application.

I have also had a problem finding a foundation color that “mixed” with redness and I finally scooped up a bottle of my daughters redness solutions and VOILA, I am a new and happy woman. This foundation is incredible AND lasting.

I just want to say thank you for allowing me to look in a mirror again without cringing. Absolutely life changing.

I don’t know why I’ve never discovered a product like this before. This is definitely an incredible product if you want something that is light to medium coverage, but doesn’t look like you have any make up on whatsoever.

When you put it on your face, it’s kind of watery thin in inconsistency, but as you move it around your face with your fingers, it becomes thicker and just blends in. Definitely gives you that, “your skin, but better” look! An Absolutely amazing product! I love that it doesn’t cling to dry patches or texture on your face.

I also love that it doesn’t make me break out or settle into wrinkles! I’m in my late 40s, I’m acne prone, have combination skin and this light foundation did not make me break out! I love this product so much, I have recommended it to five friends already.

SO Amazing!! Leaves my skin looking like somebody gave me perfect skin without looking like I have all kinds of make up on! I love this product and will definitely buy again!.

Face and Body was my go-to everyday foundation. I LOVED IT! It made my skin look healthy – it was moisturizing without looking oily (never clinged to dry patches!), and covered my redness while leaving enough skin coming through to look completely natural.

It was the perfect foundation, and I’ve tried A LOT. I don’t know who at this company had a big brain idea to change a classic MAC formulation that everyone loved (and apparently only allow makeup artists to use the old formula?? why??).

Here’s how the new formula is different (I still have the old one to compare): It looks MUCH shinier on the face. 5 min after putting it on I look like I’m sweating. I never had to powder with the old F&B and now I do.

It’s still moisturizing for a foundation, BUT less than the old formula, and it clings to some dry patches and looks uneven/splotchy. It has less coverage??? The old F&B was pretty sheer, but this one.

it’s weird. It SEEMS like the same amount of coverage at first, but my redness is coming through now, where the old formula it doesn’t. And the gross sheen this leaves behind. it enhances all the texture on my skin.

I’m just appalled! MAC, please bring back the old formula to the everyday consumer! I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but this might be it for me.

I cannot believe I have not known about this product until now. I am 38 and I now feel I have found my holy grail product! For the past 25yrs I have struggled to find any foundation shade that matches me, as I have fair skin with redness and dark blue under eye circles; however I have continuously drudged on trying to find colour shades (with failure after failure) in both concealer and foundation.

I like the natural look and do not like heavy caked on make up; however the hunt is now truly over! This product is absolutely incredible and I no longer have to wear foundation (and hardly have to wear any concealer either, as redness is hugely reduced to natural finish).

I now just apply a tiny dot of CC red correct to my forehead, nose, chin and both cheeks. Then gently massage into skin with my finger and see it magically change from green to my skin tone colour! It is so natural looking and takes the redness down to a natural skin finish.

Light texture, easily absorbed and beautiful finish. Cannot recommend this highly enough, it is absolutely an amazing find and has totally as revolutionised my morning routine (its now moisturiser, primer, CC red correct with touch of concealer under my eyes) AND most importantly – I feel so confident in my own natural skin! The product lasts all day, does not come off onto my face mask (I wear masks for my work, 12hr shifts); so honestly if you struggle to find a shade to match your skin or just want a natural finish, you should definitely buy this product, as you will not be disappointed.

I received a sample and am converted to this product. I have very fair skin with pink undertones, and get rosacea across my cheeks. This is a lovely light coverage product that gives a natural look. It is best sealed with a touch of finishing powder for longevity.

If you are after something that is full coverage, this is not for you. This knocks back the general pink in my skin, which normally looks like I’m permanently blushing. It also blends my rosacea patches (large, Raggedy-Anne doll circles on my cheeks) back into my general skin tone.

It looks very natural. If you want this product to hide very strong redness or veins, this won’t do the job. I have a few veins and while this makes them a less obvious, they definitely require concealer if I want to completely hide them.

If you like something that look natural and feels light on your skin, I’d recommend it. I’m now buying it for my mum.

If you need a red corrector, this is hands down the best. It’s not drying, layers under makeup perfectly but also works really well as a stand alone. When used alone, it’s a my skin but better effect.

You can’t tell I’m wearing anything, it just tones down my rosacea and makes me look like my skin is naturally luminous and beautiful. Under make up, it makes me look flawless and I’ve personally found it extends the wear of my foundations significantly.

I’m an oily skinned gal and this is like magic for helping my foundation last longer before my oils come through. I’m getting consistent twelve hour wears before I need to even blot. Also this paired with the cc cream is.

*chefs kiss* I would highly recommend this and won’t be without it in my kit now.

I will start by saying I really enjoy Lancome foundations. I have tried and used up the whole bottle (which for me, is an accomplishment!) of two different foundations from Lancome in the past. Having said that, I was eager to try the new Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Long Wear Foundation.

I had the opportunity to try a complimentary sample and I was definitely not disappointed. Upon first try, I was worried that it was going to be too light even though the color I chose looked like it would fit me perfectly.

When I was first applying it, It looked so pretty, like a light glowy foundation. I wondered how it would last 24 hours if it wasn’t matte. I soon found out! The color deepens a little as it dries down and once it dried, it was indeed my 100% perfect shade.

The dewiness tapered down some, but even when it “set” it still looked very pretty, like my own skin, but better. My favorite part of the foundation is how light it feels!! I forget that I have foundation on.

And it is so smooth and powdery light upon touching it. And it is full coverage to boot! I don’t believe I have ever tried a full coverage foundation that also feels so light on. Incredible! Other than my nose which is the oiliest part of my face, I didn’t have to touch up with powder throughout the day.

I don’t sleep with my foundation on, so I couldn’t tell if you if it lasts 24 hours, but it certainly lasted 14! I really love this foundation and will 1,000% be purchasing a replacement bottle once my sample runs out.

If you have normal to combination skin, like a lighter feeling full coverage liquid foundation that lasts all day and looks velvety, this is the foundation for you!.

YSL make some impressive foundation formulas and this one might be the most impressive of all. I generally steer clear of full coverage foundations because they often sit on top of my skin and look heavy and unflattering.

But I also suffer from discolouration, so my redness does shine right through light and even medium coverage foundations. Finding a full coverage foundation that doesn’t look like a mask or look patchy on my combination skin is like searching for a unicorn, but All Hours might just be it.

This is definitely full coverage so you have to work fast before it dries down to an almost velvet/powder finish, but it covers nicely and doesn’t look flaky or uneven. Now, I prep my skin thoroughly beforehand with lots of moisture, which might be the trick to this.

It sets so well that the only spot I set with powder is my under eye area. This stays put and doesn’t break apart as the day goes on. A little oil shines through by end of day, but it still covers beautifully.

It also doesn’t irritate my acne-prone skin. The flip side is that I won’t buy this until YSL goes cruelty-free. It’s such a shame and totally unnecessary in this day and age. I had to remove a star from this otherwise perfect foundation for that reason.

I’m in the shade BD 50 warm honey. This is my perfect match (NC40 in Mac). I’ve never found a foundation that matches my skin as perfectly as this does. It’s my skin color in a bottle!!!! The issues I had with this foundation is that it’s not as buildable as you’d think.

It will begin to look a bit cakey if too much is layered. I like to use a thin layer in order to even out my base then use a concealer to spot conceal. I do this in order to avoid having that “foundation” face look.

It’s super important to have a hydrated and smooth complexion as this foundation will cling to dry patches and texture like crazy. I find that it looks better as the day progresses. I do advice that you have some blotting sheets as it does get a tad bit dewy.

I apply this with a beauty blender as I find that the consistency of this foundation is very serum like and the brush bristle leave streaks. I don’t usually wear primers but for this, I found that the hourglass mineral primer does help.

It is also quite fragrant but pleasant. Smells very luxurious and almost an exact match to the scent from the discontinued Dior Skin star foundation. It’s definitely the type of foundation you’ll have to play with to see how it best works for you.

After a bit of trial and error, this has surpassed a bunch of my HG foundations and has recently been all I’ve been reaching for. I have normal to dry skin that’s cystic acne prone, but that’s currently under control and I just have a few blemishes.

I live in Texas and it’s currently Summer, so comfortable and long-wearing base makeup is a must for me. This is the most sweatproof product I’ve ever found. It has a feeling similar to MAC’s Studio Fix fluid when it’s dry, where you know it’s set down and isn’t going to budge.

It’s also so thin and lightweight, but it has great coverage so you only need the tiniest amount of it. Because of this, it’s not at all uncomfortable to wear in hot weather. For application, I use 1-2 pumps for my entire face, and I apply it with my hands in a stamping/patting motion.

I think this is the key, as I’ve disliked the finish when I tried it with sponges/brushes, and I’ve actually found that it didn’t wear as well. I think it really benefits from being pressed into the skin with the warmth of my hands, plus it works out as the product dries SUPER fast and this method is so fast as well.

The other thing? I find it only works at its best when I DON’T powder it, so if you absolutely need powder, your mileage may vary. Overall, the performance and ease of application make this such an easy favorite of mine.

I’m honestly strongly considering buying a backup, which I never ever do. It’s that good.

This foundation is very interesting. It applies beautifully with blender or brush, has a nice scent and the initial moments of wear has you looking stunning! However, even with the best setting powder IT GETS EVERYWHERE, noticeably oxidizes a few shades down, and starts feeling super heavy and dry around the 30 minute mark.

This foundation is not for those with sensitive skin, nor for those with combo skin either- i would say its great if you have oily skin but with how much it smears its really a buyer beware situation.

Due to it constantly being on sale, I would say its an ehh buy for those who are in desperate need for foundation- otherwise you’re best off with another foundation.

Is Natasha denona a gift from the gods!!! After around 25 years of searching for the perfect foundation from high end to drug store, I think I have finally found ‘the one’. Firstly a little bit about my skin I have mature,oily skin with enlarged pores.

I got caught up in the denona hype and order this foundation on a whim while purchasing some other denona products. Reviews on this foundation where a bit hit and miss so I didn’t have high hopes and though I may regret my purchase.

It is a beautiful medium to full buildable foundation. It is very skin like and doesn’t get Cakey (best application with zoeva buffer brush). The foundation last for over 10 hours without touch up and looks more glowey than oily at around the 8-10 hour mark.

I have light/medium to medium cool to neutral toned skin and 40n is the perfect match for me, I found this by watching YouTube foundation reviews with make up gurus who have a similar skin tone to me (TBH I don’t think I would have ordered this shade otherwise).

In my opinion it also looks like it adapts to your skin tone. I can’t even explain the joy!!! I have tried it with 3 different primers, it works great with all of them. I have also found when I remove the foundation at the end of the night my pores look minimised.

If, like me, you are thinking about trying it I would say go for it!!!! Also if you are scared of cream blush because it removes your foundation and disappears within a couple of hours and you look a hot mess, Natasha’s cream blushes will change your life!!!!.

I have tried a lottttt of foundations but this is miracle. I have a combination skin type, which T-zone can be shiny after hours but the cheeks can be flaky after that. But this foundation is like magic.

My makeup still on for 8 hours after that with just a little bit shiny at the forehead. And the coverage is perfect, no concealer needed after. Will definitely get a full size after this ran out.

I’ve been using this foundation in shade sand for the past few months and I love it! Previously, I was using an Anastasia liquid foundation but the store I went to was out of my shade so they suggested I try this one as it’s very similar and it’s been great! It’s a full coverage foundation.

It’s also on the pricier end but a little product goes a long way with this one.

one of the best foundation ever, after i used ysl foundation, i thought is my problems that my skin is really bad until i cannot use foundation. but this proves me wrong, this is still a good foundation even when my skin condition is bad! don’t really have high coverage but is more than enough as i could use other concealer product instead of wanting a foundation to have high coverage.
